The 13th Kenpachi 4,279 Posted August 31, 2016 (edited) Welcome everyone! This is the thread for discussing My Hero Academia, both manga and anime, as well as My Hero Academia Illegals-the spin off manga! Post manga spoilers in a SPOILER TAG http://www.funimation.com/shows/my-hero-academia/home Please support the official release, you can find the volumes very cheap on amazon if you live in the UK through UK book depository via amazon. https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&fieldkeywords=my+hero+academia Volumes can also be bought through Viz media https://www.viz.com/my-hero-academia. As of this post there are only 9 so far so it's not hard to catch up! I can't tell you where to find new chapters but with a quick google search I doubt it'll take long. They usually release online on Thursdays in the UK and USA. When I have a better idea of the release time I'll update this sentence... Chapters for MHA Illegals release monthly, they are written by HideYuki Furuhashi and the art is done by Betten Court-with the original concept coming from Kohei Horikoshi himself. Chapters for My Hero Academia Illegals are published in Shounen Jump Giga and thus, they will always be MONTHLY. The anime has had it's first season with season 2 presumably coming out next year, season 1 is available in both sub and dub. What can you post about? Anything relating to the manga or anime, such as fanart (if it contains spoilers then put it in a spoiler tag), links to the osts, fan theories (use the spoiler tag for manga spoilers) but the theories must be logical and not ridiculous like 'Izuku Midoriya is a time traveller! Don't post the same theory as someone else in the thread has... Anime only watchers don't need to place things inside of spoiler tags as manga readers already know, but of course manga only readers must place thoughts on new chapters in spoiler tags. The new OVA will be shown at Jump Festa, here's the teaser. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dSaeGNmauc Anyway, lets all have a good time and make some great memories discussing this amazing series! I can't wait to see what Horikoshi has for us in the future https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LTVHSTh_l0 Edited October 21, 2016 by Barry Bacon Allen 2 DarylTrect and PieLuvah reacted to this

PieLuvah 317 Posted September 13, 2016 I know right? What'd you think of the new chapter? Deku got tricked badly! I think we'll see the others next chapter and hopefully Bakugou OHH are we talking about how that girl from Shiketsu disguised herself as Ochako? I kinda already had a feeling that that wasn't Ochako from the start I mean c'mon if there is a scene where both of them is in that degree of trouble then Ochako will, 110% of the time, shout out "Deku-kun!" xDD Deku knows it too man. Gosh he looked so cool swatting that ball the Shiketsu girl tried to sneak on him. and also that girl from Shiketsu. That girl from Shiketsu tho. She's so cool. and hot. I like her quirk and I love how she's all like "I want to know all there is to know about you." just so she could perfectly pull of her impersonations. I couldn't help but think that what if she encountered Katsuki at some point of the story, turn into Izuku, and call him 'Bakugou' 'Katsuki' or something else that isn't Kacchan and oh man Katsuki will lunge at her outta nowhere and be like "Who the firetruck are you?" ahahaha I don't even know I just really love that Izuku still calls him by that childhood nickname and Katsuki doesn't give a shit about it because he's used to 'firetrucking deku calling him stupid shit.' ahhhhh I wish their relationship would get better soon. Speaking of their relationship have you seen the latest chapter?? yoooo we got the worst duo in action and yooooo Aizawa being all proud, having expectations and stuff and yooooo Kacchan and Deku bringing the class together. How can I forget about Todoroki? aw man, I thought that he would finish earlier but it's cool he's still not used to using his left and right side at the same time after all. but what's with the look Yaorashi shot at Todoroki? Maybe it has something to do with the reason why he didn't enter UA? Because of Todoroki? Todoroki's family maybe? and can we also talk about this sweet sweet image: my boy Bakugou rockin' that blue vest. He looks so goooood. Izuku still can't tie a tie. and Ochako's outfit is just beautiful, especially love those pick fingerless gloves 11/10. of course we can't forget about AIZAWA AND HIS HALF FORMAL HALF firetruck IT I WANT TO STAY HOME ATTIRE. 1 The 13th Kenpachi reacted to this

ANYWAY, CHAPTER 108 IIDA looks like a Gundam character Bakugou is going to find out about All for One/One For All very soon. He's a smart guy! Yuuga Aoyama had a great development in his character-will we get a backstory? The guy in the first page-Shindou looks exactly like DABI of the league of villains. The girl with him looks like the psycho girl from the villain group too. OH and the last page, it says 'Origin of heroes' under the drawing of Deku? Is that area the remains of the hospital where the first hero was born or something? Or perhaps it just means this is where true heroes are born (metaphorical sense)? PieLuvah 317 Posted September 25, 2016 Woo! I apologise for my absence, I've done a crap job of contributing to this. Is that area the remains of the hospital where the first hero was born or something? Or perhaps it just means this is where true heroes are born (metaphorical sense)? Omg yes. I'm so proud of Iida. He's such an awesome class president. I think his costume is really cool I love the design. I think he already put two and two together. I mean right after the trial of battle way back at the beginning of the manga Deku already confessed to Bakugou that his power wasn't his own and it was just given to him. Plus, he knows something is going between All Might and Izuku when he saw Deku crying over All Might's 'You're Next' after his fight with All for One. OMIGOSH BAKUGOU YOU"RE SO CLOSE HURRY UP AND CONFRONT IZUKU ABOUT IT. and also can I point out how Katsuki is the ONLY person Izuku told about his quirk to? mmmm I can already smell the upcomming development between these two and it smells so goooooooood. I can't wait. I was so excited when Katsuki said what he said at the last chapter ahhhh. Finally. Finally we get some Aoyama action and boy was it good. aw man I knew that his laser would call the attention of the rest of his classmates when he shot it in the air like that and hhnnngggggg CLASS A on full assault. just yes. much yes. It was really cool to know how Aoyama feels with the rest of the class. So hype to see those old people strut their stuff at the 2nd phase of the exam but I wonder what their role is gonna be. Would they be perhaps the ones that are to be rescued or will they be the ones to cause trouble while the students rescue someone else. Maybe they'd be the ones being rescued but are gonna be like "I DON"T NEED NO HELP NOW GIT!" hahaha then the students would be like "SIR PLS MY LICENSE IS ON THE LINE HERE." well we'll see. I think 'Origin of heroes' might be pertaining to how these old people are retired heroes and that they were the ones who really started the whole hero thing or something maybe we'll get to see some old timers beat the shit out of them young whippersnappers and then be like so you really think a hero is just about blah blah blah? well back in my daaaaay. But that's just a guess. I can't wait for the next update. 1 The 13th Kenpachi reacted to this

The second phase seems quite promising but I found this chapter kind of boring . Do you mean 109? well phase 2 of the exam just started I'm sure it will pick up in the next chapters. but hey could you imagine Bakugou rescuing people? "What is the firetrucking problem?!" "Where the firetruck does it hurt?!" "I'm gonna rescue you shits!!" that's something to look forward to. 1 The 13th Kenpachi reacted to this
The 13th Kenpachi 4,279 Posted October 6, 2016 (edited) Chapter 110 is now out! So... Inasa's quirk is the ability to manipulate wind? If so, then that is the 5th elemental quirk that we've seen. Enji Todorki or Endeavor has Hell Flame and his son Todoroki has Half Hot Half Cold, Kaminari has Electrification and Kouta Izumi has water creation. Ryuuko Tsuchikawa of the pussycats has Earth flow, which was seen in chapter 70. That makes wind, ice, water, earth, fire*2 and electricity. We have seen all the elemental quirks besides light and darkness (if they really count as 'elemental'). There is no nature or grass quirk yet however. Inasa has incredible precision, he can adjust the intensity of each gust of wind he forms. His alias is known as 'Gale'. It's also good to note that Inasa is a year younger than everyone else. Gang Orca has returned! He seems to have survived the collapse of the warehouse during the Midnight Raid arc, and is acting as a 'villain' in this scenario. This phase didn't really need an enemy, but the ante has been upped. I hope the focus doesn't shift towards defeating him completely and the aspect of rescuing people is not just thrown to one side. Next Chapter: Gang Orca quirk reveal Students vs Gang Orca's soldiers Rest of the conversation between Shishikura and that other man. Chapter 111 IS OUT Alright, so we got Gang Orca's quirk and this exam is finally picking up! Gang Orca has the ability to be killer whale even on land! This probably implies that he has the strength of a killer whale which is awesome, he can project sound waves out very loudly and his minions can shoot cement! Inasa has a history with Endeavor, he got snubbed by Endeavor and so he has a grudge against the Todoroki family! Whilst Inasa was arguing with Todoroki, Midoriya swoops in and saves Shindou from certain death How did he fly like that? Did he use the speed of the explosion to propel himself or was he using his legs? In the final page his skin is red, it goes like that when he starts using All for One so maybe he is using it to lift Shindou since he wouldn't be able to otherwise? It has also been revealed that the exam was meant to test teamwork so that the Hero Association can create strong groups rather than just 1 hero that they can depend on at all times. Endeavor seems very arrogant, he's probably salty about being second place to All Might! Endeavor seems very arrogant, he's probably salty about being second place to All Might! I'm so sorry for my absence these past few days uni got really busy all of a sudden. Anyway... Yeeep Inasa has a wind quirk and he's quite reckless when he's using it, well it might appear that way but it turns out that he has great control over his power! but still in rescue situations like this such reckless actions should be avoided as it would cause distress to the civilians being rescued. His actions showed his inexperience and lack of training and man I really liked that. Would you count Tokoyami's quirk, dark shadow, as a darkness type quirk? because we have seen dark shadow grow weaker and smaller against light/bright attacks and we've seen him turn to a monster during the school trip arc. We've also seen Tokoyami struggle with keeping dark shadow at bay during that time since dark shadow grows more ferocious when it's night to the point where it can take over our edge lord Tokoyami. How about Hagakure's quirk? from what we've seen at recent chapters she used her light refraction to temporarily blind the opposing students. What if Hagakure's quirk is light-based and her invisibility is a side effect of it?? and oh my gosh how did I forget to point that out in my earlier replies?! I have to be more attentive here. YEEEE oh man when I first saw that killer whale at the warehouse where all those nomus where at I was so dying to know who he was. When I first saw him I was like "wait is that a killer whale on his back?" and nope that isn't a killer whale on his back he IS the killer whale on his back ahaha also Gang Orca ain't a pushover! too bad for Shindou. honestly, when gang orca showed up in his suit with his subordinates it looked liked the mafia crashed the party. I'm getting some mafia boss vibes from gang orca, he truly earned the #3 spot in heroes who look most like villains ranking. OOOHHHH I was right! My guess was right when I said that Inasa didn't enter U.A because of Todoroki! and Todoroki's family *cough* Endeavor *cough* Man Endeavor is so obsessed with his goal to surpass all might he is so blinded I get why Inasa feels that way about the #2 hero. The gap between him and All Might is too big and it's too big because of his cold attitude caused by his obsession to beat the #1 hero. I guess since Endeavor is so 'hot' you can't really expect him to keep his 'cool' *ba dum tss* oh that was so bad. I'll let myself out. How to trigger Endeavor: compare him to All Might. and ohh. OOHHH. TODOROKI IN HIS MIDDLE SCHOOL UNIFORM. We got a glimpse of him in his uniform when Inasa went to U.A's entrance exam and boy does he look good in it. dat boi looks good in anything. I feel for Inasa man. I really do. It's tough to meet the person you really admire and they completely shove you aside. He had a similar experience with Todoroki and that established his sour opinion of him. Well, that explains why he didn't enter U.A. but Todoroki has changed since that time however he's clearly still affected when someone associates him with his father. How to trigger Todoroki: compare him to his father. While Todoroki and Inasa struggled to get their shit together Shindou get caught in the crossfire and Deku, the voice of reason, swoops in to save the Shindou in distress. Todo and Ina might have gotten their points docked because of that. Uh-huh Deku did use his quirk on his legs you can see the little 'zzzttts' design surrounding it, I don't know how to describe it uhhh.. It kinda looks like electricity crackling whenever he activates OfA. It's great to see the reasoning behind the tests in the license exam. and yes Endeavor is extremely salty. Oh btw who do you guys think the traitor is? the only ones who knew about the school trip were the teachers, the pussycats, and the students at 1-A and 1-B (chapter 83) I really wanna know who you think it is. 1 The 13th Kenpachi reacted to this

Todoroki is starting to annoy me, he needs to get his shit together and stop being so triggered all the time. He may be the strongest in the class but he's not ready to be a hero. The others were doing the mission-saving people whilst Todoroki was fighting Gang Orca and getting triggered over nothing, he should have been saving people. Inasa is salty because he got ignored by 2 people he never knew personally smh... That whole argument was just pathetic really Gang Orca needs to show off more of his physical strength and we need to see Bakugou next chapter. I think the traitor is either Kaminari Denki or the headmaster of UA. Anyway, this is the 2nd and final stage of the exam which is super disappointing but I have a few thoughts This isn't actually the final stage, those who pass the 2nd round are actually sent to a 3rd round in secret. No one from UA will pass the second stage which will give them all a bit of a reality check. Also, I have no clue where the story will go after this which is a good thing in a way. Perhaps if they dp pass they might get assigned jobs or tasks-like in Naruto where they get assigned ninja missions. Let me elaborate, this series can't just be training arcs and villain invasions otherwise it's going to get really stale, we've already seen a ton of training chapters and festivals and tournaments to test the characters, and we've had 2 real arcs involving villains. Kohei needs to come up with a fresh idea for an arc otherwise this is going to go downhill, so why not do what Naruto did? He's been taking inspiration from Naruto for a good majority of the manga so as long as he doesn't copy and paste an entire arc then he can keep going. Chapter 112 is out!! and boy was it a short chapter :'D Yeah Todoroki has to get his shit together. Todoroki and the other students were chilling back at the waterfront doing whatever it was they were doing (probs trying to look for people to rescue) when gang orca attacked, I guess he just took the initiative to intercept the threat that appeared which was all fine by me but Inasa also had the same idea and mmmmm shit happened. I can understand why Todoroki can't get over his hatred towards his father just yet but he has to learn to keep it under control so what happened here doesn't happen again. Todoroki pls. Well we get to see more of Inasa's character in the recent update and more of his past with Todoroki. he was trying to befriend him despite his initial opinion of the other but nope todoroki was a snobbish brat back then. and yeeee gang orca's so strong I hope we get to see more of his quirk aside from sound waves though. and yes- -I NEED BAKUGOU!! WHERE'S MY BOY AT??? I NEED HIM!!! It's always the headmaster dun dun duuuuuuun~ I've read about theories saying Kaminari is the traitor in U.A . but I personally think it's Hagakure. That could happen. I would probably rage if it did though but I'll accept it eventually. I mean after this I wouldn't mind seeing the villain's perspective. Shigaraki was also heavily affected by his mentor's defeat and capture . So what has he been up to since then? I'll continue my reply for this later because right now I gotta go to class brb. Shigaraki was also heavily affected by his mentor's defeat and capture . So what has he been up to since then? I'll continue my reply for this later because right now I gotta go to class brb. Well, I have bought a Weekly Shounen Jump Subscription! But to keep the flow of the thread going I'll still chat with you Shindou is a beast, them earthquakes though!!!!! Gang Orca should have a burn mark next chapter but nothing serious We all saw the combined fire and wind attack coming from a mile away Izuku is putting his legs to work I don't like this Todoroki and Inasa thing, it seems forced and it's not doing anything for me. I don't care about it at all. I hope 16 doesn't become the standard for every chapter otherwise we'll be having pacing issues. Exam should end by the end of November, this is getting tedious now Here's something I thought of! At the end of every arc, we shall give it a rating and just a small review. So at the end of this arc we'll do that . UPDATE- The storyboard for season 2 has leaked, unfortunately there has been a huge DDOS attack causing Twitter to not work. So until then, here's this tiny tiny image. You can't see much, so I doubt you could be spoilered. Wheyy! The full tweet by YonkouProductions says My Hero Academia Season 2 Storyboards Sneak Peek + OVA Preview + 2017 Anime Calendar. This is where knowing someone who can read Japanese would come in handy https://twitter.com/YonkouProd/status/789435202619609089 Oh and here is the cover for volume 2 of My Hero Academia SMASH. Which is a spin off comedy manga with chibi characters. UPDATE The cover for volume 11 has been released!! I'll put it in a spoiler because it does seem quite spoilery It looks incredible though, it seems to be the United States Of Smash attack! This volume contains arguably the best fight in the series so far, All Might vs All For One!! Anyway!!! Chapter 113 Is Out! WOAH. Okay, that just stopped all of a sudden. I've got a lot of thoughts on this, now that the arc is over I need to go back and read it all again at once to see how it flows. But for now here are my thoughts. The pacing felt a bit off, I thought the arc wouldn't be done until January 2017 but thinking about it now, that seems like way too long. Anyhow, it ended quite abruptly. We should have had at least 1 more chapter. IZUKU is a badass, he just ran in there and went for it, sadly his efforts got cut short, but he deserved his license. He protected the citizens, kept his cool and was the one of the only participants to try even attempt to stop Gang Orca besides Todoroki and Inasa (who failed...). Most exams in shounen end up letting the protagonist past just because they are the protagonist, but here it felt like he deserved to pass. OUR BOY MINETA PASSED XDDD The artwork on the first page where we saw Inasa and Shouto's faces-BRILLIANT art, I love the shading and the looks on their faces!! NEW ARC INCOMING! I always get hyped for new arcs ! This thread is literally becoming me by myself A new interview with Horikoshi san is out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gnzde1hjqw Happy Halloween from Horikoshi san! I think the two on the left are from Alien vs Predator. Still no one... Chapter 114 is out very early this week. I CALLED THIS (SEE SPOILER) The hierarchy has crumbled AND DIDN'T I CALL THIS?? Woo! I apologise for my absence, I've done a crap job of contributing to this. So Toga can turn into any hero as long as she takes their blood? Did the girl she was impersonating get killed by her? Oh and on the final page who is the masked dude? Toga is phoning him. The villains really are at the bottom of the barrel, Shigariki is living in some sewer with a bunch of pipes. I respect Inasa more for apologising first and I like Todoroki's little development. Inasa doesn't seem like such a bad guy after all. Bakugou failed but I'm glad he did anyway. And of course they can retake the exam MINETA is the best character, f TODOROKI. THE HIERARCHY HAS CRUMBLED. It's Mineta time. This is like the 7th update without a response......... Here's some character designs for the UA teachers which the MHA website released. Midnight Cementos Snipe Ectoplasm Shuiesha also released this video to celebrate the release of volume 11, this contains spoilers for the manga's 11th volume Here we go again, another UPDATE Kohei Horikoshi will make his first public appearance at this year's Jump Festa! xDD http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2016/11/07/my-hero-academia-manga-author-to-make-first-public-appearance-at-jump-festa-2017 He will be joined by the Japanese voice actors for Bakugou and Deku. He said this "I have thought this is a kind of job I don't need to appear before public. But I have decided (to join) because I received advice from great people that I should. I will try not to bother the voice actors." During his first interview (which you can find on youtube) he wore a gas mask but Crunchyroll says he's expected to show his face. Update Here's some villain designs that Horikoshi did for the new game-My Hero Academia Clash Heroes Battle Edited November 12, 2016 by Barry Bacon Allen

The 13th Kenpachi 4,279 Posted February 12, 2017 (edited) Well it has been a LONG time xDD. As for recent events Loved the conclusion of the PL exam arc and Mineta talking about that hierarchy was one of the best moments in the series. Anyhow, Mirio Togata has to be the traitor . He's way too nice for his own good. The introduction of the strongest three students is very interesting because Izuku now has even more rivals and people to surpass. We were kept in the dark about the other students for way too long! Edited February 12, 2017 by The 13th Kenpachi
The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted March 21, 2017 My Hero Academia is definitely an entertaining watch! I loved the first Season, and I can't wait for Season 2! The animation, story and voice acting were top notch, and I especially loved Christopher Sabat as All Might! Hello, ladies and gentlemen, I hope that all of you are doing okay! So then, My Hero Academia is an amazing anime series I saw not too long ago, and I loved it, as it offered an intriguing story and memorable characters, a great dub, and an alluring art style! Now, we know Season 2 has been announced, and here's some more good news! Glorious, simply glorious! I won't have to wait forever for the Dub, because it'll already be there for us! I think Space Dandy performed in a similar manner! 1 Dio Brando reacted to this
Emrys 3,192 Posted March 21, 2017 (edited) Yeah they said the same thing About Akiba strip and for 2 episodes funimation did release at the same time as the sub but then they took a week off and now the shows dub is a few weeks behind. But given the success of My Hero Academia they might have a higher priority on this. I personally loved the show. Firaga 5,947 Posted April 17, 2017 Well, since this is one of, like, two other current running anime that's airing that I manage to keep up with, might as well lend my voice here. Originally, I was introduced to the series when I was told to check out the manga. I ended up reading the first volume, but after that, I started the first season of the anime and decided that it would be easier for me to stick with that. No offense to the manga but it's just easier to consume a weekly anime series than it is catching up with a 100+ chapter manga. I already have enough on my plate both anime/manga wise anyway so it's best to keep the load light. Anyways: the first season was a good start. I wasn't really on board as everybody else, although I think that's just an effect of being introduced to the series solely through the anime (sans what I already read in manga volume 1) while everybody else who's already a hardcore fan is pissing themselves just over the fact that things are being animated. Still, I liked what I saw, but I wouldn't say I loved it. The set-up as a whole isn't very complex, at least not as far as I'm seeing. It's a typical underdog story with a milquetoast protagonist with allies and rivals and mentors and villains and superpowers and overcoming obstacles and all that schtick. And all the basic morals and conflicts (again, so far, don't start giving me manga spoilers, I'm anime-only) are there and are played really serious and cheesy for the most part, though I suspect that's part of the superhero gimmick, which I do enjoy to a certain extent regardless. I am a fan of Marvel, DC, and other superhero properties after all. Now, as I mentioned, I started the second season, so now I'll dive into spoiler territory and discuss some overall thoughts on the first three episodes: Well, it's a tournament arc alright. Kinda feels too soon for a tournament arc really, at least if its going to focus a lot on the heroes-in-training aside from Izuku. Honestly, a lot of Izuku's classmates don't really feel like they're a major presence yet, sans Katsuki, Ochaco and Tenya for obvious reasons. Designated rivals/friends always get a pass. But yeah, there's a lot of classmates with their own different quirks (in more ways that one, ha), but they just feel like background space. They're still pretty entertaining and fun to be around though (Especially Minoru ) Tsuyu I also give a pass given what she showed off last season and also Shoto because it's obvious that he's getting a lot of attention. Maybe I'm nitpicking here, but it just feels like the narrative is building up these kids to be bigger than they really are. I mean, I like that they have cool powers and all, but I need a little more than that. Some motivation, some backstory, or at least hints of that to at least spark a little interest like in how Shoto has been handled so far. And I really don't want this to come off as a criticism either, but there's nothing really wrong with any of this so far, it's just an observation I had. That being said: with the way things are progressing, Izuku himself is doing just fine, especially which how he maneuvered himself through the obstacle course this week. That was really cool. Too bad he's public enemy number one now though. I'm really interested to see how these kids do in combat with one another, although based on what people have said (thanks for the spoilers btw -_-), the calvary course won't be about combat, but it still makes me wonder what will go down. Also, a big strength that I recognized for the latter half of the first season was the villains that showed up. They're all far more interesting than the kids. I know it's not fair to compare them because they're still learning but come on, that Tomura guy was whacked out dude, I loved it. So for that reason, I'm paying close attention to that shadowy creep that popped up at the end of season 1 and made a cameo again this week. 1 The 13th Kenpachi reacted to this

The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted April 17, 2017 You know, I really need to get to watching Season 2 of this amazing anime! When my internet gets fixed, I'll need to catch myself up to speed!
Firaga 5,947 Posted April 28, 2017 I'm really late but I just got to see Episode 4. Or Episode 17 depending on whether we're dividing by seasons or not. Either way: There were a lot of fun things packed into this week's installment. My favorite of which was seeing Izuku pick Fumikage for his team. I get a kick out of those kinds of powers that involve supernatural entities that you can control with your body. Reminds me of Xehanort's Guardian. I don't really have much to say other than I enjoyed it because it was basically just another showcase of the powers the characters can do as well as a few bits of characterization here and there. My overall excitement is still saved for if there will be an actual fighting exhibition we'll get to see later on because although these games are proving to be good exercises in them showing those abilities, combat is their main prime objective as heroes in most situations so it will be interesting to see how they handle that. The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted May 14, 2017 Duuude, this Sports Festival Tournament Arc has been frackin badass! I'm caught up to the show right now, and I'm gonna watch the next Episode later on during the night! I am really loving how this show is being progressed! The characters are amazing and varied, and their quirks are unique and fun to watch in action! The animation is insane, and the voice acting is sooo good! I particularly love Christopher Sabat as All Might! Dude is so powerful every time he speaks! But yes, this current arc has been awesome, and I can't wait to see how it all boils down in the end! Oh, and I especially loved a particular moment with Todoroki! I'm not gonna spoil! Those who've watched the anime probably know what I'm talking about! I'm talking about his tragic backstory! So epic and sad! D:
Firaga 5,947 Posted May 18, 2017 Musings on the latest episode since I finally got to it: Shinso's power is pretty cool, but I have to admit that I found his mini-flashback/background reveal a little weak sauce. I mean, it's a little unfair given that we have backstories for Izuku, Ochaco, and especially Shoto to compare and contrast with, but I just didn't really get into it. Shinso feels so standoffish to a point where he's not really entertaining and combining that with the weight of his own personal issues being honestly not that engaging or even that relatable in the slightest... eh. Maybe he'll get better, but as of right now, he's probably my least favorite character. On a similar note: even though Ojiro had a fairly important role in this episode, I can't get into him either. His design and powers are just too weird for me. I'm interested to see how the other Round 1 fights go down, especially Katsuki vs. Ochaco. 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
