KHUX [SPOILERS] THEORY EXPLANATION ABOUT KHX ENDING

HELLO! First this is a long script, but it´s interesting I promise! As the title says this might contain spoilers so do not continue below this line if you don´t want to find out about what happened.

 

From what we saw in the Special Episode and Final Episode in KHX, I understand the follwing:

- Kingdom Hearts X (chi) is within a dream (Nightmare Chirithy kinda confirmed it).

- KH Unchained X is also within a dream (Chirithy is there in the Enchanted Dominion when player wakes up so...)

- Player is now in a current timelapse (hence Maleficent talking about Sora and co.)

- The Keyblade War happened during a dream (Not sure if the real one).

 

NOW, this has just one explanation to me. Let´s consider Yen Sid´s explanation about the Realm of Dreams in DDD as well as other factors:

 

The worlds within a dream seem to be alive and real, but in reality, they are sound asleep. Trapped within a never ending dream, that essentially is repeating the story over and over and over again. This doesn´t stop for a person to go into the RoS and it´s worlds and meddle with the characters and stuff (hence DDD´s Sora and Riku´s storylines in each world and how some of them seemed different like when Judge Frollo dies differently in La Cite des Cloches).

Also let´s notice how Riku was acting as a Dream Eeater in "a dream of a dream" as Ansem reveals in DDD, "a two folded nightmare". This means that you can go in a Dream within a Dream...

 

Let´s talk about Maleficent now. She seems to be the ACTUAL Maleficent from the Real World but got access to the RoS somehow. If that´s true she entered the dream world where the Book of Prophecies is creating the holograms of the upcoming worlds, but not the ACTUAL Enchanted Dominion (since that was not a sleeping world and the Player would not be able to be there since for his Dream time that world didn´t exist, all the worlds he can visit are the projections of the BoP). Maleficent though might think she is in the ACTUAL sleeping world.

She mentions Sora and Co. can meddle on "that world". 

 

This might be because she delved into the RoS through herself sleeping to get there but Sora and Co. would be unable to enter HER DREAMS to stop her. Also they might not even know she is doing this. How would she enter the RoS? Does she have a special power to do so? Indeed she DOES. She tells Terra in BBS, "I have power over Sleep"... it might be naturally easy for her to go into this realm, although she might have not known about it for a while. 

 

Another way to go through this is that she might have actually ended up in the RoS when she was defeated by Sora in KH instead of "totally dying". When she was brought back in KHII she might have "temporarily forgot" about her Dream experience (remember a Dream can´t be easily remembered once you wake up), remembering everything until Re:Coded where the similarities of the Journal reminded her of the BoP and her experience on the RoS (This is more likely to me).

 

NOW, this point in time is clearly presented AFTER the first KH but BEFORE Re:Coded. Why? Simple. It has to be after the first KH since she mentions Sora, who she met in that time events. It´s before Re:Coded since it was until the cinematics in 2.5 that she was reminded of the BoP because of Jiminy´s Journal Data World. She knew about the book and all BECAUSE of what´s going to happen later in Unchained X. Probably she thinks she is in the Enchanted Dominion Sleeping World, but she later finds herself truly in Daybreak Town. She starts investigating and finds out about the BoP and we as the Player will probably stop her from getting it. Since she couldn´t do it (thinking that Sora couldn´t stop her) but was stopped by the Player she returned to the Real World to think of another plan or was revived whatever the case (hence the events in KH2 and Re:Coded until she remembered). 

 

Some are saying that she Time Traveled like Xehanort but I don´t think this can be possible due to Maleficent not existing yet at that Time Period so I would discard this.

Others are saying she did manage to get the BoP and got into it´s world, which might be actually true too but, FOR ME, there is no proof leading to that. Also how would Chirithy be there if he is a DE Spirit. This is the major indication that they have to be in a Dream, which is most likely.

 

Considering this facts, it might explain how the KHX realm might be happening in a Dream that was being happening within the Dream of the KH Unchained X realm. When the player woke up he did it in the Unchained X realm. Chirithy was with him but had no memories or seemed to know anything about what happened, this since the Player was the only one within his dreams. How would Chirithy be inside the KHX Realm then if he was actually sleeping alongside the Player within the Unchained X realm? Well, simple. Same as with Jiminy and Pinocchio in DDD, the world was restoring what seemed missing. And what about the Nightmare Chirithy then? He wanted to "severe" a bond... with his Player I would imagine... and then he said they would be meeting again in "another dream". Maybe this particular Nightmare wasn´t a replacement of the world in the KHX dream realm but rather the actual Nightmare trying to take advantage of the Player´s sleep thus delving into his Dream and trying to reach his natural goal as a Nightmare. Since he couldn´t do it he banished "for now" to plan further away and try to severe the bond even further in the actual Unchained X Realm.

 

Now the missing plot points are these:

 

- The player´s dream in KHX about the Keyblade War could be a premonition for an event yet to happen in the Unchained X realm? (This has happened before at least twice for the player).

- What happened, or will happen to the Foretellers after the Keyblade War? (Wheter my theory is right or not we didn´t see this much... much likely this will be explained in KHXBC)

- Is Skuld truly a Goddess? Could she be KH as a physical form? Or maybe just be like a goddess guardian of the Kingdom of Hearts?

- Were Ephemer and Skuld really there after the KW or the Player just dreamt about them being at the end of the Keyblade War but is yet to happen? (considering the theory above).

- How did Maleficent access the Realm of Sleep? (I theorized about it above but there is no proof).

- Why Ava joined the final battle when she was trying to avoid it? (Again might be explained in KHXBC).

- LUXU: Who, what, where, why? This guy is the one who has the more question marks as of now. Nothing was truly revealed about him. We will surely get more answers in KH Unchained X when the stroy progresses.

- Maleficent mentions a "HE". She says: "Where could HE have gone to?" Who is she talking about? Pete? The Player?(I brought up this since maybe the Player slept during one of his missions and he already meddled with Maleficent?).

- What other worlds will we see in the game? No idea.

- Did the Keyblade War TRULY happened? Did it just happen in the RoS during a dream? IF SO, how did the Darkness managed to get out and start terrorizing the worlds? AGAIN I think for this one is safe to assume that Unchained X is developed during a Dream Loop as any world in the RoS. It´s just retelling over and over what happened during that actual time.

Well the Keyblade War did happen or we wouldn't be able to visit the Keyblade Graveyard in BbS. That's the only thing I can confirm, but as for everything else, I won't know what to speculate or say until I know what the Unchained Realm is precisely.

So it's like this, the Unchaind X realm is a dream of the events there happened in the ancient past and the KHx realm is a dream the player have of the Unchained X realm, just like Riku being inside Sora's dream of the Sleeping worlds? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes. That´s how I see it. Just like Riku could enter in a Dream Within a Dream in DDD. The KHX Realm could be happening in a Dream inside the Unchained X Realm which is also a Dream.

1.- This is first time they actually mention a god/goddess in the series, so I think I'm going to stick with skuld being directly related with kingdom hearts

 

2.-Is dark chirithy the anti black coat? I want to think it is, because If it is then I'm gonna enjoy soooooooo much the battle with him, If it appears again in KHIII

Erm, the whole goddess theory is irrelevant because "goddess" is just what anime characters say when they think they're dead. Example, Zack called Aerith an angel after he fell into the church in Crisis Core, by he says I'm I in heaven in the JP version.
