- Aura - Near Mystran encampment - With Helios -

Aura felt tired for some unknown reason, she had felt strange since the time she woke up. First the amount of food she had eated was way more than she actually had before, she could listen and see better than before, she could smell scents in the wind. What was happening to her, she wondered. And yet the warm rays of the sun let her drift away into slumber.

----------------------------

It was another peaceful day in the town of Daenonia. Mother had said that it was almost time to harvest the crops, a couple of weeks at most. Since it was a calm day Aura had asked her big brother to read her a story, he was always reading those books in his spare time, so she was sure that he would agree, and agree he did.

Under the shade of a tree Aurion began to tell the tale of the ancient creatures known as the Great Drakes, how they were created by the gods to watch over the world and the other creatures that lived in the world. Aura never really understood why Aurion loved to read about such creatures, they sounded scary! the other girls from town also told stories about how dragons kidnapped girls and took them to their towers. One time Aurion told her a very interesting story, one related to one of his favorite legends. The story of one of the first Great Drakes, of a dragoness called, well, he always made some weird sounds, but then he said that her name translated to Valdra.

The story spoke of how Valdra had her first hatchling, who she loved beyond any spoken word. Happy were the moments she had with her small one, until one fateful day. Humans, the youngest of the gods's creations thought that slaying a dragon would bring them fame and fortune, such was the tale told among the young race. A human male waited until Valdra wasn't around and he took the life of  the hatchling without hesitation, bringing back his small horns and a small fortune in gold and jewels as a trophy for everyone to see, all of it so the heart of a young maiden could be his.

Aurion told her that Valdra was so heartbroken for the loss of her little one that in revenge, on one moonless night, she took human form and made her way into the room of the young maiden while she slept. With her control over magic she transformed the maiden into one of her own, and when the new dragoness woke up and destroyed her room on her confusion, her beloved saw no girl, but a dragon who had destroyed their home. The dragoness tried to explain who she was, but humans were not able to understand the tongue of the dragons, as she fleed, the young man swore that he would find the dragon and take its life, just like it had taken the life of her love.

Through many months of travel, the Dragoness met with a young wizard who helped her reach the Northern mountains were the dragons were said to live. As they were close to their destination the man finally caught up with the dragoness and the young wizard, she was injured, but in the end managed to reach the council of the ancient ones, thanks to the help of the wizard, but the injuries were severe and just as the man was going to give the last strike, the dragoness returned to her human form. The man, who was ashamed of his actions, saw another dragoness approaching, the familiar sight of Valdra. For the first time in history the Dragoness spoke in the tongue of the humans.

"You took my most precious treasure, and now, by your own hand, that what you wished was yours has been taken away."

The human apologized for what he had done to her, and pleaded for help for the young maiden. Valdra had already healed the maiden, and she was horrified by what she heard. The man, ashamed of his acts, accepted whatever punishment he was going to recieve. Valdra used her fire breath to engulf the human, and by arcane means, the man transformed into her small one, her most precious treasure. Valdra, in her mercy, forgave the maiden and the wizard, she even apologized by her actions, but the maiden thanked her because she learned of her love's true colours, and, in turn, had found a real partner in the wizard.

The Dragons saw the greed of humans and chose to leave the land, others choose to remain close, but never to interact with humans, unless absolutely necessary. By Valdra and the Council's arcane powers the land of the North was said to have raisen into the sky, never to be seen by humans again.

Aura had gained a sudden respect for dragons that day. Maybe they weren't that bad, but it also made her think about the stories of the princesses that were kidnapped by dragons. Aurion always smiled and told her that dragons were no longer around, not since a long, long time ago, and only stories of such creature remained. The sun was already going down and Mother called both siblings for supper. Aura took her brother's hand and both began the trek back home.

------------------------------

Aura was woken up by the rays of sunlight in her face. The faint sound of rustling of leaves and the wind made her feel relaxed. She looked at Helios and smiled, he looked so peaceful in his sleep, which was a good thing in her eyes. Aura closed her eyes once again and allowed sleep take her, there was still time left, after all. Maybe, just maybe, she would dream of better times with her brother and mother.

- Lord Raiden, Mystran encampment -

Raiden had to marvel how this spread of individuals were able to obtain all of this knowledge, but he could not argue with results, nor with their logic.  Such incriminating hearsay and audible evidence made Yevgeni seem like a viable suspect, and he pursed his lips and stroked his chin in suspicion.  However, would the man he once knew as Yevgeni have been able to mastermind all of this and not be weighted by the knowledge of creating and afterwards living with such traitorous actions?  People change, and millennia would be a greater cause for change than centuries, decades, and years.

"I can only peg Yevgeni as a suspicious individual, if that is the case," he admitted aloud to the crowd, eyeing every one of them with an unreadable expression on his face.  "You have done well, all of you, and now we have a painted picture of the situation at hand, though I will not attempt to confirm my suspicions with the prince unless it is necessary.  Voicing this will only put Yevgeni or Prince Jynn in harm's way before our suspicions are confirmed.  I am certain the death of the queen has brought upon them both some unrest.

"Henry," he next said, glancing in his direction, "if you have the ability to draw the assassin out, please do so and let me know of where he will meet with you, if you can.  I wish to be present to deliver him justice."

He bowed toward the group in the Mystran fashion, and smiled.

"Thank you all again.  Your insight has brought some light to the situation, and I would like to extend an invitation to Hisie and you too, Henry, alongside King Alderon should he agree with meeting the prince.  Once I have accumulated my chosen few, we will send my return letter"--he indicated the owl perched on his arm--"and make our way to a moot with the prince and his chosen few.

"Sifrei, I have a task for you, given your skills and familiarity with the situation.  Should the grounds be unoccupied, find the shattered weapon in the clearing near Lake Kresnik, close to the shoreline and after the forest between it and our encampment.  If occupied, report back to me the descriptions -- or names, if you can -- of those out there, but do not endanger yourself by conversing with them.

"Does this work with everyone here?" he continued in finality, glancing over the others.

- Jari Coriander, Kilkes Seres encampment -

Jari was thankful for Aqua's assistance in helping Elia to her feet, though he paused before he too spoke off colour.  That armour bodyguard did indeed seem like he was insane, especially considering what the clone had said to him beforehand.  He felt a little guilty now, having spoken to Maxis like that, but he spoke from the heart, and that was not worthy of feeling guilty over . . . right?

Elia seemed like she was doing better, however, and quipped about that same day he thought back on where Aqua left in favour of that blond pretty boy, the one who was going to become regent of the land.  Again he said nothing, holding back the desire to interject on either's behalf, and concentrating solely on maintaining Elia's weight distribution, along with his own seventy pounds of lean muscle, bone, and gristle.

{Mariel: Mystras Camp}

Mariel gave Everyth a tired look with her non-answer. She shifted her stance to keep herself mostly facing the fellow bodyguard. Despite her angelic heritage, Mariel felt too old for this crap. Still, she could sympathize with Everyth's predicament.

"Not directly, but the conflict between duty and other desires is well known to me." The Angel answered. "I would recommend you make your decision which is more important before events force the choice on you. If you lack conviction, both could be taken from you. And whatever happens, you still have to live with it."

Mariel glanced back at where Raiden and Sifrei were. Time was passing and she would need to get moving. Everyth referring to herself as a witch brought Mariel back to the conversation. She gave the raven-haired woman a long, cryptic look.

"While I do have to go, I doubt what I will be doing will be considered angelic or holy. Just what needs to be done. Anyone can do that. Especially witches. Good luck in your endeavors and I pray wisdom guides your decision."

Giving a little bow to Everyth in parting, The Guardian Angel in disguise walked up beside Sifrei, nodding to Raiden as she approached.

"Good to hear we have official sanctions." She murmured to the archangel.

- Rabiyu and Sifrei - Mystran Encampment -

Apparently, Henry believed the same thing as Rabiyu regarding the potential threat that Yevgeni could pose, this was a good sign in her eyes, but there was also the fact that he knew of this mysterious assassin. Meeting with both Yevgeni and this assassin was a possibility, one that, at least her, wished to take advantage of.

"It will be my honor to accompany you, Your Lordship," Rabiyu said while bowing slightly, "As for the city, it will remain protected in our absence by your spellcasters, if they follow my instructions. The arcane barrier guarding the city at the moment is strong and it will hold against a great amount of damage, but I hope Kilkis Seres do not try that kind of tactic."

The Archangel gave the Lord of Mystras the same gesture as his elven compatriot, a small bow to signal his understanding of his mission.

"It will be done, Your Lordship. I will try my best to avoid any confrontation with possible soldiers of Kilkis Seres, or anyone suspicious. I will give a report via astral projection when the time comes. I have an understanding of your arcane aura, just like I know that of the Judge Magister, so finding you will be no problem. As I said before, Mariel will be coming with me, but worry not, I will try my best to keep her away from harm's way, if possible."

Sifrei then heard the familiar voice of Mariel and nodded at her comment.

"We have our orders, when you feel ready, we can be on our way towards Lake Kresnik," Sifrei said to Mariel, "Our winged friend is outside, waiting for us."

~Aqua: At the Camp, Kilkis Seres: Talking to Elia and Jari~
Aqua opened her mouth to say something before thinking it over and sighs quietly instead. After a few moments, she finally spoke. “I don’t have anything against you Elia and I don’t know what your history with Yevgeni is, but it’s not fair for you to hold that one choice over me! I just happened to see him and saw a chance to grow better with my magic. I’m sorry if you had a bad history with him, but I don’t and I can’t afford to lose the chance at finally doing something useful. You should understand wanting to be useful, right? Now stop trying to fight with me. You both look worse for wear and you need to be checked out in case you were hurt and didn’t notice! I will literally drag you both to get checked out and I’m not joking!” She finished in a frustrated manner.

Aqua closed her mouth having said everything she wanted to say. Now to see how Elia would react, she just hoped it wouldn’t be too poorly. A slight weight lifted from her shoulders. She had at least made an attempt at mending her friendship with Elia. She sighed once more before adding “I’m sorry that I hurt your feelings it was just important to me for a reason I can’t even fully explain.” She was being truthful maybe even too truthful but she didn’t want to lose her first real friend.

- Henry - The Leading Man - Raiden's tent -

Henry kept quiet as Raiden took everything they had to say, and replied in kind, not wanting to make anything official, probably for the best, as of yet to not endanger Jynn or Yevgeni should the man be innocent, which Henry suspected he wasn't. Henry looked at Raiden as the man glanced his way, asking if he can draw out the assassin. Henry nodded with a small smile.

"I will do what I can, I'l need to get there first..." Henry spoke with a whine at the end but shrugged it off. "I'l get in contact if I manage to get a location set up" Henry spoke, saying his piece and allowing the others to speak as well.

The thought of the archangels going to lake kresnik brought an idea to his mind.

Henry walked towards Sifrei and tapped the angel's shoulder lightly. "Mind if I tag along? That place must still have a bit of the assassin's aura, and that way I can confirm if he is who I think it is..." Henry spoke, soft spoken and directly to Sifrei and Mariel in kind. "Plus'l save me a good chunk of my travel to Kilkis Seres." Henry added. "If there's space for one more that is." Henry added jokingly at the end.

- Maxis - The Mad Armor - Kilkis Seres -

Maxis stood still and silent as Soren and Yevgeni said their pieces, the two were occupied with one another, they were going to speak about something over dinner or some such, didn't matter much for Maxis. He didn't need to eat anyway.

Maxis stood creepily still, staring at both of them, almost as if staring at their very souls, if they were keen, they'd probably feel their spine chilling and their hair standing upright somewhat, Maxis's atmosphere didn't help either.

Glancing at Soren, then at Yevgeni, then at Soren again, and then at Yevgeni again. Maxis simply shrugged, "Eh. Alright, i'l talk to you both later." Maxis spoke, as he simply turned around and walked off, completely shutting down any atmosphere or intensity in the surrounding as he just walked away to kill some time while the two spoke. What'd he do in said killing time? Eh, something.

- Typhon - The Cyph of the North Star - Alongside Jynn -

It didn't take long at all for Typhon to sit himself comfortably on the pegasus's back, "I hope you don't mind me taking a seat as well...I can't fly even if I appear to have wings, I am disappointed at my own physiology sometimes." Typhon snarked at himself as he sat in Mel's back while giving Jynn and Bherma room to sit as well, he wondered if he ate Mel would he be able to fly? questions for another time...and another pegasus since eating Mel would probably upset Jynn quite a bit.

Folding his arms and keeping his balance as Mel glided down the mountain range, he grimaced at the fact he could not enjoy the cool breeze because of his exoskeleton, which was bulkier than usual after his evolution.

"When we get there, are you sure you want me to walk along with you Jynn? I don't want to draw unwanted attention to you and your daughter." Typhon asked Jynn. "Oh...and hi little lady, you might not remember me, but I was that weird bug man who helped your dad out in that fight against that unrealisticaly swole man...so uh...hi." Typhon spoke to Bherna now, in a somewhat awkward tone as he didnt have a lot of experience speaking to children. He just hoped he didn't make a fool of himself.

- Lord Raiden, Mystran encampment -

When Mariel came back into the tent, Raiden let loose a small smile in her direction.  It seemed that she was done with her rounds, and the others seemed to be in agreement with the situation, excepting Henry, who had a curious assurance in a very unique skill-set.

"You are able to read magical auras?" Raiden asked inquisitively, raising an eyebrow with the comment.  "Someday you must tell me how you were able to perform that, though I will allow this should the others have room for another passenger on their . . . winged friend."  He said the last bit with care, not sure if their winged friend was a person or animal.  "I wish you all the quickest and best results, though I feel I must remind to exercise caution with the third-party killer on the loose.  Keep your wits about you, and don't let down your guard.  Losing any of you would be as disastrous as losing my dominant arm.  You are dismissed then, with my blessing."

With that, he headed to the nearest writing surface, a rough wooden plank on legs that mainly served as a bench, and requested some writing supplies from a nearby individual who seemed knowledgeable of where things were.  Some missive paper, a bowl of wax, and a quill with its respective ink well were more than enough, along with a cup of weak berry tea, though Raiden took it all appreciatively.  Shifting the bird to his right arm, he proceeded to scribe a letter.

"Jynn,

It seems you now know the truth, one I once speculated to be a possibility but was, too, revealed to me late.  However, hold no grudges towards your mother for the secrets she carried.  They were a burden few could carry besides herself, and her love for you was genuine.

Your proposed meeting is accepted, and this time with added protection.  Strong, trusted individuals should accompany us to guarantee our well-being, and I will pour every effort I can to find the killer of your mother, my estranged beloved.  I will consult the human king with this meeting.  Additional information will be written upon the calling card I will send with you.  I trust you know how to use their method of two-way communication.

Your trust is not misplaced.  We will begin reparations, and we will find him.  I believe Shiva would rest easy knowing that she has entrusted the kingdom to her son.

       --Your father"

After giving a once-over to his letter, he breathed out a heavy sigh and pulled out his final set of blank calling cards, wrapping one within the paper.  A wax stamp and a press of his signet ring was all that was left before he rolled the paper up and bundled it within the owl's letter pouch.

"You have done well, little messenger," he cooed to the owl, scratching its neck on the way to the tent flaps.  The bird leaned into the gesture affectionately.  "I know not your name, but you have performed a great service to this family and this people.  Fly true to your new master and see to the end of this carnage."

- Rabiyu and Sifrei - Mystran encampment -

Sifrei was a little surprised not by Henry asking if he could travel with Mariel and him, but by his way of talking, it was different, soft spoken. The Archangel looked at Mariel before looking back at Henry.

"I do not have any issue with that, Master Henry. Although, it would be a little uncomfortable if the three of us were to ride our winged friend at the same time," He said to Henry, "Mariel can't fly at the moment, and you are unable to do so by yourself. I suppose you two could ride our friend while I fly next to you. I hope you don't mind, Mariel. If Master Henry here can track this Assassin's aura that would be a huge step towards capturing him. Perhaps we should procure more provisions before we leave, yes? Just in case. Let's prepare for our journey. "

Sifrei looked at Raiden and bowed slightly before looking at Rabiyu and doing the same, then he turned around and went outside the tent. Rabiyu remained behind for a moment, she watched Raiden, he looked different, more tired, but after everything that had happened it was't that surprising. She noticed that Raiden was about to write his response to the Prince.

"I will give you some privacy, Milord. I will be close, if you ever need me just send someone to get me and I will return at your side," Rabiyu said calmly, "Now, if you excuse me."

Rabiyu bowed slightly and, with silent steps, left the tent.

- Sifrei - Mystran encampment, outside Raiden's tent -

To his surprise the griffon was already waiting in front of the tent for them, once she noticed Sifrei she walked towards him. The Archangel scratched her neck a little before looking at his two companions.

"Mariel already met our friend, but you have not. Master Henry, this is Hestia, and she will take both of you to Lake Kresnik," Sifrei said with a smile, "Should you wish to further prepare for the journey, we can delay for a few more minutes, or we can leave at this moment. The choice is yours."

Sifrei watched as Rabiyu left the tent and looked at him, he gave her a small nod which Rabiyu returned before blending into the crowd.

- Rabiyu - Mystran encampment -

Rabiyu wandered for a few minutes around the encampment. She listened to whispers among the people. Some believed in Raiden's words, others were still a little suspicious, yet wanted to believe in the Lord of Mystras. Thinking about it, it was surprising how a simple business journey to Kilkis Seres had quickly changed into a fight for both worlds. Fate was a strange thing, it could take you to places you wouldn't believe. The Elf then looked at the sky and spotted a familiar figure, that of Rufus the djinni. After all those weeks, she kept wondering if it would be possible for her to free him from his prison, but she still thought about the strange Druid's words. She slowly rose from the ground and floated towards the Djinni in the sky.

"Good morning, Rufus, I hope you had a good night's rest," she said with a small smile, "What are you doing all the way up here?"

- Henry - The Leading Man - Mystras Encampment -

To Raiden's surprise, and apparently Sifrei as well, must have been the way he spoke, Henry turned around to face Raiden as the man asked him about his aura reading ability. "Pretty much, I find it pretty easy even." Henry spoke with a smug smile for a second, if Raiden's paid attention he'd notice Henry's eye flickering a bright shade of purple for less than a split second, as he nodded afterwards as Raiden allowed him to accompany the archangels to Lake Kresnik. Henry's heard Sifrei's explanation, that neither Henry nor Mariel could fly, but Sifrei could.

"Thats alright." Henry agreed to his proposition as he thought for a second about the preparations. "If you wish, Im ready whenever you are." Henry explained, he really didn't need much things other than water, which he already had in his posession. He could go say bye to his friends, but they were probably busy with other things and he didn't really want to bother them, plus Aura and Helios were nowhere to be seen.

"Though if you wish to prepare, I can help getting the provisions." He added.

- Alastor - The Storm -  Near Mystrian Encampment. -

Alike the others in the encampment, Alastor was also doing his own things while everyone else prepared, chatted, ate meals and whatnot. Alastor was meditating, in the outskirts, well somewhat, as his peace was disturbed by two individuals speaking to one another, prompting Alastor's curiosity.

He was sitting by a tree as he opened his eyes, and slowly got up, a failed meditation did get him somewhat sore, but nothing that bad, as he walked over to see who else was in the outskirts with him. Maybe it was Arthur coming for an early training session? Likely, but to his surprise it wasn't. He stopped in his tracks as he walked right beside the two who were soundly sleeping. A Human girl by the name of Aura, and the shapeshifting boy by the name of Helios. the two seemed close, if one didn't know them they'd think they were dating, hell, maybe they were as far as Alastor was concerned.

'I'l let them sleep I guess.' Alastor thought as he walked a few meters away from them, sitting down and crossing his legs, and beginning to meditate again. He wasn't going to interrupt the two's bonding sleepover. He'd let them be, unless one of them woke up and spoke to him, then that'd be a different story.

- Maxis's Clone - The Mad Clone - Mystrian Encampment, Raiden's tent -

A few minutes after everyone had left the tent and left Raiden alone to write the message and send it through the messenger owl. As the Owl left, The clone Maxis had made began to appear out of Raiden's shadow, the tent's lightning was somewhat lacking, with few lightsources, allowing him to emerge easily and slowly, just to add insult to injury. With dark particles coming off him.

"How long did it take you to figure out that Jynn was your son? or did Shiva need to tell you that?" The clone spoke in the normal Maxis's voice. Sarcasticaly and mockingly somewhat, as he stood behind Raiden.

"Hi there Raiden, remember me?" Maxis asked him, in the off chance Raiden knew about him, if he remembered him from years back when Maxis protected Shiva relentlessly.

Maxis's aura didn't give off a feeling of pure hostility, nor did it feel calm, it was a perfect middle ground between hostile and friendly. And said atmosphere could go both ways.

- Arthur - The Lightning Knight - Mystras Campground -

The young knight stepped away from the tree and the main camp. "(I should look for sir Alastor.)" Arthur thought. The quicker he trained, the quicker he could learn and master it...and the quicker he could go after Midnea himself if he had to. After asking around the camp, he was told that Alastor would meditate at the outskirts of Mystras, away from the noise. After asking for a general direction, Arthur hurried off in search of him. He traveled into the outskirts, finding comfort at the quiet of it all. "(This is rather nice.)" Arthur thought, smiling as he walked down the trail. Soon among the flora he saw Alastor, meditating. He hurried over, his feet crushing the twigs beneath, making for a less than noisy approach. "Um...sir Alastor?" Arthur asked, keeping a distance away from him. "I...hope I'm not interrupting. I...I was just wondering if there is any training that I could do currently, to prepare myself for tonight?" Arthur asked, resting his body against a nearby tree. To do nothing was usually a good thing for him, but do to the circumstances...it felt odd to not do something and use the time wisely.

- Helios - The Shapeshifter - /w Aura - Napping nearby the Mystras Camp -

Helios perked his head at the sound of movement and talking. He stirred in his sleep, stretching awake as he proceeded to roll around until he was laying on his stomach. "(Those aren't animals.)" Helios thought, perking his head up as he brushed some of the leaves from his hair. He listened as he pushed himself up, getting on all fours as he carefully made his way towards the noise, climbing up one of the trees for a better view of the source. Alastor and Arthur. Alastor seemed to be meditating, while Arthur asked some advice in training. To that word, he was quick to make his presence known. "If you're going to train destructively, do it in the open fields." Helios said, startling Arthur. "When did you get here?!" "I've been here." Helios said as he casually sat on the branch. "I repeat. If the training is destructive, I ask that you do it in the open fields...the animals are in mourning. They don't need someone knocking trees down and around...please." Helios asked. If they were going to make noise, then he would go ahead and move Aura to a more peaceful place further in.

- Aura - Near Mystras Camp -

Aura could hear the sound of footsteps coming to their direction, they were faint, but she could make out the sound of metal. Greaves, perhaps? Then another voice, a voice she had heard around the villa a couple of times. Then came Helios's voice too.

"I think that naptime is over by this point," Aura said without opening her eyes, "Well, it was nice, while it lasted."

The young human woman yawned and opened her eyes to see the two who had disturbed their sleep. She recognized one as Alastor, if only thanks to Rabiyu. The other one, she didn't really remembered the name, but she knew that she had seen him around.

"A question. What was that about training?" she asked as she got up and dusted herself off.

- Alastor - Grumpy Lightning - Near Mystras -

Alastor had jinxed it, Arthur came soon after he had just started meditating, stopping his meditation before it even got into the ten minute mark, much to his dismay. That and Arthur woke up the lovebirds as well, as both parties spoke Alastor looked at them with a frown.

Alastor was almost saying magic training to Arthur, but he considered not to in case the boy wished to hide the fact he was part fey to the others, to which Alastor sighed as he walked up to them. First, looking at Helios, "If you insist, we won't harm the trees, that and Raiden would nag me to no end if I did." Alastor explained to Helios, reasurring the boy they wouldn't harm the nature, at least the trees wouldn't be harmed, as he then looked at Aura and Arthur. The girl seemed eager and curious about the training, which complicated things.

"Arthur...here." Alastor spoke, gesturing his hand to Arthur as he spoke to Aura. "Has asked me for swordsmanship training, as well as voicing his curiosity about magic later on. Which is why I am here." Alastor explained.

"You two can watch if you wish, Im not a guard to stop people from going where they want." Alastor finished, his voice serious and direct.

Jynn Venas & Bherna-En route to Kilkes Seres with Typhon

Typhon managed to climb aboard Mel's back before he took off. He asks if it was any trouble if he could hop aboard. Jynn shakes his head. "Not at all. But hang on tight." Mel takes a quick look at Typhon to see what he was doing. Unbeknownst to Jynn, Typhon was thinking about what would happen if he ate the horse. But Mel was able to see it in the bug man's eyes. In response, Mel pins his ears and let's out a threatening growl. He even pulls on the bit to show off his canines (yes, horses do in fact have canines, they show up in males only). Jynn was quick to notice this and gets Mel to stay focused by tugging on the bit.

Typhon asks if Jynn was sure with having a cyph walk next to him due to the fact that cyphs are a wanted species. "I'll keep everyone under control. I'll make sure no harm comes to you." Typhon then redirects his attention to Bherna, wondering if she remembers him. "How can I forget you? You tried your best to keep me out of harms way during that fight. I'm ever so grateful!"

- Arthur & Helios - /w Aura & Alastor - Training - Outskirts of Mystras

Arthur hitched his breath as Aura asked what kind of training they were thinking about. To Arthur's relief, Alastor gave a rather vague answer about it. He still didn't know how to deal with the situation himself. Alastor is the only one that knew...and possibly Alex. And maybe that was for the better. "(I'm human first and foremost.)" Arthur thought. "(But I definitely won't waste the chance given to me.)" Arthur nodded in confirmation to Alastor's words. "Yes. Like he said." Arthur said as he straightened his posture. "I'm ready to train whenever you are, sir." Arthur said, his hand resting against the hilt of his sword already. Helios nodded at Alastor, grateful for his understanding. "Thank you." He said, turning to look at Aura. "That was a nice nap. What do you say, Aura? Want to stay and watch them train, or want to head back?" Helios asked, lazily laying down the branch with his stomach facing down, one leg hanging onto the branch while the other swayed on the other side, his hands forming a small rest for his chin. At least the training wouldn't be as destructive as Helios expected, and he was more than happy with that.

Aura stared at Alastor for a few seconds, the way he spoke made her think something fishy was going on between him and this other guy, but she chose not to pursue that train of thought.

"That was a great nap, that's for sure." Aura answered Helios, " And I think we can stay for some time. I would like to see this training session. Maybe We can learn something useful in the end."

While it was true that Aura was interested in trying to learn new combat skills, she also wanted to see if her hunch about Alastor and Arthur was correct. She could hear Arthur's heartbeat, his tone of relief by Alastor's words, like a burden had been lifted from his shoulders.

"Besides, there is no rush. Our orders were to wait while Lord Raiden gave his reply to the Prince of Kilkis Seres," she said, "It would be a good way to pass the time until we get new orders."

- Alastor - The Storm - Training Session Near Mystras -

Seems like these two wouldn't go away any time soon, Alastor waited for their conversation to end with folded arms as he looked at Arthur's eagerness to fight, boy had his hand on the hilt of his sword at the ready and everything. Aura seemed interested in watching the session, and that basicaly made Helios want to watch it as well. Alastor sighed and rubbed his hand on his face before walking a few meters back and turning around.

Looking at Helios and Aura, then at Arthur, "If you're ready then, come at me with your best swing." Alastor demanded of Arthur. Alastor noticed he hadn't brought any of his swords, which were left at his tent, thankfuly they were bound to him, and being bound to him allowed him to summon them. Alastor held out his left hand and snapped his fingers, a gust of wind began and soon enough a large ammount of wind began spiraling around his hand, as well as some lightning mixed in the middle, as if he held a storm in his hands. As with a flash of lightning it all dissipated and his sword was summoned, his secondary sword he used on his left hand. Storm Ruler.

He held his sword in front of him, upwards, with his body shifting in turn. "Come, you best swing!" Alastor demanded of Arthur again.

- Arthur & Helios - /w Aura & Alastor - Training - Outskirts of Mystras -

Helios nodded, resting back against the branch. "(I hope all goes good...Jynn.)" Helios thought, his attention quickly turning to Alastor. Arthur slightly jumped at the sight of Alastor summoning his swords from thin air and lightning. He can do that?! Arthur couldn't help but to be in utter awe at the summoning. "(Could I do that too one day?)" Arthur thought. Helios whistled at Alastor's display. It was magical, quite literally. "Show off." Helios hummed. Arthur's attention was brought back to reality as Alastor yelled at Arthur to begin. "Yes sir!" Arthur said, quickly drawing his sword. It was weathered, smudges dulling its shine and scratches showing off its age, yet just as sharp as the day of its creation. On the blade, runes that he couldn't read, and simply figured that it was a weird design choice by his weird father. Maybe they meant more. He wouldn't be using his shield for this one. "(Right.)" Arthur thought, straightening his back as he got into stance, pressing his free arm against his back as he did. If there was one thing Arthur was confident on, it was his swordsmanship skills. He dashed straight at Alastor, slamming his blade against his as hard as he could. He then proceeded to use the ricochet force of the swords clashing to twirl on his feet, spinning around Alastor's side, before pulling his sword back and using the power of the turn to swing his sword towards Alastor's back. Arthur might've not had the raw strength as other knights, but he always made it up with his agility and speed, making him capable of keeping up. Well, in human standards, that is. As for Alastor's standards, he'd yet to see.

- Alastor - Storm - Training in the Outskirts -

Alastor stood still and awaited for Arthur's move, he did move his eyes to look at Helios who had just whistled at Alastor's weapon summoning. Soon after Arthur dashed right at him, as fast a human could, seemed like the kid was one of the speedy types of fighters. Alastor played along and blocked his attack, reading Arthur's movements as the boy soon spun around Alastor, ending up effectively behind him, a bit to the side. A pretty tricky move to pull off, but the boy did it pretty easily.

Alastor didn't change expressions as he spun around as Arthur swung his sword at his back, colliding his sword with his, but instead of allowing a ricochet, Alastor leaned his sword to the side, effectively deflecting Arthur's slash to the side, as he took the opening to put up his foot in front of the boy's leg, as the deflect would end up using his momentum against him, hoping to stagger him forward, should it work, the boy would stagger onto the ground as Alastor stepped back a bit to gain distance.

"I see you rely on agility more than strength, it was a nice move, though easy to read." Alastor spoke, complimenting the boy's sword skills, at least he didn't have to teach the basics.

- Typhon - Bug man - With Jynn and Bherna -

Typhon simply looked at Mel as it growled at him, he learned that horses have fangs that day, it was a good day. Though now he contemplated eating it a bit more now, still, Jynn spoke and broke that line of thought. "I mean bring trouble to you and your daughter, I can take care of myself." Typhon clarified, as the thought of Jynn protecting him didn't sound right in his insect brain.

Bherna spoke soon after, she had remembered Typhon, too bad he was incapable of expressions, what with his face effectively being a mask with no eyes or mouth and literaly no opening in it, surprisingly the horse didn't have trouble reading him though, damn mind reading pagasuses. "I am surprised you remember me, what with me having changed in appearances, heh. Kid's got a good memory Jynn." Typhon sounded flustered at first, but went along with it as he spoke to both of them.

"Might I ask whats in the book?" He finished.

- Arthur & Helios - /w Aura & Alastor - Training - Outskirts of Mystras -

Helios watched in amusement. He wasn't one for war, especially after the event events, but he couldn't deny the beauty of skill either. "(He's quick.)" Helios noted before looking over at Alastor. "(But he's stronger and more experienced by centuries...what caught your eye, Alastor?)" Helios thought with a sheepish smile. Arthur didn't expect it to be easy, and Alastor did not disappoint. As Arthur staggered forward, instead of trying to avoid falling, he instead allowed himself to fall. He fell forward, rolling onto his feet before turning to face Alastor. Just as quick as he regained his footing, he dashed towards Alastor again, his mind already racing with possible movements. Should he slide underneath and attempt to disable him by the legs? Maybe attack his Achilles's heel? Or should he dash straight forward and try to overpower him? Just before reaching Alastor, he did a last second decision, dashing to the side as he ran up against a nearby tree. He jumped against it's base, and pushed himself from it upwards, allowing him to bring his sword down just above Alastor by a few mere feet, using gravity to his advantage. He shifted his hold on his sword, aiming it downwards as he held it with one hand, the other pushing the sword by the hilt.

- Rufus Contralto, Mystran encampment -

Rufus continued to drift lazily in the air, absent-mindedly glancing at the revolving world around him, until his mistress Rabiyu graced him with her presence.  With a mighty yawn more akin to a squawk, he unfolded and righted himself to face her.

"Good morning, milady!" he spoke jubilantly, arms thrown in the air in a series of idle stretches.  "I rested just fine -- as fine as a thespian in a mad, mad world ever could, anyway -- but it happens that I cannot sleep in the typical manner, harrumph harrumph.  Instead, I just wanted to take in the scenery and get away from the hustle and bustle.  What better viewpoint than a hundred feet in the air with a fully open view?"  His manic smile dropped to a puzzled expression as he realised something.  "What the halibut?  You're floating!  Levitating!  Drifting!  How did this happen?!  Pray don't tell me that you are a djinni too!"

Regardless of what Rabiyu said regarding the matter, he stuck his head high and stared up towards the sun, one hand balled onto his hips, the other dramatically braced against his forehead.

"What a world, what a world this is where unfortunate old souls like ourselves are turned into incorporeal individuals, cast upon the aether like cheese on a freshly made pizza!  For shame!  Fie on the universe for making you like me, unable to eat again!"  He turned around, his entire mien shifting to curiosity.  "Actually, how many wishes can you yield?  I can wish you back!  Djinn can wish on other djinn too, I think.  It just has backlashes . . . I think."

Of course, this had yet to be tested by Rufus, having never met a known fellow djinni before, but that was not going to stop him from making his assumption verbally legitimate.

- Lord Raiden, Mystran Encampment in his tent with Maxis -

Raiden felt the prickles in the back of his neck when an unnerving force appeared behind him, and a voice familiar but not known came out of his shadow.  He turned around, expecting Nihil, but was surprised by the suit of armour, one he quickly remembered.

"Maxis," he rumbled, arm slipping behind him to cast a search magic.

Something was different about him than when they met all those years ago, and the illuminating nature of the magic revealed that the armour was peeling off intense darkness . . . and something else unknown to him.  He kept his expression taciturn even as he inwardly cringed.  This man could make a dangerous enemy, and he could guess to what this visit was pertaining.

"It took Shiva to tell me that, yes.  While I had my suspicions, I had great doubts.  The boy doesn't look anything like me, though his nature reminds of my younger self."  He frowned, pulled both arms behind him, and locked his hands together.  "Might I ask what you are doing here, Maxis, or would you like me to guess?"

- Rabiyu - Mystran encampment -

"Oh no, I think you are mistaken Rufus, Rabiyu said to the Djinni, "The ability to fly is possessed by many of us. I am no djinni."

The elf felt strangely relaxed while listening yo the strage fey, but something he said made her remember what she really wanted to ask.

"Rufus, did I ever told you that I didn't had any desire for anything. Fame, fortune, those things are useless to me," she said in a calm tone, "For weeks I've been wondering if it would be possible to wish for the good of another. That other is you Rufus."

Rabiyu looked to the ground below, the many people wandering around the camp. Then she looked back at the djinni, her face completely serene.

"For a time I wondered if that wish could prove useful at any time in this fight, but then I realized that you too had wishes of your own. To be free, to have your memories back," she said while looking at Rufus, "Could I wish for that Rufus? Would you like to have your freedom or your memories back now? Is it possible to wish for both things?

- Alastor - The Storm - Training in the outskirts -

Arthur recovered quickly, rolling onto the ground and onto his feet, a smart move considering the situation he was in, either you fell flat in your face and became vulnerable or you braced the fall and recovered quickly enough to return to a defensive position. Alastor watched patiently as Arthur's next move played out. With a cold, serious gaze staring at Arthur the entire time, Alastor was barely even blinking as he analyzed Arthur's movements.

The boy's attack was nothing short of...unorthodox, the boy used a tree as leverage to gain the height advantage as he slammed the sword towards Alastor, his mistake was thrusting the sword downwards insteald of slashing, as a missed strike would impale the sword on the ground and leave him very vulnerable.

Alastor stared Arthur down to the last second before Arthur's sword hit him, in the split second the sword would have collided with him fully, Alastor deftly sidestepped, not a flash step, just an extremely fast side step, not the like that left after images from so fast, it was simply fast. Alastor acted at the last possible second to dodge, to make sure Arthur capitalized on the attack.

With the sidestep Alastor was positioned right behind Arthur, and he simply put his blade at the side of Arthur's head, signaling the boy had left himself vulnerable with the attack. Alastor wanted to see if the boy could recover from a bad position such as this or not.

"You did you attack, and your enemy dodged it, gaining the advantage, now he has his sword on your back, ready to strike, what do you do?" Alastor spoke to Arthur.

- Maxis Clone - The Mad Armor - Conversing with Raiden -

"True enough, the boy does look different from his father, although I can't say for how he resembles your younger self, I never met you until after you had married Shiva." Maxis spoke after Raiden, his tone sounding somewhat sorrowful for once, surprisingly. Before he laughed, "Im glad you remember me nonetheless! You know I would give you a hug but im afraid thats out of the question?" Maxis gleefuly spoke, extending his arms gesturing for Raiden to come hug him, which probably wouldn't happen as he gave up soon after.

"So boys what do you think?" Maxis spoke, apparently to nothing. But as he spoke two more clones emerged from the shadows near Raiden, as they stood at opposite sides of the man. "hmmmmmm...." One clone hummed for a second, while the third answered. "He does not smell like a killer..." The clone spoke, sounding disappointed. As the main one took a step foward.

"I am not here to kill you, if thats what you and your writer were wondering." Maxis spoke with a mixture of sarcasm and mocking tone. "I came here to confirm something, which was if you killed her or not. Which you didn't, but I also came here to." The clone to the left of Raiden poked his left cheek with its metal index finger. "I came to mess with you!." The clone who had poked Raiden's cheek gleefuly stated giggling to itself as the other the main clone, whom stood in front of Raiden stood quiet, and the third clone looked at around the tent. "And I came here to check out your collection of books and utensils!" It also gleefuly spoke. These three, while looking the same and connected together, they all had different personalities.

Raiden, if he kept reading the atmosphere during Maxis's shenanigans, he'd feel the oppressive, yet non hostile aura Maxis exerted with each step and speech. Clear that Maxis was just toying with him.

"Also...how are things on your side...how are you holding up after my lady's death?"

Jynn Venas & Bherna-En route to Kilkes Seres campsite with Typhon

Typhon was quick to elaborate what he meant, asking if his presence would bring trouble to him and Bherna. "Oh, my apologies. No. We should be fine." The bug man seemed surprised that Bherna was able to remember him, despite his new appearance. Jynn laughs. "Yea. She doesn't forget much. Especially moments like that time you saved her. She was also taught how to read auras as part of her training. On........" He was interrupted by Bherna. "One's aura doesn't change even if their appearance or personality does." Jynn pats her on the back. "Very good."

Typhon then becomes curious about the contents of the book Bherna was holding. Jynn was hesitant to answer, but It'd be best to fill in Typhon about the situation. "The book contains information that can help me earn the human king's, Alderon's, trust. From what I've been told, his daughter is under a curse that causes her to be part beast. He came to the Overworld seeking a way to nullify the curse." Jynn sighs and places a hand on Bherna's shoulder. He didn't care how soft it made him look. "I probably would be traumatized too if that happened to Bherna......."

A few minutes later, the three manage to arrive at the campsite, but not before sighting a familiar figure. Jynn immediately recognizes it. "Dawson!"

Dawson-Kilkes Seres campsite, run in with Jynn, Bherna, and Typhon

A few hundred feet away from the Kilkes Seres campsite, Dawson was returning from Jynn's hideout to offer any assistance. He grabs a horn to announce his presence and to pass on presumed news about the prince's refusal to help. He sounds the horn. It emitted a low pitch hum, but was loud enough for everyone on the Kilkes Seres side to hear. After sounding the horn, he draws closer to the campsite, but he is interrupted by the sound of flapping wings of Melstrome behind him. "Jynn?"

Mel lands besides the felyne, with Jynn quickly dismounting. Dawson crosses his arms. "Well....... looks like someone had a change of heart. I'm not going to ask what brought you to your senses........" He glances at Bherna. Why is she here? This is a war zone, it's too dangerous for a tween to be here. Prehaps Jynn has a good reason. ".......... but I will ask why you brought Bherna here. Is there something I should know about?"

Jynn puts his hands in his pockets. "There is............. Raiden is my father." Dawson's jaw drops like a rock. "Your father?! Raiden?!" Jynn tries to keep Dawson quiet. He didn't want anyone to notice while coming out of the camp. "Shh. Don't give it away!" There was a slight pause. Dawson was still suspicious. "That still doesn't answer as to why Bherna is here." Jynn quickly whispers the situation in his ear. Dawson nods with a "uh huh" with each sentence the prince finishes. Jynn backs away. Dawson processes what was said to him. "I see. So you're meeting the human king before Raiden, and his daughter is under a curse........ So you brought Bherna in an attempt to show the human king that you understand what it's like to be a father." Jynn nods. "Correct." The felyne sighs. "Look Jynn, it's a great plan, 'cept it sucks, in my opinion......... but I'll go along with it." He quickly climbs up on Jynn's shoulder. "After all..... we're best friends, right your highn..... er......... your majesty?" Jynn was unsure how to answer. "R...right."

Shiva's owl locates Jynn and perches itself on his other shoulder. The new king retrieves the letter and two calling cards from the pouch and reads them. This was his cue.

{Mariel: Mystras camp}

Mariel was preparing to start heading for the griffin when Henry popped up. First that bodyguard, now this one. Aura's little circle of friends certainly got around. His sense puzzled the Guardian Angel like it had before. Perhaps something to unravel on the road?

"It seems like our goals align, and I won't say no to another sword arm in this hunt." She answered, offering a hand to Henry. "Welcome aboard, Ser Henry. I should have enough provisions in a pack, near our ride. I don't need much food, so what I have might be enough for the three of us."

- Sifrei - Mystran Encampment -

Well, it seemed that neither Mariel or Henry had to further prepare for the jouney. Sifrei got closer to Hestia and whispered something to her. A moment later Hestia lowered herself to let Mariel and Henry sit on her back.

"Alright girl, our destination will be Lake Kresnik," Sifrei said to Hestia, "you know where the lake is, correct?

The winged creature looked at the Archangel for a moment, her eyes giving him an amused look before nodding.

"Good. You will take Mariel and Henry with you, I will follow you by myself. Let us make haste, but do be careful."

Sifrei waited until both the disguised angel and the former knight were ready. Once in position Sifrei nodded towards Hestia. With a powerful flap of her wings Hestia took to the skies, leaving a cloud of dust, and a few confused faces, on the ground. Sifrei's wings slowly appeared behind him, and with a similar flap he followed the gryphon who was already flying towards Lake Kresnik.

"Hold on tight, both of you," Sifrei said with a smile, "it will be an interesting ride."

And with that both angels, the ex-knight and a gryphon began their way towards the Lake that witnessed the fall of the Queen of Kilkis Seres.
