Stardustblade358 806 Posted August 20, 2017 - Helios - Front Flank - Side: Kilkis Seres - VS Soren - Soren's words hurt more than Helios wanted to admit. His eyes softened, looking over at Soren as he hesitated. What would Ren say? His heart ached. Disgusted. Angered. Betrayed. Helios frowned, pursing his lips, shaking his head in anger. "I HAVE NO CHOICE!" Helios screamed, watching as Soren reached for his neck. Helios allowed him to approach, waiting for the last second to dodge to the side, and then proceeded to bite Soren's arm hard, digging his teeth into his skin. He tasted the iron of blood, heating up to Soren's magic as his body shook. "I was saved by humans and brought to trial. The Queen has provided me with forgiveness on the condition I make my due. It isn't what I desired, but what else can I do?! Where else can I go under her watch?! Have you not seen that I have yet to take a single life in this war?!" Helios hissed, biting down even harder. It wasn't until he felt the tip of his teeth feel what could possibly be the surface of bone that he realized of how tightly he was biting. He narrowed his eyes, just as suddenly letting go of Soren, blood following him in his drenched mouth. "...sorry." Helios murmured, taking a step back from Soren, his gaze looking down. Ren. "Ren...he would hate me anyways wouldn't he?! Ariana...she...she..." Helios felt his facade crack, a few tears escaping his eyes as he shook his head, using his own claws to scratch at his face. "Did...did Ren suffer?" Helios asked, looking up at Soren like a kicked puppy. "Did he suffer when they...k...k...?" For all Helios knew, Ren was long gone along with Ariana. He was alone in this world. He couldn't save neither and he survived for...for what? Surely nothing important. Just to follow orders, live and acknowledge that he couldn't do a damn thing for neither of them. For a moment, the beastly shapeshifter seemed so small. - Arthur - Front Flank - Side: Rebellion of Mystras - VS Dawson - "(The prince.)" Arthur thought, listening to Dawson. By all that he had heard, seen, and witnessed, the prince was different from his mother. More accepting, less strict or traditional. In what his mother would damn the prince would accept with open arms. He could only remember a blurry image of him from that time long ago. But so far, it was clear; the prince might as well be the answer to all of this. Arthur lowered his sword momentarily, staring at Dawson as he narrowed his eyes. "Then let us call it a truce between us." Arthur offered, not once lowering his shield, however. "I have heard much of the prince of this world, of how different he is from his mother. My enemy is the Queen and the barrier that she keeps between our worlds. Not your prince." Arthur began, lowering his shield slightly. "Fighting each other is useless considering we both want similar goals out of this. You fight for your prince, I for my people. Maybe when the Queen's head ends up on a platter can we both become allies. But fighting each other will be a waste of time and energy." Arthur hissed, looking away from him at the battlefield around him. "If you want to continue I will not stop you. But you wish to fight for your people and the prince? Don't you think he will be disappointed if you die?"
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted August 21, 2017 --Elia Cabret -- Kilkis Seres: Right flank VS Raleigh-- The arrow that Raleigh sent flying was faster than any Elia had ever seen. Something that heavily impressed the fairy, especially since the girl was likely human. She extended a palm and an amber glow emitted forth, freezing the arrow in place moments before it would've met her extended fingers. "You've been doing this for a long time, I'm assuming," Elia voiced, edging closer toward her fellow bowman. "You are talented with a bow, perhaps more than any of the kingdom's fey. Are you from the World Below?" The young fairy attempted to keep all curiosity out of her tone, though it was impossible. After all, her sister risked her life to see what life was like down there, and Elia did indeed wonder what she was missing out on. She notched another arrow while awaiting Raleigh's response, though didn't let it fly. "You would do best just to go home. Your kind don't stand a chance out here," she warned, wide violet eyes fixated on Raleigh's. She was only several yards away at this point, and now amidst the heat of battle. Not very wise for a healer, but she was not merely the average one. --Queen Shiva -- Kilkis Seres Center Flank VS Mariel-- Sweat beaded along Shiva's forehead upon her enemy's sword bursting into flames. She grunted, though not solely from the heat wave. Mariel had seemed to hit the nail on the end in terms of her beliefs, but how could she be read so easily? Was she merely a windowpane? "You do not know anything about me!" the queen protested, fury evident in her voice. "Do not be so presumptuous!" She extended an arm to the sky, causing four large ice sculptures to form behind her. They appeared animate, spears braced in their hands. "I have tried to warn you, but you have left me with little choice." Simultaneously the sculptures threw their spears at Mariel, while the queen sped away on horseback, her blade digging into the ground. In its wake ice began to protrude from the ground, forming an enclosure to surround both herself and the guardian angel. --Everyth Castanova -- Mystras Right flank VS Maxis-- Shock flooded Everyth as her final strike caused Maxis' head to roll, though, to her even greater shock, no blood came forth. For a moment she thought that she had won, hoping to share this news with Henry and ensure herself a date. But no, no sooner did Maxis reveal he was more than alive and well, shooting an uppercut into her gut that sent her reeling. She rolled backward, landing awkwardly on her stomach, not daring to move as she contemplated whether she were still among the living. Once she did arise to her feet, Maxis performed his next trick, which involved encasing the poor sorceress in darkness. This brought many a memory back to the raven-haired woman, chiefly her battle with the punisher, Pracia, in the world below. Everyth closed her eyes, hoping to hone in on Maxis' location through senses rather than sight. Once she felt a presence she decided to take aim. She sent her longsword sailing through the air, its speed enhanced with her time magic, spiraling directly toward Maxis' core. And that was when she felt the slice into her lower calf, causing her to cry out in pain. When the following flurries came, however, Everyth was prepared. She encased herself in a shell of darkness, a violet orb which shattered upon the final strikes. While she hoped that her sword would be embedded into Maxis' body, she was now without her weapon, leaving her only with a set of magic tricks up her sleeve, along with a now damaged leg. "Not bad, for a bodiless suit of armor," she sneered, bringing a clawed hand up into the air. Everyth then poured forth quite the amount of dark energy, taking the form of fog within a twelve-by-twelve-foot radius. This energy was tainted with slow magic, which, if affected, would slow or cease Maxis' movements. This was going to be Everyth's chance to get her sword back, as she plunged straight for it, whether embedded in Maxis or elsewhere. (Still trying to figure out what Ren's going to do. I'll try to post for him tomorrow).
Saber Lily 1,543 Posted August 21, 2017 Flashback 1: Mare Septim Raz was in a tower - as ridiculous as that was - when the cries of surprise echoed. he looked out to find the sky filled with none other than the floating city of Hunter, hundreds upon hundreds of Icarus flying about. Mare Septim was on full guard as Raz rose, before his window shattered, and Jeremy walked in. "Yo." "You're late." "Sorry." He shrugged. "War's gonna be happening, and it's time your dad let you go." "I refuse." At the door was the imposing My'Khael. Jeremy looked unimpressed as usual. "Listen Sir. The time for isolation is over. This is not just for the sake of us, but the Overworld. Are you certain He will enjoy hearing how everyone chose to stand by and let the Overworld crumble, for the sake of...isolationism?" "It is law." "I have this thing where I break the rules." He turned around. "Raz and his loyalists will come with me. And we will go and rally the Succubi of Mare Luxuria, and then we will go to the battlefield and do what no one else above or below will. We will fight for our world." His ashen wings spread out. "My name is Jeremy of Hunter, and I refuse to stand by." He took off...then Raz's wings unfurled. "It is time for action, father. I will go, blessing or not." "As-" "I chose to create the Order, I choose to look for alternative paths. I will cure Etherius father. And I will defeat the demons through the one path you have chosen to abandon. The path of love." He turned. "Goodbye, father. I shall return victorious, or dead." The King of the Archangels watched his son leave, and as his blade was held aloft, did the Angels flock. the City of Hunter began to leave, leaving My'Khael...proud. "You finally found your fire, my son." Flashback 2: Mare Luxuria Shar'eena gripped her spear. The Valkyries had always been loyal to their Queen, Zion, and when Shar'eena took power...well, they truly did not care. The Dawnstone of ZIon glowed for Shar, and they trusted in the Queen. Even when she fell in love with Xion, and birthed Eclaire. She never once wavered in her beliefs. Now they marched through the ragged streets of Luxuria, Xion and Takao at her side. The Succubi retreated at the sight of Xion, Takao's light, and Shar's entire army. And to the castle gates they marched, and together they tore the castle gates down. The guards were weak and scared, unable to fight the ready Valkyries. Xion tore past them, anyone who tried to resist consumed by Etherius, the Viral Consumption. And to the Throne she went, tearing the door asunder with the blackened blade, Long and Dark December. "I am Xion Izanami de Wynter, Betrothed of the Valkyrie Queen, true heir to the Throne of Mare Luxuria. I have come to reclaim my Kingdom." "You were rightly- " the succubus didn't get to finish. Xion was where Eclaire had inherited her speed, and Xion consumed the traitor without a word. "I reclaim my throne." "H-How?!" They backed away. "Why have you been away for so long?!" "The Temple of Light was closest to my wife, you see." She turned to Takao. "And Zi? Thinking I'd never figure it out...idiot." She rubbed her head. "What is left of Luxuria's military?" "...we are weakened. The virus -" "Fear not the virus. Fear the ideal that the world ends. Etherius will be cured - but if the Overworld ends, then there will be nothing to live for." Flashback 3: The Iron Cathedral The massive doors flung open, banging loudly. The Iron Wolves turned, weapons drawn...but instead of war, they entered submission. "My King!" Rhaedyn Thane strode across the threshold of the Last Building. The Ithurian slammed the axe to the ground, resting his hands between the blades. "Wolves of Iron. Take up your blades, your cloaks, and your cold. The Overworld is threatened, and it is time we show the justice in Iron." He turned, cape billowing in the icy northern wind...and Nine Iron Wolves slunk into the snow, and disappeared. The City of Hunter: Preparing for War Jeremy stood atop the tower in the square. Below him, Archangels, Valkyries, Succubi, Icarus, and what Dominion and Ophanim that could be gathered stood. It was his city, and his floor. He looked across them...and for once, was serious. His sword at his back, wings primed for takeoff, he looked at every angel and demon below him. Rhaedyn Thane and the Iron Wolves were at the back as usual. He had decided to hold the Iron Wolves in reserve, to ensure they did not play all cards at once. "The only thing evil ever needs for victory, is the inaction of good. Today, it is time we stop our era of inaction. For too long have we been divided. We are all from the same Creator, all from the same blood. We may have different wings of different colors, different stations and paths, but we all walk to the same destination. And among us are Succubi. Do they not deserve the chance to show that they are in fact good? Will the decisions of our fathers forever be held against us? No! I refuse to let anyone be held accountable for the sins of our fathers! Their blood runs in us but their sins are their own! We are our own people, with our own hearts, dreams, and ideals. And I stand here as a sovereign, and as a friend. Before me is what we can muster. It is not much, but numbers have never won a war. Wars are truly won by those willing to give everything for their cause. Be it country, cathedral, or creed. So raise your blades in the name of the Overworld. If it is to falter, if it's destruction can be averted, let us do so! Fly, friends. The drums beat for war!" Left Flank: Xion, Takao, and their reinforcements As the City of Hunter broke the clouds, Xion and Takao headed to the left flank, what little Succubi and the 5th Valkyrie Battalion - "Light's Breath" - at their backs. Shar could not spare more, and she remained back at Hunter with the reserves. Xion summoned her dark sword to her side. She descended upon the battlefield, her blade piercing the chest of a Mystras swordsman. Her body shimmered with dark magic, and she unleashed a wave before her, driving back foes as Takao landed behind her. She almost immediately was pounced upon by a trio of men, but one of her Succubus charmed the third, leaving her to dodge and block, allowing a soldier of Kilkis Seres to support and attack the charmed one. "Takao! Provide healing!" Xion ordered, blocking and playing defensively. She hadn't fought in awhile, and it seemed her foes wanted to pile on."Not....in the mood!" She roared, driving them back. Soon enough a few of her allies came, leaving her and Takao facing four soldiers. She immediately threw herself into it, her Consuming hand tearing the first asunder, splattering his friend with blood. The boy screamed in terror as the demonic Princess of Luxury turned to him, blood on her face. "Run." And he did, screaming. She turned and quickly threw her sword up, but was knocked back, a slash getting her arm. She roared in pain, fist covered in dark fire before punching through her aggressor's chest. Takao immediately began praying, her angelic tongue healing the wound. "Save your energy, Taka. I can survive light wounds." "Okay, Sis." Center Flank: Eclaire, Jeremy, and Rhaedyn Eclaire had lost sight of Shiva, and was continually kept from getting to her, be it by magic, man, or mania. The massive amount of magic being thrown out from Shiva's area kept her on the outskirts, forcing Eclaire to ensure she wasn't flanked...but that was easy. Eclaire was fast, one of the fastest on her feet, and man nor mer could keep up. Seeing oncoming enemies, her clothes shimmered and changed, and she was dressed in a red skirt and halter top. Cat ears laid flat, she kicked off and got airborne, landing behind them...and five mer began advancing. Holding Overture out, she crackled with lightning...and was behind them an instant later, followed by their carcasses hitting the ground. She flashed about four more times, before her clothes shimmered, revealing Freya's Hand, the Armor of the Valkyries that her mother bequeathed. She summoned Kusanagi and charged it with Thunder magic, taking a few hits - but the armor took the brunt. She slashed and swiped...then spotted a man on a horse, farther back. He seemed....human. The Mad King. She activated flash step, managing to make it past a good chunk of the enemies, before she was forced to enter a melee. But her mastery of Thunder magic cleared a path, allowing her to stop in front of Alderon Niles, panting only slightly. "Your scent is of madness...and not of this world." her sword shattered to light, replaced by a spear - In Paradisum, the Spear of Paradox, called the God-Slaying Spear. She twirled and entered a battle stance. If she was wrong, then so be it. But her mothers always said...trust your instincts. Jeremy swooped down with his Icarus, slicing and dodging. Many rained magic down, utilizing their abilities of aerial superiority to ensure the rebels would have to fear both land...and air. He backwinged. "Third Daedalus Corps! Commence anti-pegasus knight action!" He roared. "Ensure we obtain supremacy of the skies!" His blade glowed, the dark metal gleaming in the sun. He surveyed the area. He had to ensure his forces stayed focus, and nothing too big decided to show it's ugly face. Like a dragon. Or A wyrm. Or his crazy uncle Clive from Hufflpufflington down east. Rhaedyn Thane strode forward, his armor clanking. He had chosen to protect the Healers, knowing they were the weakest. "HEALER DOWN!" A man shouted, but soon silenced. Rhaedyn Thane withdrew Frostlight, the blade's divine iron leaving and icy wake. He strode forward, and saw Alastor. "You." His voice carried, a voice of a King. "You attack mere healers. It is time that you faced someone who can bite back." he raised his blade to the side and advanced, cape billowing. A few troops tried to rush him, but he didn't even favor his sword - he backhanded one airborne, the man landing in a lifeless, broken heap. The rest backed away as He of Many Titles, but only claims one - the Iron Lord, strode to Alastor. "Frostlight hungers." 1 Mystics Apprentice reacted to this
Vaude 536 Posted August 22, 2017 - Lord Raiden, Mystras, Left Flank, VS Jynn - Raiden glanced at the upstarting individual that charged Jynn, the man bold but unwise and cocky as he raised a weapon against the prince. Before he could say anything to warn him, and before he could do anything to prevent him, the man was fended off and launched across the field. With a hand being taken off the jeweled hilt of Raiden's great blade, a search magic was issued from the lord of Mystras, seeking out any possibilities of life within the fallen soldier and his comrades, but luckily they all managed to survive. He breathed a sigh of relief and looked back towards the prince, a trickle of a smile appearing on his countenance. Jynn was the spitting image of him when he was young, only perhaps better in some ways. How Raiden hoped and wished it were so. "Do not view it as reluctance as much as calculation," Raiden responded, resetting his position and pounded the tip of the sword back into the ground, as if to command attention. "I have come to parley in hopes that you will convince the queen and her army to turn around this instant." His voice lowered to a more serious note as he continued, "Crown prince, this war, this battle, ever since its birth it was unnecessary. With so much bloodshed and death, even caused by my own weapon, the possibility of mutual coexistence grows ever slimmer. I want Shiva and yourself to know that you both must turn back in order for this to happen. Elsewise, this cycle of death and hatred will continue, and it will be more difficult for any and every one of us to have our aspirations fulfilled. Turn back, and peace can be realised once again." - Raleigh Marin, Mystras, Left Flank, VS Elia - The female assassin raised a brow at the interesting individual in front of her, witnessing for the first moment a use of magic like that. The arrow was stuck in place as if something invisible was there blocking it, but the arrow did not shudder, nor did it fall. What was this person even doing? Even now the girl was edging closer to her, lessening the distance even after witnessing the speed of Raleigh's arrows and brazenly staring at her. Yes, this girl was interesting. It was too bad she had to be dealt with quickly and effectively before she could be a problem. "I'm from down below, little sharpshooter, yes," Raleigh responded, taking an elegant leap from beyond the parapet and landing a decent distance in front of Elia, "and as much as I can say that's the case for others of my kind I never back out of a challenge. You'd best leave before you get hurt. This lowly human feels more than mighty enough to take you down." Shifting the bow to one hand and sliding her palm further up the bowlength, Raleigh swung the longbow like a sword in an aim to catch Elia's free hand with the other end and pull the fairy closer. If she succeeded, Raleigh would use her own free hand and grab hold of the shamshir at her waist, slicing in a horizontal crescent arc after freeing her bow from Elia's wrist. If she failed, she would attempt to spin around twice on a heel and nock an arrow in the meantime, readying a shot for next time. - Reginald Heathertoes (NPC), Kilkes Seres, Left Flank, with Rhaedyn VS Alastor - Reginald looked upon his heavily armoured ally with a glint of interest, pushing his shades further up his nose. It seems this foe he laid claim to had attracted further attention, but an enemy of an enemy is a friend, especially in a war. "Fair warning to you, friend," the druid called out to the Iron Lord, adjusting his sights back to the opponent at hand, "this guy ain't no picnic like the common soldier. Special swords aside, you'd best be prepared for anything unless you like to play with your life. With that, Reggie knelt down again and prepared two spells, one with a simple slam of the hand and the other with two slams facing left and right, respectively. The result of the first was a sand cloud wrapping around him yet distant from him, preventing electricity from jumping to him from sand particle to sand particle. The result of the second was two stalactites formed of rock which shot towards Alastor with a second of pause, aiming for his neck and his hip. Wounding Alastor in any way would be greatly beneficial in the long run, and even if the projectiles did not wound him it would help him further assess what he is capable of. Elrandir 783 Posted August 22, 2017 (edited) - Rabiyu - Rebellion of Mystras - between center and right flank -Perfect, the sudden change in the situation was perfect, apparently the holy ones and the fallen had decided to join the fight, fighting alongside Kilkis Seres."Uh...and here I thought they were neutral," Rabiyu thought as she watched the new forces, "I wonder what took so long."Choices, choices, choices...keep moving towards the healers, return to destroy the strange Wendigo that appeared not long ago, or destroy a few more enemies, so many choices. Henry was doing good, more than good. The Elf then noticed Alastor and his two enemies, perhaps she could lend a hand. The Elf quickly ran towards Alastor's side while looking at both Reginald and Rhaedyn, she quickly shot two arrows towards the stalactites that were flying towards Alastor."It seems that we underestimated some of the members of Kilkis Seres' army,' she said calmly, "Do you need help, Master Alastor? Or do you prefer to fight against the two of them."While waiting for a response Rabiyu spread her arms and looked at the sky, quickly taking notice of which feys were from Mystras and which ones were enemies."Zii do su, gaar hin nah ahrk drun amativ qo wah nos tum, Thulnos!," Rabiyu said while her voice gained an echo effect and the sky grew darker, "Hon dii laanah, o kruziik gein, fahraal dii faan ahrk gaar thy stahdim thul wah daar wo hind wah aax mii, Venfen do faal Kruziik!"After a couple of seconds lightning bolts began to take down enemy units all around the center flank, it was a literal thunderstorm casted by the Northern Elf that was taking down the enemy's flying units. Something in the back of Rabiyu's mind was taking pleasure in the fight, it had been centuries since the last time she had smelled the scent of blood in the air, it made her feel...excited, but it was wrong! she didn't wanted to kill that many, only to take down the healers, but it felt so good! she wanted to stop, but something made her forget about the situation and instead she focused on Alastor and his two enemies, the thunderstorm was going to end soon anyways, she was unable to maintain it for long periods of time, even when the spell was enhanced with dragon tongue."They came to the battlefield on their own volition, ready to give their lives for those they swore to protect." Rabiyu said to Rhaedyn, "Those are the consequences of war, O Herald of Winter! This conflict will bring forth untold repercusions for everyone, humans and feys alike, all of it for a choice made by King Alexander of Kilkis Seres, and followed to this day by his daugher, Queen Shiva de la Alexandria."The Elf waved her hand around to show the different groupd fighting against each other."This could have been avoided if only the Queen agreed to destroy the barrier between worlds, for it is not her right to doom the world below for the actions of their ancestors," she said flatly, "There is no justice or revenge in this fight, only the clash between our different beliefs. The Queen on the other hand, she thinks everyone who is not with her are traitors to this world, and that is a very selfish and dangerous thought, it's either be on her side or be destroyed for trying to help the world below." - Sifrei Mond and Aeternum Siblings - Rebellion of Mystras - Center Flank -That feeling, that strange yet familiar feeling, apparently the people from the divine cities and their counterparts were comig to fight."You've got to be kidding," Sifrei thought, "that is not possible, they always-"The Werewolf took the chance to punch the Archangel away from him, while the siblings moved in front of Sifrei."You alright?" Aurion asked,"What happened?"Sifrei looked at the sky and sighed, then once again focused on the werewolf."Nothing, do not worry about it," he answered, "we have to focus on this one."The Werewolf howled and clapped slowly, his smile widening with every second."It seems the ones above and the ones below finally choose to join the fight," Fenrir said, "This will be the end of Mystras!"Fenrir used his claws to attack the siblings, but the managed to block the attack, while Sifrei used his spear to stab the werewolf in the chest."Let them come! We will do our best," Sifrei said, his spear freezing Fenrir in the spot it was stabbed, "And we will succeed!"The Sibings pushed Fenrir's claws upwards, made a twirl, and slashed with both swords on the fey's chest, leaving a big gash in the form of an "X" on him. Saber Lily 1,543 Posted August 22, 2017 Rhaedyn Thane, Protecting the Healers The Iron Lord stood resolute. He listened politely to Rabiyu, as the lightning began felling Pegasus Knights. He resumed his advance. "The sins of the father have no weight on the progeny to Iron. Iron cares only for the deeds of those tested. For the Queen, her choice was unbiased. It was towards those she was charged to protect. Evil does not protect - it only destroys." He drew from his back Dawnmourne, the axe bursting into flame. "I hold many titles to my name, oh Northern Elf. Sovereign of Ithuriel, to the East the Dragon of Death, to the West the Rising Son. I who have delivered toys to children in despaire, slain the Cabbages of Bu'umi. But today, Elf, you shall remind yourself the title that came about long ago." Rhaedyn Thane slammed Dawnmourne into the ground, and the surrounding area became a hellish firescape, yet the flames did not consume those of Kilkis Seres...nor did it necessarily consume those of Mystras. Only those of evil felt the fire and the flames, as he strode forth, unabated. "I am the Wall upon which Darkness breaks. I am the Alpha of the Iron Wolves, and I have bared my teeth." He did not glance to Reginald, though did speak. "Mage of the Queen of Kilkis Seres, my flames do not consume those of Good. Face the Elven Mage of the North. The berserker before me will be my foe." His armor glowed within the flames, and the only thing needed from Rhaedyn Thane was two white wings, to complete the image of an angel of death, descending. https://youtu.be/CWe005HIn6I Jeremy of Hunter and Ask'raziel, Center Flank Jeremy twirled and slashed the fae in two, competing the turn to black an axe. He pushed back, slashing and blocking, as his own people screamed. He looked skyward as the lighting began to fall, and he took flight without a second thought. He came above the troops and ran his hand along the blade. "Oh voided Light, hear my call. Protect those from the heaven's fall." He stabbed Allegiance skyward, and a massivecircular shield of void fire was created, taking the last brunt of the magic...but it was taxing. His shield was broken and he was hit, sword up to protect him. he was thrown downwards, but caught by Raz and landed. "You idiot." "Our people." He spat back, grimacing. His left arm was hurt, bad. But Jeremy was anything if not stubborn to a ridiculous fault. Raz ran a hand on his arm, Light Magic giving basic healing. Jeremy pushed Raz to the side and deflected an enemy attack, pushing back. "Just like the Raid of Olympius Mon?" "Just like old times, my friend." back to back, the Angels of Light were surrounded. "Just like them." Jeremy laughed. "Don't these people know who I am?" He kicked off, massive sword smashing a fae to the ground, the Elf's last words a scream. "I'm Jeremy of Hunter, mates." Raz kicked off at the same time, parrying two before Magnanimous found one's heart and a Light Lance Spell found the other. "I am Ask'raziel, Son of My'Khael, brother of Shar'aia and leader of the Order. Do you truly wish to test my blade of Forgiveness?" He stated, raising his Day-Lit blade once more. Then freedom rang, or more specifically, Freedom rang. The mighty hammer of the Dominion Princess came down upon an armored man's back, breaking him in two. Then a few others felt the sting of the Throne's bow, Artemisia. And finally, Shar'aia and her spear were there, downing two. Back to back to back, the Order of Lux had come together. "Well, now it's like the Defense of Hydalyn!" Jeremy joked, twisting and avoiding a few attacks, as his fellows did the same. Arrows found their mark. The Order were a cohesive unit, covering their flanks and letting no one fight alone. They had all made a pact to the Light, and over their raids and defenses, had they indeed grown strong. Now Jeremy and Raz were backed by their friends, and they began fighting towards the center of their flank, trying to create a line. And they got to their destination. "We hold the line!" Raz roared, the Angels forming a loose line, their own soldiers massing. "Do not let them break us! We are the Order! We are the Angels of the Overworld, and we must protect this world with all our might!"
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted August 22, 2017 ( Mystras Side ) Henry - The Dreadnought - VS Nergal - Henry backstepped away from Nergal, but he immediately sensed it was a mistake, as he felt a huge spike in energy coming from Nergal. It seemed like the man was about to charge him, but he did not. 'Something big is coming' 'I know' 'What do we do?' Henry gritted his teeth, it was too late to stop Nergal's attack now, the man had probably already charged enough to launch it, and he had no time to dodge either. Instead Henry focused on his armor, the Dreadnought armor materializing around him, with its aura much stronger than the last glimpses it showed to Nergal during the attacks, powerful darkness and earth magic were being charged and infused within the armor. In seconds Henry was fully clad in the Dreadnought, except this armor seemed more dense and sturdier than any other armor he ever made. 'I'l tackle it head on...' 'You'l what?!' As Nergal Launched the attack, Henry took a step forward into a lunge, tackling the attack head on. Henry was quickly engulfed in Nergal's attack, nothingness striking his armor from all sides, exploding and damaging it...but also charging it. Yes, Henry was absorbing the kinetic force of the blasts into his armor. "AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRH" Henry screamed from within the attack THe armor was nearly destroyed in half, but Henry kept reconstructing it and hardening it every scratch it took, it took great concentration and stamina off him. But he managed to get through Nergal's attack. Henry launched from the smoke from the countless explossions like a missile at Nergal. Dreadnought armor, while heavily weakened, still strong. Now it glew with all the energy it generated from the blows it took. Glowing outlines of pure energy were visible. As Henry launched towards Nergal, stopping halfway and slamming his fist down on the ground. Causing a massive shockwave that ruptured the ground with kinetic force. If Nergal did not dodge, he would get hit by the impact and the earth. Possibly causing heavy damage. "Right back at you!" Henry spoke as he did the attack, his voice much lower pitch than normal. But Henry prepared for the chance of Nergal dodging, but whether he dodge or not he would still do this move, charging fire energy in the same arm he slammed the ground with, and infusing it with the generated force still within the armor. Henry overcharged his dark fireball, it didn't seem big, in fact it looked like a regular old fireball. He quickly threw it towards Nergal's position, the dark fireball exploding before impact, once again. Except this time with a much, much bigger explosion than last time. This would be tough for Nergal to dodge. This attack could be seen from both flanks and almsot everyone in it, from the sheer fireworks the fireball was and the tremor of the slam. 'And send it back at him.' 'You're insane' 'I know'. This took a great deal of stamina out of Henry, but he hoped it did something. As he de-materialized the armor to conserve stamina. "That would have killed me if I didn't react quick enough..." Henry commented, mostly to himself as he panted. - Alastor - The Storm - VS Rhaedyn Thane - Alastor was unamused by the show fo the Druid, as his soldiers were smart enough to not charge headfirst into the dirt piles, well...most were. Some still got stuck by them, but overrall, it would not delay them that much. They were pushing for the healers, and they would stop at nothing. Before Alastor could really do anything else another opponent approached, except this one was much bigger and in heavy armor. Whom posessed power over Fire, considering the firestorm he just casted. And he had wings, this was getting more and more over the top for Alastor's liking. The projectiles the druid shot ath im were quickly destroyed by Rabiyu, whom came to his assistance, while Alastor scoffed at her question of assistance, he somwhat welcomed her help, after all fighting two opponents wasn't exactly on his list of favorite things to do. "The Queen wishes to maintain the barrier, while aknowledging that in doing so the world below will die." Alastor spoke with a serious tone. Holding his twin swords in his hands as he looked at Rhaedyn and Reginauld. "I myself do not fight for the world below, I follow my friend, and a promise i've made to an ally." Alastor spoke, his words weighted by his iron will. Things got somewhat better when Rabyiu casted a thunderstorm around them. Prompting Alastor to smirk under his helmet. As he held both his swords up to the sky. Concentrating as a massive thunderbolt struck them, sending a great ammount of electrical energy around Alastor's body, armor, and weapons. As he was not hurt by it, on the contrary, he was energised by it. His aura quickly increased two-fold. And the lightning sparkling around him did so as well. "Before you take care of the druid, elf. Is the Dreadnought still alive? That human's disposition towards this conflict worries me." Alastor spoke to Rabiyu, before the fight began, he had not followed the Dreadnought's actions during this war. Whether she had the time to answer or not, Alastor faced Rhaedyn down, he did not waver as the juggernaut approached, not did he step back. "I am Alastor, wielder of the stormruler and the blade of wind. Some call me the Storm Bringer. It is an honor to face you in battle...Rhaedyn Thane." Alastor spoke to Thane now, his voice sounding serious, but at the same time, respectful. He had heard Rumors of Thane's exploits, and fighting him genuinely made Alastor excited. "Im sure we will both enjoy this battle..." Alastor spoke, as he waited for Thane's move. ( Kilkis Side ) - Maxis - The Living Armor - Vs Everyth - This woman was impressive, she was still standing, and even managed to block most of his flurries during the illusion, she threw her sword at him, which was now embedded in his chestplaste. A minor nuisance, but now she had a wounded leg. As Maxis was still headless. Maxis was surprised by the fog Everyth casted, brimming with slow magic. Time mages were the worst, they would just slow you down and everything. Everyth lunged at him to attempt to take the sword back from his chest, and Maxis was slowed and couldn't react quick enough. She managed to get her sword back from his chest, but it allowed him to slam the ground with his fist, sending out a shockwave around him, dissipating the fog. As his movement came back to normal. "I'l say." Maxis commented as he casualy began to walk to where his helmet was. "Been a while since i've had this much fun." Maxis sarcasticaly commented as he grabbed his helmet. Rubbing off the dust with his hands before putting it back, a louch "Thumck" Could be heard as he place his helmet back in its rightful place. Maxis chuckled, "I don't think i've got your name? I wonder if you can fight with that wounded leg of yours" Maxis spoke to her, with a casual tone. Completely shifting the tone of the fight, as he did no attack towards her...not yet. Vaude 536 Posted August 23, 2017 (edited) - Reginald Heathertoes (NPC), Kilkes Seres, with Rhaedyn VS Rabiyu and Alastor - People. What was with people and all of their theatrics and flashy tricks? The druid did not really know a good answer to this after countless years of searching, but that did not stop him from concentrating on the task at hand. The shock troopers continued on, as he predicted, though they were a little bit smarter than what he assumed. That would not prevent his next move, however, as he smiled beneath the shade of twirling sands and entwined filthy hands into each other. The accumulated loose earth (loam, more specifically) produced by the mounds he sprouted from the ground started to move and take shape, gathering into a golem of great size. Stranger yet was that plants started to grow upon its surface, holding it together and forming a protective casing of roots around it. "Sic 'em, Veggiemound," he spoke under his breath, chuckling at his manner of naming things as he did so and rising to his feet. The golem would hound the shock troopers and attempt to plow through them with pinpoint attacks of spiny roots and thorns, all while attempting to avoid Kilkes Seres troops. Being animate and soulless, it also felt no heat from Rhaedyn's transformation of the battlefield. He moved closer to Rabiyu, seeing her well enough through the sand veil, and where he went the sand veil went also. "Miss Elf," he commented across the scape, "you and your friend are grievously mistaken for desiring to destroy the barrier. I should know. I assisted in its creation." He adjusted his glasses, the fickle things again falling down his tiny nose, and he continued once more. "All life is precious, but not everything is as black and white as you portray it. Shiva has the better understanding where Raiden falters. Sometimes we have to go against our better judgement to see the greater good and ensure it takes precedence." rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted August 23, 2017 {Mariel: Mystras Rebellion; Center Flank - vs Shiva} Mariel got some grim satisfaction from Shiva's reaction. So, she was doubting her own position. Her overreaction to Mariel's words said that loud and clear. "I know enough!" the Guardian Angel cried out. Eyeing Shiva's constructs, Mariel tensed her muscles for her counter attack. When the ice statues threw their spears, she leapt into the air, her wings beating mightily to keep her aloft. She took a hovering position for a moment as she slashed with Heaven's Flame, sending a wave of fire at two of the statues. She then dove for the other two, hitting one with a sonic scream, making sure to up the frequency to try and shatter it. the final construct the Fiery Haired Guardian Angel cleaved throught with both her blades. "I have protected and watched people for longer than you have lived, Queen Shiva!" Mariel yelled to her opponent, her voice sounding odd again after the scream. "And in that time, i have found whether human, Fey, or even angel, there are behaviors shared by all." Landing again, the Guardian Angel observed Shiva's tactic, but didn't try to stop her. If she wanted to trap Mariel in here, so be it. Mariel fostered a hope that Shiva wasn't beyond reason. And even if she was, keeping the leader of the enemy force occupied and away from her troops was a worthy enough goal. "I've seen leaders make decisions they regretted, ignoring their doubt instead of heeding it. Can you truly tell me that you do not have doubts? That every soldier out there dying in your name is doing so for a cause beyond question?"
Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted August 23, 2017 - Soren Monroe, Enforcer and Strategist of Mystras - Front Flank, V.S Basilisk!Helios - Soren's words had done damage to Helios and he was sure to feel its effects, as the now enraged Basilisk evaded his grab and sunk its teeth into Soren's arm. The bite was strong enough to pierce his rock-hard skin and the magma blood flowing through his veins did little to deter Helios, only providing a more visceral air to this attack. The former Warden had endured pain, but none this sudden and savage, his demonic and guttural screams of agony were loud and clear, amidst his gritted teeth and heavy breathing to try and endure it. Helios only let go for a few moments to rant and desperately justify his actions, before going back to his rage, seemingly attempting to rip Soren's arm out of its socket. The ex-warden could only hold onto Helios's face with his free hand in hope of at least reducing the force upon his wound. It was only when he could feel teeth upon his bone that Helios let go, now appearing distraught and now drowning in his own despair. Soren listened, reeling and clutching his arm in a shaken manner, his throes of pain were no comfort to anyone who witnessed the savagery, but his ears still caught all that Helios had to say. A few moments after Helios had concluded, Soren raised his head, his scornful glare an indication of his still potent anger as he raised himself back on his feet, still holding onto his wound. "There is always a choice, Helios. You just threw, agh, your options away..." Soren began approaching Helios, his steadily increasing wrath was evident, as every step he took melted the ground beneath it. "I knew my options! When I left the Shrine, I knew I could've gone back, either completely free or faced my crimes, or I could've pursued Raiden and his ambitions...just as you could've refused the Queen. I care not for whatever tribunal she put you through, you still! Had! The choice!" Soren threw his healthy arm to his side in emphasis of Helios's failure and his own contempt, his stomping still a slow pace, yet now Helios would feel his presence and torment as if it were his own. "I struggled...I almost couldn't decide...but...the one thing that pushed me to the side of Mystras...was Ren Mordecai." A small sigh escaped his lips, but it was a growl-laced exhale as Soren was now upon the Shapeshifter, looking him right in the eye. "And yet now, here you are, citing excuses and weeping for those who care not a wit for you." Soren practically spat in Helios's face, his venomous tone only worsened from there. "Your mercy earns no praise from anyone here...and they would be especially ungrateful upon learning how spineless you are." He knew now that if Helios wasn't more miserable, he would be enraged once more, but Soren didn't care as he grabbed Helios again, by his chest. "Now go ahead! Cement your fate! Take my life!!" With this, he would attempt to throw Helios to the ground and coat himself in flames as an invitation, gesturing outward with both arms as he bellowed once more. "Kill me, Helios! Taste my blood, there's NO going back!" In truth, Soren felt sorry for Helios and wanted to see just what he would do now...in a way, he'd be seeing himself if he were more of a fool than before...and he'd be willing to die to set Helios straight, or kill him trying. - Nergal, Remnant of Meksis, the Dormant and Hollow Wind - Kilkis Seres Left/Middle, V.S Henry Hansees - The power of the Dreadnought was remarkable, his entire Grand Cross attack was tanked by Henry...and then, it was thrown right back at Nergal, as a ground-based shockwave that Nergal only just dodged, but the force propelled him higher than he wanted, which stunned Nergal enough for Henry's Delayed Fireball to do a number on him, the searing heat blistered the skin on Nergal's hands and burns now made up most of his robe. If he lived against this behemoth, he'd have to fix that...but now, even that had become doubtful. The simple evaluation was getting out of hand. Nergal, however, remained undeterred, landing on his feet and relaxing out of his blocking stance, his arms to his side as he raised his head and stared at Henry...and began to chuckle. Soon after, Nergal was clapping, first slowly, then he quickly seemed delighted as he applauded the power of Henry. "Excellent, Henry, simply superb! Ahhh, your power is magnificent, I must say!" An almost jovial tone, Nergal spoke in. He internally thought it odd, but shook away the concern as he waltzed a little closer to Henry and extended his arms out to his sides slightly and slowly. "I admit my defeat, you have won this fight. But now I have to ask of you a favour: Survive this conflict and find me after the dust settles. We have much to discuss..." With this, Nergal gave a saluting-wave and dashed away at ludicrous speeds. The man was more resilient than he had implied with his admission of defeat as he took off towards the Healers of Kilkis Seres and by extension, the legendary Rhaedyn Thane, an Iron Lord of Old come back to fight for the Overworld and was now defending the healers. Good. Nergal needed tending to, though he'd be eager to lend a hand to the Lord of Iron. He slowed down beside him, seeing as he was to battle Alastor of Mystras, he gave a quick bow of respect. It was not feigned either, for Nergal simply had to respect one of his stature. "Lord of Iron, I've come to assist you in this battle, though I know you need it not. Your reputation, and legend, precede you, mighty one."
Stardustblade358 806 Posted August 23, 2017 - Helios - Front Flank - Side: Kilkis Seres (though wavering) - VS Soren - Every word hit Helios like a knife, and every time Soren stepped closer, the smaller Helios became, hunching, looking at Soren in the eyes. When he mentioned Ren, it all seemed to come crashing down, his figure shaking violently. Not because just because it hurt. But because dammit, Soren was right. He could've simply said no. He could've run away from Kilkis Seres and followed his human friends back. He could've demanded the same punishment as Ren. He could've done...anything else. But he didn't. He just accepted the given result, grateful that he was alive. Because...Because..."(Because I'm a god damn coward!)" Helios thought, wanting to disappear on the spot. To transform into a bird and fly away into the sky away from the problems. But he couldn't do that. Not now. Not again. Not anymore. Ariana was gone. Ren was gone. He remained, and why? For what reason? Was it destiny, or some sick twist of luck? His thoughts were pulled back when Soren grabbed him and threw him back down to the ground, causing him to stumble even in his basilisk form, where Soren offered him, insisted, dared for him to take his life. To kill him. Helios had never felt so much...was it fear, or what it shame? "I..." Helios could barely form anything. Soren was right. He was a coward. A useless coward. "I can't...!" Helios hissed, lowering his gaze as tears flowed down freely. In a puff of smoke, Helios' basilisk form shrunk, before Helios was shown back into his normal, Fey shape. He knelt on the floor, crying and sobbing as he gripped at his clothes. "I can't." Helios whispered again, not able to look at Soren in the eye. He was too ashamed. "You're right. You're right, you're right, you're right." Helios hissed. "I'm spineless. I'm a coward. I'm useless. We went down there and I couldn't do a damn thing to stop what was happening. I couldn't save Ariana even when I swore I would keep her safe. I didn't have the guts to demand of the queen to tell me what happened to Ren, or to even take me to him even if it's just an unmarked grave. I didn't have the guts to run away from the Queen or her orders or anything! I just sat there and sang gratefulness to the old ones for saving my life once more even though it's clear I damn well don't deserve it! I didn't deserve it then! I don't deserve it now! Even now I just keep spitting out excuses in hopes of convincing myself that I still deserve some justice...when it's clear that if anyone should've been punished, if anyone should've died long ago, from the three of us, it should've been me...!" Helios cried, sobbing as he gripped at his arms, gripping tightly on the long sealed scars. "I'm a coward because I can't kill. Every life is precious. Even after so much done, I can't come to hate humanity because it is our fault that they were pushed to the depravities that they went through. Even less, I can't possibly kill you. Not when your life is worth more than a dozen of mine would ever be." Helios said, finally lifting his gaze at Soren, though afraid of what he would fine. He was tired. Tired of living, of surviving, of this damn war...all he wanted was to turn back the clock. "I refuse to kill you...someone who was able to give comfort to Ren when I was nowhere near worth. This may be war, and I may have ended up on the wrong side of the coin, but I refuse to allow it to change me. I won't kill you. I won't kill anyone. Nor human or Fey." Helios' eyes narrowed at Soren. "I don't deserve to live, yet, I survived this far. I refuse to let Ariana and Ren's deaths to be in vain! I'm going to take down that damn barrier...even if it means to betray both sides to do it." 1 Nero Kunivas reacted to this
Endless Thundaga 533 Posted August 23, 2017 Dawson-Front flank calling a truce with Arthur Dawson was astonished to hear that Arthur doesn't see Jynn as an enemy. The human then asked for a truce between the two. Dawson paused. A truce? He then remembers his comment to not harm Arthur should the human not attack him. "I promised that no harm will come to you if you leave me be........." He paused, looking at the ground. He then looks back up to Arthur. "Very well. I accept your logic. We may not be on the same side, but we have a common enemy, and one I cannot deal with."
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted August 23, 2017 --Ren Mordecai-- Mystras: Left flank VS Meksis-- The redhead's mouth was set in a straight line, lowering his blade as he watched Meksis with an expression mixed with frustration and pity. "Deny it all you want, but it's the truth," he said bluntly. "The queen feeds everyone what they desire to hear, but it doesn't make it any more true. I won't back down and surrender, because I fight for what I believe in, and that is justice!" A cry escaped Ren as he raised his blade above his head with both hands, the wind from its edge along with his own magic pooling together to create a strong gale just waiting to be released. Before he did, however, Meksis went berserk, causing Ren's dark eyes to widen in shock. The enchanted armor seemed in agony, and it took a moment for the redhead to notice the protuberance emitting forth from his neck. Shocked and partly fearful, Ren released his charge of wind energy, which took form in a mini-cyclone about the width of three threes, soaring in the direction of his foe. And then, not knowing what to expect from his evolved enemy, he fled deeper into the battlefield. Ren's red locks whipped across his forehead and beat against his ears as his arms and legs pumped as quickly as he could muster them. Something was certainly awry with Meksis, and he wasn't particularly inclined to stick around and see what was going to happen. Whether Meksis would choose to follow or not, however, was another matter entirely. --Alderon Niles -- Mystras: Center flank VS Eclaire-- A cry escaped a royal knight briefly as his throat was slit, the sword of which immediately thrusted into the chest of another. Adrenaline pumped through Alderon's veins as he took down each knight foolish enough to charge his way. He hadn't even yet needed to use the electrical energy of the sword at his back rather than his waist. It was then that a rose-haired woman seemed to magically appear before him, though Alderon didn't appear alarmed by her appearance. He'd seen both Raiden and Alastor perform the same move--a flash-step. It seemed like a fancy magic trick to him, but he respected it. Upon Eclaire's arrival Alderon gave a hearty laugh and sheathed his sword, crossing his muscular arms over his heavily-armored chest. "Oh-ho, so I smell of madness, do I? Tell me, my dear, what does that even smell like? Is it perhaps a scent to the nostrils, or rather a sense in your mind that tells you that something is mad?" He slowly rode in circles around her, sizing her up. There was something unique about her, an aura he couldn't begin to place even if he wanted, but it felt odd, even to his human senses. "Perhaps I should introduce myself formally. I'm King Alderon of Sondon, a country which I hold dear in the world below that you and your queen have sentenced to destruction. It is not with pleasure that I shall have you pay with your blood, but if you stand between me and my people, I am afraid that I have no choice." He reached for his standard silver claymore at his waist, a very heavy yet sturdy weapon, and brandished it in front of him, getting in a defensive stance to brace himself for whatever was to come from the succubus. --Everyth Castanova -- Mystras: Right Flank VS Maxis-- Even as they spoke blood rolled down Everyth's thigh. She gritted her teeth despite the pain, and refused to show the enchanted armor weakness. She braced the hilt of her sword with both hands above her left shoulder, glaring upon Maxis as he spoke so casual and calmly. A streak of silver hair contrasted against Everyth's very-dark locks, which hadn't been there at the start of the battle. With all of her magical exertion, the rapid aging side effect of her magical infusion took place. Already she was physically in her thirties, though in reality she was only eighteen years of age. Who knew how many years this battle would place on her. "I hate people like you," she murmured darkly, eyes never leaving his helmet, sweat dripping down her pallid face. She lowered her weapon slightly, considering him before responding. "My name is Everyth Castanova. I am one of the very few mages of our world. I underwent an experiment alongside Henry Hansees, whom you may or may not have met. The experiment was meant to grant immense magical power and eternal life"--her gaze hit the ground, distraught written all over her face--"though only half worked and the rest backfired. I am here because, well, I love my home, and I want to see it prosper once again. "What about you, Sheet Metal? I understand now that you have no physical form outside of your armor. Who--and chiefly what--are you?" (Yes, this woman knows how to press a lot of buttons Perhaps that's why she's still single) --Elia Cabret -- Kilkis Seres: Right Flank-- A frown furrowed Elia's brows as Raleigh spoke, a fixed determination set on her small features. What she didn't expect, however, was Raleigh to use her bow as a ranged weapon and draw her close. Immediately Elia acted upon it, placing much stress on the bow to the point of possibly damaging or breaking it. She heard the scraping of metal, and she knew in that instant she was probably in a world of trouble. A fight or flight response flooded Elia's body as haste magic ran through her veins, causing her to narrowly miss the shamshir by slipping to the ground and out of its range. She scrambled away with immense speed, soaring into the sky several feet above the raven-haired human. She notched an arrow in her own bow, its tip glowing as she began to intensify its speed. Eventually she let it fly, hoping that it would hit its mark--or anywhere--upon Raleigh. --Queen Shiva -- Kilkis Seres Center Flank VS Mariel-- It slightly surprised the queen that Mariel countered her attacks, but didn't send forth those of her own. Perhaps the guardian angel preferred to use her tongue as a sword as opposed to an actual weapon, which, admittedly, was more effective on Shiva than she cared to admit. She shifted on her mount to stare at the angel coolly. "Then do you deny the Great War two-thousand years ago? The mere fact that humans were welcomed by the hand to share our land, only to decide to murder us all and take over? Many wars paint the history pages of their books, Angel. How then can you stand up for them and claim that we share behaviors?!" Shiva twisted her hands in a complicated pretzel, and in their vicinity it began to rain ice pellets. At first they were golf-ball sized, but then grew into large boulders. The attack seemed to entirely avoid Shiva's vicinity, which glowed a with a pale blue aura. Once the ice storm ceased the queen rode closer ever so slightly, though on her face was . . . fear. "And what if I've already lost what I've sought to protect?" she asked, voice barely more than a whisper. "What if there's nothing left to fight for . . . but survival?" 1 Nero Kunivas reacted to this
Stardustblade358 806 Posted August 23, 2017 - Arthur - Front Flank - Side: Rebellion of Mystras - VS Dawson - For a moment, Arthur smiled softly. "See? Hey, maybe after the war, we can hang out some time? You seem like a fun person to hang around with...when you're not trying to kill me." Arthur said, chuckling a bit as his cheerful persona once more showed through, even in the dire situations. There was a shouting as a random soldier ran straight at Arthur. Arthur didn't really move much, instead waiting for the very last second before slamming his shield into the soldier's face as he ran right into it, sending the soldier to fall back in pain and most likely a broken nose and a few lose teeth. "Don't be so reckless, either. You're the prince's friend, aren't you? I bet he would become very saddened to see you die. So live on for him and your people. Make them both proud." Arthur turned, facing away from him. "Well, I guess I'll get going and fight someone else...good luck. Don't go wasting your 8 lives now!" Arthur said, waving at Dawson as he then ran off, slowly disappearing among the fray of war. He hoped that they could be friends once this war was over...if they ended up both surviving it in the end.
Elrandir 783 Posted August 24, 2017 - Rabiyu - Rebellion of Mystras - between center and right flank -Rabiyu listened to everything that Rhaedyn had to say, which was not that important, not to her, not now."Yes, he is alive, at least for now," she answered Alastor, "I feel that the human needs to learn some restraint, if he wants to survive."Apparently the Iron Lord had plans to fight against Alastor alone, which was fine to him and, in turn, was fine for the Elf. Instead, she focused on the druid, the change around the battlefield, and whatever he was doing, the newly formed golem was something she wasn't expecting. "We both agree that life is precious, Master Druid, but unlike late King Alexander and Queen Shiva, we want to help the world below to prosper and make it thrive and be filled with life once again," she said to the strange druid, "I agree that not everything is black and white, but different shades of grey. We fight for what we believe is right, and that is to destroy the barrier."The Northern Elf raised her hand towards the golem, some of the shock troopers noticed that and moved away from the creature."The Queen has lost everything except for her reason to keep the barrier active. She is nothing more than an empty husk, clinging to an outdated reasoning left behind by her father." Rabiyu said while turning towards the golem, "Vos yolos do laas kos evenaar, ahrk krah mahlov do dinok mah avok nahl. .. Iizgein!"She clenched her hand into a fist, after a couple of seconds the air around them began to get colder and colder, what Rabiyu was trying to do was to freeze the golem on the spot, giving the shock troopers time to keep moving towards their target.Rabiyu looked back at Alastor and noticed that another enemy was there alongside Rhaedyn, things were taking a turn for the bad at this point in time, which was not THAT surprising, she was sure that Kilkis Seres' best warriors were not the ones that were dying in the front, but instead remained on the back. She was going to support Alastor, but ultimately decided against it."Your arcane energy feels familiar, Master Druid, but I cannot remember why or when I felt it before," she said to Reginald while taking out her bow and pointing an arrow towards him, "I suppose it is not important. Not now, anyways."A blue orb with runes appeared in front of the arrow before getting absorbed by it. Rabiyu then shot the arrow towards the druid, even if the arrow didn't made contact with the target, it was going to blow into a powerful explosion of ice, freezing anything close to the impact. Saber Lily 1,543 Posted August 24, 2017 (edited) https://youtu.be/gHd6nluIjWE Eclaire Tonnerre, vs Alderon "It is the scent of your very lifeforce, oh King of Sondon." His claymore was massive. She would have a definite advantage in range and speed, especially if she kept switching weapons on him...but he was a King. Never underestimate them. She gripped In Paradisum, entering a combat stance. "And I hold Queen Shiva very dear. And as such, the only blood that will be spilt to the drop is your own." She let him ride around. He could assume that he had the advantage on horseback, but no...no, in fact he was wholly unprepared for this fight. But she refused to ever underestimate her foes. If anything, that was what her mother taught her. "And to spill my blood is to spill the blood of three. The blood of a Valkyrie, the blood of a Succubus...and the blood of Shiva." She twirled her spear. "In Paradisum Second Configuration - Valkyric Charge!" She leapt up and threw her spear into the ground, causing an explosion. She rode the shockwave up, and summoned to her hand Kusanagi, the Blade of the Wind. The woman now descended down, ready to strike. "We all have choices! And this is mine! I will do everything I can to stay at Shiva's side, even if you must cease to live!" She roared, slashing at Alderon as she came down, fully expecting a block. Rhaedyn Thane vs Alastor, backed by Nergal Rhaedyn Thane did not regard Nergal, merely holding his weapons at the ready. "My legend begets those I led, and an end I could not overt. Today is my redemption." He hefted Dawnmourne and threw his flaming axe right at Alastor, then charged with his sword. "Those who murder healers have no good within their souls." He blade flashed at Alastor, biting frost echoing from the blade as the Lord of Iron brought down flaming judgement, and frost-filled justice, upon Alastor. "In the snow there hunts the wolves, of which I am the Alpha." Edited August 24, 2017 by Sabre Lily
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted August 24, 2017 (edited) (Mystras) - Henry - The Dreadnought - Between right and center - Henry could do nothing but stare at Nergal as the man nonchalantly landed on his feet and began applauding him. 'Whats with this guy?' Henry thought as he allowed Nergal to speak, in his cultured tone of his. Henry was almost kneeling, as he was still recovering from the strain of using the armor multiple times in quick succession and sending Nergal's attack back at him. As Nergal waltzed towards him Henry maintained himself at a distance with his sword pointing at Nergal. Nergal quickly began speaking, admitting defeat, praising and asking Henry to survive this war...and meet him afterwards? What was all that about? This left Henry confused, very confused. "What are you- HEY!" Henry spoke as Nergal took his leave, dashing away at speeds faster than the normal man's eye could see. "Dammit" Henry spoke, frustrated. 'What just happened?' 'I have no idea'. 'He told you to look for him after this...' 'He could've been more specific...' Henry took a few moments to catch his breath, as he looked in the distance, trying to see how the shock troop was advancing. Halted...by a golem...which was apparently frozen. Rabyiu seemed to be handling herself against a Druid. He could not see Alastor, however. Henry sheathed his sword, as he launched into a sprint. Rock particles attaching to his legs and arms as he started to pick up some speed. Soon enough he jumped towards the golem, launching himself towards it, fists raised. As he delivered a powered, flying haymaker to its chest area, taking advantage that it was frozen and vulnerable. He'd crumble the golem before it could recover from Rabiyu's magic, allowing passage for the troopers. "ONWARDS!" Henry spoke, emerging from the smoke of the clash, unsheathing his sword, as he pointed it towards the enemy flank. Many war cries were followed by his fellow troopers. The attack would not be slowed down. - Alastor - The Storm - Facing down Rhaedyn and Nergal - Alastor noticed the new, mysterious figure appearing beside Rhaedyn, speaking and praising the latter, this caused Alastor to frown under his helmet. "Who are yo-" Alastor was about to ask who Nergal, but he quickly moved his body to the side, no dashing just good old sidestepping, dodging Rhaedyn's flaming axe. "Whatever you say..." Alastor replied to Rhaedyn's comments about evil as the latter charged at him with his frost sword. Alastor met the Lord of Iron's wrath Head on, clashing his swords with the man's frost blade. As they locked blades, Alastor held Rhaedyn's strenght back without major trouble. "Call me whatever you wish" Was all Alastor said as he took a step back, as he vanished in a streak of lightning, and reappearing beside Rhaedyn. Quickly slashing at him with double slash with his twin blades, with not only lightning magic, but also high powered wind and enhanced strength within his blades. This was to ensure that he could penetrate some of Rhaedyn's heavy armor. ( Kilkis Seres) - Maxis - Ze Living Armor - Vs Everyth - "I love you too!" Maxis cheerfuly replied to Everyth's bitter statement. Maxis listened intently as Everyth told him, his name, where she came from, and why she has her magic, since. As far as he knew, humans weren't supposed to wield magic, they were bad enough as it is. But with magic? THat'd be bad. As Everyth finished her story Maxis brought a hand to his helmet's chin. "Ah, I get it. Your powers affect you on a physical level, that would explain your hair getting older, so its safe to say human bodies can't perfectly adapt to Fey's magic powers...Oh boy Ivany's gonna want to know this. "Look, let me get this straight" Maxis spoke, clearly now. "I understand the ploy of your world, and if It were up to me, i'd take away the barrier and freely coexist with you humans...but that is not my decision to make." Maxis explained his situation. in an honest to god kind tone. "Next question. You wanna know who, and how I became the beautiful man that I am today?" Maxis spoke in a sarcastic tone as he laughed. "Short story, I was once a young man, who killed a very bad being, this very bad being's soul posessed him, I died. And before my body could be fully reanimated by the being I killed, our combined souls were put into this armor!" Maxis spoke, beating his chest as he did so. "Now..." Maxis began, as he disappeared in shadow and reappeared behind Everyth. with both his hands on her Shoulders before she could say anything. "Did you say...Henry Hansees? The so called...Dreadnought?" Maxis spoke, with clear bloodlust rising in his aura, even Everyth could feel its uncomfortable presence. "Would you happen to know where he is? Pretty please?" Maxis asked Everyth, like a little kid. Edited August 24, 2017 by Scrapmaster
Endless Thundaga 533 Posted August 25, 2017 Jynn Venas-Front flank VS Raiden What Raiden says makes the prince think about something. Raiden and the humans think that this barrier is what is causing those who reside in the world below. But what if it was something else? He looks back to the leader of Mystras. "You know, I've been thinking lately........ do you really think the barrier itself is what is causing the suffering of the world below and the humans? I think it's that my mother refuses to help or provide resources to them that is causing them to suffer, not the barrier. A barrier is just meant to prevent unwanted intruders in both worlds, and CLEARLY there are paths that can bypass it, proven by the humans that ally with you now, and the three young feys captured by the humans. So your arguments of this barrier causing the suffering of those in the world below us is technically invalid." He gives Raiden a stern look. "I think what you're supposed to be looking for is my mother's support for the humans, but you know that she never will." After Raiden insists that Jynn, Shiva, and their army leave, the prince raises an eyebrow, but he preforms a quite honest looking bow. "I would gladly arrange a surrender with my mother............... But........." He raises himself back up and calls fourth his second sword in his left hand, while the first awakens the ancient power of the dragon it was forged from. ".... I can't risk you possibly trying to stab us in the back if we do, now can I?" His second sword begins to levitate and spin in front of the prince with the first behind him (in a stance exactly like Master Form Sora's). Thought since both Jynn and Raiden are electric users, this theme would be fitting!
Vaude 536 Posted August 26, 2017 (edited) - Lord Raiden, Mystras, Left Flank, VS Jynn - The ruler of Mystras waited as patiently as he was able for Jynn to finish, hoping to find some sense in the boy. He found that sense, but it was fairly hidden from his eyes through the murk of provoking commentary. Was this boy trying to persuade him or egg him on? The promise he made to Shiva those weeks before seemed more and more difficult to keep, but he kept his cool throughout all of this. "You hit the nail on the head in one area," he commented without mirth. "This is about more than the barrier's removal. The lack of resources is the crux of the problem, and Shiva's support is pivotal to a peaceful resolution to the world below's problems. However, I attempted beseeching your mother's support and was spurned. I tried to act upon reason and she strained inaction and sitting on one's hands until she declared war on me." Raiden shook his head and tightened his grip on his sword, aggravated by the memory. His eyes focused intently on Jynn's, all desire to read the young man's mind gone. "To Shiva, personal history only has merit when it concerns her own people, but I can see you are not up to talk. War is on your mind. You seek to fight me? To defeat me? Know your place, boy." Grabbing his sword from the ground with one hand, Raiden twirled the weapon around and allowed his free hand to slide across the length of the blade three times. Each time his hand touched its golden fuller, the blade lost a small portion of its weight due to the imbued weight-reduction magic, and the speed of its rotation quickened. Incredible range, incredible speed, and incredible defense -- if Jynn did not put his heart into the fight, significant danger awaited him if Raiden could engage in close-quarters combat with him. "Come, crown prince!" he roared in challenge. "Try your best!" - Raleigh Marin, Mystras, Left Flank, VS Elia - Raleigh had to admit that the girl was both quick-witted and quick. Her maneuver with the bow was unforseen but quickly countered by Elia, and the attempted slice made by the shamshir missed its mark entirely. Furthermore the fairy took to the air and unleashed an arrow whose tip was aglow with something uncanny. Raleigh feared the worst and tried two simultaneous attempts to evade the arrow, slipping to the side and deflecting the arrow with the flat edge of her shamshir, but neither worked. The arrow was fast and managed to bite into her left calf, causing the assassin to cry out in pain. That was not a good start to an archer duel. Her mobility was limited now, and the healers were far away. Tossing the shamshir onto the ground close by, the weapon now useless unless Elia attempted to get into close-range combat again, Raleigh reached for a new arrow from the quiver on her hip and pulled the bowstring to its fullest extent without overdrawing. The last thing she needed was to lose the effectiveness of her other weapon, and the bow sung a new note, pitched higher with more twang as if desperate for a hit, as Raleigh aimed for the right wing or shoulder. An eye for an eye, mobility for mobility. - Reginald Heathertoes (NPC), Kilkes Seres, Right Flank, VS Rabiyu and Henry - It surprised Reggie to see the elf attempt to freeze the golem in place before concentrating on him, but he was not liable to complain, not when he can get to witness her fighting style and advance a little closer to her. The sand-strewn wind still swirled around him like a vortex, and through it he could see an imbued arrow being fired at him, which was easily blocked by a swing of his right wrist and the amassed sand gathered to set it off halfway between Rabiyu and himself. The blast may have frozen the sand and made it less malleable, as well as some of the sand particles around him, but overall it was ineffective. The sound of crumbling rock behind him, however, made him raise a brow. Some muscle-headed individual slammed into the middle of the golem before it could recover, collapsing its main body, but the vegetation around the rest of it, even while frozen, was very much alive and well. Smirking, he stretched out a hand towards Henry and closed his fist, aiming to encapsulate him in the greenery. Some of the plants had sleep-inducing poison on their thick, thorny vines, and if Henry was not too careful about the exposed portion of him he could get pricked and be minorly tranquilised. "And now for you," he murmured under his breath, facing Rabiyu again with a set of hand movements. "First up . . . Peel Earth. Second up . . . Reverse Gravity: Three Diamonds." If Rabiyu were paying attention to her surroundings, three diamond-like striations were formed in the ground around her, followed shortly by said ground being lifted into the air as if gravity reversed itself. However, these three mounds of earth were not meant for attack. At least, not just yet. If anything, they were a scare tactic as well as a distraction for what was to come. rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted August 26, 2017 (edited) {Mariel: Mystras Rebellion; Center Flank - vs Shiva} Mariel's face hardened at Shiva throwing the Great War at her. "Don't talk to me about the war!" She yelled, her voice thundering in the enclosure. "My friends and fellow Legionaries died for your lands and people. And then your father abandoned what was left of us to die with the humans when he made that barrier! He let his fear override his honor, just like the humans!" In her fury, Mariel ignored the gathering ice storm. The first few pellets hit her before she reacted by forming a new shield from Bright Guard. The barrier managed to take dozens of hits, holding up better against blunt force trauma than the piercing nature of the ice spears, but it was still weakening. But by then, the Guardian Angel was ready. As the barrier failed, she let out a war cry, her swords spinning at blurring speed around her. She began to glow as she slashed pellets out of the air, trails of fire from Heaven's Flame melting ice that got close. Despite her tactics, she was still taking hits, but managed to keep full sized pellets from getting a direct hit. As the storm died down, Mariel didn't slow down. She kept swinging her swords in arcs as light collected on the blades. When the storm completely stopped, she turned and in rapid succession sent four slashes of light at Shiva, the two from Heaven's Flame were wreathed in fire. "The blood of thousands of angels are on your father's head for abandoning them to a needless death!" The Fiary Haired Angel thundered, finally coming to a stand still. "I have met generations of humans who had more honor than that!" Steam seemed to come off Mariel as the ice around her started melting. Though she continued to glow, her injuries were starting to show up. Blood came out of her nose and a large bruise was forming on her jaw. There were a few bloodstains in her white wings and her armor had a few new dents. "This is your final warning, your majesty." The Guardian Angel said in a lower tone, but one that promised a storm was not far off. "Prove yourself to not be your father and end this now, or accept the vengeance due him!" Endless Thundaga 533 Posted August 26, 2017 Dawson-Front flank Dawson watches as Arthur continues his fight, leaving Dawson with some reassuring words. He couldn't help but chuckle. "Well...... I'll be there for the prince as much as I can man.........." Just then, a random heavyweight soldier tries to jump on the palico in an attempt to crush him. Dawson's claws jut out of his paw, and he simultaneously slides out of the way, while also slashing the soldier's face. The man lands with a thud and let out a yell in pain. "OW! That hurt!" Dawson sighed. "Really, a little scratch hurts you? Why are you even here then?" The soldier faces Dawson with three large gashes on his face. "I...... I was forced to!" The palico rolls his eyes. "That makes both of us....." He then turns his axe sideways and hits the man's face with it like a golf club, rendering the soldier unconscious. He too continues on with his own fight. Elrandir 783 Posted August 26, 2017 - Rabiyu - Rebellion of Mystras - between center and right flank -Rabiyu watched Reginald with some interest, she was also slightly impressed that The Dreadnought managed to destroy the golem. She extended her arms and water began to gather in three giant orbs above her. What caught the Elf's attention was what the Druid was doing, meaning, the three mounds of earth."...Interesting..." she thought, "...I must wait..."And then those thoughts came back. "Slay them, slay them all." "The black and pitch and fire, so burning." "So bright and hot, screams and fire.". She had to maintain focus, it was the middle of a fight, after all. All of the blood spilled around the battlefield was something that was making her excited, but also making her doubt her well being. For the time being, she was going to wait to see what the Druid had in store.- Sifrei Mond and Aeternum Siblings - Rebellion of Mystras - Center Flank -The Siblings were getting tired, the werewolf was getting beaten, and yet he always came back, he could heal himself very quickly, but even that ability needed to have a limit."This is ridiculous!" Aura said, "every time we think he is down he gets back up!"Aurion and Sifrei were in front of Aura, mostly for protection since Fenrir apparently took interest in her for being the weakest of the three."I will raise again and again until all of you lay lifeless on the ground," Fenrir said while walking in circles around the group, "And I will start with her."The older sibling looked at his sister then back at the fey, his eyes narrowing a little."Over my dead body," Aurion replied flatly, "You will go down first."Fenrir lunged at Aura, only to be stopped by Sifrei who was being pushed back thanks to the werewolf's superior strength."Give it up, Angel," Fenrir said with a smirk on his face, "I will have her life, and then I will have yours too!" Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted August 27, 2017 (edited) - Henry - The Dreadnought - Breaking Seres's left and middle flank's defenses - The Golem went down without a hitch, and no damage to Henry or any shock troopers as well. This would be almost a success...if it weren't for the plants that started to wrap around Henry. they tangled around his legs, he was slowed down more on surprise, not because they were strong. They were, by all means, but not nearly as strong as they should be to stop him. "Great. Plants." Henry commented as the plants began to envelop him. He maitained himself calm, as it was easy to panic when you were getting encapsulated in something. Still, one thorny vine did sneak a prick on his left arm. Which surprised him, as he had not hardened his skin since he did not perceive it as a major threat, that exact moment he hardened it and stopped many other thorns from piercing his skin. Whoever was doing this...didn't knew he had fire, that was for sure. Henry began to materialize his armor, as intense heat began piling and accumulating within it and around it. Even with so many plants, they were starting to burn from just touching him, "Flare" Henry muttered as he released the heat energy he accumulated in a bright show of fire, emananating in a localized explosion, with the radius being of around 7 meters around him. Rather small, however. the entire vegetation in these seven meters was completely disintegrated, and only barren, burnt land remained. Luckily, no soldiers were caught in the blast. If Henry saw any more plants or obstacles, he'd take care of them, he had to finish this push. A Seres infantry soldier ran up at him with a sword, taking a swing at him, to which Henry blocked with his left arm, to his surprise his arm was pushed back, surprising him, and the soldier. Who quickly got a punch to the gut and a choke slam by Henry. Who took advantage of it. 'Uuh. That wasn't supposed to happen.' 'Sleeping poison, that thorn that pricked your arm.' 'Makes sense, i'l be more careful' Henry looked back at Rabyiu, before returning his gaze to the enemies in front of him and his allies. The next push, they would punch through and reach the healers. Endless Thundaga 533 Posted August 27, 2017 Jynn Venas-Front flank VS Raiden Raiden finally raises his sword from the ground, and begins to spin it with incredible speed. This doesn't intimidate Jynn at the least, but it does make him more aware of Raiden's movements. A sword that can lessen it's weight........ interesting....... He grabs his levitating sword by the hilt. Although Raiden may be powerful, even more so than Jynn, he would be a fool to underestimate the prince, as the noble is smart and cunning. This is proved by Jynn's first action. He hurls the Waking Leviathan (see spoiler below) at him. But that was not all, he knew that Raiden might take the bait and close the gap between them, so he creates four dark red orbs with his other blade, La Justicère. The orbs begin to orbit him, protecting him from anyone trying to get too close. It would be impossible to get within sword's length without sustaining damage. But the prince knows that this effect won't last for long, so he uses this short time to study Raiden's movements carefully. Regardless if the Waking Leviathan strikes Raiden or not, it returns to Jynn's left hand. He could not do such tricks with La Justicère, as it was not magically bound to him like the other blade is, so he makes sure he has a firm grip on its hilt. So many things can go wrong in this battle, but Jynn remains calm and focused, he truly has no fear, especially of Raiden. La Justicère is Jynn's dragon powered sword, while Waking Leviathan is the sword Jynn used in the beginning of the RP. I felt like I need to differentiate the two blades.
