The guards stared wordlessly as Dawson began to do the hula, though both had a hand on their katanas.  Before they could give chase, however, they were tackled and killed without even the slightest resistance.  The hill upon which Isopolis sat grew silent upon the deafening fall of the armored men, scaring a cluster of crows that fled the deadened trees.

The gates are unlocked, granting entrance to the two parties.  You notice that infiltrating the forbidden shrine has been very easy, oddly so.  Was it intended?  Or had the path already been cleared?  Regardless, you are now inside.

The room that you enter is circular, with green flames sitting atop steel torches lining the walls.  There are three doors before you, each labeled with a name.  The center door is labeled “Gaspar,” the leftmost door “Melchior,” while the remaining door on the right is labeled “Balthasar.”  A scroll is dangling on the wall beside you.  It reads:

Three gurus, Balthasar, Melchior, and Gaspar, are talking to each other about the art collection of Kronos. Balthasar says: "Kronos has at least four paintings of Rembrandt." Melchior says: "No, he has less than four paintings of Rembrandt." "According to me," says Gaspar, "Kronos has at least one Rembrandt.”

If you know that only one of the three gurus is right, how many Rembrandts does Kronos possess?

- Arthur & Helios - /w Isopolis Infiltration Team - Isopolis Shrine -

Arthur and Helios entered into the room cautiously, looking around for any traps or enemies. The green flames only make it look and feel more eerie than without then. Helios remained in his Basilisk form, sniffing the room before transforming back into his human form. Arthur tilted his head. Three doors. Three names. A story to match and guide them. They would have to choose one, and that would decide their fate. What lay on the other side of the doors...well, that was for them to find out. Arthur began to read over the passage, staring at it. "One of them is right...but which one is it?" Arthur murmured, narrowing his eyes. "We don't even know who this Kronos is." Arthur rubbed the back of his head. "Is it a Fey history thing?" He asked, looking around. Helios tilted his head. "There is no scent to follow, either." He added, looking up at the riddle. He hummed, crossing his arms. "It's one." Helios spoke. He looked at the group. "The question asks us how many Rembrandts does Kronos possess. Not how many paintings of it. Therefore, the answer would be Gaspar, to which according to him, there is only one." Helios explained. Arthur nodded. "Yeah...I can see how that can work. It would be a play on words! Forcing the reader to reread and look back on what they had previously read!" Arthur explained. Helios hummed, turning his attention to Gaspar's door. "My answer is Gaspar."

- Rabiyu, Aura and Sifrei - Isopolis Entrance -

It was a shame, the soldier that had been attacked by the cyph was gone, healing magic would do nothing to bring back the dead. Perhaps he was already in the presence of the Pale Mistress. Rabiyu glanced at the pink haired girl and her sudden change in behavior regarding the prince. She didn't realy knew the girl that well, only that she was the retainer of Shiva at some point, so it was not very important to her. Since the fey soldier was already dead she stood up and saw that the doors to the forbidden shire were already opened, Sifrei already taking a look inside.

"It seems safe," he said as the elf walked next to him, "circular room, three doors, green flames. Nothing else."

The two judges moved closer to inspect the scroll dangling on the wall. After a couple of seconds Aura stopped next to them, also reading the scroll.

"Three gurus...art collection...at least four...less than four...at least one...What does that mean? A riddle of some sort?" Aura whispered as she heard Helios and Arthur's explanation, "I can see how that could work. Someone would try to confuse the person trying to solve the riddle."

Both Rabiyu and Sifrei kept staring at the scroll, their minds trying to find meaning to the words that were on that scroll. Sifrei glanced at Rabiyu and kept doing it for a few moments, until the elf turned her head slightly.

"Did you solved the riddle already, Sifrei?" Rabiyu asked the Archangel.

"I did, I think. If you read the words vey carefully then the answer will come, eventually."

"So...are Helios and Arthur right?" Aura asked Sifrei.

"I'm afraid that I will have to say that their answer would be incorrect." Sifrei answered Aura.

"Allow me to explain," Rabiyu said calmly,

The three gurus are talking about Kronos' art collection, correct? Balthasar says that Kronos has at least four paintings, while Melchior says he has less that four. Gaspar, who Helios and Arthur think is the correct answer, says Kronos has at least one Rembrandt, yes? The next part is the most important. "If you know that only one of the three gurus is right, how many Rembrandts does Kronos possess?" Well, if only one guru can be right, then that would mean that if Balthasar says that Kronos has at least four paintings, then Gaspar would also be right, as he thinks that Kronos has at least one. That's two gurus being right. If Gaspar is the right answer then it would mean that Balthasar would be correct too, as he thinks that Kronos has at least four paintings, while Melchior would also be correct as he thinks Kronos has less than three. That would mean that the three gurus would be right."

"You did payed attention, my friend," Sifrei said while smiling,

"So, if the first option means that two gurus are correct, and the second one means that the three are right then the last one, Melchior, would be the correct answer. You see, if Kronos has one to three paintings, more than one guru will be right, but if Melkior says that there is none, which, technically, would mean less than four, then neither Balthasar nor Gaspar would be right, leaving only only one guru with the right answer.

Aura nodded at the lengthy explanation from the two judges, more confused than ever with their reasoning.

Answer

"So, our answer is that Melchior is the guru who is in the right, and the answer of how many Rembrandts does Kronos possess is that he does not possess a single Rembrandt." Rabiyu and Sifrei said at the same time, hoping that their answer was correct.

(I spent all my time at work thinking about this riddle, even asked some of my friends for help, which was even worse since we were all confused. I am awful at riddles xD)

Jynn and Bherna-Isoplolis

As soon as Henry mentions the Queenslayer’s presence, Jynn’s interest peaks. He is here? Finally, I can avenge you, mot- “Oof!” He was suddenly tackled by none other than Shiva’s retainer, Eclaire. Shocked, Bherna summons a glaive, placing the blade near Eclaire’s neck in an attempt to save Jynn. “Let my father go!” Jynn recognizes its Eclaire and gestures to Bherna to stop. “Stand down Bherna.” She lowers her weapon, but she does not withdraw it. Eclaire gets up and starts lecturing Jynn. Apparently she has made a promise to his mother to keep watch over him. He tries to calm her down. “Eclaire, tone it down a bit will you? Right now is not the time to be loud. I get the message, Shiva wanted you to make sure I’m safe, I get it. I had no idea you made such a promise, so cut me some slack.”

The group head inside and are immediately placed in a circular room with three doors. On the side, a scroll reads “Three gurus, Balthasar, Melchior, and Gaspar, are talking to each other about the art collection of Kronos. Balthasar says: "Kronos has at least four paintings of Rembrandt." Melchior says: "No, he has less than four paintings of Rembrandt." "According to me," says Gaspar, "Kronos has at least one Rembrandt.”

If you know that only one of the three gurus is right, how many Rembrandts does Kronos possess?”

Immediately, Helios and Arthur seem to catch on to the riddle, stating that Gaspar is the correct guru. However, Rabiyu and Silfrei make very valid points as well, stating Melchior is correct. Jynn places a hand on his chin. “I’m inclined to agree with Helios and Arthur and say Gaspar is the correct guru. It asks how many Rembrandts Kronos possesses, not how many paintings of Rembrandts he possesses.” He then faces back to the scroll. “But Rabiyu and Silfrei do have a point. If only one could be correct, then Melchior might be it, if their explanation is true.” He pauses. This is a very tricky riddle, and one he does not want to get incorrect. “Give me a few minutes to think about it more. Let’s hear what everyone thinks.......”

Eclaire - Isopolis

Eclaire slumped. "I know you didn't. Still..." She stood and followed. "I made a promise...d-don't make it hard for me to keep, alright?" she asked softly. Having mostly ignored Bherna's threats, not really threatened by her at the moment, she stuck close to Jynn, the sword on her back seeming to weigh heavier. Was it because she was so close to Jynn? To Nergal? She didn't know. All she did know...was screw riddles.

Frowning, she looked at the riddle quietly. Melchior, Gaspar, Balthasar...

Answer:

"The scroll is asking how many Rembrandts, not how many paintings. I say Gaspar, as he's the only one who doesn't say paintings of Rembrandt, but how many Rembrandts. So...yeah...I say Gaspar is correct. One."

{Mariel: Isopolis}

Mariel followed Sifrei in expecting trouble. She found it in the worse form.

"Riddles." She muttered with disdain under her breath.

Give her foes to fight. Or some obvious death traps. But these little word games were just the worse. As others tried to puzzle out the meanings, the Guardian Angel moved to each door in turn, trying to catch any sense of what was beyond. She doubted she would find anything out, but maybe who ever designed this would turn out to be too clever for their own good. As she tried to gain a sense of what was beyond the doors, she half listened to the others debate riddles. She paused in her circuit to consider.

"Not exactly my forte, but I've got to agree with Rabiyu and Sifrei." Mariel commented. "We need a singular answer, and several of the answers agree with each other. So, it's probably Malchior."

Rubbing her chin, she considered the other common answer people were coming to.

"But if we are looking at Rembrandts and not painting of Rembrandt, wouldn't that imply that they are different? In which case, we actually don't know how many Rembrandts there are as only Gaspar speaks of them and he could be wrong."

"Gah! I hate riddles!" The Guardian Angel growled before going back to her investigation of the doors.

- Odin, at Isopolis with the rest of the gang -

Odin followed silently behind, admiring the elegant craftsmanship of the building as he went along with the rest of the group.  Three doors, all tastefully decorated by lovely labels regarding the three gurus and the riddle posed towards everyone.  A smirk rose into being as he read it thoroughly.

"A logic puzzle in the guise of a mathematics question -- an interesting challenge," he gave voice to those who wanted to hear, internalising it all before coming up with an answer.  "If looking at the riddle as three sets of three possibilities of trues and falses, it is simple.

"If the number is zero, statement B is false, M is true, and G is false.

If the number is one to three, statement B is false, M is true, and G is true.

If the number is four or more, statement B is true, M is false, and G is true.

"As zero is the only number which can have only one guru be right, the answer lies with Melchior."

- Rufus, at Isopolis with the rest of the gang -

Rufus pooh-poohed the ornate scroll that everybody seemed entranced by, and merely hovered around close to the doors and searched around them as he zipped about.  Nothing really stood out.  No footsteps could be seen, and no trace of life passing through the halls could be observed.  Still, it was a challenge, and he was bound and determined to solve it while the others were caught up with the ballyhoo of an aged scroll.

~Aqua: Isopolis, Shrine of the Holy Plot Device~

Aqua walked over to the dead guard closet to the shrine She bent down and closed the soldier's eyes. She whispered a quiet prayer to hopefully honor the three fallen fye. Once she finished she got up and walked inside. “Those soldiers were innocent.” She glared and Jynn. “Aren’t you a leader? A leader uses diplomacy before force!” She shook her head and sighed. She then looked at Elia. “You okay, friend?” She moved next to her. “I know you must be stressed and mad, but please don’t let that blind your judgment.” She wished she had a chance to talk to Elia more privately about this, but at the moment that would have to do. She gripped her staff tightly and looked over toward the scroll. “It’s just a riddle. Just a riddle.” She closed her eyes and calmed herself down before she said. “I hate riddles.” She didn’t need to say more since she would just wait until everyone else agreed upon an answer.

-Henry, Typhon, Alastor and Alicia - IsoPlotolis -

It didn't take long for them to enter the Shrine, apparently the guards were weak enough to not survive the blows from Henry and Typhon which were meant to knock them out, not kill them. Talk about good security, Typhon chuckled. "Wait so they died from just that?" Typhon asked, as he tapped Soren's shoulder. "What the hell type of guards have you been hiring in your time here?" Typhon had to snark at Soren, he just had to, something compelled him to. Hell, and he enjoyed it even, as morbid or sadistic as it was.

Soon enough they were at the puzzles, and before long, it seemed like they had solved things already. However Henry put a hand on his chin for a few seconds.

"Wait read what Gaspar wrote again, he said he has at least ONE rembrandt, not more, not less. so in a sense he'd still be wrong if we counted to two or three, but less than four. That makes Zero, Two and Three the key numbers here if we follow that train of through, so the ones with Zero were right on the money with their answers."

"Precisely..." ALicia spoke, had already thought of almost the same as the Dreadnought, Alastor simply kept his guard up, checking his surroundings at every moment.  As Typhon simply Leaned his back against a wall and waited for everyone else to do something...anything.

- Soren Monroe, Servant of Shiva's Will - Isopolis, The First Trial: A Goddamn Riddle -

The guards perished from their wounds, despite Typhon and Henry only seeking to disable and wound, rather than pulverise and destroy. Though with how unnaturally strong the pair of them were, Soren figured them for prime candidates for opening a particularly tough jar of jam, while also fighting off a small army of manticores without really trying.

"You couldn't even fight one such creature, Soren. And he was a skilled shapeshifter, don't build them up too much, now."

Soren's internal rebuttal silenced his mind, before meeting Typhon's shoulder tap with a turn to face him. "Clearly, ones who are...ineffectual, at best. Hmm..." Soren folded his arms for a few moments as he reflected on how easily the Guards of Isopolis crumbled like dust...perhaps that was a reason why the role of Sentinel existed. "Though, if it helps, I did not hire them. Her majesty never gave me that much power. They would've been hardier warriors if I could choose them personally...yet, I can't help but feel that Fey of that stature would still be better suited on the battlefield, rather than guard duty." He went on to say, looking off to the deceased guardsmen, softly looking back at Typhon as he spoke.

"Your snark is welcome, anyway. A little levity will keep us going, believe it or not." Soren added, giving a friendly pat on Typhon's shoulder. Now, they were at their first trial: A Riddle. Wonderful. Good idea, but were not Soren's cup of tea. Nevertheless, he analysed what lay before him, just as the others did.

"Three gurus, Rembrants...Balthasar, Melchior and Gaspar...

Only one Guru can be right, of course, so who? Gaspar says that Kronos has one Rembrant, while Melchior and Balthasar are focusing on how many paintings of Rembrant he has; less than four or at least four respectively.

I think Rabiyu and Sifrei are on the right track with Melchior being correct, with Kronos not truly possessing a Rembrant of his own.

And it's what I'll say. Melchior is my answer. Doubtless I'll lose a few points for simply agreeing with others, but if they're right, they're right."

For those who chose the door to Melchior: (Rabiyu, Sifrei, Aura, Mariel, Jynn, Bherna, Odin, Rufus, Henry, Typhon, Alastor, Alicia, Soren)

Congratulations, you have chosen correctly.  You stroll through the door and continue down a long hall.  It is dark along these halls, and is ever darker as you continue, at long last, however, you come upon a second set of trials:

The room before you is dark.  You take a step further and hear something almost melodious.  The floor glows an aqua-blue at your feet, which spiderwebs along the expanse of the flooring and the walls, utilizing some kind of ancient magic.  It reveals a labyrinth.

The best part about this labyrinth is that, regardless of the path you choose, you will eventually reach its end.  The downside is that if you choose the wrong path, you will encounter an obstacle.

As you enter the maze you will find a fork in your path.  You may continue going straight ahead, or you may deviate from the path and turn right.  Which will you choose?

(This is essentially luck-based, and I will update as you go along on your individualized journey)

For those who chose the door of Gaspar (Arthur, Helios, and Eclaire):

The room you enter is lit with a dome above you.  At its end is an intricate statue of the ancient Kronos, holding some object in his hand.  The floor spills open below you, causing you to fall several stories.  Thankfully you land on something soft, though it is strangely scaly . . . .

Moments later you realize that this soft landing is very much alive.  The room you are in is dimly lit, though a fraction of light from the room above does cast down upon you.  The room is filled with snakes.  Whether they are venomous or not is unknown, though one wraps itself around Arthur's neck and another constrains Eclaire's wrists by wrapping around her.

What will you do?

The solution to the first trial:

Only one guru can be correct, therefore the correct answer is Melchior.  The statements that Balthasar and Gaspar provide could both be true (at least one Rembrandt, or at least four), while less than four could mean that Kronos possessed none.  If only one guru is correct, then that would mean that Kronos possessed no Rembrandts, thus making Melchior be the correct answer.)

Eclaire - Trials of Isopolis: Inahentaitrap

Eclaire didn't have time to flare her wings out as she fell, landing hard. Yelping, she yowled in slight pain...but of course the serpent coiled around her. Growling, the serpent would have learned how poorly it chose it's victim, as Kusanagi appeared, cutting it's head off. struggling out and flaring her wings, she flapped to take flight. She couldn't get a good angle on the one around Arthur's neck - she didn't want to decapitate him...and she had no small blades. In Paradisum could count as a halberd, meaning it wasn't as precise as needed. She'd need a clear shot.

"I-I can't aim at it! Get the head away from you!" telekinetically holding the katana away from her, she searched for others. She needed light..and she was not wanting to use her magic, not yet. She didn't know what traps could be triggered should she use magic...and she wasn't about to risk finding out.

Jynn, Dawson, and Bherna-Isopolis

Everyone who got the riddle correct came across a pathway that either led straight, or forked to the right. Dawson exclaims his hatred for mazes. “Oh great. It looks like it’s pure luck on this one.” Jynn looks down to the palico. “When did you get here?” Dawson was quick to reply. “I snuck in after you guys before the riddle game. I’ve just been quiet since then.” Jynn faces back at the path. “I think we should go straight. We should all stick together.”

- Rabiyu,Aura and Sifrei - Isopolis Shrine: Second Trial -

Well, nothing happened as the door belonging to Melchior opened, which was a good sign in the eyes of the judges. Arthur, Helios, and Eclaire were going through a different door and this made Aura feel a little nervous for Helios's safety, the others too, of course.

"Helios?" She said, "be careful in that room, alright?"

Without wasting another moment the trio made their way into the dark hallway, light getting dimmer and dimmer the further they press on, until there is a point were the path splits. One going forwards, the other going right.

Aura sniffed the air and listened closely for any hints of something, anything, further down those paths, there was no such luck. Rabiyu and Sifrei were looking at the strange glowing floor and walls, it would have been interesting to learn more about such a place like Isopolis, however, this was not the time for that.

Rabiyu heard what the prince said and sighed. Apparently he wanted the whole group to stick together on the path going forward. The only problem was that she thought this was unwise.

"I'm afraid to say that taking the whole group along a single path would be rather disastrous, Your Highness." She said calmly without even turning to look at Jynn, "There is a fifty percent chance that that choice would put the whole group in danger, it would be like flipping a coin. This group is the one with most members, as Arthur, Helios, and your late Mother's retainer went through the other door."

"What my elven friend here wants to say is that there is no point in risking the whole party going through just one path, prince," Sifrei said, "The best choice would be to split the party. That way, if there is danger, and I am sure there will be, that group can solve that potential issue while the other can reach the end of the trial. If the team dealing with the difficult part of the trial completes it, then we should be able to meet at the end of the labyrinth"

"I don't think that's a good idea, but I suppose you guys are right," Aura said flatly, "In which case I will take the path to the right."

"I'll take the path to the right as well." Rabiyu said.

"Then I suppose I will take the path in front of us," Sifrei said.

- Odin, with those who chose the Melchior Gate in Isopolis -

Odin was in agreement with Prince Jynn, but some of the group seemed disinterested in the possibility of going together.  He took the first steps into the middle path, scouting the path for tripwires or other traps.  He had his suspicions with the guards at the entrance, a weak cast of sentries that hardly stood a chance against those gathered here.  What if they were plants, nameless individuals under the influence of someone different than the late queen or Yevgeni?  Unfortunately, nobody bothered checking their faces, but he kept up his guard just in case something was afoot within the labyrinth itself.  The last thing he wanted now was a real surprise to him, and he made preparations for such a thing.

Testing his magic assured that it worked.  The subspace rip before Odin unearthed his age-old spatha sword, which upon inspection was still as oiled and clean as the day he last wielded it.  Time had no effect on materials in the other plane of existence.  Neither Raiden nor the Infiltrator were able to perform this kind of ability due to their nature of being halves of a whole, nor did they have the full effects of his gains at the Well of Wisdom.  The blade shone a pale golden glow in the blue light, its surface made of fine orichalcum brass.  Lysander-- how he missed this sword, and now it was here once more, ready to defend its wielder should things turn for the worse.

Jynn, Dawson, and Bherna-Isopolis

Rabiyu and Sifrei are quick to point out the flaws with everyone sticking together. Dawson understands the consequences. “I have to agree with them Jynn. It would be better for us to split up, so if one group can’t make it, another group can.” He starts to become incredibly concerned with the prince’s mentality. “Jynn.... Are you..... feeling alright? You have never been as reckless as you have been recently.” The two fell silent. Dawson managed to get Jynn to think about his odd behavior. Was it because he didn’t want Yevgeni to get to this ‘weapon’ first? Or was it the knowledge of the Queenslayer’s presence here that drove him to push the group? Even he didn’t know. “Guess I’ve been incredibly reckless as of late. I should probably slow down a bit........”

Rabiyu and Sifrei agree to take the path on the right. Bherna was quick to join them. “I’ll take this route as well.” Dawson chooses to stay with Jynn. “I’ll take the path that Jynn is taking.” The prince agrees. “Very well. Bherna, stay safe.” She nods. “Not to worry.”

- Arthur & Helios - /w Eclaire - Trial 2: Snake Room -

The doors opened, and the Helios smiled at Aura reassuringly. "I will be fine. I must live with the consequences of the choices that I make. But I assure you...I will be alright." He spoke. He hurried over and placed a kiss on her cheek. "I'll see you on the other side. I promise." He assured before returning to Arthur and Eclair. The three proceeded to enter, and just as they did, the floor below gave in. Arthur fell with a scream, landing on the floor with a thud. He groaned, but there was no time for hesitation. The feeling of scales were all around him, and one began to wrap around his neck. He could hear Eclaire, Arthur gasping as he grabbed a hold of the snake, trying to pull it off. "I can't see anything!" Arthur screamed, narrowing his eyes. He reached down for his sword. "Hold on. I'll provide us with light!" He spoke. He closed his eyes concentrating as lightning began to surround him. Sparks flew across his body, surrounding him like a shield as he provided a gentle, blue glow, light within the darkness. The snake around his neck would've been electrocuted to death, and the ones that surrounded him would've scattered towards the dark, away from the danger as Arthur maintained the electricity around him. "Wait, where is Helios?" Arthur asked, looking around in the dark. He spotted him further off in the dark. Helios remained calm as there were snakes going up his legs, one wrapping around his neck and slithering onto his arm as he held it close. He tilted his head, watching the snakes carefully. He wouldn't provoke them. He knew for a fact that snakes could not eat what they could not fit within their bodies. But there was still that fear of their venom...he was just a bit more calm due to his powers. He began to speak. "Our apologies for disturbing your nest." He began, carefully walking around the room, wary of his pace so he wouldn't step on any of the snakes. There had to be an exit. "Do you know a way out for us?"

- Henry, Typhon, Alicia and Alastor - Second Trial: The PlotMaze -

Apparently they were rigth, Henry shot a reassuring, albeit worried nod at Helios as he went into the other door, he didn't say anything like Aqua, but he was worried moreso than her, one could say. Still, Henry and the others didn't have much choice but to continue through their door.

Immediately they got into a maze, and Typhon chuckled. "Hah, maze? I got this." He said as he began to walk forward confidently, before turning to the left and slamming his face into a wall. "Oh." Typhon spoke, in combined confusion and shock. "Alright...Echolocation doesn't work. Which means im partialy blind, can only go through smell..." Typhon commented. And after a small moment of shocked silence.

"firetruck" He shouted in frustration.

Before long They came to a fork on the road, with two ways, right or forward. Jynn had given the suggestion of sticking together. "Doubftul, if we happen to a fight and we're in such an enclosed space then we'l have trouble with this many people, best to split up as the others said." Alastor spoke. As Typhon and Alicia went over to Jynn and Dawson. "I'l follow Jynn's lead, keep him safe." She spoke, setting herself beside Jynn, as Typhon walked behind them. "I'l keep with them since they're the only ones I don't trust anybody else here, specialy Raiden." Typhon commented dryly as he was set to follow Jynn.

"I'l follow Aura and Rabyiu, three or four per way seems reasonable, plus." Henry spoke as he walked over to Aura's side, "Not gonna leave by yourself again, even with Rabyiu here, three is better than two." Henry spoke to her, with a smiled warmly.

"On your lead Raiden..." Alastor commented as he followed closely behind Odin, as the man summoned his sword, Alastor, raised the biggest of eyebrows below his helmet, he'd never seen that sword be summoned before...Something was not right.

The Gaspar Door: (Eclaire, Helios, Arthur, and Athena)

The snakes suddenly seem to calm at Helios' words, or at least initially.  They slither away, grouping together in an odd fashion.  They link together in chains, slowly weaving themselves together, until suddenly they form a much greater serpent as they merge together.  It is at least thirty feet long, its neck wide like a cobra.  It bares its fangs at the party, before darting over at alarming speed and thrashing its tail in the direction of the spriggan.

A shriek emitted from the human princess, whom had followed along when Arthur chose this path.  Her fingers slid over the hilt of her sword, her eyes the size of sand dollars.  "Can we even take this monstrosity down?" she questioned, glancing around the room.

The room is square, perhaps 18'x18'.  There is no visible door, though that does not mean that the walls are not destructible.  The Gaspar statue room glows above you, though it is several stories above.

I will place the options below in spoilers for those who have yet to choose a path.  You can either view these to jump right in with one of the groups, or start from the beginning; whichever you prefer.

The straight path: (Jynn, Sifrei, Odin, Dawson, Typhon, Alicia, Alastor)

You wander down this path for quite some time, seeing diverges in your path that lead obviously no where.  You hear grinding sounds in the distance, as well as a faint shriek.  Did it come from your companions, or something else laying deep within the labyrinth?

Finally you encounter another set of paths, this time you have the option of going straight or, again, going right.

Which will you choose?

The right path: (Rabiyu, Aura, Rufus, Bherna, Henry)

Your path continues to wind for what seems like hours but truly are minutes.  Eventually you come upon a dead end.  You continue to circle back and explore a different path, though you encounter several very large and incredibly heavy crates.  They are the nearly the size of you, entirely blocking your path.  You have the option of either trying to get past them or backtracking, but it may very likely be possible that you would get lost if deciding to do so.

What will you do?

Jynn and Dawson-Isopolis

Jynn’s group seems to have been walking for quite a while, avoiding pointless diverges along the way. Jynn stops suddenly, with Dawson bumping into him. “What are you doing? Why have we stopped?” The prince raises his hand. “Listen.” The faint sound of grinding and shrieking seem to come from afar. He looks back at the group to see if someone had an upset stomach or something, but it was clear that the sounds did not come from them.

Dawson spots another two way on the path, with to options to head straight or turn right again. “Did we just go in a complete circle or something?” Jynn turns to the group. “Looks like we got more choices again. Should we split up this time?”

Bherna Lao-Isopolis

Bherna follows alongside Rabiyu and Sifrei’s group, seemingly walking for hours on end, until they reach a dead end. They decide to explore a different path until they reach a couple of obstacles, which turn out to be large crates. Bherna tries to give them a push with all her might, but they were too heavy. “These things weigh a ton. I don’t think moving them out of the way is an option.” She looks to the group. “Now, what to do?”

- Henry - The Path to the right -

Why did he get a feeling they'd been walking for hours, when he bets that only minutes have passed, as they walked he couldn't help but feel someone was missing...thats right, where was Elia? he hadn't seen her since the entrance, she wasn't with him or the ones in the path he walked, he worried about her slightly, hopefuly she was safe, but this was no time to dawdle, he had to get through this maze with the others first.

Soon enough they found an obstacle in their path, a large crate, whcih Bherna unsuccessfuly tried to push. Henry cracked his knuckles and stretched his head a bit before walking up, grabbing his sword and handing it to Aura, "Hold this for me, real quick." Henry asked her as he placed his hand on Bherna's shoulder as to walk by her. "Lets see." Henry spoke as his eyes began to glow brightly, one eye a crimson color and the other a dark purple color as an armor like substance began to cover his arms and his legs, still somewhat rocky like the dreadnaught armor, but a bit more refined, looking ever more like a strong black plate mail than anything now. He charged a bit as his aura began to fluctuate aroun his arms and legs as he placed his hands on the bottom of the weight ton crate. With a grit and a grunt he focused all his magic energy in enhancing his legs to hold him in place and assist in lifting with his arms, which were also charged, with any luck he'd be able to lift the box over his head and hold it in place, as he was one of the tallest ones in the small group the others would probably not have any trouble walking by him as he held it. It was heavy as hell, but he could take it. He came too far to let a box stop him.

- Typhon, Alastor and Alicia - The Path forward -

Unlike the others who saw Jynn stopping and stopped alongside them, Typhon had no such luck, he walked a few meters forward before stopping as he heard the shriek, he then, by tracing the smells, noticed the others were significantly behind him, being blind in this place wasn't  pleasant...not at all. He walked back a bit.

"Well whatever it is...rather not tangle with it anytime soon, can't smell it either. Weird." Typhon commented, as he ponded about Jynn's questions about possibly splitting up, "Going straight isn't proving very effective...im going right" Typhon spoke and of course, slammed himself into the wall just before the path turned to the right. With an annoyied grunt he used his hands to maneuver around the wall to not hit it again. Silently ashamed.

Alicia on the other hand was mostly quiet, awaiting for Jynn to make his decision. As was Alastor.

- Mad!Maxis - The Battle of the armors - Inside the linked minds of Meksis and Maxis -

Some time had passed as they clashed and fought for what seemed like hours, but the exact time could not be discerned, especially in a mental plane. The now  corrupted Maxis, with the new armor, which dripped madness and blood, holding onto a bloodstained katana. Standing upright and without any issues, as Meksis stood probably tired out and fatigued on the other end of the arena.

"I wonder what'l happen when I kill you. Will this plane dissolve and crash? or will it remain? It is somewhat clear we're not exactly in a mental plane anymore...could it be the 'dream' you armors were so fond of?" It taunted Meksis as he it slowly waked over to him. The ground shifting with each step he took.

"Wasn't that the objective of the dream? Where you armors could send your conciousness to in order to rest and dissolve the corruption?" It spoke, as it continued to walk, "stepped in front of Meksis, bringing its katana to Meksis's throat. As it glared at him.Except...it didn't work? Soon enough the dreams were corrupted as well, and then in sequence...the armor had no place to purify the corruption. Ending in the beautiful fallen armors that had to be put down..."  Maxis spoke as it

"You're boring...lets just end this." It spoke as it drew its katana back, about to strike Meksis down, as it then felt a hand grab its arm, stopping it in place. It jerked its head to look "Huh?" Before the entity could really do anything, a golden white rapier was stabbed through it from the back, it pierced it fully. "Gah!" It screamed, suddenly in pain as a golden and white armor began to appear from the dream. One hand, holding the armor's arm, and the other stabbing forcefuly the rapier through its torso.

"You're right...this is the dream, partialy anyway, Oh hello Sir Meksis." It spoke in a soft and well educated tone as he looked at Meksis, then back at the mad being. Holding it in place, allowing Meksis the perfect opportunity to strike. It was vulnerable now.

- Arthur & Helios - /w Eclaire & Athena - Trial 2: Snake Room -

"Athena?!" Arthur asked. She followed them?! Oh no. He remained using his electricity, giving them light in the dark room as the snakes turned into a giant one. He watched in horror, jaw dropping as he watched. "Athena, stay by the walls!" Arthur spoke, backing away himself. They needed to get out of here. They had landed into a death trap! Helios backed away, eyes watching as the snake transformed. "Standard Basilisk." He whispered, eyeing at the snake. Arthur looked up at it, staring at the snake and then back at the room above. "We can climb the snake upwards!" He offered, pointing it upwards. "The snake's tall enough, right?! We can run up it and climb it to the second floor!" Arthur said. He paused, blinking for a moment before looking at Eclaire. "Wait, you have wings too, don't you? Can't you fly Athena out of here and to the room above?" He asked, his eyes gleaming at her. "We can try that. But we still have this guy to take care of." Helios spoke. "Arthur, I need you to electrocute it as much as you can." Helios asked. Soon it attacked, swinging its tail right at Helios. Arthur stepped up right at the beast as it attacked. He swung his sword, focusing the energy inside of him and moving it down to the sword. "F*ck off!" He screamed, pointing his sword at the beast as he unleashed a strike of lightning straight at it. Helios couldn't dodge the hit, being thrown right into the nearest wall, gasping for breath. He fell on the floor, forcing himself to stand. "The walls are hollow." He whispered, the echo of it still sounding. He reached for his satchel, opening up a bottle of the glowing blue liquid and drinking it all in one go. He dropped the glass, taking a deep breath as he felt the energy surging. He exhaled, the smoke covering him up. Suddenly from the smoke a grand white snake basilisk slithered right into the attacking one. Helios hissed, his bright blue hues standing out in the dark as he proceeded to bite into the basilisk, tackling him right through one of the walls.

- Sifrei - Isopolis Shrine: Second Trial -

They had been walking for some time now, but without a clear way to see the outside, or know the time, it feel like mere minute were hours. There were paths upon paths which led to nowhere, dead ends, and a strange, unknown grinding sound in the distance. What was it? it was impossible to know at this point in time, but perhaps that sound had something to do with the trial. After a few more moments of walking a shriek could be heard coming from somewhere, the voice sounded female, but, sadly, there was no time to go back. Sifrei trusted that those who had come could take care of themselves if a dangerous situation arose.

"I do not think we are walking in circles, not yet, at least," Sifrei said as he got closer to the spot where the paths split, "but, just to be sure..."

The Archangel reached his hand out as his hand glowed faintly, a small amount of light began to gather in front of his hand. In a few seconds a small glowing rune appeared, this way, they would know if they were walking in circles. Or Sifrei hoped so, at least. No one knew how Isopolis worked, and he wouldn't be surprised if the forbidden shrine wouldn't like it.

"This should help us see if we have been in the same spot," He said as he looked at the Cyph as he slammed himself into the wall, " We can still afford to split the party one more time, I think. I will keep going forward."

- Rabiyu and Aura - Isopolis Shrine: Second Trial -

Aura smiled at Henry's words, it seemed so unlikely to think that they had become such good friends ever since the beginning of their journey, there was also Helios. She had been thinking how long it felt since their strange adventure had begun. It seemed like a long time ago, when her and Aurion traveled the land in search of jobs, and a place to call home. Now? Now she was on a quest to save the world. It took what felt like hours to reach a dead end, only to circle back and explore a different path where several very large and, probably, very heavy crates where. Aura looked as Bherna tried to move them, with little success. Rabiyu had remained silent most of the time, only looking at her surroundings in an attempt to find even a little hint to know that they were going in the right direction. She was not surprised when Bherna was unable to move the crates. It was most obvious that the strongest of the group was Henry, and she was going to comment on that, but, apparently, the young man had the same idea.

"Be careful with that, alright?" Aura said as she took Henry's sword, "We don't know what will be on the other side of those crates."

"We will need to more fast if there is a chance to cross," Rabiyu said while taking two daggers from her belt, "but we should be ready for a possible trap being triggered too,"

- Soren Monroe, Servant of Shiva's Will - Isopolis, the Second Trial: The Labyrinth -

The 'Melchior' door led those who answered with his name to a Labyrinth of indeterminable scale and complexity, something Soren had anticipated yet was no less displeased, for this trial would now prove to be both irritating and dangerous. Though he couldn't help but think it might very well be worse for those who answered 'Gaspar', even though Soren didn't know his art history that well.

Regardless, after a moment of thought, Soren decided to follow along with those who went down the rightmost path. "Good luck, everyone. And keep your ears open and eyes peeled." He advised to everyone, sticking with the smaller group down this path. Having come across a blockade of absolutely massive, heavy crates that would make a Behemoth blush, the Dreadnought, Henry Hansees, handed his sword off to the young Aura, before heaving one of the crates right above his head, the augmented strength of Human and Fey united supporting this feat. Soren could only be impressed on the outside, but inside, he felt as if he could shed a tear.

However, the possibility of a trap was on Soren's mind as it was Rabiyu's, for he unsheathed his great claymore and lit his free hand with hellfire. "Some of us should keep an eye to the ground, the rest straight ahead and to the air above us...Isopolis may yet surprise us." Soren warned, then tilted his head toward Henry, but didn't look at him directly, wishing to stay aware of what was ahead.

"Henry? Don't strain yourself." Soren spoke with a more urging tone, noting the weight of these boxes was immense and could prove too much for Henry in the long run, should he need to lift anymore.

Jynn and Dawson-Isopolis

It seemed that Typhon was rather annoyed by the fact that his senses were useless in this labyrinth. Jynn nods. “Yes, very strange. I’ve tried to pick up auras to navigate, but I can only sense this group’s presence. It’s almost like the labyrinth magically disables our sense of perception.” Typhon chooses to turn right, but not before accidentally slamming himself into the wall. Dawson couldn’t help but wheeze at the sight, but is quickly silenced by Jynn kicking him. “Sorry.”

Sifrei claims that they have not been going in a circle, placing a rune around the area to make sure that his claims are true. He also seems to be onboard with splitting up. Jynn nods. “Very well. I’ll take the turn to the right.........” Dawson quickly chimes in “And I’ll keep going straight.”

Bherna Lao-Isopolis

Henry takes the honors to use his hybrid powers to lift the crates. Bherna couldn’t help but watch him easily lift the box in awe. He certainly has fey blood in him. Heeding Rabiyu’s warnings about possible traps, Bherna summons her glaive, prepared for trouble should it arise.
