- Arthur - Side: Mystras Rebellion - w/ Alastor - Private Meeting at Alastor's Tent -

Arthur’s heart pounded as he faced Alastor, a single bead of sweat dripping from his brow. He braced himself to get punched again, in all honestly, but was glad to see Alastor seemed to become amused by his resistance instead. He warned Arthur, however, that the training would be rigorous, and possibly deadly. Arthur chuckled softly at the irony, his eyes softening as he looked up at Alastor. “Being a knight means facing danger every day. By this point, death is no stranger to any of us, Alastor. Not even me.” He assured, quickly straightening up as the sparks wore off him, finally able to relax momentarily as he followed Alastor out of the tent. "Thank you, Alastor. I'll meet with you later on...until then." Arthur said as the two returned to the medical tent. It was still as gloomy and as silent as when he had left. He excused himself from Alastor, quickly returning to his group's side. He proceeded to hurry next to them quickly, smiling at them for a moment before returning his gaze at Raiden. His hand went back to his chest. Death. He had been facing it for the past months in the face and never once thought about it. Not until Alastor brought it up. It was terrifying to think and yet...he couldn't help but to feel for it to be a mere challenge in his path. The thought of Midnea still free and wondering about made his blood boil...but maybe this training would give him the key to the solution he sought. It had to be. What else was there? "(I'll get you, Midnea. Even if it kills me...you won't get away with it. Not again.)"

Jynn Venas- Abode with Jeremy and Typhon

Jynn wanted to reciprocate the introduction, but Jeremy quickly tries to get to the point of his visit, but Jynn couldn't help but roll his eyes when Yevgeni's name is mentioned. He sighs. "Yeah, sounds like something he'd appoint himself to." Jynn knows that Yevgeni would always cause some sort of trouble if he was given a leadership role.

Jeremy keeps trying to persuade the prince, and it seems to have made him at least think. How would mother like to see his current state, rather, how would his people? Friends? Maybe even Raiden?

Taking a few minutes to think, he finally makes a decision to DO something, but where should he start? "You're right. Grief will only slow me down. I must take my place in this world. But where can I start?" He pauses. Raiden quickly comes into his mind. Prehaps making negotiations with his father would be a great start. "I have an idea........" Pulling out a pen and paper, Jynn quickly writes a letter, using the rocky wall to write better.

Father,

I now know the truth between you and my mother. She would always steer away from answering this information every time I asked or brought it up. Had I known this love between the two of you, our confrontation yesterday would've been less hostile, and I do deeply apologize that you had to witness my destructive dark power. I have only recently discovered this force, and it seems to occur when I get agitated, but I believe I can control this now.

Regardless, that is not the point of me writing to you. I honestly do believe that your cause is good intentioned and just, and I really want to help the humans as much as you do. Mother has lied to me for many centuries about the conditions in the world below, which frustrated me deeply when I found out she was not true to her words. However, I do understand her fears as well, as the past worries me too. Prehaps my grandfather didn't raise the barrier to protect feys, but instead raised it to protect the humans. Maybe the Overworlders were at fault? Who knows? These are questions that kept me up nights after I uncovered mother's lies.

I wish to meet you once again, and without the clashing of powers this time. As the new monarch, I will return to the Kilkes Seres camp and have my men back down while we have our discussion. Hopefully in our encounter, we can find out the identity of my mother's murderer, but I ask you that this part of our meeting should be kept between the two of us. There are wandering eyes and ears everywhere we look, the traitor could be anyone and anywhere. You can announce this meeting to your men, as I will with mine, but do not give away the fact that we will be looking for the killer while we try to come up with a peaceful resolution. Hopefully, we can lure him or her out and avenge my mother. I know there are rumors that say you have ended her life, but I understand that you are an honorable fey, and you would not strike down anyone out of cold blood, or during a truce.

Finally, before our meeting, I would like to meet the human king, Alderon. Hopefully, I can get a better grasp of what the humans are going through. Please write back as your approval. I hope to see you soon.

Your son,

Jynn Venas

He rolls up the letter and inserts it into to pouch on the leg of the snow owl perched on his shoulder. "Give this to Raiden. And fast. Trouble is brewing, I can feel it." He then releases the bird. "Go!"

He faces back to Typhon and Jeremy. "When the bird comes back with a letter of approval from Raiden, we will head out to the battlefield. In the meantime, we should prepare ourselves.........." He faces back towards the direction where the battle took place. He can't help but think about Yevgeni. I am so suspicious of Yev now. Power, that is all he's ever wanted, and he has that now.......... Who knows what he'll try to do? Father, please hurry with this approval.

(Sorry if this seems speeded up)

{Mariel: Mystras Camp}

Mariel moved through the gathered fey and humans, waiting for Raiden's speech. She avoided the few faces she recognized, not needing questions right now. Though her main focus was on the crowd, she still listened to the speech for information. It was just about as bad as the Guardian Angel feared. Shiva had been going for peace, but someone wanted to prevent that. It could be some sort of personal vendetta, but Mariel doubted it. There would be plenty of fear on both sides about what this peace would mean. The information that Soran was there and had aided Raiden against the assassin didn't thrill Mariel. She still didn't trust him and wasn't sure how much trust he had among Shiva's followers. Finding the actual assassin still seemed like the best bet. As Raiden called for a moment of silence, the angel kept watch. She would offer her prayers for the deceased queen later.

As she continued her watch of the crowd, Mariel noticed Alastor take take someone from the crowd. It was hard to tell what exactly happened from her vantage point, but had a weapon been involved? She considered checking it out, but she had to trust that Alastor had this in hand. She made a mental note to ask him about it later.

--Yevgeni Malachite -- Kilkis Seres Campsite--

Yev's gaze followed Nergal's as the other man glanced toward the crowd, running his tongue over his lower lip before responding.

"I think the Overworld felt it from the moment that her soul departed.  I didn't foresee her death causing such a disturbance between the balance of our worlds, or at least this soon."

He looked thoughtful for a moment, considering Nergal's words before nodding.  "Yes, it is believed that Lord Raiden has committed the act, though some suspect that it is the traitor Soren.  It certainly doesn't shine upon his name that he was present for her death, and I suppose fabricating a story that it was neither him nor Raiden that killed her, but instead a third party assassin.  It's a shame, really, for if the words came from anyone other than him they would probably be believed, but considering Raiden and Soren were previously in alliance it only creates even more evidence that Mystras is behind her death."

He spoke carefully, and lowly.  While no one was around and there was no way that Nergal or Yev could be heard, he didn't wish to take any chances.

"You may make your presence known, but let us not be affiliated, and be careful around those whom the queen held most dear.  They might . . . question you."

And him, but he wasn't going to go into further detail on that note.  Yevgeni proffered Nergal a slight bow.  "You have been most helpful, Nergal.  Your assistance will be greatly appreciated in the royal court."

--Elia Cabret -- Kilkis Seres campgrounds--

"Well," Elia began, lacing her fingers together as she rocked back and forth.  "It depends.  You were either alone because you were drunk, or because of what happened yesterday, but I would assume it was both in conjunction with each other."

She drew in a breath, as though pained, and immediately tore her gaze away.  Her fingers fidgeted at a blade of grass between them, and she couldn't have seemed any more interested in it than she was just then.

"I . . . I know about Morana," she said finally.  "I still can't believe it.  I just can't--why would they?!  She was so kind!  So good!  Why . . . ."

Of course, she knew the answer despite her demanding it: it was war, and lives were mere points to be claimed on the battlefield.   A part of her couldn't fathom why anyone would want to fight if they truly processed what it meant to all involved, but perhaps she just was more sensitive and humane than most.

"I don't know what I'm going to do now," Elia murmured, still refusing to look at her friend.  "I know that it isn't over, especially now that the queen is dead and that he's in charge."  She jerked her head over toward where the speech had taken place, even though Yevgeni were no longer present.  If Jari knew of her long-brewed hatred for him, it probably wouldn't take him long to discern whom she were referring to.  "I just can't fight again.  Not because I'm afraid I'll die, but because of who I'll have to watch die next."

--Curvis Sourati-- Kilkis Seres Campgrounds--

A smile crossed Curvis' face as he brought a hand to Aqua's shoulder.  "You have already done me a great service, thank you.  You brought me here, after all, putting yourself at great personal risk."  He adjusted his sword's sheath as he continued to eye her.  "You even saved my life yesterday when your fellow soldier asked you to kill me.  I hope that this war ends soon; too much blood has been lost already."

He reached for her hand and kissed it respectfully, before giving her one final nod and started to turn away.  He didn't take much more than a step, however, when he saw Elia and Jari together again, their backs to him.

"Isn't she the one . . . ?  Your friend, I mean."  Curvis tilted his head, giving Aqua a sideways glance over his shoulder.  "You really should go talk to her.  It is not joyous to lose friends, especially those still among the living."

--Everyth Castanova -- Mystras campgrounds attending Raiden's speech--

So it was true: the queen was truly dead, though apparently not by the Lord's hand.  Of course, he could just be saying this, but what good would it be to lie, except to save his face and reputation by those who would detest a cold-blooded killer?  That were possible, but for the moment she would accept his word at face value.  If King Alderon were to accept him, she would, too.

She placed a hand over her heart and lowered her head respectfully as all fell silent.

May you rest in peace, Queen Shiva.

She didn't know much about the queen.  She hadn't even known what Shiva looked like, though she was well respected by her friends and even enemies, so surely there must've been something good within her.  Perhaps she were merely misguided rather than truly evil.  There were a lot of people like that, ones that Everyth could even count on her fingers.

The woman stayed in her spot, surrounded by the crowd of Mystran followers that clung to every word that their ruler uttered.  She wasn't sure if Raiden would continue, but she figured whatever would come next would likely be crucial, and she didn't want to miss it firsthand.

- Lord Raiden, Mystras, at the Mystran encampment -

Raiden glanced over the crowd, the silence profound as everyone paid their respects, himself included.  He caught a multitude of faces he recognised but neither nodded nor smiled.  Such a somber moment was not the time for such kindnesses, but he was thankful for their being here, every one of them.  Mariel caught his gaze as well as she slipped through the crowd with a hawk's eyes, ready to ensnare any troublesome individual if they decided to make themselves known.  One can never be too careful, especially in war, and Raiden admired the cleverness in her actions.

Clearing his throat, his voice continued to boom as he tacked on a final statement.

"I thank you for your sentiments for the fallen queen.  As long as we hold grip on her memory, she will fade neither in time nor in recollection, and that is my chiefest desire.  However, something must be performed so that this murderer of a queen does not achieve his goal:  we must make peace with the main body of Kilkes Seres.  Even if a bargain was struck between myself and Shiva, it will not be taken into effect until I meet with its future king Jynn, once he is coronated."

A white glint caught his eye as it soared above the heads of many and made its way down towards him.  Recognising it, he held out his hand and allowed the snowy owl to descend onto his robed forearm.

Shiva? he thought to himself, questioning who sent off the messenger bird to him.  Raiden plucked the letter from the pouch on its leg with his free hand and hastily read it in a number of seconds before blinking in surprise.  Jynn.  He found out through his mother that Raiden was his father, and he quickly assessed the situation and came up with a good plan from top to bottom.  He really was a bright one.

"That was a message from the prince himself just now," he responded, chipper about the auspicious timing of the letter.  "He proposed a peaceful meeting with each of the ruling parties, something with which I wholeheartedly agree.  While we arrange this meeting, I will give out one command.

"Do not instigate any further conflict with those of Kilkes Seres and their allies until further notice.  I know that many among you have lost family, friends, and loved ones in this conflict, but this is no time for vengeance or self-sacrifice.  There has been enough bloodshed as of late.  Thank you."

With that, he tucked the letter safely next to his chest, held onto the pouch of the owl so that it did not fly away, and reentered the healer's tent that he previously left.  It was time to write two missives:  one for a ceasefire and another directly to his son.

- Jari Coriander, Kilkes Seres, at the Seres encampment -

Jari nodded along, the deepest frown expressible revealing itself on his face as he listened to Elia.  He could not disagree.  She was right about his being alone for those reasons.  Furthermore, it seemed as if she was just as saddened as he was about Morana's passing.  He wanted to help her out through this difficult time, to console her, but he felt powerless.  He could not summon up the capabilities to console himself, or to fight, or to do pretty much anything.  It was in his foxchild nature to run from problems, but running from problems was a huge problem in itself when he wanted to be of assistance.

After a moment's pause, Jari summoned enough willpower to open his mouth to speak, but he was cut off by the tumultuous collapse of an outdoor table by a thrown guard.  It seemed as if all eyes were focused on the malevolent force that toppled the on-point soldier, and Jari's heart jumped three centimetres and into his throat upon spying Maxis.

Is that . . . a living armour?! he thought to himself, attempting to peer within the helmet to make sure someone was inside but unable to do so.  Oh gosh, it is.  Then he must be the queen's protector, and he's coming this way!  Do not panic, do not panic, do not--

Maxis' metallic hand clapping onto his shoulder cut off all train of thought except "PANIC," and Jari froze in place excepting his slacked vocal cords and jaw, which let out a piercing scream of fright throughout the area for a good number of seconds.  Perhaps this was not the reply Maxis was hoping for, but it was a reply.

- Rabiyu and Sifrei - Mystran encampment with Raiden -

In that brief moment of silence Rabiyu noticed that something was approaching, something that was unknown and yet felt somewhat familiar. It took careful analysis of the creature to make Rabiyu don't want to shoot it before it reached its destination. It was at the moment the owl landed that she understood why it felt familiar, it had the essense of Shiva with it. Sifrei was also watching as the Lord of Mystras took the letter that the owl possessed, he noticed the slight changes in Raiden's face as he read. Both judges followe Raiden once he went back inside the healer's tent.

"Should we trust the letter, Your Lordship?" Asked Sifrei, "Is there a possibility that-"

"Improbable. This owl has the essense of the Frostbearer and that of the Prince. I do not think this letter is compromised," Rabiyu said before looking at Raiden, "I will ask for your permission to accompany you to this meeting, Your Lordship. After the events of last night, I feel it is quite necessary. A small retinue, perhaps? The city will remain protected by your spell casters if they follow my instructions without fail."

Sifrei looked at Rabiyu for a moment, it was a strange moment when his elvish friend was THAT serious. Sure, she was like that most of the time, but after centuries of knowing her, he could just tell.

"Then I suppose that I will continue with our previous plan. Mariel wanted to investigate the place of the Frostbearer's murder," he said calmly, "She is in no state to go alone, so I offered my help."

"In any case. Would it be to much trouble if you could recount the events of last night to us, Your Lordship?" Rabiyu said to Raiden, her voice calm as always, "We know that the Queen was attacked, but to kill a fey with ease is no simple task. Can you explain to us what exactly happened?"

- Aura - Mystran encampment with Helios, Henry and Everyth -

Now that the speech was over and Raiden went back to the tent followed by Rabiyu and Sifrei, Aura sighed and closed her eyes for a moment. It was a strange feeling, but she felt as she could hear the whispers around her very clearly, even distant ones. She could smell the scent of blood in the air, the scent of ointments and medicine. Her head was throbbing slightly, it made her feel sick.

"I suppose that is that," She said while rubbing her forehead, "Now it's the people's choice if they trust Lord Raiden's words."

- Nergal, Remnant of Meksis, the Queenslayer - Kilkis Seres Campgrounds w/ Yevgeni -

Nergal frowned beneath his mask as Yevgeni spoke of Shiva's demise, her departure leaving an impact upon both worlds so immediately...a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. "Her connection to the barrier between worlds ran deep indeed..." He then noted, resuming his listening to Yevgeni. Something soon caught his attention; Yevgeni all but confirming that the demon in question was Soren Monroe, immediately he followed-up on this after his comrade had finished speaking with a lean forward.

"Soren is a vengeful, persistent one. But if I may, I'd suggest you not antagonize him anymore than he will be already. He is sure to come here, to you, with questions..." Nergal suggested, then a smirk formed upon his lips hidden by the mask. "And if he is as...sentimental, as I believe him to be, he'll have sought Shiva's forgiveness. And he will seek the same of Shiva's son and retainer...maybe even of you. Play to this, if you wish." He concluded about Soren, hearing the disturbance caused by Maxis in the background, but preferred to focus on Yevgeni.

The Regent then proposed that while Nergal may be present, he was to keep his distance from Yevgeni in public and from any of Shiva's most dear. To which Nergal nodded immediately, realizing the potential dangers. "As you wish. I seek not to be saddled with sensitive, pressing questions by her grievers." With that, he reciprocated Yevgeni's bow, who thanked him for his help. "You are most welcome. It is an honour to serve...noble Regent. I wish you luck, friend~" Nergal spoke with vigor and sincerity, before turning to depart. Truth be told, to be away from Yevgeni was painful to Nergal, his heart ached more as their distance grew...the now-Regent of Kilkis Seres had given him much, like Alastor had done...now he was torn between the two, though there was no guarantee he'd see Alastor again. But he would see Yevgeni again. He would relish the sight of him once he did.

- Soren Monroe, the Penitent Traitor - Kilkis Seres Campgrounds -

As Nergal disappeared into the shadows, a familiar demon made his way through the crowd after Yevgeni had finished his speech, only making his way to the Regent after Maxis had entered and just after Nergal departed, his fists clenched as he wandered among those who held him in a very low regard. Yet as the wind blew through his raven locks, he kept his head high, his approach almost like a march before he would slow down, calling out to the nearby Yevgeni in a regular speaking tone.

"Yevgeni?" He said, swallowing and raising a hand as his attention was hopefully roused. "I know I'm not the person you'd want to see right now...but please, could I have a moment? I hear you're the new Regent of Kilkis Seres." Soren coolly spoke, rubbing his shoulder to ease tension, born from the stress caused by Shiva's brutal death.

- Maxis - The Wicked - Seres's encampment -

Maxis was rather delighted to hear Jari's response, which was a rather high pitched scream, which caused almost everyone in the vicinity to shift their attention to Maxis and the boy-fox. Maxis took a moment to glance around, eyeing everyone that had their eyes on them, none of them looked important. So Maxis simply ignored them as he looked right back at Jari, straight into the boy's eyes. His hollowness was even more apparent face to face. If Jari were to look further into Maxis's helmet he'd see absolutely nothing. Just an empty armor staring right into his soul.

"Well...that was certainly an answer...not the one I wanted though." Maxis's voice lowered in pitch at the last words as he looked at Jari's friend, who sat beside him. "Excuse me miss, this'l be just a second." Maxis spoke, with a friendly gesture of his hands as he turned back to Jari. "Now you see, little man. I am very, very angry and very, oh so very distraught lately because of what happened to my queen." Maxis spoke, not letting go of the boy's shoulder, in fact, he tightened the grip on it just to add extra pressure. "So if you could be a dear, could you tell me where Yevgeni is before I end up popping someone?" Maxis's casual tone, mixed in with the sadistic and demonic finish added even more intimidation onto his mannerisms. As Maxis waited for Jari's answer. Without.Averting.His.Gaze. Literaly staring the boy dead in the eye.

- Ivany - The Mad Alchemist - Alongside Meksis -

"Well, Maxis was just a matter of time...sad to say, the seal that bound him to the queen was his last resort at keeping...whatever it was that resided within him in check." Ivany explained, with a pained and sad tone. And with the followup of Meksis's explanation of what was going on with him, she feared he was soon to be just like Maxis. But she wasn't going to let it happen, no. Meksis was different from Maxis, both in person and in design...

Ivany sat down in her chair, a few meters away from Meksis. As she sighed, "I don't think Maxis ever explained how your generations of armor worked huh?" ivany asked Meksis a rhetorical question. "According to the books Maxis brought me about your kind, it seems to me you are of the second generation of armors. Made to be more resistant to corruption, which was a common thing in your time." Ivany went ahead to explain some of it.

"Unlike Maxis, who had almost no protection to the corruptive sources of the time, you had something else that protected you, you had a different entity, which soaked up part of the corruption you would receive, you see, the researchers from the era decided to use your body after your soul was transferred to the armor as a...well...a sponge to the corruption, any of it your armor self would come in contact with would be sent to the original body."

Ivany stopped, as she pondered for a second, before a look of shock overtook her expression. "it can only mean one thing..." she spoke, as she ran to some books she had on the corner, picking one up and reading it a bit in the right page. "Oh crap..." ivany spoke, slamming the but shut as she walked over to Meksis.

"Your other self...your original body, is out there. And since he isn't in the state in which he can soak up your corruption anymore...you're building up on it." Ivany spoke, sitting back down on her chair. as she waited for Meksis's reaction.

- Henry - The Dreadnought - Mystras camp -

Henry watched Raiden's speech and actions thorougly as the man recived a letter from the owl, which was surprising, not only to Henry but to the crowd as well it seemed. Henry folded his arms as Raiden gave the order to not continue further conflict until this was resolved.

"Yeah, we can only wait and see their reaction..." Henry managed to reply to Aura's comment as he watched Raiden walk off and enter a tent. The same one the man had left before giving his speech.

"Im going to have a talk with Raiden, Helios, if you want off I don't blame you." Henry warned the others and Helios, whom was still in ferret form sitting on his shoulder and head. As he began his march to Raiden's tent. he did not care about the guards that gave him disrespectful and ugly stares as he walked towards it. He wasn't exactly liked around the camp, but he didn't rightly gave a damn about his reputation.

"I was about to ask the same thing." Henry spoke, as he entered Raiden's tent, seeing Rabiyu already inside, only being able to catch her asking the man about the occurences of last night, and nothing else. He looked at Rabyiu for a second before turning his attention to Raiden.

"Excuse my intrusion." Henry spoke, not in a tone that apologized, but more of a blank one. "I've come face to face with Shiva before, and she didn't feel like any common fey, her power was great, so what happened exactly..." Henry asked Raiden.

- Typhon - The Last Bug - Jynn's abode -

Typhon's lack of expression was a good thing at this moment, as Jynn spoke to him and Jeremy that when the bird came back, possibly with a letter of approval from Raiden, they'd set off into the...battlefield? the thought of cruising a battlefield was troubling to Typhon, he could handle himself fine, sure. But he didn't want to go to an all out battle...if there were one.

"What." Typhon reacted to Jynn's orders with an extra flat tone. "So much for laying low..." Typhon muttered to himself, "Fine, i'l help you out Jynn, such as long as you don't mind having a wanted species tagging along." Typhon spoke, shrugging.

- Lord Raiden, flashback -

Raiden glanced at Soren once more and listened as the demonic individual swore an oath of high stakes so unsuited to his kind.  However, he could only assume that he was speaking the truth, and it relaxed Raiden's intensity.  Slowly, carefully, he slid his hands out from underneath Shiva and rose to his feet, eyes downward to where Shiva lay.

"If you're true to this promise of yours, I will readily forgive you of all grievances and would be happy to receive you.  However, I will warn you that, if we ever stand against each other and you break that promise . . . nothing will forestall what I have in store for you.  Your loyalty has bounced twice.  Thrice will bring more than tarnished bonds."  His gaze lifted to Soren, the hardness within softened by the tiniest of smiles.  "And please . . . call me Raiden from now on, and never let others know of my surname.  The name of Odin lies buried by time, as the man I was before should be."

Forcing himself to move and take action again, he lowered to pick up Shiva once again, lifting her up from the ground with tenderness.

"I must return her body to her people, alone.  As desirous as I am to give her a quiet, proper burial, she is a queen and I an apostate to the throne.  To give obsequies is better fitting of those she sought to protect than one such as myself, even if my love for her burns greater than all others.  And Soren . . . keep your wits about you.  Danger flits about more so than ever.  While this assassin seems to have had much dispassion towards the queen, I cannot help but assume he had a master."

With a surge of lightning about him, Raiden leapt forward and left the area, a heavy feeling of pressure mixed with the latent electricity that popped in the air.  Minutes later he would meet up with Reginald on the outskirts of the Kilkes Seres encampment, and the news of what happened after that was disseminated in the morning.

((That's it for now, folks.  I'll respond to others later.  For now, I must strike my head against a feathered pillow and get some z's.))

- Helios - Side: Mystras - /w Henry -

Helios listened, his ears perking up as he watched the owl arrive to deliver the letter. "(Jynn.)" Helios thought, watching the owl come and go before Raiden finished his statements. No one in Mystras were to instigate any further violence with Kilkis Seres. Jynn, it would seem, wished to speak with Raiden, and hopefully of peace. Helios smiled a bit, wagging his tail. Maybe he could sneak into the meeting? Of course, the responsible part of him insisted to no, that is not what you do. But he wished to greet Jynn again, regardless. "(Keep your head up. We're almost there.)" Helios thought. He blinked as he looked down at Henry. He wished to be able to help Lord Raiden, but he alone had some of the most powerful allies under his command. Helios might only get in the way. "I'll remain with Aura, then. Be careful, Henry." Helios said, quickly crawling off Henry's head before jumping from his arm right onto Aura's shoulders. "Not everyone will be agreeing with Raiden, but all we can do is wait until further orders and be wary of those around us. Anger can make people do stupid things." Helios hummed as he rested on Aura's shoulders, looking up to her. "We have a while before any further orders. Up for some flying lessons?" Helios teased, wagging his tail in amusement as he did.

- Arthur - Side: Mystras - /w Alderon, Draksis, and Alex -

Arthur listened, smiling softly as he watched the owl deliver the message. A possible peace treaty, perhaps? The death of the queen would no doubt had caused turmoil among Kilkis Seres, especially to the prince himself. Did he hope to find the peace his mother attempted to that night? To find out what happened to her? ...or did he hope to return the favor? He looked at Alex, smiling. "Maybe this war could end in peace...if we hope enough." Arthur said, lowering his hands as he looked back up. Should he tell them about the training? He felt that he should. For one, it would be good for them to know what he is up to in case they needed him. "Um, sir Draksis." Arthur began, glancing up at him. "I must be excused tonight. I...sir Alastor has offered me some training, and I cannot pass the opportunity." Arthur said cheerfully, smiling softly, all while leaving out the whole 'electricity coming out of my body' part of the training. "I thought it'd be best to let you know, in case you needed me." He added, getting his hands behind his back as he looked back up at the stage where Raiden stood. "Though, if everything goes well, I can guess that there might be a peace treaty by the time I'm done. Or hope, at the very least." Arthur said, lowering his gaze as he glanced up at the king. "O-Oh! Yes, your majesty! We were thinking, though it might not be easily possible...maybe we could find a way to deliver letters back home? Being able to send at least one letter to their families and loved ones would certainly boost the morale of the men. Even more if they receive one in return."

"I know that, Helios. I just hope that all the people have the some faith in Lord Raiden." Aura answered as she watched Henry walk away, "This event will cause distrust among everyone in here, morale will fall among the people. And yes, anger can make people do stupid things.

Aura rubbed the bridge of her nose, her headache was passing, and yet the voices were still loud, the different scents still lingered. What was happening with her? it was like she wasn't the same, like something was different.

"F-flying lessons? U-um...I-I do not think that's a good idea, Helios," Aura squeaked, "I-I'm not feeling that good at the moment, b-but maybe another time? I feel that if we go up into the sky, well...we may have an accident and you will need a bath."

Aura smiled and laughed nervously, half of what she said was meant as a joke, the other, not so much.

"Maybe when I'm feeling a little better, yes?" Aura rubbed Helios's chin with her finger, "I promise you that...that I will try to get over my fear, okay?"

Helios chuckled at her reaction, simply nodding. He purred slightly as she rubbed his chin. He looked up at her, focusing on her expression. She didn't seem to be as cheerful as other days. Was she getting sick? "Then let us do something to make you feel better." Helios offered, quickly thinking of what they could do. "I'm sure there's some wildflowers in the nearby edges of the forest. Maybe we can collect some. There's also Lord Raiden's garden, though I don't think he would appreciate of us plucking his up." Helios suggested. Flowers were always a good way to cheer someone up. Their sweet scent alone usually made people smile. Unless they were allergic. "There's also a library, or maybe a nap will do you better? The animals are in mourning of the Queen's death, but I'm sure I can coerce one or two rabbits to come by if you need to pet some too." He paused, before looking up. "Though, if you aren't feeling well, maybe we should ask a doctor to see you just in case?"

Aura smiled a bit while listening at Helios, she wondered how he could be that excited after everything he went through while he was locked in their world. Somehow it made her feel like she was listening at her older brother when they were young, when their mom took them to the market, like playing pretend with Aurion in the forest near the farm, like every day was a new adventure, even when she was being grumpy with Aurion only to make him angry, which never really happened.

"One of the healers said I was good to go when I woke up. Said that my injuries where mostly physical and the few open wounds I got were healed thanks to their magic, but thanks for caring, Helios." Aura said calmly while looking at the sky.

Since the time they escaped and arrived at Mystras, Aura didn't had much time to go explore the surounding. Maybe Helios's idea was a good one.

"Collect wild flowers sounds like a good idea, Helios," she said softly, "I think some fresh air might be what I need."

- Helios - Side: Mystras - /w Aura -

Helios perked his head up, nodding. "Flowers it is then!" Helios said, quickly and carefully jumping off from Aura's shoulder, transforming back into his regular form right before landing on the floor. "Let's go and find us a nice patch." Helios said, gently taking Aura's hand in his as the two made their way across the camp and into the forest area, opposite way of the bloodied plains. The scent of blood still lingered in the air, attracting all kinds of scavenger animals over in search of food. The scent of flowers would do well for a change. Luckily, in an area like this, flowers weren't uncommon to find. Helios looked up as they walked in between the trees, focusing on his senses hoping to sniff some out. "Hm...this way." Helios said, pointing forward as they walked further in. "It's strange for the forest to be quiet." He admitted. "But even the beings of this land loved the queen dearly." He hummed, glancing around. They all still hid. Not that he blamed them. Helios stopped, spotting a patch of a few wildflowers, more of them leading up ahead to a large fruit tree in bloom, which had even more flowers on its branches. They shimmered with a hue in the sunlight like glass, almost transparent. "I'll get us a few of those!" Helios said, letting go of Aura as he ran to the tree, he landed his hands on it, only to transform into a monkey and hurry up the tree with ease. He shook the branches, allowing some flowers and fruit to fall off from them and onto the ground below. He crawled over one branch, quickly picking up a bunch of the flowers, as many as his hand could carry. He then transformed back into his human form, wrapping his feet around the branch, holding on before allowing himself to swing upside down so he could face Aura, a few leaves in his hair. "A bouquet for the lady! A bunch more and we could make flower crowns."

- Aura - Mystran encampment -

Aura followed and watched Helios from behind, maybe other people would look at the strange pair, but she didn't cared, she was glad that the noise and scents of the encampment were left behind, well, at least most of it. Although Aura did enjoy the change, the air was cleaner, the noise was minimal, just like back home.

"I understand. I know I am not like you, but even I can feel that the world is different somehow," Aura said to Helios as they kept walking, "And I suppose even the creatures are mourning the death of the queen. She was the ruler after all."

It took Aura by surprise when Helios ran to the tree, only for him to transform and get lost among the branches. Aura took a moment to look at the trees around, this was such a beautiful place, even more than the forest of her childhood. How many year their world had before last night? how much time did the humans had before the world perished? It didn't mattered anymore, the barrier was gone and the world would thrive once more. She crouched down to pick one of the fruits that had fallen from the tree, she didn't waited a long time before she took a bite and, the her surprise, the fruit was sweet, delicious. She then raised only to be surprised once again when Helios swung upside down.

"O-oh, um...t-thanks, Helios," Aura answered as she took the bouque and stared at it, "These are lovely, and I have to say that this forest is just, just beautiful. It's like nothing I've ever seen before, not even in my childhood, or my travels with Aurion guided us to a place as beautiful as this one."

The pain of remembering her childhood was great, just like it was remembering her mother, her brother, and all the time they had spent together. She had no family anymore, but she wasn't alone, there was Helios, and maybe Henry, even the crazy elf girl and the archangel, maybe she could consider them her new family when all of this was over. The young woman then looked at Helios once more, a gentle smile was now on her face, just like a few fresh tears running down her cheeks. Only a few people had seen her like this, at her most vulnerable, being her true self, now Helios had seen her too.

"Thank you for trying to cheer me up, Helios. I really appreciate it."

--Elia Cabret -- Kilkis Seres campsite--

The fairy's attention was arrested from her friend when she noticed the scene that Maxis displayed, causing her to raise her brows in alarm.  She had met Maxis, and had even liked the enchanted armor.  She thought he was funny and had a great heart.  Now, however, she hardly recognized the man.  He seemed gruff, cold, and . . . heartless.

Jari's response to Maxis hardly surprised Elia; for some reason he managed to always attract the attention of armored foes that threatened him.  She was, however, surprised by how Maxis treated him, for seemingly no reason at all.

"I will not be excused," Elia fumed.  "How is it that you feel justified to treat people like that?  You just threw a guard, for probably no reason at all, and now you're coming up and making demands?!  Just who do you think you are?"  She leapt to her feet.  She barely came up to Maxis' chest and was a mere 95 pounds, but she didn't let her determination waver.  No one threatened her friends and got away with it.

"Do you think you can just treat people like trash because your queen is dead?  Do you think she would've wanted that?"  Mentioning the queen's death was probably dangerous ground to tread upon, but Elia wanted him to really ponder over it and consider her words.

--Yevgeni Malachite -- Kilkis Seres campgrounds--

The blond elf was unable to respond to Nergal, for he disappeared almost as suddenly as he had arrived, leaving him with naught but his words that rang through his head, striking a slight amount of tension to grip him.

Soren is a vengeful, persistent one. But if I may, I'd suggest you not antagonize him anymore than he will be already.

It also seemed that Nergal had a history with Soren, something that Yev was mightily curious about.  He would have to ask the masked man about this later.

As though summoned by the mention of his very name, Soren appeared alongside Yev.  He spoke calmly, even though his demeanor suggested otherwise.  The elf's emerald gaze met Soren's, brows knitted together as he responded: "Why is it that you think I would be displeased to see you, Soren the Sentinel?  Is there something that I should know?"

He gestured toward two crates behind a tent with a gloved hand, as though indicating that they speak outside of the public eye and take seats.  "You would be correct.  I am the regent of Kilkis Seres.  The events from last night were quite unexpected, and Kilkis Seres runs the risk of being divided and utterly obliterating themselves without a leader to guide them.  I thought that my time in court ended when King Alexander left us, but, well, life is full of surprises."

The elf sat upon one of the crates, crossing his legs without ever taking his eyes off of Soren.  Nergal's words continued to run through his mind as they spoke, considering them carefully as he chose his next course of action.

And he will seek the same of Shiva's son and retainer...maybe even of you. Play to this, if you wish.

"Now then, Soren.  What can I do for you?" he asked.  The game had begun, and now they were all pieces on the playing board.  It was time that he made his move; he curiously awaited to see what Soren's would be.

--King Alderon -- Mystran encampment--

The king crossed his arms, shifting his weight to one side, listening intently to Raiden's speech.  The man was a good ruler, and had a way with words.  He held his people enraptured by his words, and, despite things looking poor in Raiden's favor, still managed to keep the pointed fingers turning in other directions convincingly.

Admittedly, Alderon wasn't all too concerned either way on whether Raiden murdered the ice queen or not.  It was war, and he knew that Raiden would do whatever it was that was required to be done.  It was not his land nor his people, and he couldn't fully comprehend fey politics.  So far they'd proven different than those of the humans and the world below.

Raiden dismissed himself from his audience upon receiving a letter via owl (a curious method of delivery to the human king, who had only heard of such things from legend), and already was surrounded by several individuals.  Now did not seem like the time for Alderon to approach him about their next course of action.  He had already made it abundantly clear that they were not to pursue Kilkis Seres further, which only brought concern to well in his heart.  Surely Kilkis Seres would blame Mystras--and thus the humans--for the death of their queen, and they would quite likely become targets.  Though they were withholding hostilities, he could not say the same for Kilkis Seres.

He would have to find an opportunity to speak with Raiden later.  Right now he was considering preparing his men to descend to the world below.  Their world was now saved, and it seemed senseless to keep the majority of his army within the Overworld.  Alderon's quest, however, was only half-complete.  He still was yet to find a cure for Visco, and he swore to himself that he would not return without it.

--Everyth Castanova -- Mystran encampment--

Everyth's violet eyes swept across the gathering as its members began to disperse.  She did not see her king or Henry, and there weren't that many fey that she had gotten to know.  It seemed that their world was now saved, and thus it looked like they didn't have much purpose left to reside in this world.  It was a shame to her, really; she really felt quite at home here, or as homey as any one location could feel.

She began to walk away, when she noticed Mariel seeming to observe the crowd as well.  She strolled up to her, curious about the woman who had once served in their realm.

"I feel as though we have met," Everyth said from behind her.  "And I do not mean upon arriving in the Overworld.  Were you not a member of King Alderon's court?  Have you always been"--Everyth waved a hand toward Mariel, clearly indicating the fact that the woman was indeed an angel--"well, this?"

- Helios - Side: Mystras - /w Aura -

"There is a lot of places left to explore in your world. If you'd like, we could visit them all one day." Helios offered, smiling as he did. His smile softened, however, when he saw the tears fall from Aura's face. Helios reached his hands out, gently rubbing Aura's tears away from her eyes. "You're my friend. To see that smile, I'd go over the moon and back." He picked up one of the flowers from Aura's bouquet, carefully pushing some hair behind Aura's ear before placing the flower there. "Life isn't fair. It's the way it's always been. Whether we be animals, Fey, or humans. But that is what makes it beautiful. We are able to feel. From love, to pain. Without it, we wouldn't be able to learn. It is how the soul grows, even if it hurts so much." Helios said, offering his thoughts. In all of his years of life, he didn't truly understood it until he met the humans. Until they crossed the barrier, and all of this started. Even with so much death, so much pain, so much good had also come along in return. Helios then gently reached his hands out again, holding Aura's head before placing a kiss on her forehead. "You're not alone, Aura. Every memory, every emotion, it's all proof that you were never alone, and that you won't be." Helios allowed himself to drop down from the branch, landing on his feet before standing up to face Aura. "I did promise I'd take you around Kilkis Seres and all of the other awesome places I know, you know. So don't you worry. You won't ever be alone anymore. Not now, not ever. I promise." Helios said, smiling as he offered his pinky finger for a promise.

- Aura - Mystran encampment -

"Thank you. You are wise, Helios, wiser than I will ever will be. Yesterday I lost half of me. I know that I will see my brother again one day, but not too soon, I hope. There is still much to do, so much to see, and perhaps, when all of this is over, I will do just that. I will explore and see this world of yours first."

Aura said as she looked at the boy in front of her. The headache was now long gone, and the only scents she could smell were the scent of flowers, trees, the scents of nature.

"I know. I'm not alone, not anymore. The memories I shared with my brother will keep me going through this difficult times. I will be strong, I will endure the trials we will face. I will keep living and enjoy the world for both me and my brother."
Helios offered his pinky for a a promise, and Aura did the same, a promise between friends.

"It is a promise then, Helios." Aura said with her brightest smile.

- Maxis - The Corrupted - Kilkis Seres -

Maxis stood there, looking at Elia, stunned at the woman's attitude and guts. "Frankly, I don't see where I should care." Maxis replied to her, sounding like a real sociopath for a second as the woman continued. The woman, as much as Maxis hated to admit, seemed to have a point. But the moment she uttered the words Queen Maxis's hand latched onto Elia's throat, as he lifted her with no effort at all. If Jari or Elia paid attention to Maxis's aura, they'd notice a 'spark' per say, almost like something triggered the moment Elia spoke those words.

Madness energy began to leak from Maxis's faceplate slightly. As another voice rung out, not coming out of him, but speaking directly to Elia's mind. "The Maxis you know, the once quirky retainer of the queen, failed his duty...and now he is no more...he i-" The voice was interrupted as Maxis let go of Elia, regardless if the woman fell to the ground or not, Maxis took a few steps back, mostly at horror, at himself even, he lashed out against someone innocent...worse yet, someone he knew...and was actualy friendly towards before.

"GOD DAMN IT!" Maxis spoke, stumbling to a wooden table, next to Elia and Jari. As he slammed his head against it, one, two, three, six times as he finished he slumped onto the ground, clutching his head.

A clone formed from his Shadow, and appeared near Elia. This one had a different tone than Maxis himself, he seemed more gentle.

"With the queen's death, we are slowly losing ourselves to the madness that we sealed away with her help, this was the first sign, we attacked someone innocent, like you. I apologize on behalf of us, really." The clone spoke, this one seemed a bit more sane. he spoke in a low enough tone for only Jari and Elia to hear, so the other prying eyes couldn't.

"We're melting down mentaly, we're a time bomb now..." The clone spoke as he walked over to the original Maxis and placed a hand on his shoulder, "Which is why we have to find the killer...and fast." It spoke, as it melted away onto his shadow as the real Maxis slowly got up. "Im sorry..." He muttered. In a truly apologetic and anguished tone, almost as if he was in pain.

~Aqua: With Curvis, Kilkis Seres~
Aqua blushed lightly. “That’s….um…” She fidgeted slightly in nervousness. “I’ll try to visit you if I have the chance! I’d like to really become friends!” She had just blurted out her thoughts without meaning to. She gave a nervous smile. “Ermh, I mean, if you don’t mind.” She said placing a hand on her chest to calm herself down.

Aqua felt as if she was giving herself emotional whiplash from the urge of different conflicting emotions. “But, yes. I’ll go makeup with her...we just had a difference of opinion. It was based on a understand so do not worry. Keep safe.” She reached into her bag. “As a symbol of friendship. I’d like to give you this coin. It’s all I have on hand to give. Not that I’m lacking in any money.” She gave a nervous laugh. “Just take it, it’s a sign of peace between us.”   She places the hand with the coin toward him.

- Helios - Side: Mystras - /w Aura -

Helios sighed softly, content to see Aura smiling again. The death of Auron was a blow to never recover from. To shatter her inside out despite all of her hardships so far, and yet she still persisted. "You and Henry both remind me why I fell in love with humanity, you know?" Helios hummed, chuckling a bit. "You refuse to stay behind. You adapt to change as fast as it comes to you. You are a very stubborn species and persist even when the odds are against you...I'm glad I crossed the barrier that night." Helios admitted. Yes, hardships came and went. Many lives were lost, scars were gained, some that would never heal. But in the end, Helios couldn't help but to feel that it was the right thing all along. That all of the pain would end up bringing up a brighter future. One of what it should have always been. Sure, there would be pain and troubles, but that was part of growing. You can't learn to walk if you're too afraid to fall. Helios knelt down, picking up one of the fruit. "We can bring some of these back to camp. Keep it for a midnight snack or treat. These would do good with some milk, too." Helios said, spinning the fruit in his hand. "Oh, I have another idea! Let's save some seeds! You guys can bring them with you back home. You can plant it and have the very first Overworld tree on Earth! That's some nice bragging rights right there." Helios said, picking up some more of the fruit. "Oh?" Helios tilted his head, looking as a shadow ran past the roots of the tree. As it stepped into the light, it was none other than a Jackalope. Oh the irony. "We won't take all of them." Helios assured, gently rolling one of them on the grass towards the creature. The Jackalope stared at it before beginning to munch, a few babies hurrying over to do the same. "Hey, Aura, if I may ask, what will you do when the war is over? When we are allowed to return home?"

- Aura - Near Mystran encampment - With Helios -

"There was no other way, ever since I was a child we had to adapt. With our Mother gone Aurion and I had to adapt to survive." she answered calmly, "We always had each other's backs, and I hope we can do the same too."
Aura looked as the Jackalope and the few babies as they began to eat the fruit Helios gave them.

"Me? I don't really know. To tell the truth, Helios, me and my brother never had a plan in mind," Aura answered, "We wanted to find a peaceful place to call home, but after that? I have no idea."

The young woman looked at the bouque she had on her arms, then back at the small creatures. This world was a strange, beautiful one, maybe, just maybe, she could find her place here.

"Perhaps I will stay up here, If I am allowed after all of this is over. Rabiyu, the white haired elf woman, said that we could travel to the north with her and Sifrei, the archangel, that we would be welcomed there." Aura answered, "Maybe I will take on her offer. She told me that I would fit right in in the Divine City of Water, wherever that may be. Or I could ask for a plot of land, I could always go back to my roots."

Aura could see herself tending to the crops, just like Melian, her mother, did before. Sure, things worked different in the Overworld it seemed, but Aura guessed that farms were still necessary, at least she hoped.

"Maybe a little journey around the Overworld, to get to know it better? To see what it has to offer. Or...or..." Aura said, not finding words to express what she wanted to say, "Anyways. We will see, Helios, we will see. Fate is a strange thing, it tends to change whenever we least expect it. How about you? What are your plans for the future?

- Soren Monroe, the Penitent Traitor - Kilkis Seres Campgrounds w/ Yevgeni -

Soren resisted the temptation to scowl at Yevgeni as he seemed to feign ignorance, though while Soren couldn't say for sure if he was, the demon's treachery surely had to be known to all by now. He had heard enough whispers at the Campgrounds as it was. "Haven't you heard about my treachery, bordering on high treason, during the Battle Between Worlds?" Soren spoke as he followed Yevgeni behind the tent, a small part of him was worried about what was to come from this encounter, but he pushed it to a corner of his mind for he had to be calm and thoughtful in this discussion. "I'm certain I was dramatic enough in my crisis of faith in front of Shiva and both armies that I could've been heard by those who reside in the North." Soren snarked at his own expense, noting his surrender to Shiva and forfeiture of his rights to live before being, unceremoniously "forgiven" and allowed in the Camp.

He would then listen intently to Yevgeni's words, his surprise at the role of Regent being placed upon his shoulders did seem genuine, no one could've expected Shiva's death, especially one so brutal and sudden. "It certainly is. For me, a surprise was Shiva's forgiveness to me. Huh, if you could call it that." Soren added as he sat upon the second crate. "At least, the one she spoke in public." He the noted, before clearing his throat, then began to answer Yevgeni's question: What could he do for him?

"Oh, I just wanted to talk. I can't imagine how you must be feeling right now." Soren started, reaching into his coat pocket, but raised his free hand to calm Yevgeni should he have gotten concerned. "You stand at the precipice of peace and war. I just wonder what you will decide to do from here..." Soon he pulled out a small metal box, opening the top and taking something from it: A small, pink cupcake. He had taken a stockpile of them from Mystras and miraculously they had remained intact despite his battles. "Sorry, I've been famished for a while, do you mind?" Soren spoke politely, as he truly wished to be kind to Yevgeni, oblivious to his role in Nergal's assassination of Queen Shiva.

- Meksis, the Divided - Ivany's Tent -

The Alchemist speaking of the inevitability of Maxis's fall only made Meksis's heart sink with sorrow, yet he still remained determined to keep his infection at bay and find some way of saving him. Soon after, Ivany explained how Meksis was different from his brother in armour and blood, stating he was part of the second generation of Living Armours, tailored to be more resistant to corruption and other such forces due to an admittedly ingenious method: Use their old shell of a body as a vessel for the dark energies to keep them fighting for longer. "Hmph. Yet still they decommissioned us and left us to rust away...and die." Meksis mused, looking down to his right as he did, then focusing back on Ivany as she continued, seeming to come to a concerning realization. It was then she slammed her book shut and walked over to the Chaperone.

"Your other self...your original body, is out there. And since he isn't in a state in which he can soak up your corruption anymore...you're building up on it."

The energies of Light and Darkness rushed over his body for a brief second as shock and fear overtook Meksis. "What?!" He then exclaimed, dreading just what his body could be doing right this moment and what it meant for him and Maxis. "You're...you're saying he has become Hollow?" Meksis groaned, the Defiled pressed down on his heart due to the increasing negativity he was feeling. "Then he'd seek to seed chaos and unrest...and, if he has become alive, well I don't really know then, but maybe..." Meksis then grunted in frustration, rising to his feet sharply. "Perhaps he killed Shiva. B-But I cannot jump to conclusions yet...wha-what do I do--aaagh!!" He suddenly screamed in agony for but a moment, his breathing becoming laboured again as he forced the Defiled back as much as he could.

"...what...do I do, Ivany?" He whispered, his knees wobbling but not giving way. The darkness was now a heavy burden not unlike a boulder being pressed upon his shoulders.

- Nergal, the Queenslayer, Remnant of Meksis -

Nergal had now disappeared from view of anyone in the Kilkis Campsite, though his departure was halted by a strange feeling: A tinge of pain in his chest, yet it was not his own, but a remnant of someone else's agony...

"Meksis...you're in pain..." He uttered to himself in surprise, not expecting to still have any sort of connection to his former spirit...the one that left him long ago to inhabit an armour. The pain that Meksis was enduring was not natural, neither was it ceasing, yet Nergal could only feel a very, very occasional tinge as if it were a weak aftershock. Even through these weak tremors, he could feel the pain of something else entirely and it was separate from the agony he was suffering from...it was heartbreak. On top of all of this, Meksis felt despair for someone he cared about...

"Maxis, too...? Hmm...you always did care about him more than your own body. But don't you worry, Meksis...I still have a few plans for you. Then losing Maxis, or your own will, shall be the least of your problems today." Nergal clenched his fist over his chest with the hand he held over it in response to the pain, before lowering it and continuing to stalk the shadows, patiently waiting for his next task...and for when he could see the wondrous splendor that was Yevgeni once more.

- Helios - Side: Mystras - /w Aura -

Helios listened to Aura as he watched the Jackalopes eat the fruit. "I've never been to the north. That's the land of the angels and powerful heavenly beings. I've heard it is a beautiful place. You should take the chance, and see if you like it. Maybe then I can visit you." Helios said, gently sitting down as he rested his back against the tree. When Aura asked him about what he would do, Helios hummed. "For the first 300 or so years of my life I dedicated myself to exploring as much of this world as I could, meeting new people, discovering species for myself. I think..." Helios paused, tapping his finger against his lips in thought. "I want to do so much, actually. For one, I want finish exploring, and finish my notes. I want to write books, too. About the species of both worlds, their habits and psychology, a brand new Beastiary which offers a much more in depth view of the creatures than ever before. I'll definitely write about this war of what came before and after. That way everyone's story is told, like I promised it would. Even if time forgets, at least the scripture will remain for the future." Helios smiled at Aura. "But, I've already made promises to keep first. To show you around Kilkis Seres, to travel with Henry, to help with the recovery effort in the world below. I want to do so much, but I have many years ahead of me, and I don't plan to waste them." Helios said, watching as the creatures finished the fruit to its core before hurrying off along their way. He glanced at Aura. "Feeling better? The tents can get a bit claustrophobic, can't they?"

{Mariel: Mystras Camp}

Mariel let out a breath with the end of Raiden's speech, thankful for the lack of attempts on his life during it. Part of her felt she should stick close to him to ensure he was safe through this unstable time, but that was a stop gap measure. The only way to ensure safety not just Raiden but many others was to find the true killer and bring them to justice. The Guardian Angel had to admit she wasn't the best suited for this task, but she had to try. She would need to meet back up with Sifrei and see if he could still aid her. Perhaps his colleague Rabiyu could offer insight on their culprit. There was also the case of the person Alastor had taken from the crowd that worried her.

Deciding to check on the Storm's possible capture, Mariel started to head for the tents when she was approached by Everyth. Great. Complications.

"Not his court, no." She answered, wishing she had taken the form of an elf or something. "I was a scout hired for the reputation of my family."

She paused a moment, considering trying to maintain some semblance of her cover, but decided against it.
