- Alastor - The Draconic Storm - Vs Rhaedyn and Nergal -

Alastor was satisfied that his spell would land in full, Nergal had no way of escaping it as it was cast, thanks to the barriers, although he raised an eyebrow in surprise as Rhaedyn managed to conjure a barrier to buy Nergal time to escape. Nergal could indeed escape. But he'd have to be quick or else Indignation would break through Rhaedyn's barrier and crash onto him anyway, he'd have to find a way to break through the barriers, which were very strong. Albeit maybe void energy could get past them somehow.

Alastor did not waste time, as Rhaedyn and Nergal were preocupied. One with saving soldiers and Nergal, and Nergal going to attempt to break out of Indignation.

What did Alastor do? he did not attack them in this moment of vulnerability, after all he was pretty vulnerable himself after casting such a mighty spell, even though he didn't feel exhausted. Alastor extended his right arm, now exposed towards the sky. Thunder to strike into his hand as he absorbed the electricity from the thunderstorm. Electricity flowing freely accross his body causing his dragon tatoos to glow as well. Alastor was...recovering. Both physicaly and magicaly, this recovery state would remain for some time, at least until the spell was over and Nergal had escaped. Or taken the blast.

After all, he was still up against two opponents, even if one is weakened, it was still to their advantage. 'Should Indignation not work...I may have to use something else...hm.' Alastor pondered.

- Draksis Gunther - The Black knight - Vs Yevgeni -

"You got that right...I do not trust Raiden, or his feys, but my King appears to, the man i've swore loyalty to has chosen to believe Raiden, That is reason enough for me to fight. After all, like it or not, its our only shot at saving our world from its predicament." Draksis replied to Yevgeni in an honest tone, not one to lie he spoke the truth of what he thought to the blond. Even if Yevgeni was an enemy, the man had the right to know the reason for Draksis to engage. Everyone had that right.

Draksis was satisfied enough to see his attack dismount Yevgeni, albeit he frowned the moment the blond cast beams of light to circle him. 'Damn, no way to dodge out of this' Draksis thought as he entered a defensive stance and withstood the attack. Thankfully, the enhancements ot his armor weren't just for show, he endured the attack without much damage to him or his Armor, albeit the force was still felt.

Yevgeni quickly ran forward, after the attack was done, in order to deliver a horizontal slash at him with his rapier, even though in the world below a Rapier would do absolutely nothing to the heavy armor Draksis was wearing, he figured Yevgeni had some more power behind that, and that the Rapier would deal some nasty damage.

Alastor blocked the Rapier with his longsword, and countering with a kick, hopefully knocking the blonde back, as Draksis followed the kick with a strong diagonal slash with his longsword.

.

- Alex - The Prodigy knight - Vs Giant Wendigo -

"Oooh crap" Alex muttered as the Wendigo withstood the fire, this time ripping off its mask, it seemed to be working on it. Although it was still coming at him, this time in particular it was coming at him with claws in full splendor, and all Alex could do was mutter to himself and try to roll out of the way of the attacks.

Alex dodged to the side of the claws, one almost caught him, grazing his armor's side, mostly. Taking the opportunity, he charged at the Giant's legs, this time with his sword out, considering it was enhanced with fire, it could possibly get through the beast's regeneration. He attempted to stab the Giant in right leg from behind.

"I need to knock it down somehow..." Alex muttered to himself.

Jynn Venas-Front Flank VS Raiden

As Jynn nears Raiden, the latter sidesteps out of the way and fires two forked shaped bolts. Jynn managed to dodge one, but he runs into the other. The attack exploded upon impact, and at first it seemed that Raiden finished the prince off, with Jynn on the ground. But then the fey jumps back on to his feet swiftly. This power gave him incredible resistance to electric attacks. Once again, one of Raiden's men attempt to take the prince's life. "I'll finish him!" But as soon as he got too close, Jynn grabs him by the neck, and begins to crush his windpipe. The prince then attempts to jab La Justicerè to the man's face, but he then freezes, almost as if someone was controlling him. His eyes close.

Jynn's mind

Raiden's attack awakens Jynn from his internal slumber. He finds a current of darkness flowing into his head. He severs it with the Leviathan, prompting a portal of light, with Bherna's voice echoing in the distance. "You must stop yourself!" Jynn then proceeds to run towards the portal. The area was becoming brighter and brighter, until he managed to reawaken his real self.

Jynn reawakens with his pupils and sanity back to normal, but his dark power remains. Looking at both La Justicerè and the soldier he was holding by the throat, he realized what he was about to do. Releasing the soldier, he turns back to Raiden, summoning the Leviathan again. The soldier flees in fear. At this point, this power will expire soon, and will leave Jynn completely vulnerable afterwards. Jynn could sense Melstrome's presence above them, but does not give away his position, as the horse will provide a quick getaway. Instead of using this time to subdue Raiden, he uses it to examine what this power can do. He begins with three powerful shockwaves from his swords. One directly at Raiden, and two for if he attempts to dodge. Jynn then fires two orbs moving a extreme speed in between each shockwave. Getting hit by any of these attacks would be devastating.

- Front Flank - Arthur (Side: Rebellion of Mystras) vs Morana (Side: Kilkis Seres) & Alex vs Wendigo Boss -

The Wendigo roared, the smell of burning skin rising through the air. It attempted to grab at Alex, the human quickly dodging. As Alex stabbed the Wendigo's leg, enticing a chilling cry, he would've noticed a crucial witness for every being that were to stand upright. A true Achilles' heel; the Achilles' tendons were exposed. If Alex were to cut them, the Wendigo would have no way of standing any longer. Morana opened her mouth to say more, but stopped at the sound of familiar screaming. She snapped her head back, looking at the Wendigo as it struggled in pain, rushing around wildly. "Oh no!" Morana turned, about to run after her fellow ally, but was stopped as a single lightning bolt shooting past her, scarring her cheek and clipping a single piece of her hair. "We're not done yet." Arthur said, his sword pointed at her as the end of the blade hissed from the lightning. "If you can have enough empathy for every kind in this world, you should be able to have empathy for my kind too." Arthur said, spinning the sword around his fingertips. Morana groaned, glaring back at Arthur. "I could give less of a damn about your kind! The Queen has granted my kind the chance to live in peace when anyone else would've hunted us down due to our very beings! I don't get the feeling that humans would receive us just as gracefully!" Morana hissed. "Well, at least we both know how it feels to be on the both ends of a burning candle; all being held by this stubborn Queen of yours." Arthur hissed. "I haven't even met her and I already hate her." "Then you understand where I stand." Morana raised her claws once more. "I will fight for the Queen for my right in this world. If it means that I have to kick you humans out and back to where you came from, then so be it." She hissed. "I wouldn't have expected anything else." Arthur spat out some saliva mixed with blood. He swore that there was a tooth lose in there. "If I'm going down...you better give me one hell of a fight. Because these scratches are nothing."

- Henry and Maxis - The battle of the armors - Kilkis Seres's middle bettwen mid and right flanks. -

"Why do I feel weakened all of a sudden?" Henry questioned, with an anguished tone as his stamina seemed to be draining somehow, it was impossible that Maxis's attack left him exhausted like this...there must be something else going on.

'Your stamina's being drained...was it something he did?' Ariana questioned, to which Henry shook his head, 'I don't know.'

"Jesus for a juggernaut you flew quite far away haven't you Henry?" Maxis spoke in his unnervingly jovial tone as he continued towards him in a relaxed walk. "You can barely stand up...why is that?" Maxis let out a sadistic chuckle at the end.

"So It was you..." Henry confirmed as he barely got himself to stand on one knee. "But ho-" Before Henry could finish the second word of his sentence Maxis had already dashed towards him and delivered a kick to his chest, sending Henry recoiling back a few meters. Coughing as he lost his breath with the blow.

"You're wheezing". Maxis pointed out, as he simply walked towards Henry again.

'Henry you have to get up!'

'I know dammit...but I can't...'

Henry was struggling to even move his body, whatever Maxis did. Did a nasty number on him. "Did you...poison me?" Henry asked Maxis a question in disbelief at the Armor's tactics.

"Poison?...mmmmaybe?" Maxis replied, "Or maybe it wasn't poison...and more like..." Maxis spoke, holding out his hand as Madness energy began to flow around in, in a liquid form, almost seeming like goo. "Or maybe was it this?" Maxis spoke, as the madness energy that covered his arm in its slime-like substance shifted itself into an arm blade.

"Let me ask you something...did you really insult my queen?" Maxis asked Henry with genuined, albeit sadistic, curiosity. Henry simply scoffing as he managed to get himself into a kneeling positon, whatever Maxis did, seemed to be wearing off as his exhaustion as passing with time.

"Your queen tried to justify the death of the world below with petty excuses and bias...what do you think?" Henry rudely repleid to Maxis.

"Aha!, So you did insult her! Not that it matters really, i'd kill you either way...except now its going to be slow and painful" Maxis let out a sadistic giggle as he ran up at Henry with his arm blade drawn.

Henry managed to catch Maxis's arm, managing to hold back the arm blade, but his weakened state caused him to stumble backwards as Maxis pushed him to the ground, ending up on top of him, attempting to stab him, in a power struggle.

"After im done with you...i'l go after your friends, i'l kill those twin friends of yours, and that griffin boy as well..." Maxis taunted Henry, striking a nasty nerve in him as he feebly held back Maxis's arm blade. The excess madness energy beggining to 'spread' onto his arm in liquid form, expanding within Henry's arm. This not only caused extreme pain physicaly but it also seemed to be...affecting his mutations.  As his rock-like skin began to twist iself, hardenning and softening as well as shifting itself. The feeling itself was like torture. But he had to hold on

"You would not dare!" Henry spoke through gritted teeth and visible anger and pain. As Maxis laughed maniacly, shaking his head sideways in disapproval before staring right back at Henry, leaning his head a bit closer. "And who will stop me? you?" Maxis spoke, as he was overpowering Henry, the arm blade now touching Henry's chest as the madness energy began to spread to his chest area as well, this twisted, unnatural magic began to affect Henry's very being causing his mind to break apart even if all it did was spread accross his arm and chest...and it was moving towards his head. Henry was using all of his leftover strenght to hold it back. As the energy began to spread to his neck and head.

'I..can't...hold it...'

'Henry...your mind, its deteriorating...this magic is affecting your mind...'

'Grr...'

'Henry? Henry?!'

'...'

'Don't worry...i'l handle this..'

(Guess what?)

Its a cliffhanger!

- Alex - The Prodigy knight - Vs Giant Wendigo -

As Alex stabbed the Wendigo's back legs, his sword cut through the rotten flesh as expected, like a literal hot knife through butter, except the hot knife was a overheated sword and the butter was decaying and smelly skin.

The smell itself was nauseating, Alex had to fight all of his senses just not to puke. if he had to fight this thing any longer, he'd probably puke inside his helmet, and that would not be good.

Alex noticed that with his attack, it left the Wendigo's tendons exposed. This was the perfect moment to strike, topple the beast, and incapacitate it completely. Of course he went after the exposed tendons of the beast, however doing so would leave him extremely vulnerable should the beast swipe at him at the same time he did the attack. But Alex had to risk it, activating his sword's enhancement once again as the sword caught on fire. Alex did one last lunge towards the Tendons, swinging at them with all his might.

-Rhaedyn Thaneand Nergal, vs Alastor-

As the shield went up and Thane stood strong...and he raised his spear as Alastor began to heal.

"First of Iron, guide my spear."

And thus, Rhaedyn Thane threw his mighty spear with every bit of magical strength at Alastor in his moment of recovery, an idea that for some reason people didn't do. He never understood why some allowed their foes to heal.

There was a time for honor.

This was not such a time.

-Eclaire vs Alderon-

"We shall." Holding her side briefly, she held Overture out to her side. The blade lengthened longer, and she glared. Kicking off, she charged Alderon Niles. "I won't let you Shiva!" she roared. Her body began to glow as for once, her body found harmony. Her want to protect...and the lust that was giving way to love. Her sword began changing. The blade, decorated with Valkyric script, now had a new addition - Succubi script. She leaped forward, aiming to pierce Alderon's chest - but this time, with sword aglow.

"Light Seal - Zion's Harmony!" She roared, and thrust her blade out.

- Front Flank - Arthur (Side: Rebellion of Mystras) vs Morana (Side: Kilkis Seres) & Alex vs Wendigo Boss -

The Wendigo screamed out in pain, the the tendons snapping loose at the Alex's sword. With no tension to keep his legs upwards, the Wendigo struggled, before toppling down, falling on his knees hard before falling face first, shaking the ground beneath. The Wendigo groaned in pain, by this point his frame shaking in exhaustion. It clawed into the ground, attempting to push itself back up only to keep his head hanging low, too exhausted. He was low enough for a perfect decapitation. Morana gasped as she heard her kind scream in pain, turning to see it now on its knees, in pain, struggling. She gritted her teeth, snapping her gaze back and forth from the Wendigo to Arthur and back again. "You can only fight one of us at a time." Arthur warned. "So you better choose wisely." Morana shook her head, groaning loudly in frustration. "Why can't you humans just accept your fate and die and leave us alone?!" Morana asked, extending her claws as she glared at Arthur. "This world isn't yours!" Morana roared, running at Arthur once more. Arthur dodged an upcoming slash, light on his feet as he slammed his shield towards Morana. She dodged, bending back before attempting to high kick Arthur, who in turn dashed back to avoid the hit. Morana landed on the ground again, glaring at Arthur. "If you hadn't come up here looking for trouble this war would've never happened!" Morana yelled. Arthur scoffed. "If you would just take down the barrier, we wouldn't even be having this conversation!" Arthur yelled back. Morana reached to her satchels. She had used up all of her seeds on that shield before. But she still had...a potion. She looked down at it, popping it open. Now, drinking the whole thing at once was anything but healthy...but she saw no choice. She drank the whole thing in a single gulp, emptying the glass before letting it drop and shatter on the ground beneath. She could feel her energy levels rising, a rush of it all racing through her veins. "GO TO HELL!" Morana screamed, the energy surging from her body, spreading into the ground beneath, reaching into the roots of the earth. The ground shook beneath Arthur, roots suddenly emerging upwards, wrapping themselves around Arthur like tentacles. Arthur screamed, struggling as he felt the roots hold him tight. Thorns grew into the roots, stabbing into his skin the tighter the roots wrapped themselves. Arthur couldn't move. He could barely breathe as he saw the roots wrap around him, surrounding him as it covered him in a cocoon of roots, thorns growing into his skin. Before long, he only saw darkness. Morana held control, glaring at Arthur as she pressed her fists, wrapping the cocoon tighter and tighter, attempting to squeeze the life out of Arthur, to crush him to death.

A little Morana cried, using her arms to wipe away her tears as she stood alongside the rest of the Wendigo clan. They all stood solemnly, surrounding a single figure that lay right in the middle. She lay in a flowerbed, a single white sheet covering her body from sight. Compared to the rest of the Wendigo, this figure was smaller, more delicate; a Fey. The Wendigo hummed, singing, their voices in harmony together as a chant, a choir, their song echoing across the forest. Morana hiccuped, wiping her tears away as she felt her father's hand on her shoulder. "I w-want mommy back!" Morana demanded, stomping her foot defiantly. "We wish for her to return too. But it is far too late for that. We can't create miracles." Her father assured her. Morana shook her head. "Why would they do that?!" She asked, looking up at him in desperation. "She's just like them! She didn't do anything wrong! We didn't do anything wrong! How could they do that?!" Morana screamed, her body shaking. Her father gently rubbed her cheek with his claws, rubbing her head with his other hand. "Not everyone understands, nor views the world the same. Some are more accepting than others, like your mother was. Others simply refuse to believe that certain beings should be allowed to exist. Hybrid children of species, Sucubi, Wendigo...they view the world much differently than we do, and because of those differences, the results can be catastrophic. Sometimes it causes war...sometimes it causes tragedy." He explained, gently pulling Morana over to the body, standing besides it, closer than before. Morana sniffled, rubbing her eyes until they turned red. "Will the same happen to us...?" Morana asked. "No. The Queen has been very kind. We are allowed to exist, as long as we remain kind, and not cause chaos. Because of this, not even simple things like this must break our goal. Even when we mourn." He explained. Morana looked up. "What's the goal?" "To survive." Her father reached under the sheet, gently pulling the pale arm of his beloved into view. "We exist for a reason. Whether intentional or accidental. But we exist, and therefor, we must survive." He said, turning to Morana. "The world is an unfair place, Morana. But one must survive, and fight for their rightful place in it. You must remember that." Morana hummed, nodding a bit, using her dress to dry away the tears from her arms. "Now. Come, Morana. You must eat up." He said, offering her mother's arm. It was tradition, after all. They could only eat the dead. Not a single person, or body, was ever wasted. Morana blinked a few times, taking hold of her mother's arm. It was colder than what she used to be. "Goodbye, momma." Morana said, before opening her mouth and biting down with a bone piercing crunch.

"Where are you going?!" The man stopped, standing in the rain, just a few feet away from his home. He wore a cloak with a hood that covered his face in shadows, whatever skin that did show pierced with weathered scars. A young Arthur stood on the doorway, glaring at the figure's back as warm tears escaped his face. "Where are you going?!" Arthur asked again, screaming over the pounding of the rain. The man shrugged. "Away from here." He hummed. "Why?!" "Don't act so dumb, you know why." "WHY?!" Arthur stepped out, not minding the rain. "Why would you do that?! Why would you be so stupid to throw your life away like that?! You always told me how much it meant to you! How hard our family worked to get to where we were, how much grandfather had to do to gain the respect to his name, and yet you threw it all away for your own vices! Have you any idea what you have done?!" Arthur screamed, his father remaining silent throughout his rant. "You've disgraced us! Mom, sister, I, everyone who bears the Gancelot name! All for your selfish desires!" Arthur screamed, stepping closer as the rain picked up. "And you think the best decision, after everything you've done, is to leave?! To leave US?!" Arthur asked. Silence. Instead the man shrugged and began to walk again, only for Arthur to reach after him. "ANSWER ME!" Arthur shrieked, gripping a hold of the man's sleeve, pulling it harshly as he dug his heels into the mud to pull him back. The man seemed unaffected, only taking a moment before backhanding Arthur with enough force to send the kid flying back into the mud, landing with a splash. Arthur quickly sat up, holding his cheek as it slowly turned red in the shape of a palm, glaring up. "I have disgraced nothing." The man began. "Names are meaningless. They are simply a title. Nothing more. Nothing less. You think you deserve to feel so hurt? Look around you, Arthur. Open your eyes to the reality of the world. There are many out there who wished they could be like you. Born without hunger, without fear, with someone to look after them. Yet look at you, taking it all for granted." He said, turning back, only to kick Arthur back further, sending the kid rolling in the mud. "My actions are my own. They don't affect you, nor your sister, nor your mother. For that, I will take care of them, on my own." He said. Arthur glared up. "But what about us?!" He yelled. The man paused, turning away from him. "What about you?" The man let out a chuckle. "You feel disgraced? You feel that you need to make it right? Then fix it. This world is no fairy tale, there are no happy endings." The man said, raising his arm. Arthur gasped, raising his arms over his head, preparing for a blow. Instead he heard the splash of something. Opening his eyes, he saw his father's sword being thrown right in front of him. "Fix it yourself. Bring honor or whatever it is that you say I took back to the name that you bear. See if I care. See if it makes any difference. The only way to leave a mark in this world, to bring change, is by actions. Tears and mourning won't do a damn thing. If you truly think you can fix all of this just like you said...then go ahead and try." The man said, chuckling to himself as he walked away. Arthur gritted his teeth, picking up the sword from the mud. He unsheathed it, revealing the sterling blade. He stood on his feet, picking up the heavy sword with both hands, running straight at his father. He roared above the sound of thunder, swinging the sword at him, hoping, aiming to hurt him. To hurt him like he had hurt them. He didn't last long. As he swung the blade, his father turned on his heels, dodging it like nothing, before grabbing Arthur by the throat and slamming him into the ground beneath. Arthur gasped, the air escaping his lungs from the impact as he dropped the sword. He rushed his hands to his neck, scratching at the pressure of his father's palm. Oxygen left him quicker than he could recover it, his vision blurring as all he could hear was the sound of the rain falling around him. He could only stare at his father's eyes before everything turned black. The next time he awoke, he wasn't fully sure if it was a dream or not. He watched his father lay him on the porch, laying the sword next to him. "It's better this way." He hummed, rubbing Arthur's head before turning away. "Be brave, Arthur. This world will need change, and you will have to make it so." His father whispered, and with that, he stepped into the rain. The last thing Arthur saw was his father disappear in a single bolt of lightning before losing his consciousness.

"Dad!"

From the sky above lightning crackled, swirling around in circles before striking. Morana's eyes widened as she watched the lightning strike the cocoon of roots she had created, creating an explosion as the roots turned ablaze. Instead of regular fire, blue flames surrounded the cocoon, burning it into ashes and everything inside of it. As pieces of roots fell, Morana expected to see Arthur's corpse. Instead he saw him standing, sword and shield in hand, his eyes wide open. A blue aura surrounded him...along with lightning, freely crackling across his body with no effect on him. "What...the hell?!" Morana took a step back. Arthur blinked, twirling his sword with ease as he raised it, before slamming it down into the earth. Lightning proceeded to travel across the ground beneath, burning paths of grass along with it, reaching into the feet of enemy soldiers, sending shocks of lightning straight into their bodies. Morana jumped into the air, dodging it. However, from the ground, the lightning shot up, wrapping itself around Morana's leg. Morana screamed in pain, the lightning burning her skin as it traveled across her body. Arthur moved his hand, the lightning wrapped around Morana moving, before slamming Morana down into the ground, letting go only when it had slammed her down a second time for good measure, an imprint of her body on the ground. Morana coughed up blood, gasping in pain across her body as the lightning retreated, Arthur landing on the ground with ease, the lightning still wrapped around him, almost...protectively. Though he seemed awake his mind was...somewhere else, gentle tears dripping down his cheeks. A walking bomb with no kill trigger. He had to wake up...or risk killing himself or someone he never intended to.

- Lord Raiden, Mystras, Left Flank, VS Jynn -

What's with soldiers and their adamant decisions to get in the way and get themselves nearly or inadvertently killed?  Raiden did not know, but it was more than high time to issue a new order to the surrounding area.

"No more idiocy!  Those who interrupt and attack the prince will be thrown upon my blade, no excuses allowable!" he shouted about him, watching the young fool that took on the prince flee with his tail in between his legs.  Perhaps this was quite literal, given Mystran soldiery was made up of a healthy assortment of animorphic individuals, but his concentration was fixated on Jynn thanks to his specific search magic.

The prince seemed different once more, his pattern less erratic and his mind seemingly clearer and less bullheaded.  And that forked bolt did not seem to do much against this power, and seemingly left no scar or burns.  Was it similar to his lightning armour, without the quickening effect?  That was not good, not at all.  The best way to do things in the end was to use his sword, and that meant no more weaponised lightning, at least in an external sense.

The air shifted, and the first shockwave was launched.  The Mystran ruler acted quickly.  Raiden cut through it with a harnessed thunderbolt forged by his own lightning, doubling his arsenal from one sword to two as he proceeded to safely cut through the remaining two shockwaves with both blades.  These area-of-effect spells were dangerous for his soldiers behind him, and it was imperative to take care of as many dangers as possible when every man counted.  The last move Jynn proceeded to accomplish was trickier, two projectiles flashing to existence in the corner of his vision and firing at him at a ferocious pace.  Unable to parry the projectiles, Raiden was forced to dodge the two orbs, leaping backward and above them.

"You're learning quick," he commented, honestly impressed, "though it would take more than copycatting to beat me back to my ranks."

In a swift motion upon landing, Raiden ground his heels into the dirt and sprinted forward, faster than fast and covering the distance between the two.  Assuring his lightning sword was not in the way of The Leviathan, considering it seemingly eats lightning, he performed a flurry of swings of mixed angles towards Jynn, at first with both weapons and at the end with only his steel greatsword, the lightning sword being absorbed by Raiden and its power being used for greater speed.  If Jynn tried to move backwards, Raiden would close the distance.  That was not all, however.  With the final horizontal swing, Raiden released the magic of his greatsword midswing.  All of its great mass was brought back, and, coupled with the unaltered speed of the assault, it could potentially blast Jynn backwards upon blocking, unless he had an ace up his sleeve.  If dodged, Raiden would be at the disadvantage of using a heavier weapon, but he was ready for the possibility.

((Here be Rufus' newfound theme song.  Enjoy!))

- Rufus Contralto, Mystras, Center Flank, with Alderon VS Eclaire -

Eclaire's scripted attack would appear to glimmer and fade from existence when a new challenger stepped into the fray.  Well, not really stepped, but more floated about like an imbecile with his hands out towards the fight.  To Alderon's right and Eclaire's left hovered the not mighty, the ever not impressive, but incredibly never duplicated genie of the lava lamp, Rufus Contralto.

"Step away from the royal!" he cried sonorously in the distance, waiting for Eclaire to look his way so he can give her a tut-tut and a finger wag.  He was able to smother out a portion of her inner magic temporarily, and he was dead-set on preventing any other seals and abilities from being used as well.  "Rufus Lippidont Contralto, at your service, King.  And you.  We've met once before, haven't we?"

He said this to both combatants, looking at Eclaire with curiosity.  What was it about the half-blooded girl that made memories surge up from the recesses of his mind?  Rufus could have sworn that he saw her, if not in another life, but then again he could say that about a good number of people, this Henry and Yevgeni included.  Too bad absolutely nobody else reached his forefront of his mind at that time.

- Reginald Heathertoes, Kilkes Seres, VS Rabiyu -

Reggie scowled at the thought of being merely a distraction for the girl, but said nothing, his emerald eyes glinting as he further observed the girl.  She seemed very much cocky, unaware or unworried of his counterplay against her, but something seemed very much off.  She did not move at all or make a move until the very end, and it was then that he understood that he made a miscalculation.  All of those spear-like stones were aimed for the same location, and all were gobbled greedily up by the mist the elf girl summoned.

Like he predicted, the projectiles were turned against him quite readily, yet like before not all of his preparations could be made to protect him in time.  Reginald lurched and stepped forward in time to avoid the main barrage, but the one ballista bolt behind him caught the tricep at the back of his right arm, shattering bone and leaving it useless and blindingly painful.  He fought back tears and strove to quell the suffering as he shattered the rocky butt of the weapon and extracted the bolt from his arm.

Not all seemed at a loss, however.  Rabiyu, for all intents and purposes, had been caught up by the rocketing stalagmite he made, and he wondered if she could survive such a wound before making it back to a healer.  Perhaps he should try to revivify her just enough to keep her alive and in custody until the battle was won.  She was a worthy opponent, after all, even if to Reginald's standards she was a little mental.

"Your defeat came both slower and quicker than expected.  I would have thought you would dodge that," he voiced no higher than a mutter, approaching wherever she and the stalagmite would land.  He had no idea he was being tricked, and the pain of his right arm only augmented his misunderstanding of the situation.

- Alastor - The Storm - Vs Rhaedyn and Nergal -

Alastor continued to heal unoposed, apparently none of the soldiers decided to attack him as he did so, maybe they were trying to stay safe from Indignation's impending blast of energy? only held back by Thane's barries, which would not hold out for much longer (wink wink). Alastor was able to recover a fair ammount of energy as finally, Rhaedyn, the iron lord attacked.

Alastor reacted to the spear in time to move aside, however the reaction was slowed down due to the healing process and the spear ended up damaging a good part of his armor. He simply turned towards Rhaedyn, unshaken as lightning flowed freely throughout his body. He rubbed his left hand onto his armor's chest plate which Rhaedyn's spear had damaged. Notable damage, but the armor would have to hold. Alastor was simply silent as he glanced at the Indignation. And what would happen if Nergal were to break through the glyph runes.

He decided not to attack Rhaedyn back, not because he was still healing...but because in doing so he'd endanger some of the soldiers hiding behind the man. This fight was between Nergal, Rhaedyn and him. And that it would also mean he'd be putting himself in the blast Radius of Indignation's shockwave...

- Alex - THe Prodigy Knight - Triumph over the Giant Wendigo -

And with his attack came...a sad scene, the beast falling to its knees, unable to stand up due to Alex having cut her tendons off, the beast was in a sad state, unable to even fight anymore.

Alex remained quiet, slowly walking around the Wendigo, the only noise Alex could hear was the Wendigo's pained grunts, and his armor's clanking as he walked towards its head.

As he stood beside the beast's head. Alex hesitated, this monster had killed many of his allies, and for that, he could not just let it live. An eye for an eye, or so they say.

Brandishing his sword and looking upon it,  conflicted, it seemed harmless now. "May you pass on to a better plane, free of pain and suffering." Alex spoke, making a small prayer with a gesture with his free hand as he then held his sword up high. "lm sorry." Alex finished as he slashed down toward the beast's neck, now exposed and low enough for him to reach it.

- Henry and Maxis - The battle of the armors - Revelations -

"You wish to what?!" An old man's angrily shouted at his son, who was not much older than fourteen. The son stepped back in surprise, but quickly recomposed himself. "Dad, if I become a soldier, a knight! I can provide for us, and protect us!" The son replied, half knowing it would fall on deaf ears. "No son of mine will interact with those men. We're damn well fine the way we are right now!" The old man spoke, his voice only getting higher and higher, "My father was a farmer, and his father before him, our family's generations have been tending this farm. You will follow in my footsteps, as you should!" The old man spoke, without lowering his voice at any moment, causing the kid to grit his teeth and scoff back at him.

"Can't you see that our farm is dying?! Every year the harvest gets less and less plentiful, every year the land dies more and more. At least a knight i'l be-" The boy was abruptly interrupted by a slap in his cheek, from his father. The kid just stood there, in chock at what the man did. His mother, watching in the background was horrified at the sight of the father beating his son. As was not the family's custom. The old man looked back at his hand, horrified, but his expression turned from horror to a blank one. "So...Thats what you think?" The man spoke simply looking over his Son, who was only just recomposing himself from the slap. "Y-yes...Everyone can see that the farm is dying, even with our best efforts." The son spoke. Which caused the man to scoff angrily as he grabbed the boy by the shoulder and dragged him...to the front door, opening it with a loud creak as he threw the boy out onto the night. "No son of mine will interact with those men...if you wish to become a knight...then you're no son of mine." THose words pierced the boy's chest like a spear, the boy felt his heart wrench and twist as his father spoke those words. "As of today...you are not a Tancreed anymore" The old man spoke, as he closed the door in the boy's face...

"Oh come on, where was all that bravado...all that tough guy act from before huh?!" Maxis spoke, laughing maniacly. With his armblade almost piercing Henry's skin. "Don't tell me thats all you got!" Maxis taunted again and again with no response from Henry. Whose eyes were empty as that of a dead body. His pupils lifeless.

"Well...I guess you weren't tha-" Maxis's taunt was interrupted as Henry used his left hand to hold back Maxis's arm and blade as his right hand shot straight to Maxis's throat, as Maxis began to be overpowered by this seemingly 'dead' body. Henry pulled him closer, to an point blank eye stare, as Henry's eyes flashed a purple color as he threw Maxis back, with a strong throw, Maxis was thrown a few meters back, sliding accross the ground.

"Heh...where did that come from?" Maxis replied, as he slowly rose up. To see Henry standing as well. With no distinguishable aura coming from him. Maxis simply chuckled, "If thats all you got then..." Maxis spoke as he took as tep forward, only to take two back as Henry's aura spiked to extreme levels, as the latter released a roar, pure wrath could be felt from both him and his aura.

"Huh, you mad?" Maxis spoke, shrugging and laughing, he would soon regret that taunt as Henry shot forward like a missile, with extreme force, Maxis was not able to react before Henry delivered a charged haymaker to his torso. Sending him flying again. Except this time much farther. He would find himself with no respite as the moment he landed o nthe ground, before he could even finish sliding. Henry was already next to him, with another dash. Henry's aura felt natural...too natural. It was almost as if...he was a fey himself...His aura was easily visible, shimmering a crimson red, fiery color. As the earth cracked under his feet. Just from the sheer pressure of it.

"How the-" Maxis could barely speak before Henry dalivered a charged punch to Maxis's face, but Maxis was prepared for that, withstanding the attack, as he simply staggered back, with Henry still trying to send him flying again. "My turn!" Maxis spoke, as Henry's fist was still in his face, perfect time for Maxis to deliver a punch of his own. Charging a powerful punch of madness energy...which Henry simply grabbed midway with his off hand. "Wh-what?!" Maxis spoke in surprise. Maxis now had no option, as Henry was not holding one of his arms.

Before Maxis could do anything, Henry released some of the tension in his fist as he ripped Maxis's arm off his armor. And quickly swung his arm back at him, sending the armor flying as if it was a perfect homerun. Henry simply threw the arm onto the ground his eyes glowing a purple color. Was this Henry? or was this someone else?

--Alderon Niles -- Mystras: Center Flank VS Eclaire--

The king held his claymore outstretched, prepared to take the brunt of her attack with his blade, when he suddenly found himself shielded by a genie instead.  He'd seen Rufus briefly back at Lord Raiden's villa, though knew little about his abilities or background.  Genies always fascinated him.

"Thank you, Sir Contralto," Alderon managed, placing a hand on his chest.  "You have spared my life, and it is with much regret that I shall take my leave."

The king glanced around.  His warhorse, Javelin, was seemingly down for the count, and there was no quick way for him to escape the battlefield.  All that he could do was sheath his sword and press onward, though blood was flowing freely from his wound, and he felt weaker with every step.  Even once he did retreat from battle, he wasn't sure if he were going to make it.  Perhaps the Mystran healers were even more experienced than he'd imagined.

Alderon retreated from battle.

--Ren Mordecai -- Mystras: Left flank VS Meksis--

Blood poured from the wound that Meksis had made, cleaving bone, scale, and flesh all in one fell swoop.  His darkened tail fell to the ground, separating Meksis from the black dragon who cried out something fierce.  His form became unstable, and after mere moments the dragon's form had been replaced by the much-smaller redheaded young man, knees in the dirt and sword thrust into the ground.  A wound from his lower back seemed to be bleeding profusely as he drew in shaky deep breaths.

"You are unlike any fey I have ever researched," he murmured darkly through gritted teeth.  "You are indestructible, and your magical stores seem almost unlimited. You could probably take on an entire army and be the last one standing.  Unfortunate for me, I am no army, and have no way of penetrating your defenses."

Releasing his sword, he cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted his friend's name at the top of his lungs.  "HELIOS!"

He hoped that his friend would answer his call, if he could hear him.  Ren could barely move, and stood no chance of escaping Meksis on his own.  If Helios were there, however, he could help him get away.  While Ren was indeed prepared to die in battle, he wasn't envisioning it anything like this.

--Queen Shiva -- Kilkis Seres: Center flank VS Soren and Mariel--

The queen stared as Soren humbled himself at her feet, a frown furrowing her brows.

"I cannot trust someone who is so willing to have a change of heart, all to surrender his new ideals like the drop of a hat.  There is no honor in switching allegiances so freely," she stated flatly, watching Soren, the Fool of the Ages, with a look mixed with disgust and pity.  "However, I have no interest in taking your life.  Leave here, and think long and hard about where your loyalty truly lies.  Find a path you find worthy of fighting for, and then embrace it.  If I were to welcome you back today you may betray me tomorrow, and that is no way for any man to live a successful life."

Not that she didn't understand his wavering heart.  No, hers wavered on a regular basis, and she wished that she could relay to Soren, perhaps more than he knew.  Loyalty was something that had been engrained in her from a very young age, however, and the fact that he would switch his allegiance so willingly bothered her something fierce.  Perhaps it was that very same loyalty that bound Shiva to her ways, despite her differing heart.

She was dismayed, however, when Mariel treated her former comrade so brusquely, but had no time to react when both swords came upon her.  Shiva brought hers up defensively, and it was a blade dance between monarch and angel for quite some time.  Mariel's speed seemingly increased with each blow, and Shiva was hard-pressed to keep up.  Eventually she missed a beat, and one blade met the thin sleeve of her upper arm, not hesitating for even a moment as it sliced it clean through and embedded itself into her flesh.  She drew in a breath as ruby-red blood beaded upon her pale-white flesh before running down the length of her arm.  The damage wasn't intense, but it was enough that would lower her sensation and reaction time within that arm, and perhaps cause more complications with a lack of blood.

Shiva cried out and placed a hand on the ground, causing ice to crawl all along the soil and blades of grass.  An ice pillar emerged from the ground beneath her feet, raising her into the sky with it.  More spears made from ice formed behind the queen, before she leapt off the pillar in Mariel's direction, sword outstretched and spears a short distance behind her.

--Yevgeni -- Kilkis Seres: Left flank VS Draksis--

The blond titled his head, weighing out what Draksis had to say.  This man was perhaps the most intelligent human he'd met so far, having a sound mind not to trust Raiden, and with a loyalty he greatly respected.  "Yes . . . .  Even I cannot deny the points that you have made perfectly clear.  There is no other way to attempt saving your world other than trusting Raiden, though I do hope he chooses to keep his end of the deal when this is all over.  Or, perhaps I should rephrase that"--a smirk stretched the corner of his mouth--"if he has the means to keep his end of the deal.  Does even he know how to lift the barrier between our worlds?"

Draksis met Yev's rapier with his own longsword, shoving the blond back a few paces.  He then sliced the air diagonally, to which Yev managed to bypass by hovering in the air, his wings fluttering slightly.

"Not bad, not bad.  They really train all of you how to use a sword down there, don't they?" Yev's heels hit the ground, his hands gripping his elbows as he watched Draksis with curious green eyes.  "No match for our men.  Kilkis Seres soldiers are useless when it comes to weaponry.  I'm sure that your forces would have no issue crushing them, save for those actually trained in magic."

"It's not too late to be hired on as a swordsman, you know.  Not that I could ever see you betraying your king, but unlike the queen I see the usefulness of humans within our world.  Your quality of life could improve, our resources could expand.  It would be a win-win for us all.  Don't you agree, Lord Draksis?"

- Rabiyu - Rebellion of Mystras - between center and right flank -

Rabiyu had some time to think while faking being impaled by the stalagmite, how to kill the druid was always first.

"It would have been highly improbable for him to dodge his own attack, once I'm down, I will be able to think of a more suitable way for me to finish him," she thought, "quickly and without pain, or slowly and with varying degrees of pain, perhaps?

Oh yeah, he was going to suffer a slowly and painful death at her hands. The Elf braced herself for impact once she and the stalagmite were close to the ground. She had a few small spherical vials of dragon blood hidden on her clothes, and once she hit the ground, they smashed and smudge the blood around her stomach area and on the ground where she landed. A pretty good illusion.

She had to contain her breath to simulate her being out, she could hear the Druid getting closer and closer with each passing second. By the quick glance she had, the Druid's arm had been rendered useless for the time being, and that was good in her eyes. The dagger hiding under the cloak was ready to deal the finishing blow, in a matter of seconds the enemy would be lying in a pool of his own blood.

Once Reginald was close enough to the Elf, she quickly pushed herself up, spin around, and used her dagger to attack the Druid's throat, she had the intention of beheading the fey, that was the plan, but something made her stop at the last second, mere inchest before she could deal the blow.

"I could have your head right now, you know. I could take your soul and consume it. Even take it to a necromantic dragon for him to play with it until he got bored," she said coldly while her eyes slowly regained their normal, calm look, "but that is not me. Everything that was said in this fight was not something I meant, not consiously, at least.."

The Elf slowly retracted her weapon and took a few steps back. Something inside her mind was kicking and screaming for her to finish the druid off, she had the choice, and she chose to let him live.

"I ask that you do not underestimate me next time, Master Druid, or it could cost you your life," Rabiyu said as she took out a vial of healing potion and threw it at him, "This will help you with your wounds, it will not fully heal them, but it will help until you can return to other healers."

Rabiyu turned around and began walking towards the remaining healers. She stoped and turned to look at the Druid.

"I realize that it is somewhat late, but allow me to introduce myself. My name is Eliltari of House Ëar, Judge Magister of the Imperial City of Exire and retainer of the Tide Mother from Heimdall," Rabiyu said to Reginald while slowly taking out Rufus's lava lamp from under her misty cloak, "May I have the honor of learning the name of such an impressive wielder of magic? One who managed to create an artifact such as this one."

Now that she was calm enough, Rabiyu had the time to think why the arcane energy coming from the Druid felt familiar, she had felt it within the lamp that belonged to Rufus the djinni. This fey had the answer to that, HE  was the answer to, perhaps, free Rufus from his prison.

- Aurion vs Fenrir - Rebellion of Mystras - Center Flank -

Aurion was at his limit, his wounds were healing slowly thanks to the enchantment within the sword's scabbard, and yet the werewolf was making more damage than the spell could heal.

"How much can you last, Little Human? Your angelic friend is gone with the other human, the djinni is gone too," Fenrir said, "There is no one else but you and me."

The young human kept looking at the fey, just in case he tried something.

"So what? That doesn't mean I can't stop you," Aurion answered, "You hurt my sister, and I will take you down if I need to."

Fenrir's laugh could be heard loudly, he was amused that the weak human even considered that he could defeat him, and he was going to prove him wrong.

"Famous last words, Human," he said with a wicked smile, "but this ends now!"

The Werewolf lunged at Aurion, while he tossed the scabbard to the side and ran towards the werewolf. The Fey thrust his claw, piercing the human through his chest, while Aurion pierced Fenrir's chest, and his heart, with his sword. Fenrir kept smiling.

"Your attack is nothing, Human," he said coldly, "it will heal in a moment, then I will search for that fema-agh!"

There was a powerful blast coming from the Werewolf's back before he fell backwards, the life gone from his eyes, and taking out his claw from Aurion. Aurion on the other hand remained standing still, his hair was fluttering in the wind. In that moment the Archangel appeared behind him.

"I'm back. Your sister is being threated by the healers right now, they said that she will wake up in a few hours, but besides that everything is alright," Sifrei said while kneeling next to Fenrir to check if he was truly dead, "I'm surprised that you managed to defeat this one, Aurion. I'm sure the other humans will be impressed when-"

Sifrei's smile disappeared when he noticed the wound left on Aurion's chest. He slowly made his way towards the human and noticed the faint smile that remained on his lips. Feelings of guilt quickly rushed into the Archangel's chest as he knew that, not even with his superior speed, he had managed to return quickly enough to prevent the tragedy that took place.

Sifrei would forever remember that day as the day a brave human fought against a powerful werewolf and won, even when he gave his life in the process.

(Aurion has fallen)

- Helios - Front Flank - Side: Kilkis Seres - With Ren - VS. Meksis -

Helios kept the masses of soldiers away from the fight, bringing their attention to him and away from his friend. It wasn't until the piercing scream ad the scent of familiar blood that Helios' attention was snapped away. Helios turned around, his ears perking up as his pupils sharpened. "(Ren.)" Helios thought. Then he heard his name, yelled in a voice he thought he would never hear again. The distress in it alone spoke volumes, sending Helios into a frenzy. He turned his body, slamming his tail on the ground beneath, crushing the floor and sending soldiers flying, as he darted into the sky. His eyes quickly scanned the battlefield, his senses sharpened as he narrowed down the red haired Fey...and his wound. He didn't hesitate, growling as he dashed right back down. As he did he slammed the ground right between Meksis and Ren, sending dust and rock flying into the air, before turning and instinctively wrapping himself around Ren, using his own body as a way to shield him as he roared at Meksis. "Ren." Helios hummed, turning to look at him. So much blood. The scent was overwhelming. He gently pressed his snout against Ren in affection. There was so much he wanted to say, but very little time. "Get on my back. I'm taking you back and straight to a healer." Helios said, turning to look at Meksis. He barely recognized him, if only for a brief moment. He dug his claws into the ground, his hair and scales standing up on its end. "Move on, Meksis. You've done enough. You've made your point." Helios growled. "If you want to land a single hit on him any further, you'll have to kill me first." He barked, his sharpened canines showing. He wouldn't leave Ren. Never again.

- Front Flank - Arthur (Side: Rebellion of Mystras) vs Morana (Side: Kilkis Seres) & Alex vs Wendigo Boss -

The Wendigo did not fight back as the sword easily sliced right into it's neck, decapitating the creature with force. The head snapped right off, rotten muscle and bone now in display further than before as blood soaked the ground beneath. It was dead. Morana's body twitched from the jolt of electricity, struggling to look up at her fallen brethren with wide eyes. "N...No...!!!" Morana gasped, trying to move further, crawling towards the corpse. "Don't...leave..." Morana whispered, clawing at the dirt beneath as she made her way to the corpse. She just stared into the decapitated head's eyes, hoping to see any light from it...there was none. She gritted her teeth. One less. One more down. "No no no..." Morana whispered, pressing her forehead against the ground beneath. Too tired. She was too tired. Morana wouldn't be allowed to do anything else, as she felt the cold steel of a sword to her neck. Above her, Arthur stood, pressing his sword against her neck. Morana was too weak to even move, and could only glare up at Arthur. "Do you really think...this will end well for your kind...?" Morana asked. Arthur looked down, though there was no light in his eyes, just tears falling down his cheeks. "We both fight for what we think it's right...don't we?" Arthur asked, his voice almost like a whisper. Morana huffed, closing her eyes. "I fight for survival...to survive in an existence that wishes us gone." Morana said, her voice raspy. She could barely hear anything, the world around her becoming blurry. Arthur pressed the sword further against the skin, before pulling the sword back, raising it into the air. The tears never ceased as his body shook. Whether out of fear, adrenaline...or anger. "...so do I." Arthur closed his eyes, before bringing the sword down on Morana's neck, the sword cutting through bone with a loud SNAP. Arthur made sure that it cut right through, before pulling his sword back. He allowed himself to fall onto his knees, using his sword to balance himself. It was over. At least...this one was. It was ok, right? To kill? In love and war, all was fair? Because he was fighting for the sake of his kind, for the sake of humanity, for the sake of his world and kingdom. He gripped the hilt of his sword tightly, "...so do I...right?"

- Reginald Heathertoes, Kilkes Seres, Center Flank, with Rabiyu -

The druid was needless to say surprised when the elf girl sprang into action upon his getting close.  What happened to the stalagmite sticking out of her chest?  This question was perhaps never to be answered when he reached for his khopesh -- his sickle sword -- a little too late, and had a dagger surging forth towards his throat.  All that, however, stopped.  His sickle sword, while freed, did not move, and neither did her dagger reach his neck.  Was she going to spare him like he was going to spare her?  It seemed like madness, considering everything she said to him before, but as she explained herself it seemed more uncanny than madness.  Perhaps this girl was just not good with emotions or words, or that this was an unanswerable question for him in his current state of blood loss.

"I'd thank you if you stop gloating," he answered, replacing his sword, catching the healing potion, and analysing the phial up close.  Later, he shook his head.  "No, that's no way for me to act.  Thank you."

She continued on with explaining her heritage and namesake, which held little intrigue to him beyond pomp and circumstance, but when she asked for his name he doubly flinched.  His blurring green eyes did not part from the lava lamp for a good amount of time, and his mouth dried.

"That artefact, as you call it, should have been buried away in an unused cellar, forgotten and lost.  Did you free its contents?  No, that's unlikely."

Recalling the vial of healing potion, he popped the cork and emptied its contents into his throat.  Like Eliltari said, it would not perform miracles, but it would at the very least staunch the wound and help him survive.

"Now for lessons," he continued, looking back up.  "I'm Reggie, short for a name too embarrassing to hear.  Never mind that.  I've been a court mage long ago and a fortune teller and charmer after the old king Alexander passed away.  I charmed what you hold for good reason.  It's a seal and an enforcer, fragmenting a sentient and providing tempered power as a result.  However, before you ask, no, the imbecile cannot be freed.  The consequences, you will find, would be more disastrous than even the Silencing."

- Jari Coriander, Kilkes Seres, Center Flank, Unutterably Traumatised -

Jari fought himself on more times than ten about advancing further and further into the front lines.  The hues of his clothes did not seem to set either side off in a battle frenzy in efforts of killing him, but every time he felt eyes on him he wanted to turn tail and run.  However, that was no way to live.  He had friends on the front lines.  If he went back, he would never live it down, especially if he could have done something and did not.  Swallowing even harder, he followed the biggest thing he could find, and that was the giant wendigo.  Morana was a wendigo.  She would be nearby her kin, wouldn't she?  Using that mindset, he trudged forward as warily as he was able, a tooth pricking his lip as he bit on it.

His landmark disappeared after a while, but the stench of rot and decay made the trail easy to follow.  Jari cursed his extremely sensitive nose, but he advanced closer and closer and closer until he came upon the scene where the massive wendigo lay crumpled and with its throat slit . . . and Morana had a sword at her neck.  His heart bounced and beat so hard within his chest, and he reached out towards her and tried to call her name.  It was all too late, however.  The sword was swung and her head -- her lovely head -- tumbled to the blood-soaked soil.

He froze, unutterably traumatised, for a time, a statue among writhing bodies.  The instant his mind flew back into the coop, he bound towards her through the throng and shouted "Morana!  MORANA!"

To him, Morana's killer Arthur did not exist right now, and all fear for himself was thrown out the window.  His footing shoddy and rushed, Jari tripped and fell on a Mystran body, allowing his open helmet to topple.  Even then, he tried to get closer, and he called out to her over and over through the tears as he scrambled over to her and shook her lifeless body.

"Morana!  Morana!"

- Alex - The Prodigy Knight - Front Flank -

The whole scene...was sad, the tone of the surroundings turned to that of a grim and silent one, even the armies didn't intrude into the moment. Alex had recoiled, flinching and turning towards Morana as the female wendigo weeped and cried as her friend, the giant wendigo he had just decapitated. Drew its last breath. This tug at Alex's heart...but he had to press on.

Worst part of all was not seeing her die, it was seeing a fellow comrade doubt himself after the events, Alex had gotten close enough to hear the brief conversation before he landed the final blow to her.

Alex slowly and gently put his hand on Arthur's shoulder. "We all fight for a reason. A fight without reason is meaningless" Alex tried his best to console the young knight. "As much as i'd like to say the ends justify the means. That is never the case, we did what we had to do with the hands we were dealt, if you didn't kill her, she'd have killed you..." Alex continued as he then noticed Jari, a fox boy of sorts run over to Morana's corpse. This caused him to look down even more.

"Lets go, we're done here...we need to get you to a healer." Alex spoke, his voice low and sad, but right nonetheless. If arthur payed any attention to Alex was that his side was bleeding, as one of the giant Wendigo's sharp claws grazed it a bit. Alex was ignoring the pain...another scar.

- Henry vs Maxis - The battle of the Armors - Enter the Destroyer - Kilkis Seres's mid point between mid and left flank. -

Reginauld and Rabiyu's conversation would end up being interrupted briefly as Maxis literally landed right between both individuals, face first into the ground, missing his left arm.

"ow." Maxis said, with the flattest tone imaginable as he slowly got himself up. And looking at where his left arm should always be. "Not again." Maxis complained before checking his surroundings and noticing both Rabiyu and Regginauld. "Hello again. Am...I...interrupting something?" Maxis asked.

Before anyone could really answer though Henry had already landed onto the scene as well. To Maxis's dismay. "Oh my." Maxis reacted as Henry's aura kept building up. Henry's appearance was unchanged, his armor and sword still there, only now he had a menacingly powerful aura around him. One that felt all too natural...it felt like a pure Fey's aura even. Also Henry was holding onto Maxis's arm.

"So uuh...can you give my arm back? please?" Maxis joked, even at a time like this the demented armor could crack a joke now and again. Henry's expression was serious, downright angry even. As he slowly looked at Maxis's arm, and threw it towards him, the armor simply picked it up and reattached it back to his body.  "Thanks...now can w-" Maxis was interrupted by a devastating fireball Henry shot out of his left hand's palm, sending Maxis backwards. "Oh come oooooon" Maxis reacted as he was flung, again.

Henry noticed Rabyiu and Regginauld...slowly glancing at each of them. Before turning his head back to Maxis. "Stay out of this." Henry spoke, mostly to Rabyiu, but Reginauld could take the advice if he so pleased. His voice sounding like two at the same time. The second voice was Ariana's.

- Draksis - THe Black knight - Vs Yevgeni -

"Well we don't have magic, all we have is our swordsmanship...and explosives, really. " Draksis briefly explained how most of the human race geared themselves, since they had no magic, they'd have to make other means to  destroy their enemies. Be it siege weaponry, to artillery, to good old firebombs. As Yevgeni dodged his attack, he simply rested his longsword over his shoulder.

Draksis brought his free hand to his helmet's chin. "You make a great point, who knows if Raiden knows how to dispell the barrier. None of us were exactly briefed much on this topic even after we spoke to him personaly. Cryptic man, he is." Draksis commented freely, almost as if he was having a chat with Yevgeni.

Draksis did let out a chuckle as Yevgeni offered the whole Swordsman deal, albeit what intrigued him was what Yevgeni said about his queen. "Heh, i'l be honest It does sound like a good offer, but im old and have no magic, we humans barely live more than a hundred years, while fey...From what I hear live thousands of times longer...and I have no intention of betraying my king, as you said." Draksis spoke, sighing at the end before beginning to speak up again. "Still its a shame, humans and fey could share so much with each other...yet here we are." Draksis finished.

"Since neither of us have begun an attack yet. may I ask you a question? What do you think of your queen?" Draksis asked yevgeni.

- ??? - Neutral entity - Kilkis Seres's left flank -

Throughout the battlefield, roamed a cloaked figure, invisible to the naked eye, avoiding combat as much as possible, seemingly just...observing everything the conflict.

"So the humans and the fey are finally at it...needless slaughter..." The entity spoke in its strange voice.

~Aqua: Left Flank, Side: Kilkis Seres? Taking a Stand (Finally) ~

Aqua was about to his answer Curvis question when she had heard the fellow mages order. She was shocked and conflicted. She didn’t want to watch someone die not a fye nor otherwise. “I’m sorry, but I can’t let you kill him. Humans aren’t evil or soulless, they don’t deserve to be put to death!” She slammed her staff into the ground.

“I’ve already sullied my hands for this damned feud once! Never again!” She wore a look of determination on her face. She would fight to protect this human, however, she wouldn’t kill again. Some of the ground began to break and crumble away. It began to float up in chunks before her. “I will fight you if I have to, but I won’t kill you. You need to live for your family.” She said in a rather calm tone. Aqua seemed angry, yet it didn’t show on her face. Anger and fear killed incited killing, which in turn incited even more killing. So she wouldn’t let her emotions control her during her fights anymore.

- Front Flank - Arthur, Alex & Jari -

Arthur stared as Jari shook Morana's body, desperately wishing for her to wake up from the eternal slumber. Arthur almost jumped out of his skin at Alex's touch, only to relax into it as he listened. "Y...Yeah. It's...It's war...these things...always happen in war. It's...unavoidable." Arthur hummed to himself, reminding himself, trying to convince himself of such facts. It was easier said than done. He couldn't even look at Jari, any longer, his cries churning Arthur's stomach, twisting it in pain. "Let's go." Arthur agreed, standing up as he sheathed his sword, the blood still dripping from its tip. He glanced over at Alex, the growing scarlet spot on his side dripping. "You need a healer more than I do." Arthur said, quickly reaching for his scarf. He pulled it off, wrapping it around before pushing it against Alex's wound to hope any pressure would ease the bleeding. "Let's go." Arthur hissed, walking off with Alex as he glanced back at Jari momentarily, then slowly at the field around him. Screams and war cries rang through the air, the smell of blood inescapable as the once green pasture was slowly dyed red. Soldiers fell, some quietly, others fighting until their very last breath. Allies, friends, hurried for help, dragging their comrades to safety. Some were alive as they were pulled over...others were long gone. To be a knight, a soldier was to be a trained killer, ready to defend one's kingdom and king with their lives...he truly was weak to think that this would be easy in any way. Stories nor fairy tales could prepare you. He just wished he knew about it sooner. "...I'm sorry." Arthur whispered, maybe to Jari, or to Morana. He didn't know either. Instead, he walked onward with Alex, straight to their back, and to the medics.

{Mariel: Mystras Rebellion; Center Flank - w/ Soren, VS Shiva}

Mariel prepared to take advantage of Shiva's wound, but caught sight of the ice forming under the queen. Launching herself back as the ice pillar erupted from the ground, gaining a little distance. The Guardian Angel landed squared up for the Queen's next move. She briefly considered falling back more, but her fury was unwilling to give more ground. Instead, she dropped Bright Guard from her left hand and prepared a new gambit. When the Queen's leap brought her close enough, Mariel lashed out with Heaven's Flame, its magical fire flaring, striking at Shiva's outstretched sword to deflect it. As she did, her left hand snaked in to grab and yank Shiva in the path of her own ice spears in an attempt to turn the monarch into a living shield.

The Angel did her best to draw in her wings, but one of the ice spears nicked her right wing and one impaled the wing. Mariel made no sound from the positive hit. Within her, old body guard training went into affect, turning the physical pain into more anger to fuel her, keeping her attempts to counter Shiva from faltering.

Jynn Venas and Dawson-Front Flank VS Raiden, retreating

Dawson and Mel watched the whole fight between Raiden and Jynn. "Jeez, Jynn's stronger than I expected, putting even Lord Raiden himself on edge!"

Raiden managed to avoid Jynn's onslaught of attacks, and seems to be impressed by the prince's power, but Jynn did not care about anything Raiden said. Raiden attempts to retaliate with flurries of slashes at the prince, but Jynn quickly jumps backwards. In midair, figuring that Raiden would follow up with a gap-closing attack, he withdraws La Justicerè, and forges a large black sheild. As he lands, Raiden is already on top of him, and preforms a horizontal strike towards Jynn. The prince quickly reacts and uses the giant shield to parry the attack, but the force of Jynn's power within the shield and Raiden's sword releasing its power creates a massive shockwave, sending Jynn backwards a few feet. Luckily, the power gave the shield more defense. Jynn then responds to Raiden's earlier comment. "Wouldn't have survived against you if I didn't learn quickly."

Although Jynn had the upper hand in this fight, this power won't last forever, even right now Jynn starts to feel weak. The aura around him starts to dull and the weight of Raiden's blade starts to weaken the artificial sheild. There's no way I can keep fighting when this power is drained. I'm going to have to make a hasty retreat. Jynn then distracts Raiden and lets out an ear piercing whistle, as well as to catch Melstrome's attention.

Upon hearing Jynn's whistle, Mel folded his wings and begins to quickly fall downwards, leaving Dawson terrified. "Mel what are you doing?!" He was holding the horse's mane for dear life. The wind starts to push his lips backwards, revealing his teeth and jaws. "HOW DOES JYNN TOLERATE THINGS LIKE THIS!?" A few moments later, Mel neared the two nobles.

Knowing this is his only chance of escape, Jynn quickly sidesteps and jumps on Raiden's shoulders. He then makes an incredible leap into the air before the power dissipates, leaving Jynn exhausted and unconscious. Mel quickly soars towards the comatose prince and grabs him by his hood again. Before the horse was able to turn, a large deflected chunk of rock slams onto Mel's back, prompting him to fall. His momentum caused him to crash land all the way into the center flank, a few hundred feet from Shiva's location. Thankfully, Jynn and Dawson were unharmed, but Mel survived with a lame foreleg. Dawson tries to get the gelding to get back on his feet. "Come on buddy! You can't give up now!" It was painfully obvious that he was hurt, but he manages to get back up and open his wings. His injured leg was strong enough to give Jynn something to sit on. "Find us the nearest shelter!" Mel knew exactly where to go. He then takes off with incredible speed, heading towards Jynn's abode in the Mystrian mountains. Catching up to the horse would be near impossible.

(Had to add a dramatic scene, this is war you know.)

Jynn and Dawson have left the battle

- Soren Monroe, To Hell with the Titles For Now - Center Flank -

Even on the battlefield, Shiva's words held much power and sway on Soren's will, despite his treachery and the negative attitude she displayed, looking down upon Soren for his mistakes and seemingly flip-flop allegiance. Soren internally sighed deeply, no one would dream of trusting a revolving door of trust such as he, not even one he has remained loyal to for more than a thousand years. Yet still, Soren sensed something was...amiss, with Shiva, almost as if she took pity on him. Bah, it would be presumptuous of him to suggest such a thing...wouldn't it? Her words wore down on him and he was left mostly disgusted with himself...but he'd have little time to think on it, like Shiva suggested.

Mariel hadn't taken kindly to Soren's heel-turn and was still fuming with rage at the Queen. She leaped high and landed hard, the force of her powerful landing along with the extension of her mighty wings forced Soren aside into a tumble across the ground, face-first into the dirt. The Sentinel picked himself up into a kneel in short order, growling to himself as he did. "I do not beg for mercy, Guardian..." Soren clenched his fist tightly, flames gathered in his closed palm and intensified quickly as he brought himself back to a standing position and began a wind-up with said arm. "On this day, the one who will be begging...is YOU!" Soren had to keep Mariel off of Queen Shiva, so he unleashed a concentrated Torrent of Flame towards her, immediately following the flames with a battle charge, infusing his fist with Hellfire and aiming to sucker punch Mariel in the face. If that succeeded, he would follow up with a quick grab of her damaged Right Wing and would twist it in an attempt to break it or at least restrain the Guardian Angel.

"Whatever I choose to do from here matters not, my queen! In this battle, I serve you! My life belongs to you, no one else. And this Guardian Angel will burn for laying a hand upon you!!" Soren declared in rage against Mariel and duty to Shiva. This war has brought much into perspective for Soren Monroe. Not everything, but at least what was important...unity with the Humans would still be a dream of his, but he would pursue it another way, one without the treachery and deceit...for now, he knew where his loyalties lay, regardless of what she said, Soren Monroe was Queen Shiva's Sentinel.

- Mad Meksis, the Defiled, Armour of Darkness - Kilkis Right/Mystras Left, V.S Ren Mordecai -

A satisfied and sinister chuckle sounded from beneath Meksis's helmet as the Black Dragon's tail was severed with ease, crashing to the ground, with Meksis making an almost angelic descent to the ground after it, floating slowly and softly, but he was not at all a being of Deliverance or Protection, at least, not for now. The will of the True Meksis was still fighting back after all, this infection had to wrap things up quickly. But that would become...difficult, as the desperate and wounded Ren screamed for his friend's name, who responded in short order, shielding the Red-headed Fey with his body. The White Dragon then prepared itself for battle, threatening Meksis and remaining ever protective of his comrade.

"Oh, what a disappointment...I was beginning to enjoy hearing his screams. Spilling his blood was an easy task for a target so slow and cumbersome, what makes you think I'll struggle with you, Helios!? I'll sooner see you as a skinned hide than give up now!!"

A dark, demented cackle bellowed from Meksis, who gestured mainly with his head, slowly, yet sadistically, his distorted and doubled voice enough of an indication if his dark aura wasn't enough already to Helios, that Meksis was not himself.

"Now, allow me t-to...demon...demons--a-augh, AAGH!"

The Defiled would not get his wish. The Chaperone had mustered up enough mental strength to push back his infection, causing the currently Defiled-Controlled Meksis to contort and clutch his head in pain, stepping back a few paces in his frenzy to wrest control back.

"N-NO! I-I'm not finish--finished yet, Meksis!! I will not--Yes, y-you are! I will not bend...to the likes of you!" The nobility and integrity of the True Meksis shone through in his voice first, then as Meksis extended his arms and chest outwards, in his aura as his Light shone through the Darkness, the Aura receding back into Meksis's back of the neck with a yell of excursion and triumph. The blackened angel wing was white with golden feathers once more and light energy poured freely and smoothly from his helmet face again as he immediately refocused and stepped forward again, gesturing to Helios rapidly.

"Helios, hold! Listen! I am not that wretched being anymore! Take Ren to a healer immediately!" He implored the White Dragon, taking a moment after he had made his point and sighed deeply before looking down at his hand...that hand had nearly viciously and mercilessly taken the life of Ren...he nearly murdered him...no, the infection did. Looking straight ahead to Helios again, he spoke sternly. "I'm sorry for what has just transpired. I had no idea this infection had invaded me, nor did I know it possessed the power to subdue my will and dominate my body. Rest assured, I will do all I can to control this new power and deal with the infection accordingly...and...if you can, allow me to speak to Ren after this is all over. I promise I will not hurt him. Now go!" Meksis concluded, igniting his aura of Light and drawing his Greatsword and Empowered Greatshield, flying away at high speed towards Queen Shiva, landing just next to her, his aura powerful, but warming to those on the side of Kilkis Seres, and as such Queen Shiva.

"My queen, are you all right!?" He asked urgently, prepared to shift back to a lower powered state so he could heal her if she needed it, but would otherwise remain in his Solidarity Form.

- Nergal, Remnant of Meksis, the Dormant and Hollow Wind - Kilkis Healer Backline, Fighting for his Life -

Nergal's desperation was abundantly clear, he needed to escape Indignation or he would surely die and painfully so. But while Rhaedyn's barrier protected him from the sheer power of the mighty incantation, he found himself unable to pass any further, as Indignation had created a massive Barrier Field all around him. This power was of an ingenious design, all of this destruction and none would be able to escape on short notice, locking them in a Cage of Death. Nergal however had more than short notice and frantically searched for a weakness.

"The Glyph Runes!" Nergal's thoughts centered quickly when he focused on the runes, perhaps they were vulnerable to the Void? He had little magic left, after expending it earlier in The Last Blast and he would need to recover if he escaped, being in no state to fight anymore battles for a while. It was unlikely to work, but he had to try. Nergal thrust his hands upon the nearest Rune and channeled all of his remaining Void Energy into it, groaning under the strain but his expression was of focus, not of weakness. To his surprise and frenzied delight, the Runes crackled and weakened quickly, but Nergal had run out of Void Energy, if he continued to channel he'd be killing himself by draining more Void power from his own Lifeforce. So naturally he refrained from doing that, instead, he rested his left hand on the barrier...and began punching the barrier with his right, focusing his barrage upon the most cracked and weakest point he had created.

These feelings that were rushing through his body, his lack of a heart was inconsequential, Nergal was deathly afraid and desperate. In this vital moment, nothing mattered anymore. Not his plan, not Alastor, not even Queen Shiva...all that mattered was his survival. Nergal's grunting grew louder and more frantic as he landed punch after punch until finally, the segment of barrier he was assailing buckled and shattered, allowing him to reach his arms through and attempt to squeeze through with all his might. For a brief moment, Nergal thought he would not make it and simply cried something out...

"Rhaedyn!!!"

The name of the Iron Lord seemingly gave him the last bout of strength he needed to escape Indignation's destruction, falling to his knees but he still crawled away as swiftly as he could, only completely collapsing when he was behind the Iron Lord, completely out of breath and shattered...but alive.

- Helios - Front Flank - Side: Mystras Rebellion - With Ren - VS. Meksis -

Helios was ready to use his body as a shield against Meksis...until this dark version of him seemed to be torn out of him by sheer willpower. Helios' stance faltered momentarily, his eyes softening. "Meksis." Helios began, listening to his pleas and apologies. For a moment, Helios felt a sigh escape his lips. Relief. Mountains of it. But it was far from over. "(Thank you, Meksis...good luck.)" He nodded towards Meksis, bowing his head slightly before turning back to Ren. "Lets get to that healer." Helios said, helping Ren climb onto his back. "Hang on tight buddy." Helios said, huffing as he swatted some soldiers away with his tail, before taking flight into the sky. Away from ground combat, he flew to the back, straight to the healers and their tents.

Helios & Ren have retreated from battle

- Helios, Ren, Arthur, Alex - Side: Mystras Rebellion - Healer Tents -

Arthur had just reached to the tents with Alex, looking for any space in the healer's time to take a turn for their own wounds. "We need a healer, he got stabbed pretty badly." Arthur said, gesturing to Alex. Not long after, however, a single dragon landed on the nearest clearing, causing the ground beneath to shake momentarily. Arthur jumped slightly, getting ready to pull out his sword. However, he paused, staring straight into the dragon's eyes. He recognized them. Blue as the ice of a glacier, the scars upon the white scales...he recognized this one. "You." Arthur said, his eyes sightly widened. The dragon's eyes narrowed at Arthur, but softened only moments after, smoke escaping the dragon's mouth as it surrounded it. A moment later, as the smoke dispersed, Helios stood, helping Ren stand. "We need a healer, immediately." Helios hissed, his eyes staring at Arthur, who in turn cleared his throat. "...so...does this mean...?" "I have nothing against humanity. Your king, is another matter. But until this war is resolved...think of us no less than allies." "Uh huh." Well, shit, this was...going to be awkward as hell for a long while. "I...never got your name..." "...Helios." "...Arthur. The name's Arthur."

- Rabiyu - Rebellion of Mystras - between center and right flank -

"Then I suppose that you didn't made a good work, Master Reggie, for a lowly thief managed to find it and was trying to sell it as an inheritance by his uncle, al least that's what he said," Rabiyu said to Reggie, "And the answer is yes, I did. And while I am intrigued by your words, I am afraid that we do not have time to remain still, this is a battlefield after all."
To Rabiyu, Reggie looked very serious when speaking of Rufus. What would those consequences be? And if it was worse than the Silencing, was it worth it to free the Djinni?
The moment she was going to speak Maxis landed in the middle, effectively disrupting the conversation. Then it was the time Henry arrived, but was he really Henry? somehting told Rabiyu that the human was not himself, not fully.
"This isn't normal. I can sense a powerful arcane source coming from him," she thought, "He should have a weak source of arcane energy thanks to his infusion, but nothing close to this."
What was going on with the Dreadnought was a mystery, but whatever fascination Rabiyu would have for the strange phenomenon was soon lost thanks to the silhouette of Sifrei appearing next to her.
"I have terrible news Eliltari. I am afraid that we have lost one of the human siblings," Sifrei's silhouette said, "While the other is currently being treated by our healers."
Rabiyu felt a shiver down her spine, though she didn't showed any hint of reaction from the news. The truth was that she was surprised, and somewhat saddened, by the fact that one of them had fallen. Questions would have to wait, at least until the battle was over. For the time being she had to take care of the healers.
"It seems that our time is over, Master Reggie, it would have been nice to meet during different circumstances, but fate is a strange thing," she said as she once again turned around, "May we meet again during better times. Sifrei, be safe, and stay out of troubles."
As the archangel's silhouette disappeared, the Elf dashed towards the spot were the healers were, apparently only a few remained in that particular flank, and she was going to stop them. With the previous thunderstorm almost gone Rabiyu focused the remaining arcane energy into a single point, above the healers, this was not going to be as powerful as Alastor's previous attack, which she managed to see for a moment, but it would take care of the healer, hopefully.
She pointed to the sky, focusing on the spot she wanted the thunderbolt to strike, and after a few seconds the attack was heading towards the healer.

- Sifrei Mond - Rebellion of Mystras - Center Flank -

Sifrei was currently looking at the face of Aurio, he looked like he was sleeping, just a peaceful look, but the archangel knew better than to hope for him to wake up. Eliltari also showed little emotion as he told her then news, and yet he knew that the Elf did felt something.
" I'm so sorry I could't be here when you needed help, my friend, but I PROMISE that your sister will be in good hands, she will be protected by us, that's a promise," Sifrei said to Aurion, "I still need to keep fighting, but I will send you back."
The Archangel reached his hand towards the fallen human and the body was put inside a glowing sphere made of pure light, which rose from the ground and flew in direction of the healers. He noticed that a few of their troops were retreating, probably to get themselves healed, he looked around for a few seconds until he finally found what he was lookign for, his guardian angel friend. Without thinking to much Sifre itook to the sky and flew towards Mariel, and her opponents, one of which was the Queen of Kilkis Seres herself.
Apparently one of them was going to attack Mariel with a fire attack, and he was unable to arrive on time, but he did another thing, he infused his spear with light magic and made it grow three times bigger in size. If he could not reach Mariel in time, then his spear would reach her opponent before he could actually land his attack.
"Mariel, get out of the way!" Sifrei yelled at the other angel as he threw his spear towards Soren, "I will stop you before you have the chance to hurt her!"

--Ren Mordecai -- Healers Tent -- Final moments (I think) --

"Helios," Ren murmured, voice hoarse and he ran a hand along the back of his dragon friend's head.  "I am sorry that I couldn't do more for you.  I wanted to save you, truly, and yet I left you there to rot with the king.  I am not worthy of being your friend, and even now I have asked you to risk your life to save me."

The redhead was barely conscious as they landed in the tent, and he didn't recall any faces that helped him off of Helios' back and onto a cot toward the back of the healer's tent.  He'd lost a mass amount of blood, and the wound gashing into his back was deep.  He couldn't feel anything below his naval, though strangely he was in such a numbed state that it didn't bother him.

"Please forgive me, Helios," said Ren, closing his eyes, his breath coming in rasped gasps.  "For not . . . being there when you needed me.  If I could do it again, believe me, I would.

"I'm just . . . happy.  Happy that I was able to see you once more."  He extended his hand crusted in blood up to reach Helios' cheek, brushing it with his fingertips before his hand fell.  The life was quickly leaving his body, much to Ren's regret.  There was so much more that he wanted to do, so much that he wanted to say.  And yet, does anyone ever complete their life, truly?  Do they ever get to finish everything that they wished, or isn't death always unexpected and snatching you away?

--Shiva de la Alexandria -- Center Flank: Kilkis Seres--

Unexpectedly the queen was brought in the path of her own ice barrage by being dragged over by Mariel.  Distracted, Shiva extended her arm and shattered the ice before it could strike her, its slivers falling to the ground.

It surprised her greatly that Soren still stood beside her, even though she dismissed him and cast him away.  The man did seem to have a genuine heart, which she appreciated, and oddly enough reminded her of Raiden.  But alas, she could not think of Raiden too deeply.  That was the very last thing that she needed.

A horn blew from many hundred yards away, yet it pierced through the forest as though it were close by.  It was an indicator that one of their flanks had fallen in defense, which wasn't particularly a good thing at all.

They would have to fall back and regroup, Shiva reasoned, though it didn't give her particular pleasure.  She met Mariel's gaze sharply.

"Tell your sovereign that I desire to meet with him, alone, tonight on the outskirts of Milos, at Lake Kresnik.  There we will settle this war, but I will not have any more blood lost over this matter."

At this she turned, half of her hair having fallen out of her braid during combat, striding toward her unicorn once more.  She shot a glance over at Soren.

"You may return to our camp, if you so desire.  I have not yet come to peace with your betrayal, but I can assure you sanctuary and healing."

It wasn't long before Meksis, too, had come to her aid, proffering her aid if she required it.  She held up a hand.  "I am well, thank you, Meksis.  We are drawing our troops back.  Sound the horn for your flank."

And with that, Shiva blew loudly into hers upon her hip.  It was that of the royal horn, one that all Kilkis Seres troops knew, and understood what it meant.

The battle was over, or at least for now.  Their numbers were dwindling, and Shiva now understood what she had to do.

Even if it cost her life.

Shiva has retreated from battle.

--Yevgeni Malachite -- Left flank: Kilkis Seres--

Yevgeni rubbed his chin with a gloved hand as he listened to Draksis on how they operated down in the human world, intent and filled with curiosity.

"Interesting," he said at last.  "A part of me thinks life would be better that way, with everyone born equal.  Here you are either born a gifted race, or within immense magic, or you are not.  Depending on your birth, your entire life can be set for you before you're even given a choice.  While it may sound glorious to be fey, it is not to all, especially those who are accursed from birth."

Draksis then posed the question of what Yev thought of his queen, which struck him as curious and yet as an excellent question.  He saw no reason to answer dishonestly.

"I think my queen is weak," Yev stated bluntly.  "She follows ideals that are not her own, and yet battles with her own desires and lusts.  She is not happy, nor will she ever win.  Shiva sees everything in shades of black and white; nothing is gray in her eyes, even though, frankly, this world is filled with many gray areas.  I feel that she needed more guidance before she succeeded the throne, which I tried to provide, but who am I?  Someone she can swiftly discard the moment she inherits the throne, casting aside any advice I may offer out of wisdom and years of serving her late father, the King."

Yev drew in a breath, pinching the bridge of his nose.  "But alas, I am ranting.  I apologize, perhaps that was more information than you needed to hear.  I believe that Queen Shiva is misguided, but at least workable.  I do not trust Raiden, nor do I think he can accomplish what he seeks without much, much bloodshed and broken promises.  This here is only the tip of the iceberg.  I do not want to see what may come within a short few years if he reigns victorious."

A horn echoed throughout the forest, one that Yevgeni recognized all too well.  It was the royal signal, one indicating that they were falling back.  Either the queen had been captured, fallen, or chose to retreat.  A look of disappointment washed over the blond's face.

"Hmm, it looks like it is time for me to go.  Our troops are retreating," he said dully, as though bored.  He glanced at Draksis, extending a hand to shake his.  "Draw until next time?"

-- Curvis Sourati -- Right flank: Mystras--

The Kilkis Seres mage looked like he were about to fume in fury at Aqua's defiance.  He raised his staff menacingly.

"You dare betray your queen?!" he roared.

Before he could do anything, however, a horn echoed throughout the forest, calling back the Kilkis Seres troops from battle.  The mage looked disappointed.

"Go, run off with him!' he practically spat at her.  "You are not worth killing, Traitor."

All around Kilkis Seres troops began to disappear, retreating from the battlefield and escaping death.  Curvis looked both relieved and surprised by Aqua's position.

"You . . . defended me," he said, impressed.  "Do you not fear what might await you when you return?"

- Helios - Front Flank - Side: Mystras Rebellion - With Ren  -

Helios didn't leave Ren's side, despite the work of the healers. It wasn't until now, so close and focused, that he noticed the gravity of his injuries. He was...dying. Helios refused to admit it. "You'll be alright, Ren." Helios hissed, insisted. He had to be alright. They just reunited! They had so much to say, so much to explain, so much to catch up on...it couldn't possibly end so quickly. It wasn't fair. Helios couldn't keep his emotions buried as he hoped he could, his body already shaking as tears escaped his eyes. "I wish...all of this could have gone so differently. Yet, to have spent so many adventures and memories...I don't regret a single thing from meeting you." Helios began, leaning into Ren's touch. His eyes widened, his skin crawling in desperation. "Don't say that Ren...Ren!" Helios called, reaching out an catching Ren's hand as it fell, holding it tightly in his. "You have to fight on! You're stronger than this, I know it! Ren!" Helios could feel his legs begin to shake, gritting his teeth. "You can't leave! Please! I know I'm being selfish, but please, stay with me! I have so much to tell you, so much to share with you, so much to catch up with you!" Helios sobbed. He was losing him. So much to say...so little time. "I'm sorry, Ren. I'm sorry that you went through what you did. I'm sorry that I couldn't come to you sooner. I'm sorry that I couldn't protect Ariana...but please don't leave..." Helios begged, by this point falling onto his knees. With one hand he held Ren's hand, holding it close and pressing it against his cheek. He was starting to get cold. He used his other hand to gently wipe away the blood off Ren's cheek. He wanted to be strong. He promised himself to be strong. For Ren. For Ariana. Yet once again, he fooled himself. No matter what he did...how hard he did, the world just...kept falling apart.

"...I can't lose you too..."

- Arthur - Side: Mystras Rebellion - Healer Tents - With Alex -

Arthur was worked on by one of the healers. He had to thank the blacksmith for his shield and armor, for they took most if not all of the damage that he received. Still, his bones ached, and his muscles and body were bruised. The scars on his face were another story too. The healer removed the dead skin from it, cutting it away delicately before working on sealing them up. They wouldn't ever go away, instead scar on his face for eternity, as a memoriam of the battle, of the war. That much he knew. But...he couldn't be mad about it either. He thought of the one h e fought, Morana. "(We were the same, in a way...fighting for our own.)" Arthur thought. He caught a glance of himself from the reflection of the tools, quickly looking away. "(Seems you had the final word after all...then allow me to carry it proudly.)" He thought. Every scar had a story to tell, and these...these told that he survived the first war between Fey and mankind of his generation.  And yet...He gripped his fists tightly, the stinging sensation as tears escaped his eyes ignored momentarily. He finally let himself go, straight out sobbing, pain in every breath. He would never forget...and they were only just beginning.

--Ren Mordecai-- Healers Tent with Helios--

A bitter smile stretched Ren's lips, dark eyes locked on his dear friend.

"Don't cry, Helios. We will meet one day again. My story is over, but you . . . have so much left to live for"--his fingers brushed against the wind drake stone around his neck, reaching it toward Helios to give him but lacking the strength to remove it--"live on, Helios. The worlds depend on you. Be my legacy, and do what I could not. I . . . Pray that there is a happy ending to this tale, one that I want you to see through to the end and beyond. I want you to share our story. Mine, and Ariana's. I love you as a brother, and always will."

His hand tightened around Helios' hand briefly, before going limb and lifeless, the light fading from his eyes as he lowered his lids.

"Stay . . . strong, Helios. My friend."

And that was the end. Ren Mordecai had departed from this world all too soon, to join hands with Ariana in a place where Helios could not reach. Not now, but one day, one day the three would reunite, to rejoice and be together once more.

- Alastor - The Storm - Mystras's lightning -

Alastor stood still as he heard the sound of the retreat horns of Kilkis Seres, a dry smile formed across his face. As he turned to Rhaedyn and the survivor...Nergal. "Impressive that he managed to escape, though I guess my runes weren't exactly effective against his type of magic... Regardless, as I said would happen before." Alastor spoke. Chuckling, "Your army is now forced into a retreat. And this battle...is now over." Alastor spoke as he picked his swords and sheathed them.

"We shall meet again Lord of Iron. Our battle is not yet over." Alastor spoke his tone serious but with a small glimpse of...respect? As Alastor vanished in a flash of lightning.

It was time to retreat as well, tend to his battle wounds, and repair his armor...

- Henry and Maxis - The battle of the armors - Enter the Destructor -

Maxis heard the horn, all the flanks of Kilkis Seres rang their after Shiva did so, this signalled a retreat. And as the armies were mobilizing a retreat, Maxis found retreating quite the ordeal, especially since his body was almost completely broken.

Standing compeltely laid out on the ground, unmoving, he just waited for Henry, who was now in berserk to come at him. "Look" Maxis spoke, pointing a his finger at the Kilkis Seres's retreating army. "They're retreating..." Maxis spoke, but Henry didn't even turn his head, instead he continued to walk towards Maxis, who was only now getting himself up. Stumbling and staggering as he did, was his armor, mostly around the legs, and chest were cracked, and cracking still.

"Fine...lets settle this then." Maxis spoke, with a serious tone. As Henry simply roared as he dashed towards him, activating Maxis's trap. Henry's momentum was stopped as his feet were pulled towards the ground, caused by a rune circle Maxis had to make it up on the fly. "Even I can conjure basic runes you know..." Maxis told him as he dashed forward, Grabbing Henry's face with both his hands. As Maxis entered Henry's mind again.

Henry screamed in pain and anguish as Maxis delved into his mind. Since Physical attacks were not enough, he'd have to resort to attacking Henry's fractured Psyche.

Maxis did not expect what he would see next.

Glimpses of Henry's life flashed in Maxis's view, one after another...

How Henry joined the knights...

It was a stormy night, the body whose father had disowned him had been living in the streets for less than a year, only barely managing to keep himself from starvation by having to resort to stealing and begging for food. He stood in an alleyway, with no cover from the rain, depressed. The boy had lost everything, his family, his dignity, and his hope.

At least it was until a middle aged knight in grey armor, who was on patrol with his squadron passed by the alleyway,. and the knight heard the boy's cries in the middle of the rain, the knight soon found him. And noticed the boy's feeble stature. "Whats you name...boy?" The man asked the boy. "H-Henry..." The boy could barely managed to reply, swallowing his tears.

"Good name...what...are you doing here, all alone, don't you have a family?" The knight asked him, as Henry could only continue to look down, "No..." He replied. "I see..." The knight stood there with Henry for quite a long time, as Henry explained his life and what happened. "I see...so you've suffered much in these past few months...no matter." The Knight stood up, and offered Henry his hand. "You dream, of becoming a knight...it still in there, right?" The knight asked him. As Henry looked up. Slowly grabbing his hand. His grip weak, he could barely stand as the man pulled him up. "Y-Yes..." Henry replied...

"Good..." Replied the knight, who smiled as he looked at Henry.

However. before the memory could go on further, a hand grabbed Maxis's face from behind, in the psychological sense of course, and pulled him away. Breaking Maxis's attempt at Henry's mind short.

"GRRAAAAH" Maxis and Henry screamed in sync as both stagged backwards and fell down...supposedly both knocked unconciouss.

After some time passed, the retreat was still in action, Maxis's helmet's interior lit up with arcane light, signallling his return to conciousness. He analyzed his surroundings, but Henry was already gone by the time he woke up. "What, how. WHAT THE firetruck?!" Maxis shouted, frustrated, as he looked at himself.  "First I get my beautiful metal ass beaten...and then I fail to break his mind?! I...wait...hm." Maxis pondered to himself, as he slowly got up. "Well, anyway...I gotta get out of here and back to camp. I have to report to my dear queen." Maxis spoke, half frustrated and half tired. As he limped his way back to camp. Or at least in the direction of it.

- ??? - Mystras - Healer's tent -

As soldiers had gotten treatment, many stood guard outside, regular duty and all, they noticed a figured clad in a cloak, they could not see its face, approached them, not even needing to say anything ot them as they allowed it to pass, as he was carrying someone on his back...this person...was Henry. Unconciouss, seemingly sleeping. But badly wounded.

The figure entered the tent, regardless of who was in it, simply laid Henry down on a bed, and placed his sword beside him. "The healers will take care of you...whoever you are..." The figure spoke, its voice sounding unnatural and unlike a Fey's at all. Its hands were made of a metalic like skin, to those with a keen eyes.

The figure did not waste any time, it simply walked off, and in seconds, nobody knew where it was.

- Alex - The Knight Prodigy - Healer's tent -

Everything happened so fast, Alex could feel his wound...itching, it was getting infected somehow...and...he was losing quite a bit of blood, he was blacking out constantly, he missed most of Arthur's exchange with Helios, as he was quickly brought into the healer's tent.

Alex woke up, already bandaged an on a bed in one of the tents. "I must have blacked out..." Alex spoke, sounding disappointed. As he tried moving his arm, but it caused his side to hurt. "Damn...I guess thats what I get for recklessness..." Alex spoke. As a healer came to him. "Woke up already? You were lucky, any longer and that wound would have killed you." THe healer commented. Causing Alex to frown. "Thanks? I guess?" He replied.

- Draksis - The Black knight - Vs Yevgeni -

"Indeed." Draksis chuckled at Yevgeni's statements about equality. This elf was interesting, in fact, Draksis quite enjoyed speaking to him, even if they were enemies

"I respect your resolve, following a queen which you yourself do not have faith in anymore." Draksis spoke respectfuly to Yevgeni, giving the blond his condolences. "I hope no more blood will have to be spilt if he does win...although, i'l see to it that no innocent blood will be spilled. Since when Innocents begin dying, thats when the cause becomes tainted." Draksis gave his input in the thought of Raiden's future rule.

He too, sounded disappointed as the horns were rung, scoffing at the thought of retreat.. But Yevgeni commented on it before he did, causing Draksis to disappointedly nod his head. As the elf offered his hand in a handshake.

Draksis replied in kind, shaking Yevgeni's hand. "Alright." Draksis replied. As he began to walk off to check on his soldiers. "Im Draksis, I don't believe I caught your name?" Draksis asked Yevgeni as he walked away.
