Stardustblade358 806 Posted April 9, 2017 -Helios - At Judgement - Aura, Aurion, Gel(?), Henry(?), Queen Shiva, Prince Jynn, Eclaire, and Yev- Helios growled loudly, sounding more like a tiger than a fey or human. He had long ago decided it could have been the Queen herself, and Helios would have fought back if it meant to keep these humans, these friends, safe from harms way. He didn't know this guy, and he didn't like his tone. However, and thankfully, the prince chimed in, and the Queen gave a most reasonable offer; the humans would be sent to remain at the prince's abode by Mystras, accompanied by the prince himself. Now that sounded like a safe option for them. He still worried, especially for Henry and Gel. They were...no longer fully human. Yet they wouldn't fit in this world, nor in the world below. I felt guilty that he couldn't offer them a new life. New possibilities. But at least they would be safe from Alderon for the time being. Helios huffed, turning away from Yev and turning to the twins with a soft smile. "You'll be safe now. The prince is kind. I have a feeling you guys might get along, actually." Helios said. He looked up at the Queen, bowing his head. "Thank you for your mercy, my Queen. As well as yours, my prince." Helios said as he then turned to Romeo and Juliet. "Return to mom and dad guys. Tell them everything is ok." Helios hummed, sending the flying monkeys off and away, flying out the same window that they came in through. Though now there was a question; if the Queen pardon him mercy upon help and service, there must be something she has planned, or that she wants that his abilities could provide. Then again, he was the animal kingdom born into a single, young man. Though not as strong as the full blooded, original creatures, he was sure to hold his ground. "My Queen, if I may ask, what kind of duties do you wish for me to accomplish?"
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted April 10, 2017 - Draksis - The Black knight - Raiden's villa - Draksis exhalled a brief sigh as he stood up from his chair, deciding to forego the talk he would have with Alderon and instead relaying his opinion and view of the situation. Partially because not only did he wish to oppose whatever idea Midnea had, but also to add to the argument. "The world below slowly dies and yet we are here bickering over this..." Draksis began speaking his face turning almost like that of a sad expression, but a determined look on his face took place as he continued, "Its true, wheter coincidence or not you have all the right to blame the robbery on our arrival, i'd act the same if our situations were reversed and it was you who came to the world below only for a robbery to take place against us." Draksis added. Draksis quickly put his hands on the table in front of him as he looked at Raiden...with a serious expression before chuckling. "You know this would be a fitting opportunity to start throwing out threats and demands, but what would war even bring us? More meaningless death and our world's demise continued approach. Let alone the fact we wouldn't stand a chance against magic..." he spoke as he laughed, "We don't have a choice but to abide to your wish Raiden, I only ask of you to honor your end of the deal. Deal with your queen, and let us make ammends...a race doesn't have to die because of ancestor's disputes or petty rivalries." Draksis explained. "However, do not let this stain the relationships between us Raiden. If we are to succeed in this deal, we cannot have discord between us..." Draksis ended his speech, as he glanced at Midnea and at Alderon. 'She is going to be the death of us if he listens to her.' Draksis thought. sitting back down and grabbing a small glass of wine. - Alastor - THe Storm - Dealing with the Doom Hound - "Dammit cat look what you've done." Alastor commented a sigh as the attack directed at him was blocked by the elf, she was impressively reliable, of course Alastor couldn't comment on it because the infiltrator had showed up and immediately asked him what was going on. "You mean the fire beast wrecking havoc within the city under orders of a certain woman whom we thought had died but is now back with our new guests?" Alastor all but specified it was Midnea's doing. "Been tracking this thing, these two simply decided to join in". Alastor commented as he listened to Rabiyu as he smirked under his helmet. "I agree, as long as kitty cat here doesn't taunt it further." Alastor spoke as he changed his stance so that his two swords crossed one another, as his aura began increasing in strenght and intensity, lightning crackling around him as he was not even getting serious at this point. Alastor disappeared in a trace of lightning as it circled the wall of water that enclosed the hound. Not only electrifying the water but also allowing him to leap up into the air while still in lightning form as he materialized above the wall. "Time to tear it asunder" Alastor spoke as he pointed his right sword while floating in the air, as a massive ammoung of lightning energy began to channel from it, as he fired a massive shockwave was emmited from the recoil, almost like that of a massive power railgun. aimed with towards the middle of the wall, right where the hound was. The attack would cause extreme damage should it hit its mark. Only a small display of Alastor's power. - Henry - The Dreadnaught - Still in the room in the castle - "Seriously where the hell are they?" Henry asked as he leaned his back against the wall, right beside the door. "They're taking too long..." He spoke as he moved to the doors. Placing his hand on the door knob as he hesitated. "I am probably not allowed to go out...i'd attract attention if I did.". Henry muttered a as he sighed. . He then felt a sharp pain, almost like a stinging sensation in his head. As his eyes widened in surprise as "she" began to speak. 'You can bust right through you know...' Ariana spoke to him as he grimaced at the realizatio his dream was actualy true, he was posessed... "I can what now?" He questioned. 'Break through...you seem strong enough.'. Henry scoffed at the mention. 'Not to sound cocky but yeah I could... but it'd bring trouble for me and my friends.' Henry replied. 'Your friends are probably dealing with the queen as we speak...pherhaps you could-' 'Force an audience with her yeah.' Henry thought. 'You're smarter than you look...' 'And you sound just as menacing as the dream, look I don't have time to be surprised or in shock or even confused as to why you are speaking with me. I have to get to my friends.' Henry thought. As he began to beat his hand against the door, the sound could be heard from the corridors as he slammed his hand on the door, almost breaking it as he did so. Guards quickly rushed over to check on it to question what was going on. "What is the meaning of this?!" One of them spoke. "Take me to your queen." Henry spoke. "She is already attending the new arrivals as we speak" The guard replied. "I have important intel she needs to know." Henry spoke. "And what intel is it that the ones already in the audience can't disclose?" "Because only I know about it, and trust me. She will want to hear this." Henry added. "It didn't take long for the guards to open the door, spears, swords, whatever pointed at Henry as he latter simply held his hands in surrender with a smirk on his face. "Hand over your weapons yadda yadda I know" Henry spoke, cutting the guards short. "I don't got any weapons, search me, strip me if you want, but take me to the queen." Henry spoke to the guards, who simply searched him before hauling him off to the queen's audience. After a few moments Shiva would see Henry coming into the hall with a guard escort with a smirk up his face. Much to her and the other's surprises. "Yes, what kind of duties..." Henry commented dryly. As he was promptly shoved by one of the guards for that, as he simply chuckled. "Couldn't help myself but to comment..." Henry added as he watched the situation unfold and the queen to notice him. - Typhon - The Cyph - Heading off - Typhon has literaly no reaction at all to what Morana just did, the mask held alright onto his face as he simply stood there, arms folded. Silent as he then heard Elia speak. As he sighed. "You do have a point, look. Hand me a cloak with a hood and with this mask I might be able to hide my identity and accompany you guys, but on one condition..." Typhon spoke with a serious tone, as always. "You do right on your word and take me to your queen...Shiva's her name I believe. I have a matter I wish to attend to her..." Typhon spoke as his tone darkened at the end. "Not its not harmful in any way, Im not a petty assassin" He finished. - Maxis - The living armor - En route to Shiva's kingdom - "Oh you know me, bleeding heart and all...even though the physical thing is missing." Maxis joked to Meksis. As they walked. "How'd you guess she was a witch doctor?" Maxis asked in surprise at Meksis's guess but shrugged soon after. "Things to note about the queen." Maxis began speaking. "She is very formal, shouldn't be a problem for your, she is very direct and serious about what she does and cares little for small talk unless she starts said small talk, she doesn't like you bringing pets into the castle...learned that the hard way when I broguth a griffin there wanting to keep it, and for goodness sakes don't walk in on her when she is dressing herself." Maxis spoke. "She also has a son, Jynn, youthful, inexperienced, but follows in his mother's footsteps...for better or for worse..." Maxis's tone darkened at the end. "Ivany will also want to run tests on you, be sure to keep an eye, she may also ask you to help her on some tests or experiments...feel free to help or refuse on them." Maxis finished speaking as he then awaited Meksis's response. 1 Nero Kunivas reacted to this

Endless Thundaga 533 Posted April 12, 2017 Jynn Venas - Courtroom within Kilkes Seres Much to Jynn's relief, Shiva was willing to allow the humans to stay at his abode until Alderon leaves. But then she offered him the chance to accompany them, with some reluctance. Jynn crosses his arms and gives it a thought. Hm. Well I do need to see if everyone else is alright from last night..... Yea, I probably should go. Got nothing else to do today. "Alright. I'll oversee their arrival. I need to go back and check on the last group anyway." He rises from his seat while Yevgeni offers to accompany them as well, to which Shiva harshly declines. It was surprising that she was raising her voice at him of all people. Jynn almost felt sorry for Yevgeni. As soon as Shiva finishes, Jynn turns back to her. "I sense Bherna's presence in the city. She's drawing near the castle. I want her to remain in Kilkes Seres for the time being. She's been following directions very well as of late, so you won't have to keep too close of an eye on her." He then bows and turns back to the audience, jumping down in front of the twins, Helios, and Yevgeni. But as soon as he tries to speak, Henry emerges from the living quarters. The sight of Henry puts the prince on edge. He puts his hand on his forehead. Oh boy, this is not going to go well........ Dawson - Front gates of Mystras participating in the fight against the Knight in Red Dawson turns his head to Rabiyu after she claimed taunting the beast was making things worse. "I'm sorry. I had no idea, never fought one of these before....." He faces back at the beast backing up a bit with his axe drawn. But then Alastor takes his turn to call out the Palico's mistake. Dawson for the most part ignores him, but he lets out a quiet growl of irritation. "This is not looking well......... I wish I knew what Jynn would've done......." Dawson had no idea what to do at this point. But then the Infiltrator shows up and Alastor explains that this beast was under control of some woman. This leaves Dawson confused. "Nya? Wait, you're saying that this hound is.......... not actually a hound?"
Vaude 536 Posted April 13, 2017 - Lord Raiden and Raleigh Marin, currently within the grand hall of Raiden's villa - Raiden looked sleepily up to the guard and, shortly thereafter, the new and uninvited visitor at the entrance of the hall. Curiosity glinted in his eyes as he became interested in the boy's origins, taking into consideration his poor garb and ruffled appearance. Raiden himself was dressed in yesterday's robes and was disheveled as well, so he felt some sort of kinship there, but as for who he was he could not say. A spy, perhaps? He was considered a guest by the sentry at the entrance to the villa, but perhaps that was stated to him. He did not know this boy. "Please allow him to stay in the hall or in my reading study for the moment. I will be there shortly to meet with my guest," Raiden stated warmly, bequeathing a Mystran bow in the directions of both individuals before continuing with Draksis. "I am very glad that you are as understanding of the situation as you are. I will happily consider the situation more diplomatically than demands and war, and rather would aim for peace among everyone. Force should be a last resort, but part of me is not loath to corrective action should it come to that. You can be assured, however, that I will honour my side of the bargain and deal with whatever issues come my way." A double-edged wording, that, "part of me", thought Raleigh as she mused over what was said, trying her best to ingrain every word into her memory and study. Most likely he means he considers that if he considered us an enemy he would quell us mercilessly if necessary. Best to keep our guards up more than before. "With all of that said,” Raiden continued, “I must converse with my most recent guest. Food will be served shortly, and wine and almond milk will be served as soon as you will it. King Alderon, this has been said before, but I would like to converse further over these matters. Please meet with me afterward," ended Raiden, stepping toward the entrance and to wherever Ren and the sentry were. Some servants poured in soon after, carrying with them egg-based dishes, a few breaded dishes, custards made of fruits and vegetables, and several varieties of drinks beyond the wine and almond milk. Others laid out the table with fantastic speed, silverware and plates and bowls all perfectly positioned in front of every chair. - The Infiltrator, locked in combat at the outer gatehouse of Mystras - The Infiltrator fixed sideward eyes on Alastor and smiled behind his mask. “A doom hound, I take it? This should provide some sort of interesting challenge,” he managed to say shortly before the creature teleported behind his back, bearing with it a menacing chill which travelled down his spine. Bearing with it and now fully empowered with electromagnetic energy, The Infiltrator managed to perform two things: 1.) he shot upwards with impressive speed until he lorded a position overtop the Knight in Red, and 2.) upon sighting the creature, he fired from his hand a barrage of five wind streams at barely subsonic speeds in a cross formation ( + ). Both actions drained his electromagnetic armour almost dry, but some armour still managed to cling to his left arm like an extended gauntlet, and the shots had a good chance of puncturing into flesh even if it had to rip through metal. If what I read is true, there is a lot of danger to this creature. Best obliterate it immediately or weaken it to near-death. Hopefully the others catch wind of this and act strongly, thought he as he dropped to the ground, coiled and ready. ((I could not remember if the dread wolf Fenrir had armour on it still or cast it aside due to enlarging. If I can get some clarification of that, I would greatly appreciate it, The Unversed. =) ))
Stardustblade358 806 Posted April 13, 2017 -Helios - At Judgement - Aura, Aurion, Gel(?), Henry, Queen Shiva, Prince Jynn, Eclaire, and Yev- Helios liked the prince. His aura was much more calmer, kind, and over all cheerful than the Queen's, but of course he would never admit such out-loud. He seemed more...understanding. And considering that he was willing to step up to help his friends, Helios liked him even more now. Before anyone else could speak, Henry arrived. Guards followed him, distraught at Henry's attitude and lack of fear, which only made Helios want to chuckle at the reaction. "Henry, there you are. You slept like a log." Helios commented, turning to the queen, then back at Henry, and then back at the Queen. "Your majesty, this is Henry...one of the surviving men from the experiments I told you about. He is not fully human." Helios reminded, before turning to Henry, walking over to him. "Henry, everything turned out alright. The Queen has been kind enough to grant me a chance to make up for my mistakes but..." Helios frowned. "I could not convince her to allow you guys to stay in the Overworld...but the prince will allow you all to stay in safety until Alderon leaves. I even brought up some treasures for you guys to use once you do return..." Helios explained, frowning however as he did so. He really didn't want them to leave. He didn't want to say goodbye. To let go of them. He's just met them and gained their trust and made a friendship with them...and they would be separated so easily. Maybe it was the time in isolation; maybe he was being a bit too clingy? Who cared. These were his friends they were talking about. Besides, from meeting Henry, his aura simply screamed of a welcoming state, despite knowing how dangerous he could be. He figured, it was because Ariana's blood ran through his veins. That he had part of who once was a friend he would give up the world for. If only he knew. -Arthur - Raiden's Villa - Raiden's Morning Call- Arthur gulped and listened. Thankfully, it seemed things would calm down...for a moment or two. At least until after breakfast. It was hard to ignore Draksis' words. Considering that it was the one obvious fact that he had tried his best to ignore for all of his life. The great elephant in the room; the fact that their world was dying. First it was slow, but all to suddenly it began to become worse ever so quickly. Much more quicker than any decades before. Crops would refuse to grow, animals both wild and of cattle stopped mating and reproducing, numbers dwindling as if it were a sickness that prevented them. Cows and goats began to give less milk. Some even stopped completely. It was an effort to find land that was still fertile, where the crops would actually grow. Land where animals would still act normal. Animals that still acted normal at all. There was still enough. But not for everyone. Those furthest from the cities, the poorest of the poor struggled. Arthur was born lucky. His father was a knight of great prestige, and was able to give his mother the bakery she always wanted to manage, and provide food for his family even in winter, when desperation reached its peak. But that was only until he...disgraced himself and the family name, before running away and leaving them behind. His mother worked tirelessly to provide for two young children, and Arthur was quick to sign up to become part of the royal army in order to help with the household. He aimed to become a knight, and so far, everything is good. He was here, in a brand new world, with his King and other fellow allies and friends...but that didn't mean time did not stop for them. For the world below. If it didn't die by the time Arthur passed of old age, the future generations would suffer through it. "(Maybe this world can help us...maybe they have a magic spell or potion that can fix things. Even for a while.)" Arthur thought. There had to be something. Anything. Raiden stepped away to presumably meet with his guest, and the servants quickly began to set up the food just as quickly as he had left. Well, he was hungry. And Draksis was already drinking so. Arthur stepped closer to his King, bowing his head. "Your majesty. I think it would be best for you to eat while you think of this. It won't do good on an empty stomach." Arthur offered, a soft smile on his lips before he moved away from the group and took a seat on the table, eyes glistening at the food. One day, there will be enough food like this for everyone in their world! Of that, he hoped. "Thank you very much!" Arthur said to the nearest servants, before wasting no time in beginning to eat. He wasn't just about to let it go to waste! - Morana - Forest near Mystras - Rufus, Mikhail, Typhon, Jari and Elia - Morana clapped her hands together. "Perfect! To the capital we go then!" Morana said as she winked at Typhon. "Don't worry! I totally met the Queen personally just a few days ago! I'll get us to see her!" Morana assured. And by that she meant that she was going to stand by and around until the guards couldn't hold the stench of decaying flesh any longer and simply let her in just to get away from it, which usually worked. "Give me one second!" Morana said as he walked back to the tree she had gone on after earlier. She moved her hands around and one by one she seemed to weave the leaves together. Soon, she came back with a cloak with a hood made out of leaves. She was quick to wrap it around Typhon, pulling the hood over his head. "Typhon the tree person! No one will know the difference!" Morana said before wrapping one arm around Typhon's arm, and the other one around Rufus' arm. "Now, shall we head off?"
Saber Lily 1,543 Posted April 13, 2017 -Eclaire: Kilkis Seres, Throne Room- Eclaire remained quiet and observant. This was not her decision, nor place to speak or give advice. She noticed the glance at her, which only caused slight concern. Why did Shiva look to her? Was that a signal? Was she supposed to- The arrival of Yevgeni, his stance for Helios...everything happened at once. She took a step forward as he walked, tensing. Even as he knelt she stayed alert to the newcomer, but as the spear clattered to the floor, she felt...uneasy. Someone like this...well. It threw her off. And she didn't like it. As court was finally adjourned, as Helios was placed under Jynn, Eclaire relaxed. All ended well...but would there be a cost? That was the question. And so, she turned to Shiva. "What now my Queen?" May I spend time with you? she desperately wanted to ask, but...she was a Queen. She had far better things to do than indulge a broken girl who just wanted to be told she mattered. A selfish...girl, she admitted. A selfish one. -Izanami Sisters: Kilkis Seres, enroute to Castle- Makoto and Takao followed Bherna, but the elder sister was off. She sped up 5o draw abreast of Bherna. "Are there Succubi inhabiting this city?" She asked bluntly. "I feel the presence of my own people. If so, it would be best to stay a good distance away. Trouble will brew if I meet them." Takao bit her lip. "Xi..." "They would discover sooner or later. And the only thing I have to hide is my body. My normal dress is...poor for this....refined place." She looked around once, then focused back on Bherna, gauging her reaction and answer. -Jeremy and Ask'raziel: Convocation Chamber, City of Hunter- "The Convocation shall begin it's meeting." The young yet strong voice of Prince Ask'raziel, Son of My'chael, echoed. He sat upon the Throne of the West, of Mare Septem, sword pointed down, hands resting on the pommel. Shar'aia, Regent Valkyrious, sat upon the Throne of the North, her spear leaning against the chair, the girl herself leaning forward. Upon the Throne of the East, of Mare Regem, sat Maginhilde. The Chief Dominion had her massive warhammer across her lap, polishing the head. As Ask'raziel called the meeting to order, the hammer disappeared in light. Finally, the Throne of the South, of Mare Aurum. Kaliel, Throne Prince, was quiet, hands clasped and resting his elbows on his knees. Only Maginhilde and Shar'aia were direct rulers. Jeremy could be replaced at any time, and Ask'raziel was merely Prince, as was Kaliel. Jeremy's throne randomly moved around, signifying the wandering status of the City of Hunter. The Oathkeeper, the Daedalus, was horizontal. Legs over one arm, his back supported by the other, he had the least "kingly" look, especially as he was eating a peach-like fruit. Raz sighed. "The Convocation of the Order has assembled to discuss the following topics: The Etherius Cure, the return of Princess in Exile, Xion Izanami, reports of a Nephilim within Kilkis Seres, the return of the Iron Lords of Ithuriel, and finally - the status of our respective homes." Maginhilde stood. She was a broad shouldered girl, the kind who can, and would, beat you senseless with her bare fists. "The East was quiet. Isopolis was as always, rarely visited. Then a dragon broke out." "Of course one did." Jeremy said. "Who knows what else is hidden there." Mag sighed. "Otherwise...the Dominion remain fully committed to the Order. No other change." She sat down, and Shar stood. "Mare Luxerion is embroiled in tensions. The Etherius virus has seen Succubi beg for entry, to the point even the most steadfast can't bear to watch the children who barely escaped the chaos starve. I have slowly been setting aside an area for refugees." "Good." Raz said. "This war will be won through kindness, not cruelty. My Father chooses the smite. I chose love." He nodded to her. "Go on." "The Royal Guard has set up temporary camps on a few of Lucerion's satellites, but if the Etherius Virus breaks out, there will be bloodshed." "I will dispatch assistance in setting up." Raz said. "Kaliel?" The quiet boy stood. "The South is as uncertain as ever. The rumors from Isopolis, the tensions amongst the Overworld and the current trouble with the Angelic Castes has made Mare Aurum...uneasy. if a war breaks out again, Thrones will be...aside." Raz nodded. "Thank you." He stood. "Mare Septem is as steadfast as ever. Forgiveness through bloodshed, not love, is how it has stayed. My words fall on deaf ears. All I can do is stay quiet now, and fight with the Order. Finally...reports have confirmed that Princesses in Exile Xion and Takao Izanami have returned to the overworld. Takao holds a divine light. One my guards are...uneasy at." He paused. "We believe they are heading for Kilkis Seres." "I'll check." Jeremy yawned. "Hunter is nearing the Capitol city soon enough. The Icarus are, surprisingly, following my lead. Failure has been on the decline. Less death through attempted cooking or something. Whoever put the curse on us didn't think it through." He swung his legs over to sit upright. "In regards to Ithuriel and Nephilim - The rumors are true. A scout spotted her at the gates." "How do you know it was her?" "Well, like. She was next to the Queen, brand new, and well." He shrugged. "It was Eclaire." Silence. "Like the pastry?" Mag asked. "No..." Raz looked uneasy. "Are you sure..." "I'd know that hair anywhere." Raz gripped Magnanimous. "So...Xion returns, Eclaire is with the Queen, the Ithurians are resurfacing and dragons escape Isopolis." He thought back to his trip North, on the trail of a missing Valkyrie with Shar and Jeremy. They met one of the Iron Lords there. "Many things are changing." Raz stated. "And not all for the better. Maginhilde. Strengthen your city and prepare. Shar, ensure the Northern border is clear. Any real movement, let me know. Kaliel, assist Mag. If things are escaping Isopolis, it is best we stay vigilant. Jeremy and I shall watch over Kilkis Seres. Finally." Hr paused. "We have made progress. The Cure is not finished not for a long, log time. But it is progressing. We...will need that refugee camp." "...I understand." Shar said. "I will be ready." Raz stood. "For what must be done. The Convocation is dismissed." They went their separate ways once more, the meeting over.
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted April 13, 2017 - Henry - Diplomatic Dreadnaught - Judgement - "Yo, Helios" Henry greeted him in his regular nonchalant and laid back manner as the guard escorted him. "I didn't sleep for three days prior, so cut me some slack" He spoke as he showed a friendly smile to his friend. Henry's expression turned from relaxed and laid back to a frown as Helios spoke, but Henry kept to his laid back demeanor and stance. "So everything turned out alright for you, im glad". Henry spoke as he smilled again his tone and aura friendly for once, although those news weren't pleasant at all, he was about to be thrown to the wolves again, 'So another society who thinks I have no place among them'. Henry thought. 'Seems like your curse' Ariana spoke within his mind. 'You could say that, but this isn't going to stop me' Henry thought. 'Determined are you?' 'Its a whole new world, i'l be damned if I let myself get kicked out of here.' He thought. "Seems like im not welcomed wherever I go..." Henry commented to Helios. As his expression turned a bit down and he sighed. "Still, my objective was to free you from Alderon's clutches, no one deserves to share your friend's fate..." Henry spoke. "Which brings me to why I even came to this audience in the first place." Henry spoke as a small smile formed on his face as he looked towards the queen ahd the valkyrie who stood beside her, both beautiful women. Powerful. Henry was not going to pick a fight, but he was not going to bow down either. The most distinct thing about Henry's action in the audience was that he would not bow. He refused to, he bowed to no one. To the frustration of the guards. "Bow!" one of the guards spoke, as he tried to hit Henry's legs with his lance's blunt part. Only for it to have no effect on Henry whatsoever. "Excuse me." Henry began speaking, not with the guards, but with Queen Shiva Herself. "I apologize for the sudden entrance, but I have valuable information about Alderon and his true objectives for coming to this world. And the company he brings with him." Henry spoke as the guards kept on futilely hitting Henry in the leg with their weapons to no effect, the situation looked rather comical and ludicrous. But they were too weak. "Kneel damn you!" One of the guards spoke, now furious as he swung his weapon full force at Henry's leg, Henry didn't even move, because the weapon broke in half the moment it entered contact with Henry's leg. Ahh the wonders of skin toughening. Paying to attention to the guards Henry simply looked at shiva with his relaxed expression, "Will you listen to what I have to say?" Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted April 13, 2017 (edited) --Queen Shiva and Yevgeni -- Kilkis Seres-- A bemused smile played upon the lips of the elf, watching Helios with a trace of curiosity as the younger fey growled at him. So this was Helios, the boy who was discontented with the Overworld so much that he had to break the most ancient of laws. He would have to keep a keen eye on him. There was something . . . unruly about him that sent a chill down his spine. The queen turned her softened gaze onto her son. "That would be wonderful, Jynn, thank you. Should you have to leave them for any reason please bring someone to accompany you, ideally someone very trustworthy. Like Maxis." The queen's gaze hardened as the name of her possessed armor rolled from her tongue. She hadn't seen Maxis in quite some time; where was he? Had he traipsed off with Ivany to the depths of the Overworld, or beyond? She had missed his presence; the man becoming something like a dear uncle or father figure to her. "Or Eclaire," Shiva went on to finish, snapping herself out of her daze. "She has earned my trust manyfold." A light smile tore at the edges of her lips, making Shiva appear far more youthful than she had been over the past few weary days of stress. As she considered the rose-haired woman's following assignment, however, the doors to the throne room had opened once more, this time inviting a man whose presence had never been seen in the Overworld, though Helios immediately seemed to recognize him. The young fey had explained Henry's origins, which caused the queen's eyes to narrow. "I thought it was simply these children that came back with you," she said, voice tight. "I was not anticipating having to meet with one of the human's creations." Her words were cold, hateful, even. She drew a few steps forward before falling in place in front of Henry. Though the man was tall, she easily met his height, her ice-blue gown cascading in folds around her feet and a train of sheer silver trailing behind her. The guards were in a fluster to get Henry to bow, to which Shiva merely raised a hand to silence them. "What are these secrets that you hold?" she asked him. "And what do you hope to gain here?" --King Alderon and Curvis -- Raiden's Villa-- Just like that, Raiden was breaking away from their conversation, apparently disinclined to discuss the matter further. It did seem that the lord of Mystras was at least a little pliable; perhaps there was some hope yet that their departure from this world wasn't set in stone. And of course, there was the possibility of leaving now and hosting themselves in another region of the Overworld, as Midnea had suggested. In truth the plan wasn't half-bad. They could leave Raiden's company and pursue their mission without him, but there were also complications. Their alliance with Raiden was what protected them from the queen, along with all of the other fey that despised their race. Should they double-cross Raiden and stay anyway they could have a very messy situation, with all fey hounding them and no safe way to remain in either world. In a fight they hardly stood a chance. After all, these were fighters with hundreds of years of combat training, not to mention their magical prowess gave them the upper edge. Also, had he imagined the look of disdain on Draksis' face when Midnea spoke of this plan? Perhaps not, but it could've also been because Draksis openly disliked her. Why did those two never get along? Alderon was so distraught in his own thoughts that he jerked in surprise when Arthur spoke to him. His eyes were wide and nearly wild, though he calmed himself almost as quickly. "Yes, yes, of course," he murmured, grasping a plate and placing some bread onto it. "Same goes to you. It will be a long journey back, and goodness knows we don't have food like this at home." Not that he was convinced they would be going back. No, he had to convince Raiden that they stay. How could he face Visco without a remedy to her ailment, or the King of Helvadoria without the finances that he'd promised? It would've been no good for him to return empty-handed like this. There was too much at stake. His thoughts prevented him from sitting still long enough to eat like a decent being. He scraped together a cup of coffee and spread some soft cheese onto his bread, before placing his meal on a tray and taking it up to his room. It wasn't that he was hungry, or even desired to be alone, but rather he needed time to think, especially before he spoke with Raiden. Curvis watched as Alderon took his leave before turning his glance onto his friend Arthur. "Well, I think that's the most conversational I've heard him with any of us since we've gotten here," Curvis murmured bitterly, sitting beside Arthur and propping his chin on in his hand, elbow on the table. His gaze flickered over to Raleigh, though he didn't attempt to meet her eye. After the night before, he couldn't help feeling that he'd made her uncomfortable somehow. Had she tried to escape their little "date" too, by fleeing to the gardens? He felt so, even if it weren't true. Why else would she excuse herself without inviting him to join? One bad thing seemed to happen after another. Curvis took a bite out of what appeared to be quiche, but it was very different than any that he'd had. It was rich, buttery sustenance that one only could stumble upon in a world like this! He quickly ate more than he'd intended, for a time forgetting his manners. He wiped his mouth with his napkin before turning to Arthur again. "So have you decided on what you're going to bring back for the princess?" --Ren Mordecai -- Raiden's reading study-- The sentry had tried to insist that they wait in the hall, but Ren had urged otherwise. "I would like to wait for His Lordship in his library, if you don't mind." If there was anything that Ren almost loved as much as his life, it would be his books. It had been so incredibly long since he'd even touched a book, let alone be surrounded by them! There were some grunts and a swear that were audible from the guard, but he bade Ren's request and led him to Raiden's reading study. And instantly Ren fell in love with that room. In fact, he'd hardly even noticed Raiden enter! He'd been so busy running his finger along several dusty volumes on a shelf, admiring their titles, that he hadn't glanced up until the sentry had greeted him. Immediately the red-haired man straightened, desperately looking for a place to put the book in his hand but failed, instead clutching it to his side. He drew a few paces closer toward Raiden and bowed, surprisingly, and sloppily, in the Mystran manner. Perhaps he had never done it, but instead had read of it, but he was trying to make a kind gesture nonetheless. "My lord, it pleases me greatly to be in your presence," his said earnestly, as though he were in worship. "I thank you immensely for taking the time out of your important meeting to see me today." --Everyth Castanova and the Duke of Helvadoria -- Sondon grounds-- While Everyth once was filled with optimism and determination, those feelings were quickly plummeting with every barrage of attacks that Pracia would throw their way. She was too skilled and too dangerous; even Everyth, one of the most powerful humans in the kingdom, stood no chance against her. Her magic was merely child's play in comparison. Pracia's magic was making the Duke a little nervous as well, squirming as he glanced over at Alex and back over to the sorceress. While he was a fair amount of talk, he was very much no bite, and this didn't seem like the place that he wanted to be in at that very moment. "Fine, you've gotten your way for now," he snapped at Alex, sheathing his blade. "We shall retreat. But do not forget this night, for this is only the beginning. You can thank your King Alderon for that." With that, the cowardly Duke Reynald retraced his steps back toward his men, and fled away into the dark of the night on horseback. Everyth, however, could only hear what was going on around her, as her sense of sight was completely taken from her. She cried out in horror. There was no pain, only darkness which enveloped her. She wished greatly that this loss of sight meant that her surroundings were gone and that she no longer stood in King Alderon's courtyard, in pain, in the worst apparel that she'd ever been in. If not for her magic, she would've been entirely useless. Closing her eyes the raven-haired woman focused. She could still hear the sound of Pracia's annoying voice, her pulsating magic, and with the energy of her own she managed to lock on to her target. She withdrew the silver sword at her waist, placing a palm along its smooth edge as it turned violet. It rose into the air, twirling several times before pointing directly at Pracia's chest. It soared through the air at immense speed, the magical energy surrounding the blade sensing Pracia's magic and--like a magnet--was drawn to it. The screams coming from Effie brought fear to the dark-haired mage, but there was hardly anything else she could do. Maybe she had already met her match. And before she had even wed, too. Elrandir 783 Posted April 14, 2017 - Currently at the Imperial City of Exire - Main Office of the Knights of the Round -It had been a while since the judges reunited in the same room, the office often had one or two visitors at most, but now it was different. This event was noticed by one of the younger fey, a fairy named Asteri."You know," said Asteri,"it has been centuries since the last time we were here together."The next one, a siren by the name of Ciel waved her hand and looked at the fairy."Indeed it has," she replied, "It is possible that the reason of this reunion has to do with both Elil and Rei's absence?"The only male in the room, a lycanthrope by the name of Khayal, looked at the girls around the room and sighed."The rest were more busy than we are," he said, "and that is the reason why there is only four of us. Isn't that correct, Valdra?"The last of the judges, a young Fire Elemental, it so it seemed, named Valdra."The real reason is that you want to know the wereabouts of both Sifrei and Eliltari," Valdra answered, "instead of playing games, you should return to your assigned places and watch over the citizens."Asteri laughed ant pointed at Valdra."You are so serious for someone so young," Asteri said calmly, "live a little, enjoy these scarce times when we can be together. Besides, if there is a problem, the King will call for us."Ciel nodded at Asteri's comment and looked around."I know it is that time of the month when Elil leaves the continent," she said, "but there is no reason for Rei to be gone. Perhaps those two are together right now."Valdra, who in reality was amused by the attitude of the fey children, simply looked at each and one of them."Change is coming. Sooner or later you will learn of the reason," Valdra said, her tone neutral. "You can only wonder what is happening in the neighboring continent now that the barrier has been breached. Enough said, return to your duties. All the Order will be called back if there is a reason for it." Asteri was the first to ran to the door before looking back, a playful "Yes mom!" leaving her lips. Khayal was the next, he had to return to the ranches, apparently a band of ice spirits were terrorizing the people, continuously freezing their livestock. Ciel was the last, and she kept her eyes on Valdra the whole way out, just a simple "Later" came out of her mouth. Valdra was going to remain there, or at least her mortal vessel, or as mortal as a fey body could be. Far away from the city, in the Forest of Illusions, the body of the last Great Drake stirred. The adventures of the High Elf and the Archangel were not lost to her, maybe this would signal the end of the current age and the dawn of the next one, only time would tell. - Aeternum Siblings - Judgement Day in Kilkes Seres Castle -The siblings were surprised by Henry's entrance, but were both glad and slightly afraid for the reaction of the people in the room. Both of them nodded at the man and then looked at the Queen. Gone was the attitude from before, replaced by something cold and dark."We should be careful," Aura whispered to her brother, "this Queen is not happy."Aurion slowly nodded and looked between Henry and Shiva."This can lead to disaster," he whispered back, "let's just hope the Queen can calm herself and listen to what Henry has to say."- Rabiyu - Front Gates of Mystras - Vs Doom Hound -"Let's not jump to conclusions," Rabiyu said to Dawson, "Let's just focus on killing it before it does more harm."Rabiyu was looking at the new guest, a friend of Alastor, perhaps? In any case, Alastor's attack had destroyed the Hound, with only its arm left, or so it seemed. The creature suddenly appeared once again behind Alastor's friend, this made Rabiyu point her bow at the creature before he jumped and attacked. His objective was obvious, destroy the creature. Rabiyu raised her arms and the remaining water gathered in front of her."I am sure it cannot keep fighting in that state," she said, "better to kill it now."The water then was shot in the form of a very high-pressure stream, one that could cut even through metal, if the Doom Hound was hit by it then it would lose another extremity.- Sifrei - Somewhere around Sondon grounds -A lone building was in the middle of the land, a land at war apparently. Sifrei was surrounded by a dozen men, thieves by the look of it."Hand over anything of worth you have," one thief said while smiling, "and you can keep your life. If not, then your life will be ours to take."Sifrei was not really listening to the thief, instead, he was staring through a window."What is going on near that castle?" he asked, "it looks like it's being invaded."Another thief laughed at pointed his dagger at the archangel."Serves them right! nobles can burn to ashes for all we care," he yelled, "maybe the dog princess is finally dead!"This got a response from Sifrei."Please, elaborate," he said, "what about this "dog" princess?"All the thieves laughed at this, like a funny joke, one that Sifrei didn't understand."Quite the sight that princess, eh?" the leader said, "Looks normal from a distance, but once you get close she looks like a dog walking on two legs! The Mad King must have made a pact with the devil if he procreated a monster like that. But enough of that! give us anything you have and you can-"A bright light could be seen from the outside of the building, if there was someone else, of course. The battle near the castle grounds was enough reason for the lack of people around at the time. Inside, Sifrei was now looking at the men on the ground, they were not dead, just sleeping, and they would forget the reason they were there in the morning."I wonder," he thought, "it seems this nation is fighting a war. I followed the essences of the humans to this land. This requires further investigations."The Archangel left the building. Everything was moving in slow motion, everything but him, it was time to see what the humans were doing. (Silly Judges! Stop wasting time and protect the citizens! Or go and have lunch together. Either way is fine)
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted April 14, 2017 - Henry - Diplomatic Dreadnaught - Staredown with Shiva - This was it, moment of truth, face to face with Shiva herself, her cold, authoritative gaze did not scare him in the least, he's come to far to let others threaten and scare him now. Henry maintained the stare, not breaking eye contact with Shiva for even a second, she did the same, her cold gaze didn't let him go, not even move. But Henry was ready. "Don't need to treat me like a monster." Henry commented dryly at Shiva's tone. As he chuckled as Shiva questioned his motives for being here. "The truth". He spoke as he folded his arms as his gaze upped in intensity. "Fine, i'l start. I know the reason why Alderon has come to this world." Henry began, taking a deep breath. "he did not come here to steal your feys, complete opposite in fact." Henry let out the huge one first, for added effect. "Taking feys, experimenting on them, turning soldiers into weapons...it was never the primary goal, believe it or not." Henry spoke as he kept his gaze steady. "The true reason why he came here...was to cure his daughter." Henry explained. "She had been cursed since birth, with the characteristics of a dog, thats right, ears, nose, voice and everything. She even barks sometimes." Henry explained. "He did not come here to take your feys, nor did he come here to break the barrier, albeit that is also one of his main goals, he'd gladly forfeit it to lift his daughter's curse." Henry spoke as he closed his eyes for a second and breathing. Whether this was angering Shiva or not, Henry did not care. The atmosphere was obviously very tense now.. "But that is not all...You are aware of Helios's plight, the tortures he faced and his friend...ariana's death." Henry changed the topic of discussion for a second. "I know about that....I was there...that cursed ritual was what gave me these powers" Henry spoke as he held out an arm as it was entirely covered in dreadnaught. As the material began to spread accross his body and finishing up covering it entirely, finishing in full dreadnaught splendor before dissipating. "But that ritual...It was not natural at all, it didn't involve tools or machinery. It involved black magic, curse magic." Henry began explaining, this was now courtesy of him carrying on some of Ariana's memories from the posession. "You see Alderon has the company of a quite vile...being whom serves as his advisor...'her' cursed ritual left Ariana crippled and terminaly ill. she was confined away from Helios, without him knowing, his friend was left to die and rot on a solitary cell." Henry explained the events of Ariana's death, but not fully. He didn't want to admit that he was the one who did it. Henry now broke eye contact and turned his back on Shiva as he took a few steps away. "Now he comes to the Overworld, accompanied by the same being who caused all of this suffering. It is her you need to worry yourself about. Not Alderon, he leads an army of elite knights, none of which are capable of fighting against the magic of the Overworld even with magic suppressive gear. But she...Leave her alone and you might as well doom your entire capital and world." Henry spoke. His back still turned. "WHo is this mysterious person you wonder? I'l help you..." Henry began chuckling for a second, before returning to his dead serious tone. Taking from Ariana's memories. "It was someone whom was banished from the Overworld, tortured, banished and forgotten...you know who..." Henry explained in detail. "She is toying with the human kingdom as she pleases, and she has Alderon on the palm of her hand." Henry finished. "Now...for the reason as to why I am telling you all of this to you..." Henry spoke. As he quickly spun around and pointed his finger at Shiva, As he returned to the dead serious stare from before. "You will tell me the reason for the barrier between both of our worlds, and why you've let the human race rot and slowly die for so long." Henry spoke, plainly and cleanly, simple and effectively. This could get him killed, but he came too far. Too far to back down now. "A Fair deal don't you think?" "I ask that whatever it is that you do, leave this between you and me, Leave Helios and the twins out of this for I am doing this out of my own free will...Now answer my question. Every day people die from famine, illnesses and drought because of this blasted barrier." Henry spoke seriously. "Now answer me." Henry finished. His determination and conviction clear in his voice. 1 Nero Kunivas reacted to this
Stardustblade358 806 Posted April 14, 2017 -Helios - Diplomatic Showdown - Aura, Aurion, Gel(?), Henry, Queen Shiva, Prince Jynn, Eclaire, and Yev- Helios was not happy how the Queen referred to Henry. However, as expected, Henry didn't flinch, nor hesitated to speak back. Helios smirked as one of the guards practically shook when their sword shattered against Henry's skin. But the smirk slowly faded away as he began to speak. Of course he would know more, as a prior follow of Alderon, probably even one of his knights. But Helios didn't expect what came next. Of course, the princess. The one Helios had only seen once in the feast prior to...everything that came after. She had odd features, and her illness was always whispered among the guards and staff. Alderon was a king, and he was cruel, and Helios hated him with every fiber of his being and yet...he was also a father, and that Helios could understand. But Henry wasn't over. When he reached the topic of Ariana, Helios' heart skipped a beat, and once he learned what had happened, her fate, how she was left to die and rot and he knew nothing of it, the familiar ache crept up again. "She..." Helios murmured. Everything else seemed to blur away as he felt warm tears surge. The image of Ariana as she was, lively, full of life, brilliant and graceful to be reduced...to that. Unable to even fight back. Left to suffer. It should've been me. How would he ever tell her family? How would he ever tell Ren? "...Ari..." Helios sobbed as he gripped his hair and closed his eyes shut. He didn't want to think of it. What if he could have done something and he didn't? What if he had just left her when he should've fought harder? Try and find her instead of just assume her dead and gone? Crying would not solve a damn thing, and he quickly wiped his tears away as soon as he could, forcing to compose himself. He barely heard Henry's explanation of Alderon's accomplice. But he somehow managed to hear just quick enough to listen to the accusations of the barrier...and how it had drastically created an unstable situation for the world below, leaving them to rot. "What?" Helios gasped. The barrier...no one ever mentioned any of that. Only that for whatever reason, the worlds had to be separated. He remember feeling the earth weak, the animals feeling drained and unnatural, how they would whisper to him of how they felt the world slowly dying, meeting humans and families murmuring of such. He just figured it was just that the world was coming to its natural end. But...if it was because of the barrier...The accusations easily left the floor eerily silent. -Arthur - Raiden's Villa - Raiden's Morning Call- Arthur looked up as the king walked away, taking some food to his room. Arthur frowned as he ate, and listened to Curvis. He looked up at him, offering a small frown. "Our King burdens much on his shoulders." Arthur admitted. "He is King and ruler of a dying Kingdom. Everyone who saw us off is expecting for us to return with something to fix...whatever is afflicting home. If we were to come empty...I think his fears of returning as such are justified." Arthur admitted with a sigh. He had to think of the King as human too. One person, who an entire kingdom looked up to for answers and solutions. However Curvis' question brought some cheerful memories and feelings as he looked up with a smile and nodded. "Yup!" Arthur said, pointing at a vase of the red flowers from yesterday, picking one up and offering it to Curvis. "See these flowers? Lord Raiden explained to me that these are called Amaranth, the undying flowers! It can withstand any kind of handling, fire, cold, ripped or shredded, as long as the flower buds and roots are not damaged, they can live up for lifetimes. I picked up an entire vase of these yesterday. I have them right here." Arthur explained as he took out the envelope where the letter and flowers were in, before getting it back to its safe place. Then he winked, before picking up a handful of bread. "These flowers shall represent my undying love for her...I hope she likes them." Arthur hummed, smiling softly at the thought of how Visco would react to the flowers. He took a bite out of the bread, smiling as he waited to chew and swallow before speaking again. "I'm more concerned that the King will be led by Midnea again. She's scary."
Endless Thundaga 533 Posted April 15, 2017 (edited) Jynn Venas - Courtroom within Kilkes Seres When Shiva lands on the floor everyone is standing, she coldly, and somewhat hatefully remarks that she did not expect to meet a fey-human hybrid. She even leaves a trail of ice in an attempt to intimidate Henry. However, Henry was unafraid. Neither was Jynn, as the prince walks between the two and tries to keep aggression between them at a minimum. "I do not think hostility is necessary between anyone here." He then backs up next to Helios, facing Henry with his hands behind his back. "Please continue. What information do you have for us?" For most of Henry's discussion, Jynn remains quiet, but keeps tabs on his mother's behavior. He was ready to calm her if needed. But as soon as Henry mentions Ariana, Jynn notices Helios was quite upset, and he was even shedding some tears. The prince could not help but feel sympathetic for the boy, even placing a hand on Helios's shoulder to try to reassure him. Jynn understood the feeling of losing a dear friend; it is hard and painful, unforgettable as well. Then Henry begins to draw Jynn's attention, as he begins talking about a mysterious woman who is toying with the humans and Alderon. Apparently, she was from the Overworld, but she was banished, and managed to arrive in the world below. Jynn was desperate to know who it was, but remained silent. Finally, Henry harshly asked Shiva about the barrier and why she left the world below to die from disease and other horrible conditions. This leaves Jynn appalled. He looks down with thoughts racing through his head. There was not many things Shiva has told Jynn about the barrier. Wait. Famine? Drought? I thought I was told that barrier was to keep both worlds apart, safe, and peaceful. Is there something that mother has not told me? Endless Thundaga 533 Posted April 19, 2017 Bherna Lao - Kilkes Seres with Izanami Sisters As Xion asks the young fey about the presence of other Succubi, Bherna pauses. She was unable to make a truthful answer, since she is not in the city every day. "Um. I don't think so.....?" Xion continues on, explaining that there will be hostility if she were to meet another Succubi other than Takao. Why would trouble occur between two individuals of the same race? Bherna crosses her arms. "I'm sorry to sound oblivious, but why would there be trouble if you encounter someone of the same race? I don't understand." Dawson - Front gates of Mystras with Rabiyu, Alastor, and the Infiltrator As soon as the creature dies, it turns to ash, much to Dawson's surprise. He withdraws his axe and walks up to the ash pile cautiously. He picks up a bit of ash. "Interesting....... So these creatures leave very little trace of themselves once they die? Very interesting." He drops the ash and turns to the rest of the group. He had many questions on his head in regards to what is going on, but felt as if it was none of his business. He turns to Rabiyu, as she didn't seem to be aggressive towards the Palico as Alastor was. He then quickly bows to her and the Infiltrator. It was a Palico tradition to bow to an ally after the defeat of an enemy. He also begrudgingly bows to Alastor as well. "Well, I apologize for intervening. I feel that I've obviously done more bad than good. I'll make my way to Milos. G'day." He then turns back to the city of Mystras to catch his ride. (Sorry for posting later than I promised. I fractured my wrist in a riding accident a few days ago.)
Elrandir 783 Posted April 20, 2017 - Aeternum Siblings - Kilkes Seres Castle -The Siblings remained silent while Henry spoke, sometimes looking at each other and nodding when they agreed with Henry."I have to admit that the Princess is a topic the Mad King doesn not like to talk about," Aura said to her brother, "But to think it is a curse that is causing her condition, is that possible?"Aura slowly looked around the room, taking notice of the people inside."Maybe it is not that impossible, Sister," Aurion answered, "They possess the gift of magic. Why, then, should it be impossible for one of them to use those abilities for doing bad instead of good."Both Siblings were surprised when Henry talked about the current status of their world, and that's when they made a connection."Do you think," Aura whispered to Aurion, "that this barrier has something to do besides blocking access to this world?"Aurion sighed and shrugged, his face completely calm."Who can say," he answered, "perhaps this will be the oportunity to find out more about this."- Rabiyu - Front Gates of Mystras -And so Rabiyu was waiting for another burts of flames from the Hound, for another attack, but the creature was no more, its remains slowly turning into ashes by the same fire it used. Her hand slowly relaxed itself as she descended to the ground, her mistly cloak appearing in her shoulders and slowly going down. The battle was over and it was time to relax, until the Palico came and bowed swiftly, which Rabiyu did the same. Strange fey he was, and apparently he was in a hurry to leave, Rabiyu had heard the Palico mention the Prince, an acquaintance of his, maybe? In any case, a new day had begun, a new day without sleep, not that she wasn't used to it."Who would have thought something like this would happen," Rabiyu asked to herself, "It appears that the Queen of Ice and the Crown Prince like to be followed by bad luck, along with anyone who are with them."The High Elf was not amused, the barrier was breached, and the reason was hiding within the city, under the careful eyes of Lord Raiden. Her report for the Tide Mother was already late, she still needed to know the reasons for Raiden to open the barrier and permit entrance to humans. There was no use in theatrics anymore, the direct approach would have to suffice. She she slowly dusted herself off before looking between the Infiltrator and Alastor."I think that the situation is worth it, so I will be blunt, Master Alastor." Rabiyu said calmly, "I think Lord Raiden found it strange to find the Crown Prince wandering into the city out of nowhere, didn't he?"Rabiyu suspected that Raiden already knew they were coming, perhaps not the reasons, but he had to know about their presence."I came here as part of a group, yes? One that included two more members," she said, "one who went to Lord Raiden's villa with the Prince, Alicia. And the other remained with me, his name is Yevgeni. We were tasked with the mission of finding out if Lord Raiden had anything to do with the breaching of the barrier, which I still suspect he might."The white haired girl looked around the battle ground, it sure was an intense fight, a worthy battle."It is true that the Queen of Ice was the one who gave the order, but I did not came here for her," Rabiyu shook her head and took a deep breath, "My orders come from the Rulers of the North. I was sent to investigate the cause of the disruption and, if allowed, to learn of the reasoning of Lord Raiden for attemping such a thing. The King of Kings and the Tide Mother wanted to assess the options, either collaborate with the Ice Queen to keep the barrier closed, offer support to Lord Raiden to fully open the barrier, or remain neutral and away from this land."This was it, the moment of truth, it wouldn't be as effective as to get the answers from Raiden himself, but this would have to be enough, for now. Rabiyu looked to the two fey in front of her, her face completely calm, and covered in soot."Do you know of such reasons, Master Alastor?" Rabiyu asked, "Perhaps you companion does? Or such information was not shared in its entirely with anyone? I think King Asura and Lady Leviathan will be interested in learning about the return of the Black Witch and the humans that are currently wandering in the city."- Sifrei - Sondon territory -Sifrei had been watching the battle between the few remaining Helvadorian Knights and Sondon Knights, those did knew how to fight, at least in human terms. A fight between fey could be more destructive."Still no sights of this so called "dog princess"", Sif thought, "Perhaps I should look for a little more."Everything around the Archangel once again slowed down, he did not wanted to be bothered, and he didn't wanted to get in the way of the fight."Things have changed after a few millennia," he said quietly, " but that is to be expected of such a short lived creature."It seemed that the status of the underworld was not good. The magical sources were alsmot gone, the land didn't feel all that good, and by the look of it, there were far more wars between kingdoms. The mission had to keep going. Saber Lily 1,543 Posted April 21, 2017 -Izanami Sisters; To the castle of Kilkis Seres- Xion didn't speak for a moment...then she extended her arm. The bandages seemed to rip apart, revealing revealing a blackish red arm of pure...malice. "He calls it Etherius. Demons call if Consumption, for it consumes our own race. It is an infliction upon the demonic races, so we may tear ourselves apart. I was exiled for this infliction." The arm disappeared, replaced by bandages once again. "It is not contagious to anyone not of demonic blood." Takao sighed. "I have a blessing of light. That makes me safe." "So. You're back." -Jeremy of Hunter, City of Kilkis Seres- The Icarian leader was currently leaning against a stall, eating a fruit. He had tried to steal it. Instead he ended up taking a freebie that the vendor was giving out. Taking a bite, he headed over to the quartet, trying to bump into everyone but managing to flawlessly weave through the crowd to them. He waved. "Heard you were back." He looked pretty stoic. "I didn't think you'd return until we found the cure." "Circumstances beyond my control." "Mm. I'm here to warn you that Luxuria has deteriorated. Be careful." He turned and bowed to Bherna. "Apologies for barging in on you." He said. "Now I must go. A worrisome problem arrived a bit ago. Duty calls." He looked at Xion. "And remember. Love triumphs over fear." He turned and left, leaving Xion to fume at the enigmatic Icarus.
Vaude 536 Posted April 23, 2017 - The Infiltrator, currently near the front gates of Mystras - The Infiltrator had to admit that this was a little unexpected. He came here thinking that it was necessary for his efforts to blast this thing to kingdom come and send its soul elsewhere from its body, but it certainly seemed not necessary at all. Alastor and the others had it covered quite nicely, and while he performed what seemed to be the death blow any one of these combatants that fought it was probably capable of doing the same thing as he. He had little pride to ruffle. He had to give them great credit for the damage they dealt to it far. The creature turned to ash soon afterwards, its body igniting itself and all of its evidence, but not before it gave The Infiltrator the evidence he needed. That odd chill, that unequivocal sensation -- he felt it beforehand, in some shape or form, in the depths of Isopolis, and while he could not guess who it was from a glance he could easily guess its origins. Alastor seemed to suspect the same, from what he mentioned, and so did one of these strangers. Rabiyu in The Infiltrator's eyes was interesting and uncommon, and he quickly scanned her with a calculating gaze. From what he could garner, she was supposedly an emissary and an ambassador of the North, and evidently she was a devastating elemental magician as well. There was no reason to probe her onward. Few would dare pose as the holder of such an office. However, he had reason to fear the wealth of information she seemed to harbour, all of which could prove very detrimental to Raiden's cause if given to his enemies and prove a great boon if used to make allies. Should he respond to her questions in an honest and forthcoming manner or should he remain silent and perhaps attempt to kill her off? He had the lamp on his back. All it would take was one carefully worded wish and her end would come swiftly. Coming to a quick conclusion of his dilemma, the masked man dismissed the last remnants of his electromagnetic armour, assured himself that he must lie if it came to that, and took a few steps forward. That's when the pain struck him, a menacing agony rising from the base of his spine to the tip which arose out of taking those steps. As if it were instinctive, he recoiled backward, and the pain died away as quickly as it had begun. What? was his initial reaction, gritting his teeth through the intensity of that pain. It seemed as if it was all in his head, but he knew otherwise. Never in all of his life did this happen to him, and it did not occur because of his fancy acrobatics. Clearing these thoughts from his pounding skull, he continued with what he initially craved to say. "They certainly would be interested in that news, if it were indeed the return of the Black Witch, but what makes you think that this is the case as well as the fact that there are humans wandering the city? I find both of these possibilities unlikely." Lies did not come up well for him, which he came to hate over the years of being in service as Raiden's double and mimicking him as well as he had, but The Infiltrator tried to make the lie as smooth as silk. He looked over to Alastor, hoping The Storm would back him up in his efforts of keeping the truth hidden. Beyond his question and the awkward sensation of pain, something else dogged his mind: Humans wandering the city? What is she talking about? All of the humans are at the villa, right? I thought the guards and I made sure of this. - Lord Raiden, currently within his reading study with Ren inside Raiden's villa - Raiden was taken aback at Ren's mannerisms, partially because of his love for books and partially because he performed a sloppy Mystran bow to him. Was the boy of the city of Mystras, be it for short or for long, or was it done out of respect? Either way, Raiden looked at the young man appreciatively and performed a similar standing bow full of reverence. "The pleasure is mine, I assure you, and while it was an important meeting I make room in my schedule for everyone," he replied with a smile upon rising. Raiden next turned towards the sentry nearby, his expression still clinging to his face. "My good man, I would like to speak with this young man alone. You may return to your post, but first grab a bite to eat from the hall we all were just in and grab a morsel of food if you are hungry. "As for yourself, youth, what is your business here? You look half-starved yourself, though your spirits are surprisingly higher than that of our good guard and begs the question of what caused this to occur." - Raleigh Marin, currently within the grand hall of Raiden's villa - Raleigh watched with great excitement as foods and drinks of various assortments were laid out on the table, the female gourmet taking in the beauty and enchanting aroma of these foreign consumables. It seemed as if each of the dishes had a tasteful amount of garnish on top of them, and her stomach growled like an animal's even as she reached for the nearest solid foods she could find, set them on her plate, and downed them. However, her thoughts traced back to Curvis, and she absently looked over to find him chatting with a nearby knight she really never met but remembered seeing beforehand. Raleigh felt that she had left him on a sour note after requiring a walk to clear her head. He did not seem to mind too horribly, however, if he was seemingly excitingly talking with a friend, so maybe it was not much of a bother. Even still, how can she start a conversation with him? She was an assassin, not a courier. Starting up small talk was not in her repertoire. Perhaps it would all boil down to something easy later, she thought to herself as she cut a swathe into a square of some sort of egg-based custard topped with berry sauce and popping it in her mouth. The taste was extraordinary, even if the ingredients were simple. She could taste the butter, the egg, the flour base, and the sauce all merging together in perfect unison. She wished she could stay in this world. Who knew how many culinary masterpieces there were to sample and enjoy if she was allowed free roam to every restaurant and court? Elrandir 783 Posted April 23, 2017 (edited) - Rabiyu - Front Gates of Mystras - The High Elf listened to the Infiltrator, her demeanor a very calm one, and her face devoid of any hint of emotion, which was her normal everyday behavior. There was something she noticed, and that was the abnormal movements of the Infiltrator, she didn't thought that he was injured enough to make those movements, but in the end she decided not to speak. "An interesting question," Rabiyu answered while looking at the Infiltrator, "one that I can easily answer, if only to prove that I mean no ill will." Rabiyu slowly turned her head to look at Alastor, then she nodded in his direction before looking back at the Infiltrator. "I found out about the Black Witch's return thanks to him," she said bluntly, "He told me when we were looking for that creature. Let me be honest, I was both surprised and amazed to learn that the Witch was back. How? I do not care. Why? I suspect that it has something to do with the humans wandering around the city. Which brings me to the next topic." Sure, she was going to tell the truth, maybe not all of it, but it was the truth nonetheless. Whatever Yevgeni's plan was with that strange group of humans was not something she fully understood, and something she was not going to tell. "I saw the humans last night. How do I know they were humans?" she asked, "simple. You cannot expect me to mistake a fey, not even a newborn, with a human. Why? because each and every one of us possesses a touch of the arcane forces that run through the world, they didn't possessed that. Perhaps you will say that there are ways to mask a source of arcane energy, but I wouldn't make a mistake at the distance I was from them." Indded, those three were strange. Three blank spots in a sea of arcane forces, three spots that really stood out if anyone paid attention. "I hope my answers can suffice, If you still do not trust in me, then dare I ask," Rabiyu said calmly," what else would you like to known? I already told you my reason to be here, that I did not came alone, that I do not answer to the Queen of Ice nor the Crown Prince. Now that I am alone I come not as an ally of the Queen of Ice, but as a neutral envoy from the North with the sole purpose of investigate and report back my findings so my King and Queen can decide what to do." Rabiyu sighed, she had to admit this was not the desired outcome, but she could understand the Infiltrator's reasoning. "If what you fear is the misuse of that information, that it could be delivered to Queen Shiva," Rabiyu said quietly, "then you shouldn't fear. The relationship between Queen Shiva and the rulers of Caligo are...almost noneexistent. They do not agree with how late King Alexander handled the situation, and that the Queen is still following in her father's footsteps keeping the barrier." Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted April 23, 2017 --Queen Shiva and Yevgeni -- Kilkis Seres-- For several moments the throne roomed remained silent, with the only sound being Henry's voice as he proffered his story. Shiva fixated him with her intense stare, one that lasted so long that she perhaps blinked only once or twice. Eventually she blinked hard and broke her gaze away, mind spinning with the information that Henry proffered her. "Midnea," she said softly, fists curling at her side. It made sense, when she gave it more thought. There was the possibility, of course, that Raiden had reached out to the humans below, but would he aid them in snatching the magical energy from feys to create their own army? Not likely. Further, the world below lived in a state of little advancement, their medical procedures basic and mundane in comparison to what they once were thousands of years ago when they went to war. It wasn't probable that the humans had found a way to augment themselves on their own--of course Midnea was helping them, and why wouldn't she? There's no doubt that she was vengeful from her sentence. "Is she here?" Shiva asked, though the obvious was plainly in her face. Had Raiden known she was here? Worse yet, was he sheltering her from Shiva, and were they potentially . . . allies? No, the queen couldn't bear to entertain the thought. Eventually she managed to overcome her surprise enough to hear Henry's request, to which her nostrils flared angrily as her expression hardened once more--beautiful and yet deadly. "You are in no position to demand anything from me, nor do I owe you any explanation," was her response, turning her back on the dreadnaught and taking a few steps away from him. "While I appreciate your information, it has not earned you answers or any rights within our realms. You are to return to your world or join your friends in my son's home. Is that understood?" The silence was broken by the jingling of Yevgeni's golden hilt, as he shifted from his position on the ground. He eyed Henry inquisitively, emerald eyes glittering with interest. There was something ever so familiar about this man, something that he missed. An aura, or a strange vibe. But what was it? He couldn't quite name it, though it certainly struck him as curious. "With all due respect, Your Majesty," Yevgeni managed again, despite the fact that the queen had quite clearly dismissed him moments ago. "I feel that this man's request is reasonable. He has, after all, provided you with sound reason and valuable information about our invaders and forewarned us of the threat of Midnea. I do not see the harm in entertaining his curiosity with the knowledge that he seeks, particularly since it would not hurt us any. Unless, of course, there is more to the situation than I myself am aware." He clasped his hands together behind his back, watching the two as Shiva shot him a death glare. Her lips were pursed, her glare shifting from the fey and on to her human inquisitor. For a moment it seemed as though she would never speak again, until finally she blurted. "The late king has severed ties between our worlds so that your kind would shed no more blood. The majority of fey are peaceful beings that keep to themselves, or at least until humans invaded and started slaying us all. Humans have been proven to be ignorant, arrogant, and selfish in nature, shedding blood unnecessarily and completely lacking the value of life. Because of the flaws of the human race, we no longer will affiliate ourselves with them, and thus the barrier was put into place. While I will not deny that the deterioration of the world below is regrettable, there is nothing that I can do." With that, she turned from Henry and walked away, strolling toward the doorway of the throne room before turning her head. Her pale-blue hair glistening over her shoulder. "Prince Jynn, you may escort these humans when you deem fit, though I still wish to seek out a healer for you. Would you be willing to visit one before departing, if I may find one?" Despite her duties to her kingdom as queen, she was still, first and foremost, a mother. --Ren Mordecai -- Raiden's Villa: reading lounge-- The redhead was positively delighted and jubilant as Raiden greeted him, though was a little baffled by inquiring as to his business. After all, hadn't Raiden sent for him? Regardless, he shrugged it off quickly and politely began to address his lord's question. "I have come because I owe you a great service, my lord," said Ren. "You have freed me from a prison that I was sentenced to forevermore, and for that I am indebted to you for the rest of eternity. Whatever it is you request I will not hesitate to fulfill. While I was once loyal to a queen that I thought was wholly good, I have learned since that her ways are corrupt and evil, and that she wishes for the demise of all but her own. You see, my friend has recently returned from the world below, and will soon meet an eternal fate of torture and imprisonment in Isopolis as I once have, unless she is stopped. I am certain, my lord, that if you permitted me to save him that he too would be in your service, and he is similar to myself in that he can change form, something which would be undoubtedly useful to you and your cause." He bowed his head lowly, finally pausing to draw in a long breath of the sweet-smelling air of books and coffee. "But alas, I have spoken far too much. While I am passionate about beginning my work and see some possibilities of where to begin, I understand that you have probably summoned me for a very specific cause, and that you are the master of strategy in this case." The ragged young man ran his tongue along his dry, cracked lips, eyeing a silver tray on Raiden's reading desk. Upon it was a pitcher of water, another with perhaps another beverage, and a clear glass. His dark eyes darted up to meet Raiden's. "Now, sir, if it would not be too much trouble, would you mind it too greatly if I stole away something to drink? My throat is rather parched; I'm not very used to using it." --Curvis Sourati -- Raiden's Villa: breakfast table-- A soft smile curved the knight's lips as he drew in the scent of the lovely flowers that Arthur had shown him. "And what a fine gift that will make for Her Majesty," he said warmly, gladdened that Arthur thought of her. The fondness he bore for the princess was rather touching, though he felt a pang of sorrow at the thought as well. Should Arthur and Visco indeed fall in love it wouldn't bode well with the king. How would he feel of one of his trusted knights falling for his daughter? Of course he would never allow them to wed, and most likely the relationship would end in heartbreak. This made Curvis' stomach knot, though he didn't say anything of the matter to his friend lest he hurt his feelings an crush his heart prematurely. The brunet watched as Midnea returned to the room, sitting and eating alone, something that wasn't unusual to the royal advisor. It didn't seem that she had many friends. A part of Curvis even felt sorry for her. Alderon hadn't particularly left on a pleasant note between the two of them; were they still quarreling? Had they both disappeared so that they could fight some more? Curvis nodded in the direction of the witch, before whispering lowly to Arthur: "Should we, or, I, rather, try to speak with her? She must be a little taken aback that her advise received such a negative reception." --Elia Cabret -- en route to Kilkis Seres-- The fairy let out a slight yelp as she removed her boot, massaging her heels lightly. The trek that they'd embarked upon hadn't been the most pleasant; she would've much rather flown, but she couldn't take everyone and particularly hated to leave everyone behind. It was going to be so nice to return home after all of their journeying, though she couldn't help but feel that they were returning empty-handed, with the exception of a new genie, cyph, kitsune, wendigo, and witcher. What an odd bunch they really were. They had no news on the prince, or even on Lord Raiden, for that matter. The closest thing they had to word was with Jari, which hopefully held promise, but even Elia was uncertain of how much he knew, or what he was willing to share. He mostly sought their protection, which was a curious thing in and of itself. If he was so fearful of his life, she somewhat doubted that he was ready to leak valuable information of the Mystran lord, even in the safe confides of Kilkes Seres' walls. She glanced up, barely able to make out the turrets of the grand kingdom far in the distance, below the rocky terrain of where they currently stood. She shot a smile over toward Aqua. Her friend had been rather quiet as they traversed; was something on her mind? She had been rather serious ever since they'd fought Jimba, stirring concern in Elia's chest. She didn't wish to press it, however, and felt the young elf would speak about the situation when she felt like sharing--if she ever did. "Well, almost there, guys," Elia said finally, to no one and everyone in particular. "I can't wait to show you all around! There's an amazing ice cream shop that I can't wait to take you to. They say that it is made from unicorns, but I don't think I really believe that."
Stardustblade358 806 Posted April 23, 2017 -Helios - Diplomatic Showdown - Aura, Aurion, Gel(?), Henry, Queen Shiva, Prince Jynn, Eclaire, and Yev- The answer was kind of like a slap to the face of humanity. The way the Queen spoke of it seemed so simple, as if it was a story told on a Saturday afternoon or one that would be told casually followed by the words of 'oh by the way'. A history that was long forgotten, simply stored away in a shelf and never spoke of again...until now. The Queen's anger towards the humans was understandable. But of how she spoke of them caused Helios' stomach to turn into knots. Yes, there were many greedy humans. But the Feys weren't perfect either. Not as angelic as the Queen spoke of. There were always bad apples in every orchard. The Feys weren't excluded of such. The hall remained somewhat silent, save for the murmurs and whispers among guards and servants of the revelation. Whether they agreed or not was hidden, for the Queen's word was law, and that was final for everyone who lived in this land. Helios couldn't help but to look up at the Queen with worried eyes, even as she had dismissed the matter and had decided that the humans would be sent away and everything would continue as it was. "Is there really nothing you can do about the barrier, my Queen?" Helios spoke, looking almost lost. He didn't know what to think. He was a survivor. He adapted and transformed into what he could to learn and survive to the environments given to him when he could. Before the mess with Alderon he would have given off the clothes from his back to you if you asked, and even now for these humans and friends he would over and over again. He loved the Overworld, his one and only home. Yet in the time below he had met so many people, seen so much, a brand new beautiful world...that was simply struggling to survive. "You cannot truly believe that all Feys are fully good my Queen. Even a race such as us have flaws. It is something that cannot be rooted out with magic or science. We broke the law when we went to the world below but...we met so many wonderful people, families and cultures with beauty of their own. When you back an animal against the wall, they are forced to fight back with whatever they can. The world is dying and there is nothing they can do..." Helios frowned at the Queen. The Queen was only one person, and even when he wanted to think of her as the answer to everything, there was only so much she could do. And he. He couldn't do a damn thing either. He could wish that he could transform into the mightiest of creatures and fix everything...but he was only a kid that had gotten way over his head, and now he was stuck between staying loyal to his world, and trying to stand up for the other one he had risked everything to explore. His mother once called him a friend of all living things, too trusting. Maybe it was this that had led him to this after all this time, whether he wished to admit it or not. Helios stepped closer to the Queen, stopping just in front of her as he looked up to her. "...is there really...nothing we can do but to send them back to a dying world?" -Arthur - Raiden's Villa - Breakfast- Arthur felt a surge of pride as Curvis agreed that it would make a good present for Visco. It only assured him that Visco would like the gift too. Visco was...truly a wonderful person. He had never been able to meet her, or even lay eyes on her until after whatever had afflicted her had happened, and yet such appearances were nothing compared to her bright and kind personality. The first time he saw her smile, and heard her laughter, he swore his heart had skipped a few beats. The more he spent on serving under her and her father, the more he found to love about her. Whether the King would accept such or not did not bother him as it should have. Whether the King would allow it or not...this love-struck fool wouldn't be able to stop loving her. She had stolen his heart, and he was more than happy to let her have it. Arthur ate some fried eggs. He didn't know what creature they were from, but they were oddly colored, and tasted sweeter than the regular chicken eggs. If there was one thing he would regret, it would be to not be able to bring back some of this food back...everyone in their party knew their world desperately needed it. Arthur listened to Curvis before looking back at Midnea. "Maybe? I mean, would she talk to us?" Arthur asked back as he ate some bread. Midnea was...rather reclusive, her attention usually solely for the King. But maybe they could cheer her up a little? They were all on the same boat regardless, all part of the same court and kingdom. "How about we invite her over then? Nothing bad with that." Arthur said cheerfully as he stood up and walked over to Midnea, walking up to where she sat. "Hey, Lady Midnea. I saw you were kind of lonely back here. I thought you would like some company!" Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted April 24, 2017 (edited) - Henry - The Dreadnaught - Dealing with Bigotry - Henry actualy smiled as Shiva retorted with the usual 'you are in no position to demand anything'. In fact the smile turned into a small grin for a moment as Shiva's hatred could be felt just by listening to her words. "Denying it just gives you a bad image you know." Henry retorted sarcasticaly. Acting all high and mighty is fine, but one should always honor their bargains, but it seemed like Shiva had no intention to do anything. Then came in someone he didn't know, an elf, if pointy ears meant elf he surely fit the bill anyway. Who demanded the Queen speak up about the issue he requested. This caused Henry to smile a bit and nod towards Yevgeni, Silently thanking him before turning back to the Queen. However Henry's normaly smug face and demeanor dropped as she nonchalantly spoke ill of the humans, without considering that the Feys also had part in it too. The Atmosphere around Henry also changed...it seemed to increase in intensity as he clenched his fists. His eyes changing color for a second...to aa distinct Dark purple color. 'Bullshit' Henry thought. 'What did you expect?' Ariana responded. 'A Fair ruler' Henry 'You're a funny man' Ariana replied. 'Just from that exchange you should have gotten what you needed about her' 'Suffering for the sins of our ancestors...it never changes' Henry finished. The aura quickly subsided as his eyes returned to their normal color as he calmed down. Calming himself in time to intervene with Helios's speech towards Shiva. Motioning Helios to stop with an open palm gesture. "Helios, im sure there is something you and your people can do. You have the power to change into a multitude of animals for example." Henry spoke, his usualy calm and sarcastic tone gone, now fully serious. "She doesn't do anything about it because she doesn't want to, deciding to wallow in the past actions of the minority and trying to justify the death of millions of innocent people" Henry spoke, loud and plainly so the entire hall could hear, frankly, he knew this was useless and nobody would side with him, on the contratry it would probably get him attacked. He stepped up towards the queen one last time, except stepping further a few more times, as a guard quickly rushed in to stop him, Henry literaly extended his right arm and pushed him before he could do anything. this caused the guard to be sent flying at least seven meters as he slid accross the ground. "We both don't have time for this. So I leave with this statement: Who are you to play god, and decide who lives and who dies, who are you to wallow in the past and justify the death of millions because you are too ignorant about the current state of humanity?" Henry spoke. Not breaking his voice, not sounding angry or bitter. Right afterwards after the hall fell silent and no response was quickly given. Henry simply shook his head in disgust. He couldn't take this anymore. As he simply turned around a quickly began to walk off the scene. Turning his head to Helios as he walked off, he stopped as he frowned. "Its useless...She doesn't do anything about humanity because she doesn't want to. Because im sure there is a way." Henry spoke, putting his hands on Helios's shoulder. "This is your chance at life again...don't waste it." Henry spoke, his voice sounding rather sad now. Henry then turned to Jynn, whom the queen spoke rather fondly with. "Whenever you decided to 'escort'. I'l be at the courtyard, soon as I find my way there...don't worry. Im no bloodthirsty, won't start a fight" Henry spoke as he walked off, leaving the room through the large doors and simply wandering. Completely ignoring any rules Shiva put up about him and the rest about where they could walk to and whatnot. 'Now what will you do?' Ariana spoke to him. 'Hell if I know...maybe that elf could prove useful' Henry replied to her mentally. 'You mean Yevgeni?' Ariana replied 'So thats his name...yeah him.' 'Hmm.' 'Problem is he'd need to approach me first. Because 'Because I think im inches away from execution' 'The executioner's axe would break' 'If I don't break him in half first, that is. Im not letting this happen.' - Alastor - The Storm - Fight's over - Alastor was not exactly surprised at the Doom hound's death, but rather disappointed, he wanted to fight some more but he'd fire it'd be impossible. Not that it mattered, it was dead now and ash. Simply gesturing at Dawson as the kitty warrior made his leave Alastor turned to the matters at hand, The infiltrator, whom Alastor did not know the name of still, was now interrogating Rabiyu. Stepping in between them. As he eyed both of them through his helmet. Before staring at Rabyiu for a second. "She speaks the truth...I told her about Midnea, the entire Overworld is against her and well...the more who knows of her return the better. As for the human matter..." Alastor spoke, this did add up, maybe these humans she spoke off were the ones who acted out the heist to steal Raiden's vault. "I can see detect lies when I hear them. But there is truth in her voice...what leaves me intrigued was...what humans did she see, the humans whom reside with Raiden were not allowed to wanter the villa. But she encountered some." Alastor spoke. "Maybe they were the ones who orchestrated the theft of the Vault." Alastor quickly deducted. "Rabiyu. I ask that you explain the matters of these humans further" Alastor asked her without delay. Elrandir 783 Posted April 24, 2017 (edited) - Aeternum Siblings - Kilkes Seres Castle -Things were quickly going in dangerous ways when Henry answered the Queen, this was new to the siblings, new and strange."Henry I think you need to calm down," Aura said, "we do not want to cause troubles."This fell on deaf ears since Henry continued without wasting time on her words. That is until he left, and Aura sighed."This is not going to end well," she said, "not in the least."Aurion agreed with her sister. Henry was angry by the Queen's attitude, he was too, but nothing good would come if he actually confronted the Queen."Listen buddy," Aurion said to Helios, "do not worry about us. This is your chance for a new life, you better use it."Both Aura and Aurion made a small bow to the Queen before looking at the Prince."We are going to follow our friend, if you do not mind," Aura said calmly, "Whenever is time to leave, please, come and tell us."The Siblings then quickly follwed after Henry.- Rabiyu - Front Gates of Mystras -"Is that all?" Rabiyu asked Alastor, "I suppose I can explain."Rabiyu quickly made some mental notes about what happened the previous night, those humans were interested in Yevgeni, they actually confused him with the Prince. Sadly, she shunned most of the conversation, it really wasn't important to her and was more for Yevgeni's amusement, what she did heard was something about a dagger in the vaults."I regret to say that I do not fully remember the whole situation with the trio, Master Alastor," she said without hesitation, "I was distracted for most of the time they were in the Flowering Hyssop Bar, but I can say that there were interested in one of my companions,"This was the truth, although she did asked Yevgeni the purpose of the weapon he spoke about, the other elf was unable to offer an explanation, thanks to Baxter's intervention."I do remember something about a particular weapon, I suppose it was a rather valuable weapon, but sadly I did not listened," Rabiyu said while biting her thumb, "I was more interested in the fact that there was humans in the overworld, which meant that the rumors about Lord Raiden were apparently true."Whatever Yevgeni's plan was, she was not part of it. It was pointless to wonder now, since Yevgeni was no longer there."And that is all I know about them and about that particular topic. If you wish to learn more, then perhaps, you could search for my companion who spoke with them."she said to Alastor, "If you can find him, of course. He left last night and I do not know about his current whereabouts, maybe he is not in the city anymore. Edited April 24, 2017 by Elrandir
Saber Lily 1,543 Posted April 24, 2017 -Eclaire, Throne Room of Kilkis Seres- Eclaire stood back, watching the entire proceedings. The arguments of Helios, the disrespect of Henry. The steadfast position of Shiva. She watched the humans start to file out, before stepping down to Shiva's level. She had gotten here on heart and merit. Might as well put it to use. "There is never a 'perfect' choice Helios. You cannot save everyone. That is the fact of life you should now understand well." She didn't really pull punches or sweet talk. "Tell me, Helios. If you had the choice between terrible war or terrible peace, which would you choose? Because there is no third option. This isn't choosing your meal, this isn't a choice of shirt. There will not be a third option every time." She grew...cold herself. "When I was exiled from Mare Luxuria, it was my second choice. Exile...or death. My own mother could do nothing but offer exile, or death. So your friends can claim we play god, but if we never made that barrier, what would this world look now? How would the human's own world look?" She demanded...then softened. "I spoke up for you and the humans because I understand mistakes. You made a mistake. I am a mistake. I am an unholy union displaced from either place I may call home because two beings chosen love over duty." She growled. "My mothers lost credibility, they lost their thrones and their people. So tell me. If the Queen chose to forgive and lift the barrier, do you think everyone else would clamor to see this beautiful world? Do you sincerely believe that every Fey would be happy to see humanity again? No, you are not that naive. Just as humanity would react violently to those it does not understand in the end, neither will fey who may even have been alive when the barrier was erected see them as friend." She turned and headed back up the steps. "The barrier dooms their world. But would lowering it ensure both worlds survive? Or ensure both die together?" She fell silent as she turned. Then bowed. "I apologize for speaking out of turn, my Queen."
Stardustblade358 806 Posted April 24, 2017 -Helios - Diplomatic Showdown - Aura, Aurion, Gel(?), Henry, Queen Shiva, Prince Jynn, Eclaire, and Yev- Helios listened to everyone, including Eclaire, who made her opinion known before apologizing to the Queen. He didn't want to face it, didn't want to admit it...but reality was something that would catch on no matter what, and his eyes finally opened to the realization of the whole thing. To look outside of his body and eyes. He was used to shifting, transforming and integrating into groups of creatures of all kind. That talking was usually the solution to almost everything. But not this time. He couldn't help. He couldn't fix it. He couldn't transform and talk it down. Nor could whole worlds simply blend together without any trouble. And he had gotten way over his head. This was his chance of a new life, something that would most likely never happen again. Not to mention that if people reacted the way they did to one Fey, how would they react to a whole world of them? Not everyone in the world below was Henry or the siblings, and not everyone up here was Eclaire and the prince. "... You're right. I apologize." Helios said, lowering his sight to the floor and allowing his head to bow. "I will not waste the chance given to me. I'll serve and prove that it was not the wrong decision, your highness." Helios said, deciding to push everything else to the back of his mind. As terrible as he felt... there was nothing he could do, and darn it, he would accept it this time. Because in the end of the day, he would prefer for the people below to die in relative peace than in the midst of a war. Anything but than war. "Thank you." Helios added, for keeping him from once again jumping into a pit he would not be able to get out of. He turned to the Queen again, taking a step back. "I await your orders."
