Elrandir 783 Posted February 14, 2017 Rabiyu - City of Mystras - Alleyways "That is enough Milord," Rabiyu said to Yevgeni, "It is quite obvious that the child do not know what he is saying."Rabiyu listened as Yevgeni spoke about the late King Alexander. Quite a formidable fey he was, he had the respect of both King Asura and Queen Leviathan, even after his death. That only spoke about the worth of such a fey."So, I am a greedy person, you say?" Rabiyu asked, trying not to laugh, " As the humble merchant that I am, yes, I do have the necessity to get my hands on gold, it is in my very nature. There is nothing else I can do about it. I do have a wishing lamp to get all the gold I need in my greedy hands after all. I could wish for anything I wanted and you can do nothing to stop it."She wanted to say that with enough sarcasm for the other fey to notice, instead she said it like she meant it, if he saw her like that, so be it. How far that was from the truth, however. She was, perhaps, one of the more important figures in the Northern Continent, that of one of the Judges in charge of protecting the continent. It was not important if this clown knew that, of course. Besides, the Tide Mother asked her to keep her connection with Caligo Royalty to a minimum, and she was doing just as ordered. Yevgeni had left a few minutes ago, and Rabiyu was thinking about doing the same. There was no real reason to stay anymore."My allegiance lies not with the Ice Queen, for she is no queen of mine. " she said calmly, "I offered my help and got attacked in return, I think it is time for me to take my leave."The High Elf turned to look at the other woman and bowed slightly. "Alicia, it was a pleasure to meet you, May our paths cross again in the future, if the stars allow it." Rabiyu said before whispering to Alicia, "Something is coming. Something dangerous and with the stench of death. Watch your back at all times while you remain in the city, and take care."With those last words Rabiyu, the Lady of the Mist, left the Flowering Hyssop Bar. She went to the alleyways, perhaps she could reunite and keep traveling with Yevgeni, if he allowed it, or she could look for the source of that uneasiness that she was feeling. Whichever came first. Stardustblade358 806 Posted February 14, 2017 -Arthur - Lord Raiden's Villa - At the feast- Arthur's eyes landed on the beautiful flowers that rested on the dining table. Amaranth, the undying flower. Arthur stood up slightly, leaning in and picking one out from the vase to take a closer look. Its petals a brilliant red that could even surpass the color of a noble's rubies. "Undying." Arthur breathed in awe. To think that a flower so...amazing could even exist. The closest he could think that could be similar was the Shameplant, who would close up at touch and then open back up. But no. That wouldn't even compare. To be so common as to be used as decorations. If a flower like this were found below it would be safeguarded for centuries in the most secrets of libraries, and yet here this one was. So freely, and so common. A common immortal flower. That's a thought. Arthur turned to Raiden, smiling as he restrained himself from outright hugging him. "Thank you so much, Lord Raiden!" Arthur said. He picked up a few (and by few of course I mean half the flowers in the vase) more from the vase, creating a small bouquet of 15 flowers exactly. He knew exactly where to keep them safe, too. He stood up, once again bowing to lord Raiden. "Thank you so much once again, Lord Raiden. For the flowers, and for the feast, and for receiving us." Arthur said as he couldn't keep his eyes off the flowers in his hands. "I'll retreat to my room now. After such a feast, I'll be sleeping like a log! I'll find a safe keeping for the flowers too. Good afternoon, my lord." Arthur said, bowing slightly before retiring to his given room, flowers in arms almost cradled like a child. He managed to remember the path to his given room. He removed his shield from his back and settled his sword on the bed before gently removing the envelope containing Visco's letter from its safeguarded place around his chest. He opened the envelope, and every so gently bent the flowers, mindful of the buds, and settled them inside the envelope with the letter before getting it back to the pocket on his chest plate. There. Now he was bound to never lose them. He moved forward to his messenger style bag, opening it up to take out his journal, pages old and filled with all kinds of notes, including sketches of fighting techniques he reminded himself to practice in his free time. He was quick to find a quill and ink while rummaging in the table's drawers. But before anything else he went ahead and opened one of the windows, welcoming the sunlight of the setting sun and the breeze into the room. Satisfied, he sat down and began to write. -Morana - Mystras Mountain Range - Jimba's fight- As expected from what they had seen from the fight so far, Jimba refused to chill to any extent, and instead continued his rage across anyone and anything that got in the way between him and his death wish against the Cyph. She would have made another comment on it, but then Jimba decided to surprise them again, by literally picking up a giant chunk of earth and throwing it into the sky before shattering it into pieces, sending smaller yet deadly chunks of rock all over. If any of them landed on their heads, it would be lights out for a long time, if not forever. Morana used her bone tail to smack the smaller rocks away from her and Rufus' heads, physically dodging those few who were a bit too big to simply swat away. "He's lost his mind." Morana huffed. If it wasn't a sure thing before, it was certain now. Jimba was insane. The only thing that could seem to satisfy his rage would be blood, and she didn't like the sound of that at all. Saber Lily 1,543 Posted February 14, 2017 -Eclaire, with Shive: Kilkis Seres- She breathed. Okay. Taking a few breaths, focusing, she rested a hand on Shiva's right shoulder and gently cupped the Queen's cheek with her other hand. She leaned forward and pressed her lips to Shiva's...and the Queen would feel as if a part of her was flowing into Eclaire. The kiss lasted for three seconds, and Eclaire pulled away. She gulped a bit and didn't move, still touching her. "Succubus feed off the lifeforce of others. What I have taken in three seconds...just three seconds. An ember of your very life. If you believe you are not going to return, then I shall always carry your very life with me. Three seconds is miniscule...enough your soul will easily replace it within a few days. You will have lost nothing, but gained my promise. I now walk forth with your very legacy, Shiva. I will not let it fail." She let go and pulled away. "...I will not let your trust in me fail. I swear." Eclaire stayed on a knee, looking up at her Queen. "What will you have me do first?"
Endless Thundaga 533 Posted February 14, 2017 (edited) Jynn Venas and Bherna Lao-Forest near Mystras Jynn listens to all of Jimba's threats before adding his thoughts. He points his sword at Jimba. "You are a punisher. You have no higher purpose than that. I on the other hand, am the Queen's son and the heir to the Overworld. So technically speaking, I DO in fact, to a certain degree, have authority over you. And my mother already knows of my thoughts about Cyph." Jimba then threatens Jynn about being punished, which Jynn was unafraid of. "Hmph. Like you haven't broken any rules. You're preforming treason by attempting to end my life." He waits a few moments before he realizes that talking won't work. "Fine, punish me............." He then smirks at the punisher. "........... IF you can." Immediately after being tormented, Jimba raises the ground below Jynn, Bherna, and Typhon, which Jynn did not budge. He then looks to his daughter and Typhon. I need to keep them out of harm's way. Jynn raises his palm at Bherna and Typhon and creates protective barriers around them. He then lifts them and pushes them off the elevated ground with a weak shockwave. He then jumps off the platform before it crumbles into large rocks. He then kicks off of a few trees. Slashing at a few small rocks falling towards him. He then lands behind Jimba again and slams his sword on the ground, creating a powerful shockwave, aiming towards the punisher. Meanwhile, Bherna lands a bit away from the rain of large rocks. The barrier squeaks as smaller bits of rock fall onto it. The barrier then dissolves, and Bherna quickly runs to Elia and Morana. She creates an electric shield to protect herself. Stardustblade358 806 Posted February 15, 2017 -Helios - Outside of Isopolis Shrine about to crash the Shiva/Eclaire party - Aura, Aurion, Gel, and Henry- Helios chuckled at Aura. "You can't deny that flying is definitely the ultimate way of traveling. It's quick, and fun too...I think you'll get more comfortable the more you fly." Helios hummed, nudging slightly at Gel too. "The same goes for you." Helios said, kneeling down and allowing them to get on his back. "I already did a whole lot to get in trouble as it is. I might as well keep going while there's not much else to lose." Helios said as he stood on his feet. "If the Queen's going to hate anyone...it's by all means going to be me, for sure." Helios said, stretching his wings as he looked around. He knew this world like the palm of his hand. Well, currently, like the palm of his paw. Since he could first shapeshift he had wondered all over the Overworld, from city to city, town to town. By the time he left to the world below, he might as well had been good enough to make a map from the air, and he still had much to explore if he was allowed to. "Alright passengers welcome to the Overworld Manticore express! Our destination is the palace of Kilkes Seres. Hold on tight now!" Helios said cheerfully, even as they planned to fly right into the queen's castle with no invitation. He ran across the grass before gaining the wind underneath his wings and taking off into the air once more. The weather was nice enough, and it didn't take that long before they could see the capital. It was as gorgeous as he remembered, the large castle standing right in the middle of it. Even as he flew over the city it did not bring as much attention as it did in the world below. The Overworld was full of all kinds of creatures. Can't be panicking over every single one. "There's the castle. You guys ready?" Helios asked. Of course, even if they said no, he was going in anyways. He flew around the castle for a bit, eyeing for a chance. The doors were closed, and all windows were too small to fit a Manticore and passengers. Except well...the very nice looking, circular stained glass window in the main hall. "Um...you might want to lower your heads." Helios suggested, prepping as he proceeded to dive and fly straight to the window. Just moments before impact, he extended his scorpion tail, using it to stab the window in front of him and shattering it as he flew right in. Glass shattered, flying past him and his passengers to the floor below. If anything, just a few cuts as he flew right in. Of course, if the crash alone didn't caught the attention of the Queen, the screaming guards definitely would. Helios landed on the marble floor below, looking around him as the stunned guards quickly surrounded them, weapons pointed and ready to attack upon order. He used his wings to serve as partial shields for his friends as he glanced around. "I must speak with Queen Shiva!!!" He insisted, glaring at the guards around him. "I have information from the world below!!!"
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted February 16, 2017 - Typhon and Mikhail - Raid Boss Jimba - Typhon was getting tired of this, Jimba wouldn't budge no matter the hit the man took, not only that but the wendigo woman was right, if this fight continued it'd spell the doom for the entire forest. He knew this, but if he turned himself in he doubted Jimba would let everyone else go. He had no choice. With the arrival of Jynn Typhon looked surprised at Queen Shiva's son. Just who he was looking for, in fact. The key to getting to Shiva, Jynn seemed equaly surprised seeing Typhon, but they didn't have time to even speak with one another as Jimba raised the ground below him, Jynn and Bherna. Typhon was worried more about the little kid than himself. But thankfuly as they were plummeting down Jynn was kind enough to cast a spell at him and her to protect both. The girl fell safely without problems from the rubble, Typhon knew he wouldn't be able to cut down or protect himself from everything, so he did the most logical thing, avoided it altogether by firing his arm blade on a close by tree as he fell and grabbing it mid-fall, his body recoiling from the impact, but the pain was gone in an instant, pherhaps due to the adrenaline. Quickly dropping down as another arm blade erupted from the arm he had fired his previous one. Thankfully these things were quick to generate. "What now?" Typhon asked everyone. At odds about what to do, Mikhail let out a sly smile for a second before speaking up. "Give me a boost, Bug Man, I have an idea." Mikhail. Holding a strange looking bomb on his hands. Typhon simply nodded and ran forward with Mikhail closely behind. Typhon turning around and putting his hands down as Mikhail stepped on them as he threw the witcher towards Jimba at high speeds. Mikhail held out his steel sword as he faked a slash at Jimba mid-air, but quickly feinted the attack as he revealed his bomb. Dimeritium bomb, a bomb especificaly designed to disable magial beings, every part of Jimba that was magic, be them magical powers, physical enhancements, anything and everything would be disabled for a short period of time with this bomb. And considering Jimba was already getting attacked by Jynn and Ellia, his chances of dodging were slim. Quickly throwing the bomb as he flew past Jimba, the bomb going straight towards the giant, going to explode on contact with the punisher. He'd feel his very magical essence being sapped for some times. "NOW!" Mikhail shouted the others as he landed on his feet, with one knee. He casted igni in a constant firestream. As Typhon quickly wasted no time and began to fire armblades at Jimba at high speeds, each of them tipped in acid. - Henry - Renegade in a New Land - Henry had finally met someone else that survived Alderon's experiments, and this guy wasn't trying to kill him! What were the odds? Henry nodded with a respectful smile at Gel before turning to face Helios and the griffin's...rather reckless plan. Henry simply sighed and nodded at Helios, frankly insane and reckless plan, but hey, these types of plans were usualy the ones that worked the best in the end, as nobody expected. Like a left hook, nobody ever expects a left hook to the face. "As much as I like flying, I have my doubts at flying straight to a cast-" Before Henry could speak his mind Aura and her brother were already on top of Helios as the griffin readied himself for flight. "Well alright then..." Henry spoke in a deadpan tone as he climbed aboard too. Looking over the landscape as they flew up high, it was truly gorgeous. but most notably...so full of life...so...pure. 'You don't think...The Overworld is responsible for the world below's condition...do you?' Henry thought to himself curious. before snapping back to reality. "Oh yeah come to think of it, Aura, Aurion. I promised you both something before I got you two to help me." Henry spoke, "This is the best time as any. Aura, take it." Henry spoke, handing Aura his longsword, yes, his longsword. He'd do fire without it, he wouldn't be able to swing it much because of his skin crawling and itching the way it was anyway. "Should be the perfect sword for you, not too heavy, nor light, and more range and power than your current one" Henry commente dwit ha smile. As he looked at Aurion. It pained him to give his sword away to Aura, but the girl deserved it, helping him out when no one else could. She and her brother were very important in getting to the overworld. He owed them. "Im gonna have to think of something to give you Aurion, i'l handle that later." Henry spoke before turning his attention to the matter at hand. They flew at high speeds, Henry, being the daredevil and wannabe badass that he was, jumped forward before Helios broke the window, smashing through it right beside him as he landed with a roll at the end, finishing right beside Helios and the Siblings...Oh, and Gel. As he landed the ground visibly crashed and smashed under him. "That felt...very good." Henry commented about that action, as the guards were no doubtly coming. - Maxis And Henry - The Living Armor and the Dread Knight- INTRUUUUDEEEEER - Maxis was still speaking with Ivany, the only woman aside from Shiva that he truly, trusted...hell if he was a man again he'd totally pursue a relationship with her, but alas, he doubted living armor and a fey would work. That was before he heard a loud crash from a window, and a rough landing. "What the firetruck?!" As Maxis spoke he literaly disappeared into thin air. Ivany startled at Maxis's sudden disappearance. Soon enough Helios, Aura, Aurion, Gel (If he came along) and Henry would see Maxis literaly materializing from a pool of pure darkness. As his body slowly rose up from the pool, into his full living armor splendor. Maxis looked at the individuals, and a Griffin. For a few seconds. "..." Maxis spoke, his aura getting erratic for a second, as he was angered but controled himself, only to burst out again. "That...was a nice firetrucking window" Maxis commented pointing at the now broken one. "Whatever you wish to speak to the queen, you'l speak to me...now spit." Maxis spoke, his tone of voice sounding very intimidating, instigating fear into everyone around him. Except for Henry, who was unamused, who had simply folded his arms and frowned. "Sorry...This is for Shiva's ears only" Henry retorted back to Maxis, who flinched at the mere notion of getting talked back to...impressed actualy. A clone of Maxis began to form behind Henry, with a knife at his throat. "Tough guy huh?" The second Maxis spoke, as a third materialized beside Helios's head, holding down a great axe at it. "I love griffins...their fur is the best" The Third maxis sadisticaly spoke to Helios. Henry was still not impressed, acting quickly and elbowing the Second Maxis and grabbing his arm, disarming him as he quickly threw the dagger at the third Maxis's head with good accuracy, he aimed for the forehead...it hit the nose area. Darn. Both Maxis fell onto the ground and dematerialized. "Well firetruck." The original Maxis spoke. As the guards has soon arrived at the scene. "State your business intruder!" One of the guards holding out a medium sized longsword, which took Henry's interest for a second. Before he went on to answer the man. "I said this before and I won't say it again. Queen's.Ears.Only" Henry retorted now with an angry tone. This was one helluva mexican standoff now.
Vaude 536 Posted February 18, 2017 (edited) - Rufus Contralto, in the mountains near Mystras pitted against Jimba with practically everybody in the vicinity - Rufus fought and fought hard as he strained his concentration on the behemoth in front of this strange entourage. The man not only had impressive physical prowess, but great magical prowess as well. Nevertheless, Rufus had abundant stamina of his own, gained through hundreds of years of biding, and he was not going to lose to a muscle-bound lout, not when he finally had a chance to perform one of his life-long dreams: to be of assistance. The rockfall was a minor issue for him with his intangibility. However, his concentration slipped upon the lifting of forest ground over Jimba's head without any aid of earth magic, or what seemed like lack of earth magic. What crazy strength was in this guy's muscles to make him more powerful than any giant, stripping either a dirt sheet from the ground complete with roots or rocky terrain of no small amount of weight? Even anti-gravity and lightening magics could not perform this, or so he assumed. Again, it was difficult to say as to whether or not he actually came from someplace else. Thankfully, everyone seemed to survive being crushed, and Morana swung her skeletal tail in Rufus' defense, for which he was grateful. Flashing a thankful grin at her -- however that looks -- he soared into the sky just above Jimba's head like last time and performed something akin to a dance, full of tight rotations and wide leaps. "One, two, three, four, you're the ugly on the floor." Wiggle, wiggle. "Five, six, seven, eight, you will never get a date." Pout, pose. "Nine, ten, eleven, twelve, someone club him with a helve while I cancel every lap of magic in his aggravating body!" With that awkward rhyme, the potency of his cancellation magics increased profoundly. Jimba would have a hard time even summoning the will to break out of the magic, or at least that's what he hoped. Furthermore, perhaps he again arrested the Punisher's attention with his annoying diatribe. Pinned with slowness, silenced by arcane magic, disabled via bomb, and sledged in the back by a down-strike shockwave of a blade, and arrows in whatever direction -- Jimba would most probably not last long in such duress, and Rufus hoped it would end within a minute. - Raleigh Marin and Lord Raiden in Raiden's Villa - The female assassin emitted a look of surprise as she listened to Curvis' tale and desires. Perhaps she should not have been surprised. It was a sad but common story where the tragic death of a father or mother would rattle a family from the bottom up, but this was the first time she was empathetic with someone who came from such a background. She looked down at her food in hesitation and picked up her fork, a small chunk of fowl still skewered on it. "A Sourati doctor, huh? A good dream, that, one worth protecting in the upcoming days and one I aim to witness, if neither of us die first. I'm sure your family would be exceptionally proud if you become your own person and help them through their troubles." I'm one to talk, thought Raleigh to herself, lowering her fork to her plate absent-mindedly. There's nothing my family would be proud of if they saw me now, if I even have family anymore. "I will take my leave now, Curvis," she stated, rising to her feet and looking at him with a somber smile. "Please enjoy the meal. It is delightful. Milord Raiden, is it?" Raiden looked up from his food on the other side of the table, patting his mouth ceremoniously with a napkin before speaking. He was quite happy with Arthur's response earlier to taking as many flowers as he liked, and still smiling over the thought of making that young man's day brighter. "Indeed it is, red-cloaked mistress. Does something trouble you?" he asked good-naturedly. "Are the gardens open for us for the night? I find a walk most agreeable to me." Raiden looked stupefied by the girl's question. Just where did she pack all of that food down in that scrawny body of hers, and why would she want to walk after engorging herself that much? Nevertheless, he smiled and spoke, "That is an open possibility for you and for any others. However, I request that you do not attempt to leave the premises, and that you take an escort." A request, huh? Most likely an order, she internalised, but she gave her thanks and headed off towards the main entrance of the villa. Raiden signalled a guard to follow, and the two exited in the direction of the walkway surrounded by citrus trees. "That is my cue as well," Raiden stated, also rising, yawning, and stretching his arms wide. "If anyone wants to find me for further discussion, I will be in my study." His eyes flicked up to the upper wall, finding a faintest tell of movement, and headed off to where he designated. -- -- -- "The feast and mingling went better than expected," said the Infiltrator inside the study, resting in one of the armchairs. On his face resided a grinning, snaggle-toothed mask that had seen better days, the same one that was worn when he broke into Isopolis. "Indeed it was," said Raiden in the other armchair, looking into the fireplace. "You look pale. Did something happen to Shiva? I saw her owl from my roost." "She is fine at the moment, but I will be frank: there is great potential for issues." "Let me see the letter." Raiden surrendered the letter in a smooth motion, raiding it from his pocket and handing it to his companion. The Infiltrator's eyes fluttered through the slits of the mask as he read the letter. "This . . . does have potential for issues. Do you think it is a trap? I doubt it, personally. It seems she really wants to talk, especially if she wants there to be the meeting place." "That is what I think as well, but that goes without saying," Raiden responded. The slightest of grins made itself visible and disappeared as soon as it hit air. "I must ask the following: do you want to flip for it or have you a decision made for the both of us?" "I will be frank," asserted the Infiltrator, pulling off his ceramic mask and setting it on the table. Now there were two Raidens, one in purple and one in blue, each looking at the other. The one on the left, in royal splendour, showed interest. The one on the right, in spy's garb, showed a knowing grin. "It," continued the Infiltrator, "has been longer for you to meet her than it has me. You go." "Then we share the same wish," voiced the other, folding his hands on his lap. "I thank you." "Just tell me all about it when you get back. Every little detail." "With certainty. Every little detail." ((Edit: small grammatical issues and added sentences here and there. The gist remains the same.)) Edited February 18, 2017 by Vaude 1 Nero Kunivas reacted to this

Arya Stark 1,337 Posted February 27, 2017 Neena ~ The Zealot ~ Mystras; Raiden's Villa - Feast of Fools Neena, disguised as she was, giggled contentedly at Soren's words. "No good at all." She agreed with an affirmative nod. Neena herself hardly agreed. The world had been good for centuries. Would have continued to be. She thought of Helios and Ariana, and their choice to go down below. That had been the beginning of this all. Damn them! But... Still she mourned for their loss. He asked her her name, and Neena swiftly realized she had not come up with a name for her cover. "Alayne." She made up on the spot. She drilled it into her memory. Do not forget fake name. That would be bad. "And yes I am. Our Lord Raiden is very wise, and has served Mystras well for a very long time. My family traveled here from our ancestral home long ago, and were never gladder for it. He knows what is best for our world. If that is humans, then I will stand with him." She cursed the words as they came from her lips, but when one was playing a role, they play it whole-heartedly. The smile on her lips never faltered. "You are strong yes? Will you stand with Lord Raiden if things get... bloody?" She asked, tilting her head and raising an eyebrow to sell the curiosity. Cerberos ~ The Mercenaries ~ Mystras; Fountain Square It was getting late. But it was still early for when they needed to meet Yevgeni. Of course, they tried to aim to be early when they could. Better to be there already opposed to arriving late. Was bad for their rep if they arrived late. So just a few minutes after Yevgeni began to wait, a blur appeared in front of him, which then stood still. It was Ryonne. He exhaled, and his hand went to his pendant. So that was what it did. Made him... fast. Neat. He looked at Yevgeni and nodded, and his hand went to the inside of his cloak... The dagger was not there. He had given it to Swanson before activating the amulet. "It'll be just a moment." Ryonne said deferentially, glancing behind him to look out for his comrades. He caught sight of Viridem's flowing green hair, blowing in wind she created herself. She had discovered that the glaive she clutched in her hands could do that. Create gusts of wind, and she used them to fly in some ways, though her first attempts had been awkward at best. In any case she floated down, and though she stumbled upon touch down, she managed to catch herself. She gave a short mock salute towards Yevgeni, then turned with Ryonne. "Where did you leave him?" The Swordsman grumbled. "Somewhere up the hill, I don't know." She waved off the question. Ryonne glared at her and she glared back. "I'm not his babysitter!" She responded to his gaze. He looked away from her and back towards where he should be coming from. Finally, another few minutes later, Swanson came jogging around a corner, the massive dual bladed axe still on his chest. He finally made it to the group, hands on his knees, catching his breath. "My souvenir did not make me faster." He breathlessly explained to the other two. He glanced up towards Yevgeni and held up a finger. Just give me a second. He caught his breath, and then stood, pulling the dagger from his coat and offered it towards Yevgeni. "We got it for you." Gelabrous ~ The Farmer ~ Kilkes Seres; The Palace Gel had not been excited about flying again so suddenly, but went along. He'd come this far right, might as well just head the rest of the way? They crashed through a window, and Gel fell off Helios' back immediately. Bones crunched when he landed, and Gel grimaced, but lay still as his bones mended. He watched carefully, from the ground, hurting very badly though he would for only a few moments longer, as Maxis appeared, scary dude Gel noted, very very intimidating. Henry took down some clones or something, his view from the ground was not awesome. As guards covered all the entrances, Gel felt his bones finally knit back together fully, and he pushed himself up to his feet, moving towards the middle of the room. "Guys guys guys," He said, moving his hands downward. "We don't need to be all stabby stab right? We can talk this out right? I mean, yes, we'll have to do it with the queen, but talking is still involved. Talking not stabbing. Repeat after me." Gel said, trying to prevent a battle that while he would probably come out fine from, he didn't think it would feel very pleasant. 1 Nero Kunivas reacted to this

Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted February 28, 2017 --Queen Shiva -- Kilkis Seres-- The kiss from Eclaire did not last long. It felt awkward when Eclaire cupped her cheek and drew close, her very kiss leaving her to feel slightly dazed. She fought this feeling, however, though nothing could battle the fluttering from within her chest. Tenderly she returned the kiss, eyes carefully watching Eclaire as she spoke. Within only an hour she already had seen quite the amount of strength grow within Eclaire--she only hoped that it was something she could hold on to. "Thank you," she said softly, her words barely more than a whisper. "I know that Kilkis Seres is in great hands. It is reassuring to know, even slightly, that a small part of me will live on to see the dawn of a new era. I just wish that it didn't have to end this way." The ice queen braced a hand on Eclaire's upper arm as she rose, barely straightening her gown before fixating her gaze on the rose-haired woman once more. "My task for you is to ensure the well-being of my people. Our people. Listen to your heart, and you will be guided true. And please"--her tone held urgency, as did her grip on Eclaire's arm--"take care of my son. He still needs a mother. Not that I'm asking you to be his mother, but, well . . . could you try to be there for him, please?" Just then the sound of shattering glass interrupted their conversation, alongside the many screams of soldiers and servants in unison. Shiva froze and whirled around, her eyes narrowing in the direction of the palace. "Your first task," Shiva said simply. "Is to go see to that. I must take my leave." The ice queen offered Eclaire a kiss on the forehead. "Until we meet again, Eclaire." --Yevgeni Malachite -- Mystras Water Fountain -- The blond was surprised by the sudden appearance of Ryonne; were they fey after all? He then noticed the amulet that Ryonne had fidgeted with, causing a grin to spread upon his lips. To Yevgeni it almost seemed that Ryonne was slightly surprised, given the indifference in his voice. Yes, they were most assuredly human. He merely nodded to Ryonne, his posture and expression unchanged. "That is perfectly fine. I can wait." It amused him as the Cerberos trio made its appearance, one after the other, this time with Viridem appearing in the air and nearly stumbling upon descent. The two seemed concerned about something--or someone--and began to bicker to themselves upon the matter. Yevgeni pieced together that it was probably concerning his favorite Ceberos member: Swanson. For a moment he considered saying something to break the two of them up from their banter, but then thought against it. After all, it was quite fun to play the role of the innocent bystander who doesn't know what is going on. After some moments lapsed the third member of Cerberos appeared, seeming quite breathless after his jog. Probably from the axe, no doubt, Yev thought to himself, though said nothing as Swanson prepared his gift. Yev's eyes glittered dangerously at the sight of the dagger, his hand flying to a coin purse at his side. "I am very impressed," he managed. "And to think that you did all of this without so much as getting caught? You three certainly are skilled mercenaries. The realm will thank you for your efforts. What you've done will bring peace upon our nation." He extended the coin pouch toward Swanson, it being made from red velvet and gold itself. "Here is your payment: Nine-hundred and eighty-six gold pieces, as promised. Thank you again." He took the extended lightning dagger and examined it in the moonlight. It was smaller than he had expected, and nothing screamed significance about the artifact. Nonetheless he knew that it would do what he required of it. He placed it in his belt and extended his hand toward Swanson, before shaking hands with the rest of the group. "May our paths cross again one day." With that the false prince turned to leave, his crimson robe billowing behind him. --Elia Cabret -- Mountain Range-- Their attacks seemed to work in unison, as the raven-haired fairy had hoped. Jimba took a hearty blow from all that they'd dealt, but he still had enough wind in him to conjure up an earthquake, and a devastating one at that. The ground split underneath hers and the Prince's feet, allowing them to fall to the World Below or be demolished by the barrier, Elia didn't know which. Elia threw her arms around Jynn in an instant and strained, her wings flapping frantically upon her back. "Hang on!" she cried out between gritted teeth. Once she found a safe place to land she threw Jynn toward it with all her might, collapsing beside him due to the strain of lifting them both so suddenly. "We're not going to make it," Elia said sadly toward Jynn. "We need to chain our attacks together to bring him down, but there's no way that we can all communicate to do so. Orders, Your Highness?" --Everyth Castanova -- Effie's home-- The water, though cold, still felt so good, and Everyth was regretful when it was time for the shower to end. She returned to the home and put on a simple dress, throwing her damp hair over her shoulder as she glanced at Visco. "You will be all right here, Princess," Everyth reassured. "No one knows that you are here, and I promise you that I will return as quickly as I am able." She bowed low to Visco before straightening. "Besides, someone has to keep Effie out of trouble, don't you think?" With that the raven-haired woman departed, treading silently through the fields and en lieu of the palace. As she approached the gates she found many bodies littering the ground, her gaze darkening as she followed their trails of blood. "What a terrible waste," Everyth murmured under her breath, praying a silent prayer for the fallen. She then salvaged some armor that she found useful: a breastplate and gauntlets. She also found a sword that looked worthy of using in combat. It didn't look as sturdy as her own weapon, and she didn't think it would be able to retain and unleash spells as her own, but it would suffice for her needs, or at least for now. It was time to find Effie. The fighting had really decreased throughout the hours that the female trio had been away, and much damage had been done. Silence had fallen upon the castle, not by truce but of death. This was Everyth's least favorite factor of being a soldier. As the battle brewed between Pracia and Effie, the duke of Helvadoria stumbled forward. His golden hair was now disheveled, some blood stained on the sleeve of his shirt. "Ah, there you are at last, O' Lovely One," the duke declared toward Pracia, removing his hat and giving her a slight bow, as though flattery would win the Punisher over. "You see, you are the most powerful person here, and I like powerful individuals. What say you to partnering up to find the princess, hmm? I would promise you anything that my kingdom has to offer." "Move it!" cried Everyth, shoving the duke aside as she ran to Effie's side. "Are you alright, Effie? I came as fast as I could." -- Curvis Sourati -- Raiden's feast -- It caught Curvis by surprise that Raleigh was making her departure so sudden. Had it been something he'd said? Did they broach a sensitive topic? He felt bad, if so, but at least he'd been graced with an entire evening of her to himself. He nodded graciously toward the assassin. "The pleasure was mine, Lady Raleigh. Enjoy the cool evening air for me, please." Everyone seemed to be leaving the feast, with only a few stray individuals along with Soren and some servant exchanging dialogue. Nothing held his interest here anymore, not even the BBQ-chicken-that-was-not or the wine. He moved from his position at the table and tucked his chair back in. It was time that he retired for the night as well, especially since it was uncertain what would await them the following morning. 1 Nero Kunivas reacted to this
Stardustblade358 806 Posted March 1, 2017 -Helios - Main Hall of Kilkes Seres Castle - Aura, Aurion, Gel, and Henry + Maxis- Helios growled as Maxis spoke about skinning him for his fur. He would have barked back his opinion on that matter, but that was for another time. Who was this guy anyway, and what was up with that armor? Needless to say Henry and him got off to a great start. Then Gel stepped away from the relative safety of the group to try and keep them all from starting up a fight in the middle of the grand hall, to which they were greatly outnumbered anyways. Out-powered though? That could be debatable. Helios huffed, deciding to transform back to show his true self. White smoke covered him once more for a few moments as he morphed back into his Fey shape, stepping out of the smoke as the young man he was. He stepped a bit closer to Gel, and stared right at Maxis' eyes...if he had any underneath that armor, seeing that the inside looked so...dark. Empty. "My name is Helios. I am a Fey, and one of the three who left this world and ventured to the world below a year ago. Friend of Ren and...and Ariana." Helios spoke, his voice almost hushed when he spoke the last name, having forced himself to be loud enough to speak it. He hadn't said that name in a long, long time. She had passed a few months or so into the experiments. He didn't even know what happened to her body. He can only imagine what happened to Ren. "I've escaped the clutches of humanity below, and have come back with friends to warn the Queen of this evil that has reached the Overworld. Please let us speak to Queen, it's important." Helios spoke to Maxis, his eyes glaring still. If you were to compare to the same young man that had left the Overworld a year ago, you could speak endlessly of how different they are. Scars covering his body, bruises still on his wrists, and any light of innocence in his eyes long gone. "If you don't let us speak to the Queen, then tell us where she is and we'll find her ourselves." He hissed. -Morana - Mystras Mountain Range - Jimba's fight- Morana grasped the floor beneath as it rose up into the sky like pillars. For a moment she was relieved that she wasn't afraid of heights, but at the same time she was getting tired. This guy, even now with his magic cancelled up thanks to Rufus, would not back down. What would it take to take this one down, did he even have a weakness?! "Crap, Rufus watch out for that!" Morana yelled from where she stood. She looked around and didn't hesitate. She jumped down from her pillar, aiming at another one of the rising pillars and jumping off back from that one to another one, making her way down. She knew that his magic was down thanks to Rufus, they had only a single window of opportunity before that wore off. Morana had sharp bones emerge from underneath the skin on her forearms, pointing forward and sharpened up like daggers. She pushed herself off another pillar and allowed herself to fall, falling towards Jimba as she aimed at his neck, and as she fell and landed on him, she stabbed both of her bones right into him. Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted March 1, 2017 - Maxis and Henry - Royal Intrusion - Henry could only stare back at Maxis as the armor made empty threats and small hummings as Helios began speaking his own mind. Something Henry was impressed by. he didn't think Helios had it in him to admit who he was and the actions of his past friends so openly like that. Then again He'd guessed it was all or nothing in order to get Shiva to speak to them. "Correct. we have information abou-" Henry's statement was stopped by Maxis, who just by what Helios spoke, seeing as he was one of 'The three' who turned his Queen's life into a living hell. Boy did he have a bone to pick with them. Especially now that he could get a better look at Helios and...yep...it was him. For a second, One could spot a bright red flash of light within Maxis's helmet, almost like an eye. As he stood there motionless for a few seconds, before...some sort of katana materialized onto Maxis's hands. As he began walking. "You do know its either death or capture for you right?" Maxis spoke, his voice now low and menacing towards Helios as he kept a slow walk forward. THe Atmosphere suddenly turning grim, dark...and physicaly debilitating. Even the mystra's soldiers were feeling the oppressive feeling. "Im sure the queen will make an exception for Helios when we give her the information that we brought" Henry replied coldly. However getting ready to intercept anything Maxis would do. And Henry was right in steeling himself, for Maxis lunged at blinding speeds at Helios, Henry, or anyone else really could barely react to Maxis's attack as he went for a thrust at Helios. But thankfully Henry intercepted it with a dreadnaught charged arm-block... However...the sword pierced right through Henry's arm, through his rock armor, through his plate armor underneath it and through his reinforced skin. Much to Henry's dismay and Maxis's pleasure. Henry's expression was of pure shock and awe, as he kept Maxis at a standstill, Maxis was unable to press on and continue now that his blade was stuck in Henry's arm...and the fact Henry quickly Uppercutted Maxis in the stomach region. Maxis was flung a fair distance away from the uppercut, his katana was left lodged in Henry's right arm. As Maxis fell on the ground, simply getting himself back up and letting out a chuckle. "Nice reflexes...though I can't say the same for your arm." Maxis taunted Henry, as the latter simply grunted as he pulled the katana out of his arm, as blood began dripping from his wound. Normally his wounds would heal almost instantly, but this was one heck of a grevious one...it would take a bit of time...and blood loss to do so. "How the firetruck...three layers of protection...pierced like nothing?!" Henry questioned, shocked. but still on his feet, even though he was now clutching his now wounded arm. "Don't act surprised, I could cut it off entirely if I wanted." Maxis taunted. THe katana disappeared and reappeared on Maxis's hands, and then disappeared again, since that action was enough for Maxis to realise that maybe this bunch was worth something...though he was not yet fully convinced. "I can't let you speak to the queen and you know that" Maxis commented. - Alicia - The Grimoire mage - Dealing with Baxter - Alicia's expression was of constant frown of disappointment as not only had Jynn left her alone with them, but Yevgeni proved to have other plans, which diverged from the queen's, and Rabyiu had went off to do her own thing soon after. All Alicia could really do was sigh and accept the fact that they, like her, had no obligations with the queen, well...maybe Yevgeni. But still. ALicia dispelled the projectiles around Baxter and gave him a stern look. Eye to Eye. "Then go" Alicia spoke as she sat at one of the chairs in the counter. "If I end up knowing you didn't go...you know what will happen. Now just go." Alicia spoke, her tone serious, but with an underlying bit of...disappointment in it. She figured she'd wait a bit before moving out herself. At least for the moment that Baxter was around. - Mikhail and Typhon - Raid boss Jimba - Typhoon had to act quickly, as to not be flung up into the sky by Jimba's attack, which consisted of different types of attack for every member of the group, but to him, Bherna and Morana it was the same, Morana got away fairly without problems. Now Him and Bherna were another story. Typhon acted quickly, swiftly lunging to Bherna's pillar, and quickly grabbing the girl before the pillar could go further upwards. As they descended Typhon stopped his fall by stabbing his arms blade on a tree, they slid down while doing this from the impact and the tree was highly damage, almost cut clean in half by it. But they got away safely. Letting Bherna go as he positioned himself to assist the others. Mikhail had to deal with a cave in right bellow him and Aqua. Luckily he grabbed the newly created ledge quickly as everything crumbled bellow him. Too far away to help Aqua, he only hoped she could get out of the attack in time. Mikhail quickly pulled himself up and rolled to safety, as Ellia began hashing out battle plans. "He is severely weakened and his magic is mostly disabled, if there was any opportunity to strike together. Its NOW!" Typhon shouted at everyone with his insect-like hue in his voice. "I agree, we need to do a combination attack...anybody feel like starting it up?" Mikhail commented. - THe Black knights - Retaking Sondon - The battle was going rather well for the black knights and the Royal knights, the plan of pincing the Helvadorians from all sides was very effective, The Black knights were still without losses, only a few minor wounded. who were being treated by the vestals as the battle raged on. It was clear Helvadoria's forces were weakened from the prolonged fight with Sondon's army. But they were not expecting the Black knights to arrive so soon. Their numbers were dropping radically fast. And with no sight of their leader, the Helvadorians were disorganized and losing morale at an alarming rate as well. It wouldn't take long for the stragglers to surrender or die amidst the combat. Alex was now side by side with Ronan Leading the charge towards the Castle. "I must find princess Visco!" Alex spoke, as he had just slashed down a Helvadorian soldier. "You think she is in the castle?" Ronan asked as he backhanded one soldier, who quickly fell unconciouss, considering Ronan's size and strenght to wield that poleaxe of his, it was understantable. "No" Alex responded. "Can you hold out here while I go look for her?" Alex asked Ronan, who simply chuckled. "You'd go even if I told you not to. So go find her! If she is captured all of this will have been for nothing!" Ronan spoke. As Alex took his leave. It didn't take long, however for Alex to witness effie fighting off some sort of creature, while the Duke simply appeared, all screwed up as well. Not looking noble at all. And well...Everyth had appeared too! to help Effie nonetheless. "Effie! Everyth!" Alex spoke as he ran over to them, putting his black shield and blade between them and Pracia. "What the hell is going on here, what is that thing?" Alex asked as he clearly asked about Pracia and her claws. Before looking at the Duke. "Stop this madness at once Duke! your men are dead and defeated, stragglers are surrendering and there is not an ounce of Helvadorian army strenght left in Sondon. Surrender and you'l be treated with respect!" Alex tried to reason with the Duke. Probably a worthless effort. (Soon I'l post for Draksis).
Stardustblade358 806 Posted March 1, 2017 -Helios - Main Hall of Kilkes Seres Castle - Aura, Aurion, Gel, and Henry + Maxis- Helios couldn't react fast enough, not even getting a chance to answer Maxis' question. Hell, no one could possibly have reacted fast enough. But Henry reacted just in time, saving Helios from sudden death at the hands of Maxis. He had to admit, however, this was getting less bloody than he originally expected, and that was...good. Not perfect. But it was good. He knew the consequences of their actions were dire, but damn, they could worry about such consequences later, when crap was resolved. Ariana was dead, Ren's fate was unknown to him, and darn it, he had gotten these humans involved and had gone through a lot just to get up here. Over his dead body would he walk away from this without speaking to the queen, which seemed to be a possibility anyways. Helios turned to Henry, his arms instantly clasping at his wound as well for a moment. He eyed at Gel, hope in his eyes, that maybe Gel could help with his own given abilities. He then turned to Maxis. If he didn't convince this walking trashcan soon someone in here was going to end up losing an arm, a leg, or their lives. He let go of Henry, walking towards Maxis, unafraid even as he eyed the katana in Maxis' hands. "Listen to me." Helios spoke, his voice shaking, memories and words rushing through him. What could say? What could he do? He had dreamt of this moment for months over months and now that he was here his mouth felt dry and his throat tightened up. He extended his arms across. "Don't hurt them. I brought them here. I'm the one who has broken the rules, please, eyes on me." Helios insisted as he felt his arms shake. "I admit. We made a mistake. A terrible, terrible mistake. We were foolish, we were stupid, and damn, we might as well deserved what we got. I don't know what you did to Ren. Ariana is dead. And if you think that I deserve the same fate, then I'm not going to argue or fight, but before I will allow any of that I must speak to the Queen...I know that we did wrong, that we broke the one rule we shouldn't have, but at least allow me the chance to try to make up for such mistakes! It won't be enough. It won't turn back time. But...it's the least I can do to try and atone. Try and fix the unfixable." Helios by this point only stood a foot away from Maxis, getting his hands together in front of him. "Our mistakes have created a chain of events I fear will bring war between the two worlds. We came to warn the Queen of it. Please." Helios said. By this point he was pleading. The King of the world below had been in this world for hours. By this point he could have made enemies, allies, already made a plan. He got his hands to his chest. "Let us speak to the Queen, let us warn her, and if you still have anger towards me, then I won't fight the punishment you and the Queen see fit of me." Helios spoke. He could hear the murmurs already surging between the mystras soldiers, their eyes turning from the humans, to Maxis, to Helios, and back and forth and around. Endless Thundaga 533 Posted March 2, 2017 Jynn Venas and Bherna Lao-Forest near Mystras Jynn Venas As Jimba creates a huge fissure, Jynn is taken by surprise and begins to fall. I was not expecting that...... As he faces towards the World Below, Elia comes to the rescue and carries him back to land. He is then hurled to a safe area, with Elia collapsing in exhaustion. She then asks the prince what they should do. As he thinks, a sharp piece of rock suddenly slashes his left eye. He covers his eye and shrieks in pain. "GAAAHH!" He then uncovers his eye and sees nothing but darkness. His once blue eye has now become pale, he is now permanently blind in his left eye. Suddenly, a bright blue aura ignites around him. Infuriated, he begins to drag his arms, which are wildly sparking with electricity, but the sparks turn from a bright blue, to black. His pupils then expand, almost covering his eyes. He yells in anger with small black explosions surrounding him. Luckily, Elia was not harmed. Jynn then frantically looks around for Jimba with his right eye. As soon as he spots the punisher, he then takes off, emitting a windy shockwave from his feet. All attempts of communication from Elia, or anyone for that matter, are muffed out, as the prince is too overwhelmed by his rage to hear them. He then lands in front of Rufus, and emits another powerful shockwave as he lands, so powerful, it causes the boulder hurled by Jimba to crumble and fall to the ground. Drooling in anger, Jynn lifts up his electrified arms and smashes them into the ground, producing two explosions. But that was not all, in doing so, two streaks of electricity extend towards Jimba. "It shall be YOU that will be punished!" Jynn then digs his arms out of the ground and causes a chain of explosions to head towards Jimba, and unintentionally, Morana. Bherna Lao As Typhon lets Bherna go, she thanks him for his heroic actions. Just then, Melstrome lands behind her and lays down in an attempt to get her to safety. "Thanks Mel!" She climbs on the gelding's back, and then they take to the sky to avoid the battle. She then looks around for her Dad, to which she does, and is relieved. But, for some reason, he is acting unusual. All she could do is watch. But when she sees him send a chain of explosions at Jimba, she notices that Morana is in the line of fire. Bherna then tries to get her attention. "Watch out!" Sora's Baby 729 Posted March 2, 2017 ~Aqua: Falling and done with Jimba's nonsense~ Aqua saw the rocks coming toward her and lifted her staff above her. A blue aura flowed down from the staff and covered Aqua. The closest rocks to her all began to burst and turn to ash. Her quick thinking meant she wouldn't get hurt by the flying projectiles. She watched as many for the others attacked the crazed Jimba. While these attacks seemed to cause him harm they didn't stop him.She was about to send an attack Jimba's why when he lashed out again. She found the ground beneath her feet falling away and quickly hitting the ground below. She let her staff go in shock of what was happening and the aura around the elf dissipated. She quickly noticed the aura fade from her body and knew the reason why. She reached out and grabbed the staff. It hadn't fallen out of her reach yet, luckily for her. The staff now back where it belonged she left calmer. She started to reach into the back on her back. She grabbed a hard glass object and pulled it out. She tossed it toward the remaining ground above her. It landed just on the edge of the ground a mere inch from falling for the edge. The object shattered upon impact. Aqua's form vanished from where she was falling and she reappeared sprawled out on the ground half her body still hanging off the edge of the ground. She pulled herself onto the ground and stood up. "Now? How are we taking this crazed man down?" She asked and looked over to Mikhail and gave him a wave of her hand.
Saber Lily 1,543 Posted March 2, 2017 -Eclaire - about to leave the Queen's side, Kilkes Seres- Eclaire was taken back. To back asked to to not only take care of her people, but to watch after her son...to look after him. The responsibility was great, it was heavy...she did not think at first it could backed done, but as Shiva kissed her forehead, asking her to check the palace...Eclaire knew she had to. Falling to her knee in a kneeling salute, she backed owed her head. "At once, your Majesty." She rose in one fluid motion, then leaned in and hugged Shiva. "Thank you." She whispered. "Thank you for believing in me." She brushed her lips on Shiva's cheek in a final act of thanks, before stepping back. She seemed to crackle with lightning now, her hair not even frizzing. "As long acts you believe in me, Queen Shiva...I swear upon my life, that I will carry out your wishes without fail." Her foot ground into the dirt beneath her, and in a gust of vientertainment wind that would ruffle Shiva's gown, Eclaire set of using Flash Step, seemingly teleporting in short bursts until she was atop the nearest battlement. Seeing the shattered glass, she spread her angelic right and demonic left wings, and took off. Diving through the broken window, she banked and landed in a skid, ending up right beside Maxis. Fixing a single stray lock, she summoned to her hand In Paradisum, her God-Slaying Spear. "What is going on?" She asked, looking to Maxis. Her spear held tightly, she was ready to move asked a moment's notice, eyes on the newcomers. First hour as the Queen's Retainer. And a Manticore carrying a bunch of people broke a window. She could not help but think this for shadowed something. "And...who the hell are they?"
Vaude 536 Posted March 2, 2017 (edited) - Rufus Contralto, fighting Jimba alongside everyone within the vicinity - Rufus watched with succinct and odd pleasure after seeing the number of hits Jimba obtained, and yet he still did not know when to lay down and die. It baffled him how much a being can endure and live through, but Jimba took first place in survivability in his book. Worse yet was the fact that he pounded his fists into the ground and changed the entire surrounding terrain . . . with his fists! Seriously, thought Rufus, how did this dude not blow all of this world into obliteration? I hate to say it, but with such destructive capabilities he really needs to perish so that others may live. Unfortunately, I am powerless to stop him. The situation worsened when some fell through the ground and into abyssal chasms, and others rose atop large pillars of earth. Finally, Jimba looked up to him and noticed him, quickly catching on exactly what he was and what he was doing. Still, Rufus had nothing to fear. The man could throw as many boulders as he wanted at him and Rufus would come out unscathed -- drained of magic, but unscathed. Rufus stayed in place with all of his focus centred on Jimba, catching sight of Morana and Jynn as the boulder crumbled into shards of rock and they mutually assaulted the battered and bruised behemoth. He tried his best to continue his magical negation. However, he could not shake the thought that Jynn reminded him of someone. That reckless and almost feral style, that control over lightning, that menace -- why did it remind him of arenas? ((Cookies and dinner mints to whomever catches the reference, *wink*.)) - Jari Coriander, heading north of Mystras and near the earth-rocking event - "I don't know why I'm doing this. I really don't," said Jari in foxspeak as he slunk ever closer to the disturbance of explosions and shouts near the mountain path curving north of Mystras. Jari had his suspicions that trouble was underfoot a long while back and his gut instincts were to turn tail and run the exact opposite direction, but the curiosity that burned within him was far too great. Moving cravenly from tree to tree under the guise of a fox was simple and quiet enough with his padded, tiny paws, but to his mind it was horribly difficult, and he stopped every once in a while to judge the situation and speculate as to whether or not he should run. Why was he so interested in this commotion? Shouldn't he be more interested in his own life? Regardless of every worry he had, he trudged forward. Finally he could see the cause of all of this commotion, snarling black electricity and raining showers of rock pounding the distant battlefield. It seemed like an assortment of people were trying to fight one person, but the fight was break even. He could smell the thrill, the excitement, the burnt skin and the boiling of blood, and he recoiled from it, turning behind a tree trapped in one of the greatest clouds of fear he had ever been in. The closest he ever got to a fight was with Alastor. However, this was so raw, so real, that the snacks he ate almost surged up the entire length of his esophagus before he swallowed it back down. "Get a grip. Get a grip. Get a grip, Jari!" he whispered in repetition to himself. "You come from a long line of foxchildren that fought in wars. You can get used to this like your ancestors. You can stomach this. Besides, you can . . . yes, that's true. I can," he voiced in continuation, shifting from fox to his more human appearance. The scents of the overall fight were minimal now to his nose, but to his ears the sounds were still horrible. "This . . . this might be important. I should go on and watch, and, besides, the victor might be able to protect me . . . or kill me! Eagh! Why am I even doing this?!" He stayed in place as the battle went on. He figured that he needed to see this, be it to find out how to better protect himself or to aid a future employer. While he still feared for his life, the more he looked out into the battlefield, the longer he gazed and the calmer he became. Perhaps this really was not wholly bad. Endless Thundaga 533 Posted March 2, 2017 Jynn Venas and Bherna Lao-Forest near Mystras As soon as Jynn unleashes his previous attack, he then begins running at Jimba and charges up a darkly electrified fist. Up in the air, Bherna notices this and grows extremely nervous. "Oh no! Mel, we need to stop him! For the sake of that innocent girl!" The gelding quickly glides downwards. Jynn gets closer and closer to Jimba, not even noticing Morana on top of the punisher. Once he gets almost halfway there, he takes a giant leap with his fist first. But suddenly, he feels something grab him by the back of his hood. Melstrome has stopped Jynn in his tracks. The equine then hurls his master backwards. Bherna then tries to get Jynn's attention. "Dad, stop!" Jynn forges electric claws from his knuckles to keep himself from being flung back too far. He was unable to hear Bherna's plead for him to cease hostility, but upon the mere sight of her, he realizes he has succumbed to anger. "Bherna....." But once he regains his sanity, the sudden increase of power was too much for him to handle, and he collapses on the ground, with the blue aura dissipating, and his eyes returning to normal. Bherna gets off Melstrome and runs to her father's side, and tries to wake him up. "Dad? Dad? Wake up! Please, you gotta wake up!" She then puts her fingers on his neck to see if he still has a pulse, to which he does. "Oh thank goodness........." Mel then walks over and grabs Jynn by his hood again. The horse lifts his leg to provide a seat for Jynn to sit on. Bherna urges Mel to head back to Kilkes Seres. "You must get him back to grandma's." The pegasus opens up his wings and takes to the sky. Bherna however, stays behind. She takes to the sky to stay safe.
Elrandir 783 Posted March 3, 2017 (edited) - Aeternum Siblings - Main Hall of Kilkes Seres Castle - Helios, Gel, and Henry - Alright, things were quickly getting out of control. If both siblings thought that the stuff Helios, or Henry and Gel could do was impressive, this new guy was way beyond their imagination.Aura was looking at Helios, she was worried about the fey, he came back to a place that would probably try to execute him for breaking the laws, but he was trying to do something good to help everyone.Aurion was busy looking around at the guards, their stances, their weapons and armors. More were arriving with each passing second and that was bad enough. He was taken by surprise by Maxis, he managed to do something Aurion though was impossible, and that was hurting Henry. It was obvious that, from all the member of the group, the siblings were the ones who were at a great disadvantage. And yet they didn't cared, they were going to help Helios, one way or another.- Rabiyu - City of Mystras - Alleyways - It had been centuries since the last time Rabiyu felt the same thing she was feelign right now. The unmistakable feeling of dread. There was something within the city, something dangerous wandering the streets. While she was mostly alone back in the Forest of Illusion, she never felt something similar, well, perhaps one time, when she was taken against her will. - Unknown point in time - Forest of Illusion, Praestigia -Young Eliltari was lost and scared, oh so scared. It had been what? Minutes? Hours? Days!? She had been runing, she knew that her life depended on it, she had to keep going unless IT came for her. What IT was, she did not knew, but IT was bad. She heard the snapping of a twig and she turned around, a laugh in the distance made her turn around once again, only to be far away from the spot she thought she was standing."What?"Her voice was shaky, She clutched her trusty dagger close to her chest, her only mean of protection, and ran once again. A couple of minutes later she saw the strange observation tower were she woke up before."No..no...no.." she said," This is...this is the other way...this is further down...where is it!?"The young elf reasumed her way, she had to keep moving. The laugh could be heard from time to time, coming from all directions. Going left? There was the tower! Going right? the tower again! Somehow she was getting warped to the same place every time."Where is the exit! It's not here..." Elil said while looking around, "it's not here!""Well," a voice said, "look who it is!"Eliltari look at the tower only to see a silhouette running up, it sounded like a boy's voice!"Wait!" she yelled, "wait up!"She had to talk with this person, perhaps they knew how to get out of the strange forest. Eliltari ran up the stairs, but after a few seconds she noticed something, she was not making any progress, she never reached the top! if she made a step backwards, she was at the bottom again. This place was impossible! After an unkonwn amount of time Elil finally was at the top, she could see the vast forest around the tower, almost a never ending sea of trees."Hey, Eliltari!"The elf turned to look down and there it was the sillhouette again. She ran down the stairs, and after a moment she knew she couldn't get down. She tried for minutes? or was it hours? she did not knew, but the stairs never ended. Instead she sat and took out her Book of Memories, she had to write something, or else she would be going insane!I can't get down. The steps go on forever. DID YOU LIKED OUR FUN HOUSE? I've been walking down these steps for hours. A few steps backward and I'm at the top again. DID YOU MAKE SOME NEW FRIENDS? DID YOU ENJOY THE PARTY? This place is trying to wear me out. It's messing with my mind! WE HAD SO MUCH FUN WITH OUR UNINVITED GUEST! No, I won't let it get to me. I'll try and hold it all back. OPEN YOUR BOOK. DRINK FROM IT. LEARN OF OUR DEEDS! I can take it. I will get out of this place. WE CANNOT WAIT TO HAVE YOU AGAIN, HA HA HA! I will leave and never come back! AND DON'T FORGET OUR MISSING PIECE Screw this parlor tricks! OUR MASTER HUNGERS FOR YOU. WE ARE ALL CAUGHT IN ITS WEB...AND THE WEB CONSUMES US ALL!!! It was time to leave, Elil looked over the edge of the stairs, it was not that far, she could jump and the most it could happen was a little pain. She carefully stepped into the other side of the railing, then she could hear steps and feel a hand on her back."See ya."And then she was pushed over the edge. She was falling, falling and kept on falling! It made no sense! the tower wasn't that high! she was screaming, her mind was blank, she could feel the wind and the branches hitting her on her way down. After what seemed like minutes Elil braced herself for collision, she felt the hard ground below her, and her whole body hurt, she had no choice but to lay there, like a broken doll, and with the unmistakable taste of blood in her mouth."You don't look so good. We gotta get out of here, Child!" A gentle female voice said as she helped Elil on her feet, "Come with me. Trust me, alright? I'm your friend. I want to help you."Eliltari barely noticed the appearance of the kind woman, she could not see her face, for she was covered by her strange misty cloak, but she felt that she could trust her. She must have dozed off, because once she paid attention she was back in her room at home."Now, you stay right here, alright? I'm going to get the nurse." the woman said, "I'm going to be right back, okay? You just sit tight. Try not to pass out."The woman in the misty cloak gave one last look at the young elf before closing the door of her room. Eliltari slowly got up and walked towards the door, she had to know who this woman was."...Wait..." she said, her voice was barely audible, "who are...you?"The moment Eliltari opened the door the walls of her safe home were gone, instead, she came to see the same trees and the same darkness than before. The young girl fell to her knees and coughed up blood before falling unconscious again. The laugh could be heard once again, coming from all over the place. This was going to be a fun night, BECAUSE NIGHT IS LONGEST WHEN DAY DOES NOT EXIST! Memories from those early years were hazy to say the least. Rabiyu barely remembered her childhood, but her Book of Memories gave her some insight on what happened, or at least what she thought was happening. Perhaps it would be a better idea to try and find Yevgeni instead of looking for the source of the feeling she was having. Perhaps she needed to stop walking towards Lord Raiden's villa, turn around and look for his fellow elf. In any case, this night was going to be something to be remembered, just like the coming days. (Wow. That was one strange ride, if I do say so myself. I knew I was going to make a short post for Rabs, but I didn't wanted that, instead I choose to make a little flashback to Elil's "first" trip to hell, or Forest of Illusions as I like to call it, after losing her memories. I'm waiting to decide if I either cross paths with the Knight in Red and Alastor, or if I should go and find Yev. Either way, I will wait and see how events move along.) Stardustblade358 806 Posted March 6, 2017 -Morana - Forest near Mystras - End of Jimba battle- Morana jumped off from Jimba's back just in time as Jynn delivered the ultimate blow to finally bring Jimba down. Morana stepped back, panting as she allowed Jimba's blood drip from her blades. Whatever the attack it took a lot out of Jynn, as he had to be sent back to the capital via pegasus. Morana looked down at the blood on her bones, and used the grass beneath to wipe the blood and dirt off the most she could. Though it wasn't much. "What the actual hell..." Morana hummed, watching the dead body before them. Finally he was dead. Morana still kept staring, waiting for him to wake up and continue fighting, but thankfully he was fully and 150% dead. "Oh thank goodness." Morana finally sighed, allowing herself to relax as she retracted her bones back into her body and skin. She turned to look over at Rufus. "Your powers are incredible. Good job." Morana said as she decided to complement the genie. She had never seen one before. However her eyes soon turned to the reason that this whole thing even started; the Cyph. Last of his kind, and worth more in pieces than whole. At least in Jimba's eyes, apparently. "I'm going to guess this wasn't you first near death experience, but certainly the toughest so far." Endless Thundaga 533 Posted March 6, 2017 Jynn Venas - Heading back to Kilkes Seres with Melstrome In Jynn's mind In the dark abyss of Jynn's comatose mind, the young prince floats in the center asleep. It was almost as if he was falling to darkness. But then a familiar voice calls out to him. "Jynn........... Jynn......." The prince slowly wakes up. "Who....... Who's there?" He gets up and floats with his feet facing downwards, looking around him. The voice returns. "Who I am is of no importance." Why's that? What, was this guy some kind of overlord of imagination land? Jynn then mockingly laughs. "Then what do you want from me?" Why was this voice following him from Raiden's Villa to now, and who's was it? "You have succumbed to your rage in your last battle, it has...... unbalanced you." Jynn sighs. "Well, if someone became half blind, who WOULDN'T lose their mind?" There was a slight pause. It was like the mysterious voice was frustrated or something. Jynn sarcastically continues. "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt your important script. Proceed to your conclusion." The voice speaks again. "Must you be so difficult? Anyways, you have a special power that no other fey can pull off, except for one. It is a dangerous power that would normally kill a fey upon awakening it, but you and this other individual are a special exception. Unfortunately, it fuels your inner darkness, and rage, as you probably know." Jynn looks down. This guy is right, Jynn felt nothing but anger when he lost his sight in his left eye. He closes that eye and puts his fingers over his eyelid. "Well, I can't disagree with you on that." He then thought for a moment. Maybe this guy is actually trying to help him. He proceeds to listen more. "So, what should I do?" The voice immediately replies. "Patience, this other individual I spoke of will come to you. He will teach you how to control your inner darkness. Until then, you must be patient." Jynn nods. "I see. Alright then. For now, I'll trust you...." The voice laughs. Did Jynn say something silly? "Very good..... That's what I expect from............" Jynn's eyes widen. "Wait, what?! You're.........!" Jynn suddenly wakes up and faces down, surprised by being high up in the air without knowing. But then he feels Melstrome breathing behind him. "Oh..... I'm sorry bud. Where are you taking me?" The pegasus points his upper lip to a large city, Kilkes Seres. "Home, huh? Alright. Is Bherna and everyone else okay?" Mel nods. Jynn sighs. "That's good. I hope that good for nothing "punisher" got what he deserved."
Endless Thundaga 533 Posted March 6, 2017 Bherna Lao - Heading back to Kilkes Seres As Jimba ceases to exist, Bherna lets out a sigh of relief. She then looks at the sky and begins to worry about her father. He acted strange, almost animalistic. It was scary to even watch. She then opens her wings and flies around to tell everyone that she is heading to Kilkes Seres. "I'm sorry, but I must go to my father. I don't know what happened to him." She quickly heads home. Vaude 536 Posted March 6, 2017 (edited) - Rufus Contralto, at the end of the fight in the mountains - Rufus blinked in great surprise and ceased his magical cancellation, the power turning within himself and making it instantaneous. This surprise was not due to Jynn's crushing electric blows -- that would have been understandable from someone as potent in electric control as Jynn, even though the black lightning was a shock -- but it was more the incarnadine spear which punched through Jimba's tough hide. It looked liquid, yet solid. Was it blood? Maybe it was iron control, or perhaps it was something different? Whatever it was, it looked material enough, even if magical in nature, and when it seemed confirmed that Jimba was deceased he quickly whooshed down to visually inspect it before flying out of danger's way near the ground next to Morana. Who knew what this mysterious substance could do to a genie, though he ensured himself that it was indeed arcane blood from the way it moved and looked. "Whoever did that did us a huge favour," he muttered under his breath, looking at the still carcass of Jimba. What a frustrating man he is, thought Rufus. Even now he is still standing. At least he's not shouting and screaming, but I greatly desire to shove him over and call it square. Quickly, however, he pepped up and graciously received Morana's compliment. Such was Rufus: wild and inconstant in terms of seriousness. "Many assortments of thanks, milady, and you have done a fine job as well, might I tell!" he piped joyfully. "Only do I wish I could have done more physical. Had I what I think I had, I would have had him right where I wanted! Bif! Boom! Pow!" He stalled himself for a moment, deep in thought, before looking at everyone around him. Several new people were around, and he coughed into his hand, quite forgetting to introduce himself. "Pardon my chattering teeth. Rufus is my name, and equalising is my game. Who might all of you be? Being a raconteur, I wish to engrain them into my memory for regaling future generations with this quality scrap." - Jari Coriander, entering the aftermath of the Great Jimba War of some forest somewhere - Jari watched closely as everything came to a close, wincing once the giant behemoth of a Fey died on his feet, pierced through by some sort of strange weapon. He turned around the tree with his head spinning. He was still unsure regarding who was the good guys, and whether the survivors would treat him with some fairness or a swift death. He had no skills to back up on, excepting his minimal practice with the weakly enchanted dagger. However, considering all that was being said by the members of this strange group, they seemed friendly enough. He watched as a Wendigo communicated with some weird sort of floating man. He eyed the flying little girl as she took off somewhere north. He eyed the bugman and the witcher as they probably shared looks, and the fairy and young elf if they were anywhere close by. They did not seem like a connected bunch of any sorts, and he assumed it was perfectly all right to jump in. Even his instincts told him this would be fine, so he revolved around the tree and ensured that he would be recognised by these strangers by raising his voice and holding his hands above his head. "Before you all head your separate ways, I want to say two things: congratulations, and I need your help." The words left his mouth sounding rather alien, and Jari felt a surge of nervousness rush to his face, paling his young face. He almost turned back and into the forest again, but he knew that would have been downright stupid and stayed put. Whatever would happen was in their hands now, not his, and he waited for a response. - The Infiltrator, within Raiden's villa in the reading study - Raiden had left for his meeting with Shiva, and the Infiltrator paced around the study within Raiden's fine establishment. He recently changed into Raiden's finery, washed his face, and removed the grease from his hair. He made quite the presentable double for Raiden in the meantime, but the only other person in the room noticed the difference. "You play quite the part for a double," Nihil chuckled in the background, taking a form in a dark corner of the room. The lampshade oozed darkness, contaminating the room and siphoning more and more light. Within the corner a grin shown bright, all teeth and each of them menacing and sneering. "I was wondering when you would show up," The Infiltrator groaned, breaking away from his routine and falling into one of the armchairs. "If I wasn't desired, you would not have been here," the other voiced. "True. I need your power and your aid, but not in the form of a wish." "Aww, how unoriginal. And here I was hoping that the copy would have some sense of individuality." "I am not here to argue with you," commented The Infiltrator with a grimace, "but rather loan your abilities. You have a potent effect on people, and it is about time we cash that in on a nuisance." "Is this about the little girl that burned your book?" the shadow purred. "She seemed rather nice. You shouldn't attempt such a thing." "This is more than a petty vendetta. This goes back far longer than you would know, though perhaps you have had a taste of what she usually does. These . . . rituals?" "They seemed harmless enough." "They are not. However, you were not caught, and can you recognise her face?" The darkness wrapped the entire room right now, leaving only the glaring white teeth as a beacon of Nihil's location. With a swiftness few could master, Nihil disappeared and popped in front of The Infiltrator, making him jump uncomfortably in his seat. The shade grinned widely. "I was not caught, and I can recognise her easily. The lamp contains all of my magical properties, as you probably have attempted tapping with your search magic. But let's discuss price. You cannot assume I will do something for nothing, and I particularly crave . . . excitement. I desire trouble, chaos, mayhem, and that is not in Raiden's great plan. However--" "A simple enough price, but location is key. I will trust that to you, but I think it fair to warn you that if you go beyond scaring or lie about location I will use my one wish to wish for you to be destroyed." "That is such a common threat nowadays, it seems," Nihil chuckled, "but I find it fair that my price is two things and not one. I must mess with you too to make things fair. One party, the other party, and a third party." "My other must be rubbing off on you if you are harping on about fairness," said The Infiltrator with a smirk. "Let us visit Midnea in her sleep." The darkness withdrew from the room with a hiss and was siphoned into a gathered mass above Nihil, which the creature gobbled up gluttonously with his forelimbs. With an afterward grin, he propped himself onto The Infiltrator's shoulders, more ethereal than heavy. "After you," burbled the shadow, "Spoilers: I'm going to have so much fun." "Spoilers: me too," confirmed The Infiltrator as he ascended, snared the lamp, removed the shade, and sprang to the rafters, entering the walls through a secret door.
