Neena ~ The Zealot ~ Mystras; Raiden's Home

It had not taken long to figure out where Raiden lived. He was the lord after all, ask anyone and they'd be happy to tell an innocent girl. If only innocent was the word she would use to describe herself. Neena had snuck inside, using a little magic to open a window and slip inside quietly. The place was nice, befitting a lord. A few servants went about their lives, but scarcely enough to make going through unnoticed difficult. Neena slid from shadow to shadow, listening quietly at each door for voices, opening it herself if she heard none. Neena had heard tell that Shiva had moved troops against Lord Raiden, but unfortunately that was all she'd heard. The reason was unknown, but if Shiva was against it, then Neena felt that it might be good for herself to check it out. The enemy of my enemy is my friend after all. Regardless, if warning Raiden would help to stop Shiva then Neena was all for it, even if Raiden's intentions turned out to be less than pure himself. Neena rapped her knuckles against the door she had found, light peeking from the bottom of the door, and voices engaging in conversation. Knock. Knock. Knock. Then Neena opened it anyway. She looked at the people she'd found. One matched the description of Lord Raiden, and the other was likely a bodyguard of sorts, his armor quite bulky and intimidating. Well, it might have been intimidating to a lesser woman. "Lord Raiden, I'd like to trade some information for some information from you." Neena said after closing the door. No reason to beat around the bush. She wanted to know what he was doing, and why Shiva was against it. "There is a band of soldiers and other so-inclined Feys heading towards here. That was just the advance to tell you that I mean business, but now it's your turn. Do we have a deal?"

Gel ~ The Farmer ~ Avarice; Road Into

Gel had thought that getting out of the country might be a good thing. Yes he was tempted to go back and free any other subjects and the poor beings that had given him his abilities, but he realized now that he was far too weak to do such a thing. He would only get himself caught he was certain. No, it'd be better if he just disappeared, never to be found again. He could remove himself from all this business, with any luck one day die a natural death. Otherwise, immortality might get a little suspicious, but nothing he couldn't deal with. This was all that he had been thinking at least, until the beast essentially crashed to the ground, it's riders sent sprawling. Gel's heart skipped a beat from the shock of it all, then as he processed it, he kind of, looked down to the ground, kicking some dirt. So much for just... escaping. A flying person had just crashed into the world right next to him. And Gelabrous felt this would not the last time fate would try to get him involved. "Are you, ah, alright? Flying person? Other people that had been flying atop the flying person? That looked pretty messy. And by messy I mean, y'know, harmful. That's not what messy means at all. Anyway, are you hurt?" Gel asked, moving towards them. He could heal them if they were, then ask what they were doing exactly. And why that guy could fly.

Cerberos ~ The Mercenaries ~ Onboard The Phoenix

"This was the worst job we could have chosen." Viridem hissed. The trio were hidden in the underbelly of the ship. It was hot there, machinery working hard to keep the ship afloat. Clearly Viridem was not enjoying the trip thus far. It had looked far more hospitable on the actual decks, but considering they were not supposed to be there, those were kind of offlimits.

"Pays better than anything else." Swanson replied, simply sharpening one of the double bladed war-axes he'd brought with him. The heat did not bother him as much. He'd lived in the southern part of the continent, and was used to heat. Of course, it was still uncomfortable, this tiny little spot where they could not be seen. "As well it should. This is rather risky considering the only way we have back down to the planet is back on this ship." Swanson mused, though he didn't seem to regard it as a problem. It was just another piece of the pie truly, and Swanson tended to regard problems as, well not problems. Just his nature. Meanwhile, Ryonne looked out, quietly keeping an eye and ear out for any who might come looking. They'd escaped detection a couple times now, but Ryonne knew that at any moment that luck could run out. They needed to be ready for that potential. Ryonne was unsure how they'd get out of that alive though. Foreign spies, on an enclosed ship, against eight of the most skilled fighters in Sondon and the King himself. Ryonne knew he was strong, but that was simply ridiculous. Odds like that were the kind that got you killed. Funny how at the time they'd taken the job it hadn't sounded nearly this bad.

Rabiyu - Inside Jynn's abode
"Indeed." Rabiyu answered, "Let us depart."
The High Elf then turned her head towards the Djinni.
"I think the phrase had something to do with power, Master Contralto, but I digress," she said to Rufus, "You can stay with Master Baxter and the rest of the group if you so wish, perhaps they could teach you about this time period. In any case, I will be leaving in a moment on an important mission with Lord Yevgeni and Alicia. If I need your services then I will summon you with the card you gave me."
Rabiyu then focused on her other companions.
"Any time your ready to go."

- Rufus Contralto, with Baxter at Jynn's abode -

Rufus blinked several times out of confusion, even though as a genie he had no reason to blink at all.  So much
information, and good information at that, even if Baxter seemed a little young in his responses.  Maybe he was
like Children of Mana, young in mind and body and old in years.

"Pleased to make your acquaintance, Master Baxter!" Rufus said chipperly, offering a hand for a handshake even
though he was intangible.  It took him a moment to realise this.  "I am Rufus Contralto, and I cannot grant you
your wishes, as sad as I am to say it.  That belongs to my current owner, and with great wishes comes great
responsibility.  I think I heard that line from some moving picture somewhere or something, if there are such
things as moving pictures.  So tell me, youngling, what's this world like?  I'm confused about so many situations,
and my mind is still catching up from the past six hundred years."

Aeternum Siblings with Helios - Near Avarice
Both siblings were on the ground, the younger one was still firmly attached to the older one.
"That was fun," Aurion said," Don't worry Aura, I got you."
Aura on the other hand was slightly shaking, the situation made her remember something from the past, something awful. Her brother slowly stood up along, helping her to do the same.
"I need time to calm myself," she said as she looked around, "Just give me a few more minutes."
Aurion was about to answer when he heard a voice he did not recognized.
"Uh? Oh! Yeah, we are fine," he answered, "Do not worry. Just a slight miscalculation. Nothing to worry about...I hope!"
He then made his way towards Helios.
"Hey, are you alright buddy?" Aurion asked, "Here. Let me help you."

-Helios and the Aeterum Siblings, near Avarice, with stranger (Gel)-
Helios got on his feet before roughly shaking his body, getting any dirt, leaves and grass off him when he had fallen, as few lose feather falling off here and there. His feathers puffed slightly before calming down and look on Aurion. "I'm ok. Received worse." Helios said as he stretched a bit. "I apologize for such rough landing. I kind of trip at the last second...but is your sister ok?" Helios asked with concern., turning his attention towards her. She was shaken, and though visibly not physically hurt...it looked like the fall had either scared her or done something else. "Aura, are you alright? I'm sorry if the fall scared you. I didn't see that root." Helios hummed, declaring his small apology and bowing his head slightly, before perking his head up at the sound and the sight of the stranger. Well, crap. They've been seen. Maybe they could convince him that it was all a dream and knock him out. His first thoughts were of how could this stranger be of any danger to them, though he doubted it. He didn't seem...dangerous. But one could never be too careful...something Helios had learned the very, very bad way. Helios quickly transformed back into his human form, leaving only a puff of smile before standing in a defensive stance by the siblings. If things went array...he wouldn't hesitate to fight back. "We are...fine I think." Helios responded. "...so um...how much did you saw just now?"

-Morana, among lost ruins-

The ruins themselves were abandoned generations before she was born, and their structure slowly eroded and decayed. Yet even then, their magnificence still remained. Though it did not take long to realize that she wasn't alone in the ruins. Hiding among the darkness, within the overgrown weeds and tree roots watched a figure of myth and lore, who's grotesque appearance have always scared those who had tried to steal the treasures they guard. Known shifters and thieves as they were who were vengeful whenever thy saw it fit. Spriggan. "O-Oh..." Morana hummed, stepping back as she saw the Spriggan rise, its body expanding and becoming taller to bring more fear to the small Fey that had wondered into its lair. "I...Spriggan..." Morana hummed, looking up. It didn't even speak, simply letting out a low growl from the bottom of its throat, as if to to show its disgust and anger of the fact that she was around. Oh boy.

Midnea - On Phoenix ship

Meanwhile Midnea & the knight in red were still locked within the captains quarters room. Midnea was checking on a few books within the captains desk drawers before looking over a map of the Overworld that the captain had a copy of on his desk. "... Shiva... Raiden... you both have had it easy for far to long..." thought Midnea as she looked intensely at the Overworld's map. "I guess I should check on my king now to see if he has need of me" said Midnea quietly as she then sits up from off the captains chair walking over to the door that was locked. The knight in red then unlocks the door letting Midnea walk out first before walking out himself. The 2 then walk a bit head over to where the king & captain were on the ship. Soon the 2 were near King Alderon's side "How are things going my king? are you in need of my help in anyway?" asked Midnea with the knight in red standing just behind her.

- Raleigh Marin, currently on board the Phoenix airship heading for the Overworld -

Raleigh frowned in disappointment, just barely hearing the door swing in the wild winds and, thirty seconds later, not finding a single individual defenestrating themselves from the window.  Pity.  She hoped to shoot one or two into the world below, no questions asked.

Something's up, or she's just plain crazy, thought Raleigh, looking across toward the fey and the knight in red.  The co-conspirators, if any, would have fled to safety of view, or maybe the winds are too turbulent for them.  What is that nasty piece of business up to?

She looked upward pensively, wondering which of five different possibilities Midnea could be hoping to accomplish, and her jaw slacked in surprise.

"Captain!  King Alderon!" she shouted, rushing to the deck-facing balustrade in hopes of finding them both.  "Look up there, in the clouds!"

Up where she was pointing was an odd scene, a parting of a cloud's underbelly and the revealment of a dark, bulky figure within it, much like the cracking of the shell of a newborn chick.  It was small at first, but grew at a steady pace and was very noticeable twenty seconds after she called out.  The alien thing hiding within the cloud was motionless, but sharp and jagged tears could be seen on its underbelly.  Raleigh squinted a little in fascination.  The figure reminded her of uprooting from the ground a plant and its surrounding earth.

"The Overworld?" she muttered as if to herself, unsure of what else to say.  When she thought of a city in the sky, she didn't actually picture this.

- Lord Raiden, within his villa with a new, uninvited guest -

Raiden rose to his feet upon the sounds of an unexpected rap, surprised and agitated.  Who other than Alastor would interrupt him at this hour?  No servant of his would even think of knocking on his lounge doors, not without rightfully fearing for their life as they knew it, but this was no servant.  In entered a strange and unknown girl, carrying with her a sense of determination few could match.

He listened to her with a mien of confusion at first, then amusement, then interest, and he turned to Alastor with a flat smile.

"It appears you've brought an associate of yours, good friend.  She seems to have picked up after your mannerisms."  He looked toward Neena this time, giving her a once-over before speaking anew.  "I'm assuming this could not have waited for a more decent hour, informant.  I acquiesce to your trade, but know this:  I will give as much poignancy and potency as you provide me.  Accept this and our conversation may begin."

Baxter: Jynn's house within a Mountain - Near Mystras

"Same here genie" said Baxter as he showed a smile while he went to shake the hand of the genie Rufus, but only for Baxter's hand to pass right through his "Oh... right" said Baxter as that quick moment of awkwardness went by. Baxter listened intently to Rufus's words "Moving pictures?... clearly this genie holds knowledge beyond even wisdom itself." thought Baxter in wonder "Wow, 600 years? really? I'm sorry you were trapped for so long, & I'll gladly tell you about this world so you'll know whats happening around you genie Rufus. Okay, so where to start... oh yeah! I should start with the basics. Well this world is the only world I've ever known to be & is a world of many big natural areas with mostly friendly creatures of different races. There are also kingdoms in this world that hold many different things & places that you can't find anywhere else. We even have powerful rulers that keep everything in check making sure we all are safe, happy & friendly to others. But I'm afraid this has changed greatly because of what happened 7 years, you see 3 feys found a new world that lies below us & ventured there without a care for what could happen. This event has lead us to alot of trouble & one of the rulers which is the ruler I work under known as Queen Shiva has sent us the group here to look into ruler Raiden's kingdom of Mystras to investigate around as she has thoughts about him possibly pursuing a goal outside their ideals." said Baxter as he scratches the back of his head.

"I believe that sums up everything so far. So genie Rufus, you already have someone holding your genie lamp do you? who is it? & have they made a wish yet? maybe they won't mind me asking them if I can make a wish with your all mighty power." asked Baxter already starting to think of random wishes to wish for even without the genie lamp in his hands.

Rabiyu then focused on her other companions.
"Any time your ready to go."

- Rufus Contralto, currently inside Jynn's abode and departing -

Rufus took everything in like a sponge, his head swimming in information that took a little while for him to fully decipher.  The youth, even though he was confusing in a few areas to the djinni, was definitely knowledgeable in current events.  Perhaps he really was as he said, a member of and guard for Shiva's court.  In lieu of this, Rufus threw all other thoughts of his origins out the window and eagerly decided to reply to the young one and his master.

"Mistress Rabiyu holds my reins for now, and doubtless she would little want to gift me to you without too much thought on the matter," he answered with a warm smile.  "Take a few days to think of your wish.  Clear your head of what you really do not want, and mayhap she will grant you my lamp.  For now, I can grant you little more than my friendship and companionship."  He turned to Rabiyu, still beaming with happiness.  "Milady, I would adore to stay and ascertain more knowledge.  Thoroughly enjoyable would it be to understand this world and its inhabitants.  Furthermore, as you have accurately figured I am at your beck and call, even if not with my lamp.  Bonne chance, Mistress!"

- Alastor - The Storm Wielder - Alongside Raiden -

"Yeah lets just hope this sudden bout of boldness and luck don't end up getting you killed." Alastor joked for a second with Raiden, as for the Aegis's opening.

"So Turbulent War may be waged between the kingdoms because of it. Like it or not, there will be a battle..." Alastor aknowledged as a consequence of Raiden trying to change the very course of the world with the Aegis.

"The Temple you mean? Christ that place hasn't crumbled to dust yet?" Alastor commented dryly as he heard footsteps from outside, however silent they may have been, Alastor had the very wind and air on his side to hear his surroundings.

Grabbing Raiden's arm as the man rose from his seat. Alastor told him, "Take it with a grain of salt, as always." Alastor advised Raiden as the ruler went to speak with this assassin, as Alastor simply rose from his seat as well, grabbing his helmet from the table and turning it on as he turned towards Neena and Raiden, Neena could spot his face through the action if she was quick enough. His eyes glowing with power.

"I know not of this woman. Although I sense high magic potential from within her...Interesting element combo..." Alastor commented as he simply watched the two's conversation. Arms crossed, with his figure imposing as always.

- Henry - The Running Rock Man - On the road to Chaumont -

"Great, im out. now to meet up with the others in the other side of the fricking continent..." Henry commented with a sigh as he kept on a steady pace, most of his armor falling apart to allow him to run faster. Running straight for the city. It didn't take him long to get there, luckily he had a cloak on his pouch, all he needed was to put the cloak on and he would be a bit less easier to recognize.

"No doubt Carrion pidgeons were sent forwarning the guards of my arrival, or are being sent. I'l take this chance to buy some supplies and head off. Before I attract the wrong kind of attention, I really don't want to kill anyone tod- gah!" Henry grunted in pain a bit as his arm felt a nasty stinging sensation, like something splintered off him. "Oh, that feeling again...firetrucking hell, last time it changed me...now I need to be doubly quick to get out of town." Henry muttering to himself as he walked the city's markets.  Planning a route on his head.

'I head to Bayeux, north of here, and immediately head to Troyes, I might be able to throw them for a loop. Upon arriving at Troyes, cut through towards Godolvia out of the main roads, faster that way. And the same to reach Avarice, shortcuts are my best friends now.' he thought to himself as he began buying supplies for the road, with what little coin he had.

--Yevgeni Malachite-- Jynn's abode in the Mystras Mountain Range--

The change in orders had certainly caught the blond by surprise, but Jynn’s reasoning made adequate sense.  “I think you may underestimate Her Majesty, but of course you know your mother better than anyone.”  There was no room to further argue, nor did Yev feel the need to.

“I would assume that you all are ready to take off, seeing as you are both dressed and have your belongings,” Yevgeni stated, placing a gloved hand on the hilt of his sword at his waist.  “We should leave now while the day is still young.  With luck we should reach Mystras by nightfall, at the utmost latest.”  The elf turned to steal a quick glance at Jynn, offering him a quick nod.  “I will report to you if we find anything that I think you will have a particular interest in.  If you find anything first, please do let us know.”

With those final words Yevgeni began to take a few paces away from the mountain home, in lieu of Mystras and assuming that Rabiyu and Alicia were behind him.  This was the first time that he’d really traveled with only two female companions, but he didn‘t question either of their capabilities on the battlefield.  He did run the risk of getting distracted, but that hadn’t happened in a very long time and he doubted that it would then.

--Elia Cabret – Jynn’s abode in the Mystras Mountain Range—

A soft smile crept upon Elia’s face.  She really liked the girl; there was something so sweet and yet so curious about her.  “It sounds like your dad loves you dearly, which must be incredibly nice.  I’m a little surprised that he allows you to go into Mystras alone.  Are you worried about getting hurt all on your own?”

It wasn’t rare to see young fey wander the streets of Kilkis Seres alone, but Mystras was a beast of an entirely different color.  Their race and culture were highly diverse, unlike Kilkis Seres, and their law was not as strictly defined as it were in the kingdom.  Of course this was all an assumption made by the young mind of the fairy, but it would not have been unlikely to be true.

The seriousness that crept into Bherna’s tone made Elia’s eyes widened, instinctively snatching up her small hands into hers.  “Aww, Bherna, don’t say such things!  I’m sure that whatever you’ve done couldn’t be that terrible.  We all make mistakes.”  She burned with curiosity to know what exactly Bherna had done, but she didn’t feel it was her place to pry, either, especially seeing as they had only just become acquainted.

--Shiva – Kilkis Seres—

A moment’s silence lapsed between the succubus and the ice queen.  “Ah, I see,” Shiva said finally, falling silent once more.  There was no further explanation needed.  Eclaire had continuously alluded to being haunted by her past, and no doubt she feared doing the very same that she’d done to all of those people.  “Eclaire, I hope that you know that you need not fear what you could do to me.  I am very capable of taking care of myself, but I appreciate the sentiment.  I don’t doubt that your fears are very real, especially since I believe I’m correct in assuming your latest victims fell prey to you not too long ago?”

Shiva did not mean harshness in her words, though after she spoke them regret filled her chest.  She didn’t want Eclaire feeling further withdrawn or remorseful than she currently was, though she wished that she could reach the woman a little easier than she was.

Casually the queen poured herself a small glass of red wine from a pitcher on the table, moving to pour some for her rose-haired companion as well.  “To answer your question, I think death is something that haunts us all, yes, and it would seem perfectly natural for you to fear it.  I am mildly confused why you are comparing death to lapsing into your hunger, unless”—the queen’s brows furrowed slightly, her gaze rising from the table to meet hers—“does this hunger eventually . . . kill?”

(It’s probably only a matter of time before Shiva and Eclaire’s heartfelt and emotional meal is interrupted by the sounds of explosions overhead. :P)

--Curvis Sourati and Alderon Niles – Aboard the Phoenix, approaching the Aegis—

Upon Raleigh’s outburst both the captain and Alderon glanced toward the sky.  The gateway to the world above did indeed seem to become apparent, though it too was not quite what Alderon had pictured.  Not that it really mattered.  “Rise it up!” Alderon cried out, moving away from the captain and passing the assassin.  “I know that we will need you once we are up there,” he murmured lowly to the young woman.  “We have allies above that I have been convening with, but I doubt our arrival will be embraced by all.  We may have enemies, though I know you will be able to outsmart them with all of your strength and wit.  You have the legends for it, after all.”

Finally the king acknowledges Midnea, excitement filling his gray eyes in a shade more vibrant than they ever had been.  He’d seemed far younger than his age as he lightly scooped Midnea up and spun her around.  “We’ve made it!  We’re here!  At long last, and after many years!  This would not be possible if it were not for you.  Thank you, my dear.”  He placed her lightly on her feet before taking her hand and kissing it.  “I am sure that it must be delightful for you as well.  Think of all the possibilities, and everything we’ve worked so hard to build.”

The ship rose higher into the sky, entering what seemed to be the entrance to the Overworld and into darkness.  It was difficult to see anything, and only the dim light of the sky below could be seen as it shrank further and further into the distance.  The staff seized kerosene lamps and ignited them, revealing slimy stone walls with water traveling through their crevices.  Up ahead the ceiling slanted, and for a brief moment the captain feared for the Phoenix’s sail.  Thankfully they had just enough clearance.

The sound of rushing water could be heard, causing Curvis to frown in confusion.  He leaned over the side of the ship to spot some kind of a dam or stream below them, which the airship slowly gravitated toward.  The airship could apparently convert into that of a regular ship, as the massive flying machine slowed tremendously as it descended.  As they glided upon the water’s smooth surface two figures loomed into view.  It alarmed Curvis slightly that they were expected by those of the Overworld, but Alderon only grinned as he spotted them.

“We shall dock here,” Alderon instructed the captain.  “These are the people who shall help us.”

Eclaire - having lunch with Shiva,Kilkis Seres

"Only if I let it."

Eclaire accepted the wine, taking a sip before continuing. "A succubus feeds off of the life force of others. Effectively, if unchecked or careless, a succubus can sick the very life from you. Out means of it are sensuous acts, many times full blown sexual contact. I equate feeding with death, because I was careless, foolish. Many people died because of my hunger, and many families are scarred because of me. My body gives off an aura that tricks people. I nearly fed on a girl a few days ago...one drawn to me. I fed little and ran, scared I would have drained every drop of life from her." She looked at Shiva. "I fear, Queen Shiva, if my hunger grows too much and I force myself upon you...I'd never be able to redeem myself." She finished quietly, looking down.

"All I wanted to do was help people...now all I can do is fear destroying them."

Neena ~ The Zealot ~ Mystras; Raiden's Home

Neena regarded both her audience members carefully. The armored man was a threat, she saw it in his eyes before the helmet was put on, and she couldn't underestimate Raiden either. They'd both remained this powerful for this long for a reason, and she doubted it was Raiden's policy of free cookies on Monday. But she wouldn't back down. She needed them to tell her things before she moved any further. The Zealot nodded her head. She would agree to Raiden's deal. She intended to give him all the poignancy and potency he could want, so getting as much back was reassuring. "I've been stalking the group for the last while, keeping track of them. I can tell you quite a bit. But first, I'd like to ask you about why they're being sent after you in the first place: Have you been dealing with the Isopolis? If you have, why?" She asked. Straightforward enough. But still, she felt very on edge. Things could go south at a moment's notice, and her whole body was tense from the possibility.

Gel ~ The Farmer ~ Avarice; Road Into

Gel noticed the kind of brushing off they gave him, and the weird looking man's defensive stance. And of course, he had also noticed the whole shapeshifter thing. Gel paused for a moment, letting the tension of silence sink in for a bit of time, before finally speaking up. He began to walk a bit closer to them, so that he didn't have to speak as loudly. "I saw the shapeshifting thing, so uh, hiding that's not really an option. And trust me, I've already seen some crazy shit. This other guy, he was crazy strong and had weird earth armor. I suppose you're like him right? King Alderon got a hold of you?" Gel inquired. It was the only possible explanation, right? Unless this was the Fey used in the experiments, but that seemed improbable. Gel began to realize how suspicious he looked, knowing all this. They didn't know him, didn't know that he wouldn't harm a fly. He raised his hands, almost defensively, despite any questioning of him having actually begun. "I'm sorry, I should have introduced myself, that was a little rude of me. Got distracted by the whole situation, things are kind of intense, you feel? Anyway, I'm Gelabrous Skid. I'm like the earth guy and you too. Just, um, here, lemme show you." Gel pulled a tiny knife out of his pocket, a pocketknife if you will, and extended his open palm to them so they could see it. Then he sliced it open. Gel flinched, but held strong. Blood leaked from the wound, but it took scarcely any time before his palm was good as new, if a little bloodstained. "See?" He offered.

~Aqua:Jynn's Place~

Aqua then smiled. A meek, smile and shy smile. It was a brief smile too. One that appeared and faded very quickly. She spoke up her voice firm and very kind. "You can't let fear into your heart or mind. No one gets a happy ending that way. I'm not very well versed into my magic yet either and everyone fails sometimes. So just remember you have to keep trying." She grinned trying to lift the mood.

She wasn't one for sour moods and right now she wanted to busy herself from her own mind. She need to not think. To not hear the fear that filled her own mind. She had to get her mind off of her horrible thoughts and the looming horrible feeling she had. She wasn't to keen on self doubt in her or anyone else. She knew that Elia must have not wanted Bherna to feel that way either as Aqua noticed her gripping other's hands.

(OK,I replied,I finally found something passable.)

Jynn Venas-In his abode in the Mountains near Mystras

Jynn nods back at Yevgeni. "That will be much appreciated." He then hears Baxter's concerns regarding the next move. "We need to stay put, see what develops. I cannot risk going to the city myself, because if Raiden is somehow involved with this incident, he will most likely see me as a threat." He then proceeds to head outside after hearing voices. Baxter mentions that it was his duty to protect Jynn, and claims that he could never face Shiva again if he fails. Jynn then turns back to Baxter before opening the door. "I appreciate your help, and I understand your concerns."

Bherna Lao-In her abode in the Mountains near Mystras

Bherna listens to Elia's concerns. "If I go to Mystras, I have to go with Melstrome (Jynn's Pegasus) for protection. He is more powerful than any of the guards here, and that's saying a lot." She then turns to Aqua and takes in her words. "I wish I could end my fears. But I........." She pauses. Tears start to flow down her cheek. ".........But I accidentally fried my father's wings during a training lesson......." Bherna then collapses into tears. "I didn't mean to......"

Rabiyu - Jynn's abode
The HIgh Elf kept her eyes on the Prince for a little while. It wasn't interest in the man itself, nor was it anything worth mentioning. His authority, or that of his mother, meant nothing to her and yet there was something that was making her feel slightly uneasy. She could also hear the voice of Baxter saying her name, and as she did, she turned around to look at the man in the eye.
"What an open book you are," She said to herself, "Easy to read his heart's desire."
Without another word Rabiyu followed Yevgeni and Alicia. There was job to be done and they had to be quick if they hoped to stop the coming storm.

Aeternum Siblings, Helios and the Stranger - near Avarice
"This is great." Aurion said, "Really great!"
Aura finally calmed down and rejoined the group.
"So we got another one, uh?" Aura asked, "Another one of the King's experiments."
Aurion slowly nodded and looked at the Stranger.
"Nice to meet you, Master Skid," Said Aurion, "My name is Aurion Aeternum."
The older Sibling said while turning his head.
"And this is my sister Aura," He said while pointing at her, "And that other one is Helios."
Aura then nodded and looked between Helios and Gelabrous.
"A pleasure, but I'm sure that you already know about Helios."

- Lord Raiden, conversing with an informant in his villa -

Raiden tossed a secret glance at Alastor, catching his commentary and his action.  He was a uniquely impressive man, having many aces up his sleeve, and Raiden only rarely found him off-guard.  Looking back at Neena, he weighed her questions on a mental balance.  She was bold and fearless to ask him about such matters so bluntly, but that trait was greatly admirable and deserved some level of truth.  He performed a hidden search magic beforehand, just in case, and the search came up empty.  They were alone and their conversation unheard by anyone beyond those in the room.

"I admit," Raiden started out, "that men under my employ have been seeking entry to Isopolis, but they were turned away by its sanctioned guardians and are now back in Mystras.  I crave answers to a great mystery, one which you may know of, and to obtain them I am seeking one who is on or will arrive soon at the isle."

He smiled and swung out his hand to the girl, the gesture not offering but commanding.

"Your turn, informant.  What does this group plot, and why the swap of information, especially directly?  Rumours are rumours, and rarely does one dwell on them long enough to invade a ruler's premises."

Midnea - On Phoenix ship  - Overworld

Meanwhile Midnea was interrupted by Raleigh’s unexpected outburst which caused many to look up above in shock or disbelieve to seeing the gateway to the overworld open up & become visible to all within sight. Midnea however was hardly phased by such a sight & instead just felt a surge mix of annoyance & hatred thinking only about the past & what it brought her to. But her thoughts were taken away when king Alderon scooped her up into his arms spinning her around in joy & excitement until he put her down & kissed her hand. "Y-y-your w-welcome my k-king." spoke Midnea in a rather staggered voice as she was slightly embarrassed but felt thrilled to have her king give her such attention & thankful words. Midnea's thoughts at this moment were all fuzzy as she couldn't really think about anything except the way her king held her in his arms spinning her with joy. It took some time for Midnea to regain her composure while the ship made its way through the gateway, it grew awfully dark as they made their way through. The knight in red held up a lit kerosene lamp near Midnea which was just enough light for the king & the captain to see around themselves too. Soon the flying Phoenix ship was sailing back on strange waters with 2 hidden figures coming into sight as the ship slowed down to dock "...to think we need their help sickens me." spoke Midnea under her breath as she eyed the 2 unknown figures.

- Raleigh Marin, aboard the Phoenix airship and within the Overworld -

Raleigh smiled at the compliment given to her by the king, pleased as punch at the admiration of her qualities, even though her strength may have been thoroughly overestimated.

"Absolutely, my liege.  You can count on me for aid anytime, given the price is right," she replied to him with a playful grin.

As he walked off she observed everything from her scenic view.  She felt rather sickened by the thought that Midnea was getting attention soon after herself, but she distracted her thoughts with the world above her very head.  Soon enough it encompassed her view, the underside of the shorn earth blocking almost all light, and her eyes stayed open all the while.  She wanted to not even miss a moment to blink.

The airship soon changed course from up to down and descended to the water below, landing smoothly and converting into that of a normal ship.  Raleigh could only marvel at her circumstances.  Here she was, soon to step foot on ground foreign to her except in her wildest dreams.  Her greatest aspiration was becoming a reality, a bit wetter than she expected from the dank caves, but no less breathtaking.

It took her a moment to snap out of her reverie, but she caught wind of the two awaiting figures, neither one of them seeming too unfazed by their arrival.  Her pupils shrank at the sight of the masked individual, immediate distrust flowing from her, but the other gave her a strange sense of calm that clashed with his dark appearance.  A hand reached for her crossbow.  If either meant trouble, she thought about sending a heavy bolt or two into their chests.

- The Infiltrator, currently greeting the newcomers of the Phoenix airship within the depths of Isopolis -

The masked individual beamed with accomplishment, a simper nestled deep beneath his mask as he stood on the docks.  The area around him was modestly lit by the kerosene lamps, and it was only a moment of time before the first humans in millennia stepped foot on the Overworld.  Truly exciting it was, had he not recognised one of the individuals standing on the ship:  Midnea.

"It's her," he muttered under his breath, forgetting that Soran was nearby and probably able to hear him.  He caught himself and turned toward the fey of darkness.  "My good fellow, we are witnesses and bearers to a new chapter of history," he commented dryly.  "Smile.  They'd like that."

Baxter / Midnea: Baxter - Jynn's house within a mountain near Mystras / Midnea - On Phoenix ship  - Overworld

"So Rabiyu holds your magic lamp?" said Baxter as he turns his head to look at Rabiyu. "To think this genie Rufus's lamp is actually with one of our own traveling companions is a stroke of luck for sure. But like the all powerful genie said, I should take my time to think over what kind of wish I really want before asking if I can borrow his magic lamp from Rabiyu." thought Baxter as he just stared at Rabiyu a little while longer before turning his attention back to the genie Rufus. "I'm sure you'll learn alot from traveling with us genie Rufus & being friends with a genie is itself a wish come true." said Baxter with a big smile on his face. Baxter then turns to Jynn "So prince Jynn, if Yev, Alicia & Rabiyu are heading to Mystras first what are the rest of us to do? are we to take a different route to Mystras? You must know I'll follow you anywhere you go prince, as if anything were to happen to you on this mission I don't think I could return to face Queen Shiva's shattered heart." said Baxter curious to know what the next step is.

Jynn Venas-In his abode in the Mountains near Mystras

Jynn nods back at Yevgeni. "That will be much appreciated." He then hears Baxter's concerns regarding the next move. "We need to stay put, see what develops. - Rufus Contralto, with Baxter and the remaining members of Jynn's party -

The addle-pated djinni looked at everyone in a bout of confusion, equally unsure with Baxter as to what was going to happen.

"This logic befuddles me.  Were you not in a hurry beforehand, and concurrently everyone else is to pause and wait for development of events?" Rufus spoke up, his voice perhaps a little too quiet to be accredited by the Overworld prince.  He shook his head.  Commands are commands, he thought, and some fruit can be gathered at this tame time.  "Baxter, my new friend," he vocalised, turning to the dragonling, "it seems we have much time on our hands!  Shall we explore and enjoy the sights, or may I pick thy brain on some subjects.  One of these subjects is that of elephants, a massive grey beast with colossal tusks of ivory.  Do they have any here?  How about turkeys, gobbling things that cross roads and attack wayward travelers whilst trying to cross roads?"

-Arthur, onboard The Pheonix as it arrives to the Overworld-
Arthur's eyes glistened in amazement as he saw everything happen around him. As the ship entered into the entrance that stood in the sky, quickly covering them in darkness, Arthur's head followed the sight of the ceiling, looking back at the source of light until it faded as they proceeded on. His heart raced, palpitating ever so loudly within his chest, he could hear the blood rush to his ears as the lamps were lighted to give much needed light. The sound and smell of fresh water reminded him that he wasn't dreaming. It was real. This was real, and he was experiencing it. All of it. He looked down to see the water with the limited light they had, stretching his arm down as he felt the small splashes of water that rose as the ship glided down. The mix of feelings he felt couldn't have a word of its own. Arthur snapped his head up as he heard the King's orders, and his eyes landed on the shadowy figures that were waiting for them. Whoever they were, they were there to guide them, and even as the ship docked, Arthur couldn't have felt more nervous. Everything was slowly escalating to be more and more...wondrous, extraordinary, and utterly amazing. For a moment he looked at his king and thought to himself to be so lucky to live in the same timeline. So lucky to be part of this as a whole. Though he continued to pinch at himself, reminding himself that he also had a duty as a knight, to keep the king safe, where anything to happen. Arthur walked closer to the other side of the ship to see the figures a bit better. He smiled, his eyes glistening as he got his hands to his heart in hopes of keeping it from bursting out of his chest. "You truly are an amazing man, your majesty." Arthur complimented out of awe.

-Helios, with the Aeternum siblings and Gel, near the road into Avarice-
Helios blinked a few times. He almost gasped and reached out to scream at the man for cutting himself, but as he watched, he couldn't help but to be in amazement as it healed on its own, only leaving a trace of blood behind where the injury once stood. Helios eyed at the man, then down at his hand again. He was actually, rather impressed. He had known that mixing the blood of a Fey and human through artificial means meant either death, or extraordinary results, and yet as well as he knew that it was all part of a terrible plan to create living weapons, that it had caused painful deaths and lives, he couldn't help but to be amazed by well, how much it changed the humans that went through it. He walked closer, carefully taking his hand with one and gently pressing where the wound was with his other. It truly had healed. "Do our blood really do this kind of thing?" Helios whispered to himself. He quickly shook his head. No. No no. This was the unnatural way. Even if it brought amazing benefits, it brought much more pain and death along with it. "I think we know who you are talking about. We are hoping to meet him here, actually." Helios explained as he quickly let go of Gel. "I am not like you." Helios said, though that was mostly to himself to remember that he was never meant to be on this earth in the first place. That he should have never left. But well, too late for that now isn't it? "I'm one of the Fey they used to get blood for the experiments...I am sorry that it happened to you." Helios added. It wasn't his fault, he never meant for any of it to happen. To be tortured, drained of blood, experimented on, and used as a fuel line for awful experiments against his own subjects. But he still felt a tug of guilt in there. How odd that he had found not one, but two in a row that had been escaped experiments of Alderon. This had to be destiny bounding stuff around. "We kind of...escaped too." Helios added, rubbing his wrists unconsciously as he took a few steps back to be alongside the siblings once more.

-Morana, at a home among ruins-
The last thing Morana expected was to be offered tea by a Spriggan. But apparently, that is what was happening right now. After talking it out, the terrifying looking Spriggan actually ended up offering her some tea, to which Morana accepted. Now she sat in a more modern part of the ruin, a cottage seperate and sitting in the middle of the ruins themselves on a clearing. The cottage itself made out of wood, bricks, and tree roots, all while resting against a giant tree that provided shade. It was modernly decorated, with furniture and so on. As she sat on the table, she thanked the Spriggan and drank the tea, which she was sure was more like seventy percent made out of honey than actual tea. At least Spriggans couldn't smell, she thought, or if he could, at least he was handling the smell of death from her better than other people. "I'm sorry for wondering in. I got curious." Morana said, drinking some more of the tea. The Spriggan simply huffed, gently setting down the teapot. It was notable that this Spriggan had been practicing to put things down...gently. "Oh!" A new voice spoke up, causing Morana and the Spriggan to turn their heads to the door. There stood a Fey, holding a large bucket of water. She was tall with darkened skin and silver hair that was messily picked up in a bun, her eyes an icy blue. "I didn't know we had guests." The Fey spoke, smiling softly. "I am Uriel."

--Elia Cabret -- Mountain Home outside Mystras--

It was good to see a response come from her friend, though she did wonder why Aqua had seemed so troubled.  She had wanted to inquire more, but was unable to when the young fey in front of her broke down into a fit of tears.  When had things become so emotional around here all of the sudden, anyway?  Elia was really the wrong fey for this.

"Aww, calm down, Bherna.  Everything is okay!"  That certainly did explain the lack of Jynn's wings, and why he seemed to have something hidden but never go into detail.  "Your father is a great man.  I'm sure he knows that it was an accident."

Elia glanced over toward Aqua, as though imploring her for help in calming this child down.  She timidly rested a hand on Bherna's back and rubbed it soothingly.  "Parents love their kids unconditionally.  He still loves you for what had happened, and, while I haven't known you for long, I know you wouldn't do something like this on purpose."

A slight frown furrowed Elia's brow, as another matter began puzzling her about the story.  "But, Bherna, I'm slightly confused: didn't your dad try to find a healer to fix his wings?  Are they, well, gone for good now?"

--Queen Shiva -- Private Dining Saloon in Kilkis Seres--

The queen's amber eyes narrowed slightly, shifting uncomfortably in her seat.  There was something so sincere about Eclaire, so kind, and something Shiva found so relatable to.  Had it only been the workings of the succubi within the rose-haired woman?  Was all of it a facade?  A sigh escaped Shiva as she sat back, placing her glass of wine down in front of her.  "It may seem that you are powerless over the succubus within, but I am sure you're not.  It's exercising such restraints that you must practice, or else such craving surely will destroy you."

There was something that unnerved Shiva about Eclaire, though she couldn't quite place what it was.  Was it their similarities, or their gentle nature?  Both seemed to have suffered, that much was true, and there was something about Eclaire that put Shiva at ease, which only made the queen all the more nervous.

At this the queen rose from her seat, avoiding Eclaire's gaze as she spoke.  "Forgive me, but there are some things which I must tend to.  I must see if my son has learned anything about our problems from the South, and also inquire with my guards in Isopolis."  Finally she turned her gaze onto Eclaire, now standing directly alongside her.  She brought a hand to the woman's chin, tilting her head up to meet her gaze.  She brushed a chilled finger along Eclaire's jawline before murmuring, "Just give yourself time to heal.  You will conquer this, and you will go on to accomplish many great things.  Perhaps . . . a companion who you can share life with is what you need, but only you can help yourself with that."

She released her chin, giving her shoulder a pat before heading toward the door.  "Once you are through Fiona here will take you to your room.  You will find fresh new clothes in there as well."

--Alderon Niles and Curvis Sourati -- In the depths of the Isopolis Shrine--

The king rubbed Midnea's cheek softly with a gloved hand before moving away, approaching the railing as he watched the Phoenix approach the shadowed figures slowly.  Finally the ship came to a halt, and the staff began to lower the sails and extend the ramp for their departure.  The king, very distracted by their arrival, only slightly heard Arthur's compliments and excitement about the new world.  He turned to offer Arthur a huge smile and clapped him on the shoulder.  "And you are going to help in building a new future for our people.  This is truly a moment for rejoice!"

At last the preparations for docking were complete.  The two men executing all of this bowed as they permitted King Alderon to descend first before allowing others to step foot on the new land thereafter.  Curvis, both excited and nervous, decided to allow most others to pass him first, including Lord Draksis and Midnea, before turning to Raleigh.  It seemed everyone else was receiving praise and acknowledgement about their mission . . . but he was continuously ignored.  He had further noticed Raleigh reach for her crossbow, which only lead to one thing.  "You don't trust them . . . do you?  Do you think we were really invited, or is this all bait for a greater scheme, Lady Raleigh?" he asked tentatively.

Once on the damp brick ground, Alderon wasted no time in scurrying over to the pair, seemingly unalarmed about his safety as he approached without his comrades.  "Excuse me, fine men, but would either of you happen to be Lord Raiden or his accomplices?  Perhaps you have heard of me, or at least knew of our arrival today.  I am King Alderon of the Kingdom of Sondon.  I am here on business with Lord Raiden."

This was, of course, working on the assumption that they were there waiting for him, and not some other random party.  There was something certainly foreboding about them, however, which made Alderon slightly nervous and wish for Draksis to hurry along at his side.  He glanced between both men tentatively, trying to appear both assertive, calm, and authoritative at the same time.  Any fear that crept into the king's mind was kept under wraps, or at least he so believed.

(I will post for Yev after Alicia posts).

(Alright you two had your chat. Now...)

- Maxis and Ivany - Its just a prank bro -

Shiva would not have time to attend to her duties so soon, she'd have to deal with what just happened in the courtyard, where most of the guards were stationed. A loud explosion was heard, but not one to sound threatening, no, much to the contrary, practicaly harmless. though just a prank, itch bombs, Ivany's special. Maxis and said Doctor had thrown into the courtyard, engulfing the whole place in the spores, anyone to come in contact with their skin in it, would feel and unbearable itch and the want to scratch it. The guards, any passerbies as well, itching greatly, crawling on the ground, trying to scratch their itches over all their bodies. A sight to behold.

"Damn it works look at'em go!" Maxis commented.

"Damn right, custom made by yours truly!"

"How long will it last?"

"Bout one to two hours."

"Alright, then...any plans for our next prank?"

"Yes...Though it can be one or the other, stink bombs or...real explosives this time."

"Real explosives? Oh you know me so well." Maxis commented, what the heck would they do? Well, no one but they Knew exactly. They quickly ran off as to not draw suspicion towards them, but Shiva could already get a clear picture of what happened

- Draksis - Onboard the Phoenix, docking -

"Its our job to not trust them." Draksis commented as Curvis spoke to Raleigh who was clearly on guard in case anything happened. "It makes no sense for them to scheme against us, but its only natural we're a bit...cautious." Draksis commented with a nod before walking forward,  the moment he saw Alderon asserting himself to the two individuals who greeted them Draksis's knight instincts kicked in, making him swiftly pass by Midnea, and walk close to Alderon. To Ensure the man's protection.

This didn't look like the welcoming party he, or even Alderon were expecting, his intimidating figure standing right beside Alderon as the man spoke.

"Greetings from the world below overworlders." Draksis spoke, nodding his head.

"I would bow, but I'd probably break my back doing so, im pretty old..." Draksis joked for a second with a smile.

- Alicia - grimoire wielder -

"We'l be back as soon as we can. Unless something else happens," Alicia assured her comrades as she walked alongside Yev and Rabiyu. Looking confident and eager as always, this was the time to prove herself after all. Maybe even gain some renown among Yevgeni and Rabiyu, but if she didn't...well the adventure would be clearly more than enough.

"So whats the plan, in case we find something suspicious there? Retreat and report back?" Alicia asked them, trying to chat as the journey there would take a little while.

- Alastor - The Storm wielder -

'As always, loose lipped' Alastor thought as Raiden, probably unknowingly let it slip that something was going to happen at the forbidden isle, what other isle could it have been? it was pretty obvious, thought Alastor did not object, he stood there, carefuly watching over their exchange.

His eyes widened in surprise as he felt a small...opening of magic of sorts, 'the isle?' he thought, curious for a second. He was finely in tune with magic, and the opening of the aegis was sure to let out a small wave of magic throughout the overworld, though not so much as to young fey or those with less magical power to notice, but to someone like him who was strong in such a category...it was a surprise.

Maybe now things would get interesting.

~Aqua:Jynn's Place~

Aqua shook her head. "You mustn't give up. No one is going to get anything done if they don't even try. Failing is a part of life, you are young still. I've messed up before too. Everyone has." She looks at the other two.

It was true Aqua hadn't had an easy life. Her magic wasn't always the easiest control at times and was one of many reasons she wasn't keen on fighting. Aqua patted Bherna's head. It was an odd feeling to her. Having to help cheer up someone older than herself. She giggled at it. She wasn't used to it. The feeling of helping someone to her was an odd one. Most looked down on her due to her young age and she didn't blame anyone that did.

- Raleigh Marin and the Infiltrator, within the depths of the Isopolis Shrine -

Raleigh nodded in a mutual response to Curvis' questions and Draksis' reply, her hand dancing over the grip of the crossbow tentatively and preparing to unlock the safety mechanism on it should any sort of danger arise.

"Sir Draksis is quite right.  As a guardian, being distrustful becomes almost second-nature, and it is imperative to be prepared, no matter the situation.  Of course"--a small grin darted over her features--"I've learned such safeguarding a different manner than most, but this comes of mighty help when protecting a king."

Raleigh watched as Alderon stepped up to the unknown men without showing fear, wondering if the man were completely brazen or an excellent bluffer.  The Infiltrator also watched, a confident smile beneath the facets of his mask.

"A warm welcome to you, your majesty of Sondon.  Apologies are in order for Raiden to not be present, but he expresses his wishes that you have had a safe and uneventful flight here.  Our greetings are extended to all of you, of course, especially you, my good sir," he commented with a rigid bow, first to the king and next to Draksis.  "Unfortunately, I fear that time is of the essence, as opening the cloud barrier you may have seen has some . . . negative repercussions, and the queen of our continent is sure to know of its unbarring.  We must leave swiftly as to avoid troubles.  My companion here would know of the quickest route out of here."

Eclaire Didn't know what Shiva was thinking...but as the Queen shifted, Eclaire slightly went on edge. She watched Shiva, and when the Queen avoided her gaze, Eclaire looked down. Already she could feel it shift, it change...what she said had probably ruined everything. She slumped a bit, her tension gone. There was no point...she almost had it, then the truth ruined everything. Eclaire was getting ready to stand, and leave when Shiva came to a stop. She listened quietly, before Shiva's chilled hand lifted her hand. The finger cooled her skin...it felt...a bit safe.

"...I've given myself much time..." She trailed off. "...And no one wants to love a mistake." She watches Shiva leave, before standing. Turning to Fiona, Eclaire bows slightly. "I put myself in your care then, Fiona."

Neena ~ The Zealot ~ Mystras; Raiden's Home

So he was indeed dealing with the Isopolis, seeking entry. That would not lead to a place she wanted. Opening the cloud cover would only lead to more strife, more pain, more trouble. firetrucking idiot... Neena didn't know what Raiden's goal was, only that he wanted to "solve the mystery". That wasn't specific enough for Neena's taste. But, this was the deal. "Only fair." She said begrudgingly, flicking her fingers a little nervously. She looked to Alastor, who seemed to have sensed something. She paid attention, and the disturbance became clear to her too... She didn't know what it meant, nor did she have time to investigate. Focus now. "It doesn't plot much Lord Raiden. Come here and find out exactly what I did. Except, I think if you tell them what you told me they might react a bit more... physically. They come on orders of Queen Shiva, and the leader is her son Jynn. They also have Yevgeni, the Lady of the Mists, a traveling mage, and a few other minor Fey. I can tell you more about them if you wish, but it'll cost you. Besides, if your attack dog here is half as powerful as he is gloomy and intimidating, they should be no problem." Neena began to move away. The trade had gone as she'd hoped; peacefully. But the answer she'd gotten was not what she wanted. What Neena had been hoping was that Raiden had nothing to do with the Underworld, that Shiva was mistaken and that lives would be lost because of it. "Lord Raiden, I ask directly because directly is how I do things. I want to ensure that the humans stay below and the Fey stay above. I'm beginning to think that you do not share that belief."

Gel ~ The Farmer ~ Avarice; Road Into

Gel was taken aback by one of the siblings, when they'd addressed him as Master Skid. He couldn't shake his head fast enough. "No no please don't. Gel is fine, really. I'm not a master of anything really. Honestly," Gel gestured generally towards the equipment of the Aeternums. "You look far more capable than I am. Just because I'm a little tougher doesn't mean anything if I can't hurt anyone else." It felt odd to say things like that. Like hurting people was a good thing, like a skill he wanted to have. He wanted none of it. He wondered why he had engaged with these three. He could have continued onto Avarice, escaped into the fields and lived an easy life. But... Well, he couldn't leave behind someone like him. Even if... Wow, this guy was the Fey? Well then. "Oh well that's neat. I didn't even think about that... You live up in the sky don't you? How are we going to get you back up there?" Gel wondered out loud. Helios apologized sheepishly, and Gel waved him off. "It's not your fault that your blood causes excruciating pain and nearly killed me. Honestly I'd rather put the blame on King Alderon for putting it in me in the first place, though if he apologized I don't know if I would take it seriously. Anyway, not your fault. Don't apologize for your blood."

Jynn Venas and Bherna Lao-In their abode in the Mountains near Mystras

Bherna faces Elia with tears running down her cheeks. "He knows I didn't mean to. But I still feel guilty." She then faces back to the ground. "I don't know if he can grow his wings back." Jynn hears Bherna's cries and runs outside to find her on the ground crying. He then runs up to the young fey and comforts her. "What's wrong Bherna?" She looks up in suprise and hugs Jynn tightly, digging her face in his chest. "I'm still thinking about the accident Daddy. I feel horrible." Jynn pats her head gently. "It was an accident, sweetheart. I am not mad at you." Jynn tries to change the subject and looks at Elia and Aqua. "Have you made new friends?" Bherna looks up and nods.

--Fiona and Shiva-- Kilkis Seres--

The blonde maid seemed surprised that Eclaire had offered her a bow, causing her to bite her lip nervously.  "R--right, milady.  I will show you to your room, and you may pick out your wardrobe."  The young woman scurried off, assuming that Eclaire would be right behind her.

"I do not know if Her Majesty informed you," Fiona began, leading Eclaire down a royal-blue-carpeted hall," but I have been appointed as your handmaid while you are here in Kilkis Seres.  If there is anything that you require, milady, anything at all, I will be at your beck and call."

They finally arrived in a room at the end of the hall, and my was it done up nicely.  Fine rose-colored curtains hung upon a rather large window, blocking out the sun perfectly but could be drawn to let a fair amount of sunshine in.  A king-size canopied bed sat in the center of the room, the coverings and pillows looking rather plush that a person could sink within them.  A long rack could be seen on one side of the room, filled with a vast array of clothing in multiple sizes.

"We guessed upon your size, milady," Fiona explained as she gestured to the clothing rack.  "You will find the finest silks of Kilkis Seres here, but we also brought you a variety.  The Queen explained that you are not of this region, and she did not want you to feel uncomfortable."

There were dresses aplenty, as well as skirts, shirts, pants, and some rather modern and intricate getups.  Eclaire would certainly have much to choose from.  Finally the maid turned to the rose-haired woman with wide, slightly nervous eyes, as she fidgeted with her apron uncertainly.  "Is there anything else I can do for you, milady?"

----

Shiva hadn't made it very far down the hall when screams pierced through the air of the courtyard upon the massive booming sound that echoed throughout the entire palace.  A deep frown furrowed the queen's brow as she darted over to the window in alarm.  It could not be an enemy, not this soon, and not quite so conspicuous, either.  She leaned forward and peered out into the courtyard, and a deep sigh escaped her as she caught a glimpse of who was involved.  Her favorite duo--the mad duo--apparently was at it again, though goodness knew what they were up to this time.

She seemingly glided down the spiral staircase that led to the main foyer, making a turn and opening both french doors into the courtyard.  "What in the world has just happened out here?!" she cried out, though everyone appeared to be in too much misery to respond.  One fey moaned and fell to the ground right before her, itching his sides and rolling in agony.  There was no sight of Ivany or Maxis, but the queen was not entirely inexperienced when it came to those two and their antics.

The question now was whether to stop them or not.  It had, after all, been over a millennia since the two had been reunited.  What kind of a queen would she be if she didn't allow them to have at least a little bit of fun?

--Yevgeni Malachite -- City of Mystras--

The trio had been trekking through the mountains for what seemed like ages.  Yevgeni could not speak for the others, but his body was entirely sore.  Even fey were not invincible to the elements, nor the endless physical activity that they were embarking on.  The two girls managed to keep up with him well, which certainly impressed him.  He'd always known that his fellow elf had a lot of potential, but perhaps he was too quick to have judged Alicia back during the ogre attack.

"We should come upon the city rather soon," Yev muttered breathlessly.  "Probably within the hour.  From there we must not give away where we are from, nor that we serve the queen.  Let us begin working on a cover story.  Rabiyu, suppose that we are brother and sister from the village that dwells in the heart of the Ambrosia Forest, and we are preparing for the wedding of your dear friend, Alicia."

Sure, this cover story might not have been heavily supported--or even well-received--by Rabiyu or Alicia, but it was the first and most believable idea that came to the elf's mind.  Or, at least somewhat believable, considering Rabiyu and Yevgeni hardly looked a thing alike.

"And to answer your question, Alicia," Yev said finally, perhaps thirty or forty minutes after Alicia begged the question.  "Our plan is to take action as we see fit once we find something out.  The queen and prince have their noble intentions, but they are too slow.  If something is happening it will happen immediately, not in weeks after we've already sniffed their trail.  If we find that Raiden is indeed up to something I intend to stop him by any means necessary.  Surely the two of you understand or at least mildly agree."

That clearly was not what Jynn had in mind, especially about remaining low key, but he had sent Yevgeni on this mission, and unsupervised at that.  Yevgeni had a mind and will of his own.  While he would at times remain loyal to his cause, he was not one to meekly obey.  That was not in his vocabulary, and it certainly wouldn't be then.

The hills became less steep, and the trees began to thin.  A thick brick wall could be seen a short distance away, and the bright-colored turrets of tall buildings loomed into view.  At last they had arrived.  Things were going to come to a head.

One way, or another.

--Alderon Niles and Curvis Sourati -- Isopolis Shrine--

It brought the king a rather large amount of relief when Draksis appeared at his side.  Two against two would be much better than the king solo, and the others slowly began to descend from the Phoenix as well.  Curvis gestured toward the stairs, nodding at both Arthur and Raleigh.  "After you two," he said, bowing slightly before taking up the rear, descending the steps of the flying machine.  The flight had been magical to the young man, though he had expected the Overworld to be a little more . . . overwhelming than its current state.

A large smile stretched the king's lips, causing the wrinkles around his eyes to become more pronounced.  The Infiltrator seemed polite enough, and equally as delighted to meet him as Alderon was to arrive.  The king was sharp, however, and didn't miss a beat of what the Infiltrator had to say.  "Ah, so this would be the Queen that is unaware of our presence?  Does she pose a great threat to us, most specifically our safety?  I would like to remind you that we are but mere humans of the world below and possess no means of retaliating.  Lord Raiden assured me of safe passage to his village and to convene with him about future arrangements.  I trust that you are the two which shall deliver us to His Lordship?"  The king's tone was polite, but it did carry an air of expectancy.

--Elia Cabret -- Mountain home--

It would seem that Jynn was trying to cover up the discussion of his wings, but Elia would not let this slide, not quite so easily.  "When did this happen, Prince Jynn?" she asked him, still sitting on the ground.  "If it was recent enough, perhaps a true healer may help you.  Does Queen Shiva know?"

How could she not know?  Elia asked herself, now feeling rather stupid.  She turned to Aqua and nodded.  "Thank you for trying to help.  I think we did the best we could to soothe her."  The raven-haired fairy rose from the ground and stretched.  The sun was now starting to set, and the rumbling within her stomach reminded her that they hadn't eaten all day.  Which also reminded her . . . that they had a villa to go infiltrate.

"So, uh, Prince Jynn?  When exactly are we heading to Mystras, anyway?  I know we were here to rest, but shouldn't we be leaving kind of soon?"

Eclaire - Palace of Kilkis Seres

Eclaire followed the scurrying maid, having to force herself to focus on her blonde hair and not...elsewhere. Shiva's actions had stirred hunger, and she was trying to focus on Fiona. Being told she now had a handmaid was...weird. She never had been one of any status, instead lingering in the spot between "mistake" and just plain dirt. Having a handmaid...made her feel way too important. She never had any form of servant, and...

"If there is anything that you require, milady, anything at all, I will be at your beck and call."

Anything? Some life energy...Eclaire thought, nintey percent joke, ten percent hunger. She kept focused after that, and when she stepped into the room..well...she kind of stumbled. Like, if she didn't keep her weapons in a sort of magical pocket dimension, she seriously would have dropped them. She had a handmaid, a room she had seen belonging to real nobles, not mistakes...and the most comfortable looking bed she had ever seen. She slowly walked over, and fell forward.

"Oh goddess."

If there was a heaven on overworld it literally was this bed. Eclaire had never felt a bed so plushy, so soft, so comfortable. Not even the noble she had accidentally devoured life energy from had such a bed. No, she sighed, so content she nearly forgot she could change. Getting up, she browsed the rack before choosing a shorter dress that barely grazed her knees. She then, without shame, began to undress to change. Fiona could see the scars on her back, including one that was far worse, closer to her heart. She didn't turn around though, until she was dressed. it had a deeper V neck, though lace was tied across it. She then looked at Fiona...and slowly walked over.

"There is only one thing I need." She said quietly. One hand on the maid's shoulder, and one caressing her face, Eclaire got way too close. "I apologize." She pressed her lips to Fiona, and counted to five. In those five seconds, Fiona would feel as if something was leaving her body...something that made her slightly exhausted. But after contact was broken, it started to fade, Eclaire turning and moving away very quickly. "I need nothing else. Please take whatever time you can off, and enjoy yourself." She brushed a hand over the bed. "...I will be fine alone."
