Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted October 2, 2016 --Yevgeni Malachite-- Jynn's abode in the Mystras Mountain Range-- The blond listened as his companions gave their verdict, though was unable to comment upon the arrival of the prince himself. Yev spun on heel to make eye contact with Jynn, who seemed at least a little indifferent by their gathering. He cocked a brow quizzically. “Yes, Your Highness? Is there something that we may assist you with?” Apparently they were in the wrong room to attempt making plans. Baxter, another accompanying fey, had managed to find his way into their room, making himself a comfortable place on the floor where he eyed Rufus with awe and fascination. At this the blond merely shook his head. Some people were just far too satisfied with the simplicities in life that they would not concern themselves with the greater picture, or at least this is how Yev viewed it. “We’ll talk more later,” Yevgeni reassured Alicia and Rabiyu, giving them a swift nod. “Right now I have a headache that requires my attention.” As he brushed past them he murmured softly in the direction of Jynn: “If you need anything I will likely be in one of the rooms of the west wing resting. But I am sure that you have everything under your control.” --Elia Cabret – Jynn’s abode in the Mystras Mountain Range— A series of nightmares caused the fairy to sit bolt upright, her heart pounding ferociously in her chest. She glanced out the window, whose curtains were parted slightly. A dim light shone from between them. Apparently night had not yet befallen, which was surprising considering that they were up in the mountainside. Everything in the hall was now silent, with the exception of clicking boots and a door closing outside. She leaned back into her pillows, clutching one nervously to her chest. She should feel safe, and yet she did not. Why did she have the horrible feeling that they were about to face something entirely destructive? Carefully the fey set her pillow aside and climbed out of bed, dressing into some warm, soft clothes provided by a servant—whom she figured must have entered whilst she slept. She tiptoed out of the room and started down the hall, hoping to find a trace of one of her friends. If they seemed fine she would likely have nothing to worry about, or so she thought. She opened one of the doors to the backyard, which provided a beautiful display of gardens and greenery. Not too far to her left she saw her friend Aqua, who was engaging in conversation with a young girl. She had never seen this child before and was certain she was not of their companions. How did she find them, and what could she possibly want with Aqua? Elia took a few steps closer, enough to make her presence known without interrupting. --Everyth – Prisons in Sondon— The mage soldier listened as Henry gave his side of the story, unable to help but nod at his explanation. As much as she wished to deny it, she knew that there would be no fair trial for him. The king would take much glee in brainwashing and manipulating Henry to his side, perhaps once more experimenting upon his first subject to find even better means for him to serve his cause. No, Henry had every right to be afraid, especially if he did not return quietly and with open arms. Everyth began to open her mouth to respond, but found that the opportunity to do so had been ripped from her. A wall of rocks had emerged between Henry and the two female soldiers, making contact—or communication—incredibly difficult. What happened beyond the wall was left to her imagination, but from the slams, grunts, and screams she could only paint a lone picture of things not going so well. The black knights surrounding them seemed at a loss of what to do, and Everyth, frankly, was shocked and too much in awe to begin dictating orders. Effie seemed to be the first to snap from her daze, giving command to the other knights on plausible other exits. As Effie began to tell Everyth a course of action to take the dark mage merely laughed. “Are you truly telling me what to do, Effie? I know you are respected, and you have some knights under your own hand, but that doesn’t mean that you can begin giving orders to another commander. Also, those entrances of which you speak are too far away. Entrance F is going to be through the palace itself; Henry is going to be long gone before we get anyone out of here.” She stole a glance around the dungeon, which was almost completely devoid of soldiers at this point. “Well done, Henry . . . for now. You have proven yourself to me today, but don’t think this is over. We will come face to face on the battlefield again, and next time you won’t be able to summon a wall to keep me from you.” She brushed her dark ebony locks over her shoulder, before striking her palms together. A dark violet aura covered her body, its light pulsating periodically. Everyth then charged in the direction of the plausible exit, with speed much unlike her own. While she could move at heightened speeds periodically, the side affects of such use would catch up with her later. --Shiva – Kilkis Seres— The queen had led them into the palace itself, which was adorned with sapphires and crystal spheres everywhere. The floor seemed to be made of ice itself, seeming cold to the touch and yet providing more traction than that of ice. A maid dressed in a short black dress and white apron approached them, her ice-blue hair pulled back in a ponytail. She curtsied to the queen and her companions, before muttering, “Welcome back, Your Majesty. Is there anything that I can get you?” “Yes, Ava, please see to this fine gentleman’s suit of armor getting polished. It is well overdue. Have Ivan do it, if you please. He understands Maxis’ . . . special needs best.” Shiva nodded in the direction of Maxis, adding in a low tone for Maxis’ ears in particular. “Remember: be nice. I’m sure that Ivan will remember you, but there is no need to repeat history, hmm?” She did not elaborate, nor did the maid, Ava, seem to ask any questions. “Right this way, Lord Maxis,” said the maid, voice chipper, as she began to steer him up a flight of stairs to the chambers where this “Ivan” awaited him. This left Eclaire and Shiva alone, or as alone as one could be in the foyer of the Kilkis Seres palace. There were other fine ladies and gentleman doing all sorts of things within the room. A couple of fairies were flying midair to clean a chandelier, while another pair hung new paintings. All of this seemed to disinterest Shiva, who extended a cold and pallid hand to Eclaire. “And now, let us have you fed. Come with me to the dining hall. I would like to learn a little more about you. There’s something about you that reminds me of someone that I used to know, which, forgive me, interests me just a little.” --Curvis Sourati and Alderon Niles – Aboard the Phoenix, approaching the Aegis— Excitement danced in Curvis’ eyes. Being in the clouds was truly exhilarating to him. It was a sensation that he could only dream of, not something that seemed anywhere near realistic. The ship soared through the clouds for hours, though it seemed like a much shorter duration to Curvis. It was hard to tell which direction that they were flying, making the brunet wish that he’d brought a compass. They did seem to keep changing their course, however, making Curvis wonder if even the captain and king knew where they were headed. After sights of the clouds began to bore Curvis, he began searching the deck for someone to hold a conversation with. He noticed Arthur and Draksis grouped together, discussing the marvel of their flight. “It’s really beautiful up here, is it not?” the soldier asked, resting his forearms along the side of the ship. “I hope that one day the general public will be granted access to these clouds, and the world above. I do wonder, however, why we haven’t just ascended already. It seems curious to me that we seem to be flying in circles. Does it sit ill with you two?” Meanwhile murmurs could be overheard from the helm of the ship. The king was bracing himself along a wooden post, head bent low over what seemed to be worn charts. Both himself and the captain peered at it frequently, pointing at objects on the charts before gesturing up toward the sky. Both seemed to be growing irritable and impatient as they circled around, the king’s emerald gaze studying the sky as they flew. It seemed as though there was some sort of trouble, or something amiss, though neither the king nor captain addressed this to the people aboard.

There’s something about you that reminds me of someone that I used to know, which, forgive me, interests me just a little.” Eclaire - Kilkis Seres, the Palace of Shiva - Currently trying to not snatch a noblewoman as a snack Eclaire did not feel at all like she belonged. Amongst the massive foyer. Her clothing was faded and ripped in a few places, her outfit functional and only adorned with a shoulder-mounted relic for defensive purposes. Looking around with slight nerve, she seemed to withdraw more, more and more picturing a calm, flowered meadow. There were many beautiful fey, some beyond any she had seen...but none was more beautiful than Shiva. Eclaire quickly zoned everything out, trying to remain quiet and calm. She was in somewhere that truly unnerved her - a palace. One of royalty and grandeur. She was an outcast, a wandering cry that echoed and faded from place to place. She did not feel like she belonged, and as Maxis was led away the Valkyric Succubus silently fought her lustful hunger. But then, through her self-made haze a hand outstretched. The cold, pallid hand seemed alive, vibrant with life. Eclaire looked up at Shiva, her right eye briefly watery before blinking it away. Eclaire gently took the extended hand, her own smooth despite the years, centuries of learning. Her own powers kept her smooth and soft, something she sometimes found helpful. This was one of those times. The walking contradiction of heaven and hell slowly entered a somewhat bow. "Lead the way my Queen. I will answer your questions with honesty." Rhaedyn Thane, the Last King of Ithuriel - Near Gladeus He left the city the hours ago. Alone he would usually walk, but not this time. Today, he traveled with hunters, Cyph Hunters to be precise. They had heard of a Cyph near Mystras, some bandits selling the information. They were moving there now, and while Rhaedyn heard the story, he felt there was more. He wished to know why they hunted the Cyphs...he wished to understand. Something these hunters cared not for...just gold. People he despised, but were...not wholly evil, if the Cyphs seemed as evil as they claimed.
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted October 3, 2016 - Typhon - The Last Cyph - Forest near Mystras - A few seconds of silence loomed over the campfire as Typhon hid in plain sight on the tree near the fire. It was then a...swordsman came out of the bushes...this swordsman did not look normal, not only did he smell...different, but he had jade, glowing eyes, like that of a Viper. Not only that, but what kind of swordsman carried two swords on his back? and an arsenal of bombs and potions on him at all times? The man's hair was white like that of an albino wolf, and he had a medalion hanging on his chest. Typhon was confused...but still cautious as to the man, who simply frowned. "Hey, you can stop hiding, im not going to hurt you" The man said, clearly knowing where Typhon was. As Typhon simply returned to his normal color. Typhon came out, armblades ready. "Who?" He asked. "Just a wandering swordsman looking for a place to rest the night, ogres running about...good money in this forest." The man commented with a shrug, "Mind if I sit by the campfire?" "Uh...Sure." Typhon spoke, retracting his armblade, confused as to who, and why, and most importantly why was he not being attacked? "Who are you?" "Call me...Mikhail..." The swordsman spoke, "My turn...Who and what are you?" He continued. "Im a Cyph...you don't know what I am?" Typhon asked curious. Mikhail simply shrugged off, "Well I don't dwell too much in history, even if my job is to kill monsters, you seem quite friendly so." Mikahil spoke with a smile, the voice of a gruff grown man who's been through some shit. "I see..." Typhon spoke sitting by the campfire, opposite sides of Mikhail. "You're not normal either, what are you? Fey? Elf? Or one of those from the world below?" Typhon questioned. To which Mikhail simply laughed. "Im Neither." Mikhail smoke with a smirk as Typhon was now even more confused...just who was this guy? "Whats with the twin swords?""One is steel for Feys and elves, the other is Silver" "For monsters and supernaturals?" "Both are for monsters" "And the bombs and potions?" "My body is enhanced in such a way that toxical potions that would normaly kill a fey don't kill me, but heal me, make me faster, stronger for a time...and bombs are useful regardless, I see you have quite the arsenal...biological anyway." "Yeah..." "So why are you all the way out here bug man? Shouldn't you be with your family right now? Or something?" "I...don't have a family anymore." "Species?" "Neither" "Well shi...hunted to the last one?" "Yes" "Why?" "I don't know..." "Thats rough..." The conversation continued for a time. (Im sure the name Mikhail is familiar? ) - Henry - The Dreadnaught - The Great (Loud) escape - Henry crashed through blockade after blockade of guards, shoulder charges, groundpounds, everything to knock them down without killing, he had no time to waste, taking the nearest exit, straight from the dungeons, turning right at the courtyard of the castle, running straight through soldiers and civilians alike, albeit Civilians obviously deal with a much more gentle manner. No civilians got hurt, that was a given. While running through the last soldier blockades, the royal guards trying their best to stop him, arrows, spears, everything...they just bounced off him. All the while Henry thinking about things, 'Effie...You're too Naive, And you Everyth...what the hell did Alderon do?...man...I just hope Helios and the twins arrived alright at Avarice.' Thought as he smashed through a line of soldiers, only a few more seconds and he would be out from one of the castle gates...then soon, out of the city. Mission successful. - Maxis - Living Armor - Castle - Maxis was silent throughout most of the journey back...he wasn't in thought, nor was he mad or sad...he was just too excited to get polished to speak, even more excited when he found out he was going to get polished by Ivan. A good friend of his. Quite the eccentric man too. "Oh im sure you don't mean the time when me and Ivan blew up the outer wall...pfft..." Maxis joked and shrugged, What? Ivan wanted to test a bomb he had made...And Maxis wanted to see what would happen too. "Or the time me and Ivan brought a griffin as a pet!" Maxis spoke with glee, clearly in his voice... then again, that griffin was soon released by an annoyied Shiva. Maxis went along with the maid who was told to bring him to Ivan, "Please...just call me Maxis, the word Lord doesn't fit me." Maxis spoke in an act of humbleness, but really he just didn't like being called such things. Soon, he was going to meet Ivan. And hilarity would ensue...again...yes. - Draksis - The Black Knight - Onboard the Phoenix - "Man...thank god I am not afraid of heights nor easily sick..." Draksis spoke with a relieved sigh, Noticing Curvis speaking to them, Draksis simply smirked and looked at him . "Well, for now anyway, we'l soon be above the clouds...and we'l only see blue and clouds..." Draksis joked for a second before nodding. "Aye" He pondered, "It is weird that we're going in circles, even if going up. Resting his arms on the railing. "Pherhaps we're...being guided by something?" Draksis pondered for a second. "Might sound weird what im saying, but I see no other reason to fly in circles..." Draksis spoke.
Vaude 536 Posted October 4, 2016 - Alastor - Outside of Raiden's study - (forgot where). Alastor had a good time walking from the Flowering hyssop to there, it was a pleasantly quiet and relaxing walk, specially after having free drinks and a job well done. He would have stayed more at that bar, but it was time to report back to Raiden eventualy, and this was the perfect time. Alastor, pridefuly walked over to Raiden's abode, with a loud creek of the door, Alastor looked around for Raiden. "Raiden, I have a report, I took care of the spy problem." Alastor spoke, wheter or not Raiden was there, or was going to approach him was unknown to him. - Raiden, within his villa at Mystras and within earshot of Alastor - The roar and crackle of a fireplace would strike Alastor's ears upon entering, as would the whump of a closing tome. Raiden rose from one of the two leather armchairs on the far end of the massive entry and set his book down upon an endtable. A smile was solidly plastered on his face. "Well done, Alastor," he spoke over the fire, ever impressed with the storm knight and his quick resolution of matters. "Come, my friend, sit by the fire with me. I have something to discuss with you, a time-sensitive matter, if you will." - Soran Monroe, Isle of Isopolis: Cavern - The man who did not belong did not seem all too fazed to be met with Soran diving from above, neither was he particularly opposed to revealing his intentions, a pleasant surprise for the Sentinel. This Infiltrator wished to access the deepest reaches of this forbidden land and reach the fabled Aegis, to "instill a new era of coexistence with those that dwell beneath us", suggesting that not only was this another Overworlder, but their ideals seemed...similar to his own. Soran scoffed in surprise at this, then he looked to the ceiling at the behest of his guest. "There is but one guard for the Shrine and he stands before you. No others dwell above us, I can assure you." He uttered and looked back at The Infiltrator, a small smirk extended across his face. "You and I, we share a certain prospect of unification and coexistence...how you wish to go about it however, I am forbidden to allow, by decree of Queen Shiva." Soran stated sternly, though he was having to keep any halfheartedness at bay, for he was not exactly the greatest fan of the Queen, he was merely employed for his skill and power, the latter of which began to manifest as small wisps of hell's deepest flames around his hands. "A personal request: I ask that you prove your strength to me, then we shall see how things pan out from here..." He challenged the interloper, his stance one of readiness and invitation to combat. - The Infiltrator, currently with Soran within the caverns of Isopolis - The Infiltrator looked upon the man with great interest, sizing up Soran in preparation for a fight. He seemed honest, but that bode ill. He would rather take on several weaker opponents than one strong one, and Soran seemed exactly that: strong. The semblance of unmanifested power rested on him like dust on a mantle, and if it were a full battle it might have raged for far longer than a few minutes. However, what was offered was a challenge and a proof of strength, and the Infiltrator was glad of this. "I accept these terms," he voiced, analysing still as he grew closer to the opposing contestant, "and I hope you shall see that I am no pushover." Electricity sprang to life from his hands, popping in potency, and he brought his hands together in a thunderous clap that resulted in a fast-moving bolt of lightning heading towards Soran. Thereafter, he prepared for the counterstrike. The infiltrator's arms hung away from his body, the electricity travelling up them and generating a light sheen of electromagnetic armour around the whole of his body that would nullify weaker blows and deaden others. ((This is a mimicry of Henry's shadow rock armour, sacrificing speed for physical and magical defense.)) Midnea - On Phoenix ship Midnea simply looked at Raleigh slightly narrowing her eyes to a piercing dagger stare before speaking back "I'm the king's trusted advisor assassin. Which means I have access to any & all areas on this ship... I also highly doubt your the captain of this flying machine since your appearance is clearly that of a silly assassin, but if you were the captain of this ship I'd fear for my king's safety knowing you must have little to no experience dealing with such a complex flying machine." said Midnea clearly showing no belief in Raleigh as the captain or even an assassin worthy of her king's chosen knights. Midnea then put a hand on the red knights shoulder holding onto him as the ship started to raise up from off the ground slightly shifting the ship about. Although the ship quickly stabilized, Midnea then lets go of the red knights shoulder "As for the ships sudden bump before... that was nothing to be concerned about. But in any case, why don't you make yourself useful with your exorbitant knowledge & go see to our other chosen knights. Make sure they understand the gravity of their positions as the king's chosen knights & what is to be expected of them. Now will you move aside so I may enter the room? I have preparations to make before we arrive to the new world." said Midnea sounding very much annoyed by Raleigh's attempt to mess with her, just simply being in the presence of Raleigh was starting to tick her off. - Raleigh Marin, currently on the Phoenix airship en route to the Overworld - Raleigh stifled a chuckle at Midnea's tirade, a smirk on her face almost the entire time as she maintained her position. "A silly assassin, eh? For your age you don't seem to understand the words 'silly' or 'assassin,' though I guess I pride myself in risibility. True, I am not the captain, but my expertise lies in many, many areas, especially in tight quarters. Better keep an eye out there. I can come out of the shadows and kill as easily as one draws breath. "However"--Raleigh stepped aside--"this conversation bores me, so I'll see my fellow gallant candidates as you suggested. Oh, one question before I go: why do you need to enter the room? The captain's not in right now." Baxter: Jynn's house within a Mountain - Near Mystras Baxter come down from the stairs with a very tired look on his face "I... I can't go on looking anymore." said Baxter collapsing on the floor "This house is just to much... it's like Jynn's house is some kind of maze within a maze build to test one's self in their abilities, skills & patience. I barely found my way back to the stairs I walked up. I hope Elia fairs better than me in find her way around this place since she also walked up those same stairs..." said Baxter as he lay flat on the floor. Baxter slowly looked up to see a genie floating about "No, way...is that a genie I see?" said Baxter as he quickly shot up from off the floor rushing over to Rufus at full speed. Baxter slid across as he stopped just in front of the floating genie "Hey genie! you are a genie aren't you genie? I can't believe I'm seeing a genie for the first time ever! can you grant wishes? if so how many wishes can you grant?" asked Baxter with excitement in his eyes almost like he was never tired to begin with. - Rufus Contralto, currently being ogled and questioned by a very curious individual at Jynn's abode - Rufus was rocked from his gleeful revelry of sights and sounds by an extremely eager Baxter. The chipper young Fey essentially pounced upon him in interest and excitement, and Rufus could not help but let out a prolonged frightened shriek upon the dragonling next to him. "AWAY WITH YOU, FOUL ONE!" the genie yelped, backing away frantically. It took him a few seconds before he calmed down and understood the situation, however, and he cleared his throat. "Apologies for that. I thought thou wouldst attack my bodyless, impossible-to-harm form and harm me. Ha! Silly me! The answers to your questions are yes, yes, and only one for now, but with potential for growth with sacrifice! Don't get anywhere near hippies, though. You don't want this kind of job. And who might you be again, delightfully excitable youth?"
Elrandir 783 Posted October 4, 2016 Rabiyu - Inside Jynn's abodeRabiyu watched as Rufus began to talk with Baxter."Perhaps this will keep him busy," she thought, "and it could help him learn about the overworld through his interactions with the others."The High Elf then turned around, just in time to see Yevgeni."Take care of your health, milord, " Rabiyu said, "do not overexert yourself."Perhaps the mood changed, but Rabiyu thought nothing of it, instead, she found a quiet spot away from the others, a nice single couch, all for herself. From inside her cloak she took out a golden harp. She slowly stroke each string, making a faint yet harmonious sound. In a few seconds each sound became a song instead, a calm and gentle melody. What once was ours we shan't have againOur freedom was taken abruptly and we as oneThe journey begun to our destiniesThe Gods looks down upon us as foolsThey wonder a life of mortalityYet we still pray to them for protection anonOur salvation we seek to purge sinThe salvation we seek to forgiveLa la la la Aeternum siblings and Helios, in Lyonee"Sounds about right," Aurion said while looking at the map, "Just a couple of hours and we will be at our destination."Aura then turned around to look at Helios when she saw the small animal he was playing with."Well, that's what we call a squirrel," Aura said with a smile, "The little critters are everywhere. Sometimes people keep them as pets."The older sibling nodded, trying not to laugh at Helios's reaction to the squirrel."You could keep it if you want," he said, "or if it wants to go with you."Aura looked at her brother then back at Helios."Just remember that ours is not a safe journey. Besides, we really need to hurry if we want to arrive at Avarice before Henry does."The younger Aeternum hoped that the other member of the group was safe. Stardustblade358 806 Posted October 4, 2016 -Helios & the siblings in Lyonee-Thankfully the siblings' words were able to bring Helios back from his sudden trance with the creature. He shook his head and quickly straightened up. "Right." Helios said, clearing his throat. "A Squirrel...I will remember that." Helios turned to the small creature, gently setting it back on the map board. "Until we meet again, little one." Helios said with a smile. The Squirrel seemed to chipper something to him before running off, leaving Helios with almost starry eyes. "Let us hurry then. Let's head to the exit on the other side of the town. I'll transform there and we can take off where we paused." Helios suggested, thinking momentarily of Henry. "He should be fine." He said, mostly telling that to himself. He wanted to remain optimistic on that. The man seemed more than capable of beating a few people up. He also had this sense of pride he expected of Henry. He had her blood flowing within his, after all. For now, he had these humans he needed to thank for, and he would watch over them...if they weren't the ones watching over him, that is. "I'll even be nice to you and transform into a Drake if you are nice enough to me." Helios teased as he began to walk off. As his eyes explored the city, they tended to change color. For moments he held the eyes of a hawk, aiming at small details from far away, before blinking themselves back to their normal shade of blue. He couldn't help but to enjoy his surroundings. Enjoy the beauty that was this world before he was shown its cruelty. It was almost like watching a small child, his feet jumping over cracks to avoid stepping on them, his gaze always distracted to something new all while he tried to focus on where he headed.-Morana among her group of Wendigo, along the shores of the Nymphadora Sea and heading out of Ambrosia Forest-Just because the scent of death followed them, didn't mean that they didn't have their good days. They still existed. They still lived. Even if they weren't exactly neither alive or dead. As the river came into view, they began to prepare to cross it. The large and taller ones would go first, carrying the smaller beings on their shoulders and arms. "Do we have everyone?" Morana asked. She always felt so out of place. She looked more normal than Wendigo among them. It was odd, but she lived as she did. Just as she was about to follow the group across the river, something caught her eye. The sight of ruins down the river, or what looked like it. It drew her in. "...you guys go ahead. I will follow up on your scent." Morana said. The Wendigos looked back at her, and she waved them away. "It's ok. Go ahead." She insisted. Slowly they did, crossing the river before disappearing into the darkness of the forest, only leaving the scent of death behind to let everyone know that they were there once before. Morana turned her attention to the ruins. "Maybe there's treasure there." She hummed. Where there were ruins, there usually was treasure of some kind, even if it wasn't worth much. But it also meant that there could be Spriggans guarding it. But she needed some time to think. Some time to explore. Swift on her feet, she ran off, skipping over to follow the stones up river.-Arthur, on the Pheonix's flight-"Circles?" Arthur asked as he turned listened a bit more, stepping away from the railing for a few moments. They were flying in circles? He wouldn't have noticed it. The clouds...kind of looked the same in every angle, even if some did have the shape of a bunny or a turtle. "Maybe we're waiting on something? Maybe a signal from the king or a magical door to show up...the world is suppose to be above us, right? Yet we can't see it." Arthur said, pondering a bit more. It was simply amazing to think about. This grand land, full of mystery and wonders and magic that didn't seem possible before was just at reach thanks to their powerful King. But reaching it shouldn't be as easy, he thought. Otherwise it wouldn't be as magical or as terrifying as they thought.
Elrandir 783 Posted October 5, 2016 Aeternum siblings and Helios, in Lyonee's gatesAurion immediately turned his head towards Helios, a surprised look on his face."Is there anything you can't change into?" he asked, "I mean, a drake is pretty awesome."Aura sighed and smiled."Please forgive him," she said, " My brother loves those kind of things. He should know better that dragons do not exist."The older sibling snorted and laughed."Silly sister, do you not remember my favorite story?"Aurion asked his sister, while said sister just nodded slightly."The story of the Incandescent dragon, said to be in possession of the biggest hoard known to mankind. Huge enough that you would need a thousand lifetimes to spend even a fraction of it." Aura said calmly, "But you may remember that in the end of said story the dragon flew above the clouds never to return to the realm of the mortals, taking with it a massive chunk of the land in which it hid its treasures."While talking about Helios's abilities and, to Aurion's fortune, dragons, the siblings and the fey managed to arrive at the opposite exit of the town."Oh well," Aurion said with a smile, "One day I will see a real dragon." Stardustblade358 806 Posted October 5, 2016 -Helios with the siblings, outside of Lyonee-"I can't turn into other rational beings. Such as I can't turn into any of you two, or the King, or any of my friends. Because they are unique and intelligent, and to copy such is impossible for me to replicate." Helios explained. He couldn't help but to awe at the story of the dragon and the hoard and the treasure. "I think dragosn can be found in the Overworld. However they would be hiding in the tallest mountains, rarely interacting with anyone or anything other than prey." Helios smiled as he turned to face them as he walked backwards. "Treasures can be found in the Overworld too! Though you would have to get through the guardians first. Spriggans guard buried treasures too. Dad showed me his once, but she promised me I wouldn't tell the location of it." Helios spoke. Spriggans were very grotesque creatures, usually living in ruins and guardin such treasures. They were also known as thieves and trouble makers to those who offended them. Helios' father was a Spriggan who barely stepped out of their faily home, guarding the ruins and scaring away anyone who tried to get too close. "Alright, we're here." Helios said as he stopped, looking around to make sure that no one was looking. "Hm...a Pegasus will do." Helios murmured. He clapped his hands and concentrated, and with a surrounding of smoke, he transformed into the shape of a Pegasus, white in color, its eyes blue, wings ever so huge to carry itself and anyone on him. Helios expanded his wings slightly, walking over the siblings. "Let's go." He spoke. He got the siblings on his back, and took off, flying to their ultimate destination, Avarice. Endless Thundaga 533 Posted October 6, 2016 Jynn Venas - his home in the Mountains near Mystras Jynn listens to Yevgeni's sarcastic remark. He looks out to the city. As Yevgeni sarcastically tells the prince that he'll go somewhere else, Jynn immediately assigns him a task. "I want you and Rabiyu to go to Mystras and investigate.". Jynn then turns back to the high elf. "When you arrive, make sure to keep an eye out for anything or anyone acting suspicious." Jynn then turns his back and closes his eyes. "Also, for our kingdom's sake, do not approach Raiden. If you are approached by him, do not mention Queen Shiva's concerns. We cannot afford to have another war." (Sorry for my short post, but I must focus more on the Hurricane situation. Hopefully this won't be my last post, but if it is, it was nice knowing ya'll................. jk. But do expect no activity from me for a couple days if the hurricane blows the power out.)

Sora's Baby 729 Posted October 8, 2016 ~Aqua:Jynn's backyard~ Aqua sighed lightly. "I'm Aqua." She gave the curt relpy. It was fairly clear she wasn't going to get any traing done. She rose to her feet. Her magic slowly ebbed away from her staff. She grabbed her staff. She shouldn't have know that someone would bother her. She turned to face the other. It wasn't Elia,in fact it wasn't anyone from the group. Her eyes showed brief shock. Aqua wasn't very good with people most time. This time wasn't going to any different. "What are you?" Her eyes moved around the area. She felt something odd about the person. She tilted her head. She noticed someone else was there. Her head swam with the horrid feeling again. Weather it was her fate or something worst she didn't know. "Mix of both,I guess." She thinks to herself.(Sorry,it's not much.I'm not been feeling like my writing is up to snuff.) Endless Thundaga 533 Posted October 9, 2016 Bherna Lao - her home in the Mountains near Mystras Bherna spooks at Aqua's shock, but only takes a step back. "My name is Bherna, and I'm Jynn's daughter. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you Aqua." She takes a look at Aqua's staff. She has never seen another live mage in her life, other than her father. Bherna then looks up to Aqua. "Are you here to train? My dad is an incredible teacher. He can literally figure out what you need to work on in a matter of seconds!" She then walks closer to Aqua and whispers to her. "It's been said that he learns so fast, he has the experience of a three thousand year old fey!" She then steps back and smiles. She tries to urge Aqua to follow her. Bherna then accidentally bumps into Elia and gasps, backing up. "Who are you? Are you a mage too?"
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted October 10, 2016 --Queen Shiva -- Dining Hall in Kilkis Seres-- As the two women proceeded down the hall the queen couldn't help noticing that Eclaire seemed tense and distracted. Initially Shiva thought to inquire in on the matter, but then decided against it. Everyone had the privacy of their own mind, and it was none of her business to pry. Eclaire had seemingly been through much; there was no reason to put her through more. A pair of young fey opened two grand wooden doors made of ebony wood, revealing a room beyond filled with a long grand table. At least forty chairs were tucked along one side of the table, the other side remaining blank so that no one would sit facing you. Other smaller tables were present within the room, though they seemed entirely miniscule and non-existent in comparison to the grand table. Upon entering Shiva released Eclaire's hand, bringing a finger to her cheek and tilting her head slightly. "No, this is too formal of a setting. Follow me; I believe I know of a better seating arrangement." They strolled past the splendid dining hall and to a door to the left of the room. Shiva opened it and began to ascend a flight of stairs, assuming that Eclaire would follow shortly behind her. This new room was one much smaller. Cozy and quiet. A simple chandelier hung overhead, blue flames dancing upon the candlesticks. In the center of the room sat a small table unable to seat more than four, covered trays of silver resting upon a royal-blue tablecloth. Shiva assumed one of the seats, a servant pulling her chair out from under the table for her. After Shiva was seated the blonde maid made her way over to the opposite side of the table, pulling out a chair for Eclaire to sit. "Thank you, Fiona. That will be all. We can serve ourselves from here," Shiva told her, to which the blonde nodded before excusing herself. A smile crossed Shiva's as she began to remove a lid from one of the trays, revealing an interesting dish that appeared to be meat, onions, and gravy. "I do hope that you enjoy 'human' food. This is a recipe of old from the human world that I have been absolutely addicted to. They do have a way in the kitchen, I must admit to that." She poured some on her plate before slicing herself some bread. "Now, Eclaire, if you don't mind my asking: are you . . . afraid of me?" --Yevgeni Malachite -- Jynn's home in the mountains-- The blond blinked several times after the prince spoke, not truly hearing his words for at least several seconds after he'd spoken them. "My lord?" he said quizzically, glancing to the others. Had Jynn somehow overheard . . . ? No, that could not be possible, but the sudden change in motives had Yev a little more than suspicious. "Is everything alright? Why the change in plans? What about the rest of your team? Of course I would gladly proceed to Mystras. It's just I thought, well"--Yev scratched the back of his neck, searching for the appropriate words--"surprised. I thought you wanted to be the first to set foot within Mystras' walls." The blond's gaze met with Rabiyu. Yes, the elf would be a fine companion. He'd seen her in combat, and she'd proven herself to be one he could easily entrust his life to. There was also Alicia. While certainly stuck-up, rude, and arrogant in Yev's humble opinion, she was great when fighting the ogres, and he couldn't help wishing that she could come along in like. "Also, with your blessing, Prince Jynn, I would like to request the companionship of Alicia as well. Should things go awry I feel we could use the additional backup, if you please." Not that he intended anything to go awry. He had a pretty good idea what was going on, and what they would need to do. It looked like they were going to get what they had wanted after all, without having to sneak behind Jynn's back. --Elia Cabret -- Backyard of Jynn's house-- Elia threw out her arms so that young Bherna wouldn't lose her balance, though the young fey seemed pretty capable of handling herself. A smile stretched across Elia's lips as she waved playfully at the fey. "Uh, hey, I was just stopping by. I saw you talking to my friend so I had wanted to say hello. I don't know if you'd really call me a 'mage,' but I can use magic if that's what you mean." Elia raised a brow, curiosity dancing in her eyes. How could the fey not have met a mage before? Their world was filled with magic everywhere! Unless . . . . "You must be Prince Jynn's daughter, aren't you?" Elia asked. "Do you . . . get visitors often, or do you ever get to leave this place?" Could she be a captive here, or imprisoned? That was the only rational thought that Elia could come up with, but even then it was debatable on whether this thought was truly rational. (Nothing for me to really do with Curvis and Alderon yet, so I will await for Wednesday before posting for them)
Elrandir 783 Posted October 10, 2016 Rabiyu - Inside Jynn's abodeThe High Elf had kept playing her harp while the Prince and Yevgeni talked. Something was not right, the Prince's orders didn't made sense, not with what he had said before."I do not think that the change in the Prince's orders are important," Rabiyu said while still playing her harp, "What is important is that we make haste."In a quick movement Rabiyu stood up and her harp vanished in a black mist."And I agree with Lord Yevgeni, Your Highness," She said, "Alicia should come with us. I am sure we could use her help."They had wasted precious time, something they had to fix."We must hurry up. We have wasted enough time here."Aeternum siblings and Helios, flying towards AvariceAurio was smiling once again."This is so exciting!" he said, "Are you ready, sis?"Meanwhile Aura was once again holding her brother."...No...", she said, "I'm not reaahhh!"And just like that, they were on the air once more. Aurion enjoyed being in the sky, Aura on the other hand was afraid of heights ever since they were young, she had suffered an accident in her childhood."Don't worry, Aura," Aurion said softly, "You're not going to fall, and if you do I'm here, and so is Helios."Aura just nodded without saying another word, she trusted her brother, and Helios too, but she didn't dared to open her eyes."I know," she said after a few seconds, "and I trust you. I just don't want to look. Just tell me once we are close to Avarice."
Endless Thundaga 533 Posted October 10, 2016 (edited) Jynn Venas-in his abode in the Mountains near MystrasJynn turns his back to Yevgeni. He had a feeling that Yevgeni might ask of the prince's antics. "My mother's plans are not always successful and well received, as some of you might know. She most likely believes that if I sit on top of a mountain, meditate and heighten my senses, that I'll pinpoint the EXACT location and identities of the traitors and everything will be easy peasy." Jynn turns his head back to the group. "Unfortunately, unknown to her, nobody has the power to posses that much focus. I can only sense auras and movement. The identities and location of the traitors are far beyond my comprehension." He faces back forward after hearing the high elf's question about Jynn himself wanting to be the first to Mystras. He chuckles. "I would love to be the first one there, but I shouldn't. It would be unwise to have Raiden on high alert after seeing me, if he is a traitor." The prince then turns back to Yevgeni with his hands behind his back. "That's why I need you to go to the city to investigate."He then listens to Yevgeni's request to bring Alicia along, to which Jynn accepts. "You take whoever you need assistance from Yev." Rabiyu suggests that she goes as well, along with making haste with the mission. Jynn then nods. "Alright, alright. Make haste you three, Rabiyu is right, time is of the essence right now. Remember, do not let anyone know of the queen and our suspicions, most definitely of Lord Raiden." He then allows the three to carry on with their duty.He then looks around and thinks to himself. "I wonder what Bherna is up to......."Bherna Lao-her home in Mountains near MystrasBherna keeps her balance. "Oh. Sorry if I interrupted anything." Her eyes widened when Elia mentions that she knows how to use magic. "You do?! Wow....." She then looks at the ground in excitement. She has never seen anyone other than her father use magic before, or she just never got the opportunity t see anyone use magic. Her attention is then taken when Elia asks if she is Jynn's daughter. "I'm actually his adopted daughter. My real parents were horrible people, but I don't want to talk about them....." Her eyes then widen in shock when Elia asks her if her father keeps her stuck at home. "Dad lets me go to Mystras, with his permission to, and I sometimes visit my adoptive grandmother, Queen Shiva. I think the reason I've never seen mages is because I'm around at the wrong times."She then turns around and looks at her hands. "I have done some bad things accidentally in the past............... I guess that's a contributor as well." She then closes her eyes. "Sometimes, I think I shouldn't be around others until I learn to control my power..... I fear that I might hurt somebody.......... like I accidentally did to Dad......................." Edited October 10, 2016 by Endless Thundaga

Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted October 11, 2016 (edited) - Henry - The dreadnaught - The great escape from the kingdom of Sondon - "Oh hell no!" Henry shouted as he saw the knights mobilizing, not giving chase...instead, trying to lower the bloody gate he was trying to get out through. He didn't expect them to mobilize so fast, but then again Effie was pretty quick. "Tsk, these guys are annoying." Henry commented dryly. Henry, while running began charging his right arm. Punching the gate open, while it might work, would allow the soldiers to give chase through it. but...if he could break the gate's mechanisms...yes, entirely possible, with the levers being on top of the gate, one on each side of the structure..."Bingo..." Henry commented as he jumped forward, slamming his fist onto the ground. The ground rumbled and shook as a rock pillar formed bellow the gate, applying massive counter force and holding the gate still even during the closing process. Giving Henry enough time to create two dark orbs. "Get out of my GOD DAMN WAY!" Henry shouted, his voice sound quite demonic at the end, as he threw the two orbs, each orb heading straight to one of the gate levers (Mechanism, I dunno, just want to break the gate). The soldiers were able to avoid the blasts, but the structures weren't so lucky, the gate's mechanisms were very heavily damage and the chains holding the gate were broken as a result. Giving Henry ample time to begin running again, now noticing some soldiers behind him since he stopped for a bit. Luckily the gate was still 'open' due to the earth pillar holding it still, Henry ran straight towards the pillar instead of around it, in fact he lunged at it with a flame powered punch, with flaming streaks of darkness fire following him as he lunged, he punched the pillar, breaking it in half as it collapsed, with the gate quickly falling on top of it, as Henry's momentum threw him out of the kingdom and away from the gate, as it broke down, closing itself with the opening mechanisms broken. Henry resumed his sprint, he knew he wouldn't have an easy time until he was far enough away. - Alastor - The storm bringer - Within Raiden's villa - Alastor wasted no time walking towards Raiden as the man congratulated him, and asked him to sit by the fire with him, not exactly a common request, but not the first time. Many a times would Alastor find Raiden either reading books...or burning them in the fire even. Waste of paper in his opinion, but Raiden was a ruler, and he couldn't object. Alastor walked over to one of the leather armchairs, sitting in it as he took off his helmet and placed it onto the table. Looking serious but also oddly calm and relaxed if that was possible to imagine, "Whats the matter? A time sensitive matter and you're here reading books Raiden? you always were a bit of a bookworm, but lets not talk about that...whats the matter?" Alastor Joked with Raiden for a bit, just friendly joking that he was prone to do, rare to see him doing friendly jokes, most of them were malicious, moslty directed at enemies. - Alicia - Grimoire mage - at Jynn's home - Alicia was silent as Yevgeni and the prince traded words, the prince giving his opinion over his mother's choice and orders, which Alicia understood, he was a prince after all, anything happened to him Shiva would be devastated, and in turn, it would devastate the whole kingdom as well. "I doubt anyone from Mystras knows of us, much less me, Yev and Rabiyu who don't normaly deal with kingdoms's rulers...well at least I don't anyway..." She said chuckling at the end, it was kind of true anyway, She smiled a bit as she got Jynn's approval to tag along with Yev and Rabyiu. "Alright then. lets not waste time here Yevgeni, Rabyiu, lets go!" She spoke to them. - Typhon - Bugman - Forest near Mystras, and nead Jynn's home - "So, I walk up into town and hear a priest talking about monster slayers and witchers, I was surprised at the sight, we witchers are not exactly known much anymore, well, we are...but we're only few now, the witcher teachings and rituals have been prohibited from ever being replicated, the knowledge died with our last grandmasters..." Mikhail shined in some lore about the witchers, as Typhon was back to cutting a small wooden plank into a doll. "So get this, usualy we witchers get pretty neutral comments, but most of the time we get praises and legends told about us by priests and all kinds of other people...this priest was doing the opposite, he was speaking about how I and my brethren were freaks of nature and all of that to the crowd. I stepped into the crowd, clearly upset..." Mikhail continued. "And what did you do?" Typhon asked him curiously. "I simply walked up to him and asked him, 'how many ogres, enraged dragons, goblins and sea monsters have you slain for your people's safety? how many times did you step up to kill a monster that threatened common folk?' Hah." Mikhail laughed. "I bet you broke him down with that." Typhon joked. "Yep, he didn't had anything else to say, he was at a loss. The crowd soon dispersed, clearly disgusted at him of course, and I walked out proud, while the priest cursed at me. It was hilarious." Mikhail chuckled at the end. "I bet, though I think...he would say the same of my people." Typhon spoke in a somber tone. "Well, if he did, what would you do?" Mikhail asked him. "I don't know..." was Typhon's one and only reply. Edited October 11, 2016 by Scrapmaster
Stardustblade358 806 Posted October 11, 2016 -Helios, flying to Avarice with the Aeternum siblings-Helios looked back slightly at the siblings. While one was enjoying it, the other simply wanted it to be over as soon as it could be. Ah, so one of them feared heights. He would have to take note of that later. "Don't worry. You're safe! Even if we fly so high that all of the trees bellow look like tiny broccoli!" Helios teased. He loved flying. It was that taste of freedom to just be able to fly wherever whenever that gave him a rush of adrenaline. Now more than ever. You don't tend to appreciate the things you have until they are taken away from you. That was freedom to Helios, and oh boy, would he appreciate it much more than he ever did before. Helios even had fun while flying to Avarice. He flew in between a flock of geese, allowing the siblings, or at least one of them, a closer look at them in flight before flying ahead in a different direction from them. He would purposely go into any cloud he found on the way. Before long they crossed the border from the kingdom of Sondon into the Kingdom of Hevaldoria, and out of the King's jurisdiction, much to Helios' relief. He could already see a city from afar, and he could only guess that it was their target of Avarice. A city from another kingdom, he wondered what the differences would be from the kingdom they had just left. Well, they would find out. "Alright, Aura. We're almost there. Prepare for landing!" Helios announced, looking for any clearing to land in. He couldn't really find one, so he would have to improvise. He flew down, lowering down into the forest area just besides the main road. He almost stuck the landing. Almost. He tripped against a stump, sending his head first into the dirt before unintentionally bucking the siblings into the air and off into the dirt. Whoops. Vaude 536 Posted October 12, 2016 (edited) ((Since the lock could be heard, eavesdropping is most probably possible. Raleigh knows next to nothing, but she's even more suspicious of Midnea now.)) - Raleigh Marin, currently on board the Phoenix and flying ever upward - Raleigh had to admit to herself that she was ticked. She did not think she would get any information from the start from Midnea, but the witch was definitely a piece of work. She pressed her ear against the oaken door of the airship and frowned. There was conversation, but with the roar of the wind it was impossible to make out anything but garbled bits and pieces. It was funny, however. The voices, besides Midnea's irritating intonations, sounded alien to her, and she could have sworn that there was a third or fourth person speaking besides the two that she knew were present--Midnea and the Knight in Red. "Either she's a socialite with evil spirits or she's schizophrenic," she whispered under her breath. There's no way in or out besides here, and I checked the place. Either way, I don't like it, and it would be best to keep an eye on her, she thought to herself, relieving herself from the door. Furthermore, she made her merry way to the balcony above the captain's cabin's window, just in case somebody was able to squeeze in through there and would squeeze out soon. - Rufus Contralto, with Baxter at Jynn's abode - Rufus blinked several times out of confusion, even though as a genie he had no reason to blink at all. So much information, and good information at that, even if Baxter seemed a little young in his responses. Maybe he was like Children of Mana, young in mind and body and old in years. "Pleased to make your acquaintance, Master Baxter!" Rufus said chipperly, offering a hand for a handshake even though he was intangible. It took him a moment to realise this. "I am Rufus Contralto, and I cannot grant you your wishes, as sad as I am to say it. That belongs to my current owner, and with great wishes comes great responsibility. I think I heard that line from some moving picture somewhere or something, if there are such things as moving pictures. So tell me, youngling, what's this world like? I'm confused about so many situations, and my mind is still catching up from the past six hundred years." - Alastor - The storm bringer - Within Raiden's villa - Alastor wasted no time walking towards Raiden as the man congratulated him, and asked him to sit by the fire with him, not exactly a common request, but not the first time. Alastor Joked with Raiden for a bit, just friendly joking that he was prone to do, rare to see him doing friendly jokes, most of them were malicious, moslty directed at enemies. - Lord Raiden, currently within his villa outside Mystras with Alastor - Raiden emitted a grin in response to Alastor's jocularity, but did not continue any further with it. Instead, he too sank into seriousness, folding his hands together and relaxing into the leather seat. "Little is the matter except for time constraints and hasty deadlines, but very soon we will have guests. An agent of mine is opening the Aegis, and change is coming into fruition. I thought you might want to know before ulterior news strikes your ears, and I regret not telling you this sooner. Errands, you see," he commented, gesturing towards the tome through which he was poring as an example. Upon the spine of the book could be seen its title Memoir 257, and many tabs and bookmarks laced through equally many pages with silk and stiff paper. "In regards to our dear guests, I would like them for the most part treated with dignity. However, take great heed regarding a certain lady within their party. She is not to be trusted in the slightest, and there is no telling if she means harm. I have cause to believe she lived almost as long as I have, and a dangerous wealth of knowledge. "Lastly, I have one question, one which might be paramount my conduct to them and to you." Raiden looked dead-on into Alastor's eyes, trying his best to look serious. "Apple or blueberry pie for the feast's main dessert? You decide. The cook is unable to make up his mind." ((The Infiltrator will be coming up shortly. Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted October 12, 2016 - The Infiltrator, currently with Soran within the caverns of Isopolis - The Infiltrator looked upon the man with great interest, sizing up Soran in preparation for a fight. ((This is a mimicry of Henry's shadow rock armour, sacrificing speed for physical and magical defense.)) - Soran Monroe - Caverns of Isopolis, engaged with The Infiltrator - His challenge was accepted, pleasing the Sentinel of Isopolis and he was soon met with the first attack: A thunderous clap resulting in a swift Bolt of Lightning. Soran raised an arm just before it impacted and as the lightning coursed through his body, the pain was mild and the damage minimal, but the interloper had prepared for a retaliation, as he appeared to be reinforcing himself with some kind of shield? Armour? There was but one way to find out how strong and steadfast it was: His flame wisps from before erupted in small bounds of Hellfire surrounding his hands, his full power certainly not in effect, he did not wish to kill The Infiltrator, but he wasn't going to tell him that. With these flames, he extended his arms aggressively towards his enemy, retracting and repeating several times with his palms open, each time hurling Fireballs of Hell's Flame in an effort to to wear down this armour by sheer force alone. He had to wonder now, would his opponent continue to curl up in protection like a Tortoise from the Underworld...or would he counterattack? Soran kept his eyes peeled. Saber Lily 1,543 Posted October 13, 2016 Eclaire - dining with the Queen "I fear what I could do to you." Were the words that answered the question. The hand had enticed her succubus, but fed her Valkyrie. The single finger, cold but gentle, calmed her hunger yet yearned her light. And what had made her tense and uncomfortable was the fey; of all kids, breeds, beauty. Her eyes unwillingly lingered on Fiona, Eclaire fighting a silent war between herself. She had listened politely...but wasn't caught off guard. Nor did she need to lie. The truth was, she did not fear the Queen. She had long ago stopped fearing those who could die by the sword - she began fearing death...and the death she could cause, should her hunger control her. Eclaire served herself, letting the Queen go first. She ate after speaking, and admitted...the food was good. She wasn't a fan of onions, but those were easy to pick out as she enjoyed the rest. "I fear what I can do should my hunger control me, Queen Shiva. I fear dying...but for the latter, don't we all?" Rhaedyn Thane - The Iron Lord They had found the Cyph, and a monster hunter that Rhaedyn guessed was of the Witcher variety. Such a fine warrior was nor slaying such a beast. That made him wonder the validity of the order. Then the men began speaking amongst themselves. They were as vile as the bandits who attempted to way lay him in the inn, as vile as many poachers he fought. They hunted for glory and spoils, against a beast who sat with a clear monster hunter, without fear. Either the beast was unafraid, or felt no threat. And so he began to walk, when his companions stopped him. "What are you playing at? It'll run!" "A man only carries two swords for a few reasons. Either he always is prepared, fears his sword may break, or chooses the weapon for the job. A man like that does not dine with beasts of massacre, but slays them mercilessly. I will decide it's guilt. " "You imbecile. Who cares if it's peaceful or not? The bounty is one that wI'll make us rich, and we won't lose it to you!" The poacher raised a knife, but was thrown back by the punch. Thane brandished Dawnmourne. "Dawnmourne consumes. " The last hunter was thrown into the fire. His battered corpse began to burn, as Thane stepped out. "Hunters clamor for a fortune of a king, against a beast who frightens only the fool. Tell me, Cyph. Why do fey fear you? " His axe remained ablaze with fire, the man standing before the most likely readied men without a care.
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted October 13, 2016 - Typhon - The last Cyph - Forest near Mystras - Typhon was almost finishing the sculpture as Mikhail continued the stories, this was an interesting man, one he didn't attack him on sight, two he was talking so casualy to someone so different as Typhon, and three, three, not only did he not attack, but chat with him, something which hasn't happened in a long time. "So me and a friend were exploring this ruin, well more like employer, he hired me as an escor-" Before Mikhail could continue the story he was interrupted by a man being flung towards their campfire, Mikhail wasn't impressed, not really surprised. Typhon was so surprised he did not react, just stood there and withdrew his other armblade as his eyes changed color to red in case of hostile, but changed to yellow as he saw the, non-hostile as he saw the hulking man, clad in heavy armor walk out, with a flaming axe/hammer whatever. THe man only said one thing, and one thing only. A question, something which made Typhon look down for a second. "I wish I hand an answer to give you...One day we were a thriving, peaceful, community, the next, we were wiped out." Typhon commented to the man as Typhon retracted his armblades. Clutching the wooden doll in his hands. "Fey's fear what's different, they fear me because I am not like them, and the bounty on my head-no...on my species, turn their fear intro hatred...and lust for blood". Typhon explained in his typical BugMan's voice. "You ask me what made them fear us in the first place, what made them kill us? I do not know...or rather I cannot remember." Typhon spoke with a sorrowful tone. "Seems to me like a case of amnesia" Mikhail commented as he didn't leave from his sitting position, only looked over Rhaedyn and Typhon. "You remember the day your people were killed, burned alive at their homes by Hellfire magic, but you do not remember the cause of the attack or what happened. beforehand, typical amnesia...but not the kind you can get your memories back by smacking you over the head...the type that comes back with time and key events I believe." Mikhail commented. "Why are you so sure?" Typhon asked him, to which Mikhail simply shrugged. "I had the same thing once, memory's back now." Mikhail commented before turning to Thane. "Must say you and whoever you were acompanying weren't sneaky in the least, could hear you all coming from almost seventy yards, could even your breath." Mikhail commented dryly at Rhaedyn for a second. Before poking the hunter's body in the fireplace with a stick. "Yep, he's dead". He commented. Typhon's eyes switched to a green color, signalying that he was not hostile towards Rhaedyn. "You came all the way here with those hunters to ask me that question? didn't come here to kill me and take the bounty for yourself?" Typhon asked the man. Normaly he'd be sarcastic, but considering Rhaedyn's appearance, it was probably best not to. (for ease of understanding, Mikhail's voice has been painted red). - Alastor - The Stormbringer - Raiden's villa, sitting next to the man - "Ah yes, that bitch." Alastor muttered to himself dryly as Raiden briefed him, he had some run ins with said woman before, even fought her lackeys. But that wasn't exactly all Alastor had to say, the sheer mention of Raiden's plan to open the aegis, the barrier between our world and the world below, was surprising, and partially horrifying. But Alastor's expression didn't change, he knew it was only a matter of time before the world below stepped into theirs, the same way those feys descended down there. "You want to break the barrier between the worlds, to connect them together once more, you're either crazy, has a majestic plan, or you're just plain bold." Alastor commented at Raiden. "I shall treat them with as much dignity as can be expected from me, as long as nobody draws a sword on me, and i'l keep an eye on this 'woman' you speak of" Alastor agreed to Raiden's plan and briefing. Now to the next question...what type of pie would the chef make, this made Alastor facepalm. "God dammit Raiden..." he commented as he sighed. "Tell him to make both, make an Apple-blueberry pie, had one of those for dinner in an inn at Lareesa once. It was delicious, just tell him to watch the topping." Alastor chuckled. - Maxis - Kilkis Seres - Ivan's laboratory - "Ivan? Iiiiiivaaaaan" Maxis called out to the good doctor, as he went down a set of stairs, accompanied by one of the maids, as he came upon a wooden door, the maid smelled incense and various types of remedies...and poisons even through the door. "I can handle this from here Mademoisele." Maxis spoke, grabbing the maid's hand and gesturing a kiss in the hand...too bad he didn't have a mouth... "Wish I could kiss your hand...oh well, chop chop" Maxis spoke as the maid soon went back up the stairs, ad Maxis opened the door and went in. "Doctor...I feel better now, sure, but is this itching normal?" the one and only patient in the lab asked the doctor. "Why of coouuuurse~ its the effect of the 'medicine' I applied to you to stop the bleeding and the poison from said wound. if it continues for a week, come back here and i'l see what I can do ok?" The doctor replied in a cheerful tone. Sadisticly cheerful even. The man asked no more questions as he began to leave, stumbling at Maxis's right arm, ripping it off accidentaly. "Every.firetrucking.time." Maxis commented as the man simply dashed out of the lab. "Ivan its me!" Maxis spoke, holding out his...left arm, since the right one was now beginning to float back to him. Ivan was checking some vials as he heard a familiar voice, "huh? M-Maxis?!" The doctor spoke in clear surprise as he rushed towards Maxis...and gave the armor a hug, Maxis almost towered above him, Maxis was around 2m tall while the doctor was around 1,67 meters, the plague doctor's grip was tight, Maxis simply stood there as the man got his composure back and let go. "I...am surprised to see you back Maxis, how long has it been?" "Bout a few centuries, nothing too long I feel." Maxis commented, "Not long for you! you were dormant! while I was here, dealing with boring subjects while occasionaly being invited to the queen's meetings..." "Never did you take off your mask?" Maxis asked, "Nope, my face is something Im not yet ready to show." Ivan spoke. In fact, nobody in the kingdom knew how he or she looked like, not even Ivan's gender was known, not even by Shiva herself. Part of the reason nobody but Maxis trusted the good doctor, he knew Ivan's gender even, female. And nobody else knew, how fun! "Well, whatever about that. Shiva asked me to come here to you so you could...polish me...Lady Ivany" Maxis commented as he bowed, only to receive a punch in the face by Ivany. "You're lucky we're the only ones here...anyway... a polishing? oh i'l do more than polish your metal ass." Ivany spoke with a chuckle, "If you catch my drift". "I may also have some other things you could help me with...some experiments nobody else is willing to help me with." Ivany commented. "I shall help you with them after my polishing, just lets hope Shiva doesn't come scold us afterwards...kind of a low possiblity buuuut...eh what kind of experiments?." Maxis commented as he and Ivany chuckled. "Bombs..." "Awesome" (For ease of understanding, random dude's speech is grey and Ivan is Green).
Saber Lily 1,543 Posted October 13, 2016 Rhaedyn Thane - The Iron Lord His axe cooled and was stowed, the hulking mass of armor and might walking forward. He looked between the two. As he had suspected. Something was very much amiss. Something that, quite honestly, made him curious...very curious. "I came seeking a monster of massacre and vile objective. What I found was a monster hunter dining with a giant insect. What I found did not match up to the claims of the Kingdoms and these hunters. And when they attacked me for deciding to seek the truth, they learned one does not simple stop the Iron Lord." He looked at Mikhail. "Witcher, no? Not many carry two swords or be at ease amongst the monstrous. Not many at all. Your ease around him saved his life - and now brings me to wonder. How can an insect with no memory, dining with a monster hunter, be evil? One cannot be evil on looks alone." The man knelt and rested. Looking between them, he sighed. "I will be traveling to the capital of Kelkis Seres. I will ascertain the truth. Until then, I suggest you remain on the move, until the truth has been revealed." He stared at the fire, the shadows flickering on his armor. "There has been enough extinction."
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted October 13, 2016 (edited) - Typhon - THe Last Cyph - Speaking with an iron lord in the forest near Mystras - "We cyph were never known for massacring and killing, of that much I remember, we may have the instincts of many animals and predators, but we hold them at bay, we have logic, a mind we use to think. I haven't murdered, not even the previous hunters that went after me. Incapacitation in self defense yes, but no killing. There was no reason for me to kill." Typhon explained to Rhaedyn about his motives and whatnot. "How much do you remember?" Mikhail asked. Typhon sighed. "I remember my life in my village, I remember who I am and who I was back then, but I do not remember the time around my village's death..." Typhon explained. "Must have recovered some of your memory at least..." Mikhail commented as he looked at Rhaedyn, who spoke to him. "I only really kill monsters that threaten others, Typhon here, is no threat to anyone." Mikhail confessed. Typhon's ears and posture perked up as Thane spoke of traveling to kilkis seres. "Kilkis Seres? the home of Shiva? the queen?" Typhon asked, clearly interested. This might just be the best opportunity he'l ever have, at such an random moment as well. "Many kingdoms took part in my people's kiling. Shiva must have taken part in it as well." Typhon spoke, as he looked at the wooden doll he sculpted. "She must know why my people were killed. you're an iron lord, you said? just by looking at you I can see that they'l gladly open their doors for you...I would ask to come with you, but not only would I be seen and spotted even if I used my stealth abilities, i'd only slow you down." Typhon spoke, looking down. Before looking to the west. "West of here, is the house of Jynn, the son of Shiva. him and a band of what seems to other royal servants, i've been watching over them, even knocked one or two ogres out in the shadows while they didn't see. He might just be my best chance of getting a possible audience with Shiva...I have to know why my people were killed... I have to." He said as his grip on the doll tightened, crushing its wodden structure a bit. "I have nothing else to lose anyway..." Vaude 536 Posted October 15, 2016 - Lord Raiden, currently within his villa outside Mystras with Alastor -Raiden nodded to Alastor's commentary, and broke out into a loud fit of chuckles as the storm lord brought his hand to his head. Theirs was an interesting relationship, old and bordering somewhere between cold commands and warm friendship, and both had their own senses of humour."I think that kind of pie would be a wonderful idea, one which would prove very fruitful and tasteful," he replied with mirth, but his face went serious shortly thereafter. "As for the barrier, it will be gradual, I assure you. There are natural forces to consider, and the pressure of radicals that would not support or envy strangers, but a hole will be breached, and you might know where that hole will be. Rumours flow smoother than water nowadays and permeates far quicker."Raiden leaned back into his chair, realising he was unconsciously moving forward in his seat, and a slight smile trickled onto his countenance."There's an old, old saying, Alastor, that fortune favours the bold, and I feel particularly bold and lucky. Events are fulfilling spectacularly, and I am eager to test my pieces and plays to provide more than a better world, but better worlds, plural." He sighed and frowned. "If only such turbulent change weren't against the general consensus, happy and placated after aeons of stagnant peace and ignorance to the world below them."- The Infiltrator, opening the Aegis -The Infiltrator stepped into the sanctum, a place where so very few have made it, and a place where so much tragedy was triggered. Exiles and executions were done in this very room. If rumours could be believed, Ariana, the Spriggan, and the other one all went to Isopolis before they were deemed lost and dead, and it was Isopolis where the other one made it back. The Infiltrator's eyes clouded in thought as he meditated on the last one's name. Ren. Yes, that was the one.Duty was far more important than thoughts on the past, and he pressed on into the inverted room. A rocky ceiling of warped, crystal-speckled stalactites towered overhead, distant and bowing away from the centre of the room, and a gaping hole opened up below like the maw of a great beast. What was truly awe-inspiring, however, was what lay between. A stream of light visibly buckled and flexed a lens with intense magical pressure between two great stone pillars. This lens was the Aegis, a resolute artefact, considering its age and faultless purpose, but in its own ways fragile to outside forces. The Infiltrator glanced back at Soran before walking down the slender earthen path leading towards the lens, his displaced hovering magic fading as he stepped further and further into the cavity. Walking on the ground soon afterwards took him by surprise, but he continued on unhampered until the end, putting forth more magic to protect his very core from being drained instead. Thankfully he had a lot pooled up in his energy reservoirs, enough to make it to the lens and turn the inner lock. The magical field let off by the lens weakened in intensity, shifting in location so that it was not one beam but several that emanated through the durable glass. The hole was formed, and through it could fly the airship."It is done," he said, heading back towards the entrance and exit. "Soran, you are welcome to join the cause. You have considerable proven strength and the same ideals. It is certain that with you Raiden can achieve his goals sooner and better, but if not I urge you not to speak of this matter to anyone, especially not the queen. It is quite possible she will feel the aftershock of the Aegis, and if you are here it may end poorly for you unless your tongue is as gifted as your vigor."- The Infiltrator [flashback, locked in a combative test with the guardian of Isopolis] -It was difficult to trudge forward in the feeling of heavy armour on him, even if the electricity was lighter than a feather, but the Infiltrator closed the distance even as Soran launched a barrage of fire at him. His armour was different from other elements, reflecting and nullifying large blows rather than tanking them, and the flames quenched themselves as soon as they got close to him. The blows did weaken the armour, but additional generation of electricity from the man's hands restored it to full capacity.Next was the Infiltrator's turn. Sapping from the electromagnetic armour, he prepared concussive blows within his left fist and launched three air blasts at railgun speeds, starting at the ground at Soran's feet and ending at Soran's chest. Blocking that would not be an easy feat. A triple blast was almost sure to knock people backward into a wall, and the opening blast would diffuse against the ground and scatter like a strong wind. He did not wholly sacrifice protection, however. The Infiltrator still garnered a bit of armament on his right-hand side, the armour still hanging on there whereas the rest that covered his mask and left side was gone. 1 Nero Kunivas reacted to this
