It's too good of an idea. It would be great for a perfect world, but this isn't that, people have already started manipulating the game to attack people and people aren't paying attention things, heck they weren't as is. So maybe this would have been a good card to pull by Nintendo a long time ago before things got really bad but not right now.

It will would have these two issues no matter what time they chose to release it, especially that some stupid people aren't paying attention when the loading screen warns you about it. There is no real difference between texting while driving and playing PG while driving.

Dude, this wouldn't matter no matter which period of time they did it. There were always bad things happening in the world and there will continue to be things like that. It's just a matter of people needing to be a little more cautious. I promise you issues like attention span and hacking, while it might be slightly less of an issue the further back you go, if this technology was available back then it would have been just as bad, if not more so.

 

Really the only problem I have with this concept is that DIGIMON didn't think of this first. Seriously, "digital monsters" that you can see only through a digital interface? You can find them in specific areas, with certain landmarks being hot spots for more of them? Seriously, if Digimon actually had the collectathon gimmick that Pokemon had, they could have made a whole lot of money out of this before Pokemon did...even though Pokemon would probably still outsell it...because Pokemon......but still, my point stands, this is almost like Digi-Pokemon Go.

Still at some point you have to think, whether the game was not intended to cause harm or not, whether it's a game or a freakin bird, was this the best idea to release right now or is making something for idiots to be even stupider with a good thing?

Lol, it's a videogame and it's done so much good but just because a few idiots do bad things it's automatically a bad idea. 

 

It helps people lose weight due to the walking aspect

It encourages ppl to socialise more, something that VG's always get slandered for is making you antisocial.

It's helped socially anxious people and autistic folk to become more social and helped them to make friends since some find it hard. Google it if you don't believe me.

 

Gosh, our generation are always getting slandered for being antisocial and not going outside, we get an app that encourages us to go outside and be social and now everyone is so negative towards it.

 

It's a brilliant invention, if you're interested in game development and the whole gaming market then you should really be paying attention to this. It's not Nintendo's fault that people are stupid. As for kids going outside and being in 'danger', that goes back to the thing about socialising. Parents should know about this app by now and should take responsibility for their kids safety when using it. Oh and also

 

PHONES. You're using a phone, it's battery is bound to die sometime so you can't be out for more than 6 hours considering the app will drain your battery. Plus your mobile data will run out and stuff. 

 

Don't blame nintendo, this is a great thing.

If anything, Pokemon Go is kind of getting rid of the idiots that roam this world. I mean look at the daughter (who was injured) and mother who blame the game because it pointed the former to walk towards a highway. Who the firetruck goes to play in a highway? So if the game points you towards a active volcano, you're going?
