Amon 4,279 Posted September 10, 2010 ...when I fight Vanitas for the first time as Ven. (I'm on proud mode and I don't think I'm going to defeat him at only level 9)? I try doing hit and run tactics and spam dodge roll but he gets me some how every time. I almost had him one time (he was down to barely 1/10 of his last health bar) when I made the mistake of using cure during his fireball attack. I've yet to come that close since then. Also what is the best place to train if I need to level up?
SHADOWPAIN 66 Posted September 10, 2010 dude, i had the same problem. i was lvl 11 and it took me a day and a half to beat him. I'd had a lot of fun tho, he's awesome to fight. that battle is just epic. when u attack him and he stops that means he's gonna teleport behind you, so u have to time your attacks and then roll out of the way. when he does the fireball, dodge roll diagnolly when the ball is about 3 feet away from you. also, when he teleports behind you expect him to dash at you so just roll out the way and hit him from behind. and as for the electricity thing, just keep your distance and rush him when mickey is fighting him. go to the other worlds lvl 3 and lower to level up. Amon 4,279 Posted September 10, 2010 Yeah I've been training Ventus. Hopefully level 20 will be enough to beat him. I saw someone at level 23 on youtube defeat him in 2 minutes. I'm guessing at level 20 I should defeat him in 4 minutes. I've also been buying a crap load of high potions for this battle and any future ones. Proud mode is really unforgiving when it comes to boss fights.Even though I have cure it's a pain to wait for it to recharge when firing balls are everywhere and Vanitas is lunging toward me at 500 miles an hour. I can only shudder when I think of how difficult critical mode must be.
zeno247naruto12 5 Posted September 10, 2010 level 20 is enough
Rob 5,571 Posted September 10, 2010 To tell you the truth, I'm playing as Terra at lvl 48 and just left destiny islands. So every boss I've faced, I beat them in under 30 seconds. I beat Peter Pan in 5 seconds by just shootlocking him.
xxTerra 2 Posted September 10, 2010 ^pro nice. where did you go to lvl up?
khfan02 56 Posted September 10, 2010 i was a lvl 15 wen i fought him i just used shotlock on all my bosses
Orohu 0 Posted September 10, 2010 Hey, not to hijack the topic or anything, but what level should Ven be on Standard to fight his final bosses? I got pwned by the first in the series, so I don't think that level 25 will suffice.
Think Pink 1,967 Posted September 10, 2010 For both of you I'd reccomend the Mirage Arena. It really helped me out. Also playing on the Command Board ^^
VENROXAS 152 Posted September 10, 2010 go back to the highest lv worlds or as butterflylexi said battle at the mirage arena
hatok 6,413 Posted September 10, 2010 For the first fight? 9 I'd think. If you bring Magnet and Zero Gravity, and sue them at the right times, you can stun him for massive damage.
Dawn 0 Posted September 11, 2010 I recommend for you to meld your Cure spell into Cura. Fire is the best one because it will follow up to a certain time. Mirage Arena and Cinderella's world would be the best (get on the yarn and smash 'em)
Starchaser 0 Posted September 11, 2010 I was like level 10 when I beat him the first time. (Standard Mode) Just use ranged attacks and if you go into the red use cure. (I'd bring two) When he's down to his last bar, use close-range attacks.
heartless101 83 Posted September 11, 2010 Well when I fought Vanitas for the first time, I was like level 15 lol. And also, for the best place to train, I recommend you train in that HUGE room in Castle of Dreams.
Rob 5,571 Posted September 11, 2010 ^pro nice. where did you go to lvl up? Well, I didn't plan on being on a high lvl, it was kinda like me wanting to be at a certain lvl before I went to the next world. Go to Castle of dreams in the beginning, cause I was at lvl 28 before I went to the 3rd world(Terra). Later on in the game, you can lvl up in Neverland and Deep space. All these bosses took me at least 30 seconds to be, but the Final boss took me like 45 secs to 1 minute.
