SuperSmashDrake 48 Posted July 8, 2016 Hey everyone. With the most recent update to Chi, we see some reveals that just give us more questions. Most importantly, the black coat wearer who we have been told is the Master of Masters, wields the same Keyblade eventually wielded by Xehanort. We also are being told that under the black coat might be the 6th apprentice (Luxu), and not the Master of Masters. I also just replayed BBSFM, and a line in Terra's ending uttered by Master Xehanort stuck out to me: "I swore I would survive... and be there to see what awaited beyond the Keyblade War!" How does this make sense? There is no way that Master Xehanort was alive during ancient times, witnessed the Keyblade War, AND survived up until the events of BBS. We also know that Master Xehanort's Keyblade is the most ancient Keyblade, we learned this from Young Xehanort in the secret ending of Re: coded on 2.5. And in the Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer, Young Xehanort knows more about the Keyblade War than Eraqus, even though Eraqus said their master told them the story. Xehanort even speaks the line that is in the Book of Prophecies about light expiring. So what I am theorizing, is that the Master of Masters took control of Luxu in a similar manner Xehanort did to Terra. However, the Master of Masters continued to use this technique, eventually taking control of Xehanort. This would explain why Xehanort has the most ancient Keyblade and is so knowledgeable about the Keyblade War - he started it. The Master of Masters survived the Keyblade War he started by taking control of one of his apprentices, who held a copy of the Book of Prophecies. With the Book, he was able to see the future and plan accordingly. He knew who he could take control of in order to survive. That's all I have for now. Obviously it may not be the most sound theory in the world, but I just want to know why Xehanort spoke about surviving the Keyblade War if it took place in ancient times, long before he and Eraqus even encountered a Keyblade. 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted July 8, 2016 Ha, well you know something, I actually thought this too! I talked about this a while back, about how the Master Of Masters probably transferred his heart from vessel to vessel through the ages! The only difference is that I theorized that he could have ended up possessing the body of whoever ended up being Xehanort and Eraqus's Master! Your theory is pretty good, too! Now that you mention that line Xehanort said in BBS, it does bring to mind what you currently said! There could be a connection!
Dagesh Lene 366 Posted July 8, 2016 (edited) So what I am theorizing, is that the Master of Masters took control of Luxu in a similar manner Xehanort did to Terra. I completely agree with you there. Since, in my opinion, we have no reason to believe that there are two people in black coats, the man in the black coat must be the Master of Masters, since Nomura told Famitsu that he was. However, since, in this update, we found out that the man in the black coat is Luxu, the sixth apprentice, it seems to me that the most logical way to make sense of what the update revealed and what Nomura said is that the Master of Masters possessed Luxu. The Master of Masters survived the Keyblade War he started by taking control of one of his apprentices, who held a copy of the Book of Prophecies. With the Book, he was able to see the future and plan accordingly. He knew who he could take control of in order to survive. Luxu doesn't have a copy of the Book of Prophecies. He said so himself in the update. I believe that, since the Master of Masters has an eye to see into the future, he didn't need a copy of the Book of Prophecies, if the Master of Masters did indeed possess him. Obviously it may not be the most sound theory in the world, but I just want to know why Xehanort spoke about surviving the Keyblade War if it took place in ancient times, long before he and Eraqus even encountered a Keyblade. I don't think Master Xehanort was talking about surviving the original Keyblade War. I think he was talking about surviving the next Keyblade War, the one he was planning on starting in Birth by Sleep before Aqua and Ventus destroyed the imperfect X-Blade. However, that does not rule out the option that he did exist that long ago. I personally just don't think that he did, since he doesn't seem to have much knowledge on it (he said to Eraqus, "We know so little about the Keyblade War--only that it was just the beginning"). That being said, from what I can gather about what Luxu was saying, Luxu's mission sounds a lot like Master Xehanort's plan: watch to make sure that the Keyblade War happens, and then go to the future to "inherit the secret". Maybe there is a connection there somehow. Edited July 8, 2016 by Dagesh Lene
Master Eraqus 1,340 Posted July 8, 2016 (edited) Hmm... This sounds like a theory I made a few hours a go, except reversed. Hmm... suspicious. Edited July 8, 2016 by Master Eraqus
