Robbie the Wise 5,050 Posted July 5, 2016 This does me thinking. If Roxas comes back and Lea might probably die.He will say then this: "Goodbye Roxas, See you again. I'm glad I got to meet you." You know since it is Lea and not Axel will this trip be his first time meeting Roxas. They're the same person; as Axel, Lea never cast aside his old identity. He might have used the name Axel, but he still carried on exactly the way he did as Lea. 1 HarLea Quinn reacted to this

Robbie the Wise 5,050 Posted July 5, 2016 Yeah that may be true but he might not remember Roxas. He will remember him then as Ventus . The first thing Lea did once he woke up is remember Roxas. That's why he went to go get a Keyblade in the first pace. So he could save his friends. 3 Handsome_the_Wise, Blooming Marluxia and HarLea Quinn reacted to this

KH4Real 749 Posted July 5, 2016 (edited) Ohyeh now I remember the scene from 3D. Might be still possible he might still see him as Ventus. Since he didn't say his name yet I think. Edited July 5, 2016 by KH4Real
DaxtotheMax 193 Posted July 5, 2016 In KH2 Axel was essentially chasing around Sora, trying to get Roxas back. So I was thinking, In KH3 when Roxas comes back (It's going to happen), him and Lea will finally be together again. To make the Keyblade War climactic and dark, Lea should die. This will make people take the war very seriously, it is a war after all. To add, Lea should die in Roxas' arms, this will add to the tragic element of Roxas' life and create character development for him. It will also remind the player of how Xion died in Roxas' arms. Heck, Roxas could even start getting flashbacks of Xion's death. This will isolate Roxas and push him further away from the cheerful side of his former 'other half'. Roxas could then go off and focus more on himself rather than surrounding himself with other people. He'd become the opposite of Sora in a sense. He could even try to attain Kingdom Hearts from Master Xehanort in order to revive his fallen comrade. Gee, Roxas has gone through some tough bs already, he's comparable to Aqua and what she went through
Zekrofire 11 Posted July 6, 2016 A good way to enhance his character would be for Xehanort to offer him a choice. Lea would have the option of joining Xehanort and Xehanort bringing Roxas ,and possibly Xion, back to him. Lea accepts and we're just sitting there like: "GODDAMNIT LEA THINK OF THE BIGGER PICTURE!" with Xehanort wanting to take Kingdom Hearts, but then it hits us and we start to think that if Sora was given this choice in terms of Riku and Kairi, would he take it? Lea just wants to be with his friends and that's the basic plot of all KH games. Sora would make that choice and then we empathise for Lea, but then he realises his mistake at the end of the game and sacrifices himself for Sora yet again. That last part wouldn't have to happen though.
xxClouDxxmoon 901 Posted July 6, 2016 We should wait and see how KH3 plays out and then decide who we think should have died and stuff. We don't even know yet how important certain characters are in the game.
Jake 1,488 Posted July 6, 2016 I think Donald and Goofy should die I don't think Lea should die honestly. It sounds stupid IMO. If anything, I rather have Sora die using all his strength to destroy Xehanort (which hopefully isn't going to happen). Deaths shouldn't be used to intensify something. Near death experiences are better, I'd say. I agree with those who say Lea is important and very popular, and thus shouldn't die. People die in wars, yes, but I don't think Lea is your man. noiX 25 Posted July 6, 2016 why would they build up all of this stuff about reconnecting lost hearts and bringing everyone back just to kill people lol. I don't know why you would want people to die, it would just invalidate the ending of KH3D with Ansem, Blank Points, and the scene with Data Namine at the end of RE:Coded, it just doesn't make sense to me. The way things are building up it seems like KH3 is gonna be one of the only/few KH stories with a happy ending to end the dark seeker saga. If they were to kill off a character or multiple characters the first thing those characters would wanna do would be to bring back the characters that "died" in the next saga, sounds stupid to kill anyone in my opinion. Dracozombie 4,554 Posted July 6, 2016 More tragedy =/= character development. Roxas has enough reasons to be angsty and got, what, 2 and a half games doing just that (does Data-Roxas in coded count?). If anything, Roxas's character development would be giving him reasons to be happier, giving him a life and purpose of his own and asserting himself as someone besides a copy of Sora that shouldn't exist -- and actually succeeding. I don't think he needs to distinguish himself from Sora. To me he's already distinguished, and I thought that was the point to his character: he tries so hard to be his own person, and to viewers he seems to be doing a good job of it, and yet here's all these people telling him he's nothing but a shadow and to be a good boy and merge back with your 'real' self, because anything you feel (or think you feel) is irrelevant. And I'd say that currently, KH's plot wrote itself into a corner in regards to killing anyone off. In addition to how no non-Disney character has ever been shown to be permanently killed off, with all this attention given to saving all these nice people, killing them off would render all that work pointless. They're finally saved, just to die? And as stated before, Axel/Lea already died once; why not make it stick by having him stick around? There are other ways to move his and Roxas's development than by death. I've noticed that a lot of people who want a KH character to die only want it because they think it'll make the story more serious, not because it makes sense to the plot or anyone's development. 3 Handsome_the_Wise, Dave and Firaga reacted to this
Alicia Maddox 2,141 Posted July 6, 2016 LEA has no purpose after KH3, what's he gonna do after everything? He's had his character development. It's a war, people die in wars... So everyone should just survive a war? How anti climactic. How is it redundant and boring? It's more boring if he doesn't die. I don't see Lea dying in KH3 AT ALL. There would be no reason for him to. if anyone is going to die in KH3, its either going to be Riku or Siax. I would think Siax would be the best canidate for that. Hallowseve 143 Posted July 6, 2016 I use to believe in the "permanent death" thing for Kingdom Hearts, but I changed. I don't want any of them to truly die, except maybe Xehanort. Lea has had a great story arc, and if he reunites with Roxas and Xion in KH3, his story could go anywhere. No need to wish a death on a character to make things serious, they're plenty of emotional scenes in the series that can take the cake. I firmly believe that Lea should remain very much alive. And to the people saying Roxas should stay "fused" with Sora...there's a special place in the Realm of Darkness for you all.
Moochieh32 676 Posted July 6, 2016 (edited) The only people I can assure you'll possibly definitely see die in Kingdom Hearts 3, is some of Xehanort's darknesses (Unfortunately, Isa, and Braig, and possibly others). I can see Braig and/or Isa actually end up turning against Xehanort late in the game, leading them to their demise. Another death I can see happening (well, brought up and spoken about) is actually something less talked about but makes much more sense, is Kairi's grandmother. She seemed very involved with the story of the war, making her a key point to the story. We ask ourselves, how in the hell did Kairi end up from living with her grandma in Radiant Gardens, to her in the waters unconscious at Destiny Islands? Possible theory: During the transition from Radiant Gardens to Hollow Bastion (BbS to KH1), Xehanort destroyed all of the people's homes , including Kairi's. Kairi's grandmother forces Kairi to leave, making her flee to the gates of the world. Right after she leaves her home, Kairi falls to her knees from an explosion that came from within her house. The emotional "Missing You" track plays while we see young Kairi cry like any other child would, watching her home be engulfed in flames, and a picture of her and her grandmother lands in front of her, burning up. She then gets up and continues to head for the exit, while other families in the background panic and also flee to the gates while heartless invade and attack their homes... once she reaches the gates, she gets knocked out in a certain way (possibly an explosion) that makes her end up in the ocean with a crate, knocking her out in the process while the crate takes her all the way to Destiny Islands where she first meets Sora and Riku. THAT is the only darkish moment, possibly one of the few we'll ever get to see in Kingdom Hearts 3. Other than that, I honestly don't see any other characters dying, like Lea, Kairi, Sora or even the Disney characters, who play a major part in the series. (However, seeing yet another near death experience would certainly be emotional, like we experienced with unexpected KH2's Goofy's 'death'). Ultima Spark 753 Posted July 6, 2016 (edited) If I had a dollar every time someone said "Lea should die/get possessed in KH3"... I'm half-convinced people just hate him that badly for some bizarre reason. LEA has no purpose after KH3, what's he gonna do after everything? He's had his character development. It's a war, people die in wars... So everyone should just survive a war? How anti climactic. How is it redundant and boring? It's more boring if he doesn't die. Exit stage left. I'd be perfectly fine with him leaving the series as long as he gets a happy ending. I'm sick of the modern world's obsession with downhearted outcomes. Krysta 4 Posted July 6, 2016 (edited) I don`t think Lea should die, because his story isn`t over and it has some mysteries to clear yet (such as his plan/agenda with Isa in BBS and 358/2 Days and the way he became a Nobody and his reason to join Organization XIII). To be honest I didn`t like (his actions as) Axel in Chain of Memories & KH2 and it was not fair that he got all the spotlight / more screentime as the other members in Organization XIII (and reappeared after been defeated while others don´t) at first, but later when I got more in the story (in Days, BBS & DDD) and then I changed my mind and I´m more interested/curious about him that I was before. (And I like his friendship with others, especially Isa) ^^ I think that he is importent to the story and has a strong desire to friendships (that he care for his friends, he would even die for his friends and his catchphrase "got it memorized" shows that he don´t want to be forgotten by them, maybe it has something to do with his past). And I read in an interview from Nomura that his story/past is sad and that you will cry if you know it. So I´m sure he is a valuable character and someone who should be saved, too. Since Kingdom Haerts is about friendship and I´m glad that no one really died in KH like other series (Game of Thrones & RWBY).I hope that he (and Isa, Terra and the other good guys) will stay alive until the end. ^^Lea is a cool character and (one of) the moodmaker in KH (I like Lea more than Axel ^^). So I hope to see more of him and his story in KH3 (and a happy end for him and his friends) !!! Edited July 7, 2016 by Krysta
Kiari/Niamen/ No.XV 3 Posted May 5, 2023 I personally disagree because Lea saw Xion's face when he was with Kairi, and he obviously sees Roxas in Sora when Roxas comes back if Lea were to die I don't think people who care about Lea could just sit there and watch Roxas go the dark side and rejoining organization 13 seeing as to how unhappy Roxas was when he in the organization and What about Xion, she comes back in Kh 3 and she probably wouldn't want to watch Lea die seeing as to how she literally starts crying as Sora tells her "It's alright! you can stop now! it's alright Xion!" Xion obviously cares about Roxas as well as Lea because she literally tells Lea to rest even if she still calls him Axel this shows she still cares about both of her friends.
