Way2Dawn 80 Posted July 3, 2016 Just as the topic says. We all know by now Dream Drop Remastered is going to run at buttery smooth 60 fps, and it looks great. No doubt that a higher frame rate can enhance the game play, but how big of an issue is it to you if frame rate sits at 30 fps or maybe drops a few frames lower. I've seen a few videos recently about frame rate in 0.2 being an issue and honestly, I don't see it. Cynical points out in one of his videos that the frame rate drops about 5 fps in the part of the demo where Aqua is grinding on her Blizzaga trail, but even though he pointed it out to us I still could not see a difference. In another example, Skywardwing talks in one video about his experience playing the demo at E3 and said that the frame rate dropped so much that it was "Virtually Unplayable at times" (paraphrasing), but I watched him play it probably 50 times and had no clue what he was talking about (i know its different watching the demo on a phone recording but still) In my opinion, Frame Rate means almost nothing to me and it sure never ruins the gameplay for me. What about you guys? Im very curious to see what you guys think and what your issues are with frame rate. Do you not care? Or do you notice every frame drop? Does it ruin your experience? advfox 698 Posted July 3, 2016 As a person who has dealt with and tolerated very lower frame rates in the past, I don't care that much. 3 Geralt, ReverofE and Shimmy reacted to this
Aang 649 Posted July 3, 2016 I agree, it doesn't matter much to me. As long as it isn't too distracting than I'm happy. 1 Zay reacted to this

So... you'd happily play a game at 1 fps? Of course frame rate matters, I don't want to be playing games and have them jitter and stutter all the time. It shows that the game is polished and taken care of.
Svard 164 Posted July 3, 2016 (edited) Well, console and handheld games generally run at 30 or 60. Perfectly fine with 30, but anything over is more ideal for me, being a PC enthusiast, since I'm more a PC gamer than anything else. And no, there is no such thing as "master race", so don't even categorize me with those "PC master race" people. Edited July 3, 2016 by Svard

Well since there will never be a KH game released at 1 fps (or any other game for that matter) I would have to say no, I would not play it, but thats not what I'm talking about. Im not saying take it to a point where the game is basically a slide show, I'm talking more about when people complain about slight frame drops that a lot of people dont really notice, even when pointed out to them, like the Cynical example I gave. How a frame drop can go unnoticed by some, but be "Virtually unplayable" to others. Nobody wants a jittery game, but I have seen videos and read posts of people who think that frame rate is going to be a legitimate issue for 0.2 and I want to know if that holds any water for anyone
Isaix 924 Posted July 3, 2016 I can barely tell when a game runs at 60fps or 30fps and I love Hyrule Warriors and Sonic Unleashed and the framerate of those 2 games drops constantly,so I don't really care about framerate in general, but it is distracting when a game drops bellow 20fps. gingienator 278 Posted July 4, 2016 I really don't mind if frame rate is over 30. I mean 30fps is actually really good to me but if it's 60fps then that's really amazing for me. I've grown up with things being 30fps and to me, I really never noticed anything bad. But if I see something act all jittery and it starts acting all jumpy, then I kinda cringe on how it runs. When I saw DDD HD being played at 60fps I was surprised on how it looks. And with with people saying that there are frame issues with 0.2 like you said, I don't notice it either. It looks find to me just like you said also
Exiblade7 1,917 Posted July 4, 2016 It's honestly a big deal to me because I think it is awesome being able to play my favorite kh handheld game on the ps4 with 60 frames
BlazingSoul 130 Posted July 6, 2016 As long as it's above 25fps, then it's good.
