First of all, hear me out.  I know the likelihood of this is less than slim, its just something I thought of that would be cool.

 

We all know 2.8 comes out in December.  We also know that we will be getting KH3 news in winter, presumably, also December (to me at least).  Coincidence?  Good timing?  I think not...

 

Nomura has been very vocal that he wants people to cast aside KH3 for the time being and focus on 2.8.  Its very important, please be excited.  For marketing purposes? Perhaps, but I think in typical Nomura fashion he is withholding valuable information from us.  What does this bring us to?  Well...

 

I am predicting that the news we will receive for KH3 will come in the form of a Secret Ending in 2.8 complete with a release window at the end.

 

Picture this:  Finishing 0.2 A Fragmentary Passage to find an awesome cinematic of something never before seen in KH3, much like secret endings of KH1 and KH2.  After the cinematic writes "Worldwide December 2017!" (or whenever).  That would be awesome.

 

Like I said, just a thought, most likely won't happen.  Enjoy 0.2.  Please be excited

I doubt it, he said Japan would get the game a few days earlier than everyone else, to put a release window at the end would be a bit dumb.

 

It'll probably just be a trailer announcement for Jump Festa.

Anyway, a release window being announced within a game? That sounds interesting, but unnecessary. The news will probably be actual news, like Nomura himself coming out and announcing random things to do with the game and probably a release window like 2017 or 2018. Nice thinking though.

ah good point.  I forgot that they were getting 2.8 slightly earlier.  I guess the only way I can still support my prediction is that Nomura would do this to appease Japanese gamers since they (for once) aren't getting their own special game 6 months ahead of the rest of us.  But news would travel fast, wed all know worldwide within hours of the release.  But like I said, its doubtful, but hopeful.  Please be excited

It does sound quite ridiculous, but hey they announced KH3 three years ago and we've had very little updates on it. An announcement one year in advance would have been better, but either way fans be like: "give us KH3 already!"

It's time now to release KH3. FFXV is going now to be released also.

I also see Utada Hikaru or a new song from KH3 to be announced this winter.

Then the release of KH3 must be either March, July or September.

If next year, March and July are far too early. It would probably be September or a later date.

I would rather have the release date announced on the 15th anniversary in March. At this point I'm expecting a Winter 2017 release.

Ooh, that's a great way of sucker punching us with a release window!  That'd definitely be well played on Nomura's part!  I'd love to see something like this happen!

 

But yeah, we won't get Kingdom Hearts III so early next year, so I'm guessing that we could probably get it very late into the year, probably November or December, but that's just me guessing and hoping! X3
