Vaude 536 Posted August 14, 2017 I was wondering if anyone would be interested in taking up the roles of NPC bosses for the Kilkis Seres side? I'm finding that we're a little short-handed on the Kilkis Seres side, especially due to quite a number of its characters being inactive currently. If you're interested let me know and we can work out the details. : ) Also, how long should this war last? I'm thinking perhaps over the course of this next month, but let me know if that sounds too long/short to you guys and we can adjust it. We're moving at a really good pace right now, so I could see us covering quite a bit of combat in that length of time. I'm also considering the possibility of the war being a two-parter, with one side retreating and reconvening for the second battle. I could take up some roles of NPC bosses, and have three recurring folks lined up for the task as well as dear ol' Reginald Heathertoes. They will all be high 10s or low 20s except for Reginald, who would be about 26, giving some people a run for their money if need be. My listing is Reginald (Druid class), Ahinoam (Dark Adept class), Ruddy (Wind Adept class), and Kaspar (Occultist class). In terms of duration, one month or two would be easy for me if posts stay short and quick. A two-parter would be intriguing as well and I would be game for it, but I am curious as to what others would say about it.
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted August 15, 2017 (edited) If one thing needs to happen. is Everyth slashing at Maxis's head. Only to face the horror of a headless, insane armor, ready to bitch-slap someone. Also. As for NPC bosses. could have some in Mystras's side ( not that Mystras needs it, its going pretty well for them). With the other Black knight liutenants. (Ronan and THe other female I literaly forgot her name, both I introduced in the defending Sondon). Edited August 15, 2017 by Scrapmaster
Elrandir 783 Posted August 15, 2017 Well, I could help with one or two NPC bosses for Kilkis, that way I could ensure the fall of one of the siblings. I'm going to be a little busy until the weekend, but I will try to think something for Kilkis NPCs bosses.

Stardustblade358 806 Posted August 15, 2017 I can have Helios transform into something big as a boss. Something that brings attention. Or I could get a Wendigo boss to appear responding on Morana's distress. It'd be big, stinking of decay, and would not have trouble trying to eat people. I'm beginning to feel bad for Soren at this point. lol Manticore almost eats him, a Basilisk form of the same guy is looming and now a Boss Wendigo? Is it too late to switch sides? Plus, Ren wants to rescue Helios, so on the off chance Soren doesn't relent and kills him, I'd feel even more bad for that bastard.

Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted August 16, 2017 A quick note concerning the attack on the healers: you are welcome to launch an attack and state how you harm them, but I'll be the one to determine whether they have fallen or have been instead injured. I'm updating the war intro post with the current standing on the healers. Sorry that I didn't elaborate on that previously; I felt like I was leaving something out. I could have Melstrome harness the power of the wind, but I'm a little bit troubled by this idea due to his importance to Jynn's story. Hmm, this may be difficult since Jynn and Melstrome are considered one unit together presently, and I'm not sure that you would want to break them up. Melstrome harnessing wind would probably increase Jynn's battle ranking, but I'm not sure that Mel should be an additional boss. Thank you for the offer nonetheless! I appreciate you trying to help. I could take up some roles of NPC bosses, and have three recurring folks lined up for the task as well as dear ol' Reginald Heathertoes. They will all be high 10s or low 20s except for Reginald, who would be about 26, giving some people a run for their money if need be. In terms of duration, one month or two would be easy for me if posts stay short and quick. A two-parter would be intriguing as well and I would be game for it, but I am curious as to what others would say about it. That sounds great! I'm thinking a total of three or four bosses should suffice, so if all of our volunteers wants to take one or two we should be set. All of your suggestions sound fine by me, so feel free to pick whichever one (or two) you would like to add. I'll probably place the majority of the additional power in the center flank, as that is the most lacking in terms of power, but I may also place some in the left flank as well. No need to make character sheets, by the way, since I'd hate for you to go through so much effort for a temporary character. You've given the basics of what kind of power they will possess, and that is good enough for me. I'll probably give bosses a relatively high battle rating (within the 21-29 range), so that should give you some room to play with your character. : ) Thanks for volunteering! If one thing needs to happen. is Everyth slashing at Maxis's head. Why, Everyth would probably turn green. This must happen! Thanks for offering, and I'd be happy to have you control an NPC boss, though Mystras has plenty of power at the moment, as you had mentioned. The main reason I'm looking for bosses for Kilkis Seres is because they have too few of players as it is presently, plus with the inactive characters I feel that their flanks are suffering tremendously (which probably wouldn't be how it would go in-plot, as Kilkis Seres has more military power with less skill than Mystras' few but talented troops). If you'd still like to take on an NPC for Kilkis Seres, though, I would more than welcome it. : ) Well, I could help with one or two NPC bosses for Kilkis, that way I could ensure the fall of one of the siblings.I'm going to be a little busy until the weekend, but I will try to think something for Kilkis NPCs bosses. I was actually going to ask you about the fall of a sibling. I was considering having the queen challenge one of them, but then I wasn't sure if/which one you had wanted to fall, so chose Mariel as an opponent instead. We can still line that up, if you're interested, or you could have an NPC perform the final blow. I'll let you choose your preference. : ) That would be awesome if you'd like to take on an NPC, though! I do not want to give you too much if you already have a full plate, however. As I mentioned earlier in the post with Vaude, you wouldn't need to make a character sheet for your boss. Just a basic description of their power will suffice, and then I can give them a battle ranking and assign them a flank (anywhere from the 21-29 range). I'm thinking a total of three to four bosses for now should be plenty, so if you, Vaude, and Stardust choose to make one that would work out pretty well (and if Scrap still wants one for Kilkis Seres that would be fine, too). I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with! I can have Helios transform into something big as a boss. Something that brings attention. Or I could get a Wendigo boss to appear responding on Morana's distress. It'd be big, stinking of decay, and would not have trouble trying to eat people. Thank you so much for offering! I think more units will be more beneficial than additional power at the moment, but I am greatly enthused by the Wendigo boss, if that is something you would like to consider. : ) I wouldn't need character sheets for any of these bosses, but rather just a basic description of their power/abilities and I'll assign a battle rank (anywhere from 21-29). We always need more lovable fey that are trying to eat people.
Stardustblade358 806 Posted August 17, 2017 Well for the Wendigo boss I would offer a guy looking like this with a size of 35 feet tall, compared to a standard 6 foot soldier like this. His abilities would include: Very strong stench of decay Its size Its claws Its very sharp teeth to nom on people High resistance to pain It would cause quite a stir 1 Mystics Apprentice reacted to this
Elrandir 783 Posted August 17, 2017 I will be using the werewolf known as Fenrir. Very strong Capable of quick regeneration (to a certain degree) He uses brute strength to overcome his enemies. Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted August 17, 2017 I'll post today, but not yet. I'm in the middle of some heavy lifting tasks in the house, thus preoccupied, but it will come. Why do we need bosses? Wars aren't like rpgs. Overworld is a place brimming with super-powered demigods, some much stronger than others. They're essentially the Heavies, the Elites, the Juggernauts I dare say, they provide a significant challenge to the combatants. Plus, this isn't the real world, so... 1 Mystics Apprentice reacted to this

I'm sorry, though I'm not seeing any correlation here? The main reason I'm looking for bosses for Kilkis Seres is because they have fewer characters, and a number of them are inactive. I'm kind of trying to compensate for the lack thereof. Besides, a good challenge is always fun. I'll post today, but not yet. Vaude 536 Posted August 17, 2017 Why do we need bosses? Wars aren't like rpgs. I agree with the others. In addition, think of the bosses as strong and decorated warriors and not bosses, per se. They are temporary individuals to equal out the war fronts and make everyone have a good time by fighting at their fullest, not just fight nameless pathetic soldiers who don't know how to use a spear (use the pointy end,THE POINTY END!). Also, hoo boy. Raiden v. Jynn? Since this is their first meeting, I think it is only suitable to have Raiden cut Jynn's hand off and banter back and forth about genealogy like space wizards. Vaude 536 Posted August 17, 2017 It'll be a mystery, that is for certain, but I'm looking forward to this duel of sorts!
