Endless Thundaga 533 Posted July 2, 2018 I'm laughing at the prospect of Jynn meeting her. "M...mother? Y...YOU'RE EIGHTEEN." Kinda thinking for him to be a cameo character after this RP. So Bherna might meet her first and the explain the situation to him. But it would be interesting see his initial reaction.
Elrandir 783 Posted July 2, 2018 Not that a sequel is confirmed; this is just a character that I'd love to bring on board if a sequel does happen (which I very much hope does). I just can't help but muse over possibilities for a sequel in the North. I actually agree with you in that character revivals often cheapen a death. It really depends on how it's done, though, and what overall effect it has on the rest of the cast of characters, in my opinion. I do get where you're coming from. . I don't really intend for Shiva to be revived, though, so I think it would be different. Sequel progress: 10-15% (?) Too bad the Dragon twins didn't get their claws on Shiva's soul. Umbra would have been very happy to play with it, for a time. Ya'll are just making me so freaking hyped for a possible sequel like oh my god. So much could be done, and this new character and an amnesiac Eclaire could be such an interesting pair. Useless lesbian with no memories. Shiva's reincarnation of sorts. And a whole world of insanity. Hey! I'm glad that you guys are excited for a possible sequel. Makes me want to focus more of my free time to work on it. Wonder how Bherna would react, should Elrandir go through with the RP. Giving her enough time I'm sure she will accept that her grandmother is gone and that she needs to move on, but that doesn't mean forgetting about Shiva, she would rather honor her memory. Elrandir 783 Posted July 2, 2018 If they ever even get close to getting Shiva's soul. Maxis is gonna flip. Even more than he already has. I'm sure Maxis would totally hate Umbra if he knew what he could do with the queen's poor soul. Sadly, I couldn't take those two to Kilkis in time for them to talk with Yev, so they don't really know where Shiva's body is. But perhaps there is another prize for them in the future. 2 Mystics Apprentice and Nero Kunivas reacted to this

Nah, Maxis would not feel hate towards Umbra. He'd feel pity. For even if umbra tried to tackle Maxis on a soul-Like fashion, he'd have to deal with the literal thousands of split souls and personalities, including a fully redneck Maxis with a chainsaw. And let me tell you, i am not showing Maxis's full power in his battle with Meksis. And I probably won't, he's the Hellsing ultimate's Alucard of this RP. Im sure their target isn't Henry though, Thank god. 1 Nero Kunivas reacted to this

Neither Raishan nor Umbra have any interest in Henry. He is not useful as a piece in Raishan's game nor an important soul for Umbra.

Would Umbra take an interest in Shiva's reincarnate (whose name will likely be Solstice), since the girl possesses Shiva's soul? That would explain why some ordinary girl gets herself involved with the new cast. 2 Scrapmaster and Nero Kunivas reacted to this

That would explain why some ordinary girl gets herself involved with the new cast. If he learns that the queen's soul didn't go beyond the divine gate and instead is inside the girl, then I suppose he would try to get it before it has the chance to cross to the afterlife. It would be fun seeing umbra trying to collect Maxis's soul. A soul so twisted its not even partialy f this reality or dimension. He'd have to be on his A game to even have a chance. We will see. Sounds like a good challenge for a nice reward.
Vaude 536 Posted July 2, 2018 (edited) I kind of read this whole exchange about Umbra as the Elder Scrolls Umbra. Same gist, entirely different individual . . . unless Umbra took on his sword's name. All-in-all, this is pretty cool stuff. I love the idea of a reincarnated Shiva. Sora's Baby 729 Posted July 3, 2018 Let me rephrase my earlier statement: In the case of Shiva's death unless the reincarnation is written very well I don't think it would come off as anything other than cheap. ~If Mystics handled it the way he says treating them as different characters, that would work. Elrandir 783 Posted July 3, 2018 If Mystics handled it the way he says treating them as different characters, that would work. I think that was the point from the very beginning. Sure, the character may have some glimpses of Shiva's memories and quirks, but she is not Shiva, she is her own person. 3 Nero Kunivas, Mystics Apprentice and Vaude reacted to this

Vaude 536 Posted July 3, 2018 You would be correct, Elrandir. Mystics meant that Shiva's reincarnation/lookalike would have a different life and personality in total, though Solstice's (I love that name) soul, and perhaps affinity for water, would be transpositioned to her. 2 Mystics Apprentice and Nero Kunivas reacted to this

Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted July 3, 2018 I may have misunderstood, but the way it was written implied it would be more of a direct reincarnation. So what I meant by reincarnation is that Shiva's spirit has been reincarnated upon the world, within a new individual and living a new life. I was honestly thinking about (don't laugh) Seto Kaiba and Priest Seto, who share the same spirit but are totally different individuals. It would be very much like that. 2 Vaude and Nero Kunivas reacted to this

I was thinking the same for a moment, then I remembered that other character's name. The one I meant was mage Clow Reed from Cardcaptor Sakura. He died and his spirit was later reborn inside another kid who knew a little about his own past memories, amd could also use some of his power, but they were different from one another. 1 Mystics Apprentice reacted to this

I know those are old shows but, spoilers?
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted July 5, 2018 I know those are old shows but, spoilers? They're not really considered spoilers because it is not new content. If it's something that everyone has had the chance to see it is fair game. Kind of like spoilers for KH titles. We remove our spoiler policy after about a month or two after release, because by then everyone has had the chance to play it if they really wanted. Otherwise, almost anything would be a spoiler and it would get very hard to speak. 1 Nero Kunivas reacted to this

It's not as easy as you think to watch older animes especially when I can't buy or pay for them, also character deaths should always be a spoiler.
Vaude 536 Posted July 6, 2018 (edited) I think you are misunderstanding the spoilers thing, SB. For one, these anime can be viewed easily and for free via a legit site called Crunchyroll and others like it, and for another these deaths give only mild spoiler information and hold mild intrigue. If I said Rosebud was his sled or Kaiba... grows a goatee and dances the kazachok on rows of children's tables after beating them at a trading card game ...that might be another situation entirely for audiences because the entire plot revolves around that centric idea. Besides, spoiler tabs are easy to click on without thinking about it much. Edited July 6, 2018 by Vaude

It's not as easy as you think to watch older animes especially when I can't buy or pay for them, also character deaths should always be a spoiler. I'm sorry if we spoiled things for you. I still disagree that these things are considered spoilers worthy of spoiler tabs, but I respect your viewpoint. Cardcaptor Sakura is an awesome series, though I too haven't had the chance to finish it (I may never get around to it, but you never know!). It's tough on the Internet because there are so many spoilers for so many things tucked everywhere. Also, I didn't mean to make it sound like you should be able to just go out and watch these things personally--it can be hard sometimes. What I meant was, generally speaking, spoilers are only good and considered spoilers for the first few months of the release of something, and then after that they're fair game, even if they still spoil it for some people. It's a complicated situation. Again, I meant no offense, and I apologize if I ruined things for you.
