I hadn't actually thought about Soren knowing of the Source of All Life, but that actually works out perfectly.  Good call, Kunivas!  I was struggling to figure out what would prompt Raiden's party to pursue the device, and that was perfect.

 

Also, when everyone gets to Isopolis I'm going to try to do something a little different, in that there will be a series of trials and challenges that the players will have to undergo in order to reach the Source of All Life housed within.  The end is nigh; I really cannot believe it.

 

Lastly, does anyone want Effie?  I considered taking her on but I truthfully have too many characters and do not see enough that I can do with her character plotwise.  I'm thinking to let her be an NPC or just there, unless someone wishes to play her.

I had no plans with Yev and Visco, so she can be either rescued or wished to Mystras.  Given the timing of other events I think it may work out better if she is wished to Mystras rather than saved (I'm also inclined toward this because Elrandir asked first), but if you guys want to work out the details I'm fine with that.

 

Also: Effie is yours, Scrap.  You can either have her be among the survivors, or imprisoned in the Kilkis Seres dungeons thanks to the king of Helvadoria, whichever works best for you.

I'm hoping to make the challenges be entertaining.  I want to test each character on an array of aspects, some pertaining to strength, while, yes, others will be intelligence.  I was thinking that there's also the possibility that some characters may simply not pass, and as such they would face either being left behind, or, potentially, death.

 

If anyone has any thoughts or requests for the trials please feel free to share them with me either via PM or on here.  I'm working on putting them together now, but am hoping to gain enough of them that this part of the RP lasts for at least a little while.

Alderon's frustrations seem to disappear as soon as Soren brings up his past duties at Isopolis, explaining that the shrine holds "The Source of All Life". The Source of All Life, yes, Jynn has been told about this before, although just recently.

I was just curious how Jynn came to learn of the Source of All Life, as very few do happen to know of its existence?  Even Queen Shiva was not aware that such a thing existed.  The only way that Yevgeni learned of it was through King Alexander, Midnea through extensive dabbling in dark matters and over a thousand of years of research, and Soren because he served there.  I'm not saying that it would be impossible, but just very, very unlikely, and I was intending for this plot point to be something of a recent reveal to most characters, not something that would be commonly known.

I agree with Mystic in that wishing Visco back would save us time. If she is back to Mystras wthat would give Alderon some time with her before going to Isopolis, where he could probably die. Instead of waiting for Alex's attempt to rescue her and Effie. And how would he know that Visco is there, I thought Yev had her hidden in the castle.

I volunteer Alderon to face the 'souls' of the subjects he submitted to the experiments for the sake of advancement and having the hard choice of "If you had a chance, would you have done it differently?" and how far is he willing to go again and BAM dead *heavy breathing*...but ya know anything's fine. For Helios, if he goes, I think it's more of a psychological, morality issue of will he be willing to change all he knew for the sake of the better good even if it meant breaking his rule of never killing anyone. Arthur, if he goes, would be his divide between his Fey blood and Human blood, and forced to choose between the power to protect as a Fey or the pride of being human despite being just that; human. Ooooor prove how far he would go for his loyalty yeet yeet yeet

I'm thinking that Isopolis has something to interfere with magic, but that's just me. If that is true then it would be easier to just bring Visco back. I also want to give Alderon some peace of mind regarding his daughter. Edited May 15, 2018 by Elrandir

If it were so easy to get into Isopolis, Soren would've been out of a job before his betrayal.

 

Then he'd have to take a side business of making S'mores with Hellfire just to make ends meet.

Well, no one knows about Effie, so if Visco is back then Effie could work for your plan with Alex.

 

There is also the fact that Yevgeni will be on high alert after Visco disappears into thin air in front of his eyes.

So, what would you guys like to do? Do I save that wish and allow Alex's rescue mission? or would you rather have Visco back safetly before her father goes to Isopolis? I'm asking to those who would probably be involved in that sub-plot. I think that would be Scrap, and Star (probably), I think. I wouldn't want to mess with your fun and your plans. This should be fun for everyone. And I do admit that there is some potential in that path.

 

So? What do you guys think?

Hey there doods! I'm back!  

 

Sorry I was gone for like... ever BUT! I'm back & ready to RP again! I'm also mostly caught up with the RP, just speed running through the last few pages before I'll be up to date. However I have no idea what's been said here in the signups so if I missed anything important here please tell me K? I'll update the character list on page 2 soon too, K doods.

 

Also Mystic, I've noticed you've been RPing both Midnea & Visco without my permission while I was gone. I've looked at those posts for them & I'm willing to let it all slide since there was nothing totally to my disliking about them. But maybe for the future if you should need my characters for story progression or just in general, ask in advance just in case I happen to vanish again, K dood? I'll also be taking back control of those 2 now that I'm back. Also, I have some stuff I wanna PM you about to Mystic, regarding the path you've put Midnea on & the remaining Punishers which there'll be only 3 left, since 1 was defeated within the world below events that took place before that world exploded. I see I also got a few PMs I gotta read too. Also Mystic! I see you've created the Helvadore king already but, I please name him?! I got a name thought up that I think you'll like & I think will suit his king status.
