Endless Thundaga 533 Posted September 7, 2017 Also, another thing that is common in Florida is freaking sinkholes. Evey time a rainstorm passes, I manage to accidentally step on a small sinkhole. My worst memory was when I still had my horse, Celtic. We were at a show in Ocala, and during the flat test (walk, trot, canter) one of Celtic's forelegs fell into a 10 inch sinkhole, causing me to fall overboard over his neck and head. Celtic was lame for a few days after that.
Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted September 7, 2017 The UK is of the fortune to not receive either Hurricanes or Tornadoes, but I am no less worried about those here who have to deal with them up close and personal. As a matter of fact, Tornadoes do happen here, but very, very rarely and not particularly strong, but it's enough for me. I actually had a bizzare dream earlier when I was sleeping, probably brought about by all this, wherein many fast-forming, strong Tornadoes appeared during our commute, only allowing us escape by the skin of our teeth into a large, oddly tranquil building with many people on computers. It was scary and...interesting, like the Human Mind itself. In any case, my best wishes are with all of those in Irma's path. And my post will come soon. On that note, I'm perfectly fine with an increase in how many days we can take, but I think I might go mad if I'm required to make shorter posts.
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted September 8, 2017 After more thought, I think we are going to stick with the same posting rules that we have presently, and if things come up every now and again where you need an extra day to post we can just work with it. I understand that Thundaga is being affected by Irma, however, so of course exceptions apply here. Thank you everyone for your input! i'd say up to five days, especially with the whole hurricane business going on where thundaga lives (Stay safe fam). I've not had much trouble with it, since im unemployed now so I got some free time to post. I don't believe anyone is waiting for me at the moment. I also think its about time to make a war update post detailing how the flanks are holding, I think this is as good a time as any. P.s: if you value your legs, never do treadmil on leg day, especially after the training. Trust me. Hmm, I thought about giving more time, or even as much as six days (three days from the time you posted, and then three days following the opposing player's post), but I think too much of an extension may drag fights out for far too long, especially since we're going to tie up the this combat session soon. Thank you for the suggestion, nonetheless! Input really helps and gives me multiple things to think about. I'm planning to give an announcement when troops are commanded to withdraw, probably once these current battles reach a conclusion. There's so much great action going on currently that I would hate to interrupt, and I feel until these battles resolve there really wouldn't be that much to add to an update. I am, however, updating the war intro post with the current healer standings, if that is of help. In Puerto Rico we didn't have to worry about tornadoes. There had been like one or two waterspouts and they've only been seen in coastal cities and usually off the coast. Maybe one Earthquake or two but never something really big. Ever since moving to Texas though, tornadoes have given me a crippling fear of rain. Because they're so sudden and there's no warning of where it will show up and when I can't sleep on rainy nights anymore. It's 100 degrees out here lately~ Though, there's no humidity like in Puerto Rico, so there's that. Ugh, I hated worrying about tornadoes when I lived in Texas. I was in the DFW region, so we weren't hit quite as bad, but I did indeed watch the sky turn green as golf-ball-sized hail rained down and took roofs off of homes a few blocks away. Great times. I hope that you're enjoying Texas, however, regardless of what part you're in. It's a great state to call home and I really miss it there. Yeah, in Alabama, we get both, though a hurricane has to be pretty determined to get up to me.Anyway, sorry for the delay, Mystic. Lost track of time. Did Hurricane Katrina affect you in Alabama? I could be mistaken, though for some reason I was thinking that Alabama was affected. Glad that you're a ways inland, though. As much as I would love to live off the coast it's just so scary. And no worries about the delay. I'll get a post in for Shiva soon. 1 Nero Kunivas reacted to this
Sora's Baby 729 Posted September 8, 2017 I'm just in Maine just kinda chilling with the Canadians and watching as storms and the like mess up all kinds of places. Meanwhile, nothing is coming near Maine.

If I remember correctly, a couple of cities closer to the gulf got hit that volunteers were helping clean up, though I don't thing they were hit as bad as New Orleans. I am very glad that you made it out of Florida safely. Did you fly or drive? I saw how badly the roads were backed up and heard about the awful gas shortages; I fear for everyone still out on the road when the hurricane hit.

I actually only ever had to make a stop to refuel one time. Georgia and Tennessee gas stations still have fuel surprisingly, and we were stuck in a two hour traffic jam in Georgia, but the rest was smooth sailing. My home might survive the storm if Irma keeps it's track westward. If Henry finds out Aurion is in trouble and Maxis is keeping him from helping him, well...Yeah. The landscape won't be the same afterwards. Endless Thundaga 533 Posted September 11, 2017 I have some good news and some bad news. Good news is that I still have a standing house back in Florida. Bad news is that I have no power, so I'll have to stay in Tennessee for a few more days and post from my phone. I felt the need to let you guys know.

I can say the same for Elrandir too. Also, one doesn't often see a shooting Henry star. Make a wish, Reginald.
