Midnea: "I was the one who killed Arianna. That little pest of a fey tried to save Helios from the fate that she herself took on from me, I trapped her easily & then used her in one of my old ritual magic formulas to give my king's knights the power of magic to be of use in the upcoming war with my own kind. I split her magic & gave it to some humans. Henry Hansees, Everyth Castanova & Gelabrous Skid, those are some of the humans I gave her magic & blood too. However I wasn't expecting this Henry to betray my king & free Helios before I could use the same ritual on him as I used on Arianna... Along with that Gelabrous managing to escape my king's hold is rather annoying also..." (All this info is true to it's words too, how crazy is that? haha )

Basically. I PM'd Mystics about Henry suffering from nightmares and a female voice in his head. At first it was because Henry would have inherited the most power out of Ariana. 

 

But I went further on that, I didn't have the chance to PM it to Mystics about this: basically after the initial experiments and granting Henry his power. Ariana was confined in another cell, away from Helios. Her state constantly deteriorating and declining as her health dwindled. But kept alive by Alderon.

 

Henry, after a month of servitude with his powers, was now fed up with how things were and these experiments, with so many friends's lives futilely lost, Henry went to her cell to break her out. But when he saw the state she was in...he had to mercy kill her. 

 

The moment he killed her, her body caused a energy reaction, exploding in a magical energy that was almost fully absorbed by Henry's magic (since Ariana and Henry shared the same magic, Henry absorbed it). And this boosted Henry's magic somewhat, but he never felt the same afterwards.

 

And now that he is in the Overworld his body and magic are mutating. And I planned to introduce Ariana being a ghostly voice in his head very soon.

 

 

TL:DR: Basically Henry mercy-killed Ariana and got posessed by her in a sense.

Ariana was confined in another cell, away from Helios. Her state constantly deteriorating and declining as her health dwindled. But kept alive by Alderon.

The moment he killed her, her body caused a energy reaction, exploding in a magical energy that was almost fully absorbed by Henry's magic (since Ariana and Henry shared the same magic, Henry absorbed it). And this boosted Henry's magic somewhat, but he never felt the same afterwards.

That's not bad idea for her death man, I like how you'll use Ariana as a ghost too. That's not bad idea for her death man, I like how you'll use Ariana as a ghost too. But the thing is she did died from Midnea's ritual magic as that was discussed & made true already near the very start of the RP signups the little hint of info is on page 2 post 31 in the spoiler Mystic left me which I went with in post 32 (my post) Maybe we can work something around this perhaps?

 

Only way I see of doing that is retconning her "Death because of the ritual" Slightly. Pretty much pput her in a fataly doomed state. Pretty much she was bound to die soon. Henry just mercy-killed her to put her out of her misery, and got posessed by her.

Sure man, we'll just say that Airana was special & managed to somehow survive even after the ritual was done, but her life force was constantly leaving her body from the ritual meaning she was gonna die soon anyways & that her state was just getting worse til that point & thats when Henry mercy-killed her. This sound cool to you?

I've already mentioned in Helios' post how Henry's overall aura and 'scent' felt familiar, that 'her blood runs through his veins', so the whole ghost thing and mercy killing would add to that and oh my goooood the feelings would be so mixed poor Helios is already so screwed this is going to be another blast to his already fragile heart and I am ready

Sorry guys!  I know we'd discussed doing the timeskip today, though I ended up going out of town and didn't manage to get any of that done.  I should be more available tomorrow, though, and would be able to get things set up for the time-skip.  I do know that those in Raiden's villa are going to start out in a conference with Raiden, so I'll allow Vaude to set that one up.

Former Princess of the Succubus Capital of Mare Luxeria, the sister city to Mare Luxerion, Capital of the Valkyries, Xion has been deposed as ruler by her more cutthroat people after her affair with the Queen of the Valkyries, the light-filled Zion. Silhouette is kept in a choker. It summons a massive magitek mecha. Controlling it, Magical Device Silhouette is unable to function for more than seven minutes. Can only be used twice per day.
Drawback: Slow and tanky. Fast glass cannons can take it down without trouble. Stands 13 feet tall, sword is 7 feet long. Used for fighting monsters, usually.

Magical Device “Majestic Zhulong”
Majestic is kept within Takao locket. Upon activation, the locket opens and detaches from the chain. Floating, Takao can fire one Majestic Beam a day, or risk draining all her magic.
Drawbacks: only about a five foot circumference. Cannot level anything bigger than a barn. If that.

Magical Device “Tsundere Epona”
Created from a braclet. Literally just a boat with magic cannons. Only useable on water. Cannons take Takao’s life energy, meaning she has to store up beforehand. 99% just here to explain how they get across the sea fast.
Also a horse. Because walking and flying is tiresome. No cannons on the horse, that's just silly.
Boat mode: one time activation. Reasonably fragile if not reinforced. Once a day, weapons can drain her and force the boat to disappear. Weapons act like volleys, not beams. Easy to dodge if you're smaller than a galleon.

Horse mode: any time. It's just a horse.

Magical Device “Tsukuyomi Unit Khepri”
Created from the tattoos on her back, Tsukuyomi Unit Khepri creates a shield that can grow larger if powered enough. Her ultimate defense. Once per day.
Drawbacks: Cannot move or use any other powers while it's activated. Mondirectional. Without enough power backing it, cannot grow and maintain integrity.
Aka: If used without proper energy reserves, bigger = weaker.

Magical Device “Lux Aurora”
The jewel in the guard of Takao’s sword, Reborn, glows. Ironically utilizing the sword, Reborn hovers before Takao and executes a wide range healing pulse. Simplest ability, depends on how many she is healing. More healing, more energy, less uses of anything.
Drawbacks: Can't revive the dead. One hundred foot radius.

If she loses any of the items (choker, locket, sword, bracelet) she cannot use her Magical Devices. Only Majestic Zhulong is kept due to it being tied to the runic tattoos on her back.

No magical devices can be used directly in random or she will become drained too fast and be helpless. This can also cause death.

Personality: Bubbly, energetic, a bit shy at times but true and loyal, Takao (aka Taka) is unwavering in loyalty and the sweetest Succubus ever. She is quite honestly so adorable not even Angels can lift a blade, nor can Ithurians find darkness.
Biography:
When the Izanami family was deposed and exiled from Mare Luxeria, the spirit of a Valkyrie long passed led them to the Parthenon of Mare Aurora - the Sea of Dawn. Drawn into its protection, the Izanami sisters were given shelter by the spirits that inhabited the Parthenon, and they resided there for decades. In that time, young Takao was found to posses a trait rare among Succubi: a heart of pure light, one filled with nothing but love and compassion. Unlike many succubi, who had to hone their abilities to not cause wanton murder, Takao has never had the problem. It was this heart that made Takao the High Priestess of Light, Etain.

It was a fancy title. Really...No one visited. She would pray and pray, but the answer was all the same.

Soon.

And soon enough...it did come true. Soon did come, and to them came. A single gilded feather fell, and with it came a vision. Fire. Sorrow. Death. Nothing could stop it.
But even after the darkest of nights, morning would come.

And so Takao, known as Etain, the Priestess of Light, set off with her sister to Kilkis Seres to warn them of the impending sorrow...so at least the last words would be ones of love, and not mistaken anger.

Of course Taka 5ook a wrong turn at Mermaid Island and accidentally ended up with a mermaid harem for a bit, but they're almost to the Beach!

It was a good thing she stored up energy and had a harem...otherwise she'd be hungry! Really hungry.

Looks good, though there are a couple of points that I'd like to touch on real quick:

 

Xion is accepted, though there may have to be some revisions done on Takao's weaponry.  The era is a medieval one, and even within the Overworld their mechanical resources are limited.  Things such as mechas and vehicles haven't been anywhere near invented yet, so Silhouette of Atum could not be used, and perhaps not the boat mode either because I am uncertain about such a summoning.  The rest should be okay.

 

I was planning on the majority of characters being from locations on the world map and didn't really want many outsiders and other locations existing in greater detail.  I will make an exception here, so long as Xion and Takao have a place in the current world and their past home does not play a vital role to the current storyline.  Their home was a distant location from within the Overworld somewhere, correct?

 

Lastly, I wanted to discuss my concerns of the succubi in general.  Mature themes kind of tend to be in the nature of a succubus, which I feel doesn't really fit the theme of the roleplay and is a little out of my comfort zone.  If you don't mind, I'd like to keep the details and concept of their feeding to a minimum and place more of an emphasis on their character and role in the story, essentially as you're doing with Eclaire currently.  If you don't mind doing that I'd really appreciate it. : )

I'm not too sure that Sora's Baby or Endless are really enjoying this pairing between Jynn and Aqua anymore.  Perhaps we should give this subject a rest?  I don't want to make either of them feel uncomfortable.

 

Also Mystics, what are your plans for Jynn and Shiva? I know you want to timeskip today, but Jynn has a little bit more to say.

All that I really have set in stone for Ariana is that she is dead, so it's up to you guys on how you want her to be that way. : P  Knowing her she'd never agree to a mercy killing and want to live through it all, right down to the bitter end to spit in their faces, but Henry could've still done it because he knew how much she was suffering.  I'll let you guys decide how you want to go about it, though.  I'm pretty fine with whatever. ; )

Dawson - Mystras Gates joining the fight against the Knight in Red

 

As Alastor arrives, he tells Dawson the details of the mysterious beast. "A doom hound? The Guild has mentioned the beast and its rarity plenty of times...... Never thought I'd see one myself...." Alastor then explains more about the hound. The Palico is intrigued. Huh...... A challenge! Dawson immediately notices Rabiyu attacking the beast with magic. "Well, they seem strong. Very strong." Dawson's hunting instinct kicks in heavily. "I shall assist you two in any way I can!" He pulls out a horn and plays a melody to give Alastor and Rabiyu a temporary boost to their powers. Dawson calls forth a large and extremely sharp boomerang coated with a paralyzing liquid, and hurls it at the beast.

 

Regardless if the boomerang paralyzed the beast or merely damaged it, the Palico then summons his axe and coats it with a strange powder. It made the axe blade heat up dramatically, and any strike from it may release explosive damage to the beast. He runs up to the hound and takes a couple of slashes before jumping back to Alastor and Rabiyu's side.

 

I was about to go to sleep when I saw this. Just to clarify, Rabs isn't attacking the Doom Hound, she is hiding behind the pillar of one of the many buildings, and she is waiting for the right moment to attack. Maybe Dawson could sense she was there, but I find that a little too hard since she didn't make any noise when she arrived and eveything is dark and her cloak makes her blend with the shadows. Just wanted to point that out.
