This RP has intrigued me for a while, but I haven't been here a while...so now I must make up for lost time and give this a whirl.

Magic: Infernal Pyromancy: A branch of the Pyromancy Magic Tree, where the user can manipulate Hellfire: Flames that burn with a heat that could touch the very soul of a being. Essentially, it allows Soren to throw Fireballs, project a torrent of Flame as a Flamethrower from his hands, cause explosions of lava and flame to erupt from the ground (With some warning), punch the ground to send a line of flame and earth that homes in very, very slightly, punch or stomp to create glowing cracks in the ground, either to intimidate or to cause a delayed explosion. He can wreathe himself in Hellfire and he does so often for intimidation. His most powerful attack is him simply expelling Hellfire all around him in a large explosion, but he gives a long, very telling indication of when he's about to unleash this raw power as he has to charge up first.

 

Power of Darkness: Soren is born not only of Fire, but of Shadow, allowing him to also use the Dark Arts, using Orbs of Darkness that can be suspended in the air as traps, cloak himself in Darkness to hide in the Shadows or, to a greater extent, expel a Dark Shroud to coat a small area in a blinding Darkness. A passive ability of his is a Dark Aura that corrupts weak humans with Darkness (Only works on NPCs.).

 

Weapons: Blade of Cinder - A Greatsword imbued with the essence of Hellfire that causes it to be wreathed in flames, this is Soren's weapon of choice when charging into combat, even though he is competent enough to fight with merely his powers and his fists.

Personality: Compared to most Fey, who while considerate still enforce the rule of no interference, Soren is different: He would prefer they did interact with the world below, but only as long as the Humans knew their place in the universe and did not hurt any of his people. He is ruthless, sometimes cold (heh), displays moments of aggression and can be dismissive, along with seeming like a "grumpy old man" as he's seen a lot in his three thousand years of life, but he's not incapable of humour, understanding and even compassion, displaying these traits when necessary. His problem is that his abrasiveness is usually front and centre a lot of the time, so he is judged on the surface by others. He isn't seen as foolish however, as he is wise, which he should be, he's lived for three thousand years, he just has a rather...blunt way of telling people how it is and advising them. Overall, he has his people's best interests at heart and he will be proactive when the time calls for it, doing everything in his power to see an objective completed, a message relayed and his purpose realised. Whatever the cost.

 

Biography: Soren Monroe has lived for a very long time, seeing wars pass, empires rise and fall, countless seasons go by and yet, Human and Fey are still separated, most Humans being unaware of the Overworld and the majority of Fey opposed to even descending into the Underworld. The bureaucratic nonsense perpetrated throughout the millennia has been grating at Soren, yet until recently, nothing has happened to cause him to speak up any more than he has about it. However, with King Alderon becoming ambitious and willing to capture any stray Fey and experiment on them to take their power, Soren is thinking that this is the push he needs. Because if Alderon were to harness their power, his dominion over all Kingdoms would be absolute...and then where would he go next? As they say: The only way is up. The Overworld would be his next target and Soren knew it better than the rest of them...they'll realise he's right, no matter what he has to do to show it.

 

I may make more characters, but for now I'm testing the waters with this guy. How is he?

Hey, long time no see, stranger!  Soran looks quite interested and he is accepted, provided that his cloaking ability is restricted during combat.  It will be interesting to see how Soran goes about wanting to make the change, but his philosophy probably lies more in alignment to Lord Raiden of Mystras rather than Queen Shiva.  Shiva is the queen of the main Overworld continent that the story takes place in, and she upholds to the ancient laws that her father and many other rulers before him set into place.  It's going to get complex and fascinating, but overall you bring up some very intriguing points in Soran's bio.

 

I look forward to seeing him in action, and it's good to RP with you again!

Sorry for keeping you guys waiting on me. especially you Scrap & Mystic I tried to make my post on sat so you guys could post for the deadline but I was dragged away before I could finish the post & then I couldn't post at all on sun as I was extremely busy so sorry again guys & I've posted now so let us continue to awesomeness! haha

I know, I know.  =P  I was having enough fun seeing you two converse about Fire Emblem, and I think I made mention of my liking Fire Emblem back when Yuffie/Emmy was around, but it's great to talk about Fire Emblem with fans again.  Now, to reply to every subject ever.

 

Sakura truly is nice, but I guess it was a choice between Kaden and Corrin really early on in Birthright and I decided Corrin is the more believable of the two.  I stared in awkward disbelief when I saw Sakura's and Kaden's love bloom by siestas, and then I was like "I wonder what would happen if I paired brother with sister?" and then I was like "Mystics would think if I paired brother with sister?"  In the end, the reaction panned out, the strangely still sanctimonious union was cute, and I was bombarded with two bonding dialogues ever since that got old so . . . very . . . fast.

 

Swordmaster is the way to go for everything, in the old games as well as the new ones.  Astra is phenomenal, Swordfaire crushes competition, Vantage is horrendously devastating, and Duelist Blow is elegantly lifesaving.  Combine that with a skill %-up and watch devastation unfold.  Heroes are awesome as well.  I don't know about Arthur being one, however.  An unlucky true man among men shouldn't be lying in wait with a Brave Sword (afterwards getting horrendously butchered when Elise tells Effie or him to stand down, making him very unlucky).  Maybe a Brave Axe.

 

Brockama!  I'll have to get those two together and learn why Akama is how he is, but that Sophie and Corrin conversation sounds great as well.  I'll let you know of my findings.

 

Finally, I have only played Conquest and Birthright, having borrowed library editions and not wanting to spend twenty USD on something I need to buy for myself that costs forty USD, and then there's the Map Packs which will drain me of another twenty.  That's eighty dollars total for a handheld game, which is too much for me, so I'd probably wait on Revelations until a quieter time.  Oh! and for the first selection of the games?  Nohr for the challenge factor, and strangely enough I love the story better than Birthright, even though I did not complete that one before having to return it (unlike Birthright).  What's strange is that both games didn't really tie into each other or feel complete, which is why Revelations came in, I guess.  How about yourself?  Which one did you pick up first?

 

Haha I haven't found the support dialogues old or annoying just yet but that might be because I'm always checking them after any battle I do, but that's just how I roll with the support dialogues haha Also you should read what I'll be telling Mystic in a spoiler about the whole brother/sister marring thing as you might think differently when you read the truth K.

 

Oh yeah! Astra is a great as skill when you have high skill stats & a brave sword equipped haha I also do love having the skill Swordfaire with any sword class, I mean, why not right? +5 damage with a sword equipped haha Also my most fav skill combo is Aegis & Pavise, great as Def if ya got high skill stats of course haha As for Arthur being a Hero class, he'd be better as a berserker class I think & yeah, I find his better with an axe than a sword haha    

 

As for which side I chose first, it's Nohr & I'll be a Nohrian for life even when I finished all the paths & let me say this 

 

"Vaude, my friend. It's good to see you chose the side of Nohr first where we are family by our strong bond, that my friend beats blood any day. So I say welcome fellow Nohrian Vaude." said Nohrian Unversed totally in character again haha  

 

I have all 3 paths of Fates, I chose to side with Nohr first, Hoshido second & of course Revelations last as Revelations should always be played last. Also Revelations is in fact the true story for Fates, not the other 2 paths which is a little weird I guess. But hey, more gameplay means for fun haha did you ever make it to the Eternal Stairway mission in Conquest?

 

 

Now, now, I'm not a Hoshidan by choice!   I haven't played any of Conquest yet, but we were borrowing Birthright from my local library and so it's the first game in the series the at I'm playing it.  So does this mean we would still face off on the battlefield?  *looks hopeful*

 

I would much prefer to choose Nohr, as I felt so sorry for Corrin's family that he/she had to turn against.  Personally I feel that I would choose to side with the family that had raised me as opposed to the one I was born to, because I feel that one's family consists of those you are closest to, regardless of blood.  I also know that ... So I'm rather shaken up by that.

 

I actually went with a female Corrin to see that side of things, and I have paired her up with Silas.  It was a close call between Silas and Jakob, really, but I really was moved by Silas being so dedicated to Corrin and their support conversations were sweet.  I'm not sure about other pairings at the moment, but I have Hayato and Orochi at A-support right now.  I kind of like Orochi and Jakob, I think it was, so I may do that.  I'm not sure yet.  Which characters did you pair up, beyond Kaden and Sakura?  Who did your main character marry?

 

Who are your favorite units/characters?  Mine personally are Orochi, Setsuna, Jakob, Silas, Subaki, Asugi and Felicia, but there's so many others as well.  For some reason I am not much of a fan of Azura, but that may just be me.

 

I'm on chapter 11, I think, but that's predominately because I'm taking on many challenges and playing very slow.  That's life's other obligations for you in a nutshell. : P  I'm not too too worried about spoilers, as I've seen a bit of the game later on as well, but I appreciate you not sharing huge things just in case.  I knew that Lilith dies, though, and I couldn't help but crack up whenever I saw "Oh, Lilith . . . " and watch the food fade away.  I mean, feeding a dead fish food?!  Come on!

 

I really love the game thus far, and it is awesome to learn that you are also a Fire Emblem fan! *gives virtual high-five*  It's also interesting to hear that you prefer Awakening over Fates, but I'm glad that I'm not alone.  I loved the soundtrack in that game so much better.

 

To be honest I think you paired Sakura and Corrin just to spite me, because you knew how much I was against the whole brother-and-sister ordeal. : P  It wouldn't be the first time, but anyhow!  I entirely agree with you about the bonding conversations.  It got so dull *so* fast.

 

And ah, Akama.  I think he's just hilarious, along with that one blond guy from the neutral country of, oh, Izumo, wasn't it?  Izana?  I liked him. : P  Bon-bons and slippers for everyone!

Also I really need to clear up that whole brother/sister marring thing for you as there is something not said but hidden within the story itself that explains why you can do this, I'll keep it as spoiler free as I can, but check this spoiler out to learn the true K

Okay so, your character which is the main guy can marry to any of the Nohrian royals as they are a step siblings, this is okay in the game since they don't relate by blood to your main character. But why can you do this on the Hoshido side too when they are actually your real brothers & sisters you might say? well it's cause they aren't your real brothers or sisters after all. The Hoshido brothers & sisters are actually your half siblings since their mother is also yours, but not your father. That's why you can marry them & the only true blood related person in the game that is your true sibling is an unplayable character who I won't say unless you wanna know K. Hope that clears all that mess up for you

 

 

Cool as! both me & one of my cousins that have Fates agreed to play through the game as our true genders first then after we finish all 3 paths were going to play them again but as a female version of ourselves haha 1 of the girls I know has the game too & she married Saizo but then realized she hates him & deletes her save file just so she can remarry & now she chose Jacob haha she also found out that she could have her female character have a child character created with another players male character. So she got my character with hers & they created a kid character. But you can only make 1 child character created with any players character. But she found a way around that & then got my character again & created another kid. Now I have 3 kids, all girls! 1 is an adult, 1 is a teen & the last is little Kana haha I took back my game before she made anymore haha

 

Silas is a pretty cool guy, I like how he sides with you no matter what side you pick, even the 3rd path he still joins you I already said it but I'll say it again with much fun. In my Birthright path I married Scarlet as I love her hair & her straight up honesty as for my marriage pairs I paired, Ryoma/Rinkah, Subaki/Hinoka, Sakura/Kaden, Hayato/Orochi, Azama/Oboro, Takumi/Setsuna, Saizo/Hana, Hinata/Kagero. That's all the ones I have married off in Birthright so far. As for my fav units in Birthright we have at the top, Hinata, Ryoma, Scarlet, Rinkah, Hinoka, Kaden, Silas & Felicia. Looks like we like mostly different units but we both like Silas & Felicia Haha Who did you marry off? & same here, I don't much like Azura but i don't dislike her either

Your post was great for Aqua! Your attack with Aqua was actually something I didn't see coming form her which was a nice surprise for me, so great job!

Overworld info

- high in the sky in the Overworld we have Queen Shiva ruling over pretty much all of the Overworlds land within her kingdom of Kilkis Seres & she has sent a group a (The group is currently - Erica, Rabiyu, Alicia, Baxter, Yevgeni, Elia & Jynn (her son) & Aqua) to investigate the kingdom of Mystras ruled by Lord Raiden who is under suspicion of violating the forbidden shrine (The forbidden shine holds many secrets & is the safeguard for the Overworld protecting it from outside threats) at Isopolis. The group is currently near the mountains of Mystras & had just finished fighting off a bunch of Ogres & a leader Ogre too. Jynn told everyone about his outpost is nearby & that everyone should head there to rest up & so Jynn is flying with Baxter & Erica heading there but Yevgeni, Rabiyu, Alicia & Elia haven't moved yet. 

- Their is a magic Fey-Elf-Genie that grants wishes named Rufus who was sold off by a greedy man to the high Elf Rabiyu who hasn't made a single wish yet.

- Meanwhile Lord Raiden has sent a strong man named Alastor to take care of a blabbermouth fox kid named Jari who both are currently within a bar named 'Flowering Hyssop'.

- Meanwhile an outside threat within Midnea's kingdom are just waiting for the chance to act against both worlds & they are known as Punishers & there are only 6 members of this group, 2 of which are Jimba & Pracia.

World Below info

- below on the ground of humans we have 3 main kingdoms, The kingdom of Augustus (Ruled by King Augustus who is Neutral & is colored green on world map), The kingdom of Helvadoria (Ruled by an unknown King who is at war with the kingdom of Sondon & is colored light-blue on world map), & the Kingdom of Sondon (Ruled by King Alderon Niles who is at war with the kingdom of Helvadoria & is colored red on world map).

- King Alderon rules most of the world below & has a daughter named Visco. Currently king Alderon with his royal advisor Midnea & his specially chosen knights are within his kingdom & are preparing to take off within a ship called 'Phoenix' to journey to the Overworld. Those chosen knights are Curvis, Arthur, Draksis, Raleigh, Manel & a mysterious man in red-royal armor. Both Visco & her personal guard Effie won't be going to the Overworld with them, Visco is saying her goodbyes to her father & Arthur who she is also in love with as she gave him a love letter. Arthur is on the ship & Draksis is still standing by, Manel is talking with Curvis, Raleigh distrusts Midnea & the mysterious man in red-royal armor & is now checking the ships content & passengers. Midnea is asleep with the royal-red knight guarding her.   

- Meanwhile a man named Henry who is a renegade is currently disguised as a random knight trying to free the prisoner Helios with the help of the 2 Aeternum Siblings, one named Aura (sister) & the other named Aurion (Brother) but both are within a prison cell themselves that is all apart of Henry's plan. But they are now trying to escape & Henry had Effie accompanying him to fetch Helios from his prison cell but Henry managed to send her away & Effie just gave him the prison keys. King Alderon sent to knights to check in on the 2 fetching the fey but Effie sent them off to prepare Visco's training. Effie is now with Visco near the ship.

- Visco was cursed to have a dog like appearance & dog traits by a Fey witch named Midnea who is also King Alderon's royal advisor, Visco has no memory of who cursed her. Visco is best friends with Effie too.

- Helios is 1 of the 3 Feys that ventured into the below world & has been captured by the king kept a prisoner & is in chains in a tight prison cell currently awaiting to be escorted to the King's Phoenix ship as he will be going with them to the Overworld as a prisoner.

- It's the early morning in this world right now too.
