Roleplay Game On (Roleplay)

Matthew followed Shantea's rampage through the noise, striking quickly after her to get the damage increase Bri had mentioned. It was pretty effective, and soon five of the frog noise he had attacked earlier were down.

Bri nodded at Anton's counter arguments while closely monitoring the screen, laughing when he paused and said obvious. "You make some good points, especially with the second," she paused to write that one down, "but first, you are talking about a guy who just said, and I quote," she glanced down at her notes, "'and together we will see this miserable world burned,' which, taken in context in that he is referring to fighting with Sho in Twilight Town, probably means he intends to harm the people there regardless of your reasoning. The second part of 'firstly' was fair, though. Third, there is a fine line between bravery and stupidity. In the face of the potential end of their world and ours, I will always err on the side of pragmatism." As for letting Matthew decide things, that was best no matter how you looked at it. He was the one who had been raised as basically a child soldier, he knew how to fight far better than her. Obviously. She turned away from Anton to hear Lax's advice, writing down the parts she hadn't known. "Hey Matthew, apparently Sho is a shapeshifter. You'll probably have to look out for that when his health goes down."

"Got it." Mathew finished off another frog as he tried not to pay attention to Sho's sob story. Villains were often liars, he knew that first hand, and this was the end of the world they were talking about. But... He could sympathize though, he worried about Bri and how... Almost reckless? she seemed sometimes. If she was killed for this, then... Slightly distracted, Matthew missed some signals as he finished off a seventh frog, and was slammed into the ground by a kangaroo. His high defense absorbed most of the hit, but it was a good wake up call. And hey, when he had fallen a bunch of the noise had come closer, trying to hit him while he was down. It was almost like they were trying to make this easy. He jumped back a bit. Soma was out of range, and Shantae had moved forwards, so he cast Grand Gaia right in the center of the pack.

"Shrink now! Shrink now!" Lax yelled into the Synth seeing his partner's current situation.

Shantae's elephant body then shrunk down, back to her regular form below Sho. "Phew! Missed it." Shantae commented, skidding on then ground with her one hand and feet dragging across the floor. She looked behind herself to see the crumbling building. She gulped. The Evo code is no joke. But that doesn't mean she can't fight it. Shantae's eyes looked at Sho, who now had wings apparantly.

"Like Bri said, Sho's a shapeshifter, so watch out. Try to use your sheild to your advantage. I'm sending you the saber now in case you need it." Lax said, typing away on his laptop. Using the code, Lax can provide Shantae some items or weapons, but it does take time.

Shantae nodded and stood up, looking at Sho. "Why do you want to destroy us? What's the point anyway? You said the world will...You know...Die eventually, so why are you speeding up the process? Can't you just let us enjoy our lives as it is?" Shantae said, trying to reason with Sho in order to know his motives.

It was finally the lunch break and Sam immediately took out her smart phone after making sure that there was no chance that anybody was around. She looked at her screen and found that Dante was about to fight Sephiroth even after she asked him not to.

"Dante! What are you doing?! I said don't fight him!"

"Give me one good reason not to. He's an Evo, so it's not like he's on our side or anything."

"Then use your Devil Trigger and finish this quickly."

"Don't be stupid. What's the point if you use Trump Card at the beginning of the fight. Look, if things get dicey, then I'll go all out, but I'm not going to just do as you say because you want me to."

"But Dante, it's for you own good!"

There was no reply after that, Dante was ignoring her again. What did she do to deserve getting stuck with such an uncooperative partner? Sam sighed and just watched her screen, not knowing what else to do but watch the fight and hope Dante wasn't fooling around like usual.

Ignoring the advice of his Partner, Dante drew his Rebellion out in front of him, walking away from Sho and those who were confronting as he got ready to take on the One Winged Angel.

"You know, you sound awfully pretentious from where I'm standing. You seem to think for some reason that I'm underestimating you and that's where'd you be wrong. I'm just getting excited to fight someone strong for a change."

Dante then blew a flock of hair out of his eyes and smirked, pulling his blade backward like a lance.

"Well then, let's get this party started!"

Suddenly, Dante dashed forward almost instantly, driving his sword directly towards Sephiroth. The sword clashed against the enormous katana, but Dante continued his attack by now issuing his Trillion Stabs move, unleashing a barrage of lightning's fast lunges at Sephiroth. Seeing an opportunity, Dante gripped Rebellion with both hands and pushed the blade up against Masamune in a position that gave advantage to Dante. The half-demon then swiped his sword, throwing the One Winged Angel through the air with just his own strength. Chasing Sephiroth through the air, Dante began chaining flurries of attacks from almost all directions towards the swordsman, keeping him completely on the defensive. With a downward swipe of his blade, Dante narrowly missed Sephiroth but found the chance to move in without his sword, managing to land two quick punches and a strong kick to Sephiroth's chest. Stepping back slightly, Dante leaned against his sword that was stuck in the ground, smirking at Sephiroth.

"Come on, you're telling me that's all you got? I haven't even broken a sweat. Maybe this will kick things up a notch."

Dante drew his sword again, this time holding it backhanded as it slowly started glowing. In quick succession, Dante slashed his sword through the air, sending beam slashes flying directly towards Sephiroth.

"Come on, show me what you got!"

--Celes Chere--

Upon Cameron's words the general blinked.  He cared that much about her?  How could he, when she was just a pawn of a much greater conflict within the exterior world?  That she couldn't understand, nor did she attempt to.  Her responsibilities were simple: lead an army, gather intel for EVO, and survive.  Everything else seemed trivial.

"Right, Cameron.  I will report to you if I uncover anything."  The blond then sighed, sitting back on the ground with her back leaned against a log.  Sometimes she didn't know why she kept going when her pursuits weren't her own.

"General Celes?  General!  Report!"  A soldier emerged from around the corner of their camp, and upon eye contact darted over in her direction.  Celes rose as the man approached, urgency in his composure and stance.  Her ice-blue eyes surveyed him dismally, before asking in a low tone.  "Yes?  What information do you have to share with me?"

"It is Twilight Town, ma'am," the other soldier replied.  "It is currently being attacked by EVOs."

"Right," Celes responded, though internally she couldn't help but think, "How foolish."  "We will leave the EVOs to their fight in Twilight Town, then.  Unless we are summoned as reinforcements, or Lord Cameron beckons us, we have no business there.  Our job is to gather intel on the Betas, and that's precisely what we're going to be doing."

Her men seemed disgruntled by her decision, but they did not protest.  Instead they saluted her, exclaiming, "General!" before obediently joining the other soldiers in the barracks.  Of course, Celes would aid a soldier in need, but she didn't feel the time was right, not yet.  Instead, they had much more important business, namely infiltrating Space Paranoids while Tron was away.  After what seemed like hours her men slowly began to fill in around the fireside, grabbing rations and snarfing down beverages.  Once they were more properly fed Celes rose, eyeing each one of her soldiers before speaking.  "Men, the sun has risen, and we are now inches from what we pursue.  Information, lots of it, lie only a short distance away.  You may encounter oddities, surreal sights even for you, but remember your simple goal: obtain the files on the beta partners, and Vector will reign once more!"

A loud cheer sounded from the group, as they fist-pumped and jumped.  "General Celes!"

The blonde did not respond, instead stepping off her log and resuming her position as leader.  "Let us go, men!"

--Mithos Yggdrasil--

Heavy breathing escaped a small boy no older than twelve or thirteen years old as he glanced around wildly.  His blue eyes were wide and huge; he was trapped under a collapsed section of Twilight Town, no doubt from the earth-shattering attack Matthew had recently executed.  His small hands wrapped around the bars of the window, staring out helplessly into the sky.  Not too far he could see a battle taking place, though they probably wouldn't notice--or care--about a child trapped within a building.

"Help!" the blond boy cried out, shaking at the bars miserably.  "Please, someone!  I'm trapped!"  At this the boy, called Mithos, took a step backward, raising his hands and casting fire upon the bars.  For a moment they glowed a hot red, but then faded back to their dull tone.  There would be no way that he could melt his way out.  Even those with magic could be at a heavy disadvantage.

"Help . . . help me."  The boy sat on the ground, wrapping his arms around his knees clutched tightly to his chest, hoping that someone would find him, and soon.

As Kite was getting closer to the battle taking place he could hear something.  Or someone as it turns out.  He can hear someone crying out for help not too far away.  Skidding to a halt, Kite thought:  Oh no!  Someone's in trouble!  He turned to the direction where the voice came from and then back at the battle.  The Evo's will have to wait.  Someone needs help!  Kite runs away from the action to search for whoever is in danger.  As he reaches where the voice came from, Kite shouts:  "Hello!  Is anyone here?!  Please tell me where you are!"

Tyler made a right at one intersection, a left at another, and just rushed through a third.  Wiping a sweat off his forehead he thinks:  I'm almost there to the Hub.  Just a few more...What?!  Tyler slows down when he saw dozens of cars ahead of him.  "Of all the days for there to be traffic!"  Another car pulls up behind him.  Looking back, Tyler sighs in frustration and mumbles:  "Looks like I'm stuck here for a while."

(Phew sorry guys I couldn't post today, but I was somehow able to catch up. Just for future reference if you notice someone hasn't posted in a while, hold off for a few. We don't want anyone getting lost. ^^')

-Kline-

Kline watched as everything began to go down to the ground with some aggravation on his face. Luckily Roxas wasn't the one who started the right (which has happened before) so that was a plus he supposed. What was dangerous now was that this was taking place in Twilight Town- a place full of NPCs.

Suddenly, Bri came in and Kline gave a gentle wave to her.

"Hey, Bri. Just in time. " he said, but then sighed upon hearing the girl and Anton bicker.

"Well, Roxas always does the first hit... I just get aggravated with him because he is so quick to fight and make a scene. I was hoping they would move the fight to a empty part of town but looks like that isn't going to happen..." He kept watch on the screen, avoiding taking to Roxas as he didn't want to distract his partner.

-Roxas-

Everything went downhill. A trillion other Betas came up (somewhat to Roxas' annoyance as he felt like he could handle things) but then someone had to pick the fight with Sephiroth (another annoyance to Roxas since he is usually the one who hits first) but whatever. What he had to focus on was protecting the people of his town no matter what the cost. Sho's Noise was going to make that very difficult.

Danté had to come in next, which did make Roxas rather pleasantly surprised at first; Danté was a fun guy, a powerful one at that too. But then the demon made a comment about his Keyblades.

The fight begun, everyone was all over the place. Tron announced that he was to be chasing the Noise.

"Thanks buddy!" Roxas called. At first he was going to summon Samurais to assist Tron, but then Roxas decided not to. Summoning Nobodies took a lot of energy, which said energy could be put towards his limit. It's been a while since he summoned Samurais anyway.

"Hey!" Roxas yelled, watching as Sho approached Shantae.

"Pick on someone your own size!" With that, he leaped in the air and threw his keyblades at the mathematician in dual strike raids.

As Dante began his attack, there was little sephiroth could do but guard. Among the clashes and sparks, Dante got a few good hits in. Once he was knocked back by Dantes fists, he stood and prepared his offensive. Dante asked if this was his best, and Sephiroth only scoffed. As Dante fired sword beams at him, Sephiroth said "Come now dante." With one mighty slash of masamune, the sword beams were dispelled. "Now, for my offensive." Sephiroth dashed forward, clashing with dante. He forced him back and began octoslash, a series of eight powerful sword slashes. Dantes defense was adequate, but the last few slashes caught him. Sephiroth let off on the pressure then, but just for a moment. He raised his hand to the sky and called down a meteor for dante to deal with, and then continued his assault.

~Will~Will let out a small chuckle. This kid thought he was just gonna give it up. Not likely."I don't get what you're talking about. What parts? What machines? Who told you anything about machines around here? And who exactly is this Alex character you said did this to you? Moreover, we need to call your parents to come and get you."This was not Will's first time around the block with people trying to find him or his Hub. He had gotten used to poking holes in people's stories.~Tron~Tron had made a rough first pass through Twilight Town, trying to keep numbers of Noise down. The sooner he could get them all under control, the better. The Light Cycle made the trek back up the hill to the train station, so that Tron could ascertain the situation. And of course it had gotten worse.Sho had somehow broken the barrier Tron had constructed.Tron returned the Light Cycle into the baton and threw his Identity Disc at Sho, hoping to grab his attention.

-Leonardo-
"The internet!" Leonardo said cheerfully. "Forums have been buzzing lately about dump spots for spare parts, since video games are banned and all! I want to fix some old computers, but the parts that old are hard to come by, so when I hear of a dump site, I look to see if I can find anything useful." Leonardo explained, sounding rather proud of his fact. He then puffed his cheeks. "Alex is a meany! His dad works for the government and he thinks he can push people around, and his friends think the same." Leonardo said with a scoff. "But I know the truth. They only pick on me because of my brother." Leonardo added. He tilted his head at Will's act of calling his parents and nodded. "You can call them, but they won't be able to pick me up. They live in Florida." Leonardo said as he shuffled his feet. "I was living with my brother. And well...he got caught with some old gaming consoles he had been collecting long before the ban, so I've been on my own. I study at the Colorado Academy, so my parents pay the tuition online and send me some money to my account so I can buy groceries. Though I mostly spend it on yummy fast food!" Leonardo said rather happily. Leonardo paused and frowned. "I'm sorry. You must be thinking I'm absolutely stupid. Going around trying to pick these parts when there's a chance there aren't even any. But the computers are the only thing I used to do with my brother, so, I can't give it up, haha." Leonardo said as he kept his gaze to the ground.

-Sho-
Sho smirked as the keyblade went flying straight at him. Sho broke his dash, jumping up into the air to dodge the blades' attack. Just in the nick of time as he saw Tron shoot one of his disks at him. Sho spun, barely catching the disk in his hand. "Tron, Tron, Tron! You should know better than to get involved in this war! You're by all means a program! You know what happens to programs who don't mind their own business?" Sho asked as he smirked, the infected code spreading from his arm into the disk, slowly turning it from its normal color blue to a poisonous purple, code glitching around it. "They get infected!" Sho yelled, throwing the disk right back at Tron, a purple hue following the disk. Now, the infection on the disk probably wouldn't last. Tron would most likely be able to simply cleanse it with a touch of his hand or an infection of his own programing. But it helped to buy time. Sho felt as the Noise disappeared, being defeated by the heroes as they kept them from expanding and infecting. Sho scoffed, gripping his fists as he spread his arms. "You guys are NO fun!" Sho yelled as he shot beams of code into the ground. From the puddles of code came out new Noise, Neoclassical Drakes and Trance Rhinos, ready to attack and infect anything inside. Sho turned to Roxas, cracking his fingers. "Alright sprakplug, you want a one on one? Bring it on!" Sho yelled, dashing straight at Roxas.

"No!" Shantae yelled out as she jumped in front of Roxas with a saber in her hand and clashing it against Sho's fist. "Your fight is with me, Number-Nerd!" Her expression was filled with determination and seriousness. She was done playing around. It was time to do her job. "I won't go easy this time. You aren't half bad...For a second-grader." She said with a smirk.Lax snickered as he watched what was happening. "Keep it up Shantae! You're doing great! Heh heh!" He said confidently. All those insults she threw were his ideas. Lax was just happy that she listened to him.

-Roxas-

"Shantae!" Roxas called, grabbing his Keyblade once it was dodged by Sho. "Let me handle this! I don't want you to get infected!" Suddenly Sho summons even more Noise. Roxas hissed- there was only a matter of time before the Noise could slip away and wreck havoc on his town.

"I'm going to have to..." He uttered, snapping his fingers. Suddenly three samurai Nobodies appeared, Katanas ready.

"Get the Noise!" Roxas commanded. "Protect the NPCs!" With that, the Nobodies began to approach the Noise around the area. The attack took a load from Roxas' energy. He was hoping he wouldn't have to resort to Nobodies, but he couldn't risk it. If anything he might have to use an Ether to help get some of his energy back.

-Kline-

Kline watched the scene with a shake to his head. This entire 'battle' was turning into one huge mess. The town was going to get wrecked if this goes on too far. Kline went over to the Final Clash cabinet and booted it up. Instead of interning a coin, he inserted his Synth.

"Roxas, I'm going to control you for a bit." Kline said onto his Synth once he pulled it out, watching as the character select screen came on highlighting Roxas. From there special unlockable outfits and upgrades could be selected, things that were normally not found inside the game.

"No, I can handle this!" Roxas spoke into his Synth.

Shantae turned around and ran to Roxas's aid. She kneeled down next to him. He seemed tired after summoning those Nobodies. "This is my fight too. It's not my first time fighting a bad guy or an Evo. I can handle this. Trust me." She said with a smile. "I'm a hero too." She stood up and then looked at Sho with a serious expression. She pointed her saber at him and quietly whispered. "Lax...Give me some dialogue."

"No prob!" Lax responded happily. He spoke into his Synth and the half genie copied... "Alright, Number-Nerd...

"Let's see if you solve this equation. You and me, 1-1 duel, minus the NPCs and this level, then carry over our battle to somewhere else. Shouldn't be too hard for us, right Second-Grader?" She said.

~Tron~Tron's now corrupted disc flew back to him, and Tron caught it.Tron gave Sho a cocky smile, "You honestly don't know anything about me if you thought that would work." The corruption on the disc began to disappear and Tron retrieved his second disc from his back, "I'm a walking firewall, Sho. You can't corrupt me."Tron punctuated his point by tossing his first disc at Sho, followed shortly by his second one, creating a staggered attack.~Will~Will gave a small chuckle to the kid, "Well, whoever told you about a spare part drop site clearly gave you the wrong location if you ended up here." Will got up and grabbed his keys, "And, since you seem to live by yourself, I'll offer to drive you home, at the very least to keep that Alex kid off your back."This kid's story was definitely weird, and Will couldn't quite put his finger on it. But something was definitely foul in the state of Denmark. (Shakespeare jokes!)

Anton heard Lax's insults towards Sho, laughing a bit. "Are you trying to entertain us along the way?" He then replied to Bri: "Well, I just prefer to not endanger anyone if possible."

Seeing that the number of Noises decreased, Soma quickly deactivated the soul of Alastor in order to replenish his MP. Although the soul of Alastor drained Soma's MP very slowly, it prevented him from refilling it automatically.

After the Noises were defeated, Sho summoned a bunch of more Noises. Soma was about to attack Sho with his sword, but was stopped by Anton. "Soma? I understand that you want to finish it quickly as possible, but I think it is better to attack the Noises instead of Sho for now and attack him when your MP is full. Your allies can handle him. " Although he had plenty of MP, Soma listened to the advice, since there were advantages in engaging Sho with full MP.

Soma attempted to strike down one of the Neoclassical Drakes by swinging his greatsword downwards.

Cameron was home after he was done at work, and after realized Celes hadn't called him back about any info so he decided to call her up to make sure she is ok, and to her what she has found. "Celes... Celes are you ok, have you found anything yet?" He was getting a bit anxious to get the information they needed to beat the Betas. "If you can't find anything, I want you to help the other EVO's... Most of them aren't as strong as you, so head over there as soon as you can... and best keep your men away from the fight, we don't want them getting killed you know. One more thing... If things turn bad, you know what to do." He told her, hoping this will turn out ok.

--Mithos Yggdrasil--

Suddenly, when Mithos thought he would have to wait here for a VERY long time and probably get devoured by a Heartless in the process, a voice could be heard breaking into the silence.  The small boy rose his head, glancing through the darkness at the newcomer.  He could barely make out his form as he approached, though he could hear his voice clearly.

"Uh--hi, did you come for me?  How did you get in here?"  The blond sniffed, sheepishly kicking at the dusty ground.  "I was playing hide and seek with my buddies when the fighting ensued out over there.  I hid in here, and that's when some guy's earth attack shook everything and trapped me under here.  I tried and tried, but I couldn't find my way out.  Can you help me, please?"

Mithos looked imploringly into Kite's face, his eyes wide and glassy.  "My name's Mithos, by the way.  What's yours?"

--Celes Chere--

Eventually they managed to infiltrate Tron's domain, the land where she was certain she could acquire information on their Beta partners.  At the entrance Celes crossed her arms, giving the area a sweeping glance.  "Okay, men.  It's time to split up.  Randall, you take a third of the men to the west gate, and Marsh I want you to take that crew to the basement"--she gestured to the majority of the remaining men--"the rest of you come with me.  We'll infiltrate from above.  Our goal is to obtain the files of the locations of these hubs, perhaps a list of the partners logging on to aid our players.  We meet back here, but whatever you do don't reveal who has sent us.  Roger?"

The majority of her soldiers nodded in consent, though some sort of grunted in protest.  It took little time for them to separate into groups and be on their way, Celes watching stonily as they departed.  One of her men turned to her with soft gray eyes, an aged soul probably in his fifties or sixties.  "General Celes," the man said to her.  "What sort of madness are you up to?  Coming in from above?  What exactly do you have in mind?"

The general's eyes glittered dangerously.  "You all are free to use the main entrance.  What I want you to do is create a diversion.  I will be sneaking in through the tower above.  I think I know where they are keeping their databases, and my intention is to infiltrate it directly--"

"But General, you would do this alone?"

"It's dangerous," Celes snapped in response.  "And you all have families to return to.  I won't have you all risking your lives for this.  Just be my diversion, retreat when things get out of hand, and we'll meet at the base."

"But ma'am--"

"That is an order."

With that the blonde general strode forward, her ice-blue cape billowing behind her.  It was bad enough that lives had to be lost in a war like this anyway, there was no need to triple the casualties.  She left her men quickly before they could get another word in, and before they could even attempt following her.

Just as Celes eyed the massive tower that she had to climb a message emitted through her Synth, from none other than Cameron, of course.  She carefully adjusted it on her ear as she braced her foot on a jutting brick, looking for a good handhold to begin her ascent. "Yeah, I'm getting there, Cam.  It'll just be a little bit longer.  I'm infiltrating Tron's tower while he's out of sight.  The battle over in Twilight Town should keep him busy for a good while, giving me enough time to extract the files that you need.  At the very least I hope to acquire the location of Tron's partner, if not other locations where Betas are logging in."

It surprised her even still that Cameron should care for her, and what was strange is that Celes felt herself slightly . . . caring for him, too.  He always supported her, even though he guided her, and she felt a very strong loyalty and bond to him that she couldn't quite explain.  Even though she often questioned her motives, she was driven to still pursue her efforts since she was doing it for him.  "I understand your command.  You don't have to worry about me."

-Sho-
Sho cracked his knuckles. How annoying were the little wanna-be heroes. They wouldn't give up at all and simply allow themselves to be infected! But then again, it made it fun. If there was no struggle, then there was no satysfaction in the end. It would feel like it was handed over way too easy. Sho turned to Shantae, smirking as he chuckled. "What is this? You're trying to make up some jokes too? You've got nothing on me, sweetheart!" Sho scoffed to Shantae, gripping his fists as the corrupted data surrounded them, making his fists deadlier than without them. "I accept your offer, kid! I would love to see how you handle me one on one." Sho chuckled, stepping forward and using his wings to dash forward to Shantae, corrupted data surging from the palm of his hand.

-Leonardo-
Leonardo nodded as he looked up. "That would be very kind of you, mister!" Leonardo said with a smile. "I don't live very far from here, actually. It should be a very short ride!" Leonardo said as he stood up from his seat. "Though, I wouldn't want to bother you with something so trivial. I could always walk home." Leonardo said as he glanced to the side slightly, looking for any door leading to the basement. "After all, I wouldn't want to further interrupt your study group. 'Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead', correct? Interesting choice. Wouldn't be my first choice, but I would believe why students would have difficulties understanding such literature. It isn't for everyone." Leonardo said as he smiled and tilted his head. "So, ready to take me home, mister?"

Shantae

"Aw, shut yer yap!" Shantae said as she charged towards Sho with her saber in her hand. With one clash, the half-genie saw her saber continuously clashing against Sho's fists. This guy's got guts and strength! He isn't all talk. But I know I can beat him!...I hope. She kept swinging her sword, supposedly getting a few cuts and maybe slashes in. She dashed backwards while facing her "Noisy" opponent and used her other hand to shoot 3 fireballs at once towards him.

"All right I'll leave you to it then, let me know when you are finished." Cameron state. 'I do know I want to get out of these works clothes and relax until she calls back.' So, without wasting so much as a second, he got into some lounging pants and decided it was time to relax, he laid down on the couch to watch some tv and enjoyed the time he had until Celes called back with the information. Due to his hard work today though he ended up falling asleep so quick he was unable to react in time.

-Roxas-

Roxas continued arguing with his partner, feeling the system manipulate his code. "I can handle this myself! Take your Synth out of the system!"

"No." Retorted Kline, selecting different abilities and whatnot on the screen. "Let me try. You haven't slept in days! Look how much energy the Nobodies took out of you."

"Kl- Take your Synth out of the system. I can protect my town myself against those idiots!" As Roxas rambled on, Kline only shook his head.

"Too late." Answered Kline as he pressed 'START.'

Roxas' appearance suddenly changed. His outfit was that of his normal Twilight Town attire and his keyblades changed into that of Bond of Flame and Two Become One. The fire boost was always a plus with magic.

"It's not like I have access to most of Sora's blades... So this'll have to do." Roxas uttered as Kline. A 'Player 1' appeared right above Roxas' head. A new Player has entered the battlefield. On the screen the words 'CLASH!' Appeared: the fight officially started.

"Hopefully this doesn't make everyone else join in too..." Kline uttered to himself. The last time a Player joined in a battle between the characters, everyone else joined in like dominoes- which in turn created a bigger mess. He had to end this quick before Twilight Town turns into rubble.

Zidane

"Well helloooo pretty lady."

A teenage voice could be heard from behind Celes. A boy with short blonde hair dressed in his usual attire with a yellow monkey tail looked at Celes from behind. He smirked as he looked at her from behind. From the way he was seeing it, this was a reeeeeeeally nice angle to view a woman's good side. The front's always good, but the backside is where it's all at. But it's all about prefere-

(What am I doin'? xD Let's get on with the post.)

The monkey-tailed boy tilted his head, still looking at Celes's good side. "I don't see many girls like you around here. In fact, barely anyone here." The boy said. "But you look like you need a certain someone to escort you around here. Of course, call me a gentleman. I can never deny a pretty girl like you Celes. Well, that is unless you're trying to cause trouble." The boy said, putting his arms behind his head. Although the boy knew the name of this girl without even seeing her face...Perhaps he has seen her "good side" before.

Just as Kite was wondering if he went the right way he heard the voice from before.

Walking to the debris, Kite could see a boy underneath some bars.  "That's right.  I ran over here from another town. Originally, I came to deal with some Evo's sighted in the area.  But I couldn't go knowing that someone was in trouble."  After hearing the boy say his name, Kite replied:  "Mine's Kite.  Now let's see about getting you out of here.  Stand back."  Kite pulled out one of his blades and made a swipe at the bars.  But the swipe didn't make a dent in them.  Kite places the blade back and decides to lift the rubble up.  He places both hands underneath and lifts.  But he quickly drops it back down.  "Whoa!  It's heavier than I thought.  Listen Mithos.  I'm going to lift this stuff up again.  When I do, you crawl out as fast as you can okay?  On the count of three.  One.  Two.  Three!!"  Kite once again puts both hands underneath the rubble and lifts with all of his strength.  Kite:  "Quick Mithos!  Go now!"

--Celes--

The blonde gasped as she heard the voice behind her.  Immediately she turned around, her sword withdrawn and extended in the direction of the newcomer.  She lowered it slightly as she realized he meant no harm, or at least not for now.  She cocked a brow, placing a hand on her hip.  "Save it, I'm not going to fall for your flattery," she spat coldly.  "And how in the world do you know my name?  Have you been watching me?!"

She was certainly irritated by him, though his words did ring a note of truth.  Time was limited before Tron got back, and she needed to access as much information as she could.  Once he returned things were going to get much more difficult.  "Okay, fine.  You can come along with me.  You say that you know this place well?  I'm looking for the data center headquarters.  There's some information that I need to access."

Celes watched Zidane momentarily, her brow lifting slightly as she noticed that he seemed a bit  . . . bedazzled by her.  This was nothing new, though it irked her immensely when she would get stared at like that.  "I'll let you take the lead.  And since you seem to know me, could I at least get to know you?  What's your name, kid?"

--Mithos--

A worried smile crossed the young blond's face as Kite introduced himself.  "Well, it's great to meet you, Kite, though I'm sorry it's under such unfortunate circumstances."  Kite then had proceeded to slash the bars, which Mithos knew all too well wouldn't work.  He stood at his side calmly, inputting: "Yeah, they're pretty sturdy.  I tried to melt them with my magic, but it was no use."

As Kite conjured up his next plan of lifting the rubble, a look of concern washed over Mithos' face.  "But--but what about you?!  I can't just leave you here!"  It was too late, however: Kite was commanding Mithos to run, and he didn't want to disobey him.  He bent low and darted under the rubble as fast as his short legs could carry him, before whipping around and turning back to his newest friend.  "How are you going to get out?!  What should I do?!"

Zidane

The monkey-boy chuckled and slowly walked towards her. "I know a pretty lady's name when I hear her name and see her looks." He informed. People usually called him a "Skirt-Chaser", though he couldn't blame them. Aside from helping good people out, his mind was always on girls. "My name's Zidane. You know, master thief. Boy with a tail. The guy who saved the planet from a certain one-man show." He smirked as Celes continued to talk to him. A pretty girl with an attitude AND a good side. I think I scored the jackpot. "I would if I could but uuuh..." The monkey-tailed boy looked around, then leaned and whispered. "The guards here aren't really my biggest fans." He then leaned back and put his hands back behind his head. "Buuuuut since you don't look like the "Damsel-In-Distress" type and being blessed by the God of good luck with stunning looks, I guess if we put our heads together we can get to where we gotta go." He said, seemingly to be flirting with this character. The boy just couldn't deny this hot babe. Perhaps a reward could be in stake...? " Sooo...Since this is our first moment working together, I could give you a hint of direction. But for a price..."

Zidane turned to his side with his cheek facing Celes. His finger pointed at his cheek. "A little smooch~?"

Terumi watched the battle from afar, studying the abilities of everyone involved, especially the 2 Evos, Sephiroth and Sho.

However, there were a couple of things that surprised Terumi.

The first one was that one of the Betas, Matthew, started the battle and not Sho, who Terumi expected to land the first hit.

The second one, as a result of the surprise attack, which surprised the betas too, was the mess that the whole battlefield was in, putting the lives of many uninfected NPCs at risk.

The third one, was the result of Matthew's Earth-attribute attack. A kid, seemingly 12 or 13 years was stuck under some bars. Terumi did not interfere, decided to let him die by Matthew's spell and not by Terumi's hands, to perhaps bring suffering and conflict among the Beta Partners as a result.

Is he TRYING to kill them? That's a very good ally...

That is...until a 14 years old teen interfered and attempted to save him, which irritated Terumi.

Terumi came to their location, his hands are still in his pockets where his knives are located.

"Kids have no place here. You should just go somewhere else and play over there..." he said playfully, with a friendly, big grin. That grin however was just a disguise, meant to deceive the two before him, as it had mischievous intentions behind it, thinking to himself: ...play in your death, that is.
