Kittenz 4,281 Posted June 18, 2016 (edited) Well, this. I trust Bethesda more than EA or Ubisoft, though, because while Todd Howard is known for lying about features, Skyrim and Oblivion at least looked like their trailers. There are cons, too, but the menus and overall design look the same as the trailers. What Ubisoft now do is inexcusable though. They clearly show a completely different game, not just textures or the like, but the camera, the way the game plays, level design, lighting, HUD. I say ''now do'', because early Assassin's creed games did not have this problem, they didn't always do this and I find it disappointing. Farcry 4 is clearly pre-rendered but the others....I'm speechless. Why put all that effort into a build of the game that is a complete lie? Then there's EA.... This has led me to trust, generally speaking, Japanese companies more. Hear me out. Before you say Sega, look at their recent games. Project Diva X disappointed some fans because they wanted things that were never confirmed, but the game is exactly what was shown. Square Enix has never lied to us in the way Ubisoft has in the video above. In fact the games Improve I'm not saying they have never lied, there is no such thing as a pure company, but to be blunt, culturally they are far less likely to lie like this. They're just more honest in general. Which game is more likely to be like what we were shown at E3 this year? Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Or Watch_Dogs 2? My bet is on Zelda Edited June 18, 2016 by Yuno Gasai 1 supermegaroxas reacted to this
Headphone Jack 1,147 Posted June 18, 2016 yea i would hope that people would have learned their lesson from the first Watch Dogs game and will decide to wait this pre-order out. and the argument "Oh but this one actually looks good," doesn't hold up because that's basically the same mindset people had when they pre-ordered the first one and look how that turned out lol 1 Kittenz reacted to this
BlankShell 638 Posted June 18, 2016 Counterpoint: Pre-Order Watch_Dogs 2 because it's your money and you can do whatever the hell you want with it. Actually, I'd say people are better off pre-ordering this because it's a known IP; you know what Ubisoft did with the last one, so if you were okay with all of it, you'll probably want to and will enjoy pre-ordering this one. Like why should we force others to make decisions for us? I think we should all be allowed the freedom to make our own decisions and use our own money the way we see fit because we are the ones who worked hard to get our own money and other people didn't. So if we want to use our own money to buy something, other people shouldn't force our decisions and make us follow their orders just because other people think we made our money just to be told what to do. I don't care what you do with your money. I'm just arguing the point that if you do pre-order before we've even seen the real game, then you're encouraging these sort of bad practises in the industry because they already have your money. But if you want to blindly give your money to a company that is going to firetruck you over and give you a worse experience than they promise, then go ahead. I don't care what you choose. I really don't know how you got to that conclusion when it's not even what I'm saying. Edited June 18, 2016 by Yuno Gasai
