Tai Yasue says Kingdom Hearts HD collections on PS4 not ruled out completely

In a recent interview with Gamespot at E3, Tai Yasue, co-director of the Kingdom Hearts series, says that Kingdom Hearts HD collections (1.5 & 2.5) have not been ruled out completely for the PS4. You can read what he said below.

 

We haven't come to decision and nothing is announced yet. We listen to our fans and our players and see what they think about it--and, yeah, I'm not ruling it out, but we're not making an announcement just yet.

In addition to stating that about the possibility of HD collections on the PS4, he also says that Kingdom Hearts III is going smooth right now.

This could just come out after KH3 or come out on the same year as KH3, I doubt it would take too much time. Then again, I doubt they're going to do it, especially since Nomura said that KH3 will be next after 2.8.

This could just come out after KH3 or come out on the same year as KH3, I doubt it would take too much time. Then again, I doubt they're going to do it, especially since Nomura said that KH3 will be next after 2.8.

Well, back then they didn't outright say that it was the last game before KH3. Althoooough they could just go back on their word anyway

 

And if they did release them before KH3, they probably still wouldn't fix the bugs, thereby ruining Kaweebo's dreams

Hmm, interesting!  Well, porting them over to the PS4 would mean that all the games in the Xehanort Saga would be united under one console, and that seems pretty cool, ya know?

I agree with you, Tom!  I think it's perfectly plausible for Square to release 1.5 and 2.5 for the PS4 after Kingdom Hearts III releases!  That's pretty fair game to me!

lol It's not a dream. Actually, I'm hoping it's literally the exact same thing with no changes so I don't have to buy it. I put a lot of time into 1.5 and 2.5 and I really don't want to have to start over again.

If they do end up putting 1.5 and 2.5 on the PS4, it had better be after KH3 comes out, because i just got both games for the PS3 this last Christmas and I don't really want to have to get them again and play as far as I've gotten again too soon.

Welp, KH3 for 2020 confirmed.Seriously though I hope they do wait until KH3. But to get me to rebuy it, theyd have to do a lot.1. Theater mode in KH3FM. 2. Make it so you can view both Another Side Another Story and Deep Dive on the same file3. Remake Days and Re:coded to be playable on PS4 (They's have all the time in the world to do this after KH3 is out)4. Would a playabe Back Cover be too much? I know, I know it's a totally diferent case than Days and Re: coded, but I wouldn't mind a 5 hour game (1 hour per Foreteller).Do this and I'd totally drop $250 on a "Complete Dark Seeker Saga" collection.

I was gonna say the secret message in the reports hinted at 1.5, but tbh we didn't really know what it could've meant But it wasn't confirmed to be the game before 3 by Nomura or anyone in Squeenix (as least as far as I can recall), which was the point that's different now, seeing as they did say 3 will be after 2.8.
