AzureAce 544 Posted June 14, 2016 Source on the 3+ hour part. But I want to emphasise to the last thing you said. http://kh13.com/news/new-interview-with-series-director-tetsuya-nomura-about-kingdom-hearts-hd-28-final-chapter-prologue-and-kingdom-hearts-iii Nomura says it'll be the length of a KHIII world. Assuming KHIII worlds take longer to complete given their expansive-ness in comparison to past games, KHII worlds were about 2-3 hours in length each if you take your time. PrinceNoctis 1,011 Posted June 14, 2016 The people on the show floor didn't seem to complain. It's probably because we don't have an HQ picture. I have never stayed in a KHII world longer than an hour at a time, most times barely even an hour. I imagine KHIII worlds might take me closer to two mostly from the larger areas you can explore but 3+ is pushing my expectations. 2 RoxasXIIIK and KHUndertaleFan25 reacted to this
KeybladeLordCheeseCurd 1,542 Posted June 14, 2016 The picture of the model is compressed and has some light added due to the camera. Point a phone camera/portable camera at any screen, and unnecessary light is added. If anything, that picture is not what the model looks like IRL. 7 KHUndertaleFan25, Kaweebo, ladydualwieldin and 4 others reacted to this
Vexen 73 Posted June 14, 2016 As stated by others, the fact that the image/video of this is taken of a screen makes it difficult to get a good impression of what Terra's character model really looks like. I thought it looked like Terra, though and I don't have any problems with it. 1 KHUndertaleFan25 reacted to this
Robbie the Wise 5,050 Posted June 15, 2016 Off topic am I the only one who sees the pun in the title? On topic; they have plenty of time polish up the models, quite frankly if that's the only flaw for now I'll take it. 6 RoxasXIIIK, KHUndertaleFan25, WakelessDream and 3 others reacted to this
Henne 150 Posted June 15, 2016 (edited) If it really looks this terrible ingame I will find this quite strange because we know they'll use this for KH3 where his role is bigger. Edited June 15, 2016 by Henne 1 ladydualwieldin reacted to this
CriticalAssension 161 Posted June 15, 2016 MATE!!!!!! Everybody knows how stupid Terra was and the damn stupid decisions he made in BBS. Who knows that mountain to the face probably just disfigured his face a few moments later.... I mean cmon, HE TOOK A MOUNTAIN TO THE FACE. Nah, but in all seriousness, there's to many things to consider here, 1. Games not done 2. Was recorded from a damn phone 3. Could possible be brighter then usual to make the sparkle effect less dope looking, like I mean imagine if his character model and the environment around him looked dark....and he exploded into a bunch of fluffy lights...would look a bit out of place. But hey, this is usually what the demos are for, early feedback for the game so they know what to optimise and improve once they're about to release the finished product. 1 KHUndertaleFan25 reacted to this
Kaweebo 3,617 Posted June 15, 2016 If it really looks this terrible ingame I will find this quite strange because we know they'll use this for KH3 where his role is bigger. We don't actually know that. In fact, it's entirely possible that Terra's body never returns to how it looked in BBS. Given that Xemnas is essentially Terra's body now, who knows if the way to 'save' him is to purge Xehanort's influence and Terra takes over, resulting in a Xemnas model with brown hair and blue eyes? Way2Dawn 80 Posted June 15, 2016 I honestly didn't think his model looked that bad, but if while I'm being honest, when I first saw his face, I knew that there would be people who thought it looked terrible. Theres many things to consider here. 1. It's a demo, not the final product 2. I didn't see it in person, but I'd be willing to bet that it looks a heck of a lot better in person than it does on someone's phone 3. Nomura stated in an interview that they basically had to go to hell and back to find balance with the lighting since it is something they haven't done before 4. And I see this as the most important... This is a new look for us. Throughout the other games we have experienced essentially the same look with some minor upgrades. This is a HUGE upgrade in graphics and it's something we're just not used to yet. Many people hated Soras new look, and Mickeys, and Aquas. Just give it time. This is an unfinished product. Now lets all breathe, join hands, and sing a little Sanctuary! 1 ladydualwieldin reacted to this

ladydualwieldin 212 Posted June 19, 2016 (edited) Agreeing with what's been said, the demo video was terrible quality + the game isn't finished yet, so he might (should) end up looking better by December. If it really looks this terrible ingame I will find this quite strange because we know they'll use this for KH3 where his role is bigger. If his model DOES look like this in 2.8, I'm going to assume they'll make a better/more polished one for him in KH3, since it would be odd for Aqua, Sora, Riku, and Kairi (and presumably the rest) to look as good as they do only for Terra to look so... flat. If they did just transfer it over to KH3, I'd be very surprised; it's quite possible they put less effort into this 2.8 model since it has much less screentime and (I assume) it doesn't have much animation (no fighting, etc.), although I wouldn't expect the KH team to be that lazy. On that same vein of thought, maybe they didn't have time to polish him up before releasing the demo. But again, I expect Terra to be prettied up by the final product at the end of this year. The 13th Kenpachi 4,279 Posted June 19, 2016 (edited) Also, if they're really wanting to make this game the best it can be, they should be taking full advantage of the technology at hand to do it, and they have the technology. Accepting a part of the game that is clearly flawed compared to a model that was created 6 years ago is exactly what they want, because it means they can be lazy and not try as hard, resulting in a poorer game for us. I agree with AzureAce, Terra looks awful. His face looks like a pale blob. They need to work on faces within the in game cutscenes, they lack detail in the IN GAME cutscenes.. The game looked way better within the Luminous engine. The environments look great in 0.2, but the faces don't. However, Nomura did say in Famitsu the other day that the cutscenes in KH3 will look like the ones in Back Cover, which is a relief. The pre made (pre rendered I think it's called) cutscenes look AMAZING, but the ones within the UE4 don't. Really people complaining about a face... It's just a face, looks should not matter. Have fun buying a product that hasn't reached it's full potential. If looks don't matter then KH3 may as well be on a Sega Genesis right? I'm paying full price for this game and so are you, I want the product I'm buying to be as good as it possibly can be, that includes the graphical design. I won't settle for poor character models within a full priced AAA game. Oh you're right Forget what I said about that. Then let's hope they'll fix that too, though it's 6 months before 2.8 gets released, so chances are high this is not the final model for Terra. Sorry pal, Nomura said in Famitsu that the game is in the final stages of development. So I doubt they'll be working on it all the way up until December, come September the game will probably be finished and they won't be working on it anymore. But of course they want time to advertise it, so that's why it won't come out until December. I hate Terra anyway, but I want him to look good for his death in KH3 A bad model for a bad character, not surprising (IN MY OPINION, of course ) MATE!!!!!! Nobody. And even if it isn't, it's still not representative of the rest of the game. Just give it time. This is an unfinished product. Now lets all breathe, join hands, and sing a little Sanctuary! But hey, this is usually what the demos are for, early feedback for the game so they know what to optimise and improve once they're about to release the finished product. The game is almost done, it's not going to get changed, they'll shelve it in the next 2 months and just use the rest of the time for advertising. Famtisu-In the trailer, you announced a December worldwide simultaneous release, and that the next information on KH3 would be in winter. Nomura: It's likely that Japan will get it a few days earlier, but it will be basically simultaneous. KH2.8 is in the final stages of production. KeybladeLordCheeseCurd 1,542 Posted June 19, 2016 Uh, Shinobi? There's another thing to consider about Terra's model. We've only seen it through compressed pictures/videos that apparently seem to bring in odd lighting to the screen in a room that seems to enjoy changing color. The pictures and videos we've seen of 0.2 Terra are not what he actually looks like IRL. 2 Syenyho and KHUndertaleFan25 reacted to this

Nobody really considered if they made him look like that on purpose. He's supposed to look like an illusion, and with the dull face it has, maybe it was meant to show that he's not real. 1 ladydualwieldin reacted to this
