Firaga 5,947 Posted June 12, 2016 "Update: Disney has removed the trailer. Check back at 9:15 EST tonight for the official debut." Whoops. Also, obligatory tease at Disney's creativity and racial boundaries: Hey look, they finally made Lilo a Disney Princess.
Setrex 1,031 Posted June 12, 2016 The teaser trailer was good, watched it on Facebook. I'm excited for Moana and I can't wait till it releases here in December.
KairiKeybasH 851 Posted June 12, 2016 (edited) The Teaser is out. Looks like it's going to be a great movie. Removing the Teaser from my comment. Edited June 13, 2016 by MarieltheKeybasHGirl

This isn't an obiligatory tease, this is you nitpicking for the sake of nitpicking. Moana is about Polynesian mythology. Lilo and Stitch is a fish out of water story. Try again. Disney Animation has another hit on their hands with this movie. I cannot wait for the end result! Edited June 13, 2016 by Guest
Kingdomhe 1,362 Posted June 13, 2016 (edited) Is anyone else getting a Lilo and Stitch vibe from this? Edited June 13, 2016 by Kingdomhe

Awesome Sauce 634 Posted June 13, 2016 The beginning bit reminds me of Hercules, and I'm excited for the new actress. I'm looking forward to this!

I didn't even cast full judgement on this film by saying that it would be like Lilo and Stitch just on the fact that it shares Polynesian influences. The main protagonist girl just looks like a grown up Lilo and I wanted to poke fun at it. Leave me be. Edited June 13, 2016 by Firaga Sensei
Guest Posted June 13, 2016 oh man i'm digging the colors and the music so far Same here, Disney Animation are really out-doing themselves in the visual effects department. The beginning bit reminds me of Hercules, and I'm excited for the new actress. I'm looking forward to this! Seeing as it's from the same directors, it's probably a homage. Is anyone else getting a Lilo and Stitch vibe from this? Presumably because of the Hawaiian influence? It looks like that at face value, but aside that, the two movies couldn't be further away from each-other.

I was thinking more of the art style and how the faces look if they ever did a 3D Lilo and Stitch.

Guest Posted June 13, 2016 See, this is what I was getting at. Blegh. For someone who said "Leave me be", you sure want to negotiate a discussion. You're not right, look, I was clarifying to people. The difference with everyone else's responses to yours is that you're taking the mick of the movie, they're merely drawing similarities. Moana has been anticipated since 2014 and for it to finally have a teaser trailer is a big deal. If you're not interested in the movie, fine! just don't go trying to shape your opinions as facts. I created this topic to create excitement and enlighten people about Moana.

I created this topic to create excitement and enlighten people about Moana. I'm negotiating this because I'm sick and tired of being misconstrued. Understand this: Nothing I said was being stated as fact, it was a joke. I was making a joke. In hindsight, it was a bit sloppily executed, but it was still a joke. I have no ill will to give to this film, I left a snide remark because that's just what I do. If you want my honest thoughts on the trailer, then here: so far, it seems to be in good hands. The visuals and overall creative energy feel very inspired and when voicing his character, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson especially sounds like he's giving the best performance he's ever given for any children's film he's been apart of. It has so much potential as it is to be a great modern Disney Princess film. Edited June 13, 2016 by Firaga Sensei
Revolart 431 Posted June 14, 2016 The visual looks so beautiful and stunning , cant wait to watch this . Would be interesting to have an Easter egg or cameo appearance from Lilo and Stitch in this movie.
