2.8 banner confirms Braigs is the hooded man?

I was looking at the 2.8 banner and noticed the thing they're standing in front of looks like Braigs gun





Also look at the very back and you can see a man in an organization coat. This could just be for DDD but it can also be confirmation that Braig is the hooded man and time traveled to manipulate the Foretellers. (im blind that was just star seeker looking weird) The hooded mans movement in the trailer also matches Braigs attitude.

The voice is different, though. Believe me, I've heard Xigbar's voice a lot of times. But it's your opinion, I guess. I never noticed who was in the back, though. Well, besides the Foretellers.

That doesn't work I'm afraid, to time travel backwards you need to have a version of yourself at the time your going to. It'd be impossible for a version of Braig to be present at the time of the foretellers, xehanort isn't alive then either...

 

Also, he'd have to leave his body behind which means he can't move his hands or arms like the hooded man did. Square would never drop a hint to his identity this early,

Yes, but as we've seen, there are many methods of time travel. This probably isn't likely, but he could have his own way.

Hmm, while the thing that's in the banner does look like the handle of Braig's guns, I don't think that Braig is the hooded man!  For one thing, there'd have to be a past version of Braig in Daybreak Town, and, well, the game takes places hundreds of years before Birth By Sleep, so I doubt that Braig has anything to do with the story of Unchained X!

 

Nah, I would like to think that the hooded man is the person who ends up being Eraqus and Xehanort's master!

that'd be quite the "ascended extra" trope if Nomura were to give Xigbar such a large role.

 

chances are that symbol in the background is just another new emblem to go along with the Heartless, Nobody, Unversed, etc etc emblems. Something that can be iconic for KH: X, i guess.

 

 

 

unless Nomura goes even more insane and it's revealed that Xigbar is the true mastermind behind everything and he's just existed for hundreds of years.

Braig/xigbar wears a more specific coat (lower shoulders) in the same vein that demyx's has pointed shoulders and Axel's has super skinny arms, versus the guy in the 2.8 video who has a more generic one like xemnas/riku/saix.

 

Edit: plus the 2.8 video guy has a clearly different voice (somewhat unrelated side note, it's the same voice everytime he talks...)

I think if Braig was indeed the hooded man (btw theres no way, I dont know what any of you are talking about) It wouldnt be like Nomura to spoil who one of the most mysterious people in the series at this point by putting him on a cover or banner.  Pretty sure its just for DDD.

Braig has his "own plans" after all.  

Let's pretend that he's really Braig.  If so, then he's fooling Org.13 with his joking mannerism, the same way he's doing with the foretellers.

Guys, voice actors don't always stay the same, the actor could have easily been replaced and even if he still has the same VA for the games look at FFXV Kingsglaive. The movie, while being 100% connected to the game, uses different voice actors than it so its plausible that for Back Cover they're using a different VA and maybe even as a means to throw people off.

 

But besides that we likely wont find out until december hits so its just some speculation.

KH keeps coming up with new things every entry (unverse, dream worlds,data realm, time travel) so there could be another way of time travel. I just dont see it being another new character and the only other O13 member that seems to match his mannerism was Demyx which is less likely than Xigbar.

The voice in the trailer is much different and I don't think what is in the banner is the arrow guns. It looks much different and it's a little hard to see.
