KH3 at the Grand Finale of Square Enix Presents?

The events takes place over 3 days, on the final day (June 16th), there is a 15 minute grand finale at the end! What could this be? . I thnk I know...

What else could it be besides FF7 remake or KH3? And 15 minutes for FF7 Remake only? All the other SE games have been shown off over the three days when you look at the schedule besides FF7R and KH3.

 

Shinji Hashimoto did say he wanted to announce a new project this year and Motmou Toriyama (director of FFX and FF13) has also been working on something big. So maybe it's that. But I think it's just as likely to be KH3.

It's likely to be split up, I doubt they'd dedicated an entire 15 minutes to one game. I bet this, if KH3 isn't at the Sony conference then it's more likely to show up at the grand finale of the Square Enix Presents. However, if KH3 is at the Sony conference, then expect that grand finale to either be something to do with FF7 remake or probably the announcement of Motomu Toriyama's new project. Or it could just be an ordinary ending but I'd doubt they'd call it 'Grand Finale' just for that. At the end of each day it says 'Wrap Up', if this was just an ordinary ending to their livestream it'd just be something like 'Square Enix Presents, E3 Wrap Up'

I would be surprised if we didn't get a KHIII trailer with gameplay. I'm not expecting them to announce Toy Story as a world or anything, but I can't believe they'd skip at least offering us something to tide us over until winter.

if you think about it, the 0.2 gameplay in the 2.8 FCP trailer is technically our kh3 trailer, but I wouldn't mind if they did that.

This is all very suspicious, ya know?  And I agree, with a title like Grand Finale, I don't think Square's gonna make this "grand" finale be something lackluster...if anything, we might just be surprised!  Could it be Kingdom Hearts III?  Who knows?  I am personally hoping that we get something Kingdom Hearts III related, even if it's only a small teaser or just a bit of info updating on the game's progress!  As long as we get something, anything, I'll be happy! And if not, well, that 2.8 trailer has me happy!

 

But still, I think we'll be surprised with Kingdom Hearts III...I'm gonna be cautiously optimistic!

It's possible, but I wouldn't hold my breath. The end of the E3 trailer for 2.8 said more announcements this winter, so if we don't get anything at Presents or at the rest of E3 for KH3, I really don't think there's any reason to be disappointed. While it's okay to hope, don't get too hyped up otherwise you'll be disappointed.

 

I'm sure it's going to focus on the new project as Shinobi Palace said AKA FFX-3/FFVII Remake.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm actually doubting new KH III(or FF VII remake or Toriyama's project for that matter too) info at this grand finale. I won't totally rule it out, but I mean they did this last year too, called it a grand finale on the schedule as well, but was essentially a wrap up and recap of their games covered at E3 plus a "thank you and see you next year" sort of thing from various SE staff.If I'm wrong I'll happily accept that but the above is why I have my doubts that they'd be saving new KH III info for this just because they're calling it a grand finale. The most likely way I can see KH III appearing in this is if it were already present at E3 2016 to begin with. But again this is all just me, I could end up being completely wrong.

KH3 won't be there I don't think. It could be FFVII, X-3, XIII Lightning Saga (PS4 port) or just a new upcoming title of SE that we haven't heard of.

No one is 'expecting' anything. It's speculation.

That is so confusing, the man from the Koalition said this in the video

 

"But they did assure to me that during E3 and afterwards we will get some more details about this elusive game"

But then the annotation says

 

THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION THAT KINGDOM HEARTS 3 WILL BE AT E3 2016. Some outlets have sourced us by saying Square Enix confirmed this to us. This was NOT the case. The conversation had before/after the interview did not confirm KH3 at E3 2016 as it was a loose discussion, nor did Mr. Okayama confirm anything as such during our interview. Adding this note for further clarification. Hope that clears everything up!

 

 

He literally said, we'll get some details of KH3 at E3, then the annotation says that they didn't confirm anything. That sounds like he's lying or something. The heck is a 'loose discussion'? Okay so we'll tell the public that they'll get details, but no it's not confirmed they'll get details...  I don't know who to blame for this, Square or the Koalition.

 

Anyhow, Square's PR is not very good for Kingdom Hearts 3 when you compare it to Final Fantasy 15..........  You can't argue against that, when FFXV was at the development stage KH3 is currently in it still got small frequent updates and if it wasn't going to appear at an event like E3, Square actually confirmed it properly by saying stuff like

"FFXV isn't going to be at E3 this year, sorry guys"

Instead of being so ambiguous. Tabata knows what the fans are like, Nomura doesn't understand his audience well enough.

 

Anyhow, the thing about 'annoncements in winter' is that it's a development update, it could probably indicate that Square Enix is ready to announce a release year rather than just putting 'now in development'. It doesn't 100% prevent KH3 not being at E3. Before every E3 since 2013, Square Enix have never said that KH3 won't be at E3 or will be at E3, they make us wait. 

 

If it doesn't show up at E3 I'm not going to care but it'll just be another example of bad PR by Square since they aren't keeping the ball rolling for KH3. I don't care what I get, just a teaser is fine. Heck even a screenshot or a concept art is fine. I just want them to keep the ball rolling for this game instead of putting it on the back burner. 

 

I'm not criticising Square in any way since they haven't promised anything, but their PR for KH3 needs to improve.

Read the schedule, there's like 3 or 4 dedicated sections to FFXV showcasing gameplay and also a Q and A with Hajime Tabata. You've clearly not read the OP.

Or FF7R. Most people think Toriyama's new project is FFX-3, FFX was perfect as one game. I hope it's a prequel to FFX with Jecht Auron and Braska instead of a sequel to FFX-2. Or it may be a new Parasite Eve game.

KH3 would never overshadow FFXV at this moment. Besides, all they'd have to do is show off a small amount of footage or even a screenshot or even a teaser to get us hyped for KH3. Square can control how much information they present you know? A small bit of KH3 could never overshadow FFXV. Oh and another thing, if that's the case then why don't Square just not promote anything at all besides FFXV? They are showing a lot of games besides FFXV, who's to say those games won't overshadow it?

 

Your statement can be applied to any game that Square are promoting, hey let's not show off Deus Ex or Kingdom Hearts 2.8 or Dragon Quest because they might overshadow FFXV! Nothing can take the steam out of FFXV when they've given it nearly 10 trailers, a special collectors edition, it's own car, it's own movie and it's own anime plus tons of information revealed through interviews and whatnot. The schedule is promoting the hell out of it, one small bit of KH3 could never out do that.

 

If KH3 did get shown off, within 3-4 weeks everyone would just forget about it besides the hardcore fans.
