Persona 5 coming out February 14th 2017 for US.

Atlus just announced today that they are going to release the long awaited next installment of the Persona series to the US next February.  Now I am a bit disappointed by this because I was really looking forward to playing it this year but I'm glad we finally got a release date as well.  And with that announcement they also announced two special editions for the Playstation 4 version of the game one where it's a steelbook case and the other one which includes the steelbook case as well as a small plush of Morgana, one of the school bags, a soundtrack with some of the songs, and an artbook of the game.  Now this is a great collectors edition and it's only going to be $89.99 with just the steelbook edition for $59.99. Now these editions are only for the PS4 version of the game and it is still getting released to the PS3 as well.  I just wish you could get the normal artwork for the case because I love the way the case looks and the steelbook is cool but not as cool as the actual cover art.

 

Edit: Currently the Steal Your Heart edition is sold out so hopefully they will get more of them soon

That's great for everyone who is looking forward to the game! Never tried Persona myself, but I'd be willing to give Persona 5 a shot if Atlus learns how to find Europe on a map.

edit: just pre-ordered the regular steel case edition because the $90 one is currently sold out. as soon as they get more in i'll swap out the orders

Now let's cross fingers it also gets an European release... Since currently no one releases Atlus games here. But since Sega owns them nowadays, maybe they'll release it...? Hopefully.

Though, since PS3 games aren't region locked (I think? Most of them at least?) I could order it from America.

I kinda figured. It was either that or December 2016, so it's not a huge loss, and I love the Valentines theme they'll do with it. And honestly, I have enough to be playing, so this will give me enough time over the summer to finish DAN.

This makes me feel a bit better. ^^ At least they haven't totally forgotten about us.

EU releases are usually announced later than US, so hopefully we'll get a release date eventually.
