Firaga 5,947 Posted September 16, 2016 (edited) Tokyo Game Show 2016 showed off a trailer for the game, revealing a lot of new things: EDIT: (9/18/16) Also, here is a video from Rhymestyle breaking down the open beta release and other new details. Ultimus Grid 546 Posted September 16, 2016 Although I didn't understand a lot of what was going on, all of that was cool. What's also interesting is when the open beta comes out.
Firaga 5,947 Posted September 17, 2016 (edited) Some more TGS coverage has rolled in, this time featuring gameplay the CaC Namekian's Giant Form, the new 6v1 mode, a brand new playable character in Imperfect Cell, and a sneak peak at the full character roster for the game base through the latest demo build (which could still change between now and the game's release mind you.) Ultimus Grid 546 Posted September 19, 2016 (edited) So the transformation for humans is the same for both males and females. The reach of the power-pole looks pretty deadly. Giant form for Namekians still looks a bit awkward to me, but I digress. Looks like the other players in the 6 vs 1 mode actually do have to deal with a possessed one, which makes the mode even more exciting. Isamu Kuno 2,512 Posted September 19, 2016 (edited) Too bad I'm gonna miss the beta period. That weekend is my anniversary so I'll be out with my guy but because I'll be with him I don't mind missing it. Also too bad about the hair. I know that was a big complaint about the first one. I don't see why they can just program a specific SS hairstyle for each base one, I don't think there are that many. I don't see why they can just program a specific SS hairstyle for each base one, I don't think there are that many. It was only one hairstyle. Plus, we don't know if that's going to be permanent in the final release. EDIT: (9/19/16) More new gameplay has been shown at TGS, this time featuring the brand new character Majin Vegeta. Ultimus Grid 546 Posted September 19, 2016 It's nice to see Majin Vegeta in action, but it looks like he plays just like regular Vegeta. Not that I expected any differences between them.
Firaga 5,947 Posted September 21, 2016 (edited) Rhymestyle and SeeReax discuss the competitive gameplay differences and improvements from XV1 to the recent builds of XV2. (EDIT: 9/21/16) There is now an English subbed and dubbed version of the new trailer from TGS: Also, here are some new screenshots that show off some new things for the game: (EDIT: 9/22/16) DBZanto uploaded a view of a scan found by Nostal/Treevax. The scan is untranslated, but seems to be focusing on showing off Nail as a brand new character, the appearance of Meta-Coola, and Bulma and Dende as "sub" characters, which is most likely a code for characters that appear in the hub world in Conton City and who can offer services such as tasks, mentorship, etc. (EDIT: 9/24/16) SeeReax breaks down some screenshots of the game detailing online features, specifically ranked online battles: Edited September 24, 2016 by Firaga Sensei 1 Ultimus Grid reacted to this
Ultimus Grid 546 Posted September 26, 2016 For those interested with pvp, that information is nice to have. I like how commercially aimed the TGS trailer is at the beginning. I wondered how the army of Meta-Coolers would play out, but judging from the screenshots, it looks like how it was in the first game. It'd be kind of cool to learn a healing move from Dende. Firaga 5,947 Posted October 9, 2016 Small but somewhat important update: there's tons of videos out on the beta(s) right now, so if you're curious, go ahead and look them up. I'd link some here, but there's a ton of videos being uploaded by various sources and they all involve basically running down what I presume is at least a small whole portion of the game, including tutorials and cutscenes. Ultimus Grid 546 Posted October 10, 2016 From what I saw there were some problems but overall the game looked great. Now to wait for the open beta this weekend.
Shulk 8,623 Posted October 11, 2016 I'm guessing the open beta is PS4 only? I wanted to try it out on my computer since I don't have a PS4 yet, so it'd kind of suck if those plans don't work out.
Firaga 5,947 Posted October 12, 2016 (edited) I'm guessing the open beta is PS4 only? Unfortunately, yes. Firaga 5,947 Posted October 14, 2016 Great, Super characters. Now there's just the big guy that almost everyone wants to be confirmed. But Broli is unfortunately already in the game. 3 Ultimus Grid, Shulk and Sendou Aichi reacted to this
Shulk 8,623 Posted October 14, 2016 (edited) But Broli is unfortunately already in the game. Magetta isn't though. We need the best DB fighter of all time to join the fight. EDIT: I meant Botamo but Magetta works too. Edited October 14, 2016 by Shulk 1 Firaga reacted to this

Zack1187 34 Posted October 18, 2016 So, having played the Open Beta of Xenoverse 2, I can say, that I had a blast, just... Just a good time playing it. Man, it really is an improvement in basically every way over the first game. The 25th is going to be a very good day for me. 3 Firaga, Sendou Aichi and Ultimus Grid reacted to this
Sendou Aichi 2,356 Posted October 18, 2016 I really liked what I heard and saw so far(doesn't contains story spoilers or anything like that, just changes compared to the previous game- in case that any of you want be surprised by them when the game comes out) One of the favourite things I heard is that ultimate finish RNG is gone and that the RNG for drops is much more better, which is nice. Repeating a mission like 10 times just to receive one skill was a pain in XV1, especially if it was a long mission. Also it seems that there is no RNG on mentors appearance as well- they stay in the same place. 2 Ultimus Grid and Firaga reacted to this

Ultimus Grid 546 Posted October 19, 2016 SeeReax uploaded a video showing off the new Training Mode as well as getting technical with in-game damage ratios from Super Saiyan power boosts: That was one of the many things that I loved in Dragon Ball games like the Budokai series. I remember spending hours trying to perform a certain move or learn how a certain character fights. I was kind of disappointed that Xenoverse 1 didn't really have a place where someone could practice outside of the story or PQs with the most amount of time. It makes me happy that's coming back in 2. 1 Sendou Aichi reacted to this
