Why Don't They Put Other FF Villians In KH?

You know something has accured to me recently...Sephiroth is the only FF villain that has appeared in KH. You guys think they should put other FF villains in the KH games as well? Because I think that would be cool. They should put in Kefka Palazzo (because let's face it, he's pretty much the FF version of The Joker), Caius Ballad (Seriously he's pretty much one of the most well-developed characters in FF XIII series that I actually like along with Serah Farron and Sazh), maybe Ultimacia since the series is pretty much using time travel elements now (which is still pretty cliche by the way), and maybe they could put in Kuja. Seriously, why haven't they brought in other FF villains yet? This IS a Disney and Final Fantasy crossover series after all. Than again...SE is really starting to make the FF part of KH more and more irrelevant with each new title. Seriously, aside from Mogs we hardly see a lot of FF characters post KH2. I mean there was  Birth by Sleep, Coded,and heck, no FF characters appeared in KH3D or Days at all...NONE...AT..ALL (and Moogles don't count). So yeah, where are dem villains at m8?

Because Disney tends to be a lot more popular. Worldwide, more people have seen Disney movies than people have played Final Fantasy games, so it makes sense to capitalize on that more. (Besides, KH2 had enough FF characters for like 10 games, I'm fine not having to meet more.)

 

I guess some of them could make for decent boss battles maybe, but I'm not familiar with enough of them to even know basic things about them (although the Zack fight sucked ass in BBS). I seriously wouldn't even know anything about Sephiroth if he wasn't in Kingdom Hearts.

Well of course I'd love to see more FF villains in KH...or more FF characters in general anyway. But yeah, we are in a major shortage of FF villains, so far all we have is Sephiroth (yeah, he can hold his own pretty well but I still want to see some of the other baddies after my exposure with Dissidia) and Seifer, but even then Seifer was technically a rival anyway, so in a sense we still only have Sephiroth. I know most of the villains would require bringing in the protagonists that foil them...but that would also be awesome, so yeah, do it anyway! I'm also not sure of how likely this is, but it would be awesome to be reunited with Tidus, Selphie, and Wakka in their older forms, somewhat reminiscent of their FF debuts. Like Tidus can already have a water sword, Wakka's Blitz Ball could have a few more "gimmicks" added to it, and Selphie could have her actual nunchaku, and it would be pretty cool to see them help fight against the Heartless, however small of a role they still might have. Really I just want to hear Jason Arnold Taylor again, so if they could bring him back to voice a 14/15 year old Tidus that would be cool!

A Caius secret Boss would be amazing. Why isn't this a thing yet? Hopefully  KH3 will fix the FF character deficit,  I mean why not have more FF Villains as boss fights like Sephiroth? It's kinda annoying that he is the only one.

We also had Seifer and his gang if that counts,they we not evil in KH2 but they were in FFVIII.I also hope they bring other villains in KH3 as optional bosses.They could do a similar room to the Garden of Assemblage where you'd fight all Final Fantasy main villains from 1 to 15 or include them in the story even if they don't play a major role.Leon and his gang will most likely return for KH3 so I'm sure we'll see tone of new Final Fantasy characters,lets just hope they don't forget the bad guys

I totally agree with you, but don't you mean James Arnold Taylor (he did Tidus in FFX right?) I only know his name because he also happens to voice Ratchet from Ratchet & Clank.

 

We need more FF characters, I feel like the helped flesh out the world more, even if some characters were misrepresented. I guess we'll just have to wait until KH3 Actually comes out(whenever that is, LOL)

Yeah, he voices Ratchet as well, and I feel that he did a decent job, from what little I've seen of R&C anyway. He also voiced Johnny from Johnny Test, and though the show itself is pretty annoying and cringy, he still did a decent job with the character he was given. He's certainly got an iconic voice any way you look at it.

 

I guess the way it has been so far is that the FF characters kind of made up for the lack of more original characters in the beginning of the series, but once they kept making more and more characters I guess there was less need to compensate? I don't know, I really doubt that was the actual reason behind the lack of FF characters lately, but it certainly is a strange trend I noticed as the series progressed.

I would go with Exdeath, Kefka, The Emperor and Caius. Maybe Golbez or Garland would be nice too, but I would much rather have the other ones. Having Chaos as a boss would be rather surprising (Chaos as in the boss of FFI, not from Dissidia)

Because Sephiroth is the only iconic villain in the entire Final Fantasy series. In fact, I'm not sure why they even bothered putting any characters outside of the Final Fantasy VII cast in Kingdom Hearts, it is the best and only relevant one after all.

It's NOT a Disney/Square crossover, it's a Disney game created by Square, the FF/SE characters are just minor cameos and Nomura only put them in the first game because he didn't feel like creating brand new characters for such smaller roles, once the second game came around he felt more confortable with it and thus the cameos become less and less.

I think the most plausible reason is to not make KH an FF game in essence. If they start chucking in FF villains all willy-nilly like Gilgamesh and Kefka, it will start to feel more like an FF game than that of a KH game. So I think they should keep it to Sephiroth and I would actually like to see a Gilgamesh secret boss too but that's besides the point.

Ooh, here's an idea. Maybe the first game in the next saga can have a group similar to Maleficent's Cadre of Disney villains, only with FF instead and lead by (who else) Sephiroth.
