If we voted with our wallets and didn't buy Paper Mario they'd probably think nobody wanted a Paper Mario game at all. While effectively stop making games for the franchise rather than just make a game that we want Paper Mario to be. I've even heard from some people I know that they will buy Metroid Prime Federation Force just to support the Metroid franchise and not because they want the game Yeah that's one of the risks unfortunatly, but if Nintendo are smart they'd know exactly why it'll sell poorly and if you thing about it,games like New Super Mario Bros,Twilight Princess,Star Fox Zero,Donkey Kong Country Returns are all games that were made to return to classic because of fans complaining about the previous enteries being too different then what they are used to (Mario Sunshine,Wind Waker,Jungle Beat,Star Fox Adventure),so there's hope, Nintendo can understand what we want from the Paper Mario series. 1 Exiblade7 reacted to this
Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted May 8, 2016 Funny this is getting headlines again, considering it was a petition on the day Color Splash was announced.
Aile 273 Posted May 8, 2016 Pretty sad that people feel the need to start a petition for things like this. If you don´t like a game, don´t buy it. It´s really THAT simple.
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted May 8, 2016 A petition to cancel a game? Now that is downright silly, in my opinion. If you dislike the game simply don't buy it; that will hurt the company and they'll learn that fans don't like it. The game is already in development and they have already put money into this. It would be silly if they actually listened to the fans that signed the petition and said, "Oh, yeah, right! Some people won't like the game. Let's stop everything and cancel it, disappointing the thousands of people who would actually enjoy and purchase the game." I'll admit that I wasn't a fan of Sticker Star, but I enjoyed other Paper Mario titles and am willing to give Color Splash a chance. You never know when they'll actually come up with another great Paper Mario title and it would be worth playing to give it a chance, at the very least. But cancelling before it ever comes to fruition? That doesn't make sense for Nintendo to do at all. 1 Setrex reacted to this
