~Elia, the White Mage, Johnny and Corrin, Lufenia~Elia, stunned by Aqua's question, tried to work things out in her head, "Garland. In my world he was sent back in time to become a god. Perhaps he used some of that power to extract some darkness from Terra's heart to give Xehanort form."Johnny addressed Ventus and Xion, but he was quickly thrown off by the dog that had jumped on him. Johnny laughed as he tried to push the dog off, "Easy, boy! Easy!" Johnny saw the girl who had approached them, who was currently apologizing for the dog. Johnny addressed her, "It's fine. He did no harm."Looking around at the rest of the battlefield, Johnny and Corrin counted heads."I'm one short," Johnny said. "Where's Lightning?"Corrin looked confused, "Who?""Lightning. Pink hair, bad attitude, hates taking responsibility for her actions. She was helping..." Johnny looked towards Mog and the mage, still battling the dragon-man. "She was supposed to help them. But where did she go?"

~Aqua, Terra, Ven, Link, Xion and Serena~ ~Lufenia~Aqua gasped and shocked after what Elia say to her. She look down, her eyes getting warm and watery. "It's all my fault...." she said as she Starting to cry. Terra looks at her, then he hugs her and said. "No, Aqua. It's my fault. I was too weak to stop Garland. I swear, I'll make Xehanort and Vanitas paid. Please don't cry...." Ven joined in the hug as well. "Yeah. I'm not done with Vanitas, especially he stole Elsa's and Corrin's power." He said. Link walk to Terra and said. "I'm sorry about leaving friend behind....." he look down and feeling a bit depressed.Xion stared at the dog in the cute way. "Awww, so cute!" She hugged Pluto and she was over excited. *giggles* Serena giggled at Xion when she excited to the dog. "Oh, I never introduced myself. My name is Serena. It's nice to meet all of you." She bowed down to them politely and shyly smiled at them. "To be honest with you, the dog isn't exactly mine. He had a the letter on his collar though." Holding out a small piece of paper, about to give it either Johnny or Corrin. Edited by Yessie Maltese

--Locke -- Ruined City--

A weak smile found its way onto the treasure hunter's face as Gau lifted him from the ground.  Upon reaching Gau's side he drew in a sharp breath, the needles in his side paining him beyond belief.  Gau looked to be almost equally as miserable, which made him feel rather sorry for the feral youth.  Still, he greatly admired his determination and courage, and was also very grateful for it.  "Thanks, Gau.  Let's see where that awesome nose of yours gets us."

He managed to limp alongside Gau, painfully at first until his side began to numb.  Eventually the motion of walking became more automatic than that of a chore, which made things considerably easier as they trekked through the ruined city of doom.

The sun was finally starting to light the sky, making it considerably easier to traverse now that they could see their surroundings.  The buildings surrounding Locke and Gau were a bit older than he'd once assumed, rust visible trailing down the side of a few sheet metal ones.  The buildings became fewer and farther between, the vegetation seeming to thicken as they proceeded down their long walk.  Hills could be seen as far as they eye could meet, which caused to remain a little apprehensive.  "Gau, what do you think?  Should we keep going this way, or does that nose of yours think we should look elsewhere?"

He partly wondered if they should venture back to Melmond where he'd hoped to at least find a little bit of a civilization that could aid them, but it felt so far away now, and he couldn't help but fear a potential ambush.

--Noel -- Lifespring Grotto--

Elsa's response was very much unexpected by the brunet, let alone preferred.  Noel couldn't help but facepalm before turning on heel to Elsa.  "Hey," he said, his voice soft so that the mermaid couldn't overhear.  "Please don't get mad.  I'm sure it was just an honest mistake.  I know it would be upsetting, but I think we could really use her help.  It looks like water may be what lies ahead from here on out, and we could use a water creature on our side.  Please."

He wasn't certain how much sense he could talk into the girl, especially since she seemed particularly agitated by the mermaid, but he certainly hoped that he could change her mind.  Behind him he heard the mermaid giggle in response, and when he shifted to steal a glance over his shoulder he merely saw the mermaid grinning in their direction. Finally he let out a sigh, walking back to the water's edge and getting onto his knees again.  "Okay, I am sorry if I seemed short with you.  We have had a very long day and we would just like to get somewhere to rest and recover.  Please help us find our way to the village.  I can pay you something if you would accept."

The mermaid merely scoffed in response, folding her arms across her chest.  "You think that you can buy my services, young man?  Well, you are very much mistaken.  Once you acquire a decent set of manners come back and talk to me.  I might consider helping you then."

And with that she disappeared under the water's surface, her slight figure barely visible as it sped away into the water below.  A sigh escaped Noel as he threw himself back on the ground.  That was there chance, and now it was gone.  "Well, that went well," he muttered sarcastically.

--Caius and Schala -- Lufenia--

While Caius had hoped for a better strike upon charging at Magus he did receive some damage, though unfortunately the mage hardly seemed fazed by the injury.  Caius had hoped that it was a facade and that he truly was suffering, but did not decide to rely on this thought.

It took a split second for Caius to realize that Magus was darting away, perhaps to flee--but no, Schala was still behind Caius; there was no way that he would flee without his sister.  He started to raise his blade and move, but realized that Magus was deep in concentration, as though conjuring a spell.  Mog was now alongside Caius, though did not offer any immediate harm.  It was then that Caius saw his opportunity and decided to leap upon it.  He kicked at Mog full-force to the stomach, though did not pause to see how hard he had managed to harm him.  He fled with immense speed to Schala, whose eyes widened as he approached.  The eidolith crystal upon his sword began to glow, and at that moment a portal of darkness swirled into existence.  He shoved Schala through, at which she gasped and cried Magus' name.  Caius partly stepped through the portal, eyeing Magus.  "I can assume we shall meet again.  You were lucky to walk away with your life this time, but do not think you will be so lucky in the future."

And with that, Caius disappeared behind the swirl of darkness.  If Magus had released dark matter then--which was quite possible--it licked the back of Caius' calf before the portal closed and left the Moogle and mage alone in Lufenia.

(Johnny, not sure if you missed it or not, but Genesis flew with Link to Corrin's group, greeting them...sorry for not noticing earlier, was a bit busy yesterday)

Magus & Mog- Lufenia

The moogle got hurt from the kick he received from Caius. Martial arts were his weakness, due to his small size.

When Caius kidnapped Schala, Magus was surprised when he noticed his sister didn't escape. He thought that she escaped already. He fought Caius in order to give her time to escape, and there was plenty of time for her to do so: "Schala! Fool, why didn't you escape?!"

He then replied to Caius' comment, perhaps as an insult: "Lucky?...is this why you are running away?"

Mog recovered from the kick, and cast Curaga on himself and Magus."I think we should head over there, kupo..." he said, as he is pointing towards Johnny's group.

"Wait, where are you going, kupo?"

"I finally get to meet her and this is what happens? I won't allow it" Magus said, as he was going towards the teleport stone. The location he chooses to teleport is Chaos Shrine, because he thought that Caius would go there, reporting his success to Chaos. Of course, he didn't teleport to the Edge of Madness, where Chaos lurks in the case that he will hurt Schala, but teleported to the Old Chaos Shrine instead, which is close, hoping to meet Caius there or a lead to his location.

Mog then came to Johnny, delivering the news: "The dragon-warrior fled along with the girl that way there... the mage that was with me went to that teleport stone, searching for the warrior...kupo..."

-Elsa and Lisa, Lifespring Grotto-Elsa still wouldn't talk or move, the sight of even looking at the mermaid just making her want to attack her. When the mermaid left, she turned around and said, "Good riddance!" And kicked the ground in the direction where the mermaid was. Then Lisa woke up, finally done resting. Elsa wanted to put her down, but she was afraid that something would pull her down into the water. So she continued to hold her baby girl. Lisa started to babble quietly, trying to touch her mother's flower pin. Elsa giggled at her and said, "No-no, Lisa. Don't pull that off my hair." When Noel fell to the ground and muttered something to himself, she said, "Look, I'm sorry. It's just that I don't like it when people seem to think that I'm with the guy next to me. It gets on my nerves." Edited by KHUndertaleFan25

Xathnan was shocked that she knew of his approach. "Why would you come to me knowing my sins and what i did at melmond? I acted out of hatred. No one understood me. I hated everyone who called themselves a hero." tears filled his eyes as he dropped to his knees ashamed to look the goddess in the eyes. He killed countless people. If cosmos killed him here he would accept it. After all he never showed mercy to his enemies. Cosmos had him at her mercy. " I want a fresh start but I dont deserve it. If my death is what you seek then so be it."Wol at kefkas towerIt had a long journey but he finally tracked the presence here. "What is it about this place? I sense Garland all over this castle. It is a certain hatred that must be vanquished." wol proceeded in the castle

~Cosmos, appearing before Xathnan~"I understand that you approach me differently than the warrior before you," Cosmos said, her voice soothing the soul of the troubled boy. "He came to destroy me. You come to repent." A small smile could be seen in the cloudy figure, "I understand that you do not want to continue on your destructive path, and I do want to encourage you on that path. However, I cannot give you the light I have given my warriors. I can only welcome your help."~Xehanort, Garland and Vanitas, Kefka's Tower at the Sage's Cave~Xehanort began to feel a strange sensation coming from further down the tower. A light, a presence he'd felt before. He turned to his apprentice, "Quickly, Vanitas. Someone else is here."A voice, all too familiar with him, sounded out from behind him, "And perhaps not the one you were expecting."Xehanort quickly turned and noticed the massive figure immediately, "My master!" He dropped to his knees, trying to feign respect for Garland, "I have found my chosen rival. He will soon face the bitterness of defeat and death."Garland looked past Xehanort and saw the boy try to stand up, "And what purpose does the boy serve?"Xehanort looked up sharply, "That is...I needed his..."Garland's weapon appeared by his side, "I gave you my strength, and you repay me by betrayal? By creating a futile weapon to use against me?"Xehanort stood up and began to walk backwards towards Vanitas, "No, my master, that was not my...""Are you saying you are too weak to stand alone against your rival?" Garland began to walk towards Xehanort, putting him quickly on the defensive."No!" Xehanort shouted back to Garland.

"Then why is your meager creation so weak?" Garland said, causing Xehanort to stop entirely. Xehanort thought to himself, Does he actually know what happened to Vanitas?

"I do," Garland said. "You split his soul too much. With every power you give him, you put another persona in his head. Every persona wants to take control. Surely you have felt it too. When you summoned your Guardian, you felt a weight being lifted. My soul being removed from yours. But your apprentice does not have that benefit. Too many voices, and no ability to gauge his own strength." Xehanort was stunned. What was this man that had created him? How did he know so much? What on any world was this monster called Garland?

~Aqua, Terra, Ven, Link, Xion and Serena~~Lufenia~Xion stared at the dog in the cute way. He had a the letter on his collar though." ~Johnny, Corrin and Elia, the White Mage, Lufenia~Johnny noticed the warrior in the red coat approach with Link. He addressed them, having now recovered from being tackled by Pluto, "Good day to you, Genesis! Did you happen to see a girl with pink hair around here?" His attention was then quickly diverted to Mog, hearing that one of their allies had left."Magus, leaving us already?" Corrin said, now holding the letter Serena had given him. "And what girl?"Elia walked up to the two, "From what I understand, Magus cared deeply about a sister of his. He was actively looking for her, right?"Corrin nodded, "That seems to be correct."Elia continued, "It stands to reason that that girl may be his sister and that he's trying to pursue her."Corrin paused in thought, "Are you saying that Magus...""...left to chase down the dragon-warrior, who has his sister?" Johnny finished the statement."Precisely," was all Elia left the two with.Johnny turned back to Genesis, "Sorry about that. Girl with the pink hair. Does it sound familiar?"(I'm not going to say what's in the letter, since I don't know what Yessie wants it to say)

~Mog and Genesis, Lufenia

Mog added to Eila's statement : "I think so too. He muttered something about not allowing it to happen, kupo."

Genesis, now in his normal form, without his wing summoned, replied to Johnny: "I am sorry, but I didn't see her... I was too busy fighting to notice what happens around me..."

Genesis was about to add information to his sentence, but was quickly cut short by Mog: "I saw her kupo, she was heading north from where I fought... I was too busy fighting the dragon in order to do something about it, kuuppo... "

Genesis didn't like to bring additional bad news,  but nevertheless he had to: "There is another problem. The person that was fighting with me and uh... what's your name again?...betrayed us. Our enemy is still fighting him however, not sure why. That's why I came with him here actually, to bring him to safety. There is no point to fight them when they fight each other."

Xathnan en route to sanctuary

Its fine I can fight with my own strength. But your chosen will not trust me...I have caused so much harm to prove myself as a warrior. I dont blame them honestly. --Schala -- Edge of Madness--

If there was one thing that Schala would never do once this was all over, it would be teleportation and traveling through dark portals.  It always made her feel nauseas, and the feeling upon landing was never pretty.  Schala landed on a slate of marble tile, her pale-blue locks brushing it clean.  A slight moan escaped her as a wave of heat from the lava pool below burned at her face, pulling herself up to her feet.  This was the place she detested.  The place where Chaos threatened her and all that she cared about.  Magus nearly gave up his life to save her, and now, save herself was the very least that she could do.  It would only be moments before Caius followed, she assumed, unless he chose to stay and fight her brother.  A fool's errand, as Magus far outmatched Caius in magic and she knew the guardian was already losing his strength, but it was possible.  To escape from the Edge of Madness, however, would be challenging.

Immediately Schala darted around the entrance to the Edge, eyeing the pathway which led to the Chaos Shrine.  Her only hope of escaping Caius and Chaos would be through there, though she knew that the place would be flooded with Chaos Warriors.

That was when her eyes fell upon the teleportation stone.

Her heart skipped a beat as she stared at the stone in disbelief.  She had assumed that its placement was for warriors when they were eager to depart, though it was indeed eager timing to be certain.  She snatched up the teleportation stone and squeezed it in her palm, closing her eyes and wishing to be anywhere but there.  A warmth spread over her entire body and her surroundings shifted from the Edge of Madness to a brilliant white, when she felt her body grow incredibly light.  This was far more pleasant than traveling in the manner that Caius usually ordained, much to Schala's relief.

Eventually her surroundings were replaced, with hills and trees of bright green.  The Zealot Princess took a deep breath of fresh air, a small smile of relief and satisfaction washing over her face.  That was, however, until she spotted two people in her path: both boys, from the look of it, and leaning into each (Locke and Gau).  It wasn't until they got a bit closer that they did not look well.  While Schala was not certain if they were friends or foe, she felt that leaving them in their state was not an option.

Meanwhile . . . .

--Caius -- The Edge of Madness--

A smug grin crossed Caius' face as Magus' words echoed in his mind, traveling the darkness as though it were his greatest friend.  Casually he stepped through the portal on the other side, leading him to the very Edge of Madness.  He was ready to report the misadventures of the Lufenia battle to Chaos when he stopped dead in his tracks.  The girl . . . where was she?

Caius spun on heel, glancing wildly around.  His only assumption was that Schala had retreated further into the Shrine, until he saw the teleportation stone glittering on the ground.  Slowly the dark guardian strode toward it, swooping down to pick it up.  It glinted in his hand as he closed his fingers around it, tightening his fist as it shook.  "You . . . foolish girl," he growled lowly, before chucking the teleportation stone across the platform, allowing it to strike the steps leading to Chaos' throne with a smack.  No, he could not believe it was so.  How did she know how the stones worked, and why hadn't he thought of her doing this?

With fury dancing off his form, Caius marched up the steps to Chaos before bowing lowly to his master.  "It would seem that we have a few problems, My Lord, though I intend to set them right."

--Noel -- Lifespring Grotto--

The brunet pulled himself up, sighing and shaking his head as he sat cross-legged by the water's edge.  "Yeah," he said in exasparation.  "I guess it's annoying, but couldn't you have said something nice to her?  Was it really that big of a deal?"  It took a moment for Noel to finally face Elsa, and when he did he felt partly guilty.  He rubbed his temple thoughtfully, his gaze not leaving the water.  "Hey, Elsa, I'm sorry.  It wasn't only your fault.  Mermaids are fickle in nature.  Even if you did say something nice to her I doubt she would've helped us.  I guess we just need to find our own way out of here."

As he said this, the sky above them began to darken as clouds accumulated.  This was mildly surprising to Noel, with the abruptness of the developing storm.  In mere moments droplets the size of gumdrops fell from the sky, striking upon them and stinging Noel's skin upon impact.  A lightning bolt struck the ground not too far from where they stood, causing Noel to back up slightly.  "We should get back to the cave for shelter," he started to blurt, but before he could continue or make a step in the right direction massive waves sprung up from the water on either sides of them.  One of them collapsed, washing Noel with water and causing him to nearly lose his footing.  The other towered above Elsa and Lisa, though it had not collapsed just yet.

(Feel free to do as you wish with this storm, KHUndertale.  You can make the wave collapse on her if you wish, or take your own creative spin on things!)

He said as he pointed at Draksis and Ruddy. Link felt nervous while he continued his story. "And he said something about gaining that guy's powers and "help me help you situation", I didn't get it at first, but I believes he tried to kill me so he can do whatever he was planning to do. And oddly enough, he said he doesn't even know Terra." Looks at Terra and Aqua with a sad look on his face. "I got mad at him and raise my blade at him. Please, you have to believe me! I'm not making this stuff up. Please, Corrin, Johnny and Terra. I never betray everyone in my life..." "Link...." Aqua had her hands together against her chest and look down. Terra couldn't believe it but he had a feeling that Link is innocent so he had an idea. "Alright, The three of us will talk to him. I'm not saying I don't trust you, but we need to know who's innocent and who's not." He looks at Corrin and said. "And Calm down, I know Ruddy our friend, but don't let your guard down. Sometimes, people we knew and care about, aren't always what they're seem. Trust me, I made mistakes a long time ago. You understand?" He said while he placed his left hand on Corrin's shoulder.

-Elsa and Lisa, Lifespring Grotto-

"Yes, it was a big deal. I just get so mad when that happens to me..." She said, fuming a little. But then Elsa started to feel a bit calmer as Noel was talking. He was right. No matter what they said, the mermaid probably still wouldn't help them. Maybe we should've teleported somewhere else..., Elsa thought. Then she noticed the storm that was starting up. Lisa was getting scared and hid her face in her mother's shoulder. Elsa heard Noel say to get back into the cave, so she started to run. Until she saw the first wave hit Noel, which made her shout his name. Then she saw that he was fine, just wet. But before she ran, a second wave came. She stopped and couldn't move.

The wave hit her hard, knocking her and Lisa into the water. "NOEL! HE-" She tried to yell, but it was too late. The water had pulled both of them down. Elsa tried to swim up, but it was too much. Then, a bubble surrounded them. It didn't float back to the surface. It just stayed down, as if there was a weight on it. Lisa had fainted, the force of the wave putting her back to sleep. Elsa looked around the bubble and tried to get out by banging on it, though it didn't work. She noticed a few mermaids coming near the bubble and so she stood her ground, ready to attack if they did.

- Draksis - The Conqueror - Lufenia.

"Even if the morrow is barren of promises

Nothing shall forestall my return"

This passing interested Draksis to some extent as Genesis flew away, disengaging from the fight. Disappointing, however Draksis had no intention of backing down. Specially since there seemed to be able combatants in the vicinity, one of which included the Green tunic wearing boy who Draksis told off.

"Let there be no respite..." Draksis muttered as he charged a dark orb of chaos energy into his hand and threw it at the group (Johnny's group). But he didn't aim for anyone in particular, this was a warning shot, meant to miss its mark entirely. It did indeed miss, however it hit a wall, which exploded with the destructive power. Possibly catching their attention. As Draksis began charging energy again, beginning to corrupt the vicinity again. Creating a small vortex's like spiral of energy. This would allow some corruption while he dealth with Ruddy.

Draksis took a few steps forward towards Ruddy. "Now...I wonder, will they help you? or try to kill us both? Then again...I've always liked free for alls " Draksis said antagonizing Ruddy before beginning his attack.

Draksis wasted no time, dashing forward, closing the distance between him and Ruddy in less than a second. As Draksis did a flurry of strikes at him, mostly four precise slashes with his sword, but rather easy for Ruddy to dodge if the man was quick on his feet. However this was part of his plan. By doing these distraction slashes Draksis could distract Ruddy enough for his next attack to hit him. Draksis quickly Slammed his sword down onto the ground after his final slash, creating a small shockwave, wheter or not it knocked Ruddy back was irrelevant.

What was relevant is that Draksis...or rather his 'armor' stood completely still after the slam, in the same position. If the deed was succesful, Draksis's spirit returned to the armor and he began moving again, back to a guarding stance.

- Hektor - Time Traveling gentleman -

"Oh my good sir Garland. What upstanding man would I be if I did not press these matters?" Hektor Replied to Garland's statement. Overlooking Lufenia still.

"I assume you're going away to deal with Xehanort? good..." Hektor spoke calmly.

Hektor began to decide, wheter he followed Garland and paid Xehanort for breaking their 'deal' or to help the people at Lufenia at dealing with Draksis...Hm, Something to ponder indeed. Hektor spoke, adjusting his tie and suit.

~Genesis & Mog, Lufenia

"I admit, there aren't many actions, really, or a strong point leading to him betraying us. But why would he circling around Link, playing with his sword like that? I mean, I don't really know him, but this isn't something a good, mentally-stable person would do...as someone who did betray his allies once, I do think that he did indeed betray us. Call it a gut feeling, perhaps. "

His betrayal was  an action Genesis greatly regretted. Upon realizing the truth of his birth, trying to heal the degeneration that was a result of his gene, Genesis once betrayed SOLIDER, one of the members there was one of his best friends, who Genesis admired, Sephiroth. Genesis betrayed SOLIDER with Angeal, Genesis' childhood friend, eventually leading to his death. In search for a cure, Genesis also lead Sephiroth astray, eventually leading to what Genesis thought was Sephiroth's death.

Darksis then threw a dark orb at the group's direction, missing them entirely and hitting a wall, catching Genesis' attention as well. Genesis, after his fight with Draksis, knows that his aim is pretty accurate: "He had a rather accurate aim when I fought him, especially not a terrible aim that it would miss all of us. He probably intended it to miss"

The orb drew Mog's attention as well: "Should we go after him, kupo?"

(I want to clarify, Johnny... Garland is going after Xehanort, so he isn't in the Old Chaos Shrine, right?)

(Correct. Garland is going after Xehanort, who is at Kefka's Tower)~Johnny, Corrin, and Elia, the White Mage, Lufenia~Johnny, still not convinced at Link and Genesis' testimonies, decided to put his own opinion in, "You guys realize we're at war, right? I've lived my entire life fighting wars, and I understand the concept of 'playing the field'. Whatever the case, I'm gonna hear things from our friend before I pass judgement on him."At that, a massive dark blast came from the north, harmlessly glanced off the side of a ruined building, but Johnny could just feel the influence of the darkness overtaking him. It felt remarkably similar to the duplicates the dark boy.Johnny took hold of Excalibur and began to walk towards the direction of the blast, "Anyone who can, help us fight. If not, start making your way to Sanctuary."Corrin looked as Johnny walked away and started to walk the other way towards the land of Cosmos, "I'm not risking it again. I'm heading for Cosmos."Elia decided to walk with Johnny, "You could use a healer."Johnny saw the armor and the man in rags and jumped into the fray, holding Excalibur in front of him, with Elia behind him, holding her staff.~Cosmos, appearing before Xathnan~Cosmos smiled at the boy. She could see how nervous he was, after all, he was talking to a goddess."I can see your intentions are not for violence towards me," Cosmos said, reaching her hand out to Xathnan. "I can trust you for that alone. As for my warriors, do not worry. I will take care of that." Still holding out her hand to Xathnan, her calm voice spoke once more, "Take my hand. Make things right."~Chaos, Edge of Madness~Chaos looked down upon the dragon-warrior, who had just returned from battle."And what problems would that be, Caius?" Chaos said, leaning over Caius, a twisted smile forming on his face, "You have already failed to eliminate the traitors, and now you have lost your precious bait. In fact, both warriors I sent with you have turned against me. Just how do you intend to fix that?"

Xathnan looking into the goddess's eyes saw nothing but peace. Something he wasnt accustomed to. He took her hand and stood up. "I want to make things right. Im not the most noble spirit but i can lend my strength today I want to make a change. Xathnan brimmed with hope and renewed vigor. He knew he had betrayed Chaos now no better than Corrin and the others. Draksis and Caius would target him and then there was the thought of her chosen. How would he stand judgement before them.

"What should I do now?"

The warrior had reached the presence of Darkness and sure enough Garland was there with 2 other warriors he did not recognize but they all had a similar pressence. Mog decided to help the others fight Draksis: "Sure, I'll help you dudes, kupo!"

"Sure, go ahead and examine the situation yourself...but aren't you forgetting something? Or rather someone? You know, that pink-haired lady you asked about, like some couple of minutes ago?" Genesis said, as he performed a facepalm, a bit frustrated. "I can help you search for her, if you want. It will be easier to search for her from the air... I won't go alone though. I doubt she will trust someone who she won't recognized...especially if he has a black wing. Not without an ally, that is."

~Magus-Old Chaos Shrine

As Magus searched around the shrine, he didn't find Caius , but Magus expected it, as if Magus is correct and Caius is in The Edge of Madness, it will take a while for him to reach there or at least close to the shrine.

What disappointed Janus was that Chaos' right-hand man, Garland, was nowhere to be found, even though he is usually there. He thought that he could find some leads about Caius' location from Garland, even if he had to fight him in order to receive some clues.

He decided to wait until either Grarland or Chaos show up,  resting in the throne in the shrine while waiting.

--Noel -- Lifespring Grotto--

Rain continued to torrent upon the hunter.  It took him a good moment to regather his bearings upon being nearly knocked into the water by the wave, turning around to face where Elsa once stood.  Panic rose into his chest as he glanced around frantically, thunder roaring in his ears.  "Elsa?!  ELSA!"

Over the roar of the raging water Noel thought he could barely hear her voice, causing him to rush over to the water's edge, where he saw Elsa and her baby being tugged in.  There was no question about it.  He would have to go after them.  Noel flung off his sheath and sword before diving into the turbulent water like a fish.  The water was salty and stung at his eyes, though he forced them open.  It wasn't long before he caught sight of Elsa and Lisa, though as he charged after them they were consumed by a peculiar bubble.  That's when he realized that everything befalling them was not of nature.  No; the mermaids were responsible.

The amber mermaid from earlier, along with a few sisters or friends, began charging toward the bubble, one holding a trident.  Amusement danced in their eyes, which made Noel fear for the worst.  They didn't wish them well--perhaps they never had--though now Noel was weaponless and could not provide much aid to his friend.  Still, he charged toward the mermaid holding the trident, her eyes widening as she readied her trident.  Once near enough he shifted, kicking the mermaid in the chest and causing her grip on the trident to falter.  He began trying to pry it from her fingers when one of the other mermaids grabbed him by the ankle, beginning to drag him deeper into the water.  He'd been holding his breath for a while, and continued to do so, but he would need air soon, and more importantly he had to free Elsa.

--Caius -- The Edge of Madness--

The guardian grunted upon Chaos' words, shifting his gaze to the floor.  While Chaos wore a smile it was not one of amusement.  Rather, he sensed that he was rather perturbed with Caius and it would take much on the Chaos Warrior's part not to be chewed out entirely.  "I understand that events went sour in Lufenia.  I trusted Xathnan; I thought that he was one of us.  I hadn't even realized that he betrayed us until he ignored my call.  Such actions will not go unpunished, and you have my word that I will track him down myself."  The lilac-haired man straightened, wincing slightly as the injuries still present on his right arm.  "As for the girl, it is unfortunate that she managed to get away, though I highly suspect that if we find her brother it will only be a matter of time before she comes to us.  The two are connected, figuratively speaking, and you can trust that I won't stop until I find her."

Finally Caius rose, his gaze meeting Chaos' with a set determination that could not be swayed.  "The truth of the matter is, My Lord, is that many of your men are slowly betraying you.  Even if I have disappointed you, you have no choice but to accept my efforts.  You cannot afford to lose me, and I will continue to be a valuable asset to your endeavors.  Now, with your leave I shall seek healing before departure.  Magus will try to find me because he thinks I have his sister, I'm sure, and once we capture him there is no doubt that we will have Princess Schala back in our possession."

"LET US GO NOW!" Elsa shouted, banging on the bubble. But the mermaid from earlier and her friends just laughed. They thought it was funny that a human was trying to get out from one of their traps. Then Elsa saw that one of them was holding a trident, which meant that they were going to do something very bad. But just when she decided to give up, Noel had jumped into the water. Elsa was amazed as he started to fight one of the mermaids. Even though she was trapped, her powers would work outside of the bubble. Soon, her eyes turned purple and she summoned a hoard of Gaster Blasters to attack the group of mermaids. "GET THOSE MERMAIDS, MY FRIENDS!" She shouted the command, hoping that they could hear her. The Gaster Blasters nodded in response and charged, shooting their lasers at the cruel mermaids.

Another means of distraction Ruddy as Draksis's spirit quickly manifested behind the man, and attempted to grab the man by the waist, either using the momentum of the throw or just appearing behind him taking advantage of the diversion. In order to do a nasty german suplex. Possibly slamming Ruddy onto the ground. If the deed was succesful, Draksis's spirit returned to the armor and he began moving again, back to a guarding stance.

"You'd be one for free-for-alls, wouldn'tja?" Ruddy commented with a grin, his coldfire gladius once again flaring to life with blue laps of energy as Draksis pressed the attack with abundant lashes.

Parrying the first and fourth blows and dodging the second and third with his rogue-like reflexes, he felt comfortable with the situation.  The armoured man seemed to greatly favour aggression in comparison to defense, but that armour served as enough of a deterrent to a blade without much limitations.  Moreover, Draksis had a command over the dark magic that he had never seen before, and the seismic shockwave--a surprising move--made his footwork unsteady but failed to knock the man backward.

Shortly thereafter, he was snared from behind, spiritual arms wrapping around his waist and limiting his movements.  He half-expected the armoured Draksis to take advantage of this, but the swordsman failed to move or even react.  Halfway through the German suplex, he calculated that the ensnaring arms were indeed Draksis' and prepared a nasty trick of his own.

Using great dexterity, Ruddy did two things:  he lowered his hand to the ground and provided an upwards-pushing air current to help him from a potentially dangerous wrestling move, and he used his other hand to propel him and the spirit around his body further away from the suit of armour.  The result would be both Ruddy and the spirit grazing the hard ground for a short amount of time, hopefully with the spirit taking more injuries than he would, as it was unsheltered.  It would additionally--at least hopefully--move Draksis' armour back as well, being a relatively strong gust.

(In short, Ruddy wants to use Draksis' spirit body as a toboggan as he blasts his way away from Draksis' armoured body.  I don't know how effective this would be on a spirit, but if he's tangible this might be clever.)

~Johnny, Tay, and Elia, the White Mage, Lufenia~

Johnny sighed, "First things first, Genesis. If Light's not at Sanctuary, then she went further into the Land of Discord. If you want to scout out ahead, go for it." Johnny paused for a moment, "Hell, she probably doesn't even want to see me."Johnny then looked to his tiny fairy, "Tay, can you go check on that guy in rags, Ruddy? See if he needs some healing magic?""Can do!" she said, darting off into the fray.Elia stood by Johnny, readying a Dia spell to be fired once the man in armor had noticed them.Johnny called out to the armor, "Hey! Shield face! You wanna wrestle?"Tay landed on Ruddy's shoulder and called into his ear, "Hey! The cavalry's here! Do you need some healing?"

~Corrin, leaving Lufenia~Corrin, now accompanied by Serena and Xion, began to run to the gateway dividing Cosmos' territory and Chaos'. As he ran, he looked to Serena, "You wouldn't by any chance know the way to Sanctuary?"~Xehanort, Garland, and Vanitas, Kefka's Tower at the Sage's Cave~Xehanort first heard the Warrior, but quickly had his attention drawn to the clown, now perched on top of one of the glass cylinders around them."What is this madness?" he said.Garland laughed, then addressed the Warrior, "Ah, my rival! Would you care to help me punish my insubordinate son?"Vanitas got up, summoned his Keyblade and stood back-to-back with Xehanort, "Master, do you think we can hold all of them off?"Xehanort called forth the Guardian and summoned his Keyblade, "Doubtful. But we must try." Xehanort stared down Garland and gave him a cocky glance, "I've been meaning to take care of you myself, old man."~Chaos, Edge of Madness~"Hmph," Chaos grunted as he stood up, now towering over Caius. "Do not forget, Caius, who summoned you here. Do not forget the power I hold. And do not forget the forces I still have." Chaos paced around Caius, "Should the traitors come to me, do you not think I hold power over them? Should they fall in battle, they will return to me. I have things well in hand, Caius." Chaos sat back down on his massive throne once more, "Go now and seek her, if you choose. She has fallen out of my sight, into the land of Cosmos. You will find her there."~Cosmos, appearing before Xathnan~"There is trouble," Cosmos said. "To the west of my Sanctuary lies a cave known as the Lifespring Grotto. One of my warriors is there, along with the woman Elsa and her child. They are in danger from the mermaids that reside there. Please..." Her form began to dissipate, "...save them."~Lightning, the Rift at the Mirage Sandsea~Lightning had been resting long enough, but her thoughts still burned inside her.Why am I even here? This was never my war.She stood up and looked around the Sandsea. To the west, she felt the massive presence of what she could only assume was Chaos. But if she were to go back...She'd have to deal with Johnny.Damn him! Why'd he think he was so important? Calling her out for battle tactics, putting her in fights she could never reasonably win, the list went on and on.Everything about that man irritated her.Damn her if she ever saw him again.

Elsa felt like she was lifted into the air. When she was put on the ground, she got angry and yelled, "HEY! I HAD IT PERFECTLY UNDER CONTR-" Until she realized who she was talking to. She held Lisa closer to her and yelled again, "STAY AWAY FROM ME AND MY DAUGHTER!" And she ran back to the cave to hide from Xathnan until he was gone. Don't worry, Lisa. I won't let him hurt you..., she thought, staying quiet just in case he tried to find her and her daughter.

~Cosmos, appearing inside Lifespring Grotto to Noel and Elsa~"Please!" a flash of light appeared inside the cavern, then the water began to form into the shape of the goddess of harmony. The figure began to speak, "Elsa, Noel, I regret not informing you earlier of this, but the man you see before you is not your enemy. Xathnan serves me now. He has seen the error of his ways and seeks repentance."

-Elsa and Lisa, Lifespring Grotto-

Elsa was too upset and so she started to run away. She didn't want to hear any of these lies because she knew Xathnan had threatened her daughter and that was something she would never forgive. Elsa kept running to hide somewhere far from that place. I can't take this anymore!, she thought, the tears streaming down her face. When she was far enough, she sat down and began to weep quietly, feeling like she was going insane from all this madness around her. "M-Maybe i should just die..." She said to herself, crying even more.
