Vaude 536 Posted May 25, 2016 (Still? What's keeping you?) Ruddy Infratel, currently fending off Draksis alongside Link . . . and open for negotiation "A thank-ye to you, mate, and you, missy . . . or guy," Ruddy said appreciatively to Link and the strange fairy circling him, the remedying magics coming into effect. While the man hated the too fickle nature of fairies, he certainly was glad of their benevolence. The pain wracking his body was for the most part gone, and only the magical exhaustion remained as his amulet once again reverted to its passive state, straining his ability to spit out mid-to-high-level spells. Things looked bad. If Draksis attempted to take him down first due to his imbuing ability, there would be little chance of avoiding attacks in his present condition. However, a certain what-if begged consideration, a mutually beneficial arrangement even though it was not perfect. The victor of this battle or even this war of the gods would be the one with the strongest warriors, and Ruddy wanted to be on the winning side. He stole a glance in Corrin's direction, then in Xathnan's, and then at Link's before turning back towards Draksis. "You're right about the nature of men, but it's not only men that strive for greatness," Ruddy commented toward the man in dark armour, smiling and circling behind Link. "Even we who are beyond men strive for something better, and it'd please me peachy to find out if I can gain power like yours. Call it a help-me-help-you situation. Ya dig?" He played with his gladius sword, two fingers of each hand balancing it out in front of him. For many it would be Ruddy's inherent strangeness, and Link would probably think nothing much of it, having just met Ruddy, but what it really was was a sign . . . a sign that Ruddy was willing to backstab a companion that healed him as a favour to Draksis before joining Chaos' ranks again. He was playing this delicately, like a viper pretending to be a harmless garter snake, and if Draksis agreed he would certainly pounce upon the opportunity should it be provided to him. (In short, Ruddy wants to switch allegiances again to gain new power, and would probably backstab Link should a possibility arise.) --Locke -- Ruined City-- A slight groan escaped the treasure hunter's lips as Gau pounced into him. He'd managed to heal him some, so thankfully he was no longer on death's door. And yet pain still seared into his side where he could feel the needles still nestled deep into his flesh. He opened his eyes, giving Gau a weak smile before patting his shoulder. "You did good, kid," Locke whispered. "You saved us both. Mr. Thou definitely should've been here to see this in action." The treasure hunter attempted to sit, but in changing position the needles shifted in a very uncomfortable manner. Locke let out a whimper as he braced his right side, propping himself up on his free elbow and overlooking the scene. Not too far away rested the hump of a monster, the still Humbaba that Gau had successfully defeated. He was incredibly impressed by the boy's skills every day, and he was very gladdened to be able to call him a pal over all of these years. The night was not growing any earlier as they sat, nor were their injuries automatically healing themselves. They would need a healer, and soon, lest their wounds begin to bleed internally and cause many other terrible complications. There was nothing to be had within this decrepit city, that was for certain, though how they would manage to leave and find medical treatment was far beyond Locke's comprehension. They needed an airship at a time like this, and suddenly Locke wished that he still had Setzer's contact information when he'd offered it. "We need to get out of this place, Gau," Locke murmured urgently, extending a hand to the feral youth. "Mind giving me a hand up and a side to lean on? We should be able to find a trail heading to a nearby village, or person, or something that can help us. Can you sniff out the scent of anyone that's recently left? That would probably be huge." Gau, currently with Locke near the Ruined City The youth smiled at Locke's words of praise, quite proud of his accomplishment, but now was not the time for such a thing, not when a friend was lying on the ground and stuffed with so many needles he looked like a pin cushion. "Gau happy to. Gau smell weak trail but still trail," he replied, trying to place Locke at his side but quickly realising the error of his ways. Gau had some quills stuffed in him as well and, taking a deep breath in and holding it, he tugged them out with a cry of pain. The needles were like greatly sharpened toothpicks and barbed like a porcupine's quills, making tearing them out not easy to do. Still, Locke would probably find it more comfortable than walking alone, and he helped his treasure hunting friend up with an "Up for Gau."

Sendou Aichi 2,356 Posted May 25, 2016 (edited) (I prefer this, Mystic...with a wind effect, of course.) Magus& Mog- Lufenia, vs Caius Magus knew how Caius felt, but wondered how his sister is involved in the person Caius was talking about: "Maybe Chaos threatened to kill that person if Caius does not join him? But why would he do that? He should have plenty of warriors, even with our betrayal...it could be that he needs Schala's powers in order to save that person." Mog could not jump in order to avoid the attack, so he cast Haste on himself in order to dodge it, but still got some injuries, as he didn't have enough time to dodge it. Magus however, was in trouble from the spell. He still had his barrier up to protect from magic, but since he was a Shadow-based mage, the spell, a lightning type one, would do some damage to him. He used his scythe in an attempt in block it, but did not block it perfectly, and still got injured. "Do not heal me, Mog...these injuries are minimal. Focus your power on him. Mind doing that jump attack on him?" "Sure, Kuupo!" As Mog jumped, Magus cast Fire II on the spear, resulting in it to be enchanted, making the jump attack stronger. Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted May 25, 2016 (Screw it imma post now.) - Draksis - The conqueror - Lufenia at war. Link's boomerang did nothing to draksis, who'd throw a boomerang at a hulking, heavy, posessed armor? the boomerang impacted his head with a thud but Draksis didn't even flinch. He was unimpressed, and not amused. However genesis's attack was impressive, "Not bad...but you made a mistake." Draksis spoke as Genesis attacked, with fire this time...an element Draksis could control with chaos. Without much trouble he grabbed Genesis's sword with his off hand, as the man put his hand on Draksis's giant blade. It ignited in flames thanks to the fire inbued in the man's hand. As genesis's sword began losing power rapidly, the power being drained to Draksis. "Fire won't work...nor will your power." Draksis taunted Genesis as the man's sword was still being held by his hand. Draksis's armor began charging with energy, glowing and flashing sporadicaly and soon enough a large explosive shockwave bursted from him, in order to both damage and knockback Genesis, Draksis letting go of the man's sword at the moment of the explosion to let the man have his weapon back. Genesis had very little time to prepare for the attack. Moreover if genesis managed to block the brunt of the shockwave he'd also have to deal with the flaming projectile Draksis launched toward him with his now flaming sword. Be it dodging or blocking. He slowly turned his head towards Ruddy, who was now practically holding Link hostage. Draksis was...not amused, in fact he was furious, he might be a genocidal destroyer of kingdoms and whatnot, but Draksis had a strict moral code. No children hurt by him or collateral damage, no backstabbing his enemies if he has a choice. And absolutely NO betrayal from either side, he'd rip the traitors to shreds with his bare hands...or rather gauntlets. "You will not gain my power, even if you did manage to acquire part of it...you'd become just like me...or worse..." Draksis responded to the man's questions. "The only thing i'l dig...is you grave..." Draksis spoke in a lower pitch tone now. Much more demonic and angry than how it sounded before (Human, metal, sorta distorted speech). "Traitors...backstabbers, deserters deserve no mercy..." Draksis spoke as he summoned a dark chaos fireball on his hand and threw it toward link and Ruddy, who was behind him. However the fireball split into five smaller, explosive fireballs which avoided link entirely, aiming at Ruddy, even if the man managed to dodge. Draksis had closed the distance with his speed gained by Destroyer armor, managing to dash and close the distance quickly, attempting to deliver a haymaker into Ruddy right as the orbs landed in their mark (or exploded.) "Run along...boy..." Draksis spoke to link, willing to let the green tunic boy go, as this wasn't his fight. - Hektor - Time traveling gentleman - Mountains overlooking Lufenia. "I think you already know the answer to that question, just by looking at the boy." Hektor cleverly pointed out before raising a hand to his chin. As garland seemed intent on fighting Xehanort. "Well...sadly, I suggest you don't. The battle is far too chaotic right now, specially with that man fighting." Hektor spoke pointing at Draksis, who was fighting with extreme power. "He shows much potential..." Hektor pointed out. "Regardless, wheter you wish to fight Xehanort or not it is your choice...I did warn him that should he hurt anyone other than his rival he'd face the consequences...So you will face no opposition from me..." Hektor spoke tipping his hat. "I don't believe I got your name...Chaos warrior..." Hektor spoke, clearly asking for Garland's name. 1 KHUndertaleFan25 reacted to this
Vaude 536 Posted May 25, 2016 (edited) Ruddy Infratel, with Draksis and Link "I don't know this Terra, but you have it all wrong, my green-capped amigo," Ruddy answered lowly to Link. While he was assured that he was prepared for any circumstances of everything blowing up in his face, he had greater hope that he would overlook the comment. "It's a con, and I'm hoping he'll take the bait," he lied, popping a Mid-Ether for good measure. The renewal of magic was glorious, and it gave him some relief, but Draksis' response to his offer was less than nugatory, perhaps closer to anger than interest. With a sharp intake of breath, he flared forth his robe in preparation for an assault and wind contoured around him. With the fireball launched in his direction and exploding into five pinpoint flames, he prepped a trick of his own devices: an oxygen-starved and very thin bubble of air to swallow up the flames formed around him as he pushed the oxygen away in all directions. Things could not have worked better in his favour when Draksis closed the distance and attacked his right. Twirling around the speedy haymaker with rogue-like swiftness, he threw himself out of the bubble and snapped his fingers mid-air. The result was a concussive blast as air at normal pressure imploded upon where Draksis tried his haymaker. If Draksis had a body, it would have been devastating, but since he was spirit with lightweight armour he had high hopes that the armour would crinkle under the powerful forces of the world's atmospheric pressures and harm the malignant spirit. Outside the bubble, a rush--nay, a shockwave--of air rocketed forth in all directions, paining Ruddy's ears and perhaps Link's as well. He wondered how bad it would have been inside the bubble with a small smile as he got back on his feet. Edited May 25, 2016 by Vaude
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted May 25, 2016 --Caius and Schala -- Lufenia-- (Shun, I was actually contemplating between Magus' theme and Heart of Chaos, so your choice was excellent. ) Mog was lightning-fast with haste cast upon him, and he was even more deadly with his ignited spear. While Caius was no longer in dragon form he was particularly weakened to dragoon attacks, but still he thought he'd had it covered. Due to Caius' thick dark armor he was resistant to physical attacks, but no longer was he immune to the harsh elements that he was in dragon form. He threw an arm out to protect himself against the spear, which clashed with a ferocious clang. The sheer speed and sharpness of Mog's spear did indeed indent his armor, though no massive damage would incur . . . until he felt the burn. The Fire II spell heated his armor immensely, and he felt his skin beginning to welt. With a growl Caius swung in Mog's direction with his massive sword, uncaring how merciless he may injure the Moogle. He then quickly tore off his armor on his right arm to spare it the best he could, for the armor was now at too hot of a temperature to safely wear. The sleeve of his long-sleeve shirt was shriveled from the intense heat, and it was safe to assume his arm was not in much better shape. He then struck his sword into the ground, casting another elemental spell, though this time it was not quite as tame. The ground buckled as it traveled in a line toward Magus, before it collected and burst forth a gush of lava. It was a spell called Inferno, covering a generous radius as lava spewed forth from the ground and into the air like a fountain. It only lasted for no longer than twenty seconds, but that would suffice for anyone near the area. Meanwhile Schala began to rise from her position, watching the battle with a great amount of uncertainty. She wished to intervene, and yet she strangely did not feel justified in killing Caius. There was something peculiar about him that actually made her feel sorry for him, and with the respect he had shown for her--even when it meant fighting off his own comrade--she couldn't help but feel that there was some good person under the darkness of Chaos. --Noel-- Lifespring Grotto-- A slight smile played upon Noel's lips as he nodded in Elsa's direction. "You've got it. C'mon, let's head this way." The mouth of the cave was considerably farther than Noel had first guessed upon their arrival. It would probably take a good fifteen minutes until they finally greeted the light at the end of the tunnel. Noel began to fidget with an ornament on his belt, thinking of the many questions he had for Elsa and a way to break the silence. He was quite curious about the young woman who came from another world, and yet did not wish to seem nosy or prying for information. Finally he decided to go with a question that he felt couldn't be taken harmfully, or at least he heavily hoped not. "So . . . back in Sanctuary, you mentioned another child, right? Is there one younger than Lisa, or slightly older? I'm guessing you can't be that much older than me," Noel said with a chuckle, his tone playful and light. Eventually they reached the mouth of the cave, and what surrounded them certainly caught the hunter by surprise. Water surrounded them on both sides, shimmering under the sun above. Rocky walls surrounded said water, which had a blueish tint to it. Noel marveled at the sight, wondering what the rock possibly could be made of, when a splash in the corner of his vision arrested his attention. A large fin could be seen disappearing under the water's edge, one of a pearlescent violet. His hand flashed to the hilt of his sword behind his back, glancing over at Elsa nervously. "Be prepared," he said warily. "There's something in there." (Johnny gave the go-ahead for mermaids to dwell here, and that's kind of what I was leaning toward. Feel free to add anything to this, KHUndertale. : )) (Sorry, will post for Locke shortly) 2 KHUndertaleFan25 and Sendou Aichi reacted to this

Sendou Aichi 2,356 Posted May 26, 2016 ~Magus & Mog-Lufenia, vs Caius Mog managed to defend himself from the sword, by blocking it with his spear, but got knocked back from the impact. Mog was in Inferno's area as well, but managed to dodge it easily by jumping. Magus however, could not dodge it that easily. He had Barrier cast on himself, which reduced the damage from the lava, but it would still cause some damage. He cast Ice II a couple of times on the ground, in order to reduce the damage and temperature. Of course, he still got injured. Since Magus and Mog were now far from each other, combining their attacks into a one attack was no longer an option. Magus cast Lightning II in Caius' direction, while Mog saw this, and cast Thundaga in order to give Caius a hard time to dodge, and increase the area of the lightning-attribute spells. ~Genesis-Lufenia Genesis, after getting his sword back, manged to fly a little backwards. Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted May 27, 2016 --Caius and Schala -- Lufenia -- The shower of lightning was none too easy for Caius to avoid. While one dose of lightning was merely a close call, the massive electric current from Thundaga was a bit too much for Caius to evade. The bolt didn't strike him directly, thankfully, but Thundaga is no small spell. Its electric currents spread far, and a sharp pain seared Caius' joints as the electricity coursed through him. The dark guardian momentarily fell to his knee, gasping for breath and clutching his side. The lilac-haired man turned a glare at Magus, slowly raising his left hand. "You . . . won't avail!" With that, a strange red glow surrounded Caius' hand, before transitioning over toward Mog and Magus. He was casting Eye of Bahamut, an ability which casts status ailments upon one's opponents. Unless Mog and Magus were able to shield themselves from the status ailments--or avoid them--they were now inflicted with Deshell and Imperil. This could get quite dangerous, as their resistance would be far lower than usual. With that Caius let out a roar, taking a mad dash for Magus and bringing his sword down vertically, as if to come down on his head. --Noel -- Lifespring Grotto-- It seemed that Elsa was certainly preparing herself, her eyes now aglow. Noel glanced over at Lisa, hoping that she wouldn't awaken from all of the ruckus. The brunet started to withdraw his sword when the water's surface rippled, and giggling could be heard nearby. No one was visible, however, which just made the situation all the more peculiar. "My my, I've seen a number of lovers come by here, but never two humans before!" The voice, high, feminine and playful, came from behind the two. Noel whirled around on heel to spot a woman in the water. We're not--I mean--she's--" Before he could finish he was interrupted by a fit of giggles from the mermaid, lowering her head into the water and doing a backflip before emerging. "So, you two not-so-loverbirds, what are you doing here in Lifespring Grotto? Have you come looking for a lost friend, or want to join the lost? And do you have names?" the mermaid inquired. Truthfully Noel was a little apprehensive from this mermaid's demeanor, but he sheathed his sword and nodded firmly. "My name is Noel Kreiss, and I can't even begin to fully tell you why we're here. It's a very long story." In response the mermaid huffed, pouting slightly. "Well, you might as well try. It's not like I've got anything else more interesting to do." 1 Yessie Maltese reacted to this
KHUndertaleFan25 2,858 Posted May 27, 2016 (edited) --Noel -- Lifespring Grotto-- It seemed that Elsa was certainly preparing herself, her eyes now aglow. Her arms were crossed on the ground, her head tilted in a mischievous fashion, and her amber locks cascading down her face and shoulders. A marigold fin appeared from behind her, making it rather apparent that she herself wasn't human. Or least, she didn't seem like it. So her eyes went back to normal and she lowered her hand, though she still kept her guard up. When the mermaid called them lovers, she huffed and said, "Hey! I'll have you know that i'm a married woman!" Lisa almost stirred from the noise, but she just continued to sleep. The mermaid then had asked for their names and why they were there. "I'm Elsa S. Jones. But honestly, i can't tell a long story like he probably can." She said, looking to Noel to tell the mermaid what happened. Though she kinda wanted to tell a bit of the story, too. Sendou Aichi 2,356 Posted May 27, 2016 --Caius and Schala -- Lufenia -- The shower of lightning was none too easy for Caius to avoid. ~Magus & Mog-Lufenia, vs Caius Magus managed to block Eye of Bahamut with his scythe, so the status aliments did not take effect, however Caius quickly dashed towards him, attempting to slash him vertically. Luckily, Magus was still in his blocking position, so he blocked most of the attacked, but still received some damage, as his block wasn't meant to block a slash. Mog, however, didn't manage to dodge Eye of Bahamut, so he received these status aliments. He noticed them, so he cast Esuna in order to remove them. He still took damage from Eye of Bahamut. Caius, after attempting to attack Magus, was close to him, which could pose a problem to Magus. In order to increase the range between them, Magus took a step back, then cast Dark Mist, a shadow-elemental spell with a big area, towards Caius. Mog attempted to cast Bio at Caius, a spell that can deal some damage and poison the target. There was no risk of hurting Magus because the spell got a low area. Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted May 28, 2016 (edited) - Hektor - Time Traveling Gentleman - "Hein Varlar Marqui Valorian." Hektor spoke to Garland about his real name, "But you may call me Hektor." Hektor spoke with a tip of his hat. "We may be on different sides, you and I. But I am not one to start a fight, I much prefer to talk, really. Only wish more people were like that." Hektor spoke as he looked at Lufenia. "Xehanort will get whats coming to him, whether by your hand...or by mine..." Hektor spoke as Garland left. Opening his pocket watch and looking at it when he was finally alone. 'Many heroes, each from a different time have been gathered to war against one another...what exactly is the purpose of all of this war?' He thought. 'Dominance? Peace? or just entertainment? A question worthy of an answer...' - Draksis - The Conqueror - Fighting at Lufenia. Draksis was not expecting Ruddy's counter attack. Stuck inside the bubble, Draksis fought against the atmosphere's pressure itself...thankfully, his armor was much, much heavier than it seemed to it had some resistance to wind, although it was still strong, and the pressure was damaging it slowly. After a few moments inside the bubble, Draksis began to channel darkness energy as it began manifesting around him, from outside the bubble one could see the dark magic rising. As Draksis slowly began to stand up from his kneeling position. As he stood up, tanking through the chaos inside the bubble he crossed his arms as he charged energy before releasing it in a shockwave that bursted the bubble releasing the atmosphere's energy everywhere in the general area of Lufenia, corrupted energy still able to be felt in the air. Draksis wasn't going down...not anytime soon. Several cracks in his armor, some nasty dents and even some punctures, all of which released a crimson red-ish black color energy from them. Draksis's Destroyer armor was damaged, and as such, he dismissed it for his normal conqueror's armor again, which was in perfect shape. "This is...entertaining." Draksis spoke as he Began walking over to Genesis, who was now slashing at Ruddy. Quickly breaking out into a sprint. Quickly approaching their position. But as he got close, Taking opportunity that Genesis was attacking Ruddy, Draksis dashed around them, ending up beside the two as he casted a darkness magic which sent out multiple darkness orbs after Ruddy, but would hit Genesis if the man continued his attack, as Draksis Slashed upward with his blade at Ruddy from a distance, sending out a small crescent energy slash at him alongside the orbs. But that was not all, even if Ruddy managed to dodge or block all of that, he'd have to deal with Draksis dashing around him during the attack, and delivering a powerful, horizontal slash with his sword, taking opportunity that Ruddy had to deal with all of those attacks beforehand. Vaude 536 Posted May 28, 2016 Ruddy Infratel, now fighting Draksis and Genesis Frowning as his two allies turned their swords on him from a slight suggestion, Ruddy pulled out his own blade, the coldfire steel awakening in a blaze of blue and shunting every strike Genesis threw at him. "Senseless idgot. Like an easily persuaded child, like palmed putty, you played into the enemy's hands when I meant no ill towards Fairy Boy over there." Again, he lied about his proposition, but turning without question was an act he was not liable to forgive readily. Genesis needed a bit of punishment, and with Draksis still in the game, wearing his original armour this time and surging forward, he could probably shift things in his favour. Sometimes in a two-on-one battle, tides can be turned by one ally getting in the way of another, and without having to squander too much magic. As soon as Draksis unleashed his crescent energy slash, Ruddy parried Genesis' last attack by turning away his sword at an awkward angle, hopefully exposing the man in red to a chop to the neck (one without enough energy to knock Genesis out, but enough to make him gasp for air). Wasting little time, he pulled his hand back to his side, twirled around Genesis, and was about to rocket forth with a gust of wind before Draksis attempted his horizontal slash. That was horrendously unexpected and caught Ruddy majorly off-guard, and he spun his sword quick enough to blunt some of the energy, but not all. Ruddy, with his foothold weak and his block light, was knocked off his feet and sent backward, crashing to the ground hard. While injured, he still had some satisfaction with his actions. Genesis, probably got struck by the darkness orbs and, with less of a chance, maybe the crescent slash, reducing the threat of a second assailant considerably. If Genesis dodged all of that, Ruddy used no magic and remained intact from a double assault, even as he shakily got to his feet with a grimace of pain. He stored enough energy for two Aeros for whatever they will do next, and that, in time, might be a game changer. (In short, Ruddy parried Genesis' attacks, got close enough to try to neck chop him enough to make him stationary, and spun behind him to avoid the darkness orbs and crescent slash sent out by Draksis to probably get Genesis hit by them instead. Ruddy failed to block Draksis' final heavy slash and bounced away on the ground before getting back up, bruised and battered but with nothing broken and no skin cut. I hope this makes sense to you guys, as my wording can be odd and my dictating where my character is not always good.)
Sendou Aichi 2,356 Posted May 28, 2016 ~Genesis, VS Ruddy, Lufenia "Idgot? What's that? Don't tell me you mean idiot..." Genesis found the man's misspelling quite amusing. After Ruddy parried his attack, Genesis managed to block the chop with his left hand. He dodged the crescent slash by flying towards the air, but one of the fire orbs exploded in his direction. He managed to block it, reducing the damage. He then flew towards Link, who agreed to leave. Genesis' main reason to attack Ruddy was to give enough to Link to answer and to prevent Ruddy from harming Link after all, not to kill him. Genesis cast Cura on Link and himself, then held Link in with his arms, and whispered something to Link: "With these two fighting each other, our best option is to let them harm each other and help the others." Before departing, Genesis said something to Draksis and Ruddy, specifically a quote from LOVELESS, Genesis' favorite poem: "Even if the morrow is barren of promisesNothing shall forestall my return" As Genesis was in the air, he changed his hands' position, preparing to cast a powerful spell. However, Genesis changed his mind, deciding that it would be best to save his magic for a different situation. Genesis was heading towards Johnny's group. Noticing the fight was over, he reached them gently dropped Link, introducing himself: "Hey there fellow warriors of Cosmos. This kid here got threatened by one of our so-called allies in mid-combat, so I figured it would be a good idea to come here. My name is Genesis."
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted May 29, 2016 --Caius and Schala -- Lufenia-- (Just so you know, Eye of Bahamut doesn't cause actual physical damage. It is like a spell--similar to haste, slow, et cetera--that causes status ailments only. Sorry if I didn't elaborate enough in my prior post.) The dark guardian was in a relentless pursuit of Magus, realizing that the mage did not want to stand anywhere near him. Further, Caius' magical resources were running rather dry, and he wouldn't have the ability to continue conjuring such strong magic with his current stamina, especially now that his left arm was rendered rather useless from the burns. As Magus took a step back Caius had taken a step forward, lunging with his sword thrust forward while Magus was vulnerable. True, he was casting a spell that would quite obviously harm him, but he was willing to take the risk. Hoping that he would plunge his sword into Magus's flesh--as he was throwing his weight behind his sword and aiming toward Magus' chest--Dark Mist took its toll on the man. He felt the stinging of the darkness upon him, and just as before in dragon form he could not see anything for a considerable amount of time. It was very gradual for Caius to regain his vision, and when he had the man could only see in very blurry shades of grey. This would give Magus and Mog a cutting edge for a time, though for Magus it heavily would depend on the damage he had received from his lunge. In the meantime he felt the pang of acid burning upon his back--which he assumed to be bio or poison--though it dissipated rather quickly. Thankfully his use of Heart and Soul buffed his abilities and immunity to status ailments, so bio did not affect him as negatively as it potentially could have. --Noel -- Lifespring Grotto-- (Sorry for the delay; I've had a bit of writer's block on how to continue with this) The mermaid snorted upon Elsa's response, shaking her wet locks of hair and spraying the three of them with water. "Exactly. I saw your ring and assumed you were married to that guy. What else am I supposed to think?" While there may have been a slight bit of truth to the mermaid's words, it still was not a very good response on her part. Noel could see that this conversation was not going in a positive direction, and he did not wish for Elsa to feel uncomfortable. The brunet stepped forward before kneeling in front of the mermaid. "Okay, look, we were in the middle of a battle and ended up here. This is Lifespring Grotto, you say? Do you know where we could find a village?" The amber-haired mermaid leaned forward, batting her eyelashes in Noel's face. His expression merely hardened upon her reaction, his brows creasing into a frown as he said, "If you can't help us that is fine, and we will be on our way." It was cold, to be certain, and after he'd said it he briefly wondered if he was being too harsh. The mermaid seemed particularly offended by his statement, tossing her head and gliding a short distance away in the water. "Well, well, here I was to greet you two and be hospitable, and this is the response that I receive?" She shot them both an accusatory look, as though they'd slapped her and screamed at her in the worst manner possible. "I know where a village is, yes, and I was happy to take you there, but now you're going to have to persuade me." A small sigh escaped Noel as he turned to Elsa bewilderedly. His expression essentially pleaded for help in talking sense into the woman, mermaid-person thing, especially because she would probably in no way listen to him now. (And I WILL post for Locke soon. I'm sorry; I just can't figure out what to do with Locke and Gau at the moment.)
Sendou Aichi 2,356 Posted May 29, 2016 ( I forgot that it doesn't deal damage, thought it was like the SAB class magic in 13/13-2, which deals some damage in addition to inflicting status aliments.) Of course, Magus knew the risk of using a spell like Dark Mist to increase the distance, which is why he wasn't surprised when Caius moved fowards and aimed his sword at his chest, which could do some serious damage. Magus, in order to defend himself, moved a bit to the right so the sword would hit his left arm instead of his chest, since not only vital parts of his body wouldn't get hurt, but his hands were protected by his gloves as well. When the hit stroke, Magus did receive some damage to his left arm. His hand got a bit injured, not enough to interrupt Dark Mist. The injuries to his arm weren't minor, but thankfully his arm was still functioning. After that, when Caius had problem seeing, Magus quickly turned around and ran, increasing the distance between them. He was beginning to cast a spell- Dark Matter, his most powerful spell. Not only he managed to increase his distance, but Dark Mist also reduced Caius' vision. These 2 facts gave Magus plenty of time to cast Dark Matter without interrupting. When Mog saw Magus running, Mog noticed that Magus' left arm was injured. Mog then saw Magus casting a spell, which Mog knew was powerful because of the amount it took Magus to cast it. Mog decided that it would be a good idea to fight close with Caius, giving him enough time to cast Dark Matter. Mog figured the spell had a big area, but was prepared to get out of its range by using his dragoon skills. Mog, in order to reduce the distance between him and Caius, used Jump. Mog landed a little backwards from Magus' location before he started running, where there was no mist. The mist was almost gone in Caius' location, so Mog prepared for an attack from Caius. 1 KHUndertaleFan25 reacted to this
