--Locke -- Ruined City--

The duo certainly managed to aggravate Humbaba, that was for certain.  He'd let out a ferocious howl as their spells collided, though it hardly seemed to take its toll on the green obnoxious menace.  Locke was impressed when Gau had managed to avoid that strong--yet quickly generated--blast of lightning, though it was in quick succession that Humbaba planned to strike again.  He turned his back to Gau, meaning only one possible thing.  The treasure hunter turned to steal a glance at his companion, though he was busily preparing a rage and deep in concentration.  "Hey, Gau, move fast!"

 

Locke's options were limited, as any spell he could cast would not fully save Gau from the blow.  Reflect would not protect him from physical damage such as the needles, as they would penetrate through the barrier regardless, and he couldn't stop Humbaba from unleashing his needles.  There was only one thing in his power to do, though he didn't very much fancy it.  Casting haste on both himself and his partner, Locke darted behind Humbaba, stabbing one of his knives into the monster's hideous shoulder as needles pierced into his body.  A few managed to make it past him in Gau's direction, but at least Locke had taken the brunt of the attack, allowing Gau more time to prepare his rage and hopefully finish off the battle.

 

"There, kid.  That'll have to do you."  Locke grunted, bringing a hand to his chest as Humbaba turned to face him.  He fell to his knees, the sensation of needles piercing his entire body overpowering him.  His head drooped as Humbaba let out a cry, opening his mouth wide.  He did not only open his mouth to cry out, however, but rather to charge up for yet another thundaga attack.  Unless Gau had a plan or his rage was nearly complete, the treasure hunter was likely preparing to see the very last of his days.

 

 

 

Gau, currently fighting Humbaba with Locke in the Ruined City

 

Locke's actions did more than allow a preparation for what was to come, Gau powering up more than he had ever before.  A few of the pins and needles thrown in his direction struck true, paining the feral youth, but his eyes glowed with a heinous light, one that flickered in a slew of colours.  "Kill," the light said, and Gau acted on that inner voice.

 

Tearing the grass with a surge forward, he rushed up to Humbaba with a burning hand kept tight and pointed.  Wherever the lad set his hand, the dried grass lit and was gone in a puff of smoke, and when he made contact with the abomination's previously raked side he plunged his hand deep.  Humbaba let out a deafening wail, the Thundaga screamed into the open sky and bolting upwards.  His arms flailed and tried their best to tear the child off, but neither worked.  Gau stayed put.  The attack was not done yet.

 

The wail grew stronger as Humbaba burned from the inside out, the fire spreading from Gau's hand throughout the creature's body and leaving little in its wake, and after a number of seconds Humbaba lumbered backward and fell in a massive heap, either unconscious or dead.

 

Gau pulled his hand out of the wound, eyes predatory and proud like a wolf after a successful kill before turning to Locke.  His gaze grew more human and his body returned to normal, the many rages dissipating into one.

 

"LOCKE!" he shouted, gripping the man fearfully and checking the damage.

 

There were so many needles, and he only had one healing spell besides the simple Cure.  He had to try healing him, however.  Locke was a packmate and a friend besides.

 

With the strong glow of White Wind, Gau cast the healing lore spell onto both himself and Locke twice in succession, the magic healing Gau to completion and probably aiding Locke immensely.  The needles would still be in the both of them and need to be torn out, but that's what buddies are for:  good friends pluck out each other's porcupine quills.

 

 

 

- Draksis - THe conqueror - Lufenia at war.

 

Draksis intercepted Genesis's fireballs , blocking them fairly easily with magic barriers and the like, The rapier attack was blocked with his sword as Draksis looked right at Genesis. "Fool...my sword isn't the source of corruption anymore...it is me...and you are right at the center." Draksis spoke as he swung three times with his sword at Genesis, one horizontal slash followed by a diagonal slash and ended in a vertical downward slash at him, dark energy channeling through his sword during the combo to increase its power.

 

However Draksis did not intercept Ruddy's open palm Enaero, as the man hit him with full palm on his back, for a moment Draksis stood motionless, as air began being infused into his armor and sword, causing it to become unstable with the dark energy "what did you do..." Draksis spoke as his armor began to crumble and his energy unstable...until Draksis and his armor disappeared in a small blast of dark energy...

 

Only Draksis's sword remained, as it fell to the ground...no sign of draksis could be seen or felt...for a few moments.

 

"A valiant effort" Ruddy would hear Draksis speaking to him as he'd feel something grabbing him by the throat. As a spirit hand could be seen manifesting around it as Draksis's spirit showed itself to full splendor. A pitch black, with hints of chaos energy around him (which would make it have some crimson colors around it.) The figure did not have a face, it had the full aspect of a human man's body...but not face or any emotions. Draksis's destroyer armor (THe ex mode armor) Began to reconstruct itself around him. Except his hand which was holding Ruddy by the throat.

 

"That attack would work...if I had a body..." Draksis spoke as snapped his fingers, creating four chaos fireballs some distance behind Ruddy. "Surely you will withstand this..." Draksis spoke as he threw Ruddy with impressive strenght at the fireballs, which would explode on proximity. Ruddy, if quick enough, could dodge it without much trouble. But he'd notice his wind power's wouldn't work at full capacity from his overexertion from earlier spells.

 

 

 

Ruddy Infratel, fighting Draksis mano-a-mano

 

Ruddy, contrary to what most combatants would do when seeing an opponent crumble to dust and dark energy, frowned.  There were too many unanswered questions as to why this man, previously impregnable and challenging, had collapsed in this manner.  Why was he dead from having his armour stripped?  Was the magical affinity of this world so immense it bettered his spell?  Was the sword more than what it seemed, and the house of the body and soul, of sorts?

 

All that was answered with the snaring of his throat and a monstrous dark chaos spirit standing in front of him, raw and malignant.  Enaero was sloughed off with its purity of darkness, and the destroyer armour built around it like little or nothing happened.

 

After a short commendation, he was lobbed backward with incredible strength and managed to see the four chaos fireballs, but was unprepared and unable to strike forth a gust.  The spells he previously cast robbed him of much of his strength and personal magic reserves, but he still had an ace in the hole.  Using the amulet around his neck, he had a refined mana reserve, one which duplicated Ruddy's stored energy in his battle and held two -ra level wind spells within its linings.  He cast that in the direction of corrupted fireballs in hopes of driving them away, and was happy to say that he would live even if it did not wholly work.

 

The fireballs exploded as Draksis planned, but only a third of the explosion's power struck Ruddy.  Even still, it hurt immensely, the flames ravaging his already worn cloak and whatever exposed skin he had.  Patting himself down and quenching the flames with a little wind manipulation (nitrogen air instead of nitrogen-oxygen air, as fire needs oxygen to burn), he struggled to get back on his feet.

 

"I guess I did," Ruddy commented with his face contorted somewhere between a pained grimace and a grin.  "Lost a few nosehairs, but I did.  Don't like what you did to my hair, though."  He pointed up at his head, flames having eaten away about twenty percent of it and the rest being singed and poofy from the heat.  "Share with me the secret.  You're a spirit, or as close to one as you can get, right?  How'dja get to your state without dying and losing your power?"

--Caius -- Lufenia--

The attack against Magus did indeed strike, though not as powerful as he had hoped.  The mage managed to defend himself against the majority of the attack, though he wasn't left unscathed.  He still had enough strength to summon dark mist, however, a shadow attack that was not quite as powerful as his dark matter, but still would inflict damage upon the dragon.  It blinded Chaos Bahamut momentarily,  his vision being limited to a narrow passage of shades of grey.  He swatted at Magus, though it was unlikely that his swipe hit due to his accuracy being so limited.  His breath had become battered; he wouldn't be able to proceed in his dragon form for much longer, as it was heavily weakening him.

 

The dragon let out a screech, turning suddenly and performing a tail swipe toward Magus.  His tail was massive and spiky, and with such speed it would have been enough to pierce flesh.  With that Caius rose a few feet above the ground, hovering to retrieve the unconscious Schala in his claws.  He'd done as much as he could do.  If he stayed longer he would not be able to return in his dragon form, and there would be quite the amount of danger if he attempted to retreat on foot with Schala.

 

--Noel -- Lufenia--

While the hunter understood that Elsa was trying to have a bit of fun at Vanitas he couldn't help but think antagonizing him was not a good idea.  The woman had wasted no time in attacking them, however, using poisonous bones in an attempt to stop them.  Noel thought that this was their greatest chance to get away.  He snatched the teleportation stone from Lisa's tiny hands and turned it, thinking of someplace warm and safe to venture to.  With his other hand he held Elsa's shoulder firmly, to ensure that they would be transported together.  Noel had no particular location in mind, but would be satisfied if they made it someplace out of harms way, where Elsa and Lisa would both be safe.

 

A strange yellow light surrounded them, and suddenly Noel's body felt incredibly lighter.  A tingling sensation crept through his fingers. The display of Lufenia distorted before disappearing entirely, the rushing of wind filling his ears and tousling his brunet locks.  After what seemed like minutes--but were probably rather seconds--had passed Noel finally felt his body's full weight again, the abruptness of it being too much for him to handle and causing him to fall to the ground.  A damp rocky terrain surrounded them; the smell of moist grass overwhelmingly filled Noel's nostrils.  He glanced over to Elsa skeptically.  "Hey, are you two alright?"

-Elsa/Levana and Lisa-Levana felt a hand on her shoulder and turned to see that it was Noel. She knew what he was planning, so she braced for it. When they left, Levana was on the ground, dizzy from the teleportation. She still had Lisa in her arms, so that was a good thing. "I'm okay... I'm a bit dizzy, though..." She said, shaking her head a bit and sitting up. Lisa had fallen asleep, tired from cheering on her mom. "Lisa's asleep. Poor baby. All tired out from watching the fight..." She said, stroking her baby's back. Then she looked up to see that they were in another place. "Where are we?" Levana asked Noel, hoping to get an answer.

~Genesis- Fighting Draksis, Lufenia

 

Genesis managed to block the slashes, but the impact from it managed to knock him backwards and inflicted some minor wounds to him.

He then saw that Draksis crumbled to dust and appeared behind Ruddy, grabbing Rubby and throwing him to fireballs that he summoned, that exploded and hit him. Genesis summoned his right wing then held his sword two-handed and flew towards Draksis, to increase his speed and power. He tried to repeatedly slash Draksis.

 

~Magus & Mog-Fighting Caius, Lufenia

 

Magus managed to block Caius' attack and managed to stay still, although was got a few injuries. he managed to stand still thanks to his scythe.

Meanwhile, Mog listened to Johnny and ran towards Magus and Dragon. The Moogle arrived shortly after the tail swipe attack, noticing that Magus is wounded, Mog healed him. Janus noticed that Caius was heading towards his sister. However, Caius was however, and that gave Magus a chance to attack the dragon using his scythe. Magus ran towards Caius and tired to attack him, without saying a word to the moogle who healed him.

 

"Hey that's rude, kuupoo!" Mog also tried to attack Caius. Being a dragoon, attacking the dragon was the best task Johnny could have assigned him. Not only Mog had fought some dragons in the past, but being a dragoon gave him and advantage- dragoons are effective against dragons, being considered as dragon hunters at some regions, especially against that one that lurks in a box.

Mog used the dragoon ability- Jump, and landed on Caius' back. He tried to pierce Caius' flash, by using his spear.

~Ven, Xion and Serena~

as they're hiding from Chaos' warriors, Serena and Pluto were watching everyone battling the enemies. Serena looks at the 2 injured warriors, then she recognize the warriors. *gasp* (V-Ven?!) she was shocked and horrified as she cover her mouth with hands. "i think he's a reason why Ven got hurt..." she sees a boy with black hair and yellow eyes. Pluto whining bit when he saw Ven and the boy with brown hair, after that, she turned to Pluto and said. "we got to help them. Guess I have to use my powers, hopefully they don't spotted us..." Serena had her hands together, took a deep breath and begin to sing.

Meanwhile, Xion trying to help Ventus up, but fall down. Then the yellow light glow around Corrin and Ven, Xion got startled by the glow. "what's going on?!" She said. After the glow fades away from the boys, Ven begins to move. *grunt* he gets up and open his eyes. She was shocked when Ven and Corrin recovered quickly. "Huh? How-" she turned around and spotted a girl in white dress and dog, hiding in the bushes. She smiles at the girl and whispers "thank you.." Serena cheered quietly after she successfully healed them. Pluto was happy and start wagging his tail, then he accidentally bark. Serena panicked and covers his mouth. "shhhh be quiet..."

By the way, Rosco: If you'd like to jump in with Xathnan I created an opening for you.  Caius is in need of help and is calling Xathnan, so if he wanted to leave the scene and join him it might be a good way to get back into the heart of things.)

 

--Caius -- Lufenia--

Of course Caius would not get away unnoticed.  It was of little surprise that Magus had decided to attack, his scythe digging in painfully to his tail.  A deep growl escaped the dragon, causing him to lash his tail about until he sent the scythe flying.  Just as he'd wrapped his claws around Schala and was ready to depart the Moogle decided to pull a dragoon and leap atop his back.  This irritated Caius considerably, and the spear lancing into his scales was the icing on the cake.  While the spear was small and couldn't penetrate too deeply it still hurt considerably, causing Caius to shake himself violently, causing the little Moogle to hold on tight if he wanted to stay in place.

 

Things were starting to get a little out of hand.  Caius did not like others to have the upper hand, nor did he like to ask for help, and yet with Magus receiving reinforcements he felt that he too would have to do similar.  Caius beat his wings as he slowly rose into the air before letting out a deafening cry.  It wasn't a cry of pain--or even a battle cry--but rather it had a unique tone.  It was a cry for help, and if Xathnan heard and was free he would come to his aid pronto.  The Dragoon had promised him a favor, after all, and if he were to keep to his word this would be the perfect opportunity to do so.  In the meantime Caius had to plan how he would survive, perhaps killing one or both of them to boot.  While out of Magus' reach he began to charge another dose of Megaflare, the orb in his throat ever intensifying as he prepared to unleash it.

 

--Noel -- Lifespring Grotto--

A strange look crossed Noel's face as he eyed the sleeping Lisa.  "Yeah, the poor kid is probably traumatized, what with everything she's witnessed recently."  He was slightly bitter about it, but he knew Elsa could hardly help it.  "I just wish we could get the two of you home.  We're at war.  Battles like the one you saw today are a common occurrence, and more people are dying by the day. You are a strong fighter, I won't deny that, but I"--Noel shook his head, turning his face away--"can't stop worry about you, Elsa.  I'm sorry if I have seemed so protective.  It's just . . . .  I've watched a lot of people die in my life.  In my world I was the only one left.  I'm just thinking about your family.  They can't afford to lose either one of you, and I can't promise that I can always protect you, not with everything going on."

 

It was the bitter truth: he feared failing.  He'd failed countless others and watched them die before his very eyes.  He could not bear the thought of permitting either Elsa or Lisa dying during this battle, especially if he survived.  The brunet's gaze lifted to their surroundings.  They seemed to be in a cave of sorts, its darkness heavily looming in.  There was light at a mouth of the cave not too far from where they stood, which shed light upon the trio where they stood.  "Truth is I haven't the slightest idea where we are, but I don't think we have much to fear.  It's quiet and secluded, which would be a great place to rest.  I don't know about you, but I'm a bit tuckered out from the events of today."

(Johnny, quick question: I read that mermaids dwell within the Lifespring Grotto and it is a place where human and merfolk could be together.  Would it be permissible to have Noel and Elsa communicate with a merfolk community, or would it be best to abstain from this?)

 

--Locke -- Ruined City--

A slight groan escaped the treasure hunter's lips as Gau pounced into him.  He'd managed to heal him some, so thankfully he was no longer on death's door.  And yet pain still seared into his side where he could feel the needles still nestled deep into his flesh.  He opened his eyes, giving Gau a weak smile before patting his shoulder.  "You did good, kid," Locke whispered.  "You saved us both.  Mr. Thou definitely should've been here to see this in action."

 

The treasure hunter attempted to sit, but in changing position the needles shifted in a very uncomfortable manner.  Locke let out a whimper as he braced his right side, propping himself up on his free elbow and overlooking the scene.  Not too far away rested the hump of a monster, the still Humbaba that Gau had successfully defeated.  He was incredibly impressed by the boy's skills every day, and he was very gladdened to be able to call him a pal over all of these years.

 

The night was not growing any earlier as they sat, nor were their injuries automatically healing themselves.  They would need a healer, and soon, lest their wounds begin to bleed internally and cause many other terrible complications.  There was nothing to be had within this decrepit city, that was for certain, though how they would manage to leave and find medical treatment was far beyond Locke's comprehension.  They needed an airship at a time like this, and suddenly Locke wished that he still had Setzer's contact information when he'd offered it.

 

"We need to get out of this place, Gau," Locke murmured urgently, extending a hand to the feral youth.  "Mind giving me a hand up and a side to lean on?  We should be able to find a trail heading to a nearby village, or person, or something that can help us.  Can you sniff out the scent of anyone that's recently left?  That would probably be huge."

(Johnny, quick question: I read that mermaids dwell within the Lifespring Grotto and it is a place where human and merfolk could be together.  Would it be permissible to have Noel and Elsa communicate with a merfolk community, or would it be best to abstain from this?)

(Yeah, go ahead.)~Xehanort and Johnny, Lufenia~Xehanort turned towards Terra's voice and saw him and Johnny in mid-attack.Xehanort was thrown back by the blow, summoning his Keyblade to block the next attack.Johnny and Terra's blades hit Xehanort's and the three were locked in combat.Xehanort looked at Terra and smiled, "You've finally given into your anger. You are becoming more worthy by the second." Xehanort began to charge a dark blast in his free hand, "See the power you could hold, if you only gave in!"Xehanort fired his blast, throwing back Johnny and Terra.Johnny looked over to his ally, "Terra, you're better than him. Don't give in to your anger."~Vanitas, Corrin, Elia, the White Mage, Lufenia~The golden glow made Vanitas step back in a flash of pain."The hell was that?" Vanitas said, holding the side of his face. When he looked again, he saw a blade in front of him.Corrin had stood up, fully healed and ready to fight once more."I'll give you one chance to make things right. Surrender now."Vanitas held his Keyblade in a battle-ready stance, "Not a chance on your life, daddy."Another figure moved to support Corrin. Elia was ready to fight."I suggest you do as he says, demon," Elia said, holding her staff and hammer together.Vanitas gave the pair a wicked smile, "And they start lining up to be killed. Let's hope you at least make some effort."~Garland, overlooking Lufenia~Garland looked over to see a man nicely dressed, some sort of gentleman.Garland scoffed, "The boy Terra was ill-suited to the purpose he was given on the battlefield. If anyone should have his power, it should be someone who wants to use it for Chaos." Garland looked back towards Xehanort and the new warrior. Garland scowled, "However, I never intended him to create another like him. As if the creation of that boy is some sort of rebellion to me..."(Hints abound with Garland...will his creation turn against him? Will Xehanort turn against Chaos and his own father?)

- Hektor - Time traveling gentleman - Mountains overlooking Lufenia.

 

Hektor sighed. "Well, the man certainly doesn't hold you in high regard, he sees you more as a means to an end other than a master or creator." Hektor explained what Xehanort had told him to Garland. Overlooking the battle and the chaos below. As for garlands statement about Vanitas's creation.

 

"Isn't it normal? for the children to surprise their parents? then why wouldn't it be normal for your creation to surprise you? Even though you brought him back there was one possibly critical flaw in your plan." Hektor began to speak to Garland, criticizing him a bit, but not losing his polite and classy brittish tone.

 

"You brought him back...gave him an objective, a purpose, but you also brought back his memories, his earlier goals and aspirations, and most importantly his ideals...he doesn't seem the one to obey a 'master', if you don't mind me saying." Hektor spoke with yet another sigh as he readjusted his suit. "He shall go after this 'rival' of his, but what of his newly created servant? and what will happen if he manages to beat said rival?" Hektor's words were delivered in such a way that it sounded both phisolophical and sensible.

 

"He has no reason to follow your command after his objective is complete...and he knows that...Surely you do too."

 

 

- Draksis - The Conqueror - Lufenia at war.

 

"Its a centuries old story..." Draksis began speaking as he walked over to his sword to pick it up from the ground, as his armor finished reconstructing itself. "Man's nature is to something...power, wealth...glory." Draksis began to tell part of his story.

 

"Men are always willing to sacrifices themselves for their causes, should they see it necessary...But what of a man who instead believed he could take on what he could not ever hope to stand against? and in turn was defeated?" Draksis spoke as abyssal energy began to spiral around his right arm, showing the corruptive powers of the energy. "I used to be a man, like you...seeking adventure, until I met a fate worse than death...on a fools quest..." Draksis spoke as he saw a strange boy running towards them. Some boy dressed in a green tunic, holding a sword and shield (link.) Punching the air in his direction was enough to direct the corrupted energy from his arm towards link at near subsonic speeds, with nasty force behind the attack. 

 

Quickly sensing Genesis's presence flying towards him Draksis held up his sword in a blocking attempt, blocking a few slashes before purposedly moving his sword out of the way so he could grab Genesis's blade. "An angel? or are you a demon?" Draksis asked Genesis as he threw his arms to the side, possibly throwing Genesis's stance off as Draksis attempted a knee kick towards the man.

(Mystic, the joke is about a certain Monster-in-a-box encounter, in FFV... as for Rosco, pretty sure that Xan changed to be good or something and betrayed Chaos as well. Maybe he can read just Scrap's posts, I don't know. Another thing, in case someone wonder why I edited there was something that me and Mystic missed)

 

~Magus & Mog- fighting against Caius, Lufenia

 

Magus was sent flying along with his Scythe, by Caius' tail. He was out of Mega Flare's width, but he was still in range to cast spells at Caius and Mog.

Mog however, was thrown out by Caius flying, and was still in Mega Flare's range. Magus noticed it, and cast barrier on Mog, as a thanks for healing and helping him.

Since Magus was not in Mega Flare's range, he had the perfect opportunity to try and rescue Schala, and he did just that. He tried to use Fire II on Caius, but was careful so it would not hurt Schala. 

Mog cast shell on himself just in case, and tried to jump and get on the dragon's head while it is charging its attack, but caste flare on the dragon instead of trying to hurt him with his spear.

~Genesis- fighting Draksis, Lufenia

Genesis' managed to avoid Draksis' grab, but Draksis managed to throw Genesis' stance off, and tried to knee kick Genesis. Genesis managed to dodge by flying sidewards a bit.

Genesis tried to strike Draksis again, using his glowing, blazing sword, although this time he also used fire in his hand, but didn't unleash it at Draksis- he tried to grab Draksis' sword, possibly impacting it from the magic in his hand.

"Neither of these things, really. Although I guess you could say I am more closer to the demon side- I do have a powerful monster's cells inside me"

(Yeah, go ahead.)~Xehanort and Johnny, Lufenia~Xehanort turned towards Terra's voice and saw him and Johnny in mid-attack.Xehanort was thrown back by the blow, summoning his Keyblade to block the next attack.Johnny and Terra's blades hit Xehanort's and the three were locked in combat.Xehanort looked at Terra and smiled, "You've finally given into your anger. You are becoming more worthy by the second." Xehanort began to charge a dark blast in his free hand, "See the power you could hold, if you only gave in!"Xehanort fired his blast, throwing back Johnny and Terra.Johnny looked over to his ally, "Terra, you're better than him. Don't give in to your anger."~Vanitas, Corrin, Elia, the White Mage, Lufenia~The golden glow made Vanitas step back in a flash of pain."The hell was that?" Vanitas said, holding the side of his face. When he looked again, he saw a blade in front of him.Corrin had stood up, fully healed and ready to fight once more."I'll give you one chance to make things right. Surrender now."Vanitas held his Keyblade in a battle-ready stance, "Not a chance on your life, daddy."Another figure moved to support Corrin. Elia was ready to fight."I suggest you do as he says, demon," Elia said, holding her staff and hammer together.Vanitas gave the pair a wicked smile, "And they start lining up to be killed. Let's hope you at least make some effort."~Garland, overlooking Lufenia~Garland looked over to see a man nicely dressed, some sort of gentleman.Garland scoffed, "The boy Terra was ill-suited to the purpose he was given on the battlefield. If anyone should have his power, it should be someone who wants to use it for Chaos." Garland looked back towards Xehanort and the new warrior. Garland scowled, "However, I never intended him to create another like him. As if the creation of that boy is some sort of rebellion to me..."(Hints abound with Garland...will his creation turn against him? Will Xehanort turn against Chaos and his own father?)

Draksis began speaking as he walked over to his sword to pick it up from the ground, as his armor finished reconstructing itself. "Man's nature is to something...power, wealth...glory." Draksis began to tell part of his story. "Men are always willing to sacrifices themselves for their causes, should they see it necessary...But what of a man who instead believed he could take on what he could not ever hope to stand against? and in turn was defeated?" Draksis spoke as abyssal energy began to spiral around his right arm, showing the corruptive powers of the energy. "I used to be a man, like you...seeking adventure, until I met a fate worse than death...on a fools quest..." Draksis spoke as he saw a strange boy running towards them. Some boy dressed in a green tunic, holding a sword and shield (link.) Punching the air in his direction was enough to direct the corrupted energy from his arm towards link at near subsonic speeds, with nasty force behind the attack.  Quickly sensing Genesis's presence flying towards him Draksis held up his sword in a blocking attempt, blocking a few slashes before purposedly moving his sword out of the way so he could grab Genesis's blade. "An angel? or are you a demon?" Draksis asked Genesis as he threw his arms to the side, possibly throwing Genesis's stance off as Draksis attempted a knee kick towards the man.

~Ven, Aqua, Terra, Xion and Link~ ~Lufenia~

Ven joined the battle with Xion. "I'm not letting you hurt everyone. Not now, not Ever. Come over here "Fajitas"!" He said as he summoning his keyblade, Same with Xion. *sigh* Aqua was glad and looks at him. "Thank goodness you're okay, Ven, but how do you recovered so fast?" She curious about him being fully healed in a short period of time. Xion looks at her and said. "I think it was your friend who healed Ven and Corrin. We can thank her later, right now, let's just stop this freak." Both Ven and Aqua nodded and begin to fight.Link his shield to defend himself from Draksis' force. He throw his boomerang at him as a gust of wind swirling around on boomerang. Ran into Ruddy and heal him with a pink fairy.A Dark Aura glowing around on Terra's hand. Looks at his hand and he got scared, then dispose the aura. "damn it." He used fire raid on Xehanort, but missed. "Johnny! does he have a weak spot or something?" He said as he dodging his attack. Terra turned around and block him while their keyblades locked to each others. "i'm not letting you win again! Not this time!"

~Magus & Mog- fighting against Caius, Lufenia

 

Magus was sent flying along with his Scythe, by Caius' tail. He was out of Mega Flare's width, but he was still in range to cast spells at Caius and Mog.

Mog however, was thrown out by Caius flying, and was still in Mega Flare's range. Magus noticed it, and cast barrier on Mog, as a thanks for healing and helping him.

Since Magus was not in Mega Flare's range, he had the perfect opportunity to try and rescue Schala, and he did just that. He ran towards her as Caius is charging Mega Flare, hoping he would get to her before Caius would.

Mog did not attempted to dodge Mega Flare by jumping. This was a pretty risky move but he tried it anyways- Mog cast shell on him in case it wouldn't work, then cast reflect on himself, in hope that Mega Flare would be affected by it. The magic defense from shell and barrier would be more than enough for Mog to survive in case the tactic didn't work.

Man, Ventus. You really are a total screw-up."Vanitas stuck his Keyblade into the ground and surrounded himself with a dark aura. Several shadow Vanitas' appeared and assumed battle stances, ready to go.They did not last very long."Dia!" Elia cried out, a flash of light quickly emanating from her staff.Vanitas was blown back, a cry of pain came out of his mouth. The damned light...Corrin approached Vanitas, still ready to fight, "Is that it? A little bit of light hurts you that much?"Vanitas scowled, a twisted version of Corrin's own dragon helm appearing over his head, "You think you're funny? I'll show you!" Vanitas' left hand transformed into a Gaster Blaster and fired at the group. Corrin held up his blade and tried to block as much of the attack as possible.

Some leader Johnny was. Sending her after a dragon? Insane. Lightning had tried to fight the thing, using her gunblade to shoot the creature, but it hadn't affected it at all. Lightning had seen the creature start charging an attack, and that was that.Lightning ran to the north. She was getting out of here.She ran until she hit a desert with a castle in the middle. She sat there to take a rest."I'm not fighting your war for you."

A young fifteen-year-old girl sat on the grown her silver eyes looking around. She blinked. "Uh...Jaune? Nora? Ren?" She looked around confused. "Anyone?" She frowned . "Man, what happen my heads killing me."

 

She stood up brushing herself off as she took a look around. "Well, this totally isn't Haven." Heck, it looked like one of those places in those fairy tales yang read her. She shifted the weight on her waist. "My sweet heart's still with me." That was good she walked around in the town, however, the sounds of fighting caught her ears as she used her semblance to speedily get over to the fighting that meant people.

 

People that most likely needed some help. Something she was more than willing to provide despite her age and look she wasn't just some little girl she was a Huntress (Well Huntress in Training...But that's not important!) 

 

-Note she is heading towards where Johnny and Terra are-

 

As Ruby entered the scene she saw three people fighting. One a rather interesting looking man the white hair to be specific if it wasn't for the skin tone and eye color she'd presume it was some lost long brother of Weiss. She took her scythe out speeding in as she swung it down to parry the slash of the Keyblade. It was rather powerful as she shot out a blast from the scythe to repel herself backward. Getting a good look at the weapon she did feel the need to say something. "That's a pretty cool weapon what's it do?" She said as her Scythe was planted firmly into the ground. A small grin on her face as her silver eyes observed the three. The girl was pretty short and the Scythe she used was a good two times her size. She couldn't look much older than Fifteen.

Both Aqua and Xion dodging while Aqua used thundaga spell at Vanitas. She used reflect spell on Corrin to protect him. Xion slash his left arm. "This is for my friends!" She said while dodging.

 

Terra screamed in pain as Xehanort made a slash on his shoulder. He begins to bleed and cure himself with Curaga. After that, a girl dressed in red and black approach to the battle. "miss, you need to hide! He's too dangerous for you!" He shouted at her. Worry that Xehanort will kill her.

~Johnny and Xehanort, Lufenia~

 

Johnny looked at the girl who had just entered the fray, carrying a massive scythe, before addressing Terra, "Honestly, I don't think we need to worry much about her. We need to focus more on ourselves here."

Excalibur shifted into axe-mode, and Johnny made a sweeping attack, using the weight of the end of the axe to carry the swing.

Xehanort blocked the first swing, but suffered the second hit. Xehanort was knocked over, and tried to get up using his Keyblade.

"Impressive," Xehanort muttered, regaining his composure. "But it will take more than clever weaponry to defeat me."

 

~Vanitas, Corrin, and Elia, the White Mage, Lufenia~

 

"Shut up!" Vanitas shouted at Ven, slashing the Firaga, but unable to block Thundaga. The shock sent through him stunned him slightly and forcing him to take the blow to his left arm.

Corrin launched a small assault on Vanitas, using techniques from his training in Nohr to avoid an attack by Vanitas while landing a hit on his chest.

Vanitas was thrown back again, but now decided to aim his next attack at the mage who threw light at him.

Vanitas disappeared into the ground before reappearing behind Elia, grabbing her and ascending into the air.

"Let's see what you can do without that little toy," Vanitas said, before throwing her staff and hammer to the ground.

Elia could only hope that she could get lucky with whatever happens next.

Ruby brought back her scythe as she seemingly moved at a very fast speed leaving Rose petals where she stood behind as she found herself in front of Xehanort straight as he got back up and she did a spinning attack with her Scythe firing it to give her more momentum and power to her spinning strike. After the strike, she did prepare herself to get ready to move out of the way in case of a counter attack.

~Serena~"Oh no... She's in trouble." Serena started to panicked and tries to think of something to save Elia, then she looks at the bow that Link give her. She picked it up and prepare to shoot at Vanitas. The arrow transform into a golden Majestic version of arrow. "Light Arrow." She whispered while she released it and shoot Vanitas. It was a lucky shot, especially this is the first time for Serena. *giggles* "we did it. -whaa!" She screamed as she fall down. "Uh oh... I think he saw me..." She close her eyes and weeping.

--Caius and Schala -- Lufenia --

 

It really impressed--no, annoyed--Caius at how high and accurate Mog could jump.  He unleashed his megaflare, only for it to miss all of his targets, and already Magus and Mog were preparing to strike at him.  The blue-haired mage cast a powerful spell, which barely evaded his wing and hit his scaly back.  The scales protected him from the majority of the heat, though if it had stricken his wing he would've been done for.  The dragon was then consumed by Flare that Mog had unleashed, its fury raining down hot upon the dragon.  It let out a cry as it struck his neck and underside, causing him to clumsily retreat to the ground.

 

Flames danced around Chaos Bahamut, his nostril's flaring as he attempted to get the fire to cease.  In his mad attempt to free himself of the flames he'd released Schala before he fell, though thankfully she had only fallen a few feet above the ground before he had landed.  Flare had managed to hit Caius' underside and thus Schala, though thankfully the damage was minimal.  Her skirt was scorched as well as her right leg, and in a few moments she winced in pain as she slowly came to.  Her eyes slowly opened to the scene before she sat up, wincing at her leg.  In the meantime Caius had no choice but to return to his human form, his eyes glowing dangerously for a moment before he seemed simply as the man he was before.  His clothing was tattered and there was a noticeable burn upon his cheek, though no other damage could be determined.

 

"You are quite devoted to your sister if you're willing to fight so dearly for her," he said, voice deep.  "You are a skilled mage, that is for certain.  It is a pity that you have sided with the traitorous folk, as we could have offered you much in joining hands with Chaos."

~Magus and Mog- Lufenia, vs Caius

 

Although she was a bit injured, Magus' sister was safe, and Magus was happy that Caius reverted to his human form. His sister now had a chance to escape, as long as he can keep Caius occupied. Of course, challenging him in a close combat would be a bad idea, since while he is skilled with his scythe, Caius is an expert warrior, and Magus is more focused as a mage. However, he had another spellcaster with him, which gave Magus an idea.

Mog noticed Schala was a bit injured and cast cure on her.

"Thank you...what is your name?"

"The name is Mog, kuupo!"

"I see... mind doing another fire-type spell? I have an idea.."

 

Magus then replied to Caius: "Of course...but why do you fight? Do you really intend to be Chaos' plaything? And if what you could have offered me is enslaving and imprisoning my sister, in addition to ordering me to do things against my will, the choice of betrayal becomes a pretty easy one. "

 

After hearing Caius' answer, Magus cast Ice II, and immediately afterwards, Mog listened to Magus and cast firaga.  The result was Antipode Bomb II, a powerful spell that can be cast by 2 mages together.

A slight smirk crossed Caius' face, his shoulders sagging slightly.  "Indeed.  It is only natural for a brother to love his sister, and be willing to do anything to protect her.  When you love someone you would be willing to do almost anything, even if it means bending a few rules and doing unthinkable things."

 

The dark guardian clutched the handle of his sword before slowly withdrawing it in front of him.  "You have asked me why I fight, and I fight for the same reason.  There is someone that I love dearly and would do anything for, even if it means bending a few rules and die trying.  That, my blue-haired friend, is why I fight, and while I admire your skill and determination I'm afraid that my will is too strong to be swayed.  I will save the one I care for, regardless of your efforts."

 

It was then that Mog and Magus combined their forces and attacked, sending Caius in the air.  He didn't have much warning of their advance, nor did he have much of an ability to guard himself.  He'd extended his sword in front of him to act as a shield, but still much of their combined magical force struck him full on.  He wore heavy armor, which is probably the only thing that had saved his life.  He landed on his feet a few yards away, his eyes flashing dangerously as he eyed the man and his Moogle.  His breath was rattled, his shoulder seared with pain, and blood trickled from a jagged cut on his cheek, but he was determined: he would not lose this fight.

 

He threw his sword into the ground, and a green tinted light surrounded him.  He used an ability called Heart and Soul, which buffs abilities and restores a portion of his health.  While his injuries were not fully healed and his shoulder still pained him immensely, it would have to suffice for the time being so that he could proceed with this fight.  Upon removing his sword he cast Thunderstorma, a ravaging lightning attack that struck in small bolts toward Mog and Magus.  This was Caius' last ditch effort.  If he was going to keep his promise to his loved one he would have to win.  Otherwise he would die trying.

--Noel -- Lifespring Grotto--

A strange look crossed Noel's face as he eyed the sleeping Lisa.  "Yeah, the poor kid is probably traumatized, what with everything she's witnessed recently."  He was slightly bitter about it, but he knew Elsa could hardly help it.  "I just wish we could get the two of you home.  We're at war.  Battles like the one you saw today are a common occurrence, and more people are dying by the day. You are a strong fighter, I won't deny that, but I"--Noel shook his head, turning his face away--"can't stop worry about you, Elsa.  I'm sorry if I have seemed so protective.  It's just . . . .  I've watched a lot of people die in my life.  In my world I was the only one left.  I'm just thinking about your family.  They can't afford to lose either one of you, and I can't promise that I can always protect you, not with everything going on."

 

It was the bitter truth: he feared failing.  He'd failed countless others and watched them die before his very eyes.  He could not bear the thought of permitting either Elsa or Lisa dying during this battle, especially if he survived.  The brunet's gaze lifted to their surroundings.  They seemed to be in a cave of sorts, its darkness heavily looming in.  There was light at a mouth of the cave not too far from where they stood, which shed light upon the trio where they stood.  "Truth is I haven't the slightest idea where we are, but I don't think we have much to fear.  It's quiet and secluded, which would be a great place to rest.  I don't know about you, but I'm a bit tuckered out from the events of today."

(Johnny, quick question: I read that mermaids dwell within the Lifespring Grotto and it is a place where human and merfolk could be together.  Would it be permissible to have Noel and Elsa communicate with a merfolk community, or would it be best to abstain from this?)

-Elsa/Levana and Lisa, Lifespring Grotto-

 

"I see... It was a good thing you came to be my guardian. Thank you for that. I mean it." She said, smiling softly at him. Then she heard Lisa whine a bit, probably from having a nightmare of the battlefield she witnessed. "Shhhhh, it's okay. You're not going to get hurt, my child. Not on my watch..." Levana said, and started to pat her daughter's back to help her sleep a little better. When Noel said that he was worried about her family as well, she thought, I hope my family hasn't given up on looking for me. They're probably even more worried now since i'm nowhere in my world..., then she decided to get up from the ground so she wouldn't get more wet. Lisa kept whimpering, the nightmare still haunting her sleep. "M-Mama..." she said quietly, the tears falling down her cheeks. Levana rocked her and started singing a lullaby that always helped to calm her down whenever she had a nightmare or when she was scared.

(This is the lullaby. Elsa has a wonderful voice, by the way. So maybe the mermaids will be enchanted by her voice resonating out.)

Ruby brought back her scythe as she seemingly moved at a very fast speed leaving Rose petals where she stood behind as she found herself in front of Xehanort straight as he got back up and she did a spinning attack with her Scythe firing it to give her more momentum and power to her spinning strike. After the strike, she did prepare herself to get ready to move out of the way in case of a counter attack.

~Serena~"Oh no... She's in trouble." Serena started to panicked and tries to think of something to save Elia, then she looks at the bow that Link give her. She picked it up and prepare to shoot at Vanitas. The arrow transform into a golden Majestic version of arrow. "Light Arrow." She whispered while she released it and shoot Vanitas. It was a lucky shot, especially this is the first time for Serena. *giggles* "we did it. -whaa!" She screamed as she fall down. "Uh oh... I think he saw me..." She close her eyes and weeping.

~Vanitas, Xehanort, Johnny and Corrin, Lufenia~Vanitas was hit on his right arm, letting go of both his Keyblade and his hostage.Xehanort was thrown back by the attack of girl in red and tried to regain his composure before Vanitas landed nearby him."Master, there's two many of them," Vanitas said, gripping his right shoulder. "What do we do?""Simple," Xehanort said, standing up again. "We work together. Unleash your darkness with mine.""Gotcha," Vanitas said, the orb of darkness covering him once more. The mage now without her staff could not recover in time to stop this attack.The orb began to spit out Vanitas duplicates, each one heading for a different warrior. At the same time, Xehanort channeled his darkness into Vanitas' orb.Johnny blocked the duplicate that went after him, but began to feel the effects of the darkness on him. He felt an invisible weight growing on his shoulders. Hopefully he could hold on.Corrin saw the duplicate heading for Elia and quickly ran to intercept it, blocking one with the Yato and stabbing the one going after him with his transformed arm.

Ruby brought back her scythe behind her firing it as she spun with the scythe's blade mowing down the Vanitas Duplicate. Of course, she feared the worst right now feeling that Darkness weigh on her it was only thanks to her Aura that she could actually still fight and move around without being slowed. "Anyone got any well 'bright' ideas heh heh...Oh, come on just trying to 'lighten' the mood." She said winking. A reminder that she needed a vacation from Yang for awhile those were terrible puns but she was trying to subtly convey a message.

It protect them from the force. They were able to move around freely. Aqua used Firaga on Vanitas Duplicate to save Johnny. Xion tries to fight the Duplicates, however she's struggling to move around, But Terra help her and stand next to her. Meanwhile, Ventus help Elia and Corrin, and transform into the Wingblade mode again. He turned around and said. "are you two alright?"Serena get up and She tries her best to defend herself from them. It brought a smile to Noel's face to see that Elsa seemed to genuinely appreciate his help.  The woman then began soothing her child, though she seemed to be deep in thought.  The brunet placed a hand gently upon her shoulder, eyeing her seriously.  "I promise that we'll get you and Lisa home safely.  I'm sorry that you've gotten mixed into all of this, but I assure you that we'll find a way.  I'll do what I must to ensure this."

 

It didn't seem like too much to offer, though truthfully he had no idea how they were ever going to get Elsa home.  Heck, he didn't even know where they were presently.  The hunter crossed his arms and glanced around the scene.  "For starters, though, let's head to the mouth of the cave.  I think I hear rushing water.  Hopefully it's fresh so that we can have something to drink."  He'd also hoped that they may be able to find some sort of life, whether it be animal or human, and potentially find their way to a village that could aid them.  Most of all, he hoped to visit Cosmos once more.  She was likely the one that had summoned Elsa to begin with; she was probably the one that could send her back and set things right.

-Elsa and Lisa, Lifespring Grotto-She smiled and changed back to her normal form, soothing her down a bit. She snapped out from her singing to hear Noel talking about finding some help for them. She said, "Yeah. Let's go and see if we can find someone to help us." And waited for Noel to go first, letting him lead the way since she might get lost.
