No NX at E3, Launching March 2017, Along With New Zelda

Recommended Posts

An other delay for Zelda Wii U? Are those rumors or is this comfirmed by Nintendo? If its true then, unless I'm mistaken this will be the longest development cycle for a Zelda game, even longer then Ocarina of time and Skyward Sword so its better be the best Zelda game.

I've heard the game is getting delayed again because they want it to be release alongside the NX, not because they game needs to be worked on more, so in other words, we're probably  waiting one more year for zelda u for zelda u for nothing. I might be wrong though

Me when I woke up and read the news:

We all saw Zelda U coming, but till next year? Then no NX news at e3? My goodness Nintendo hasn't learned jack shit from their previous mistakes.

FYI e3 for Nintendo will be mostly trying to milk what's left off the Wii U (If there's any left) with games such as Paper Mario Sticker Star 2.0.

Well at least there's Pokemon SN to look forward to...

No, noooooo, Noooooooooooo, NO!!!!!! God damn it Nintendo, don't do this again with Zelda! I just wanted at least one exclusive game for the Wii U, and now I got to wait another year just to choose between two consoles again!

So what, is this what they meant when they said that we'll want to play Twilight Princess again, because it originally came out on TWO DIFFERENT CONSOLES!? I loved that game and I am excited to hear that it's supposed to feel reminiscent to TP in some way, but for the love of Pete Nintendo, you didn't have to take it THAT FAR!

Screw it, I'm still getting this thing for Wii U when it comes out. It's what it was meant for, and the NX will likely cost a whole lot more on release anyway so it will be probably until 2018 when I can get my hands on it. It's just occurring to me that given the similar circumstances, many fans must have had similar sentiments with Twilight Princess when it originally came out, as I don't recall there ever being a GameCube exclusive Zelda game before then (unless Wind Waker came out before that...). So I guess one way or another I am ironically mirroring that same sentiment, and yet it was the Wii version that I ended up going after and preferring in the end. So maybe my stance will change after I've had time to cool down from this sudden news. But I still intend on getting this game for Wii U. First anyway. After eventually getting an NX, this will likely be the first of the few games I'll get for it.

Till then, I'm just going to support the poor Wii U till it's last days, the system isn't as bad as most people tend to make it out to be, I just always felt like it came out a few years too late for it's own good. I mean, I'm still excited for the NX, but I was at least hoping for the Wii U to have one more exclusive display of awesomeness akin to that tech demo we saw all those years ago before it eventually gets overshadowed by it's successor.

So no Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon news at all this year and those games are just going to come out with no footage available to see if a person wants to buy them? That makes me feel betrayed and makes me not want to support Nintendo anymore!

So basically, I am just looking forward to Kingdom Hearts 2.8 now! :(

Holy crap, people are blowing this way out of proportion. I'm still catching up on the news, but it wasn't said that they'll only talk about Zelda U. Just that they'd focus on it, like how they focused on Smash in 2014. They'll have other games to show too. There's a lot more to talk about than just the NX, people. :/

of course they won't only talk about zelda u when there's obviously other wii u and 3ds games they haven't officially announced as of yet

Well if their only going to have zelda u playable at the floor that kind of means that like 80% of whatever their doing is going to be that or it could just be like what they did last year for e3 which was just a smash direct but only for zelda u this time. I honestly don't think nintendo is going to have anything really good this year unless your a pokemon fan. :/

I'm very disappointed that Zelda will be the only playable game at E3 from Nintendo. That and they seem to be pretty much saying that their entire event is going to be Zelda focused. I'm not a Zelda player, but I am a Nintendo fan. Does that mean I get no announcements that appeal to me?

NX skipping E3 (for I assume a Direct later on), is kind of ridiculous. It means that we cannot see any games that are in the pipeline for the system.

I dunno. Nintendo really don't have a clue what they are doing I think.

I'm extremely on the fence about Fire Emblem on mobile too. Animal Crossing however, is a money maker for them.

You do realize that possible wii u titles like Okami for the wii u could be announced at e3 right? Also they did, in fact announce some okay 3ds titles and some wii u titles if I remember correctly http://e3.nintendo.com/games/ There's no denying that there isn't going to be any kind of game announcements

The only thing I'm disappointed at is that they are not even gonna talk about the NX at E3 this year, sure they could and most likely will have a Nintendo Direct about it some time later this year to show off more games that will come out for it.  I also have to say now that it's coming out in March I might actually pick up a NX, I didn't get a WiiU, (Not that many games interested me and the ones that did still didn't warrant in my opinion a reason to get one) but if they show off some more games that come to the NX and come with a bundle version with the new Zelda game then sure I might get it.  Again the only thing that I'm really mad about is that they are not gonna talk about it at E3

Namco is pretty much done with making games so that's not going to happen unless it's by another developer and Nintendo is killing the wii u even if they say their're not. I wouldn't get my hopes up too high for the 3ds stuff this year.

You can't say that for sure though because of this: http://www.gamnesia.com/news/hideki-kamiya-apparently-wants-capcom-to-make-okami-2-on-the-wii-u This makes Okami for the wii u a possibility.

but he's the director of the original Okami; therefore, it's still possible for it to happen.

wait what, is Okami made by Namco or Konami?

I don't want to trust Nintendo anymore. They keep making games and consoles and want them to sell a lot of units, yet they keep giving reasons as to why we should do the opposite. This screams "We don't care about the Wii U anymore" and, like I said earlier, it pisses me off. Zelda was one of the reasons why many bought a Wii U, and you're giving them the middle finger by delaying it AGAIN and porting it to another console, not to mention it being the only playable game at E3 and ignoring a chance to show off this new tech you want everyone to buy.

Oh, not to mention that for the rest of the year we'll get nothing but Indies and Sticker Star 2, while 3DS owners get Metroid, Pokemon and other great games. Wii U always had the short end of the stick in Directs and presentations, never selling more units, never getting the support it deserved. This is the last straw. At this point I don't care about what they announce at E3, It will be crap either way. Mobile news are okay, Animal Crossing could be good, though I fail to see how FE would work on IOS.It's as if Nintendo suddenly got worse after Smash Bros came out

You might call me salty or butthurt, but I'm not buying the NX. I'm not supporting a console that I don't know anything about and is painted to be this messiah, end-all be-all amazing console by conflicting and contradicting rumors, I stopped falling into the hype. If the NX turns out to be a success, then I'll hate Nintendo even more. Enjoy it if you want to, but I'm sticking with my Wii U.

I'M DONE.

If it's made by Namco then it has a chance but Konami is done with games, they said this last year: http://www.cinemablend.com/games/Konami-Stop-Making-Console-Games-Report-Says-86487.html

Oh wow, so Zelda's gonna be delayed this year in order for it to launch with the NX?  I don't know what to think about this, mainly because I don't own the Wii U, and I haven't been following the latest Zelda's development.

But I think I can safely say that Zelda fans everywhere must feel pretty disappointed that they'll have to wait another year for the new Zelda game.  I'm truly sorry for all of you that feel this way!  But there are others who probably won't mind waiting till next year, but yeah, it looks like Nintendo made a wrong move, considering all the fan backlash this is getting!

Looks like things are about to get interesting! :O
