Anyone else grown out of Kingdom Hearts?

I don't think it's that good anymore, the only replayable games were KH1 and KH2. The series has went downhill since KH2 imo. I honestly feel like I was forcing myself to love a few of the games like DDD and BBS.

 

I prefer Final Fantasy now, it's more complex, dark and enjoyable than most KH games. FF10>Every KH game besides KH1.

 

I just don't really care about kingdom hearts anymore, plus some of the fan base are annoying elitists who I don't want to converse with due to that. There's literally nothing to discuss anymore and I don't fancy making a mountain of a molehill like a lot of people do when it comes to speculation. Everything has already been talked about and seeing the same threads all the time is irritating, as is contributing to them.

I probably haven't grown out of it. I've had fun with all the games, and with replaying some of them. While I don't see myself replaying re:CoM or finishing DDD CMLV1 or anything like that in the foreseeable future, I don't think I'd find them less enjoyable if I replayed them (except for maybe CoM when you have to get back into the groove of things but after that it's fine).

A lot of people seem to say "Oh 2/FM is good the rest are crap", and yeah, games like BBS and DDD had balancing issues and plot complications, and 2/FM is better in comparison, but at least for me, I still liked the other games. While the thought of fighting MF or No Heart in Critical is kinda terrifying, and I tend to somewhat complain about having to replay BBS for the Critical trophy, the truth is I'm probably not going to not have fun (especially since I don't have to worry about 100%ing), at least until I get to some certain bosses, perhaps.

Maybe I'm just one of those ignorant guys, but whatever I'd rather not grow out of it just yet.

I grew out of it, the long wait made me think and I ended up not liking KH too much (except for KH1, CoM, KH2 and Days, those I still like an awful lot, but not as much as many other games like FF and Golden Sun). There's quite a few of us, especialy after 2.8 got announced; me, DemyxIsBest and Smash Mega Koopa are the only members I can think of at the moment, but there's porbably more than just us 3.

I haven't grown out of it but I have realized how much I've not been enjoying the past few games and I feel like It's been a chore having to play some entries i don't like or watch hours of the remix cutscenes to make sure I understand the lore but I think I'll get over everything once 3 comes out and I hope at that point we will never see a handheld/mobile Kingdom Hearts game again because they just don't work.

I haven't been getting myself into Pokemon all that much lately. That doesn't mean to say that I've outgrown it, I just found more interesting things to occupy me for the time being. The same can be said about the Kingdom Hearts. Sure, there may be quiet moments or moments where I lack interest: doesn't mean I've outgrown it.

Yep, me too, although I am rarely on the KH forums. I don't like the osaka team, at all.

I do like 1, Com/Recom and 2, but that's it. Doubt I'll like 3, either.

I still love it but I agree that there hasn't been anything worth discussing in a while. Speculating on who the 13 Darknesses and 7 Lights are was fun but nothing else since has been worthwhile to talk about. I'm enjoying Unchained X, though, but nothing about it's story is worth discussing with peeps. 

 

I also disagree that Final Fantasy is more dark, fun, and complex. The FFXIII series was laughable (apart from XIII-2 which was actually decent with a compelling villain). Some of the old games are alright but the gameplay isn't as good as KH, so it's not more fun imo.

Hell to the naw! I will never outgrow Kingdom Hearts because the story is still intriguing and I love and care about the characters so much that I want to keep playing to see what's going to happen to them. I like every Kingdom Hearts game and even though each game has their own flaws but I still love the story. And the series hasn't went downhill after Kingdom Hearts 2 for me, the series keeps getting better and better. And I will continue on loving this series for a long time.

I can never outgrow kh! Its my life blood. Sure entries like days and coded were less enjoyable but to outgrow it because of thatbno way. I loved both bbs and ddd hell im one of the few that likes com. I see no harm done with the osaka team. The series just keeps getting better with each game bar coded.

I think the reason you think that is because, well, as much as the games after KH2 aren't "side games", they still didn't have the same budget nor attention that the numbered games had. I mean you could still technically replay BBS, but is there really a point? You have 3 different characters, it feels kinda disconnected unlike the numbered games. 

 

Maybe KH3 will give you back that feeling? It's gonna be a full fledged RPG with probably quite a bit of replayability considering its budget.

 

But in any case, I probably won't outgrow it as long as I'm a gamer. It's a big part of my childhood so I'm always gonna be a fan. And I really don't see myself stop being a gamer anytime in the next 2 decades.

No, not really. I discovered Kingdom Hearts last year, and now. it's still holding me dearly (beloved). I don't think I'll let go anytime soon (hopefully way after KH3).

Grown out of it...hmmm....nah. I'll always enjoy the series, no matter what. Some of the KH games are better than other KH titles and I won't like play the games 24/7. I have these dry runs where I grow disinterested with Kingdom Hearts for a while and get hooked on something else whether it be a show, an anime, manga or video game. At the moment Im working on Dark Souls 3...yet I always get pulled back to KH. Unchained Chi reawakened my love for the series.

Simple, we're still here cos of all our friends on the site. I feel like I was a lot more into it when I was younger, and I'm excited for KH3, but at the same time it's very subdued. As in, I want to play the game, but I don't mind /care about this massive wait. Of course if there's some interesting theory then I love to sink my teeth into it. But otherwise, it's just not as present in my life as it once was

Nah, when you've been playing something since you were three years old, it kind of sticks with you. I've always adored the game, and during the quiet time after DDD my love for it reawakened when I got my friend in to it. I got to relive playing all of the games for the first time with her. It was fun   So I doubt I'll ever grow out of it.

Nope! Not yet at least, I probably will eventually but now I'm enjoying while it lasts ^-^. Maybe when KH3 is out after that I'll slowly out grow it but for now, like I said I'm enjoying every game of the Kingdom Hearts series except for Chain of Memories
