How's everyone doing!?  Kingdom Hearts III has us all excited right? But with that excitement comes some MASSIVE concern...and that is what I call the Fear of Kingdom Hearts III, I've decided to put together a video on it! Also I have a segment featuring some of your answers that I've asked in a prior post about this thought Check it out!

Okay, it's a nice video, but more worrying? Tell me, has Nomura and SQEX in general ever really disappointed you when it came to Kingdom Hearts? If the a was is no, then you shouldn't worry now about KH3. In fact, you don't exactly have a right to do so if you have been perfectly satisfied up to today. Why don't we all stop worrying about KH3 and how it will turn out? Let's have faith it will be perfect.

Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance are not side-games, they're main games because the storyline in Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance are par with the numbered titles.

While their story content is canon to the storyline and both have their beloved characters, awesome moments and great boss fights (And bullshit ones), they are side-games. Made purely to add more story and experiment with certain ways of playing. Dream Drop Distance is arguably less so, like Chain of Memories, as it was a direct sequel to the last KH Game, Re: Coded, which was...balls, but thankfully DDD was gooooooood.

However, the contribution to the overall plot that BBS, DDD and Re:Coded gave are, frankly, not nearly as major as the other games. KH1 being the one that set the premise and had the first adventure, along with being the beginning of Xehanort's Plot using his two halves. Re:CoM being what happened inbetween KH1 and KH2, with 358/2 Days explaining what Roxas was doing before KH2, KH2 being the next adventure and shit and soon enough, KH3 will be the conclusion to the Xehanort Saga.

To be fair however, DDD was Sora and Riku's Mark of Mastery Exam and something to show, strengthen and emphasize their strong bond, plus it revealed Xehanort's next stage.

However, Birth By Sleep existed to give us an excuse to hate Xehanort more: That being he caused the suffering of the game's Trio and Master Xehanort's motivation being partly curiosity. It gave us a good villain, plus a Tragic Villain known as Vanitas (Read the Novel, it's quite enlightening.) but really, would you call it on par with the likes of KH2? It gets close, DDD gets closer, but neither get their cigar. And just, forget Re: Coded. And Days in many regards.

And before you say it, The Keyblade War may have been mentioned in BBS, but even Chi, Unchained and Back Cover (I know it's not released yet, but come on, it's going to say a lot.) have more on the events prior to it and during said war. And certainly add more to the Lore of KH than BBS could dream of.

Just to top it all off; these side-games originally released on numerous Handheld Platforms. Thereby scattering the KH Games across a large area and spreading itself thin. The HD ReMIXes fix this, of course, but bloody hell, they turned 358/2 Days and Re: Coded into boring Movies. Anyway, that's my piece on the matter.

Because the Triple A Gaming Industry has thrown away all of the trust it ever earned in recent years, Trailer's either lie or get people overhyped and we're just paranoid, for very good reason.

Plus, this is the company that made FFVII Remake Episodic. Also, the new Hitman Game. Also, Lightning Returns. Also, FFXIV. Also, 358/2 Days. Also, Re: Coded. Also, the overly convoluted plot of Kingdom Hearts that while good, is so hard to wrap your head around it's almost not worth it. Almost. Also, they announced KH3 too early.

Okay, I'll stop. But really, Square Enix is far from perfect, but they are also far from the worst company around. That would be Ubisoft. And I suggest if we keep our expectations reasonable, NEVER get hyped (Seriously, Hype Culture has been known to outright ruin movies for people.) and be ready for any possible outcome, everything will be bloody topsy-tippers.

And a nitpick, but KH3 won't be perfect. There is no perfect.

Yes, they have disappointed me many times. They have disappointed me with Birth by Sleep, 358/2 Days, and Dream Drop Distance. Yes, I like those games, but that does not make them any less disappointing. Why should be blindly have faith that it will be perfect? That will just lead us to be disappointed if it's not perfect. First of all though, it will not be perfect. It will in no way be perfect. Kingdom Hearts 3 has what I like to call "Half Life 3 Syndrome". That means that no matter what, it is impossible for them to make the perfect game that fans want. Yes, they can make a really amazing game, but they definitely can not make a perfect one.

Stop blindly believing in Square Enix and the Osaka Team. If you do that, then you will be disappointed if you end up not liking the game. Plus, if Square Enix sees that people are just blindly enjoying their games, then that gives them the ability to make shit games that people will enjoy no matter what.

That's cool. If that's how you see it than I respect your opinion. But for me both Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance are main games because they way the story was presented, and to me in my opinion is on par with Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2. And putting these games on handheld systems does not mean they're side-games, what makes a main game is the story and main villain, in my opinion Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance add more to the main story of Kingdom Hearts than Chain of Memories, 358/2 Days, and Re:Coded. But CoM, Days, and Coded each play pivotal roles to other characters and what events happen in between the main games, and I do recommend people to play those to completely understand the entire Kingdom Hearts series. Birth by Sleep introduce the first saga's main villain, Master Xehanort, and introduce his motivation and goals. He sets ups pretty much all the events thats happen in the current Kingdom Hearts series and if it wasn't him than Ansem SoD and Xemnas would never existed. Dream Drop Distance continued on where KH2 and Re:Coded left off and it was setting up the events for Kingdom Hearts 3, along with Sora and Riku taking the Mark of Mastery Exam to be strong enough to counterattack Master Xehanort's return, and reveal more about Master Xehanort and the Organization 13.

Excuse me, but I believe in them. Yes, no game is perfect and there are people who are not happy no matter what you throw at them. That means people make standards that are impossible and unrealistic to live up too. If anyone is to be at fault for disappointment, it's us because we have set standards too high and therefore there will be more people that won't be happy no matter what you throw at them. In all honesty, your attitude toward Square is classic of fans who hate it when they don't get what they want or have it meet their standards and trash Square for it, but when you do get what you want and your standards are met, you praise Square. That's a poor fan and selfish support of Square. I support them and believe in the Osaka team consistently from beginning to end. I don't think about my standards for them and think that a title must meet my standards or it's a bad game. It isn't about your standards, it's about the whole fan base. They try to please as many people as possible, not the standards of one person. If you don't like the title they make, then that's your opinion and on you. Doesn't make it a bad game unless it is unplayable in other ways in functions, but that's unrelated. Sorry, but Square and the Osaka team do not answer to just one person, they answer to every fan out there.

Sorry, but the whole "if you don't like it, then don't play it" argument absolutely does not work for a situation like this. I have liked every single Kingdom Hearts game that Square Enix have put out so far. Some, I like more than others, and some I like less than others. The reason why I am so hard on Square Enix and the Osaka Team is because I'm passionate and I care. The reason why I am so hard on Square Enix and the Osaka Team is because I want them to do well. The reason why I critique what they do and the reason why I'm skeptical is because I want this game to be great. Being blindly accepting and blindly supporting every action that someone or a company does is in no way a good thing. People need constructive criticism to be able to change and grow. Being fanatical and uncompromising toward every single action that Square Enix and the Osaka Team pursue on KH3 can lead to them not knowing what people want.

Yes, from seeing the past couple trailers, the Osaka Team have somewhat proven themselves. They have shown to be capable of adapting to what people want. They have shown that they are somewhat capable of imitating the Tokyo Team's style of gameplay. The Osaka Team have improved so much and are still improving, and I'm very proud of them for this. Seeing the past couple KH3 trailers gets me excited because it shows that the Osaka Team are listening to the fans' complaints and it shows that they are trying. Of course I don't want them to completely imitate the gameplay of KH2, that's just an absurd thing to expect from them. Like I said though, blindly trusting in them and blindly eating up whatever Square Enix throws out could have easily resulted in them never even attempting to change how they make KH gameplay. I am so extremely glad that there has been an outrage and an uproar towards the Osaka Team. I am so extremely glad that the fans like you who just constantly fanboy over a company no matter what they do are so minimal. If you weren't so minimal, then we most likely would've gotten a half-assed KH3, just like how half-assed the HD collections were.

Anyways, I digress. You can continue uncritically and mindlessly liking and accepting every move Square Enix makes, I don't really care. I'm gonna continue critiquing when Square Enix makes a bad move and loving when they make a good one. Have a good day.

Well you get credit for being so passionate. I will take a different path on how to do so. Best of luck on your path.
