Neo_Mametchi 0 Posted April 14, 2016 I see on quest and special quest it shows the enemy level is this like a reccomended level you should be? I'm around level 20 and haven't tried the middle special quest that usally says enemy Lv.30. Not sure how to tell if I'm strong enough before selecting one since you don't get stronger from leveling your level. Also are the Avatar Boards that cost gems to unlock worth it? Is there a list or pics of what the nodes are and what they cost?
Trece the Xam ( ▀ ͜͞ʖ▀) 3,859 Posted April 14, 2016 I thought it did mean something, but today I checked this the following way: I equipped myself with ceirtan medals and a ceirtan keyblade, and checked my total power. I also assured that I would level up in the next quest. Indeed, I leveled up, and I didn't level up my medals or even change them, so if the level did make me stronger, my total power would have increased. Well no, it was exactly the same. To make it short, leveling up is only to refil your AP. 1 venxas24 reacted to this
Neo_Mametchi 0 Posted April 14, 2016 So the only way to tell if your not strong enough for a special quest or event quest is to try it?

You can guide yourself by the level since the higher level you have, the more hours you've put in. But to be honest, I did complete a level 25 quest at level 9, so you can always try , but you may fail, since I've failed a level 35 quest at level
Takuya 49 Posted April 14, 2016 Levels mean you just have alot of total lux. They aren't indicative of your actual power level, nor the enemies' power level.I'm almost level 200, and enemies hp hog level 88 enemies take medal spamming to knock out in 1 turn. Your power is determined by what medals you have, their star level and level, your keyblade bonuses, and your medal upgrades. Level is just "look at all the lux i have!", with some bonus avatar coins ad AP refresh to keep you playing.
Rowbe 48 Posted April 14, 2016 I'm level 93 and still can't "One-turn triumph" certain enemies simply because my medals need upgraded. Totally depends on your medals and how you've upgraded them and your keyblades, as Trece said Also, I purchased one of the outfits with jewels. I got the female Sora outfit, and there were, in this order, four Keyblade cost capacity increase nodes, three for the actual outfit, five that unlock a Cid medal, two for a Chip medal, two for a Dale medal, and one for a Moogle medal. I don't recall exactly what each node cost, if I remember correctly all of the nodes after you actually get the outfit were one point 1 Trece the Xam ( ▀ ͜͞ʖ▀) reacted to this

The outfit pieces themselves cost 2 avatar coins. Personally, I'd hoard jewels and spend them on medals until you get some good ones. Once you get those good medals to 6*, then you'll want the jewel boards for their easy Cid medals.
Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted April 14, 2016 To me it's a symbol of pride, so yes in a way it really does mean something. X3
kybldmstr94 55 Posted April 14, 2016 The leveling system is done through the avatar board. It let's you decide how you level up, sort of like chain of memories. When you level up you receive more avatar points that you can spend on whatever you like

There's 2 different AP, Ability Points and Avatar Points. I've just said how you get Avatar Points, and Ability Points are regained over time and are completely restored when leveling up. You actually get more total Avatar Coins via level up than you do via quest objectives (since quests cap out at 200 atm). You get a max of 10 coins per quest, whereas in the later levels, you get rewarded up to 30.

OmegaForte 1,674 Posted April 14, 2016 Pretty much much what everyone said. I can't do much lving due to those reasons because I have no more medals to lv up.(You can thank the cash shop for giving me the same shitty medals.)

I guarantee that you do, at least from some level on wards. I was getting 30 coins per level around level 180-200 or so. That's where most of my Avatar coins came from, since I'm almost fully drained the coins from quests dry.

Emuemuman 16 Posted April 15, 2016 Level indicates the difficulty of the quest and how powerful the enemies are, it doesn't really correlate to your level at all. A level 200 quest is significantly more difficult than a level 100 quest for example. The most difficult dungeons to date in JP are lvl 280 and those are almost impossible except for the strongest of players.
