I think it should probably be a given that superseded images, talk page redirects, and all post-move redirects that are not official names (ex. JP translations) should be deleted on sight.We could definitely have a page for it, but at this stage of the game I will be filling that thing up with about 100 revisions a day, so it might be easier to simply keep an eye on the "articles to be deleted" cat and use good judgment.I'd also like to nominate TSH or SoT as admins, if they are open to it and I'm allowed to do that. They both have a ton of experience and are eminently reliable, no-nonsense editors who will serve y'all well. Shard's image work will also be heavily reliant on being able to move/delete images without leaving unneeded links behind.

I think we should keep the literal Japanese translations as redirects, for people who play the Japanese version of the game.

I agree, we should have a list of types of things that can be deleted on sight, and then for more contentious things we should have proper processes. If it's unanimous that those things should be deleted on sight then I support it. Personally I don't mind about redirects for unofficial names for things to their proper names, as it helps out informed people that only know of the unofficial name, but I'll leave the decision to all of you.

Deleting and moving with out redirects rights would be a blessing, I misnamed a a lot files because I didn't think it through, simply adding "JP" to the banners would have been the best solution.

 

Anyway, I'm not against listing min/max material numbers you can find in the game (I think there is a chance to get either 1~3 items from a sparkling spot) but it would be a lot of work to confirm these numbers and it's pointless in the end since the only time you will be actively collecting material items is when a new Keyblade is released.

 

I'm also for keeping the original Japanese name for a mission instead of just using the literal translation, at least in the infobox, since we're doing the same with practically everything else.

 

Edit: Since the new tabbing method broke almost all current medal pages we probably need a script to fix this.

<div style="float: right"><tabber>" needs to be replaced with "<div class="tabber goright" style="width:350px">", "|-|" needs to be replaced with "</div>" and "1★= " or "1★ = " (I've seen both) with "<div class="tabbertab" title="1★">", same for the other stars and "MAX", and finally "</tabber>" with another "</div>".

I'm not sure if this is a good idea, since Unchained is a mobile game, and the navboxes on KHWiki (which use the collapsible collapsed class), don't show up on mobile view. Unless we find a way to make it work on mobile view...

If it doesn't collapse on mobile view, that's fine -- it won't make mobile view any worse, and will make desktop view better.

I second Multiupload, it's extremely simple to use. Not to mention it doesn't automatically add templates and categories to the files it uploads. Upload Wizard just takes way to long, you might as well upload them all individually, which defeats the purpose.

 

And yes we really need a few more admins/moderators on the wiki. There are a slew of deletions needed, especially to fix mistaken redirect typos (whoops). I'd like to be one, to do just that honestly. We need to redirect a lot of files for the new medal template and unlike articles files are unable to re-redirect, which makes things a pain if you make a typo.

 

For the <references> tag, I think that's the Cite extension, correct? So that needs to be added.

 

Also, I'm not sure if these are enabled by default, but if they aren't I think enabling them will allow AWB to work.

I second Multiupload, it's extremely simple to use. Not to mention it doesn't automatically add templates and categories to the files it uploads. Upload Wizard just takes way to long, you might as well upload them all individually, which defeats the purpose.

 

And yes we really need a few more admins/moderators on the wiki. There are a slew of deletions needed, especially to fix mistaken redirect typos (whoops). I'd like to be one, to do just that honestly. We need to redirect a lot of files for the new medal template and unlike articles files are unable to re-redirect, which makes things a pain if you make a typo.

 

For the tag, I think that's the Cite extension, correct? So that needs to be added.

 

Also, I'm not sure if these are enabled by default, but if they aren't I think enabling them will allow AWB to work. 

$wgEnableAPI - Enable direct access to the data API through api.php.$wgEnableWriteAPI - Allow the API to be used to perform write operations (page edits, rollback, etc.) when an authorised user accesses it.

Should subpages for the main and template namespaces be turned on? I think it might be a good idea, for future things.

If not can you add the collapse class to the MediaWiki:Common.js, too? And change the sidebar Community Portal to Community portal.

 

I am very confused as to why AWB isn't working, it's really frustrating. I really don't know why we can't connect to the server with it. Aside from the above setting, I'm not sure what, if anything, needs to be done for it to work. There is an IRC channel for it, I think I'll ask around in there.

I think I skipped over MsUpload because as far as I understand, it doesn't add a dedicated multi upload page, it instead adds a drag&drop field onto each edit page, which I found counter intuitive to how uploads usually work in MediaWiki. But I've enabled it for now, let me know if you want me to keep it.

Sure, I'll give you temporary adminship too (done). We haven't decided any kind of processes yet for adding/removing admins but I guess sometime in the future we should formalise that. Feel free to make those changes.

So that's what that new box is! Is there any documentation I should refer to on how to use it?

 

Also, is there any way to Categorize image en masse? We need to add [[Category:Medal Images]] to the Medals, at least.
