atheist123 583 Posted April 11, 2016 (edited) I have been playing as a male so my upgrading has focused primarily on cosmetic items for my gender. I just realized that, if you care about being competitive, the best way to spend your Avatar points would probably be on pre-item upgrades for every item you can (even on the opposite gender). Do people think that the best use of Avatar points is doing this or are there specific upgrades after items which are worth the cost of spending 20+ points on cosmetic stuff which you won't use? It would be interesting if someone did a cost analysis on each upgrade and came up with an optimal upgrade path. I guess at the end of the day you will eventually get every upgrade but I'm just thinking early-mid game. Edited April 11, 2016 by atheist123
Zerrick 43 Posted April 11, 2016 Spend your points on the pre outfit nodes on both genders, it's pretty much a necessity in order to fit more 6* on your keyblade, anything after though is up to you. Right now I'm level 100 and I'm missing approximately 26 ap from the remaining boards that I have, but in order to get them I have to spend atleast 20 AC that's over 400 coins I don't see myself getting anytime soon, so for right now just stick to pre item nodes unless it's an outfit you actually want. 1 atheist123 reacted to this

Cool. Hopefully me buying a few frivolous things won't hurt me too much in the long run. It's interesting that the two genders have different avatar boards, though. I didn't check until later that they are actually different because, if I was designing the game, I would have both genders unlock at the same time. It was only when I had completely filled up one board that I realized that they were separate.
