Who is the least liked Kingdom Hearts exclusive character?

This is merely an opinionated topic. There really is no way to say for sure who is the least liked.

 

Today, I'd like to ask about who is the least liked Kingdom Hearts exclusive character overall. There is plenty if fan-art for all our favorites: Sora, Riku, Axel, Xehanort, Vanitas, Aqua, Lexaeus, Eraqus, Pence, Kairi, and so on, so forth. However, I believe there are at least TWO characters very, very few KH fans love. Who might they be?

 

Personally, I don't think Larxene is given enough credit! Sure, she's annoying, but I'd think there'd be at least one Larxene fan who'd come out and say they like her the most. I feel kind of sorry for Larxene...

 

But anyway, what do you ladies and gentlemen think about this? Do you agree, or do you think it's another character?

Personally the ones i find "meh" are Vexen and Lexaeus. They are just less amusing to me.

As for my least liked character its probably Lexaeus,he's boring

I've actually found that quite a few people have taken a liking to Larxene. Some even think she's hot Whatever floats your boat haha. I personally find her funny, for telling Roxas to go bang his head against glass (or something along those lines) in 358/2 Days. 

 

As for my least liked character, I think I'm going to have to go with Lexaeus as well. In every game he's appeared in, he's just so quiet and boring. Makes it hard to like him, when he's so stoic compared to all the other characters.

I think people don't like Larxene because she fits a "sadistic woman" trope and doesn't really offer much in the way of being an actual character. Doesn't help that she's basically only had one appearance.

 

Also her hair is stupid.

 

I didn't think people liked Lexeaus that much, which seems to be the case here =P. I also feel like people wouldn't have paid as much attention to Xaldin either if his boss fight wasn't insaaaaane.

I dislike 4 members of the cast. Ahem, let me explain why in order of whom I dislike the most. 

 

1. 

             

Damn I hate this kid, so much. Throughout the entirety of BBS all he does is moan and groan about Terra and Aqua leaving him. He wants to be grown up but he spends half the time sobbing over Terra instead of manning up and trying to find him. Ven is the text book definition of a whiny brat. His whole motivation for leaving the land of departure was misguided and unclear. His character was basically created as a Sora clone that's ironically dumber than Sora. I don't want him to wake up... just stay asleep forever Ven. Xehanort gripping this twerp up at the end of BBS gave me so much satisfaction. Then Nomura turns Sora's famous quote 'My friends are my power' into Ven's quote (since technically Ven did it first didn't he?). Ven is undeserving of Sora's quote. 

 

 2.

Terra. Man this guy is stuck up, if he wasn't so ignorant then maybe everyone's lives wouldn't be screwed up. Skip to 23:10.

 

Xehanort literally played the old 'LOOK OVER THERE IT'S A UNICORN' trick and from there everything went to absolute chaos. This 17 year old kid fell for the oldest trick in the book... He's so infuriatingly annoying, he just wanders off from the land of departure without even considering how his actions could impact the others. Although he lost the battle in the end (skip to 2:30)

he still chooses to act like Mr Big Shot! It's been over 10 years and the effort you've put into gaining your own body back has been F Grade. 

 

3. Lexaeus

Let me explain in short:

The Organization are about to roll out and Lexaeus comes up like ^. The organization respond with

This guy is a terrible person. He acts like mr big shot and is a douchebag to Roxas who could probably slice him in two. He got overthrown by a bunch of young adults yet he's meant to be the Sage King of Radiant garden, some ruler he is. His sob story at the end of KH2 about how he was a fool was just pathetic. Taken from KH wikia

Ansem's six apprentices used the laboratory in order to conduct inhumane experiments on the human heart and the darkness within it. Ansem immediately ordered his apprentices to cease their experiments and sealed the chamber.

The Heartless appear in groups, and are multiplying rapidly. I've provided them both living and nonliving samples. They've responded only to the living.

 

So Ansem the Wise's apprentices used live and dead bodies as test subjects for the heartless-YET YOU DIDN'T EVEN FIRE THEM OR ATTACK THEM or remove them from the castle or contact some form of authority? You just let told them 'hey that's bad-don't take live humans and experiment on them'.  WOW, I get he's a science man but c'mon now.

Lexaeus is just... Boring. But he's meant to be like that. He is called the "Silent Hero" for a reason.

 

Other than that, no character really bugs me. Larxene I guess? She was really just the obligatory bitchy character, nothing more, nothing less.

I actually quite like Larxene because she amuses me greatly. Her sadistic and cruel ways are hilarious when combined with that childlike giggle.

 

Who do I dislike? Honestly, I don't have much of a negative opinion on anyone. It ranges from adoration to meh, but nothing explicitly negative. I think Larxene, Xion, and Vexen get the most hate probably... kind of a shame because I adore them all but to each their own. 

Maybe the characters I'm most 'meh' about are Vanitas and Ansem SOD. Ansem SOD because his plotline is a lot less intriguing then Xemnas's to me, so he pales in comparison (also he doesn't have Xemnas's trademark excessive expressions so that's 0/10). Vanitas because... well he's got very little development honestly. Many have got a soft spot for him and I understand the appeal, just not for me. Both of which are still hilarious to me, so I get amusement out of them heh.

 

That being said I'm always open to development and changing my opinions! I like seeing multiple perspectives. I'm pretty chill on this kind of thing lol

Vexen tends to get the most hate. He's one of my favourites. Larxene is near the top of my list as well. (Mostly her Japanese VA does her justice.)

 

I most dislike...Xion? I guess. Made Days more of an ice cream simulator. (Especially the movie) Though her themes are wonderful.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I think that's a somewhat admirable quality - because I can't do it. I hate her so much that when my PS2 froze during one of her cutscenes, I wasn't mad, even though I hadn't saved and hand to redo the one fight and couldn't win.

I actually love Larxene!  She's just so sadistic and cruel... and I love it!  Not surprising though since Shion from Higurashi is my all time favorite female character.  I like Lexeaus too.  He looks kinda intimidating, but he seems to be quite intelligent.  And I also have have a hard time showing emotions, just like Lexeaus.  Beside these two, Vexen, Xion, and Terra seem to have a lot of haters, but I like these three.

 

Honestly, the two characters I really don't like are Xaldin and... Kairi (sorry Kairi fans).  I don't know why, but Xaldin really creeps me out.  I know its a bad excuse to hate someone for that reason, but he just makes me feel really uncomfortable.  As for Kairi, well... I find her to be a Mary Sue.  I know, I know, 'Mary Sue' is such an overused term, but that's how I see her.  I mean, she's both a Princess of Heart and a Keyblade weilder (and probably one of the seven lights too), and everyone loves her the moment they see her.  Hayner, Pence, Olette, Aqua, and Mickey barely know her, and yet the very moment they see her, they all think she's so special and nice.  I know this is also a bad reason to hate a character (especially since there are other Mary Sueish/Gary Stuish characters I like) but that's just how I see her.

The only thing I really hate about Larxene is her antenea/hair. I think that her personality is actually quite suitable, especially given she's the only female member of the Organization.

 

Lexeaus seems to have great respect for Zexion, but not much is expressed beyond that, aside from his dislike of those who fear strength. Hopefully Nomura expands a bit on Aeleus's character in KH3, as not enough is known of him to justifiably dislike him.

 

Vexen, although creepy with that chin of his, is actually among my top 3 favs in the Organization.

 

 

As for my personal dislikes, well...

 

DiZ/Ansem the Wise - While I do like that he's trying to make ammends, he still irked me a lot in KH2 and CoM with his rather smug attitude.

 

Kairi - Right from the beginning of KH1, I knew I wouldn't like her. She just seemed annoying to me in the first one. In KH2, well, she just seemed rather bland. Who knows, though? Maybe Nomura will actually give her a little more personality in KH3 and redeem her a little, which we can only hope for, given she's a female protagonist.

 

Sai'x/Isa - This here, though, is more of the whole, "the guy you love to hate" kind of thing for me. I absolutely hate that he basically cast aside his friendship for Axel, even if he did fall for Xemnas's whole "we don't have hearts" deal in the end. And his other reasoning behind it was just so cheap and petty. So what if Axel, Roxas and Xion became buds. Sai'x was the one who started getting stiff on Axel to begin with. On the other hand, I also like how cold he is toward Axel, Roxas and Xion, and how he also puts that on Sora.

 

Xaldin - Like Sai'x, he's kinda cold and too much of a stiffler, but without a whole lot of purpose, story-wise. He's always about following orders, which, honestly, made me wonder why Xehanort didn't take him? Though maybe he also bore some resentment toward Xemnas, or something on that end.

I don't know who's the least liked character overall, but I know with certainty that Larxene is my least favorite character.  In fact, she's the only one I have any dislike towards.  Her personality doesn't work well with me.  I really don't like her laugh.  There's an irritation in my ears each time I hear it.  What I despise of her most though is her second boss fight in Re Chain of Memories when I played it for the first time.  That fight was the hardest one for me in the whole game.  Between her teleporting rush attack, that thunderstorm move which causes a stun that lasts for a few seconds, and dealing eight hits with one attack card (which I find to be BS), I want to say I lost to her around 15 times.  And that was just on standard mode. 

 

If she doesn't show up in KH3, or ever throughout the rest of the series/franchise, I'd be extremely happy.  But if she does end up returning sometime in the future and as a boss fight, well, I'd take great joy in destroying her again.  >

 

To those who actually like Larxene, that's great.  I find it kind of cool to know that some people like her.  But for me, she's my least favorite.
