HarLea Quinn 26,501 Posted March 23, 2016 Hey guys, hope everyone is having a great day/night! We are posting a friendly reminder about a few things we are noticing around the forums. Please keep these rules in mind when posting 1. No multiple posts in a row. We don't care what the excuse is. No multiple posts in a row. If you need to add information, use the edit button or wait for someone to make a reply. One exception for this rule is for stories in the Creative Media section.2. Please put more than one word in a post. We consider posts with one word as not contributing to the discussion.3. None of us moderators can stress this enough. Use the report button. If you see a rule being broken, report it. Doesn't matter how trivial the rule broken is, use it. 4. Do not respond to bots - report them instead. 5. No junior modding. Report instead of posting what rule was broken or any other problem/issue you may have noticed. 6. Please do not post memes and gifs in serious discussion forums without any text discussion included. 7. No necroposting in the serious discussion forums. Exceptions for video game/media sections with general discussion threads. All of these things will help keep our forums organized and friendly! Thanks guys we appreciate your help and cooperation - The Mod Team 22 Galenvaf, Aang, MythrilMagician and 19 others reacted to this
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted March 23, 2016 I also wanted to add that another exception to the double-posting rule would be in the roleplay section. I know that sometimes a roleplayer needs to update the group in the sign-ups and it may otherwise be overlooked unless posting anew. ; ) 4 HarLea Quinn, WakelessDream, VisitJoan and 1 other reacted to this
Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted March 23, 2016 Rules shall be followed, and Mods continue to be beautiful bastards. (I don't mean bastards in bad sense. *Innocent face* X3) Side Note: I've seen some of the new Mods and...little surprised, but hey, I was surprised when you became a Mod, Lea and you're excellent at it, sooo... (Congrats, Mystics. ) 4 Solstice, HarLea Quinn, MythrilMagician and 1 other reacted to this

I'll always be a beautiful bastard of a mod. I'm Aang after all. 3 HarLea Quinn, Nero Kunivas and Mystics Apprentice reacted to this

VisitJoan 2,713 Posted March 24, 2016 The world needs more authority figures who are respectful like Flaming Lea. You give mods a good name. 1 HarLea Quinn reacted to this
Dracozombie 4,554 Posted March 24, 2016 If it weren't for who was posting it, I'd disregard everything that was said just on the principle of it being posted in comic sans font.
Dave 5,715 Posted March 24, 2016 If it weren't for who was posting it, I'd disregard everything that was said just on the principle of it being posted in comic sans font. I would have posted it in wingdings, so that people would need to decode it in order to find out the rules they are meant to follow. 2 Dracozombie and Shana09 reacted to this

By hitting the edit button, it won't send a notification that there's a new post in the thread therefore people won't see it. 1 Mystics Apprentice reacted to this
Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted March 24, 2016 (edited) Completely agree. By hitting the edit button, it won't send a notification that there's a new post in the thread therefore people won't see it. This is especially important to me. Say there was news on something and the general discussions thread you needed to post it in hasn't been touched in awhile (maybe a year). Editing a post isn't going to allow people to know the news they need for certain things. Now if edits notified people, or bumped a thread forward, this wouldn't be a small issue as it is now. But this is only an exception in the Roleplay threads. Not in other threads. People already try to bump threads constantly that aren't even old by double or triple posting and this is a definite problem too. ( although a general discussion thread in media that has not been touched in a year might warrant an exception too) 1 Hero of Winds reacted to this
