Can't really argue with KH II: It had the widest selection, and most of them were pretty great design wise, with a lot of areas.

This is cheating, but KH original is second place is worlds for the selection, but some weren't designed as well as they were in sequels.

DDD BY FAR. The worlds are colorful and so damn gorgeous, in comparison to the dull looking worlds of KH2, re-com and days. BBS is second, I felt like I was in Disney Town when playing through the world.

DDD had a range of different world: the calm but luminous Traverse town, the more urban Notre Dame, the ominous and frightening World that never was- then you had Symphony of Sorcery that was always changing scenery, the grid with the cyber/retro look but it captured the live action visuals of Tron Evolution perfectly.KH2 failed to capture Port Royal properly imo (mainly due to the PS2 being pretty weak compared to a 3DS). In 2.8 the game is looking even more gorgeous :D.

Apart from BBS, most of the worlds in the other games looked pretty damn horrible. Especially in Days since it was a DS game. BBS did have a bit too many worlds that revolved around Disney princesses tho. I loved DDD so much since there were NEW areas to explore and they looked stunning. Plus I wasn't repeating the same steps in every single world like I was in KH2, Days, BBS, KH1 or RE-COM

I would have to say KH1. KH2 would closely follow for me. The main problem with the worlds in KH is that they are mostly just large places that are strangely completely empty. That's why I wasn't a huge fan of the DDD worlds also. They are colorful and awesome but they're just too big for my liking and they're very empty. KH1 had a few random NPC's hre and there and the designs are really nice and accurate when compared to the original movie.

KH2. KH1 was pretty dull to be frank, all it had was Olympus Coliseum, "Neverland" and Halloween Town as memorable Disney Worlds if you ask me.

DDD worlds felt rushed, obviously due to the dual story gameplay, but still.

Oh goodddd, then there's BBS, that, oh wow... lol, at least a majority of the worlds were extremely fitting, I guess...

I'm tempted to say KH3D or BBS because a lot of the Disney worlds in those games were ones I wanted to visit in KH,  but I also felt they fell short, seeming empty at times. (Looking at you La Cite des Cloches)

That being said, looking at things both selection and design wise I think I'd have to go with the majority here saying KHII.

Oh ho, definitely Kingdom Hearts II!  The worlds are very varied, fleshed out, and there's even some worlds that have quite a few NPC's walking around, such as Twilight Town and Radiant Garden! The world designs of Kingdom Hearts II easily come across as my favorites!  But I'm pretty sure that Kingdom Hearts III will be eclipsing that! :D

While I am very nostalgic of kh1 by the time kh2 came around Nomura had become a lot more comfortable evidently with how the kingdom hearts universe had to look visually, the series hasn't reached the same heights visually since then due to lack of main titles but I can see kh3 being even more visually fantastic.

interviews with Nomura hint at the worlds in kh3 being more populated and interactive, I believe at one point he also mentioned something about NPC's reacting to battle, so fingers crossed on your part! :)

I don't know know about world selection on KH1 at being the best, but i definitely liked the designs better as it wasn't so straight forward with everything, and there were multiple paths you could take.
