jorrell3946 70 Posted March 15, 2016 I think the reason why KHUX hasn't released yet in the west is because translation is of course being done for the English Version but it's also possibly being done simultaneously with the Japanese Version! September of last year it was revealed that the files in the game were translated in English which leads me to believe that with every new story update released they were already translated by the localization team! This proves that localization is still being worked on and I can see two ways of when to release the game in the west, either when the story is complete for both KHUX and KHX which could take longer then expected with the current release pattern of story updates for both games, or when KHUX story is on par with KHX's which will be next month! I can't really speculate when the game will release but this is my theory on what the current situation is with Unchained X. Let me know what you guys think? 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this
Guest Posted March 15, 2016 I have a very good feeling that it will be an E3 release. Hype up Kingdom Hearts III and keep the momentum going through KH Unchained X.

Minato arisato 253 Posted March 15, 2016 (edited) that "phone game" has very important stuff in it. For hardcore fans but isn't worth it for a large fan base who only cares for KH3, And if it's in a phone it's probably not important or will be somewhat explained in 3 and if it isn't then its proof this is another filler game Edited March 15, 2016 by Minato arisato

Minato arisato 253 Posted March 15, 2016 and that is one of the problems with this fan base I dunno what you expect from a fan base that enjoy reaction events when they're just Fancy QTEs or how this series is supposed to be a action RPG but no one bats as of now as the series is just a hack and slash

MythrilMagician 6,963 Posted March 15, 2016 Square don't take their mobile games as seriously as their console games. So, you may be right about the localisation part, but the servers are also another thing to worry about. Plus, they'll likely make the announcement of KHUX's western release over Twitter. The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted March 16, 2016 At this rate, Unchained X's international release is like a far off dream, that's like a scattered memory. A scattered memory, that's like a far off dream, ya know? Lol, I just had to do that! But seriously though, I expect we could get the game by the end of this month, or, like Alpha Baymax mentioned, we could get the game near E3, cuz that'd be a neat way of keeping up the hype with the Kingdom Hearts 2.8 and III news we'll be getting! 1 Lights_Guardian reacted to this
Svard 164 Posted March 16, 2016 I almost wonder if they are waiting to finish the story of KHX before they release it, so as to provide a "complete game." Ah, but that is merely a thought. After all, it is still going to be web-based, so it would still make sense to update the story as they went. 1 NoWay reacted to this
Kingdomhe 1,362 Posted March 16, 2016 in any case i really think the soonest we will get it is E3 since that was when it was announced for the US and Europe.

Oh geez -_- why must you do that? Anyway, I for one have just been paying attention to Everglow's walkthrough of KHX. I am satisfied with that, but I would like to get the title. I would assume they would have something for E3 for it, but I just hope they do. They might announce its release there. 1 The Transcendent Key reacted to this

Lol, because it's pun worthy, and you know it! I had begun watching Everglow's playthrough, but when it was announced we'd get Unchained X, I stopped, because I wanted to experience the game for myself! Correction, I still want to experience the game, so I stopped watching the playthrough, so I don't spoil myself, ya know? But yeah, we could get Unchained at E3, kind of like how Bethesda suddenly revealed Fallout 4 to the surprise of many gamers, and like how the Platinum Demo was dropped the same day of Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV! At E3, after all the KH news we'd get, Nomura would just say: "Oh, and Unchained X's available for the rest of the world now, enjoy!" and then he drops the microphone and leaves! Nathan Hatton 274 Posted April 3, 2016 The more I think about this, the more I'm guessing SE is gonna release the English version when the game is done. In Japan, installment games are pretty popular. And this isn't the first one in Kingdom Hearts either, ironically the other was also a mobile game though a pre-smartphone one = the original Coded. SE new that format wouldn't succeed outside of Japan so we never go the game until Re:Coded was made. If Unchained X had no story, I could see them releasing it with updates for new levels and content similar to candy crush or clash of clans, etc. But because it does, I'm guessing they expect there to be a large drop-off in users if they regularly have to wait for story updates via a few new text scenes every month or two. So when we will get it, in my mind, really just depends on when they finish the story.
KingdomHearts3 2,591 Posted April 4, 2016 Now I shall answer this question properly: it will release in the west on April 7th.
