Final Fantasy IV is such an amazing game, and I'm sure you'd love it!  It's my favorite numbered Final Fantasy, it's just so epic! X_X  Chrono Trigger is also a good game to check out!  I played it recently, and it's definitely pretty good!

VIII and IX were very succesful, but they weren't as great in my opinion (especially VIII).

Haven't heard of Mindjack. However, after looking at Metacritic's score, that might be why.
