KHUX ' Seeker of Darkness'peculation- how the last story update could relate to KH3 and the Keyblade War

Recommended Posts

The last story update was very, very, very Interesting and made me think think of possible scenarios of ways we could relate this to Kh3 and the upcoming Keyblade War.

Firstly I'll provide a summary to serve as a hypothesis for a potential ' Heartless of the Fallen' scenario. Our Avatar encounters a new character called Skuld who appears to have come from the same faction as our missing friend Ephemera. In her dream Ephemera told her to seek out our Avatar and also added that the End is near. We then hear a loud explosion nearby and see 2 Foretellers in full combat; this is where a group of Heartless appear and start to demand for the Lux. Prompting a fight between them and us, the Dark Chirithy then reveals they were ex keyblade wielders that gave into the darkness...

Right; let me know explain my ' Heartless of the Fallen' situation ( Later becoming Seeekrs of Darkness) I believe that when a Keyblade wielders becomes a heartless then the ' Fallen wielder' maintains full consciousness and has free will to decide their actions rather than Heartless purely seeking out new hearts to capture. Although a brief defintion; I hope you get the basic drift.

Now if they willingly accept darkness then I'd wager that this makes them the amongst the truly first ' Seekers of Darkness'. This is my first small tie in to KH3- I don't believe these new enemies want the Lux to simply eradicate the light; however I think like Xehanort they want the Lux to create an Equilibrium between Light and Darkness.

However if one wanted to take another path and believe that our ' Seekers of Darkness' do wish to have the light themselves then we could relate this to the Keyblade War where the light was fought over and seeing as power is a key element to the fall of these wielders then this could explain their motivation.

Linking directly to the Keyblade War- I believe that these wielders belong to the same faction as those of the 6th apprentice. Just because they didn't become a foreteller we have no evidence to suggest that they didn't take on apprentices of their own and I believe what we fought were the ex apprentices of the 6th apprentice and that whilst the foretellers probably did clash; I believe these seekers of darkness also contributed to the war and perhaps we'll see a shift from the Foretellers clashing to the original ' Guardians of Light' ( foretellers; our avatar and the other apprentices) vs the 6th apprentice and the seekers of darkness.

Not only would this increase the importance of the 6th apprentice; but also directly relate to Kh3. I'd be willing to wager that the second keyblade war will play a similar way to the above. Also and this is the part which may seem controversial; what If either the 12 other seekers of darkness Morphed into what we saw in KH3 and that a fully norted person evolves to one of these beings? Or secondly what if during the final battle with Xehanort; he completely accepts the darkness and becomes a ' seeker of darkness' and this could act as an Almost ' God form' meaning he'd be hard to defeat and that the Lux gathered during CHI provides Sora with the strength to defeat him.

It's an interesting theory, though I'm sure Nomura's plan is going to go in another direction nobody saw coming. Although I do wonder why Sora never became like those Heartless. Maybe it has to do with the fact that he willingly gave up his heart without really accepting or submitting to the darkness in his heart. Or maybe it was simply because his darkness wasn't that strong at the time. Either way, this new story update opens many possibilities, and not in the way that people were complaining about with the time travel thing, like in a way that each KH game always seems to do. I can't wait to find out more. <3

I still highly believe that the XIII Seekers of Darkness are;

I. Master Xehanort

II. Xigbar

III. Young Xehanort

IV. Xemnas

V. Ansem Seeker of Darkness

VI. Saïx

VII. Terranort

VIII. Vanitas

IX. Xion (Yes, you read that right.)

X. Luxord

XI. Master Ava/Vulpeus

XII. Ephemera

XIII. ???

That statement I highlighted is very plausible, remember when Sora became a heartless and we controlled him temporarily? He was moving after Kairi of his own accord rather than attacking people. When donald hit him he didn't fight back.

I agree with you; one could even Argue that the heartless showed some recognition of his original being's friends too which further suggests a level of consciousness. Also when shadows spawned around them; they were ' hostile' which shows a lack of free will. Carrying on; one needs to have a strong heart to wield a keyblade anyway; so if one then did become a heartless then I don't see why that heartless shouldn't be unique amongst the others and if I might add; the nobody of such a being would be powerful too and I would argue would probably be ' human nobodies' rather than disks etc

I've switched Luxord for Marluxia and Ava for Skuld. Seekers of darkness do not have to willingly accept their Seeker of Darkness role to be one as proven in KH3D when Xehanort tried to make Sora the thirteenth vessel. Marluxia is too powerful to be ignored by Master Xehanort (despite Xemnas being dis-interested in him), Replica Riku has an identity if he is fused with Xehanort and Skuld is associated with the Sixth faction.

I agree. There are too many resemblances for 3 of them, to make a faction together. Ephemera, Xehanort, Skuld.

This is nice. I think this might be the reason behind everything we saw. This is my opinion. Mind you, KHX took place long ago in the ancient times. What we saw happen with the Keyblade wielders is what we have seen in the present age. When a weak hearted person fears darkness, darkness takes them and they lose their heart. The dark Chirithy did say that. Back them, the concept was new and so it shocked them. Now as for the Foretellers, I believe the person in the black coat, who is the sixth apprentice in my opinion, put something in one of the Foretellers' ears and had them turn on each other. With this conflict, darkness can now rise more strongly and soon be able to fight the light in the Keyblade War and snuff out most of the light.

I've changed Xehanort to the 6th Foreteller. This is the first "anti-hero" trio that we've seen in the series so far...
