E3 2016 Floor Plan Released; Square Enix will have the same booth as last year's E3

On Saturday, March 5th 2016, the floor plan for E3 2016 was released. The floor plan details where each company will have booths set up for those attending the conference and Square Enix will have their booth set up in the same place as last year's E3 in the south hall. Thanks to the NeoGAF forums the layout can be seen here below but please be aware this is subject to change.

 

 

On March 4th the executive producer of Disney Infinity @John Vignocchi confirmed on Twitter that Disney interactive will not have a booth at this year's E3:

 

"Hey guys re: E3 - We're focused on different activations throughout the year that allow us to engage directly with our fans and community."

I doubt but I wonder if KH 2.8 demo will be playable at E3.

2.8 will be there no doubt, KH3 info will likely come from interviews alone. Square has a lot more pressing games to show off this year.

2.8 is very likely to appear at E3 since they already stated that they would pick up PR for that title soon. And it's a game that's supposed to release this year and still needs a concrete release date. E3 would be the perfect time for that and to advertise it.

 

 

KH3 however... it does have a chance to appear in one form or another. Even if it's just a few new screenshots, it might be mentioned regardless of other games being closer to be released, considering that we received a trailer last year too.

 

 

I'm also hoping for some Unchained X news if it doesn't release until then. It would be good if they did it like Bethesda and reveal the release date of 2.8 and then say that KHUX will be available shortly after the announcement. Especially with the new story update for Chi and the story progressing to a crucial point, I really want to play it before X Back Cover, even if it may not be nowhere near finished by then.

With this major story update that clearly shows they're gearing up for the endgame, it's starting to look more and more like Square is just waiting for the main story to be complete before releasing it outside of Japan.

Omg, I'm really hoping that both Kingdom Hearts III and 2.8 show up, alongside Unchained X's release date for the rest of the world, because I seriously want to play this game already!!!  I wonder what this year's E3 will have in store for us?  Gahhh, I can't wait!

I predict we'll get new trailers for both 2.8 and KHIII, but it is WAY TOO EARLY for anything to be playable at this point. Short answer: DDD: HD is probably going to take too long to port from 3DS to PS4 to be playable at e3.

Hopefully there will be some Kingdom Hearts UNCHAINED X related news, since it's almost been a full year since that trailer aired and so far there has been no word on development in between. I don't think most companies talk that much about mobile phone game development progress that much in the US side of things anyway, but it would still be good to be given some kind of acknowledgement trailer, or some kind of statement like "Coming soon", or even a release window of some kind. Hopefully we still get it before the English release of 2.8, cause there is almost no point in featuring any X related content without the game itself being out yet.

 

But yeah I'm certain we will get a new 2.8 trailer and maybe even an early demo with the HDDD and maybe even a glimpse at some Back Cover scenes and maybe, just maybe, a look at 0.2 and it's gameplay in trailer form.

 

And I'm sure there will at least be one little nugget of KH3 news they can tell us about. If we're lucky we might just get a new trailer, and maybe it might feature some cutscenes if any other actors have finished some work earlier in the year.

 

With three games to show off there better be some considerable amount of news this year. I really hope the case doesn't become where the only thing they talk about is 2.8 and we hear almost nothing about KH3 and absolutely nothing about Unchained X. If Square wants to be smart about this, they're going to play with their whole hand.
